And I have the problem of the left, actually. Like, yeah, we're trying to end each other.

• 0:37Drew Afualo?

  It's eating itself.

• 0:38Speaker 01

We're all saying, "ACAB, we're policing each other." You guys all have Mickey Mouse Blue Lives Matter tattoos. And I can see it.

• 0:46Drew Afualo?

  You're two steps from me.

• 0:54Drew Afualo?

Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Comment Section Show. Sorry, me, your babe, everybody knows me, cares about me. Onto the guest today, we have the iconic, the legendary, the hilarious Maggie Winters.

• 1:06Speaker 01

Oh, my God. And everyone does care about you, so don't ever say that in front of me again.

• 1:11Drew Afualo?

You'd be surprised. Depends on who's sitting in that chair.

• 1:14Speaker 01

Someone on the pod's like, "Great, I'm with her."

• 1:19Drew Afualo?

Well, no, sometimes, depending on who it is, they'll be like, "Can you guys..." "Oh, my gosh, I love Chaperone. Can you tell that other bitch to shut the fuck up?" On my show, unfortunately, you're gonna have to hear me talk.

• 1:30Speaker 01

Honey, it's gonna be my show, yeah.

• 1:31Drew Afualo?

Unfortunately, I am a huge part of it.

• 1:34Speaker 01

  Oh, my God.

• 1:35Drew Afualo?

But I'm so happy to have you.

• 1:36Speaker 01

Because they're like, "Oh, I can't believe I'm here." When I walked in and saw the set, I was like, "Maybe they don't know who I am, and they somehow got tricked into having me here."

• 1:44Drew Afualo?

  Are you kidding?

• 1:45Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:45Drew Afualo?

  No. I'm a A1, day 1 fan of you.

• 1:48Speaker 01

Thank you. It's the world, yes.

• 1:50Drew Afualo?

I think you're the funniest ever.

• 1:51Speaker 01

  Oh, God.

• 1:52Drew Afualo?

And I love funny women. You know that about me.

• 1:54Speaker 01

  We're trying out here.

• 1:55Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, that's true.

• 1:56Speaker 01

I do feel like I'm making the joke too much onstage where I'm like, "Yeah, and I'm a woman, and yeah, we can be funny now." And people are like, look around like, "Oh." And I'm like, "No, it's a joke, because people say we're not." And then it's like, if I do explain it, it's over.

• 2:09Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, forget it.

• 2:10Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 2:10Drew Afualo?

Nah, forget it. You're not the audience for me. I get that. Sometimes I think some of my better jokes get lost in the, in the shuffle of my like man hating.

• 2:19Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 2:19Drew Afualo?

You know? Sometimes I think people don't give me enough credit for.

• 2:22Speaker 01

  Oh, this is a man. I actually, I'm a, I'm a big, I, I love men.

• 2:26Drew Afualo?

  Oh, oh, you do.

• 2:26Speaker 01

  I'm big for men.

• 2:27Drew Afualo?

  Oh, no.

• 2:28Speaker 01

  Maggie Winters for men.

• 2:32Drew Afualo?

  Different kind of red hat.

• 2:34Speaker 01

  I have an Instagram.

• 2:36Drew Afualo?

Oh, I'm actually for them. Uh-oh.

• 2:40Speaker 01

I'm gonna go into it right away because yes, so as you know, in Disney, I went to Disneyland.

• 2:45Drew Afualo?

That's true. Maggie's also a Disney adult like me.

• 2:47Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 2:47Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 2:48Speaker 01

And that was my subway take and someone did say, I had diabetes on my subway take, just for me saying I was a Disney adult.

• 2:56Speaker 01

It made me laugh so hard. It was all kept, you have diabetes.

• 3:00Drew Afualo?

And that's how you found out?

• 3:02Speaker 01

  Yeah, that's.

• 3:02Drew Afualo?

  Via subway take comment?

• 3:04Speaker 01

I do, I do make the joke now. I go, it was my doctor trying to get a hold of me.

• 3:09Drew Afualo?

  I'm a busy girl.

• 3:10Speaker 01

Yesterday I was in, it was in Toontown, of course.

• 3:13Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, of course.

• 3:14Speaker 01

And I was on, right in under the gag factory, which makes me laugh so hard.

• 3:18Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, have to.

• 3:19Speaker 01

And my friend Jordan said, she's like, I'm trying to get people to say, instead of MAGA, um, Gaga? And I was like, it's not gonna happen.

• 3:27Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I don't think that's gonna take.

• 3:29Speaker 01

I actually think I'm saying it wrong, but she was like, I want people to be like, I wanted to change to gag, like. I was like.

• 3:35Drew Afualo?

And you're like, you should workshop it a little bit more.

• 3:38Speaker 01

I was like, you need to get to the gag factory, honey. It's like the factory and something else.

• 3:42Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I, I actually.

• 3:43Speaker 01

  Warehouse, the gag warehouse.

• 3:44Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the gag warehouse. I just saw a TikTok of that, like.

• 3:47Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 3:47Drew Afualo?

  Using that, oh.

• 3:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 3:50Drew Afualo?

  That like audio.

• 3:51Speaker 01

  I have.

• 3:52Drew Afualo?

  Ballroom audio.

• 3:52Speaker 01

Yes, the ball, oh my god. Mickey and Minnie's Railroad Runaway.

• 3:58Drew Afualo?

  It's so fun.

• 3:58Speaker 01

  It's a blast.

• 3:59Drew Afualo?

I love that. I remember the first time I went on that ride was at, I think Disney World was the first time I'd ever ridden that ride specifically. And I was like, ah, kid ride. And then when I got off, I felt like, that was amazing.

• 4:12Speaker 01

  Sweet.

• 4:13Drew Afualo?

  It is.

• 4:13Speaker 01

  I'm a, I'm a world girl.

• 4:15Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 4:16Speaker 01

  I worked there.

• 4:17Drew Afualo?

  Did you really?

• 4:17Speaker 01

I did the college program, yeah. I was a space cop in Tomorrowland.

• 4:21Drew Afualo?

So that and improv? Hand in hand.

