Would you want to go through a black hole? Not mine.

• 1:11Drew Afualo?

I said, are you offering? I may be down.

• 1:20Drew Afualo?

Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Comment Section Show, starring me, your fave, everybody knows me, who cares about me. Onto the guest today, we have another all-star banger. It's the one, the only, the iconic, the legendary Bob the Drag Queen.

• 1:36Speaker 02

This is my second time on the Comment Section.

• 1:38Drew Afualo?

  It sure is, queen.

• 1:39Speaker 02

  Who's your most visited guest?

• 1:41Drew Afualo?

  My most visited?

• 1:42Speaker 02

Who's been on the pod the most?

• 1:44Drew Afualo?

Well, I have quite a few now that I've done two. They're all kind of equal across the board. There's no one, no one's done more than two.

• 1:49Speaker 02

I feel like Kaito's gonna be the first three.

• 1:51Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:52Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:52Drew Afualo?

  He wants me so bad.

• 1:54Speaker 02

  Ms. Heron, he's obsessed.

• 1:55Drew Afualo?

He is, he is. I have to be like, I am taken.

• 1:58Speaker 02

And he wants me so bad, and I am available.

• 2:03Drew Afualo?

  So...

• 2:06Drew Afualo?

I'm so honored to have you back, you fucking legend.

• 2:08Speaker 02

I'm happy to be back. Thank you for having me. Have you thought about turning your, like, using your laugh to do like voiceover work?

• 2:13Drew Afualo?

  Yes, of course I have.

• 2:14Speaker 02

It's a little bit, uh, what's his name? Luke Skywalker. Original Luke Skywalker.

• 2:20Drew Afualo?

  Darth Vader?

• 2:21Speaker 02

Mark Ham- it was a little Mark Hamill.

• 2:23Drew Afualo?

Mark Hamill? I've never heard Mark Hamill laugh.

• 2:24Speaker 02

Well, it's not his laugh, but Mark Hamill played the Joker and he had a laugh that goes.

• 2:30Drew Afualo?

Did you ever watch The Proud Family?

• 2:33Speaker 02

I didn't have Disney growing up.

• 2:34Drew Afualo?

  Oh, because you're a hundred.

• 2:35Speaker 02

Yeah, exactly. But back when they didn't even have television.

• 2:39Drew Afualo?

Your TV had that crank on the side.

• 2:41Speaker 02

Yeah, no one had a, we had a.

• 2:44Speaker 02

You had to put gas in the TV. But luckily, gas was a nickel a gallon.

• 2:49Drew Afualo?

  There's a grandpa.

• 2:50Speaker 02

Did you know Nickelodeon is called that because of, a Nickelodeon is a movie theater where the movie's a nickel?

• 2:56Drew Afualo?

  I did not know that.

• 2:57Speaker 02

  That's what a Nickelodeon is.

• 2:58Drew Afualo?

Did you learn that from TikTok?

• 2:59Speaker 02

  I learned that from Nickelodeon.

• 3:03Drew Afualo?

There's a character on The Proud Family that's a grandpa and his name is Poppy. That's what they call him and he laughs exactly like me.

• 3:09Speaker 02

  That's hilarious.

• 3:10Drew Afualo?

And I thought people were dragging it a little bit when they first started telling me. Then I looked at the clips and I said, all right, you guys got it. You got me.

• 3:15Speaker 02

  You located with that one.

• 3:16Drew Afualo?

All right, I'll give you that one.

• 3:18Speaker 02

You ate, you chewed, you swallowed. You chewed, you swallowed.

• 3:21Drew Afualo?

That's me with like, are you ever, are you tired of hearing, wait, I have a wonderful question for you that's random because you're so unbelievably funny, obviously.

• 3:28Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 3:28Drew Afualo?

But do you ever say something about yourself that's like, clearly it's like self-deprecating joke, but it's really funny? And then it kind of catches on and then you kind of get sick of hearing it because you're like, that's my joke.

• 3:41Speaker 02

No, for sure, yeah. Then, I mean, I can't think of anything right now, but yeah, there are different times where I have deprecated myself in a way and I'm like, all right, that was, that was for me. Not too much, not too much, not too much. I'll, I'll do that bit, I'll do that bit. One time I was at this show, oh, here's a story. This is a true story that happened one time.

• 3:56Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 3:56Speaker 02

It was when I, it was when I first ever touring gigs after being cast on Drag Race. It was before the show aired. I was at a place called Our Place.

• 4:03Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 4:03Speaker 02

In Seattle, Washington. And, uh, this guy came up to me and he just goes, I gotta tell you, Bob, I love you. I said, thank you. That's so sweet. Thank you. He goes, you know, you know what I love about you? I said, what is it? I'm just smiling, big shit eating grin on my face. And I said, oh, he goes, for you, it's about the talent. I said, oh, thank you. He goes, you care about the artist and the performance. I said, thank you. That's very, very true. Then he goes, you don't care what you look like.

• 4:29Drew Afualo?

  Oh, right. Right, right.

• 4:35Speaker 02

I was like, I'm sorry, what? You don't care, you don't care how you look. I was like, I feel like I put effort into my look today. Granted, this may not be the best I've ever looked, but that gagged me.

• 4:47Drew Afualo?

You said, yeah, I'm gonna have to go look in the mirror a couple more times, but you know what?

• 4:50Speaker 02

  Literally.

• 4:50Drew Afualo?

  Appreciate you.

• 4:51Speaker 02

You don't care what, look at you. You're a fucking mess with the show.

• 4:59Speaker 02

My god, this show is good.

• 5:01Drew Afualo?

  Oh, but the quality, yeah.

• 5:02Speaker 02

Have you done live shows yet?

• 5:04Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I have. I've done podcast tour show live.

• 5:07Speaker 02

  Got it.

• 5:08Drew Afualo?

I did like, for my book tour, I, my sister and I have a podcast together and that's what I took on the road to promote my book. And I just did a show in Vancouver, actually.

• 5:16Speaker 02

  Nice.

• 5:16Drew Afualo?

  My first time in Canada.

• 5:17Speaker 02

Was it a podcast or was it just you?

• 5:19Drew Afualo?

It was our show, but it's all improv because we're a user submitted podcast. So like, we have people in the audience submit stuff live and then we read them backstage before we come out. And then we choose like five or six of them and then we just kind of riff. And I involve the audience to an extent.

• 5:35Speaker 02

  To a degree.

• 5:36Drew Afualo?

Because I'm sure you know, and I've seen some of your clips too where people get a little, they get a little too confident.

• 5:41Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah.

• 5:42Drew Afualo?

You give them a mic, they start losing it a little bit.

• 5:44Speaker 02

But you never lose control, never let them hold the mic.

• 5:46Drew Afualo?

  Exactly.

• 5:46Speaker 02

Do you do Mean Grease Your shows? Do you do Mean Grease Your shows?

• 5:50Drew Afualo?

  I've done before.

• 5:51Speaker 02

Yeah, me too. Yeah, you're gonna, yeah, yeah.

• 5:53Drew Afualo?

  After's crazy.

• 5:54Speaker 02

Yes. You don't care how you look.

• 5:56Drew Afualo?

  I know, for real.

• 5:57Speaker 02

  Do people traumatize on you?

• 5:59Drew Afualo?

  Yes, all the time.

• 6:01Speaker 02

What's wrong with, do I have any, like, do I have any fans who weren't gonna kill themselves?

• 6:09Speaker 02

Were all of you gonna kill yourself? This is crazy.

• 6:12Drew Afualo?

That's the one common thread they have, your fandom.

• 6:14Speaker 02

I don't know what's, well, to be honest, my fans aren't that bad. I, I've traveled with a couple of the queens who have that, Trixie and Katia, all of their fans were gonna kill themselves, all of them.

• 6:22Drew Afualo?

  Their fans are, are...

• 6:24Speaker 02

They don't even like their fans.

• 6:25Drew Afualo?

They're, they're in the millions and they are persistent. Like, they pay attention to everything. When I posted Katia when she was on my show, that one time like three years ago. And then she turned back into a bat and I haven't been able to catch her since.

• 6:38Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 6:39Drew Afualo?

When she was on the show, she posted a picture of us with the silliest cartoon filter on it. And was like gabbing with the girls, like some shit like that. She tagged me in it, I saw it. Ten seconds later, she just posted it. Ten seconds later, I got tagged in like twenty Katya Trixie fan accounts. All of them going, oh my god, Katya's going on the comment section. The comment section is featuring Drew off, like literally on Twitter, on Instagram, on, it was crazy.

• 7:04Speaker 02

This is why they don't do meet and greets anymore.

• 7:06Drew Afualo?

  I'm not surprised.

• 7:07Speaker 02

Uh, one of Katya's fans brought a, uh, brought a, bought a, brought a severed foot, their own severed foot to the meet and greet.

• 7:18Drew Afualo?

  Are you lying?

• 7:19Speaker 02

I'm not lying. You can Google it.

• 7:20Drew Afualo?

I saw the human teeth one. I saw.

• 7:22Speaker 02

No, someone had their foot amputated and they brought the foot to the meet and greet and handed it to Katya.

• 7:30Drew Afualo?

  And did she take it?

• 7:31Speaker 02

She took it, she held it, she held it up to her ear, she cuddled it, she cradled it, and, um.

• 7:37Drew Afualo?

Well, see, that's what happens when you put Nosferatu in a wig. That's what happens.

• 7:39Speaker 02

There it is. And this is why I don't fucking do, this is why they don't do meet and greet. I, my fans are, my fans are a little more grounded. A little more grounded.

• 7:47Drew Afualo?

  They're a little less Nosferatu.

• 7:48Speaker 02

  Both feet on the ground.

• 7:49Drew Afualo?

  Right. Yeah, that's.

• 7:51Speaker 02

Ten toes down, my fans. That's, isn't that crazy?

• 7:55Drew Afualo?

  That is insane.

• 7:56Speaker 02

  It's too much.

• 7:56Drew Afualo?

That's scary as fuck. Oh my god, they're showing me a picture of it. That's fucking crazy. And she had a blast, I bet.

• 8:02Speaker 02

  I'm sure it's.

• 8:03Drew Afualo?

  That's the scariest part.

• 8:04Speaker 02

It's disgusting. It's repulsive. I'm gonna go ahead and say it. I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Amputated foot is repulsive.

• 8:10Drew Afualo?

Am I allowed to say it?

• 8:12Speaker 02

And even if I'm lying, I'm gonna say it anyway. It's disgusting.

• 8:16Drew Afualo?

That is disgusting. When I went on tour last year, like all summer, it was really fun, but like it was, tour's fucking hard and I, it's exhausting. And I'm finding out in my old, er, older age, as I get older, I really don't like leaving my house very often.

• 8:31Speaker 02

  Ooh.

• 8:32Drew Afualo?

  As I start getting older.

• 8:33Speaker 02

Are we one in the same? I, whenever I do anything, it goes, where's the place you like to go about home?

• 8:41Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 8:42Speaker 02

  I wanna go home.

• 8:43Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 8:44Speaker 02

  I'm a Dora Lano. I'm going home.

• 8:47Speaker 02

Been to the crime, I'm sending myself home. I love to be home more than I love to be anywhere. I don't like going to restaurants. I don't like going to clubs. I don't like going, I like, I'll go to my friends' houses. I'll go to my house. I'll go to my studio.

• 9:00Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 9:02Speaker 02

And then when I'm out, I stay at my hotel.

• 9:04Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 9:04Speaker 02

Because here's my thing, this is gonna be a hot take too. There's like, three, maybe four cities in the world. There's the one with the beach, the one with the trees, the one with the buildings.

• 9:15Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 9:15Speaker 02

And the one in the suburbs.

• 9:16Drew Afualo?

  Uh huh.

• 9:17Speaker 02

And they just speak different languages there.

• 9:18Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 9:19Speaker 02

And the people are different colors. But those are all the ones. If you've been to Miami, you've been to Barcelona. You, they're the same, it's the same one.

• 9:27Drew Afualo?

  That's actually so real.

• 9:28Speaker 02

If you've been to London, you've been to New York, you've been to Paris, they're just talking different in each town.

• 9:33Drew Afualo?

That's very true. And you know what's funny is when I went to London, I was like, this is New York, but cleaner.

• 9:37Speaker 02

  Also grayer.

• 9:38Drew Afualo?

  And grayer, yeah, it's raining.

• 9:39Speaker 02

If possible, it's just shit weather all the time.

• 9:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, all, all the time. And I remembered too, when I went, like, we, when I vacation, like, my idea of a vacation is going somewhere and doing nothing. Like, if I even get that far. It's going and laying down and maybe tanning and maybe swimming.

• 9:58Speaker 02

  Amazing.

• 9:58Drew Afualo?

  That's it.

• 9:59Speaker 02

You know who likes to go and do stuff?

• 10:01Drew Afualo?

Who? You like to go do things?

• 10:03Speaker 02

  This, this means white people.

• 10:04Drew Afualo?

White people. I, I didn't know what you were doing. I thought you were pointing at yourself.

• 10:06Speaker 02

White people are like, I'm gonna go on a vacation, and you know what I'm gonna do? Hike.

• 10:11Speaker 02

Carry things, take a class, make pottery.

• 10:14Drew Afualo?

  Learn. Go to a museum?

• 10:16Speaker 02

It's a vacation, bitch. Go lay your ass down. I like to go to a place, um, with a couple of friends, rent a giant Airbnb and never leave it.

• 10:25Drew Afualo?

  Literally me.

• 10:26Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 10:26Drew Afualo?

I'm not even kidding. For my sister's 30th birthday, like, two years ago, I rented this, like, old, it was like an old hotel. But it had like nine bedrooms, and it was like, I just rented that, and then all our friends and family came and stayed in one house, and we went out one singular night.

• 10:42Speaker 02

  Amazing.

• 10:43Drew Afualo?

And the rest of the time, we played board games inside and canceled everything else we had planned.

• 10:46Speaker 02

I will, I will go to show, I like going to shows.

• 10:48Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I love a show.

• 10:49Speaker 02

  Plays, comedy shows.

• 10:50Drew Afualo?

  Love that.

• 10:51Speaker 02

Uh, I, I like going to those things, yeah.

• 10:52Drew Afualo?

Me too. And it's funny, because when we vacationed with like, other people, we've been like, you know what?

• 10:59Drew Afualo?

I think we should establish what kind of vacation people we are.

• 11:02Speaker 02

  For sure.

• 11:02Drew Afualo?

Ahead of time, because the first time I went to Walt Disney World, we went with my cousin Josh and his husband. And we went there.

• 11:08Speaker 02

  Are they open?

• 11:10Drew Afualo?

  Sorry?

• 11:10Speaker 02

  Are they open?

• 11:11Drew Afualo?

  No, they are not.

• 11:12Speaker 02

No, it's perfect. I understand, that's okay. You're not there yet, Josh.

• 11:17Drew Afualo?

And when I went with them, we, they had been there before, so we were excited to be there and like, they're like doer, doers. They love doing things. And the first day, we were like, okay, well, we'll, we'll try our best to keep up, like my family. And then we, we went through the whole day. I felt like we did a thousand things.

• 11:34Speaker 02

  It's too much.

• 11:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 11:35Speaker 02

  Oh, and Josh?

• 11:37Drew Afualo?

  He's in his 40s. He's 40.

• 11:38Speaker 02

Okay, that kind of scared, that kind of scares.

• 11:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then when we got back, we were getting on that little fucking train that takes you back to the hotels. And we were getting on and it's like 11pm, almost midnight. And he's going, do you guys want to do like a rope drop tomorrow at the other thing? And we don't know what that means, so we're like, sure. And then he goes, okay, then we'll meet. Yeah, so we'll meet at like 6:00 and then my mom goes, AM? And he goes, yeah, and then she goes, yeah, we won't be there, no.

• 12:03Speaker 02

Baby, if you tell me, if you're on vacation, you tell me about 6am plans, I would rather shit in my hands and clap in front of my face with my mouth open. Then go climb ropes at 6am.

• 12:16Drew Afualo?

  Also fuck a hike.

• 12:18Speaker 02

  I'm not hi- hiking!

• 12:19Drew Afualo?

Hiking, I hate, I love that you hate hiking, so do I. I fucking hate hiking.

• 12:23Speaker 02

  I don't get it.

• 12:24Drew Afualo?

Walk places and look, I'm good.

• 12:26Speaker 02

I don't get it. Google Maps is available.

• 12:30Speaker 02

I'll look it up on Google Worldview.

• 12:31Drew Afualo?

I feel so validated and seen by you because I've been like, I don't need to do that because like, I could just look up a picture of it.

• 12:37Speaker 02

  Literally.

• 12:37Drew Afualo?

I don't need to do that.

• 12:38Speaker 02

And honestly, guys, often it looks just like it looks in the picture.

• 12:43Speaker 02

It might look a little, you might be like, oh, I thought it'd be bigger, or I thought it'd be smaller. It's like a dick pic. Oh, I thought it looked, I thought it'd be bigger.

• 12:49Drew Afualo?

  But that's it.

• 12:51Speaker 02

That's the one. We saw the Eiffel Tower.

• 12:54Drew Afualo?

  There it is.

• 12:55Speaker 02

  Wasn't that cool?

• 12:56Drew Afualo?

Also, when I went to Paris, they're so racist there. It made it almost impossible to enjoy.

• 13:02Speaker 02

Paris is bad. Not as bad. Let me tell you now, there is one country that you cannot, you, okay, you, I don't think you can pay me. You'd have to offer an absurd amount of money to give me to go there. There's this one country, and almost every black person I know is like this. In fact, the comments are already, the comment section's already, they're already typing in the name of this one specific country. I was doing a show, it's not this country, but I was doing a show in Zagreb, Croatia, and a guy from this country said, hey, you left us off the tour. You have to come back to Italy. You will never, in your, in your linguine eating life, catch me back in Italy.

• 13:40Drew Afualo?

Honestly, I believe you. I've heard that.

• 13:42Speaker 02

Unless I have to go there. I went there during the Madonna tour. We did two stops in Italy, and it was only because we literally had to. I, I do not like that country.