• 4:24Speaker 01

Hand in hand. Um, so I, everything, I, I say this about a lot of myself. Anything that the world is like, that's bad and cringe. I'm kinda like, I'm loving it, like.

• 4:32Drew Afualo?

  Just like historically.

• 4:33Speaker 01

Yeah, like improv, like, everything. I'm always like, this is for me. And people are like, that's actually, we don't like that. I'm like, awesome, no, no worries.

• 4:40Drew Afualo?

  Okay, yeah, me either.

• 4:40Speaker 01

But because I have like a hand tattoo, people are like, you can get away with it.

• 4:43Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 4:44Speaker 01

I guess you have to just not dress, you don't, you can't have, um, a tattoo of it. Do you have any Disney tattoos?

• 4:51Drew Afualo?

  I do not.

• 4:52Speaker 01

  Me neither, okay.

• 4:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, I haven't crossed that threshold. But I think part of that is because all of my tattoos are like, cultural. So I'm a big, this is probably a Virgo part of me, mentally ill, depending on who you ask. It's like, they, all my tattoos have to match. I want them all to be similar in theme.

• 5:07Speaker 01

  They're very beautiful.

• 5:08Drew Afualo?

  Thank you.

• 5:09Speaker 01

I wish I had culture, um, no.

• 5:11Drew Afualo?

  You are from Chicago.

• 5:13Speaker 01

I am, I am from Chicago.

• 5:14Drew Afualo?

  So.

• 5:14Speaker 01

My brother, this is funny, they're probably gonna hate that I say this. My brothers and like all their best friends when they were like twenty-two, I think got the Chicago flag tattoo when they were drunk.

• 5:23Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 5:23Speaker 01

And now everyone's like, you're a cop? And they're like, I don't know. Cause they've all have it here.

• 5:28Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 5:29Speaker 01

  My brother.

• 5:29Drew Afualo?

And it's in the most cop place.

• 5:31Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 5:31Drew Afualo?

  The, the outer bicep.

• 5:33Speaker 01

They're very much not, that's not their style.

• 5:35Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 5:35Speaker 01

They are like, union workers, Chicago, so I'm like, you can go with that. But when you see the Chicago flag on a man, you're kinda like,

• 5:42Drew Afualo?

  Cop.

• 5:42Speaker 01

  Cop.

• 5:43Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 5:43Speaker 01

My brother was like, I kinda wanna get a skeleton like coming out of it. I was like, you should, yeah.

• 5:48Drew Afualo?

  Do something.

• 5:49Speaker 01

Do something to get it going.

• 5:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, edit it in some way or fashion.

• 5:53Speaker 01

Big time. My, um, parents really don't like tattoos and me and my two brothers have a bunch.

• 5:59Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Are your parents like a traditional, I know your dad's Irish.

• 6:03Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 6:04Drew Afualo?

Is he Irish Catholic? Are they both Catholics?

• 6:05Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 6:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, of course.

• 6:06Speaker 01

  Irish, we have a.

• 6:07Drew Afualo?

  Chicago, obviously.

• 6:08Speaker 01

My uncle's a priest, are you kidding me? We have a painting of Jesus in the living room. He's in the water for some reason, in a towel dripping from his hands like this. I'm going, what is this? They're like, it's pa- it's a beautiful painting of Jesus. I'm like, he's sexy coming out of the water, like.

• 6:25Drew Afualo?

  You're strapping?

• 6:25Speaker 01

Yeah. I like, I guess if you're trying to get me into religion, like this is how to do it.

• 6:29Drew Afualo?

I guess that's the way to do it.

• 6:30Speaker 01

But they're very, when I was like, you know, in my twenties, I was like, I'm not Catholic. And my dad was like, well, you are, you're Irish Catholic. Like, it's culture. And I was like, great, yeah.

• 6:38Drew Afualo?

  Well, that's not, okay.

• 6:39Speaker 01

No, and he, he was like, it's like in a Jewish way. I was like, whatever you have to say.

• 6:44Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 6:45Speaker 01

All my love to you. We do, yeah, we do, we, I told you, we celebrate St. Patrick's Day in like a big way.

• 6:50Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 6:51Speaker 01

We start the day with Catholic Mass in my backyard.

• 6:53Drew Afualo?

  In your backyard?

• 6:54Speaker 01

  My uncle's obviously saying it.

• 6:55Drew Afualo?

Well, I guess that kind of works when you have a plug, AKA a priest in your home.

• 6:58Speaker 01

Yeah. I was gonna say, we do have plugs kind of every now. It is, it's really, it's, it's so, it's such a goofy thing.

• 7:05Drew Afualo?

  We have church at home.

• 7:06Speaker 01

Half, half hour long, we're not doing the full thing.

• 7:08Drew Afualo?

  Oh, that's nice.

• 7:09Speaker 01

So we can start drinking alcohol.

• 7:10Drew Afualo?

Oh, right, okay. Well, that's a true Irish Catholic, to be honest.

• 7:14Speaker 01

  And, yes.

• 7:15Drew Afualo?

  I really do think.

• 7:15Speaker 01

Well, I was gonna ask, is drinking in Samoan culture big or no?

• 7:19Drew Afualo?

It is, I wouldn't say, I mean, there is something called mixing in Polynesian culture, I ca- I can't even say it specifically Samoan, because Tongans do it a lot too, but mixing is like kava. So you like mix it in like, normally it's a bucket, but it's traditionally like a big wooden bowl, but it's like, a drink that quite honestly tastes like shit. It tastes like dirt and water, because that is what it is, it's plant, the root of a plant in water. But it gives you, um, if you drink enough of it, it like gives you this really numbing, weird feeling, almost like being high.

• 7:47Speaker 01

  I'm in right now.

• 7:48Drew Afualo?

  But it does.

• 7:49Speaker 01

  Get the bucket out.

• 7:51Drew Afualo?

So when you mix, like, that's like, that's like their version of drinking, but of course, yeah, they do love to drink.

• 7:55Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 7:55Drew Afualo?

Samoan people love to drink. But like, my family is, one side of my family is like devout Christian, the other side is Mormon.

• 8:03Speaker 01

  Mormon?

• 8:03Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, but no Catholics.

• 8:05Speaker 01

I'm locked in on the Mormons.

• 8:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, Mormons, yeah.

• 8:07Speaker 01

  They're so interesting to me.

• 8:07Drew Afualo?

They are fascinating. And so like, I did, I actually.

• 8:11Speaker 01

  Were you raised?

• 8:12Drew Afualo?

No, no, no, my, my parents raised.

• 8:13Speaker 01

Were you raised at all? What's going on?

• 8:16Drew Afualo?

My parents found me wandering in the backyard and just kind of brought, like.

• 8:19Speaker 01

  Get her in here.

• 8:19Drew Afualo?

They laid down treats, like Sully did to Boo, and then I just walked in the house.

• 8:23Speaker 01

  Wait, oh my god.

• 8:25Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so my dad's, my dad was raised Mormon.

• 8:27Speaker 01

And there is no alcohol now?

• 8:28Drew Afualo?

No, there's nothing. They can't even, women can't even show their shoulders. They can't even drink, uh, caffeinated soda. Yeah, or juices, after, like on certain days, but like my.

• 8:36Speaker 01

Don't they all drink swig? Isn't that caffeinated?

• 8:39Drew Afualo?

That's what I, that's what I'm confused about. I don't know if the rules have been altered, but like when I was a kid and I would go visit my Mormon side, they couldn't have anything with caffeine.

• 8:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 8:48Drew Afualo?

They could drink coffee. They would never drink coffee and they would never drink soda. So it was a real, they were big.

• 8:51Speaker 01

  Something's up.

• 8:52Drew Afualo?

Like Mormon people are big juice people. They love juice. Don't know what that is, but they do love juice. It's true. That's their version of like.

• 9:01Speaker 01

  Orange pineapple.

• 9:02Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, just any, any juice.

• 9:04Speaker 01

Me trying to think of juices, like orange apple. Pineapple.

• 9:08Drew Afualo?

  Forgetting all juice.

• 9:10Speaker 01

Oh my God. I, we, we only got orange juice and we loved orange juice and we would chug it and my dad would walk in and go, cool it Sluggo. Sluggo. So me and my brothers did get the word Sluggo tattooed on our arms. We think it was so funny.

• 9:25Drew Afualo?

  You know what's crazy?

• 9:26Speaker 01

  Say it.

• 9:27Drew Afualo?

Me and my siblings have a, have a tattoo of our dad, but it's like a joke, like also.

• 9:32Speaker 01

  Yes, yeah.

• 9:32Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so like we also have matching tattoos as siblings. So like my dad's very first tattoo ever was this, um, like, almost like stick and poke, but it was like tapped into him when he was living in Samoa. And it's so small and it's on his shoulder. My dad is humongous. So the thing is like this big on his left shoulder. Girlie, low key.

• 9:51Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 9:52Drew Afualo?

And it's like written script and it does a hundred percent Samoan. And he like hates it. He's so embarrassed by it. It's all blown out because it was done by someone who was not a tattoo artist. So like when we were fucked up one day, we were like, we should get a tattoo that says seventy-five percent Samoan. My dad's full, my mom's half.

• 10:09Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 10:09Drew Afualo?

And we were like, yeah, yeah. And then we did it. So we all have that tattoo.

• 10:12Speaker 01

  Seventy-five percent.

• 10:14Drew Afualo?

So I was like, we did tattoo a bit on us because of our dad.

• 10:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 10:18Drew Afualo?

So I'm with you and your siblings on that. Look at us.

• 10:21Speaker 01

  That's fun. You.

• 10:22Drew Afualo?

The mystery continues of us being raised.

• 10:23Speaker 01

White Americans would have about seventeen, would be like two percent Italian. And then I get like twenty-three of me will take that away in like three weeks. They like switch it and you're like, what am I?

• 10:33Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 10:34Speaker 01

I do have the Irish. I'm like seventy-five percent Irish, but that'll change day to day.

• 10:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it does depend on who you ask. Who you said your DNA to.

• 10:41Speaker 01

Oh, and you know, my mom was like, let's, we're gonna do ancestry too. Like everyone has my blood and DNA.

• 10:46Drew Afualo?

To get to the bottom of this.

• 10:47Speaker 01

Yeah, she's more like she wanted to. Connect like, like a family tree.

• 10:51Drew Afualo?

  Interesting.

• 10:52Speaker 01

But she, it's sad because at some point she'll be like, I found out that our, you know, my cousin, sisters, whatever, aunt. She got in a car crash in Arizona and you're like, okay, like is this? I never knew her. I don't, I'm scared that she's.

• 11:08Drew Afualo?

They yearn to tell you news of people dying.

• 11:10Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 11:11Drew Afualo?

  They love to do that.

• 11:12Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 11:12Drew Afualo?

They're like, do you remember so and so?

• 11:17Drew Afualo?

Or she's pregnant. Can you believe that? It's either or.

• 11:20Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:21Drew Afualo?

It's funny because my fiance's mom is white. She's a white woman.

• 11:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 11:24Drew Afualo?

Love her. And she is like.

• 11:26Speaker 01

Looked right at me as she said that.

• 11:27Drew Afualo?

  Right. Profiling.

• 11:29Speaker 01

She's a white woman. You're about, you're gonna be a mother in law one night.

• 11:31Drew Afualo?

You guys are gonna have a lot in common.

• 11:36Drew Afualo?

She's like my favorite person to tell news to. Because the way she reacts is always, you're kidding. No matter what it is, it could be like, this is on sale or someone died. And she'll be like, Drew, you're lying to me. And I'd be like, no, if you can believe it, Lisa, it's true.

• 11:55Speaker 01

  I'm dead serious.

• 11:56Drew Afualo?

If you, if you can believe it.

• 11:57Speaker 01

My mom on the phone, she's going, huh, stop. What? You're lying. I go, I go, what happened? Nothing. She goes, nothing. I go, wait, who died? Nobody. Like, she's on the phone acting like, no, like, can I say it? Like, like, she's getting the call about nine eleven. And I, she gets off the phone, not, she's like, oh, they just, you know, they're at the grocery store.