• 13:50Drew Afualo?

  I don't, I don't blame you.

• 13:51Speaker 02

They are monsters, racist, racist monsters.

• 13:54Drew Afualo?

We had like a really, really terrible experience in Paris with a restaurant that we made reservations at. Mind you, like, when I was initially gonna go to Paris, it was just gonna be me, my fiance, my cousin Adam, who does my hair and makeup, and then my sister. We're all obviously brown. I was like, going to a foreign country I've never been to before, especially one like that, I'm gonna need at least one resident white to lead the pack.

• 14:17Speaker 02

  You need a white, yeah.

• 14:18Drew Afualo?

Right. So then my agent Alex comes, she's white, and we love her. And so when we get, she's been to Paris before, so she kinda like helps us.

• 14:25Speaker 02

She's white, but we love her.

• 14:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah, but it's okay, we love her.

• 14:28Speaker 02

  White, but cool with it.

• 14:29Drew Afualo?

I love her in spite of that.

• 14:31Speaker 02

  There you go.

• 14:33Drew Afualo?

She made reservations at this really nice restaurant that wasn't too far from us, and we were like, oh, cool, how fun. So we like walk there, and we're like twenty minutes early to the reservation, cuz she's white, and she made us leave on time. And so then we get there on time, and then the guy at the door, first of all, there's bouncers. What fucking restaurant has bouncers?

• 14:51Speaker 02

You know what restaurant has bouncers? The Bostonova on Sunset.

• 14:54Drew Afualo?

That's, okay, but that kinda makes sense to me a little bit.

• 14:56Speaker 02

Someone was murdered outside the Bostonova.

• 14:59Drew Afualo?

  Then that makes sense.

• 15:00Speaker 02

  So, yeah, yeah. Valid, valid.

• 15:02Drew Afualo?

And they, they were the kind of bouncers that like had like a fucking blazer and no tie. You know what I'm saying? Like, like cool guy bouncer.

• 15:09Speaker 02

Like, like, like the, like the, the agents from, um, from, uh, from Lilo and Stitch.

• 15:13Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 15:14Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 15:15Drew Afualo?

Like, they're like section guys, you know what I'm saying? And there, there's like four of them outside. And then the guy looks at the group and goes, yeah, no, we don't have any room. Mind you, I can see inside the fucking restaurant, so I can see there are tables that are open. And Alex, God love her, she's so sweet and innocent looking that she gets pushed around pretty easily with stuff like this.

• 15:36Speaker 02

  The white woman?

• 15:36Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so she was like, ah, are you sure? Cause I made a reservation, like you don't even wanna look it up? And then he's like, no, I'm telling you right now, we don't have room. And he's speaking perfect English, mind you.

• 15:47Speaker 02

  He's from Jersey.

• 15:48Drew Afualo?

Yeah, for real. And so then like when I went up and I go, what do you mean? You're not taking reservations, why were we allowed to make one? And he goes, I don't know what to tell you. And then like this group of young white women come up who are Parisian, I can hear them speaking French, smoking cigarettes, all that. Come in, walk right inside.

• 16:07Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and they, and he's like, he's like, oh, what's up ladies? Like, welcome, like, as they, as they're walking in, I'm like, are you fucking kidding me? So then I took a picture of them and like the front of it. And I put it on my story and I put it on TikTok and I said, hey, fuck this restaurant, by the way. My thing started picking up speed. And then they started all of my, that's the one time I weaponized my fame for evil. And they literally started spamming all their comments, I didn't know you guys were fucking racist, blah, blah, blah, they blocked me. The restaurant.

• 16:37Speaker 02

  Twice.

• 16:38Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 16:38Speaker 02

  Damn, double homicide.

• 16:41Drew Afualo?

But I was like, it was so unpleasant and awful and I was like, are we in the nineteen fifties?

• 16:46Speaker 02

I don't like going to restaurants, I don't like going to do things.

• 16:49Drew Afualo?

  What's the point?

• 16:50Speaker 02

No one at home is gonna do that to me, no one in my home is gonna do that. I can walk in, no one stop me, "Hey, we don't have room for you, derky." I can just walk right in my home.

• 17:00Drew Afualo?

No one's gonna do that to me in my home.

• 17:02Speaker 02

So, yeah, I, I, I get it, I, I, I get it, I don't, I, you know what else kind of stresses me out? When my friends invite me to their show, and I will buy a ticket. I will buy a ticket. But if you're like, "No," and then you're like, you're on the list. The list stresses me out. Because if I get there and this straight security guard has no clue who I am, and he's looking up my 18 names, my drag name, my SAG name, my legal name, my, you know, what, faggot, all the names on the list, and he's like, "Oh, no, how do you spell it, how do you do this?" And I'm standing outside, and what's really embarrassing is when, I don't mind like having to like get, you find my name, but then when someone else walks up who knows who I am, and they're like, "Oh, my God, Bob the Drag Queen." And they're like, "Right this way, you're on the list, you know, Craig Stevens or whatever."

• 17:45Speaker 02

And I'm like, I'm standing outside trying to get my fucking name, because I also have three names, Bob the Drag Queen, this is four names, right? So, do they put Bob, is their first name Bob the, and the last name is Drag Queen? Is it Bob the Drag, last name is Queen? Is it Bob, first name The Drag Queen? Is it all smushed together? They never know, I'm always locked in there, and I'm like, I hate this. I just want to be able to walk in and like do my thing.

• 18:06Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I'd rather buy the ticket.

• 18:07Speaker 02

I would rather just buy the ticket.

• 18:08Drew Afualo?

It's actually not worth it, I'd rather buy the ticket.

• 18:09Speaker 02

And just show it and just walk in, like, I'll, I'll pay. I will fucking pay, I swear I'll pay.

• 18:14Drew Afualo?

Back to touring, when you were talking about never give them the mic in the, in the audience.

• 18:18Speaker 02

Yeah, you never let them have the mic, yeah.

• 18:20Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's, have, have you had any instances where you were like?

• 18:23Speaker 02

Okay, there's two, there's two things that I do. One is where they walk up to the mic and the mic is already there, so they, now they don't grab it, just like, you know, talking to the microphone. Um, and then, but sometime I'll, I'll do this with them, but I never let them hold the mic with that. I learned that from Wendy Williams, never let them hold the mic.

• 18:36Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 18:37Speaker 02

Never let them hold the mic. Um, but also, I am comfortable being like, "Turn off their mic." Just, I remember, "Turn off their mic." They're going on too long, turn off the mic, cut the microphone. Cutting off the microphone is such a powerful move.

• 18:49Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 18:49Speaker 02

Because the person is just reduced to like, what are you gonna do now? Start screaming? I can scream too, and my voice is amplified. I'm gonna win this one, you know?

• 18:57Drew Afualo?

  I have a microphone and you don't.

• 18:59Speaker 02

Yeah, I like to be amplified in good light with my voice being heard and the audience sitting in the shadows.

• 19:05Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 19:06Speaker 02

I feel like there's a thing when you're, especially as a comedian or anyone on stage, the audience is really just a bunch of subs. They're just a bunch of submissive little bitches who want to be told what to do. They want to be told when to laugh, they want to know where to look, they just, they, audiences naturally want to be, when I'm in the audience, I want to be submissive. I don't want to be in control of the room.

• 19:24Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 19:24Speaker 02

I want to be guided through this experience.

• 19:26Drew Afualo?

  Exactly.

• 19:26Speaker 02

So when you're onstage, especially as a comedian, you have to be dominant. Even if it's not you in real life, you have to be a dominant force. You have to guide the audience through this experience. And if you don't have the control, they start to feel uncomfortable and they will rise against you.

• 19:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's true. They stage a coup with the audience.

• 19:41Speaker 02

They will, under they rise up on you.

• 19:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, then you're in Les Mis, that's the plot of Les Mis.

• 19:45Speaker 02

  What a good musical.

• 19:46Drew Afualo?

I love that musical. When I was on, when I was on tour last year, like it, we started noticing this pattern where like, shows that are, which I'm sure you know too, like Friday, Saturdays. Like people are getting fucked up, so they're like excited and then they're a little more rowdy on those nights because they don't have to work, worry about work the next morning. And so like, the first show we had where we kind of had a little bit of like too much raucous laughter that was turning into talking was in Florida, right? Like my, our first Florida show. And so the show's going great, but then there's like two huge bars in the venue we're in. And so you can hear the bartenders going

• 20:29Drew Afualo?

like scooping ice and going, yeah, can I get two dirty martini? Like you can hear people doing that shit.

• 20:36Drew Afualo?

Blending a margarita and all that. It was funny because in the beginning, I, I, I would ask a question, I don't even remember what it was. The joke I would make is like, for, thank you all for coming out. And is there any plus ones in the audience? I would always say the plus ones, like have no idea who the fuck we are. I should have known this was a red herring because the bartender goes, right here. Like loud and I go, you work here, right? And he goes, yeah. I go, yeah, I wasn't talking to you. Anyone else who's actually bought a ticket for the fucking show? I should have known that that was gonna go left.

• 21:04Speaker 02

I'm like, give me a fucking drink. What the fuck are you doing?

• 21:08Drew Afualo?

Aren't you supposed to be serving those hundreds of people over there? So then, as the show goes on, people start getting more drunk. Like, when we do audience participation, like, we'll read the cards, read their stories, and then we kind of like make fun of them. I'll ask them questions, and then they'll answer them, whatever. As like my sister's like talking to one of the audience members about her story, there's people in the fucking back who are talking, laughing, like contributing to the story, like trying to get bits out, like whatever. And it's becoming distracting along with the bartenders.

• 21:39Drew Afualo?

And I want to apologize for that. I want to take this moment to apologize.

• 21:43Speaker 02

Me and my buddy, the bartender, we were having a long night.

• 21:46Drew Afualo?

And I remember at this point, I was, I was at my limit already, because I was already annoyed that the talking was happening and it was slowly getting louder. Then it was so unbearable, it was making people forget what they were saying, it was interrupting my sister, and I got pissed. So then I go, can you pause really quick? Who the fuck is talking? And that's exactly how I said it, right? That part's on me.

• 22:08Speaker 02

  That's on me.

• 22:09Drew Afualo?

I take that. I said that and I go, can you guys shut the fuck up? Because other people are talking and you're being really fucking rude. And other people paid to be here, so let's all like be conscious of that, yeah? And I said, sorry, go ahead. Right? When I tell you I lost that room so fast? And then it, it took me a while to get them to come back.

• 22:28Speaker 02

  You've lost control.

• 22:29Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, and then I did that, and then I scared them. So then no one's laughing anymore, because they're all like... And then I'm like, hey, that part's on me, I freaked out, but that part's on me.

• 22:39Speaker 02

You have to have prepared bits on how to deal with an audience member.

• 22:41Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 22:42Speaker 02

And for the most part, you know, I've been doing stand-up now for sixteen years, and, uh, for like eight years of it, it was in the gay bars, which is just loud, rowdy, drunk. Everyone in the audience thinks they're funnier than you, better than you, can wear your dress better than you. And I'm like, I mean, I was used to dealing with really raucous, raucous people. They were just wanting to argue, wanting to challenge me. So I have built some really good chops for dealing with hecklers. Um, but for the most part, my audience is, I, I, I've gotten pretty good at keeping control. And also when you like scold all your subs, when the dumb, you know, skulls her subs, you have to do it in a way that is in the, in the spirit of the show.

• 23:19Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 23:19Speaker 02

So it still has to be fun, it still has to be funny. Or else they're like, oh my god, you know... Mommy just yelled at us.

• 23:25Drew Afualo?

  Exactly.

• 23:26Speaker 02

  We're in trouble now.

• 23:27Drew Afualo?

And I learned that lesson the hard way. Lost the room.

• 23:30Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 23:30Drew Afualo?

My bad. Then I had to earn their trust back. Like, I was like, guys, don't be afraid of me. It's okay. You can laugh. And like, I eventually won the room back.

• 23:37Speaker 02

  Stop flinching.

• 23:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, don't run for me. It's fine. And I, I.

• 23:41Speaker 02

  Everyone have fun!

• 23:44Drew Afualo?

We're all having fun, right? We're all having fun. And the next day, like, we had another Florida show in a different city, and then it was same shit happening again. This time, I held it, handled it a lot better, didn't lose the room. I did have to quell that really quickly, but I did it before I got to a point where I couldn't control my anger. Sometimes it feels like a werewolf. You know what I mean? Like, I'm like, ah, ah.

• 24:07Speaker 02

  There's a she-wolf in the closet.

• 24:08Drew Afualo?

And then I feel like I'm like, run, before I like turn into a psycho.

• 24:11Speaker 02

No, I understand that for sure. I've got pretty good at keeping it pretty even-killed, and I think that the audience should have a healthy fear of the person on stage.

• 24:19Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 24:20Speaker 02

They need to be a little bit afraid of what would happen if they step out of line.

• 24:23Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, there's gotta be.

• 24:24Speaker 02

You do have to make an example of someone.

• 24:27Drew Afualo?

And I've done that. I did that too many times on tour, but that is also another one of those, like, cause I did get a question once. I think it was from a man, and he asked me something. Right, that felt like he want, was kinda trying to big time me a little bit.

• 24:43Speaker 02

  What is big timing mean?

• 24:45Drew Afualo?

Kind of like he was trying to flex or peacock around me, right? Like, he was trying to be like, so like, yeah, what's that about? And then I go, what do you mean? Like, are you asking me, like, why do I do that to people like you? I don't know. Did you hear what you just fucking asked me? That's probably why. And then everyone laughs. He goes, no, no, for sure. I just like, I meant like, actually, I meant, and he just changed his.

• 25:05Speaker 02

This is the kind of guy who asks for extra protein at Chipotle.

• 25:08Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 25:08Speaker 02

You know, like, can I get a, let me get the, uh, the K C, can I get extra protein? Cool, cool, cool. Like, very much that vibe. Very, very much that vibe. My craziest show recently was in Belfast.

• 25:19Drew Afualo?

  Ooh, too.

• 25:20Speaker 02

And this one had nothing to do with me. It was just during the show. And then, first of all, I had a wardrobe malfunction. My wig just started, like, there's this, like, post on my wig and I put the toppers on it. I had this, like, base where my hair's slicked up and I would just switch toppers out. And the post had broken, so my wig just fell off. I was like, oh shit, my wig fell off. So that was very embarrassing. I had to put my wig back on. And then I come back and I'm doing my stand-up and there is just a fight happening. And I was like, I was like, remember what's happening over there? But they weren't responding to me because they weren't responding to what I was saying. There was, I just, an argument had broken out between this lady and this guy. And they had come to, like, blows. They were like, they were like, like, people were being pulled apart.

• 26:00Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 26:01Speaker 02

And then the lady stumbled out into the lobby. She spilled her margarita into my merchandise. And then the crowd just kind of got crazy. I was like, you guys are insane. And then I asked them, I said, is this, it was a Wednesday.

• 26:17Speaker 02

I said, is this a typical Wednesday in Belfast? And the audience in unison all said, yes. Everyone, they're like, yeah, this is what we do on Wednesdays, bitch.

• 26:25Drew Afualo?

  Yes, yes.

• 26:26Speaker 02

Whenever I go out, I don't drink, so I don't go out much. But when I'm with someone who drinks, they'll, someone who wants to take you out, they're like, because let me tell you right now. It doesn't matter where you are, those go, because baby, let me tell you right now, in Belfast, we drink, honey. Uh, baby, let me tell you right now, in Phoenix, Arizona, we drink, honey. Baby, in Andalusia, Alabama, in Boot Scoot, Tennessee, we drink, honey. Every town thinks they drink more than everyone else.

• 26:49Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 26:50Speaker 02

But Belfast is, they're telling the truth.

• 26:53Drew Afualo?

  They're for real.

• 26:53Speaker 02

  They were dead ass.

• 26:54Drew Afualo?

You said, I can say with conviction, they do that.

• 26:56Speaker 02

They were, on a Wednesday night, turnt, going crazy. I think, I, we have to get out of here. This show is insane. I was genuinely afraid of the audience. I was like, I need to get out of here. I'm afraid of you all.

• 27:06Drew Afualo?

I started getting, like, towards the end of tour, I started getting a little petty. Because, like, if the shows, they would always go well, but like, if the audience was kind of, like, a little too rowdy, like, there was another show we had where it was a Friday and we had security, had to warn them, like, literally tell them, like, if you guys make noise one more time, you're gonna have to leave.

• 27:26Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 27:26Drew Afualo?

And it's because they had, like, a tabletop and they were like, I think what I hate more than just, like, Talking in the background because it's a live fucking show is people trying to tell jokes too.

• 27:37Speaker 02

  Oh, they want to contribute.

• 27:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like they're trying to like pull focus.

• 27:40Speaker 02

  It's their big break.

• 27:41Drew Afualo?

And I was like, that's tea because you bought a ticket to watch me and now you're talking a lot and that's crazy.

• 27:45Speaker 02

Well, they think it's a scene for me. They're like, this is gonna be the moment where like Drew hears me tell a joke. If she's gonna say, are you iconic? Drew's gonna invite me on stage. We're going to hold hands. We're going to sing Defying Gravity together. I will float into the sky and I will take over the podcast. That's what they think is gonna happen. They're like, this is my moment. This is truly my moment.

• 28:07Drew Afualo?

I think that too. And can I just say, because maybe you can relate to me on this. There was a point where like with Meet and Greetz, where there was a pattern happening where women who would come, who maybe weren't familiar with my other show with my sister or my sister, only came to see me, which I'm not like mad about it, but like they were always really rude to my sister in Meet and Greetz, which would piss me off. And then they were always dressed up really nice, like, which is not a bad thing, but they were wearing like, like fucking bandage dresses or some shit like that and heels and all that. And I'm like, okay, period, whatever. And the way they would talk to me would be like, I just like, oh god, you're so beautiful. I just like, I'm straight, but like,

• 28:49Drew Afualo?

I just like, I don't know, I just feel like if I was gonna be gay, like I would like you, which is homophobic to say, but they don't care about that. And they're telling me all this and I.