• 12:20Drew Afualo?

What was all that pageantry we're just engaging in?

• 12:22Speaker 01

I think maybe that was, I was like, I gotta be an actress. This is awesome.

• 12:26Drew Afualo?

She needs attention and so do I.

• 12:28Speaker 01

  Oh, badly, yeah.

• 12:30Drew Afualo?

Speaking of you, uh, being an actress, we have, we did chat about this on your pod as well, a little bit. Cause we were joking about reading for the same part.

• 12:40Drew Afualo?

Maggie said, are you, I read for you for it and I go, oh my God, so did I. And you were like, probably for the same role. And I said, fat bitch at the party?

• 12:51Drew Afualo?

Because I know they're making me one.

• 12:53Speaker 01

  A thousand.

• 12:54Drew Afualo?

  And I'll take it.

• 12:55Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:55Drew Afualo?

  I'll take it.

• 12:56Speaker 01

I will take, let me look directly at the cameras. I'll take any role right now. I'm, we're trying to book.

• 13:03Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 13:03Speaker 01

We will be twins and we'll make it work.

• 13:05Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we will make it work. You will walk out of that room believing we are twins.

• 13:09Speaker 01

Very different skin tones, definitely twins.

• 13:11Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and you're saying we couldn't be related? Okay, blended families don't exist?

• 13:17Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 13:17Drew Afualo?

That's when you start turning it, yeah. I get that though. I even, I've joked before that like, I bitched about not getting any casting call whatsoever, not even a background role for Moana, the live action, which kind of felt like they walked right by me.

• 13:30Speaker 01

  That seems really illegal.

• 13:31Drew Afualo?

I was like, okay, well, one, two, The Rock's already in it, Ali's kind of in it, hello?

• 13:35Speaker 01

  Hello?

• 13:36Drew Afualo?

Hello? And so I bitched about it so much online, like, that got so much attention that they did reach out to me and let me read for background roles. No, I did not get any of them. And yes, all of them were for men. But you know what? I figured I could make it work.

• 13:51Speaker 01

  Having lines?

• 13:52Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, but background roles, obviously.

• 13:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:55Drew Afualo?

And they were like, all men. So they all were like, he, he, he, which I was like, I mean, he, he, he, I'll be in the movie if that's the case. If you need me to be, if you need me to be he/him for the movie, I will be he/him.

• 14:05Speaker 01

Do not, yeah, don't get it twisted.

• 14:06Drew Afualo?

It's fine. I am a thespian at the end of the day.

• 14:09Speaker 01

  Oh, my god.

• 14:09Drew Afualo?

So I didn't get any of the roles, which is crazy, but you know.

• 14:12Speaker 01

This is me for The Bear, um, because I'm in Chicago.

• 14:16Drew Afualo?

See, I was gonna say, I was gonna ask you about The Bear.

• 14:18Speaker 01

They're, they're kind of actively ignoring me. They don't know who I am, but they, they've never heard me.

• 14:23Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 14:24Speaker 01

Everyday kind of being like, this is very specific, is in the first season. Did you watch The Bear?

• 14:29Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 14:29Speaker 01

So you know the brothers, um, uh, the last, yeah, and you know it more better than me. They mentioned the sister.

• 14:36Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 14:37Speaker 01

And I got like two texts that were like, you better come on as a sister later.

• 14:40Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 14:40Speaker 01

Well, congrats to Brie Larson for booking your role.

• 14:44Speaker 01

They said, what if you had actually amazing actress? And not a girl from, not a loud girl from Chicago?

• 14:53Speaker 01

  And yeah, she killed it.

• 14:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I guess, I guess congrats to my body double. You know what I mean? I'll be the body double.

• 14:59Speaker 01

Me and her, Captain Marvel, the bear. I saw Captain Marvel yesterday.

• 15:05Drew Afualo?

Oh, my gosh, how was it?

• 15:06Speaker 01

I'm yelling at her. I'm going, queen. And she goes, stop.

• 15:11Speaker 01

Which is very Captain Marvel to say.

• 15:13Drew Afualo?

That is extremely Captain Marvel. That is what she would do.

• 15:16Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 15:16Drew Afualo?

That is so. But I was gonna ask if you related to the bear at all? That feels like, based off what you described about your family? Culturally accurate in a lot of ways.

• 15:24Speaker 01

  A little bit, yeah, like.

• 15:25Drew Afualo?

  Except the chef part.

• 15:26Speaker 01

Yeah, that was like, we don't have, well, my dad owned a restaurant in the 90s.

• 15:30Drew Afualo?

  Oh, gee.

• 15:30Speaker 01

  Isn't that crazy?

• 15:31Drew Afualo?

  What kind of restaurant?

• 15:32Speaker 01

Uh, like a bar and grill. So it had two names. At one point, it was Waltzy and Matilda's, and it was Australian themed. God bless. Uh, the logo is really cool, though. It was like a, a kangaroo fighting.

• 15:43Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 15:44Speaker 01

Boxing gloves. Then he changed it to Willie's Dine and Dance. And then.

• 15:49Drew Afualo?

  Was there dancing?

• 15:51Speaker 01

Yeah, I think there was a little, it was a little bar area. My uncle's made, my uncle made the desserts.

• 15:56Drew Afualo?

  Nice.

• 15:57Speaker 01

My uncle is an, my uncle John is amazing baker. You would never guess.

• 16:02Drew Afualo?

  Really?

• 16:02Speaker 01

He's like, he's bald. I, why do I feel bad saying that? He is bald. Like bald and like.

• 16:07Drew Afualo?

  It's okay, my dad's bald.

• 16:08Speaker 01

A little angry, like in the, in the most loving uncle way.

• 16:11Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 16:12Speaker 01

And then he's like, and happy birthday. Here's your cake. And you're like, this is the best cake I've ever had.

• 16:16Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 16:16Speaker 01

There's no decorations happening. Don't try to ask for that, yeah.

• 16:20Drew Afualo?

  Don't get crazy.

• 16:21Speaker 01

Yeah, so you get, it's like an older man that you're like, I love my uncle, I love my dad.

• 16:24Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 16:24Speaker 01

But I can call them a little, and my dad's a little like, man, you're a little angry.

• 16:29Drew Afualo?

  Just a little.

• 16:29Speaker 01

  Straight guy.

• 16:30Drew Afualo?

  Just like a little.

• 16:31Speaker 01

  That's a little bit going.

• 16:34Drew Afualo?

My dad is like, a big, a very large man. Like, my dad's 6'6". My dad's a big dude. But my dad is very shy, so like painfully shy.

• 16:43Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 16:44Drew Afualo?

I think my dad is the most shy person I've ever met in my entire life. Like, I joke about this all the time that if I was like standing next to my dad and we were like in a place that was generally populated like a mall.

• 16:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 16:54Drew Afualo?

And I wasn't talking to him, but I went, ah, like some did something crazy next to him. He would be so painfully humiliated for days. Like for days, just because it brought attention to him. So like, my, my dad is shy to a clinical degree, like.

• 17:10Speaker 01

  That's pretty sweet.

• 17:12Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it's very strange and my mom is like very small, so my mom is five three. Yeah, she's tiny and my mom is not afraid of anything and my mom is very outgoing, so they're like.

• 17:20Speaker 01

That's the best couple. It's like he's in the back and she's like, and don't talk to him like that.

• 17:24Drew Afualo?

Exactly. I always say like there should always be one person who loves attention and one who doesn't really care for it.

• 17:30Speaker 01

Okay, so I need to find a shy.

• 17:31Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you need to find someone who's like cool with no attention whatsoever. I've joked too.

• 17:35Speaker 01

How do I find them if they're like hiding?

• 17:37Drew Afualo?

Right, if they're, if they're hiding in the background.

• 17:39Speaker 01

  The issue, okay.

• 17:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you gotta look for butterflies on the wall. You know what I mean? So like lack of social butterfly.

• 17:45Speaker 01

I do have a question about your dad because my dad, or my brother Liam is six, seven.

• 17:50Drew Afualo?

  Tea.

• 17:51Speaker 01

  And he's very like gentle.

• 17:53Drew Afualo?

You, you're tall, so that makes sense. You come from a tall family.

• 17:55Speaker 01

He's, he's not shy, but he's definitely like a gentle giant.

• 18:00Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 18:00Speaker 01

And he says sometimes he'll go to bars, especially when he's younger and there would just be like the, like a short guy who'd be like, oh, you think because you're tall, I can't take you? And he'd be like, what? Like, I'm just standing here. He'd be like, I'll kick your ass. Like, and does that ever happen to your dad?

• 18:13Drew Afualo?

All the time. All the time, but my dad has such a gentle demeanor too, which I'm sure your brother does too. So they, they'll always say it in a way that's like a joke.

• 18:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 18:23Drew Afualo?

That'll be like, nah, I'm just kidding, man. I'm just kidding.

• 18:25Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 18:25Drew Afualo?

Like they do it to my man too, because my man is six, four.

• 18:28Speaker 01

I met him. He was so nice.

• 18:31Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, he is very nice.

• 18:32Speaker 01

Kind of annoying. You're like, okay, you're hot and nice. Grow up. Come on.

• 18:36Drew Afualo?

  Hey, knock it off.

• 18:38Speaker 01

  Knock it off.

• 18:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I know it's really fucking annoying. Trust me. I, I, trust me, I get it. That's actually perfect because recently my man, my man boxes, so he's been. Boxing for like two-ish years now and he's, he really loves it and

• 18:53Speaker 01

  Jab, uppercut.

• 18:56Drew Afualo?

  Real, real one of those.

• 19:00Drew Afualo?

So he, he boxes a lot, like when we go to the gym and stuff and he was telling me recently, he's like, this always happens when I box, like. At every gym I've ever boxed at, there will always be at least one guy who happens to be short every time, listen, like it's your guys' fault at that point. It's a pattern, like what do you call it? So like, he said they'll come over after I'm like done, like I'll be like doing my whatever the fuck he does. And then he goes, and then I'll go by my bag and I'll just be like chilling right there, like catching my breath. And then this guy will just wander over to the bags and then like punch it really hard. He says every time and then sometimes they'll come back and then they'll kick it. And he said in every time it's two punches and then they just go like, and they walk away. They're not boxing.

• 19:45Speaker 01

Like I can do it too.

• 19:46Drew Afualo?

Yes, yeah. And then he said, and then if they come back, they kick it, like, like ju- jujitsu kinda deal. And so I was, we were at our like gym that we always go to and he was like.

• 19:57Speaker 01

  Drop the address.

• 19:59Drew Afualo?

And go ahead and dox that below. And then we were, we were like, like, uh, talking and we were next to the bags. Because I was telling him something and then this guy I've never seen before walked by and then did like the two punches. He goes, see, did you see that? And then he's like, watch, he's gonna come back and he's gonna kick it. And then like probably five minutes later, he like circled back again and then he went and like kicked it to the side and then just walks away.

• 20:22Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 20:23Drew Afualo?

It's so strange. It's such a like posturing thing. Men, oh my god, they live in a prison.

• 20:33Speaker 01

Yeah, as a tall woman, people will be like, are you ever attracted to short men specifically? Cause like women, go, go for whatever. But I actually have not, um, I'm bisexual is what I meant.

• 20:46Speaker 01

They're going, what is she talking about?

• 20:47Drew Afualo?

I guess what I'm trying to say is.

• 20:48Speaker 01

Like women I, but for men, it's like, I've been attracted to short men who like don't have that, like the opposite confidence.

• 20:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like they, you can't tell.

• 20:55Speaker 01

  They're like, I don't, they're like, yeah, I'm never gonna, so I don't care.

• 20:59Drew Afualo?

I swear to God, there are some short men I've met who I never noticed they were short. Yes. Until like years into knowing them. Yes. I'm thinking of one in particular, one of our buddies. And he like, I think he's like maybe five, six. I don't even know because I can't tell. Right. Because I'm not paying attention to it. He drowns in puss, first of all, never has any problem. He hits on everyone. Like he's very like casual and very like nice and like normal. And the way women are like, oh my God, like about everything. Even one time we were going to dinner together a few times and I like, probably one time I was like, can you like, keep it in your fucking pants for one meal? One meal. Chill out for one.