• 28:59Speaker 02

They're trying to hit on you, I think.

• 29:00Drew Afualo?

Okay, but like they're, they're straight women. Sometimes they'd bring their husbands, their boyfriends, whatever.

• 29:05Speaker 02

Baby, you've been invited to threesomes.

• 29:06Drew Afualo?

At one time, well, yeah, but one time I went backstage and I go, are these bitches shaving their pussy for me? Because you're starting to treat me like Justin Bieber and I don't like that.

• 29:13Speaker 02

Oh, they probably are. They're like, just in, just in case.

• 29:16Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, hey, hey, hey, you know what? Knock it off.

• 29:19Speaker 02

Just in case Drew sees my lips tonight, I want them to be clean.

• 29:22Drew Afualo?

Which like, it's always women who, who have to tell me thirty-five times, I'm straight, I'm straight, I'm totally straight, but like if I wasn't.

• 29:31Speaker 02

  They're not straight.

• 29:31Drew Afualo?

Bitch, I'm straight too. What, why are you telling me this?

• 29:34Speaker 02

Like, you know what it is? They, you have lesbian energy and I think part of it is how tall you are.

• 29:39Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, absolutely.

• 29:40Speaker 02

And they like, big lesbians clean up.

• 29:44Speaker 02

Baby, I'm gonna tell you right now.

• 29:46Drew Afualo?

I know there's, there's three right here currently.

• 29:48Speaker 02

Big lesbians clean the fuck up. Y'all all lesbians?

• 29:53Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 29:53Speaker 02

And big lesbians clean up, right? They're swimming.

• 29:56Drew Afualo?

  Tall's half the battle.

• 29:57Speaker 02

  Baby, they're swimming in puss.

• 29:58Drew Afualo?

  That's true.

• 29:59Speaker 02

It's crazy. If a woman can't get over six feet.

• 30:02Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 30:03Speaker 02

And you're in the, and you're in the lesbian community, you're about to, you're about to be knocking away with a baseball bat.

• 30:08Drew Afualo?

And like, women who, who came, who were lesbians and made sure to tell us, like, they were, they were fans of both of us and the, and the show that we had together and like, uh, or they were hitting on my sister. It was like one of those two. It's only straight women who are doing that to me, which is crazy.

• 30:24Speaker 02

They wanna be roughed up by a big lady.

• 30:25Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, you guys are, it, it's so, I'm like, don't, don't hold, put your hand across my stomach like we're prom dates.

• 30:33Speaker 02

Have you ever thought about roughing up anyone, like sexually?

• 30:36Drew Afualo?

Roughing them up, like, like as a Dom?

• 30:38Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 30:39Drew Afualo?

I've been asked that question more times than you could possibly imagine, but no, I haven't. Not personally.

• 30:44Speaker 02

  Never thought about it?

• 30:45Drew Afualo?

No, cuz that doesn't really appeal to me, if I'm being honest.

• 30:47Speaker 02

  That's valid and fair.

• 30:48Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, uh, when I, and also, and this is maybe just the sick and twisted part of my brain, that brings them joy and pleasure. I'm trying to do the opposite of that.

• 30:56Speaker 02

  Valid and fair. You're a masochist, or a sadist, I mean. You're a sadist.

• 31:01Drew Afualo?

But to some extent, they enjoy it, like sadism, like people.

• 31:04Speaker 02

Oh no, they, no, masochists enjoy it.

• 31:05Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they love it. I'm saying like, I wanna hurt your feelings. I don't wanna make you come. I wanna hurt your feelings.

• 31:10Speaker 02

I've roughed up some people. When I, I'm, when I dress up, I am a gigantic lady.

• 31:14Drew Afualo?

That is true. I've seen you as a gigantic lady.

• 31:16Speaker 02

  Huge.

• 31:17Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 31:17Speaker 02

And, uh, people like to be roughed up by a big lady. They really, they really like it. Honestly, I'm happy to oblige.

• 31:24Drew Afualo?

Did you ever watch that, what was the name of that bodybuilding documentary with the, the lady who was like? Yeah, it was something Sally, like.

• 31:32Speaker 02

Is she the one who like?

• 31:33Drew Afualo?

  She was a bodybuilder.

• 31:34Speaker 02

Did she like kill someone or did she got killed? What happened?

• 31:35Drew Afualo?

  She killed her husband.

• 31:36Speaker 02

  That's what it was.

• 31:37Drew Afualo?

But she got big. Well, she got big because she was making videos of her, like, wrestling dudes and, like, dudes were getting off on it. So that's like, it was like OnlyFans before OnlyFans.

• 31:47Speaker 02

Yeah, Nicole Bass used to do it too.

• 31:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and she was making videos of herself wrestling the fuck out of them. And obviously, she's jacked, like. She's yoked and on a bunch of roids and all that, so she's like, literally looks like a old timey like

• 32:00Speaker 02

  Trap queen.

• 32:01Drew Afualo?

  Gold's.

• 32:01Speaker 02

  Yeah, traps out here, yeah.

• 32:02Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so she was like wrestling dudes for money. And she was making, she was cleaning up, like she was making so much.

• 32:08Speaker 02

Oh, it makes sense. Yeah, that, that, I think that's what's happening. These, these, these women are projecting their sexual fantasies onto you.

• 32:13Drew Afualo?

I agree. That is also the reason I stopped doing Cameo, because I started getting requests like that.

• 32:19Speaker 02

  From ladies again?

• 32:20Drew Afualo?

Not from men, that are saying like, can you call me a dirty little boy and like say I'm worthless and blah, blah, blah. And like pretend to spit on me, some shit like that. I'll never forget, that's the last one I got, for thirty dollars? No.

• 32:31Speaker 02

  No, that's crazy.

• 32:32Drew Afualo?

Yeah, no, you're for thirty, I'm not even kidding, when I read that request, I went in my Cameo, turned it off. Haven't turned it on since.

• 32:39Speaker 02

For five thousand dollars an hour with a five hour minimum, and I'm only doing the first two hours.

• 32:44Drew Afualo?

  And it's on Zoom.

• 32:45Speaker 02

And it's on Zoom. And my camera's gonna be off.

• 32:51Speaker 02

I'm fully eating Taco Bell in bed, just like, you're like, you're such a dumb little fucking boy.

• 32:54Drew Afualo?

I have mac and cheese and I'm just going like this.

• 32:56Speaker 02

You're the worst little boy ever. How about this new burrito that you can rip in half?

• 33:02Drew Afualo?

  Ooh, okay. Like it's perforated?

• 33:04Speaker 02

I'm gonna say this. Yeah, cut low key. I'm gonna go ahead and say, it's clear to me, Taco Bell is just reselling the same thing over and over again.

• 33:12Drew Afualo?

And can I say, I'm gonna try it.

• 33:14Speaker 02

Every single time. Everything at Taco Bell tastes the same.

• 33:18Drew Afualo?

It's like the Dua Lipa of food.

• 33:20Speaker 02

  Truly.

• 33:21Drew Afualo?

Same song, I'm gonna blast it.

• 33:23Speaker 02

But because that thing tastes good, I'm going to keep eating it. It's so, I, uh, I just, that, they, they, they really figured something out of me.

• 33:32Drew Afualo?

They have, they have. And you know what? I hate when people are like, well, that's not real Mexican food. I know that.

• 33:37Speaker 02

We know, bitch, we've been there.

• 33:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I know, I know that sixteen year old white kid on Accutane is not serving me traditional Cantina food. I know that.

• 33:46Speaker 02

Baby, Mexicans like Mexican, like Taco Bell. Mexicans like Taco Bell, so I don't feel bad about it. I'm eating Taco Bell.

• 33:52Drew Afualo?

I know it's not traditional cuisine, that's not why I'm going there.

• 33:55Speaker 02

There's this great video of, uh, of, it's one of those like, what's, what's the one where they used to make the list?

• 34:00Drew Afualo?

  Oh, BuzzFeed.

• 34:01Speaker 02

BuzzFeed, it's like BuzzFeed, something like one of those like BuzzFeed videos. And it's like, uh, Chinese people trying Panda Express.

• 34:07Drew Afualo?

  I've seen that video.

• 34:08Speaker 02

Mexicans trying Taco Bell. Well, so interesting was all the young people like twenty five and under were like, oh, this is not authentic Chinese food. This is disgusting. I literally can't even chew this. Although people were like, it's not Chinese food, but this is delicious. They're like, this is, uh, man, I don't know.

• 34:24Drew Afualo?

We can allow, we can allow two things to be true at the same time.

• 34:26Speaker 02

I don't know what the fuck this is, but this is really fucking good.

• 34:29Drew Afualo?

This is not Chinese, but it is delicious.

• 34:31Speaker 02

Same with Taco Bell. All, all, all the young Mexicans were like, I could never eat this. This is so crazy. You need to try my, you need to try my grandma's. Like blah, blah, blah. And the grandma was like, this is amazing. This is fantastic. I gotta say.

• 34:44Drew Afualo?

I don't know what this is, but it's, it's good.

• 34:46Speaker 02

But I'm gonna have a nacho bel granae next time I come back. I know that much.

• 34:49Drew Afualo?

And I also know that you hate British food like I do.

• 34:52Speaker 02

  I hate it.

• 34:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, me too. And I, I, did you see that they were trying to fuck up Keith Lee recently?

• 34:57Speaker 02

Yeah, look, Keith Lee, Keith Lee, I think he might be untouchable.

• 35:01Drew Afualo?

I think so too. Like, he should be. He's not bothering anyone.

• 35:03Speaker 02

Always comes out smelling like roses, no matter how much shit you throw at him. He is a, he seems to rise above it every single fucking time.

• 35:09Drew Afualo?

And he's not bothering anyone. So I don't know why people, well, I do know why, because it's the nature of the internet, but like, I just think you should leave him the fuck alone. But also I saw people getting pissed and then I jumped in on it because I was like, I can't even tell you how many British people were mad at me when I was like making fun of their food when I went to London last year.

• 35:27Speaker 02

  The homemade brickle brickle.

• 35:29Drew Afualo?

Girl, the way they're like, well, you gotta have, you gotta have salty mashy peas on the side.

• 35:33Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 35:33Drew Afualo?

  I'll kill you.

• 35:34Speaker 02

  It's bad. It's bad food. It's bad.

• 35:36Drew Afualo?

And I was like, I didn't say I need a different kind of peas. I said, if you put them next to my french fries one more goddamn time, I'm gonna burn this country to the ground.

• 35:43Speaker 02

  There's peas in everything.

• 35:45Drew Afualo?

  And why?

• 35:46Speaker 02

  Everything has peas in it.

• 35:48Drew Afualo?

  Or next to it.

• 35:49Speaker 02

And you're not gonna sell me on beans on toast. I'm not eating it. I don't want to eat it. I don't want to put beans on my, and then you get there and I always go, well, you know, we have really amazing Indian food here. Well, baby, that's Indian food.

• 36:05Drew Afualo?

I know, I had it and it was delicious.

• 36:07Speaker 02

  Baby, that's made by Indians.

• 36:07Drew Afualo?

And it's not British. I could tell you that much.

• 36:09Speaker 02

That's made by Indians and immigrants came here and made this food.

• 36:12Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, and I, yeah, yeah.

• 36:14Speaker 02

They get so mad when you don't like their food. They get really mad.

• 36:17Drew Afualo?

And I started getting ones that were like, well, that's because you fucking Americans are so pumped full of preservatives. And I was like, and maybe you guys need some of that shit.

• 36:25Speaker 02

We are, and it's, and it's delicious.

• 36:27Drew Afualo?

  You're right.

• 36:28Speaker 02

One time I bought a pack of Doritos from America and I gave it to a Brit. They were like, oh. My god, have I been eating Tostitos this whole time? This is amazing. Yes, American food is full of preserves, 100%.

• 36:41Drew Afualo?

  You're right.

• 36:41Speaker 02

  It's delicious.

• 36:42Drew Afualo?

You're right, and it's good. Like, that's why I was like, maybe you guys need some of that shit.

• 36:46Speaker 02

And they're like, what about your, uh, how long, how long you guys live? Do you need to live that long? Sometimes I think to myself, like, how long do you want to do this?

• 36:54Drew Afualo?

Right. I know, I feel like immortality is a curse, more than anything.

• 36:59Speaker 02

You know, one of my, one of the biggest reasons why I got, why I got out of being religious is because like, the idea of eternal life,

• 37:06Speaker 02

  that's a curse.

• 37:07Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 37:08Speaker 02

I have to do some version of this for all, like, let's imagine, let's imagine that I die.

• 37:13Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 37:14Speaker 02

And I go to heaven, and I'm looking down at my nephew, and my, if I have kids, that's interesting. I'm looking at my kids, my nephew, I'm watching over them. Okay, they have kids. My grandkids, that's kind of interesting.

• 37:26Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 37:27Speaker 02

  They're kids. I don't know these niggas.

• 37:31Speaker 02

I don't want to watch, we're on season three, I don't want to watch anymore.

• 37:34Drew Afualo?

You said it's just kind of the same stuff over and over again.

• 37:37Speaker 02

You've gone off the rails. I don't want to watch you all. It was like, I know my, my grandma's watching down at me. Leave that woman alone!

• 37:48Drew Afualo?

  Let her rest.

• 37:48Speaker 02

Hasn't she done enough in her life? Now she's watching you?

• 37:54Speaker 02

It sounds horrible. I want to rest. I want to be done. I want to just, I want the, you know where the TV, I want that.

• 38:02Drew Afualo?

Do you want to be reincarnated at all?

• 38:04Speaker 02

  No.

• 38:04Drew Afualo?

  As anything?

• 38:05Speaker 02

You think the earth's getting better?

• 38:06Drew Afualo?

  Maybe go into another universe?

• 38:08Speaker 02

  Maybe.

• 38:09Drew Afualo?

Yeah, another universe would be cool.

• 38:10Speaker 02

You know what I've thought about before that really kind of scares me? What if, and this is a crazy if, there's, there's a couple of theories out there about other life form out there in the universe. And most scientists agree there is more than likely some life form somewhere in the world.

• 38:25Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, there has to be.

• 38:26Speaker 02

You know what the scariest notion is, though?

• 38:27Drew Afualo?

  What?

• 38:28Speaker 02

What if we are the most advanced?

• 38:31Speaker 02

There are no spaceships. No one's there yet. This is as far as civilization has gotten. Doesn't that stink?

• 38:39Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that bums me out, to be honest.

• 38:41Speaker 02

There's other words like they're, the one that I like more is like they are so advanced, they're looking at us like they were ants, basically. Why would you, why would you bother calling it advanced? Like, I'm not gonna fuck with them, they're disgusting, like.

• 38:49Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 38:50Speaker 02

That's more comforting than being like, this might be as far as humanity's gotten.

• 38:55Drew Afualo?

I agree with you on that, that is very real. I think it would be extra scary to think that this is as far as we've taken it.

• 39:02Speaker 02

And there's also another theory too, that some other planets and some other places, even if they're in the same galaxy, or if they're in, you know, galaxies nearby. It's just that their time at life was so long ago. The planet is just nothing now, and there's nothing even left on the planet, it's all just gone. They maybe had a whole thriving civilization for like billions of years.

• 39:19Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 39:20Speaker 02

And then there was like a eighty billion year gap. Everything is disintegrated, and then ours started, so it's just so long. And also, you know, when you, the space is crazy, space can make your head spin. Because, you know what I think about the other day? The sky, where's the sky? It's up there, but also, the sky is over there. Have you thought about that? And the sky is down there, because people in the bottoms of the earth, they're pointing in the opposite direction, and they're also pointing at the sky. The sky is there, it's there, it's up there, it's over there. That is cra- that's crazy to me.

• 39:52Drew Afualo?

Yeah, thinking about infinite things like that, that could like, like just loops that could never really stop like that. It freaks me out when I think about it too much, especially if I'm high.

• 40:02Speaker 02

Would you wanna go through a black hole? Not mine.

• 40:06Drew Afualo?

  I said, are you offering?

• 40:09Drew Afualo?

I may be down. I don't know, it depends on what's on the other side, I guess.

• 40:13Speaker 02

We don't know, so apparently when you go, so apparently when you go into a black hole, there's something called the event horizon, where you go beyond the point of no return. Like, once you reach the event horizon.

• 40:20Drew Afualo?

Oh, is that in Interstellar? Is that kind of what happens in Interstellar, when he like has to go into the black hole?

• 40:24Speaker 02

I've never seen Interstellar, but basically.

• 40:26Drew Afualo?

I've only seen parts of it.

• 40:27Speaker 02

So the event horizon, once you reach the event horizon, you cannot go back, because the black hole is just pulling in matter.

• 40:32Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 40:32Speaker 02

It's pulling in everything, not just, it's bringing, it's pulling in light. Nothing can escape the black hole, right? And if your body goes into, you go into the called spaghetti. Where your body is being pulled apart like strings, basically. And then it gets to a point where you are in the black hole and you are frozen. Time is being perceived completely differently for you because because there's so much mass and matter in the black hole. So the people are looking from the outside, it will look like you are completely frozen. But for you, time is moving completely slowly. You go through the black hole. If you go through the middle part, you'll end up on the other side, which is a white hole. And on the other side, there's allegedly an entire other universe on the other side.

• 41:09Drew Afualo?

Well, then that sounds kind of fun.

• 41:11Speaker 02

A little bit, if you can survive it, if you can survive it, that would be fucking awesome.

• 41:16Drew Afualo?

  I agree.

• 41:16Speaker 02

  What's over there?

• 41:19Drew Afualo?

  I'm trying to see.

• 41:19Speaker 02

And I hate that I'm never gonna know. It drives me crazy that I'm never gonna know what's over there. That's true. It's on Google. How close to the nearest black hole? We'll never reach it. We will never reach it.

• 41:30Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 41:30Speaker 02

That drives me crazy. I used to spend hours as a child trying to figure out, this is so crazy. Trying to figure out how to travel at the speed of light. I have this theory. If you can make a matter that's lighter than light.

• 41:42Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 41:43Speaker 02

Then the light can propel this thing into space and time. But then you have to put your body in it. How do you make your body lighter than light itself? Because I think light does actually weigh something. So the light can actually move the object and push it through space and time. But light weighs practically nothing. How far is it nears my goal?

• 42:40Drew Afualo?

  The Earth years.

• 42:43Speaker 02

I don't even know what a fucking Earth. Oh, the year, years you have on Earth.

• 42:46Drew Afualo?

  Year, I think, yeah.

• 42:47Speaker 02

So, so how many is that again?

• 42:48Drew Afualo?

  One thousand five hundred sixty.

• 42:50Speaker 02

That's so upsetting. That's so upsetting. I can't, I can't think about it too long or, or I'll go crazy.

• 42:56Drew Afualo?

Yeah, your, your whole explanation of traveling faster than the speed of light. You thinking about that as a child is kind of, kind of shocking to me.

• 43:03Speaker 02

I mean, if, if you knew me as a kid, it's, it's, it's very.

• 43:06Drew Afualo?

  Do you love space?

• 43:07Speaker 02

  I love space.

• 43:08Drew Afualo?

  I, I, I love that.

• 43:09Speaker 02

In another world, I would have been, and, and some sort of, uh, you know, scientist who dealt with space.

• 43:14Drew Afualo?

But instead, you're a bitch in a wig.

• 43:16Speaker 02

Instead, I'm just. A bitch with a lot of opinions who wears a wig and loves to scream.

• 43:20Drew Afualo?

No, but I love that you have such a, a love of space. I find space so fascinating, too.

• 43:25Speaker 02

It's so interesting, especially about how small and insignificant Earth is, even in our own solar system.

• 43:33Drew Afualo?

Yeah, because I feel like when you think about space in that regard and you think about how insignificant so many things are, there's a freedom in that.

• 43:40Speaker 02

  And there is actually.

• 43:41Drew Afualo?

Because it's like, and I feel like you live your life like that.

• 43:43Speaker 02

  Like it doesn't matter.

• 43:44Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I, I feel like you live your life that way and that's why you've been so successful and inspirational.

• 43:49Speaker 02

  I think that.

• 43:49Drew Afualo?

Because you live your life that way, like as if it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme. So I'm gonna do what I love and what makes me happy.

• 43:56Speaker 02

I remember standing in Manhattan and feeling so small because Manhattan felt so big.

• 44:01Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:01Speaker 02

And then realizing Manhattan's really small. Manhattan's about fourteen miles north to south.

• 44:05Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:06Speaker 02

And about five miles east to west.

• 44:07Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 44:08Speaker 02

That's it. And then I realized that Manhattan can fit into Long Island like over fifty times. I think it might be even closer, like Manhattan is so tiny.

• 44:15Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:15Speaker 02

And then Earth can fit into the sun like a thousand times over. And then there's suns that are like. We are so tiny.

• 44:26Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:26Speaker 02

  And so insignificant.

• 44:28Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 44:28Speaker 02

And we, that's why, when I used to wait tables and I would get in the weeds and I forgot to put someone's food. You ever been a waiter?

• 44:34Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's one of the worst jobs I've ever had.

• 44:36Speaker 02

When you forget to put someone's food in, the panic that sets into your, the panic that goes in your heart. I didn't put their food in. I didn't put their fucking food in. And then I remember thinking to myself, no one, I used to work in a place called the Jekyll and Hyde Club. It was, it was a themed restaurant, it was a haunted restaurant. And I remember thinking to myself, you know what? No one here is starving. No one's like, I am literally on the verge of death, Jekyll and Hyde Club. Gots to go to the Jekyll and Hyde.

• 44:59Drew Afualo?

And I bet, and that waiter better not have forgotten to put my food in.

• 45:01Speaker 02

So now I thought to myself, no one here is starving. No one here is dying. It doesn't matter. I forgot your food. It'll be fine.

• 45:06Drew Afualo?

  That's a beautiful thing.

• 45:07Speaker 02

  It'll be fine.

• 45:07Drew Afualo?

I wish, I feel like that's the absence of anxiety. I don't know if you have any.

• 45:11Speaker 02

But then I get a little too nihilistic sometimes. I'm like, nothing matters.

• 45:16Drew Afualo?

Yeah, there is a balance to it, isn't it?

• 45:18Speaker 02

I can do anything I want. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, reel it back, man. Reel it back. Reel it in.

• 45:22Drew Afualo?

  Little too much freedom.

• 45:23Speaker 02

  Yeah, a little much.

• 45:24Drew Afualo?

Do you have any other niche interests like that, like space?

• 45:27Speaker 02

I've always been a big fan of wrestling. I grew up watching WWF. So long ago, it was called the WWF. And I was upset.

• 45:35Drew Afualo?

  From space to the WWE.

• 45:36Speaker 02

Oh, my God. I can't believe that my mother didn't believe that they said I was autistic.

• 45:43Speaker 02

My mom was like, not my baby. They're over diagnosing. They're like, no, your son.

• 45:46Drew Afualo?

Meanwhile, you're calculating the weight of light in your room, so you can try and run faster than the speed of light.

• 45:52Speaker 02

  Literally.

• 45:52Drew Afualo?

And you have a fucking WWE championship belt on.

• 45:55Speaker 02

I wanted one. They're not buying me the belt. I had to make one myself. I made one myself out of tinfoil and cardboard. I wanted to be mankind.

• 46:02Drew Afualo?

  Oh, I love.

• 46:03Speaker 02

Or The Rock, or D-Lo Brown, or Farouk, or The Undertaker. So.

• 46:08Drew Afualo?

  That's so sweet.

• 46:09Speaker 02

I wanted it more than I wanted my next breath. So when I was a kid, I thought that my job was gonna be, I was gonna go to either be an announcer or a manager for the WWF.

• 46:16Drew Afualo?

Have you ever tried to do anything with the WWE?

• 46:18Speaker 02

No, well, Nikki Garcia, who's on my season of The Traitors, she's getting back into wrestling. She's did WrestleMania. And I was like, I should be her manager. I should be her fucking manager.

• 46:28Drew Afualo?

You should go and do like an announcing thing. They have people do stuff all the time for them.

• 46:31Speaker 02

I need to do it. If anyone's watching out there, Nikki Garcia, I'm begging, I'm literally begging at this point. I'm literally humbling myself because nothing matters. I can be humble now. It doesn't matter. I'm humbling myself. Just for, give me one week.

• 46:41Drew Afualo?

You know what's funny is a lot of someone people like love WWE. Like, my dad has been a WWE fan forever. I don't know what it is about that. I think we just, I think someone people find joy in it because you get to hurt people and it's funny.

• 46:56Speaker 02

  Probably.

• 46:57Drew Afualo?

It's Broadway. Yeah, it's literally Broadway.

• 47:00Speaker 02

It's some of the most remarkable storytelling in the history of time. Here's why. It is a. Play or a TV show that happens in real time. So when you watch, uh, I don't know, Severance.

• 47:13Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 47:13Speaker 02

Once the episode ends, next week the episode airs and it's only been five minutes for them.

• 47:19Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 47:19Speaker 02

But it's been a week for you. When you are on wrestling, when the show eh eh finishes airing, a week for you is a week for The Undertaker. He lived a whole week. You, you are living your lives in real time with these fictional characters at the same time. It's really, and this, it's just, it's so fantastical, it's so over the top, there's magic.

• 47:38Drew Afualo?

  It's drag, honestly.

• 47:40Speaker 02

And a lot of Samoans are, are, are, are, big in wrestling.

• 47:42Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, they are.

• 47:43Speaker 02

  Huge in wrestling.

• 47:44Drew Afualo?

They're huge in wrestling. The Usos, Rikishi.

• 47:46Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 47:47Drew Afualo?

  Uh, Roman Reigns.

• 47:48Speaker 02

The way I love Rikishi so much.

• 47:52Drew Afualo?

  I loved Rikishi.

• 47:53Speaker 02

  Uh.

• 47:54Drew Afualo?

He was like, he follows me on Instagram, shout out.

• 47:56Speaker 02

  Oh!

• 47:56Drew Afualo?

Love him. Um, and I, I had to explain to some of my other friends. I had to explain my friend about his like signature move when he like puts his big fat ass on people.

• 48:05Speaker 02

And rubs it in your face, yeah.

• 48:06Drew Afualo?

  And then rubs.

• 48:07Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 48:07Drew Afualo?

Or he jumps from the top rope and sits and then, and then rubs. Love it. That's a Sam joke through and through. Like, it's like, what if I just slam my big fat ass on them?

• 48:16Speaker 02

  His name is Sam?

• 48:17Drew Afualo?

No, a Sam is like someone.

• 48:18Speaker 02

  Oh, got it.

• 48:20Drew Afualo?

  I honestly don't know Rikishi's real name.

• 48:22Speaker 02

  Rikishi's name is Sam?

• 48:23Drew Afualo?

  I actually don't know Rikishi's real name.

• 48:24Speaker 02

  My name's Carl.

• 48:25Drew Afualo?

I will say Roman Reigns, I've been trying to get on my show for a while, been trying to get him.

• 48:29Speaker 02

Roman Reigns had a really rough go at things.

• 48:31Drew Afualo?

He did. If I'm being honest, like my fiance gets compared to Jason Momoa a lot, but I think he looks so much like Roman Reigns. Like, they look almost identical compared to Jason Momoa, but like, now when I see him, I'm like a little weirded out.

• 48:44Speaker 02

  So famous.

• 48:44Drew Afualo?

  What happened?

• 48:45Speaker 02

Jason Momoa is just so much more famous.

• 48:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then my, uh, fiance had the blonde in his hair for a little bit, so I think that kind of threw people off. But I was like, Roman Reigns is like a ledge. I've met John Cena, have you ever met John Cena?

• 48:55Speaker 02

I never met John Cena, but I met his ex-girlfriend, Nikki Garcia.

• 48:58Drew Afualo?

That's right, yeah. So I, like, John Cena I interviewed at the Argyle premiere that was like in London. That was when I went to London for the first time. And one of my fun questions I cleared through Universal and they were cool with, which I was glad, I was like, each of the characters I talked to, I asked like if one of the characters they're known for could beat. Argyle and like hand to hand fight.

• 49:17Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 49:18Drew Afualo?

Who would win? So I said WWE John Cena and Argyle, like, who do you think's winning? And he's like, well, Argyle has all those fucking tools. And then I was like, no, hand to hand, like, you're.

• 49:29Speaker 02

  Can't see him.

• 49:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's what I said. I said, what do you mean? I could barely see you when you first walked up. And then he literally was like, no tools at all. And I go, no, he goes, the invisible man, John Cena.

• 49:40Speaker 02

  You can't see him.

• 49:42Drew Afualo?

  You can't see me.

• 49:42Speaker 02

  It's so, listen.

• 49:43Drew Afualo?

  It's so fun.

• 49:44Speaker 02

I love wrestling. I just love it. It's just, I can go on for days about this.

• 49:49Drew Afualo?

  Did you watch Iron Claw?

• 49:51Speaker 02

  I did.

• 49:52Drew Afualo?

  Did you like it?

• 49:53Speaker 02

  I didn't.

• 49:54Drew Afualo?

  Why?

• 49:55Speaker 02

I gotta say, there are so many remarkable stories you can tell of wrestlers. And why that one? No shade.

• 50:02Drew Afualo?

  Cause it's tragic, I think.

• 50:04Speaker 02

I mean, it's like everyone's died. My brother died, my other brother died. And it's, it is sad. I wanna say, it is very, very sad. You could tell China's story. You could tell Mick Foley's stor- Mick Foley's story.

• 50:16Drew Afualo?

  Or even Ric Flair.

• 50:17Speaker 02

Ric Fl- do you know how crazy Mick Foley's story is? Do you know how crazy these stories are?

• 50:23Drew Afualo?

They are. There are so many WWE people have the craziest lore, like Trish Stratus.

• 50:28Speaker 02

  Trish Stratus.

• 50:29Drew Afualo?

Camp. I love it. It's so drag. And the only reason I brought up. Yeah, oh yeah, was because of Ric Flair. Because one of my favorite scenes in that movie is when, you know, they take the shit so seriously, the brothers. And then Ric Flair comes in and he's like, oh, man, that was fucking awesome.

• 50:47Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:47Drew Afualo?

And then he's like, you and me, a beer. And I was thinking, it's just never that serious to him. He's just there for a good time.

• 50:53Speaker 02

  I wanna.

• 50:53Drew Afualo?

  I love that.

• 50:54Speaker 02

Yeah, I wanna see Ric Flair's story.

• 50:55Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 50:56Speaker 02

When Ric Flair came in for just a moment. Okay, so, real tea is, I famously called Zac Efron, I mean Zac Efron a bad actor on TV. I did. He, I was with his brother on The Traitors and he goes, I grew up with an actor. And then on a, I just said, not a good one. I just threw that out there. I didn't really have any strong opinions about Zac Efron's acting.

• 51:18Drew Afualo?

You're all, I called him that on TV, to his brother.

• 51:20Speaker 02

Yeah, so I was like, not a good one. And then, then the Lord, uh, the Lord's like, oh, that's not nice. I was like, I know that's why I said it. Um, so I had this whole thing, and then everyone's taking me like, have you seen Iron Claw? Have you seen Iron Claw? Have you seen Iron Claw? And to be clear, I don't think Zac Efron was bad in Iron Claw.

• 51:34Drew Afualo?

  No, no, no.

• 51:35Speaker 02

I, I just didn't think it was a good movie.

• 51:37Drew Afualo?

As a lover of the WWF, you would, you would prefer to see another story.

• 51:42Speaker 02

I wanna see Mick Foley's story.

• 51:43Drew Afualo?

  That's cool.

• 51:44Speaker 02

Mick Foley has such an interesting story.

• 51:46Drew Afualo?

  Love that.

• 51:47Speaker 02

What an interesting journey. Mick Foley, uh, used to film himself doing these crazy hardcore stunts. And that's how he got on. He would like jump off his roof onto tables and break them and be like, cast me in the WWF. And they got so famous that they had to start sitting up and be like, hey, guys, do not film yourself. Jumping off of your roof, do not set yourself on fire, do not jump on barbed wire, we will not cast, we will not hire you.

• 52:12Drew Afualo?

  That's crazy.

• 52:12Speaker 02

We will not cast you. We did that one time. Mick Foley did a good job. We're done with that. We are, we are-

• 52:17Drew Afualo?

  That's close, alright?

• 52:18Speaker 02

Also, low key, bring back still chairs. Is that a bad take?

• 52:21Drew Afualo?

  I don't think so.

• 52:22Speaker 02

  Bring back still chairs.

• 52:23Drew Afualo?

It's all, it's all stage fighting at the end of the day.

• 52:27Speaker 02

I mean, there is, there is a lot of injury.

• 52:28Drew Afualo?

There is real fighting, but I'm saying like, they're like stuntmen.

• 52:30Speaker 02

Yeah, they are stuntmen, yeah, which is the same energy you can get as a stuntman.

• 52:33Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 52:34Speaker 02

But also stuntmen don't work like three, two shows a week for 20 years.

• 52:40Drew Afualo?

I've seen someone call WWE Broadway for stupid people, which like-

• 52:45Speaker 02

  I'll take it.

• 52:45Drew Afualo?

  That's kinda funny.

• 52:46Speaker 02

  I'll take it.

• 52:47Drew Afualo?

In terms of like costumes, character, pageantry, like all of that. I love how they stay in character even when they do, um-

• 52:55Speaker 02

  Other interviews.

• 52:56Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like press, before and after.

• 52:57Speaker 02

  It's so good.

• 52:58Drew Afualo?

I love it. Like they, they keep this fake beef alive and sometimes it's real, sometimes it's not.

• 53:03Speaker 02

Well, sometimes they have to push it. So Jerry Lawler famously slapped, um, what's the comedian? He did the, uh, Jim Carrey played him in the, in the film Man on the Moon, Man on the Moon. Andy Kaufman. So Jerry Lawler slapped the shit out of Andy Kaufman on live TV.

• 53:19Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 53:20Speaker 02

Cause Andy Kaufman kept being like, it's fake. And Andy Kaufman might have been in it, but he slapped the-

• 53:24Drew Afualo?

And it was for real a slap?

• 53:25Speaker 02

Oh, he slapped the taste out of his mouth. Like, he slapped this man on live TV on a late night show, cause he kept calling it fake. And then Jerry Lawler goes, oh, you wanna see how fake it is? And he just, he slapped him. There was another, another guy one time who choked out- Some interview, they really don't like me calling it fake. They don't, they don't care anymore.

• 53:44Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 53:44Speaker 02

Back in there, they really protected that it was, that it was staged. They really protected how fake it was. And one guy was like, "Oh, you, you wanna see how, how hard it is?" And then he was like, he was like, "Yeah, put me in a chokehold." Choked him out on live TV. The dedication, it's crazy.

• 53:58Drew Afualo?

Straight men are so imprisoned. They're imprisoned by their own toxic masculinity.

• 54:03Speaker 02

It's insane, and I watched it bated breath and choked.

• 54:09Drew Afualo?

And I was eating it up.

• 54:10Speaker 02

Oh, and they're also wearing these like slutty little outfits. They're so slutty.

• 54:14Drew Afualo?

  Tits out, sweaty.

• 54:16Speaker 02

  The men.

• 54:17Drew Afualo?

The men, I, I know. I'm talking about the men.

• 54:19Speaker 02

Yeah, thank you. I'm glad we're on the same page. Page 14?

• 54:21Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 54:22Speaker 02

So slutty. Oh, I got my rocks off. I'm not gonna lie to y'all, I got my rocks off, baby. Woo! Oh, I could talk about wrestling all day. I love it.

• 54:34Drew Afualo?

Well, there's, and there's a duo in the WWF still now, that's called the Usos, which are like, they're two brothers. And uso means brother and someone. And they're just two someone, but they're just like two little cannonballs. Like they just attack together and shit. And I'm like, I know so much about WWE solely because like, my culture just really loves that. They just have really latched on to WWE. And I'm like, whatever, whatever works for you guys. I don't care.