• 21:39Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And it's, it's literally because he just doesn't care. It's like him, how tall he is, doesn't play a factor, doesn't play a role. Yeah.

• 21:46Speaker 01

  Take, listen up.

• 21:48Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Every time I make fun of short guys, like I do get, that was one of the things I got forever. They were like, called me a body shamer.

• 21:59Speaker 03

Welcome to 215 Maple Drive. We just put this property on the market.

• 23:01Drew Afualo?

For making fun of guys being short, which I'm like, I have very distinctly and obviously said that if you are short as a man, like a straight cis man, you cannot be terrible. Like, that's the rule.

• 23:15Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 23:15Drew Afualo?

When you are terrible, I will bring up the fact that you're short. That is your fault.

• 23:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 23:19Drew Afualo?

You made me do it. Sorry.

• 23:21Speaker 01

You made me, look what you made me do, Taylor Swift.

• 23:23Drew Afualo?

Yeah, Alexa play. Look what you made me do.

• 23:28Speaker 01

And I was scared for one second there wasn't Alexa in here. You never know.

• 23:31Drew Afualo?

Every time I say that, they do tell me, like, you made my Alexa start playing. I'm like, I'm controlling everybody.

• 23:36Speaker 01

That's called magic, yeah. Look it up. Come on.

• 23:40Drew Afualo?

Wait, let's go back to Disneyland. How was your Disney adventure yesterday?

• 23:43Speaker 01

Amazing. So I go with my two friends, Charlie and Jordan, and we just realized this is our fourth year going to Disneyland. Anytime I come to LA, which, you know, usually once or twice a year, we plan a trip and we just do us three. Cause I am the Disney one, so the first time we ever went, I was like, let me show you what to do. And now they like get it.

• 24:02Drew Afualo?

You have to know the routine.

• 24:03Speaker 01

Yes, we're on a schedule. We get in, we plan, like, I have a notes app before we go, like, I write down the snacks I want to try, sorry. And yesterday it was the chocolate cookie croissant.

• 24:15Drew Afualo?

  Ooh, tea.

• 24:16Speaker 01

It's flat. I'm not sure why, but it was amazing. Marisa's Treats.

• 24:23Speaker 01

And we got there, we did, we didn't do rope drop, but we probably were there like 10 minutes later.

• 24:28Drew Afualo?

  Tea. Early.

• 24:29Speaker 01

Early. And we went all day. Thank you for voting. I didn't, I wasn't sure what, there was no fireworks.

• 24:35Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 24:35Speaker 01

So I was like, do I see the castle show or do I see the color show?

• 24:38Drew Afualo?

  I said World of Color.

• 24:39Speaker 01

  And that's what we did.

• 24:40Drew Afualo?

And I've seen them all. I've seen every show there. So World of Color is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, besides the fireworks.

• 24:46Speaker 01

  Yeah, the Pixar.

• 24:46Drew Afualo?

  It's so fun.

• 24:48Speaker 01

Joy and all that going on.

• 24:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I literally watch it and I feel like, I'm like, wow!

• 24:52Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 24:53Drew Afualo?

Engineering is amazing. I love it. I'm being blown away.

• 24:58Speaker 01

I'm eating a huge sundae, being like, oh my god, like, truly living them. But then we were also so, so tired. We did something we've never done, which is we started at California, went to Disneyland, and then we went back to California. And the night.

• 25:11Drew Afualo?

  Tea.

• 25:11Speaker 01

Cause my Charlie's like, I want a beer. I was like, yeah, of course.

• 25:14Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And they only sell liquor in.

• 25:16Speaker 01

Yeah, right. There's only like a few, isn't there like a few things you can get maybe?

• 25:20Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I think there's like mixed drinks. There's margaritas, there's beer, but there's no, there's no alcohol in Disneyland, in Disneyland, no.

• 25:27Speaker 01

That's how Magic Kingdom was in Disney World, but then they got the Beauty and the Beast. Uh, and as I'm saying this, I'm just like, you're so sick for knowing this kind of stuff, you know, like the Beauty and the Beast restaurant actually has wine, so.

• 25:41Speaker 01

And there's a new pirates bar.

• 25:44Drew Afualo?

So, yeah, so go ahead and jot that down.

• 25:47Speaker 01

But then when I worked at Disney, I thought I was like a Disney doll, which I say I am, but when you go there, like into work, like you're done.

• 25:56Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, different vibe.

• 25:58Speaker 01

People are like, you say one thing wrong and they're like, did you just say Splash Mountain was at Hollywood Studios? That's like, you know what I mean? Like, that's really interesting. I have a tattoo of the whole park on my back.

• 26:11Speaker 01

You know what's the funniest tattoo in the world to me that it's so messed up is that couple that got the Mickey and Minnie's Blue Lives Matter?

• 26:20Speaker 01

They got a back hair, yeah.

• 26:21Drew Afualo?

Pictures of that. I've seen meme pictures of it.

• 26:23Speaker 01

  Nobody stopped them?

• 26:25Drew Afualo?

  No, of course not.

• 26:26Speaker 01

They're like, we want Disney tattoos, but we have to send a message.

• 26:30Drew Afualo?

When you were working at Disney, where'd you work? Were you like working rides or working?

• 26:33Speaker 01

I worked, um, ride, I worked the worst ride, I think in Disney history. Can you guess what it is? It's closed now.

• 26:39Drew Afualo?

No, actually I can't because I, wait, is it on dinosaur?

• 26:43Speaker 01

No, oh my God, that one's scary.

• 26:45Drew Afualo?

Okay, yeah, I literally, we went last year, I loved Disney World. I think the first time I had went was like a few years ago for like fucking Playlist Live, which was this.

• 26:54Speaker 01

  Oh my God.

• 26:55Drew Afualo?

Thing that is no longer a thing and it shouldn't have been, but it was fun because they did rent out Universal for one night, which was awesome.

• 27:01Speaker 01

  That's amazing.