• 54:58Speaker 02

It's great. I'm gonna, I'm gonna get my way into WWE at some point. Nikki Garcia.

• 55:01Drew Afualo?

  What would your name be?

• 55:03Speaker 02

  Oh my god, I haven't even get, I, I wouldn't, I couldn't be a wrestler. Because have you, you, you've met wrestlers?

• 55:08Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 55:09Speaker 02

Y'all, what I tell you, these are the largest people you've ever seen in your life?

• 55:11Drew Afualo?

No, they're, they're jacked for real. Like, it's, it's all very real.

• 55:16Speaker 02

Shoulder to shoulder, up, down, hip to hip, front, these are massive. You've never met people this big in your life?

• 55:22Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like me and John Cena were around the same height. Like, he was a little bit taller than me, but he was big. Like, he was big dude. Like, he's like...

• 55:30Speaker 02

Humongous. I don't, I, there was, the tiniest wrestler was this guy named X-Pac. He was so tiny. Six foot two, 220 pounds.

• 55:39Speaker 02

They used to throw this man around the room. I mean Rey Mysterio is pretty small as well.

• 55:42Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 55:42Speaker 02

Uh, Christian was one of the small guys. Can you Google how tall Christian the wrestler? I, I love making people Google things.

• 55:49Drew Afualo?

  I love having onsite Googlers.

• 55:51Speaker 02

Oh, I love, I Google things myself all the time. Six one, that's, he was one of the tiny ones. They, he was, they were little man.

• 55:58Drew Afualo?

Even the women are really tall too. A lot of them are tall too. Which I, I think, I gotta see you there. I need you to be an announcer.

• 56:04Speaker 02

I, I, I think my goal right now is to be a manager, cause I wanna do the shit talking in the, in, um, in the camera.

• 56:09Drew Afualo?

  That's so fun though.

• 56:10Speaker 02

I wanna walk my wrestlers to the stage. I wanna shit talk for them. I wanna big up them. I wanna, I want, I want them to throw someone out of the ring and I wanna get a, a cheap shot in, throw in a little uppercut. You can body slam me. I can take a hit. Body slam me on something, honey.

• 56:23Drew Afualo?

I'm gonna manifest that for you.

• 56:24Speaker 02

  Please do.

• 56:25Drew Afualo?

I would love to manifest that for you.

• 56:27Speaker 02

You can come to one of my, my, my games. I'm so gay. Come to my, will you come to my play rehearsal?

• 56:34Drew Afualo?

  My audition?

• 56:35Speaker 02

Yeah, my audition. If, if I get, I, I really want you at, at, at one of the matches.

• 56:39Drew Afualo?

  I would love to come.

• 56:40Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 56:41Drew Afualo?

I, like, I would love to go in general, but especially if you're there.

• 56:44Speaker 02

I went to one wrestling match in real life. I went in Macon, Georgia, and I remember Kevin Nash standing near me. And Rakishi was there. Rakishi was there. And I remember thinking, I remember Kevin Nash kinda like walked near me and I, I, I was, I was looking vertically and thinking, I think to myself like, this might be the largest man I've ever seen in my life. And I saw Hulk Hogan, boo. I saw Hulk Hogan in a boo, sorry. I can't say his name without saying that. In a, uh, Delta Skyline's one, once, these men have ruined their bodies. He's crooked. He's built like a fucking, he's, he's drawn like a Tim Burton character. He's like sliding, leaning over. He's got like a very, I could've whooped his fucking ass.

• 57:24Speaker 02

Right there by the fucking pita chips.

• 57:25Drew Afualo?

  As you should.

• 57:26Speaker 02

  And I should've.

• 57:26Drew Afualo?

As you fucking should've. We should just go to a match together.

• 57:29Speaker 02

  Uh.

• 57:30Drew Afualo?

  Let's just go and watch.

• 57:31Speaker 02

Don't tip me. I want to go.

• 57:32Drew Afualo?

  We'll go and we'll cheer and we'll.

• 57:33Speaker 02

They probably do it in the Kia Forum or something.

• 57:35Drew Afualo?

  I bet.

• 57:35Speaker 02

But I haven't watched wrestling in so long that I don't know, like who's.

• 57:38Drew Afualo?

  All the new people.

• 57:39Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 57:40Drew Afualo?

No, we gotta go to like an OG one, like with all people that you recognize.

• 57:43Speaker 02

I'm gonna be cheering when the Undertaker comes. I'm gonna be the old man like, Undertaker, Tombstone.

• 57:47Drew Afualo?

  Back in my day.

• 57:48Speaker 02

Yeah, that's the Hulk Hogan stunner. Oh my god, this is-

• 57:52Drew Afualo?

Well, speaking of dreams or goals, right? Because that's a goal for you.

• 57:56Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 57:56Drew Afualo?

Today, we have a new segment-

• 57:58Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 57:58Drew Afualo?

  Sponsored by Netflix.

• 58:00Speaker 02

  Gang, gang.

• 58:00Drew Afualo?

Thank you, Netflix. There's a new Netflix movie coming out.

• 58:04Speaker 02

I have an idea for a subscription service.

• 58:05Drew Afualo?

  Oh, okay.

• 58:07Speaker 02

You give me fifty bucks a month. And at some point, I just pop out. I don't know where we're gonna be at. I tap in the nuts. It's called Netflix. I'm sorry. Continue.

• 58:20Drew Afualo?

Tap it, or you punch it?

• 58:21Speaker 02

No, like a A tap is, a tap can really debilitate you.

• 58:25Drew Afualo?

  Do, do more than enough.

• 58:26Speaker 02

  Just a-

• 58:26Drew Afualo?

  It delivers the message.

• 58:27Speaker 02

  Yeah, they can really-

• 58:29Drew Afualo?

That should be one that people subscribe to. Subscribe other people they dislike to.

• 58:33Speaker 02

  There it is.

• 58:34Drew Afualo?

That's why they're like, I need you to send a Netflix to this person.

• 58:37Speaker 02

I want to send one to Hulk Hogan. Oh, sorry, go ahead, you're saying Netflix.

• 58:42Drew Afualo?

So, there's a new Netflix movie coming out soon called The Life List. And it's about a young woman who is sent on a quest by her late mother to complete her teenage life list, which is like a bucket list.

• 58:52Speaker 02

Like her mom, like, is it something her mom said before she died?

• 58:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I think so. So, in the spirit of The Life List, we're gonna talk about our own bucket list.

• 58:59Speaker 02

  Gang, gang.

• 59:00Drew Afualo?

And I want to know what you used to have on your bucket list that you've already checked off, and what you still want to accomplish that you haven't crossed out yet. Obviously, we know WWE's on there.

• 59:08Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 59:09Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 59:09Speaker 02

Um, a stand-up comedy special, I've had two already.

• 59:12Drew Afualo?

  Love.

• 59:13Speaker 02

Um, Winning RuPaul's Drag Race. Done that. What I'm working toward is, I want to, I have a book coming out on March 25th. It's called Harriet Tubman Live in Concert.

• 59:24Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 59:25Speaker 02

Um, I would love to join the ranks of you and become a New York Times bestseller.

• 59:28Drew Afualo?

  I love that.

• 59:29Speaker 02

Uh, that would be really, really exciting for me. Um, I'm so proud of this book. It is one of the best things I've ever written in my life. Writing prose is so much different than writing, you know, jokes and poems and raps.

• 59:39Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 59:40Speaker 02

It, it took me, I, I don't know how long it took you to write your book, but it took me an embarrassingly long time. I don't want to, I, I don't, I want you to go first, because I don't want to embarrass you.

• 59:48Drew Afualo?

I think I wrote the whole thing in probably like, I would say like a year, like ten months. That's not bad.

• 59:55Speaker 02

It took me four years to write like two hundred and forty pages. That is a page like every ten days.

• 1:00:00Drew Afualo?

That sounds like, to me, that sounds like you care a lot about it, so you're taking time.

• 1:00:04Speaker 02

I did. And also, I was, I filmed three seasons of a TV show. I toured with Madonna. I recorded-

• 1:00:08Drew Afualo?

Oh, see, I didn't do any of that.

• 1:00:11Speaker 02

I recorded a standup comedy special. I went on the traders. I did a lot that time.

• 1:00:14Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you sure did, queen. So that's why I said, yeah, I didn't do any of that shit when I was writing mine. So that makes a lot more sense.

• 1:00:20Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:00:20Drew Afualo?

Cause you're a lot more famous and busy than me, but you're not better than me.

• 1:00:26Speaker 02

  Just different than you.

• 1:00:27Drew Afualo?

Just different. Different stage of life. Cause you're so much older.

• 1:00:30Speaker 02

I am a little bit. What did your leaks go? Not much. We can cook it up though, if you want to. We can cook it up.

• 1:00:37Drew Afualo?

  Forty-three. I'm forty-three.

• 1:00:38Speaker 02

  I'm forty-three to be exact.

• 1:00:42Drew Afualo?

Uh, so I, I love that. I think those are all wonderful. And also, wow, what a list you've already crossed off. That's fucking awesome.

• 1:00:47Speaker 02

And some stuff that I never, ever thought, to do a world tour with the queen of pop, I ne-

• 1:00:53Drew Afualo?

  It's crazy.

• 1:00:54Speaker 02

It wasn't even on the list. Wasn't even on the list. I was like, oh, wow, the list is updating itself. Google Maps is updated itself. This is crazy.

• 1:01:03Drew Afualo?

  And how was that?

• 1:01:04Speaker 02

It was really remarkable. I mean, I, I love Madonna. She's, to me, she's so funny. She's so camp. She's so iconic. And honestly, what I really love about working with her, she really respects me as an artist. Sometimes as a drag queen, people are like, come here and read me and host my brunch. I'm like, girl, if you think I'm at a point in my career where I'm hosting your fucking brunch, at, you know, Marie's Pickle Shack, you've lost your fucking mind. That's not, that's not where I'm in my career these days. But Madonna, like she didn't, I was, I was, even without having to advocate for it, I had roles in the show that were in drag, roles that were out of drag. I helped create the show. Like, I got to be there with Madonna, creating a forty-year retrospective on her iconic work. Like, what more could you ask for?

• 1:01:47Drew Afualo?

And seen as you are, which is an artist. You are an artist in so many ways. And that's, and you're right, cause like, a lot of times what people know you for, they tend to pigeonhole you. Like, even indirectly sometimes, they like- They kind of like, I know what you mean, like, why don't you come down here and read me?

• 1:02:02Speaker 02

Yeah, how often do you get that? Make fun of me?

• 1:02:04Drew Afualo?

All the time, but it's almost, it's more so just like, oh, speaking of books, right? The few reviews I've ever seen about my book that weren't, they weren't bad reviews, they were just like, um, I give this three stars, or I give this four stars, and then it's always white women. And the reviews sound almost exactly the same, which is, they say things like, I don't know, I just like, I already knew all this. And I also thought you were gonna like, teach me how to make fun of men. I thought you were gonna like, give me like, insult ideas. And I'm like, how the fuck would I put that in a book?

• 1:02:33Speaker 02

Hours and hours and hours of TikToks, just go study the fucking blueprint, bitch.

• 1:02:37Drew Afualo?

What the fuck? But it's literally like, it's white women telling, like, white, straight cis women telling me, I already knew all this. I doubt it. You're younger than me. You're 21, yeah? Okay.

• 1:02:46Speaker 02

You lying, you lying, I've never been so thin, as Nancy White said.

• 1:02:50Drew Afualo?

Your intersectionality is more advanced than mine? Okay. No, for sure.

• 1:02:54Speaker 02

You can't tell someone things that are everything.

• 1:02:56Drew Afualo?

I know, that's why I was like, they, and it always ends with, I thought you were gonna teach me how to make fun of men. I, I'm trying to teach you how to fucking rip them out of your brainstem. That's what I'm trying to teach you. I'm not trying to teach you how to, like, it's just like, if you just tell me how to like, tell them they have little dicks and stuff, I'm like, you can't do that on your own?

• 1:03:15Speaker 02

Just come and have little dicks.

• 1:03:15Drew Afualo?

You need that from me? But also, my idea of an insult to a man is not something like that, because I feel like that's really low hanging fruit. So it's like,

• 1:03:23Speaker 02

  It's not hanging out low.

• 1:03:24Drew Afualo?

It's right, not low enough for my taste, for a Netflix.

• 1:03:30Drew Afualo?

I feel like it's, it's one of those where I'm like, my idea of insulting them doesn't involve really lowbrow shit like that, because that's not funny to me. I was like, it, do you wanna make fun of them, or do you wanna live up here? Cause that's my, the difference between you and I.

• 1:03:45Speaker 02

I once did a roast tour with Jinx Monsoon.

• 1:03:48Drew Afualo?

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:03:48Speaker 02

And she's really, really interested in being very, very PC.

• 1:03:52Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:52Speaker 02

So she was like, at this roast, when you go to a roast, the point is like, the gloves are off, you say anything you know.

• 1:03:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, there's like, no limits.

• 1:03:58Speaker 02

We're all consenting to this. Everyone in the room who's watching is consenting, everyone who is, is getting roasted, we're all consenting to it. So it's like, it's fine, say the jokes you wanna say, I'm gonna say some jokes, jokes too.

• 1:04:06Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:04:06Speaker 02

But Jinx is like, I don't wanna, I don't, I don't wanna participate in that, so I'm just gonna, I, I'm not gonna do any jokes about anyone's physical appearance, or their race, or anything like that. So instead, what she thought was a better take was to do just deep, personal attacks on us as people. I was like, bitch, make fun of my makeup. The fuck is this?

• 1:04:25Drew Afualo?

  Well, damn.

• 1:04:26Speaker 02

She's like, well, no one likes you. You don't have any friends. People don't trust you. I was like, go back to the black jokes.

• 1:04:33Speaker 02

At least I've heard all of those already. That was crazy.

• 1:04:36Drew Afualo?

I'd rather be called a slur.

• 1:04:37Speaker 02

You're actually really hard to talk to. People don't trust you. Your friends don't feel comfortable around you.

• 1:04:45Drew Afualo?

You leave and have a couple of phone calls to make.

• 1:04:47Speaker 02

That's cra- that's cra- and the fact that she thought that would hurt less is crazy to me. That was insane.

• 1:04:56Drew Afualo?

You're fucking crazy. Okay, well, I think your bucket list is wonderful.

• 1:05:01Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 1:05:02Drew Afualo?

And on my bucket list, hmm, I, I really want to be cast in something as like, like, I want to be principal cast in something, whether it's a movie or a TV show. And I've been manifesting it.

• 1:05:15Speaker 02

  But not stage, though?

• 1:05:17Drew Afualo?

No, because I can't sing or anything.

• 1:05:19Speaker 02

Well, there's, there's plays where you don't have to act, like straight plays, yeah.

• 1:05:21Drew Afualo?

That's true. I could do, but then if there's no music, what's the fucking point?

• 1:05:26Speaker 02

Might as well go watch the Shakespeare.

• 1:05:29Speaker 02

No, I, I like straight theater, but yeah, I understand.

• 1:05:31Drew Afualo?

No, I, I do love it.

• 1:05:32Speaker 02

  Musicians are exciting.

• 1:05:33Drew Afualo?

  I know, I think it's just, I feel like a hater because I can't sing, so that's probably why.

• 1:05:38Speaker 02

Well, imagine my shock, I moved to New York City to become a, a famous Broadway actor. Imagine my shock when I got there to realize you gotta be able to sing and dance to be on Broadway. How dumb did I feel getting sent out of every call? They're like, bitch, you can't sing. I was like, oh, whoa, okay.

• 1:05:51Drew Afualo?

  I didn't realize that was a requirement.

• 1:05:53Speaker 02

Y'all didn't say that. You should have said that before I bought my fucking ticket to this town. That would have been nice to know when I was living in Columbus, Georgia, literally.

• 1:06:00Drew Afualo?

You should put it on the sign, then.

• 1:06:02Speaker 02

Well, I, I mean, I, I absolutely see that for you. You know, you gotta become friends with the casting director.

• 1:06:06Drew Afualo?

You know what? The more I've talked to acting, about acting with my friends in the business who have been in, been in things and acted in things, whatever, so many of them have told me, it's like, truly just like what they're into.

• 1:06:18Speaker 02

  Truly.

• 1:06:19Drew Afualo?

So like, one of my friends told me that she's been in the room with showrunners as like a writer and stuff, and she's, like, when they're casting, and they'll watch the first, like, 10 seconds of someone's self-tape or slate or whatever, and immediately they go, no, next, because it's not who they were picturing.

• 1:06:35Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:06:35Drew Afualo?

Which to me, honestly, I feel like gives, it gives me a lot of like freedom in it, because I'm like, oh, well, then it's just subjective.

• 1:06:41Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:06:41Drew Afualo?

It's not really a testament of skill.

• 1:06:43Speaker 02

When I moved to New York City, I remember auditioning for La La La La, um... Why am I can't remember any names today? The Audrey McDonald play that she did is written by Aaron's and Flaherty, Ragtime.

• 1:06:55Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:06:55Speaker 02

And they do this thing where before you give them your headshot, before you give them your resume, you all just stand in a line and they just go, no, no, yes, no, no, no, no, yes. And then they trim it down and then they look at your resume. They don't even look at your resume yet. Do you imagine how hurt I was when I showed up dressed like a fucker? Like, I was wearing the outfit. I was like, I'm gonna, they're gonna pick me. I had on a vest, I had on these, I looked like I was in fucking Ragtime, the musical. And they looked me in my beautiful 22-year-old brown eyes and said, no. And I had to walk onto the streets of New York City and take the train back to Queens. That sucked. I hated it. But it's true, they just decided upfront, you know, one of my biggest,

• 1:07:39Speaker 02

um, when I first moved to LA in 2020, I auditioned, I've actually never, this is an exclusive.

• 1:07:45Drew Afualo?

Before we get into that story, The Lifeless is starring Sophia Carson, Connie Britton, and Kyle Allen. And The Lifeless premieres only on Netflix, March 28th. Back to your story.

• 1:07:56Speaker 02

Gang, gang. So I moved to LA because, I moved for a boy, let's keep it a buck. I moved for a boy. We're not together anymore. He was so hot.

• 1:08:08Speaker 02

I would, I would, I would have done a lot for him, and I did do a lot for him. Um, and I moved all the way to LA. I told myself it was because I got a small starring role on Lucifer, which I did do. I got a role on Lucifer.

• 1:08:19Drew Afualo?

  Oh, fun.

• 1:08:19Speaker 02

And I was like, I'm moving for this. Baby, no one moves for a cameo. You don't move for, to be a day player. I was more than a day player, but I had, I had like two or three scenes. You don't move for that, you know what I mean?

• 1:08:30Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:08:30Speaker 02

But then I was like, I was here, I was doing the audition thing, I actually got cast in a show as a principal actor on Fox. I had never had, I was like, this is crazy for me. It was a show called, uh, it was a show about dancing and it was called... I can't remember the name of it. Maybe Fox show about dancing. It was a show, it was a, it was a scripted, I'm gonna, you're gonna Google. It was a show about creating a reality TV show about dancing.

• 1:09:01Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:09:01Speaker 02

The Big Leap. That was called, it was called The Big Leap. I was cast in The Big Leap. I got the offer. It was a beautiful offer and I had to say no.

• 1:09:11Drew Afualo?

  Why?

• 1:09:11Speaker 02

Because I was doing We're Here on HBO. It was, they were filming the pilot when I was filming one of our episodes.

• 1:09:17Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 1:09:18Speaker 02

I, and I, I was like, I cannot believe that I got cast in this show and I had to actually say no.

• 1:09:23Drew Afualo?

  Because of conflicting time schedules?

• 1:09:25Speaker 02

Yes, I was devastated. I have actually never said, then I went back and I watched, I didn't watch, I watched the first two episodes and I watched the trailer and the guy they have, who's apparently a really, really great actor, by the way. I want to tell you, he looks just like me. He dresses just like me.

• 1:09:42Drew Afualo?

  T.

• 1:09:43Speaker 02

I was like, this is crazy. And then he's probably out there scooping, he's probably out there still scooping up all the roles I can't find.

• 1:09:49Drew Afualo?

He's getting, girl, was there another guy in here before me?

• 1:09:51Speaker 02

Literally, that was the guy right here. Looking just like me.

• 1:09:54Drew Afualo?

  That looks just like me?

• 1:09:56Speaker 02

  Very handsome.

• 1:09:56Drew Afualo?

  That's T.

• 1:09:57Speaker 02

  Very handsome.

• 1:09:58Drew Afualo?

  Very handsome, body T.

• 1:09:59Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:09:59Drew Afualo?

  All of those things.

• 1:10:00Speaker 02

  For sure.

• 1:10:02Speaker 02

But no, but, but, but I, I, I see it for you. I mean, you.

• 1:10:05Drew Afualo?

Do you have any tips for me? As far as auditions go?

• 1:10:08Speaker 02

Well, I will say this. First of all, I know this sounds like crazy, but in the opening, when you slate, be yourself.

• 1:10:13Drew Afualo?

  Right, okay, I love that.

• 1:10:14Speaker 02

Don't try to neutralize yourself. Some people like, some people want to, want to neutralize themselves so they can fit into the character. But for some of us who are not famous for our acting, we're often being cast because of who we are.

• 1:10:27Drew Afualo?

  I know.

• 1:10:28Speaker 02

And then it's a bonus that we can act.

• 1:10:29Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:10:30Speaker 02

So they want to see that, that Drew Afualo, they want to see that.

• 1:10:33Drew Afualo?

  I love that.

• 1:10:33Speaker 02

That personality before you get into the acting scene.

• 1:10:36Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:10:36Speaker 02

Because more than likely, if you're being called in for a role, that character's probably just like you.

• 1:10:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I've had a few of those reads, haven't gotten one, but you know what? Hopefully one will stick. But I remember when, I was gonna ask you this too, because I've talked to a few of my friends about it who are auditioning for stuff, but like, one of the reads I did, it felt almost like, because I, I, they liked my tape, they liked my slate, they asked me to do a live read with like casting directors, whatever, and I was like, okay, cool. And so I go and I do the live read and. They asked me to just read three different scenes. There's not many lines. They told me I didn't have to memorize them. That I could just read them off the thing just to like act them as I, as if I would and it's all on Zoom. And I'm like, okay. And as I go through the first two, like they're, they're, they're laughing. I'm like cracking them up. And then the third one I do it and then she goes, can you do it again, but do it a little more?

• 1:11:26Drew Afualo?

Like in your face, right? And I go, okay, like, like confrontational. And she's like, no, no, more like, like if it were you and they said something and then you respond in like, your like sassy way. Like the way she was saying it, I was like,

• 1:11:45Speaker 02

  Can you do this?

• 1:11:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Can you tongue pop? That's why when she said it, I was like, you want to call me a slur and you can't.

• 1:11:54Speaker 02

You, you probably, you said that you probably got cast. That's what I was looking for. That's what I was looking for.

• 1:12:00Drew Afualo?

She said, that was a test and you passed.

• 1:12:01Speaker 02

  That's hilarious.

• 1:12:03Drew Afualo?

And then I, I called, I remember I called Caleb after, cause I knew I didn't get it. Cause I felt like that threw me off a little bit and I did do it the way they wanted and they laughed, but I, I kind of figured, cause they asked me for that note a couple more times and I was like, okay, you're looking for someone else. I feel like.

• 1:12:17Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:12:18Drew Afualo?

And I felt, and then I was like, did you guys even like my tape or did you just think maybe she'll be more urban when she's in person? And so I don't know, right? And I don't care, but I called Caleb.

• 1:12:28Speaker 02

It's okay to care. Cause you get to post something you want.

• 1:12:31Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And then it feels like, and then I was, I was telling him the reason why it bothers me is because I was like, is that why you picked me? Like, cause you thought like, I'm just like this, like, and another thing, which like, I don't even act like that.

• 1:12:44Speaker 02

That's not, that's, you don't give, that's not your vibe at all.

• 1:12:47Drew Afualo?

And that's what he told me. Like he was like, oh yeah. He goes, you know how many auditions I've done where they're like, can you do it a little more gay? Like he was like, they want to say that to me so bad, but they can't.

• 1:12:57Speaker 02

You say, yes, honey, miss God. Yes, mama tongue pop. Yes, diva down boots, diva down chaperone, Lady Gaga.

• 1:13:08Speaker 02

Look at that horse. Look at that horse. Look at that horse. I'm a sir.

• 1:13:13Drew Afualo?

They're like, I want you to be that level of gay. Like, it, that, he was like, that happens all the time. It happens to everyone. That's like marginalized.

• 1:13:21Speaker 02

They'll ask you to do it blacker. They'll ask you to do it gayer. They'll, they'll, I probably haven't asked you to do an accent yet.

• 1:13:26Drew Afualo?

  I know, I know.

• 1:13:27Speaker 02

  You know?

• 1:13:28Drew Afualo?

I know, and I, I, when I felt, heard it from him, and now I'm hearing it from you, it makes me feel a little bit better about it. But it did bother me, because I was like, because I, I remember the last time you were here, I told you, sometimes when lines are written for me, they feel like, almost like bad SNL impressions of me.

• 1:13:43Speaker 02

  No, for sure.

• 1:13:44Drew Afualo?

And I told you, when they imitate me, they're almost always imitating the wrong race. It's racist, and it's not against mine.

• 1:13:51Speaker 02

They're like, well, we're gonna have you play this Filipino woman.

• 1:13:54Drew Afualo?

That's why I'm like, and then I started thinking, I said, maybe my slate, maybe I should start lying in my slate about how tall I am.

• 1:14:00Speaker 02

I think you should honestly probably do, write your own thing.

• 1:14:04Drew Afualo?

That's honestly, at this point, that's what it's looking like.

• 1:14:06Speaker 02

Write your own thing, pitch it yourself, and that way you can write how you want to sound. And because of your level of celebrity, um, you, it's easy for you to get in the rooms, or at least, so, obviously you want to pitch to a production company, and the production will pitch to a network, you know what I mean? But if you can get a, a deal with a production company who believes in you, who believes in your project, and what, what it is you want to do, that way you're doing the roles you really want to do.

• 1:14:28Drew Afualo?

I know, and I, I've been thinking about that a lot lately, too, because I feel like, it's hard to, because I know, I've, I've told people before, when I've talked about going into acting, sometimes people online will be like, I fucking hate when TikTokers, like, I'm like, you guys have no idea what we've been wanting to do. A lot of us, like, a lot of us, this was just a vehicle.

• 1:14:46Speaker 02

Some of us ended up on TikTok.

• 1:14:47Drew Afualo?

No shit. It's like, and, and it's crazy to think otherwise, but, I've said before, the internet is such a tool for people who are marginalized that would never get in the room otherwise. Like, this is the only way to get people to pay attention to us. So, when I've talked about it in that vein, I've been like, the roles that I want to be ca, I want to be cast in roles that are not solely reliant on like, looks, which obviously they are, but I don't want them to be such a small box. Like, a lot of times, I'm like, I am a big bitch, I'm a tall bitch, like, I'm a round bitch, you know what I'm saying? Like, there's lots of things about me that stick out, so that's why I'm like, at this point, it seems like I'm gonna have to write my own shit. That being said, this is an exclusive for you. And then I'll just ask Amanda to like, blur some parts of it, but I am.

• 1:15:30Speaker 02

  At work.

• 1:15:30Drew Afualo?

I told my team, I go, this is me kind of getting in front, ahead of myself, but also not.

• 1:15:38Drew Afualo?

Then to have it made. Then I enact what I call my Lin-Manuel Miranda plan.

• 1:15:44Speaker 02

  Got it.

• 1:15:44Drew Afualo?

Where I cast myself in a principal role. I said, you can have it, but I'm Hamilton.

• 1:15:49Speaker 02

I mean, it makes me even Tyler Perry, I don't really love Tyler Perry's films.

• 1:15:53Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:15:54Speaker 02

But like, he's not getting cast in much other stuff besides his own stuff. I mean, granted, he's pretty, I don't think he'd accept roles if he's so fucking rich and wealthy.

• 1:16:01Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like at this point, yeah.

• 1:16:02Speaker 02

But even early on, he was just writing stuff for himself.

• 1:16:05Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:16:05Speaker 02

No one else was gonna fucking write the stuff.

• 1:16:07Drew Afualo?

Exactly. That's why I'm like, you know what? And then I was like, and part of me also, I want to gentrify other spaces where there's always tiny white girls in there.

• 1:16:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:16:15Drew Afualo?

Put me in there. Put my big ass in there. I want to be in there.

• 1:16:18Speaker 02

  I agree.

• 1:16:18Drew Afualo?

I will say, though, something that does kind of like, not freak me out about acting, but like, at certain points, I've been like, huh, is like doing any kind of romantic scenes with other men.

• 1:16:29Speaker 02

  Oh, really?

• 1:16:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, cuz I find most men abhorrent. So that's, that I

• 1:16:33Speaker 02

They have to act like they're not, though.

• 1:16:34Drew Afualo?

  Right, exactly.

• 1:16:35Speaker 02

The truth is I actually find romance quite cheesy. Like, I'm not a romantic, and I

• 1:16:42Drew Afualo?

In general, or like in film?

• 1:16:43Speaker 02

  In general.

• 1:16:43Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:16:44Speaker 02

I check out, and in film, I do not, I check out once the romance story happens. Like, if I'm here for Avengers, I want to see y'all fight aliens in space. I don't care that Chris Pratt is in love with this, with this green lady. I don't, I don't care. I'm not here for that part of the story.

• 1:16:59Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:17:00Speaker 02

I always check out, so I understand that. And I've never, have I ever had to play a romantic role? I mean, I've, I've been in roles where I've had partners.

• 1:17:07Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:17:08Speaker 02

But we weren't, it was not, we were like that, we were not like, we were already together.

• 1:17:11Drew Afualo?

Yeah, there was no like scenes at, cuz I think about that, and that gives me like, a tangible like anxiety. That's something I'm talking about in therapy, which is like, that men enraged me to a point where I feel like I'm a bad person. So that's something I'm working on. But one time, I was telling my, my cousin Adam, who does my hair and makeup, I was like telling him about that, I'm like, what if they want me to kiss someone? What if I have to do a sex scene? That's crazy. And I was like, I was talking about it as if it was gonna happen, and I was like panicking.

• 1:17:39Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:17:39Drew Afualo?

But this is me just theorizing.

• 1:17:41Speaker 02

  Yeah, you're future tripping.

• 1:17:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then he literally goes, okay, well, first of all, it's four in the morning, so relax. And he goes, second of all, you haven't been cast in anything, so I don't know what you're worrying about. And I said

• 1:17:51Speaker 02

Cross that bridge when it get, when it get there.

• 1:17:52Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and he said, and I said, right, right, right.

• 1:17:54Speaker 02

You're burning bridges before you cross them. You're burning bridges before you cross them.

• 1:17:57Drew Afualo?

  But I appreciate your advice.

• 1:17:59Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:17:59Drew Afualo?

And I, and I, I'm mourning the loss of the big leap with you.

• 1:18:02Speaker 02

It was a pretty big loss and I've had some other, I mean, I've been in other TV shows. Um, I was in, I think probably the biggest thing I did was probably Tales of the City.

• 1:18:10Drew Afualo?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:18:11Speaker 02

With, uh, with, uh, Laura Linney and Elliot Page and Olympia Dukakis, R.I.P.

• 1:18:17Drew Afualo?

  So cool.

• 1:18:17Speaker 02

  Olympia Dukakis, Fortune theme star.

• 1:18:19Drew Afualo?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:18:19Speaker 02

Uh, so that was, that was a pretty, a pretty big role for me.

• 1:18:22Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:18:23Speaker 02

For me, I mean, probably not for anyone else, but for me, it was, it was pretty massive.

• 1:18:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah, absolutely. Are you kidding? And then Traitors, obviously.

• 1:18:29Speaker 02

  The Traitors, yeah.

• 1:18:31Drew Afualo?

  Everybody loved you on Traitors.

• 1:18:32Speaker 02

  Thank you.

• 1:18:33Drew Afualo?

  How was your experience?

• 1:18:34Speaker 02

Tell, tell the Housewife fans that.

• 1:18:37Drew Afualo?

Their, their fanbases are, they are crazy.

• 1:18:40Speaker 02

It's very interesting because the Drag Race fanbase is also crazy, but they're brave.

• 1:18:44Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:18:44Speaker 02

Like, they'll, they'll yell at you.

• 1:18:46Drew Afualo?

  That's true.

• 1:18:46Speaker 02

They're yelling, but it'll be from their real account.

• 1:18:48Drew Afualo?

  That's true.

• 1:18:49Speaker 02

The Housewife fans are, they're cowards. They're yelling at you, but it's on like an account with, with like, of like Dorinda's bracelet. The, the profile picture is like Dorinda's hair flip or something, you know?

• 1:18:58Drew Afualo?

What the fuck are you talking?

• 1:18:59Speaker 02

My account's called Nini Leaks Wig.

• 1:19:03Speaker 02

So they can like troll you behind their account with like three characters, with like three followers, but like on the Drag Race fans? It is from their real account. It's like a picture of them wearing scrubs and. Being like, you're an ugly bitch and I hate you for sending my favorite home.

• 1:19:15Drew Afualo?

They comment that from their LinkedIn account?

• 1:19:17Speaker 02

Literally. Drag Race fans are unhinged. No fear, no fear, honey.

• 1:19:22Drew Afualo?

How was your experience filming Traitors?

• 1:19:24Speaker 02

  Full tea.

• 1:19:25Drew Afualo?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:19:25Speaker 02

Traitors was very stressful for me because it was a stressful time in my life. I had like the, I, 2024 was a rough year for everyone.

• 1:19:31Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:19:31Speaker 02

I had a really shit year. My house burned down in January. My mom died two weeks before Traitors. My mom's funeral was one week, was one week before Traitors and then I went and I did the Traitors. Like, and then, so my mom passed away. The next week, we had her funeral. The week after that, my nephew graduated high school, so I came with his graduation and then I left from my mom's house to go and do the Traitors.

• 1:19:49Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 1:19:50Speaker 02

  It was crazy.

• 1:19:51Drew Afualo?

I'm so sorry about your mom, by the way.

• 1:19:52Speaker 02

Thank you very much. Thank you. It was cra- it was a crazy time in my life, but I did get a little rest, but I got a little break from the chaos of my life and everything just like literally burning down and losing everything. I don't have anything from my childhood.

• 1:20:04Drew Afualo?

  Oh.

• 1:20:04Speaker 02

I have nothing to remember my mom by. Even her car burned down. All I have is her mom's cellphone. All, all I have is her fucking cellphone. So it was really hard for me to like go. Through that whole process, but I wasn't able to take a break from like the madness and thinking about that. I got to play this fun game and I played really, really hard. I played really hard. I played really fast. I, I believe if you're gonna do something, go in and go in and do it.

• 1:20:24Drew Afualo?

  Right, absolutely.

• 1:20:25Speaker 02

Have fun. I wasn't trying to hide in the castle in corners and like hide from people. I was like, I'm here to cause a scene. I'm here to create madness and I'm a fucking traitor. Oh, there will be chaos.

• 1:20:37Drew Afualo?

Well, that's why they picked you too. If you think about it, like they want big personalities that are gonna stir some shit up. That's what makes it fun.

• 1:20:44Speaker 02

  And I did.

• 1:20:44Drew Afualo?

And I, and you did, and did.

• 1:20:47Speaker 02

  Yeah. And did.

• 1:20:49Drew Afualo?

Can you tell me your favorite memory with your mom? I would love to know.

• 1:20:52Speaker 02

Oh, my God, I have so many. I think that my favorite memories were just coming home and seeing my mom. My mother was a, she had mobility issues. Uh, she's, my mother was disabled. So to the end of her life, uh, she would just like sit in her bed and I would just come home, walk to the front door and just sit in my mom's bed with her. I slept in the same bed as my mom every time I went home.