• 27:02Drew Afualo?

So I got to like go on rides with the weights or whatever, but Disney World last year, my brother for his 21st birthday was like, I want to go to Disney World. Because when we had gone a few years earlier, he couldn't go because he had like football and stuff. So he's like, I really want to go to Disney World. So we all went as a family.

• 27:16Speaker 01

Did you drink around the world at Uppcot?

• 27:18Drew Afualo?

We've tried multiple times to drink around the world. The very first time we went, I made it to, I think Tokyo and then I was like, I'm going to die, so I'm going to have to stop.

• 27:26Speaker 01

You had to split drinks, I feel like.

• 27:28Drew Afualo?

That's what we found out because when we first did it, we were all getting our own. So by the time I got to France, I was literally, I was like.

• 27:35Speaker 01

Did you get a Grand Marnier slush?

• 27:37Drew Afualo?

No, oh yes, I did get that one.

• 27:38Speaker 01

  Good, good, good.

• 27:39Drew Afualo?

I will say, I will say, we were drinking like, we started on Canada, we started on Canada.

• 27:44Speaker 01

Oh, okay. People have very strong opinions about where to start.

• 27:47Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we started on Canada first, eh, like the very first time we ever went. And I remember by the time we got to London, I was fighting with my fiance. Like, we were fighting, because we'd been drinking and he was fucking annoying me. And then we went to, by the time we got to France.

• 28:00Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 28:00Drew Afualo?

And I've got, still fighting, still annoyed at each other. I was like, whatever, I don't care. And we were like, standing apart from each other. And then we were waiting in line for Ratatouille because Remy, like, Ratatouille is one of my favorite Disney movies.

• 28:12Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 28:12Drew Afualo?

So, obviously, we had to go on the ride, so we were waiting in the line, and we were, I was like, hmm. Like, we were like, mad at each other. And then, someone recognized me that was running the ride, and then they came up and they were like, hey, come here. And then they, they took my whole family out of line and they gave us, um, like, genie passes or whatever for the other rides. And then they were like, you can skip the line here, like, you could go up front. And then all of a sudden, me and my fiance, not mad anymore, we were like, okay, fight over, woo!

• 28:37Speaker 01

  That's Disney magic.

• 28:39Drew Afualo?

  That's Disney magic working.

• 28:40Speaker 01

  That's so good.

• 28:40Drew Afualo?

The Disney curse too, like, I feel like Disney can have, it can have the same Miami curse on friend groups. You know, like, you fight and break up.

• 28:47Speaker 01

  Yes, yeah.

• 28:48Drew Afualo?

Obviously, we didn't break up, we were just beefing, and I don't even remember over what, it was some bullshit, though.

• 28:53Speaker 01

  That is...

• 28:53Drew Afualo?

I know that. It is the Disney World experience.

• 28:56Speaker 01

I would, I would love to drink around the world with you and your family.

• 28:59Drew Afualo?

I would love to, now that I know, we don't have many, it's like, me and Brittany.

• 29:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 29:03Drew Afualo?

We've been trying to bully Caleb into going, he like, refuses. I was like, Caleb, you have to go with us at least once.

• 29:09Speaker 01

He makes fun of my Disney doll, I remember I did a show where he was making fun of me and from the side of the stage, I went, Gorsh! And he went, no, not Gorsh! And I was laughing so hard, I was like, oh, no, he, yeah.

• 29:19Drew Afualo?

He said, no Maggie, don't do that.

• 29:21Speaker 01

He, I don't, he would hate it, though.

• 29:23Drew Afualo?

He would, but that's what I'm saying, I'm like, you have to do it with us because you love us, and if you love us, prove it.

• 29:29Speaker 01

  Wear a grumpy shirt.

• 29:30Drew Afualo?

You have to participate in our culture. That's our culture, he has to participate in it.

• 29:33Speaker 01

  Yeah, come on.

• 29:35Drew Afualo?

I think that's fair. Wait, so which ride did you end up working?

• 29:37Speaker 01

  Stitch's Great Escape, um, yeah.

• 29:40Drew Afualo?

  Rightest.

• 29:41Speaker 01

  Do you know that?

• 29:42Drew Afualo?

  I don't even know that.

• 29:43Speaker 01

It wasn't there when you were there last year.

• 29:44Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 29:45Speaker 01

It was, so first it was Alien.

• 29:47Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 29:48Speaker 01

In, in Magic Kingdom and Tomorrowland, which Alien was like, too scary, like, you thought you were getting attacked.

• 29:53Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 29:53Speaker 01

And they're like, what if we switch it and make it nicer, instead of you're getting attacked by an alien, you're getting attacked by Stitch. Attacked, meaning, it's not a ride even, he burps on you. He spits on you.

• 30:05Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 30:06Speaker 01

He's running around. It's a prequel to the movie. There's no Lilo involved.

• 30:10Drew Afualo?

Oh, so it's just when he's being crazy.

• 30:11Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like six two six escaped. We have to get him back. The very end, he ends up in the castle. And Cinderella, you hear like a voice, she's like, oh, and he's like, I was a space. I watched, I did that in The People Mover, which I'm sad Disneyland doesn't have. Just like the little car that you like.

• 30:30Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, The People Mover, yeah.

• 30:31Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:32Drew Afualo?

That is, you know what's funny is I rode Tron for the first time last time we went. So fun, so short, but so fun.

• 30:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:40Drew Afualo?

We rode it and we were on a tour, so like they were like, do you want to ride it again? And we were like, yeah, why not? And like, we were like, it was like my whole family and like our friends and stuff. And we're all coupled up and like my man was with me.

• 30:52Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 30:53Drew Afualo?

You know how like you have to lay on it, like you have to straddle like a horse?

• 30:56Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 30:56Drew Afualo?

Like we literally, he was like, oh, running again? I go, yeah. He goes, I don't really like this position. Like it feels like vulnerable. I go, oh, you don't like?

• 31:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 31:06Drew Afualo?

Oh, someone doesn't like being vulnerable on all fours? Interesting. I mean, every, I killed everyone with that joke. I told, I told my girlfriend that joke and she was laughing because her husband was there. I told my.