• 1:21:11Drew Afualo?

I love that. I do that too when I go home to my mom.

• 1:21:13Speaker 02

In the same bed. I was almost forty years old to be in bed with my mother.

• 1:21:17Drew Afualo?

That's a beautiful thing though. I love that.

• 1:21:19Speaker 02

We watched Judge, my mother, my mother had a crush on Judge Mathis, but we don't all have great taste. No kidding. His son is fine.

• 1:21:24Drew Afualo?

Judge Mathis is an OG in the daytime television.

• 1:21:28Speaker 02

Do you ever watch Judge Mathis?

• 1:21:29Drew Afualo?

Yes, I have watched Judge Mathis.

• 1:21:30Speaker 02

Everyone's doing crack. And you can be there for a parking ticket. Yeah, but you did a little crack, didn't you? Yeah, I know it was a little bit of crack.

• 1:21:41Drew Afualo?

  I would rather see.

• 1:21:42Speaker 02

Yeah, in college. Yeah, I knew you did crack. I can always smell a crack. Like everyone's not doing crack, Judge Mathis. Jesus Christ. I'm here for a, this is a divorce hearing.

• 1:21:53Drew Afualo?

This is a, this is a stolen car case, but okay.

• 1:21:56Speaker 02

Did you see how obsessed I am with people laughing? I'm like, are they laughing?

• 1:22:02Drew Afualo?

I would rather see Judge Mathis on the Supreme Court. He should go on the Supreme Court.

• 1:22:05Speaker 02

Judge Mathis would be pretty good up there.

• 1:22:07Drew Afualo?

  I think he'd do a good job.

• 1:22:08Speaker 02

I think Judge Judy might be a Republican.

• 1:22:11Drew Afualo?

  I hope not.

• 1:22:12Speaker 02

I think she might be a Republican.

• 1:22:13Drew Afualo?

I wouldn't be surprised, but like I wouldn't be shocked to hear that, but it would be a bummer.

• 1:22:18Speaker 02

I'm also really glad that Joan Rivers is dead. I said this the other day. I'm so glad she's dead because we would have turned on her. She would have been, she would have been problematic. She was, she was a great problem. I would have turned on her.

• 1:22:28Drew Afualo?

Yeah, kinda like a Roseanne thing.

• 1:22:30Speaker 02

Oh, yeah. Yeah, we would, we would have had to feed her to the wolves.

• 1:22:35Drew Afualo?

  It would have killed.

• 1:22:36Speaker 02

  One hundred percent.

• 1:22:36Drew Afualo?

It would have been that meme of Wesley Snipes when he's crying and he's holding up the gun.

• 1:22:40Speaker 02

  Literally.

• 1:22:41Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:22:41Speaker 02

Literally. I'm glad that we, we, it ended when it ended because we would have had to turn on her and that would have been tough for me.

• 1:22:47Drew Afualo?

It would have been tough for me.

• 1:22:48Speaker 02

  That would have been tough.

• 1:22:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, because I know, I know you, your Joan Rivers impression, I remember.

• 1:22:52Speaker 02

Oh, Melissa. My, again, my impression is Mario Cantone impersonating Joan Rivers at the roast of Joan Rivers. It's not even a good, and his wasn't even good, so mine is really bad.

• 1:23:01Drew Afualo?

A real Russian doll of an impersonation.

• 1:23:03Speaker 02

Yeah, very. I do so many bad impersonations, so many bad impersonations.

• 1:23:07Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I don't, yeah, I don't do impersonations, I don't think.

• 1:23:11Speaker 02

Mine are terrible. How many have I done for you?

• 1:23:13Drew Afualo?

You've only ever done Joan Rivers for me.

• 1:23:15Speaker 02

Okay, here are a few of my impersonations.

• 1:23:18Speaker 02

And they're really bad. I only do one good impersonation.

• 1:23:21Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:23:22Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 1:23:29Speaker 03

Welcome to 215 Maple Drive. We just put this property on the market.

• 1:23:35Speaker 04

  Love the crown molding.

• 1:23:36Speaker 03

Oh, wait until you see the walk-in closets and the bathroom tile.

• 1:23:40Speaker 04

Does it have Verizon FiOS? You know, 100% fiber internet?

• 1:23:44Speaker 03

No FiOS, but it looks like it's got cable. Let's check out the kitchen.

• 1:23:47Speaker 04

No FiOS? Yeah, no thank you.

• 1:23:51Speaker 03

Don't you want to see the rest? Okay, bye-bye.

• 1:23:53Speaker 05

Get Verizon FiOS because when you're moving, it's 100% or nothing.

• 1:23:58Speaker 00

• 1:24:31Speaker 02

  America.

• 1:24:34Speaker 02

We have a presidential candidate, okay? Who is trying his best to dominate our nation, okay? Who's that? That's Kamala Harris. Was it bad? Yes. Was it recognizable to one person in the room?

• 1:24:53Speaker 02

  Here's another one I have.

• 1:24:55Speaker 02

We have a huge problem in the United States of America when 98% of the wealth is going to 2% of the population.

• 1:25:05Speaker 02

That's Bernie Sanders. I have one person who sees me for who I truly am here.

• 1:25:09Drew Afualo?

  Are they all political candidates?

• 1:25:11Speaker 02

They're usually political figures. Oh, they're different too. Every time I come down here, I see white people acting crazy. That's Chris Rock. You needed one of us, our nation. Appreciate that one. Thank you. These young motherfuckers on those shit.

• 1:25:27Speaker 02

  And then my final one.

• 1:25:30Speaker 02

  America. See, immediately.

• 1:25:33Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, that one's Barack Obama.

• 1:25:35Speaker 02

This last week, I was talking to Michelle. She told me, she said, "Bury." Nigga, act right.

• 1:25:45Speaker 02

  That was pretty good.

• 1:25:45Drew Afualo?

So, political candidates and Chris Rock.

• 1:25:47Speaker 02

  Political candidates and Chris Rock.

• 1:25:49Drew Afualo?

  And John Rivers, obviously.

• 1:25:50Speaker 02

Like, politicians always have these weird fucking voices.

• 1:25:52Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they have cadence, so that's like very easy to mimic, I feel like, in a lot of ways.

• 1:25:56Speaker 02

Yeah, they all have really interesting voices. Most not all, but most of them, like.

• 1:25:59Drew Afualo?

  That's true.

• 1:25:59Speaker 02

Like, Hillary Clinton didn't have a very interesting voice, though.

• 1:26:02Drew Afualo?

  Nah.

• 1:26:03Speaker 02

But Kamala Harris, I would recognize that voice anywhere.

• 1:26:05Drew Afualo?

That's true. And Barack Obama, too.

• 1:26:07Speaker 02

  Barack Obama.

• 1:26:07Drew Afualo?

  He has a very significant.

• 1:26:08Speaker 02

What's the guy with the crazy voice? I know he has a thing. But the health guy?

• 1:26:13Drew Afualo?

  RFK?

• 1:26:14Speaker 02

  RFK?

• 1:26:14Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:26:15Speaker 02

Donald Trump? Mitch McConnell? I would have recognized his voices literally anywhere in the world. I'd be like, that's fucking.

• 1:26:21Drew Afualo?

  Three horsemen of the apocalypse.

• 1:26:22Speaker 02

That's Mitch McConnell talking right now.

• 1:26:24Drew Afualo?

  Unfortunately, yeah.

• 1:26:25Speaker 02

  Mitch McConnell.

• 1:26:29Speaker 02

I mean, I can't do my Mitch McConnell. It's quite ableist, my Mitch McConnell impersonation. It is very ableist. I'm gonna, I'm gonna just keep it a buck. Is ageist, is ableist, it's a really problematic.

• 1:26:42Drew Afualo?

So I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead.

• 1:26:43Speaker 02

I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. I wish you would quit.

• 1:26:45Drew Afualo?

I do wanna say, I do wanna say, when we were on After Midnight together, I just remembered this. The, one of the producers was telling us when we were walking through rehearsal, and then you went, "Gang, gang."

• 1:26:56Speaker 02

  Gang, gang.

• 1:26:57Drew Afualo?

And then she goes, "Hmm?" And then you said, you repeated yourself, you said, "Gang, gang," and she goes, "I don't, I don't under," and then you're all, "It means okay, I shouldn't have said it, no worries."

• 1:27:07Speaker 02

Yeah, it means, it means copy. Gang, gang.

• 1:27:10Drew Afualo?

That's what that means, don't worry about it, I wish I didn't say it.

• 1:27:14Speaker 02

And then I think we tried to get her to say it, she's like, "I don't think I should be saying gang."

• 1:27:19Speaker 02

I probably shouldn't be saying gang, gang. Gang, gang, no, I'm gonna pass on that, thank you so much, though. She said, "We're gonna place your card here," she was like sweating, top lip sweating.

• 1:27:31Drew Afualo?

  That was fun.

• 1:27:31Speaker 02

  Gang, gang.

• 1:27:32Drew Afualo?

That was fun that we did that together.

• 1:27:33Speaker 02

And I'm glad that we did it together.

• 1:27:34Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 1:27:35Speaker 02

And the lady with us, Teppi?

• 1:27:37Drew Afualo?

  Yes, Teppi.

• 1:27:38Speaker 02

Teppi, I just found her the other day, she's pretty cool.

• 1:27:40Drew Afualo?

She told me, cuz when she texts me about it, cuz she's one of my like sisters, when she texts me about it, I was like, "Oh my god, I'm so excited," and I said, "Have you ever met Bob?" And then she goes, she goes, "I have, but I don't think he remembers me, and honestly, I hope he doesn't, cuz I think I was fucked up."

• 1:27:56Speaker 02

Harry Daniels goes to people, he like, he-

• 1:27:58Drew Afualo?

Oh, when you got his ass, that's a fucking wicked-

• 1:28:00Speaker 02

Harry Daniels has these hostage situations where he, where he corners you and sings a song to you. And I was like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna sing Fuck the Police to Harry Daniels, I cannot wait to go up to Harry Daniels, I'm gonna interrupt this conversation, I don't care who he's talking, I don't care if he's talking to fucking Cynthia Revo, I'm interrupting the conversation, as soon, I'm gonna interrupt the conversation, I handed my boyfriend the phone, I was like, "I'm gonna go sing Fuck the Police to Harry Daniels," and she's in the background of the video.

• 1:28:30Speaker 02

How does he get into these places?

• 1:28:32Drew Afualo?

  Oh, fuck if I know.

• 1:28:33Speaker 02

He's saying to the President of the United States of America.

• 1:28:39Drew Afualo?

I actually do have some fun facts about you, though.

• 1:28:41Speaker 02

Okay, ready. And I'll say true or false.

• 1:28:43Drew Afualo?

Okay. It says you go by the stage name Caldwell T.

• 1:28:48Speaker 02

  TDQ.

• 1:28:49Drew Afualo?

  TDQ for acting roles.

• 1:28:50Speaker 02

Yeah, which is just TDQ, the drag queen.

• 1:28:53Drew Afualo?

  Oh, T.

• 1:28:54Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:28:55Drew Afualo?

Is that, oh, so it's like a?

• 1:28:56Speaker 02

  Just spelled out.

• 1:28:57Drew Afualo?

Right, right, an anagram, if you will, okay. It says Bob once got arrested in drag for blocking traffic while protesting for queer rights.

• 1:29:05Speaker 02

That is true. I got arrested, I want to say, oh my god, 2010?

• 1:29:08Drew Afualo?

  Okay, T.

• 1:29:09Speaker 02

Yeah, at Bryant Park. And fun fact about that, when I was, I got arrested, because I didn't know how long I'd be in jail, because it could have been for the whole weekend. So I was like, I need to pack snacks. But I can't bring a bag. So I had, and I kid you not, a bagel under my wig. My tits were made of cashews. And I had a clipboard under each one of my hip pads. That is a true fact.

• 1:29:31Drew Afualo?

He said, I keep that motherfucking thang on me.

• 1:29:33Speaker 02

Exactly, I keep that thang on me, yeah.

• 1:29:36Drew Afualo?

  It says Bob-

• 1:29:37Speaker 02

Looking for the broccoli, high key, keep a horn on me, that Kamasi.

• 1:29:41Drew Afualo?

It says Bob used to work as a real estate agent.

• 1:29:44Speaker 02

Yeah, I was a, I was a licensed, well, I was a licensed realis- a real estate salesperson. You have to work a little longer to be an agent.

• 1:29:50Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:29:51Speaker 02

But yeah, in New York City, I specialized in rentals, and I was mostly renting to like drag queens and cabaret performers and strippers, who I knew through the nightlife scene, yeah.

• 1:29:59Drew Afualo?

  That's so sick.

• 1:30:00Speaker 02

  That is true.

• 1:30:01Drew Afualo?

I love that. Look at you giving back. It says Bob's first major stage production was playing Belize in Angels in America at the Berklee Rep.

• 1:30:09Speaker 02

Yeah, so I went to school for acting. I didn't graduate college. I dropped out after three years to move to New York City to become a star. And then I-

• 1:30:15Drew Afualo?

  Thank god it worked out.

• 1:30:16Speaker 02

Thank god it worked. Woo! And then I basically took like a-

• 1:30:24Speaker 02

Ten year break from actual, I started focusing on stand up comedy.

• 1:30:27Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:30:28Speaker 02

I, I, I know that my calling is gonna be stand up comedy. Like, I'm just a, I'm a really funny person. I'm really good at writing jokes. And then, uh, Tony Kushner, who is the Pulitzer Prize, I believe, Oscar award winning, uh, Tony award winning author who wrote Angels in America. He wrote the movie Lincoln. He wrote Carolina Change.

• 1:30:42Drew Afualo?

  Wow.

• 1:30:42Speaker 02

He wrote the movie, uh, The New West Side Story.

• 1:30:45Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 1:30:45Speaker 02

He writes, he, he's that guy. He's that girl.

• 1:30:48Drew Afualo?

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:30:48Speaker 02

Uh, he like reached out and was like, I feel like you are a good actor. I just saw you in Drag Race. I just feel like in my heart, like you're a good actor. Would you audition for Angels in America? So my return to acting was doing eight shows a week, which by the way, I'm gonna go ahead and say that's an inhumane schedule.

• 1:31:04Drew Afualo?

I agree. When I see the Broadway schedule that some girls do on TikTok, I'm like, that is nuts.

• 1:31:10Speaker 02

Eight shows, eight shows in six days.

• 1:31:12Drew Afualo?

  That's crazy.

• 1:31:12Speaker 02

They get one day off a week and it's a Monday. What the fuck am I gonna do on a fucking Monday?

• 1:31:18Drew Afualo?

  In my prime?

• 1:31:19Speaker 02

Yeah, literally. Uh, so, so I, I returned to do Angels in America at the Berkeley Rep and, uh, Angels is a, is two plays. Each one's about three and a half hours.

• 1:31:29Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 1:31:30Speaker 02

And I was with heavy hitters, Steven Spinella, Tony Award winner, you Steven Spinella, uh, Randy Harrison, like Danny Faradanny, like some massive brilliant actors.

• 1:31:39Drew Afualo?

  That's crazy.

• 1:31:41Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:31:41Drew Afualo?

I'm looking at you. You said slight work.

• 1:31:43Speaker 02

I'm a pretty good actor. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a pretty good actor.

• 1:31:45Drew Afualo?

  You are. I believe you.

• 1:31:46Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:31:46Drew Afualo?

You're an artist through and through. Okay, this last one says, Bob used to have YouTube vlog series called Bobbing Around. And the tagline was, I film it on the phone. I edit it on the phone. It's not that serious.

• 1:31:59Speaker 02

Yeah, I would, I would, uh, whenever I would go on a, uh, go on a gig, I would just film myself on my phone doing ridiculous stuff. Or just, it was, it wasn't even, it was just like, just doing the stuff I do. Meeting people, meeting the queens where I'm going at. You know, on the plane with my assistant, Luis at the time, and I would edit it, I would edit on the plane. I like, I would like literally sit on the plane, edit it. But then I kind of started doing it because like, My phone just, it ran out of space. Like, I couldn't even like, have you ever had your phone be so full you couldn't even send a text?

• 1:32:26Drew Afualo?

No, but speaking of your phone-

• 1:32:27Speaker 02

You've had that happen? It stresses you. You can't even send a text.

• 1:32:31Drew Afualo?

Speaking of your phone, I need everyone to know that Bob has an Android.

• 1:32:35Speaker 02

  I have a Google Pixel.

• 1:32:37Drew Afualo?

Whenever Bob texts me, it's green bubbles and it is crazy.

• 1:32:41Speaker 02

Green bubbles. Not everyone can afford an iPhone.

• 1:32:44Drew Afualo?

Oh, sorry, season fucking two of Traitors. My bad.

• 1:32:47Speaker 02

  Season three, how dare you.

• 1:32:50Drew Afualo?

I'm like, I've never watched it, so I don't know.

• 1:32:51Speaker 02

No, but I really love, I mean, the Google Pixel is just, I, I, I'm not caving for Google, but it is a, is a fucking good phone. And I just got used to using, uh, Androids for so long. And I actually do have, can you, can someone bring my bag into the room? I'm gonna show you, I'm gonna show you something that I don't, I'm gonna show you something I don't tell a lot of people. Thank you, my dear.

• 1:33:11Drew Afualo?

I believe it's in the Gucci fanny pack on the chair.

• 1:33:13Speaker 02

So this is my Google Pixel, but the truth is, Drew?

• 1:33:18Speaker 02

  I have an iPhone.

• 1:33:18Drew Afualo?

  Wow.

• 1:33:19Speaker 02

  I just don't use it.

• 1:33:22Speaker 02

I have an iPhone, I just don't text anyone.

• 1:33:24Drew Afualo?

Cut back to when he said, not everyone can afford iPhones, Drew. He has two phones.

• 1:33:28Speaker 02

  I wasn't talking about me.

• 1:33:30Drew Afualo?

Alexa, play Two Phones by Kevin Gates.

• 1:33:31Speaker 02

Exactly. I do have an iPhone, I use it for certain stuff, cause like, uh, the Google, uh, Pixel camera is really like, over the top in advance. And when you try to film in TikTok, it, the, the quality is decompressed so badly, so I use my iPhone.

• 1:33:46Drew Afualo?

Right, when, when quality's higher, it uploads in terrible quality, typically.

• 1:33:51Speaker 02

It, it actually really does. It actually, not uploads, when you film it from the app. The app itself is not capable of handling the, the quality of the Google Pixel. I'm not making this up. There's some tech nerd in the company like, actually, actually Drew, he's actually right, it's his whole thing, the Google Pixel.

• 1:34:07Drew Afualo?

I'd say that too, if I was fucking working at Google Pixel.

• 1:34:10Speaker 02

I wish I was working at Google Pixel. Uh, but yeah, but, but the iPhone is better for those apps. And then there's certain things, a lot of things with the Google's phone is better for, and the iPhones, I just kind of flop back and forth between the two. I got three phones actually, one for the bros, one for the hoes, one for the nos. I don't do coke, I'm kidding, I don't do coke.

• 1:34:26Drew Afualo?

  Not anymore.

• 1:34:27Speaker 02

  Not anymore.

• 1:34:28Drew Afualo?

  That's 2024, that's the past. I'm just kidding.

• 1:34:32Speaker 02

Last year is, I thought it was like twenty, like 2004 or something. Where were you in 2004? I don't wanna, I don't wanna hurt my feelings. Where were you in 2004? What were you doing?

• 1:34:39Drew Afualo?

  2004, I was nine.

• 1:34:41Speaker 02

  Nine years old, that hurt.

• 1:34:43Drew Afualo?

  And you were what, 25?

• 1:34:44Speaker 02

  I was eight.

• 1:34:47Speaker 02

Eighteen years old, how dare you? I just graduated high school at Clayton County, Marilla High School in Clayton County.

• 1:34:54Drew Afualo?

  Nice.

• 1:34:55Speaker 02

I think I'm the most famous person from my high school.

• 1:34:57Drew Afualo?

  From your high school?

• 1:34:58Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:34:59Drew Afualo?

  I would assume.

• 1:34:59Speaker 02

Not from every high school in the world.

• 1:35:02Speaker 02

But I mean Clayton County actually is a pretty, I mean, there's a lot of famous rappers from Clayton County.

• 1:35:06Drew Afualo?

  Okay, too.

• 1:35:06Speaker 02

  Lotto is from Clayton County.

• 1:35:08Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 1:35:08Speaker 02

Waka Waka Flame is from Clayton County.

• 1:35:10Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:35:10Speaker 02

Michael Montana is from Clayton County. I think Bubba Sparks might be from Clayton County, but he might be from Grange, Georgia. I'm not sure where Bubba Sparks is from.

• 1:35:18Drew Afualo?

  Okay, too.

• 1:35:19Speaker 02

So there's a lot, but they didn't go to my high school, so.

• 1:35:21Drew Afualo?

So as of right now, it's me.

• 1:35:25Drew Afualo?

You know what's funny is I've been doing college talks recently, like I just go and like answer questions or whatever. And I've been asked by so many colleges, except my own, the one that I went to.

• 1:35:35Speaker 02

  I also, okay.

• 1:35:36Drew Afualo?

  They never ask me.

• 1:35:37Speaker 02

  Doesn't that stink?

• 1:35:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I don't know about that.

• 1:35:39Speaker 02

I told my agent, I said, I want to do it, he told you, you should do a show on my tour, you're gonna go to Atlanta. I said, no, I'm gonna go to Columbus, Georgia, where I was born. I'm going to Columbus, Georgia.

• 1:35:48Drew Afualo?

  Love.

• 1:35:49Speaker 02

I'm gonna go back to my alma mater.

• 1:35:51Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:35:52Speaker 02

And I'm going to put on, I'm gonna sell out the Bill Hurd Theater, the biggest theater.

• 1:35:56Drew Afualo?

  Hometown hero.

• 1:35:57Speaker 02

When I tell you, that was my lowest selling show.

• 1:36:04Speaker 02

When I tell you Columbus said, nigga, fuck you, I don't know you.

• 1:36:08Drew Afualo?

He said, when I tell you Columbus doesn't give a fuck about me.

• 1:36:11Speaker 02

Didn't care. I had more members of my family in all that than I had paying people. I paid to do that show. That was insane. And my agent was like, no, don't go. I said, no, you don't get, you don't get it. My town loves me, baby.

• 1:36:24Drew Afualo?

They're gonna show out for me.

• 1:36:25Speaker 02

  No one.

• 1:36:27Drew Afualo?

  Couldn't be bothered.

• 1:36:28Speaker 02

They didn't even hire security. They were like, we're gonna give you one usher and someone work the popcorn machine, bitch.

• 1:36:35Drew Afualo?

And that's all you get. And he clocks out at five.

• 1:36:37Speaker 02

It was very humble. It ended up being a really beautiful show because I just ended up like not caring and like doing my own thing. But I was like, I would remember thinking to myself, this is gonna be, this is gonna be my big come home moment. They're gonna gag me. No one. My lowest, so I did over eighty shows. I sold less tickets there than anywhere I've ever been. Columbus, I'm very disappointed in you. Very disappointed in you. I've put you bitches on the motherfucking map.

• 1:37:02Drew Afualo?

And this is how you fucking thank me?

• 1:37:03Speaker 02

I think a famous person from Columbus, Georgia, Wayne Brady's from Columbus, Georgia.

• 1:37:06Drew Afualo?

  Oh, cool.

• 1:37:06Speaker 02

And also, I don't know if you know Ma Rainey is a famous blues singer. She's from Columbus, Georgia, and she might be my cousin.

• 1:37:12Drew Afualo?

  Okay, too.

• 1:37:13Speaker 02

Yeah, I think Ma Rainey might be. Do you ever do the DNA test?

• 1:37:16Drew Afualo?

  No, I haven't. I'm a little afraid to.

• 1:37:19Speaker 02

I will send my fucking DNA to anyone. I'll send a bottle of sperm to anyone.

• 1:37:23Drew Afualo?

I bet you would. And I had to ask you to stop because you wouldn't send something to me.

• 1:37:29Drew Afualo?

I didn't want to have to bring it up on the show, but you brought it up first, so.

• 1:37:33Speaker 02

That's really good. That was really fucking funny. I love that.

• 1:37:37Drew Afualo?

I do feel that way, though, about most things where, like, when they say things like, "Oh, they're watching you through your phone," or whatever. I don't care.

• 1:37:45Speaker 02

  I don't care.

• 1:37:46Drew Afualo?

  I can't be bothered.

• 1:37:46Speaker 02

And I'm not doing anything interesting.

• 1:37:47Drew Afualo?

Me, too. I've said that. I'm like, if I'm not, it's boring as fuck, but if you find anything.

• 1:37:53Speaker 02

Y'all want to watch me play Fortnite?

• 1:37:55Drew Afualo?

For real? Do you like, do you like video games? You love video games. I think we talked about that.

• 1:37:59Speaker 02

  I love video games.

• 1:38:00Drew Afualo?

What's your favorite kind of video game?

• 1:38:01Speaker 02

Uh, I like, uh, Super Smash Brothers.

• 1:38:03Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 1:38:04Speaker 02

So I love fighting games, but I've specifically been zoning in on Super Smash Brothers specifically. I probably want to come out for the first time in a long time, like, two nights ago with a friend of mine. And it just took me so long to get back into it, but Super Smash, I'm that girl.

• 1:38:17Drew Afualo?

Who, who's your character on Smash Bros.?

• 1:38:19Speaker 02

See, I have a few. My first go-to is always Villager.

• 1:38:21Drew Afualo?

  Okay, too.

• 1:38:22Speaker 02

Villager's also the only character you can make black.

• 1:38:26Speaker 02

I don't know others. If you, if you L1 back one time, you get Black Villager. Black Villager! I love this. I just always say that.

• 1:38:33Drew Afualo?

That should be your WWE name.

• 1:38:35Speaker 02

Black Villager. Black Villager! And you can make some characters literally the color black. There's like a black Kirby.

• 1:38:43Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:38:43Speaker 02

There's a black Donkey Kong, a black King K-Rule, a black Ganondorf, but they're literally the color black.

• 1:38:49Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:38:49Speaker 02

Uh, but Villager's is like a black woman.

• 1:38:51Drew Afualo?

  Okay, cool.

• 1:38:52Speaker 02

No, there's also a black Inkling.

• 1:38:54Drew Afualo?

Okay, too. I was a Kirby girl.

• 1:38:56Speaker 02

  Kirby girly?

• 1:38:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:38:57Speaker 02

  Oh, I hate the Kirbys.

• 1:38:59Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's not the best. As I've played the newer versions of Smash Bros., like, when I played back in the day, I was always Kirby, and I felt like I was killing it. Now, I feel like Kirby's just not really holding up.

• 1:39:08Speaker 02

He got nursed. He was too powerful.

• 1:39:09Drew Afualo?

  He did, yeah.

• 1:39:10Speaker 02

  He was definitely too powerful.

• 1:39:11Drew Afualo?

  Exactly.

• 1:39:12Speaker 02

I feel like, I'm gonna say right now, if you get back into it, I feel in my heart of hearts you're gonna be a Zelda girly.

• 1:39:18Drew Afualo?

Really, you think? I do love Zelda.

• 1:39:20Speaker 02

You've got some Zelda in you.

• 1:39:21Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:39:22Speaker 02

She's a really great character. She has great defensive moves. She has, uh, she can deflect moves as well. She has a shield.

• 1:39:27Drew Afualo?

  T.

• 1:39:28Speaker 02

Uh, she has a, a, a, a, a guard who shows up out of nowhere and swings a big, a big sword at you. She's, she's a great character.

• 1:39:34Drew Afualo?

I love that you're super into fighting games. Do you like any other kinds of games like?

• 1:39:37Speaker 02

I, I like Fortnite because it's like, it's like a first person shooter game. But I can't Call of Duty. I can't like.

• 1:39:44Drew Afualo?

No, it's too much. It's scary.

• 1:39:46Speaker 02

  It's too real.

• 1:39:47Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's too real. It's horrifying. Have you ever, the story?

• 1:39:50Speaker 02

Bodies fall, the, the bodies like.

• 1:39:53Drew Afualo?

  For real.

• 1:39:54Speaker 02

  Like in Fortnite.

• 1:39:54Drew Afualo?

Watch you blow a hole in their head. Yeah.

• 1:39:56Speaker 02

Literally, but Fortnite is kind of like evaporate. Like, oh, that's what I want to see. They like, they like fade away. But this game is, it's like.

• 1:40:01Drew Afualo?

  Cartoon death.

• 1:40:02Speaker 02

The guys literally like, my wife. Tell my wife I love her. I'm like, Jesus Christ.

• 1:40:08Drew Afualo?

The story modes on Call of Duty are even more scary because they're like real, like it, they're war stories, obviously, but they look and feel too real. I just don't like when I have to like, it's me. Like, uh, it's my vision, like P O B. First person. I don't like that. I, I prefer a, a third person view.

• 1:40:25Speaker 02

Well, when you play Fortnite, it's not really first person because you can actually, you can actually see your.

• 1:40:29Drew Afualo?

Your little character. Yeah. I had a spell with, with Fortnite where I was like playing it a lot.

• 1:40:34Speaker 02

  How were you?

• 1:40:35Drew Afualo?

I was pretty good. I started getting a lot better and then I won like two or three times and then I was like, yeah, I'm done. Over it. Yeah. Retire while I'm on top, you know?

• 1:40:43Speaker 02

  Honestly.

• 1:40:44Drew Afualo?

Hang my jersey in the rafters.

• 1:40:45Speaker 02

I do love Fortnite. Fortnite and Smash are my two favorite video games. And then every fifteen years when they release a Zelda, I will play the whole thing.

• 1:40:52Drew Afualo?

I loved the Zelda games when I, the GameCube was a thing. My sister and I had all the Zelda games. Loved those fucking games.

• 1:40:59Speaker 02

I mean, Tears of the Kingdom was a really, really great. Breath, I mean, Breath of the Wild is really that girl.

• 1:41:05Drew Afualo?

  Really?

• 1:41:05Speaker 02

I don't think they will ever top Breath of the Wild.

• 1:41:07Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:41:08Speaker 02

  Ever.

• 1:41:08Drew Afualo?

I haven't played Zelda anytime recently, but sometimes she calls to me.

• 1:41:12Speaker 02

It's fun. You have a Switch?

• 1:41:14Drew Afualo?

  No, I don't. Actually, no, I do. I do have a Switch.

• 1:41:16Speaker 02

Yeah, you gotta have to play it on Switch. Breath of the Wild, ten out of ten recommend.

• 1:41:20Drew Afualo?

Okay, love. You know, it's funny. I talked to Monet about video games too.

• 1:41:24Speaker 02

She doesn't like worth a while.

• 1:41:26Drew Afualo?

No, but when we were talking about the portable PS five.

• 1:41:29Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:41:29Drew Afualo?

  Things, have you seen those?

• 1:41:30Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 1:41:30Drew Afualo?

She goes, oh, my God, my boyfriend got me one recently and she goes, they're fuck. I go, oh, they're fucking stupid. They don't work. Like, have you ever tried those?

• 1:41:39Speaker 02

  No, I've never played it.

• 1:41:40Drew Afualo?

No, it's literally like it looks awesome because it looks exactly like the PS five. But then like you need to be right next to the PS five in order to use it. Hey, what's the fucking point?

• 1:41:50Speaker 02

And then let's thank our sponsor Sony.

• 1:41:53Drew Afualo?

Netflix would never do that to me.

• 1:41:54Speaker 02

Do you ever get ready with these?

• 1:41:56Drew Afualo?

  Have I ever done that?

• 1:41:57Speaker 02

  Do you ever do them?

• 1:41:58Drew Afualo?

  No, not really.

• 1:42:00Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 1:42:00Drew Afualo?

Not on my personal TikTok, but.

• 1:42:02Speaker 02

Do you do your makeup sometimes too?

• 1:42:04Drew Afualo?

Yeah, but not for work ever. It's always, yeah.

• 1:42:07Speaker 02

Fair and valid, valid and fair.

• 1:42:08Drew Afualo?

I know. That's why I'm like sometimes or this morning, literally I told my cousin Adam, I was like, oh, I'm, I have Bob today. And he was like, oh, and then he spent extra long on my face.

• 1:42:18Speaker 02

  He looks stunning.

• 1:42:18Drew Afualo?

Thank you. But I always remember that he always says like whenever I'm working with drag queens, he wants to do a really good job on my makeup, just in case. So they don't clock me.

• 1:42:26Speaker 02

So what's he doing the other time?

• 1:42:28Drew Afualo?

Exactly. I was like, oh, I like that.

• 1:42:29Speaker 02

Have a conversation. Let's have another reevaluation, a work assessment, honey.

• 1:42:33Drew Afualo?

We'll revisit that at the end of this quarter.

• 1:42:36Drew Afualo?

Well, to close us, do you have any advice for anyone who's pursuing any sort of creative endeavor right now?

• 1:42:45Speaker 02

My greatest gift is that I am not a perfectionist.

• 1:42:48Drew Afualo?

  Love.

• 1:42:49Speaker 02

I just do it. Just make it.

• 1:42:51Drew Afualo?

  Mm hmm.

• 1:42:52Speaker 02

Just make the TikTok, make the food.

• 1:42:54Drew Afualo?

  Mm hmm.

• 1:42:55Speaker 02

Draw the picture, write the book, write the joke, and you'll just get better next time.

• 1:43:00Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And it's true. And you are a man of many talents. I do want to say before, on a very serious note, I fucking love you, obviously. I love you very personally, but I think you are so fucking talented. Like you are like one of the most talented people I've ever met that can do so many different things. And I mean that so sincerely.

• 1:43:16Speaker 02

You don't know that many people. You don't get, oh, you don't get that much.

• 1:43:19Drew Afualo?

Well, out of all the drag queens.

• 1:43:22Speaker 02

  Obviously, that's obvious.

• 1:43:23Drew Afualo?

In, in general, I just think, I think you're a fucking star. I think you know that, but I just think you're fantastic and amazing and I feel lucky to know you.

• 1:43:29Speaker 02

That means a lot to me. And also I'm going to, uh, get you a copy of my book.

• 1:43:33Drew Afualo?

  Please do.

• 1:43:34Speaker 02

I meant to bring it, but I ended up giving away a bunch of the queeries last night that I was hosting and I ran out of books. But I'm gonna get you a signed copy of my book and I'm going to text you over. So in my audiobook.

• 1:43:44Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 1:43:44Speaker 02

Uh, there are two original songs in it.

• 1:43:46Drew Afualo?

  Oh, I love.

• 1:43:47Speaker 02

Two original songs. I'm gonna send them over to you. I'm so, like, these are the best songs I've ever written.

• 1:43:52Drew Afualo?

  Oh, I love that.

• 1:43:53Speaker 02

These are legit the best songs I've ever, they're written from the perspective, like, the point of view, the POV of Harry Tupman.

• 1:43:57Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:43:58Speaker 02

The best songs I have ever written in my fucking life and I cannot wait to share them with you.

• 1:44:03Drew Afualo?

I love to hear that and I think you're, I think you're a shining example of someone who, obviously you're so talented in, in the drag world. But you're someone who is an artist at the very center of everything. You're an artist and I think you've done a fantastic job of being able to showcase all the other talents outside of drag, like, obviously you love drag, but like, you are so incredibly talented outside of that. So I'm so excited to read your book and hear your songs. I think you're fantastic.

• 1:44:27Speaker 02

These nails real quick. My god. Who's your nail person?

• 1:44:30Drew Afualo?

Uh, her name's Michelle. Michelle Nail Studio.

• 1:44:33Speaker 02

  Michelle eight?

• 1:44:34Drew Afualo?

Yeah. She does a good job.

• 1:44:35Speaker 02

Crazy that the very first name was a woman who ate. That's crazy.

• 1:44:40Drew Afualo?