• 31:17Speaker 01

  Oh, you don't like it?

• 31:18Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, oh, does it feel maybe vulnerable to be on all fours and toot it up? Yeah, toot, tooching is exhausting, isn't it?

• 31:26Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 31:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And maintain the arch while you do it. How's that?

• 31:29Speaker 01

Oh, ooh. I, that's my dream, obviously, is to do a tour or VIP.

• 31:35Drew Afualo?

  Tea.

• 31:36Speaker 01

  And I was like.

• 31:37Drew Afualo?

Then you just gotta come with me.

• 31:38Speaker 01

I know. Well, I told my family, I was like, you will know that I felt like I've made it when I can bring you guys.

• 31:43Drew Afualo?

  That's actually so tea.

• 31:44Speaker 01

On VIP. And they're like, okay, when? And I go, well, like, not soon, but we're actually going.

• 31:50Drew Afualo?

  Just you wait.

• 31:51Speaker 01

Uh, in a couple of weeks with my whole family, with my nieces and nephews.

• 31:54Drew Afualo?

  Oh, my gosh, how fun.

• 31:56Speaker 01

And they're like. Like, I'm planning, obviously, me and my mom, every second we're planning, like. So it's like, it's gonna be fine, but it's funny, like, now that there's kids involved, we have to be like, some of these ride, like, what are we gonna do with the kids when they can't go on Tower of Terror, like, I'm going on, that's my favorite ride. You know?

• 32:12Drew Afualo?

So what are you gonna do?

• 32:13Speaker 01

What are you guys gonna do? My mom's like, I'll bring them to, like, Beauty and the Beast. I'm like, great, whatever.

• 32:16Drew Afualo?

Okay, mom, perfect. You'll take that one, perfect.

• 32:18Speaker 01

One day, I'm gonna be like-

• 32:19Drew Afualo?

  Tower of Terror's fun.

• 32:21Speaker 01

  The best.

• 32:21Drew Afualo?

  At Disney World.

• 32:22Speaker 01

Uh, yeah, it's my, so Guardians, I like the music, but I'm like-

• 32:25Drew Afualo?

  Guardians is fun.

• 32:27Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 32:27Drew Afualo?

It is, I do like the music, but Tower of Terror is, like, classic.

• 32:30Speaker 01

  Oh, my god, spooky, yeah.

• 32:31Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, the OG.

• 32:32Speaker 01

  And there's a movie.

• 32:33Drew Afualo?

  That is true.

• 32:34Speaker 01

But it also is messed up, because you're, like, watching a child get electrocuted.

• 32:37Drew Afualo?

  So that's kinda fucked up.

• 32:38Speaker 01

You're like, wait, what the hell?

• 32:39Drew Afualo?

I like the, what's the rock and roll?

• 32:42Speaker 01

  Rock and roll, exactly.

• 32:43Drew Afualo?

  Rock and roll roller coaster?

• 32:44Speaker 01

Which they're changing, I guess, from-

• 32:46Drew Afualo?

  Aerosmith.

• 32:47Speaker 01

You walk in there like, "Welcome to the country!" And it's funny, because now you're like, none of these kids know who Aerosmith is.

• 32:53Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 32:54Speaker 01

  It was fun.

• 32:55Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, that was-

• 32:56Speaker 01

  That one's short, too.

• 32:57Drew Afualo?

That one shocked me. I did not know it was gonna go that fast, like, and the first time we ever rode that one, too, we, like, finished, and sometimes, and this is not me bragging, this is just a fact, sometimes, people will be like, "I'm a huge fan, do you wanna ride again?" Like, sometimes that happens, but it's not often. But this time, we pulled up, and it was a dude, and he was like, "Do you guys wanna ride again?" And we were like, "Yeah." And then he goes, "Nice hair, by the way," to my man, and he was like, "Oh, thanks," and he goes, "Looks really good."

• 33:28Speaker 01

That's why you got to ride again.

• 33:29Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, we got to ride again, because he was flirting with him, and he was like, "Hottie alert, okay, they can go again."

• 33:35Speaker 01

Oh, you're like, "You follow my stuff?" He's like, "No, the hair."

• 33:37Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and now he's like, "No, you're a man, bitch."

• 33:40Speaker 01

  No.

• 33:41Drew Afualo?

  Not you.

• 33:42Speaker 01

  Who are you?

• 33:42Drew Afualo?

  Not you, Ugo.

• 33:44Speaker 01

  Oh, my god, I-

• 33:45Drew Afualo?

I love that you love Disneyland like that. That speaks to my spirit.

• 33:48Speaker 01

I love it, and I don't, I just don't care, like, people, like, that's why the subway takes it, I was like- This is supposed to be, I don't, this is, my subway take of subway takes is to have an opinion that like, people, I'm not gonna like call anybody out, not that they know who I am, but some people just do their like, the stupidest thing where they're like, be nice to each other. It's like, yeah. Of course.

• 34:10Drew Afualo?

  Racism's bad.

• 34:11Speaker 01

Yeah, you're like, no, like, of course.

• 34:13Drew Afualo?

  That's not a hot take.

• 34:13Speaker 01

Have something, Missy and Marty did one, you know, they, they.

• 34:17Drew Afualo?

The one where they said a couple shouldn't go eat at restaurants?

• 34:20Speaker 01

Obviously, they're kidding. And people were like, me and my wife wanna go to.

• 34:23Drew Afualo?

Oh, so me and my loving partner of 20 years can't go eat. Okay, I'm in a loving monogamous relationship. I'm going to get married. I thought the shit was funny.

• 34:31Speaker 01

It was a joke, yeah, like, it's just crazy.

• 34:33Drew Afualo?

But if it's not, that's even funnier.

• 34:35Speaker 01

  Exactly, yes.

• 34:36Drew Afualo?

Nobody's being oppressed for being in a couple. Unless you're gay.

• 34:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:40Drew Afualo?

And then, in that, in that case, they are being oppressed.

• 34:42Speaker 01

  They would make you think.

• 34:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, and it was only straight people saying that.

• 34:46Speaker 01

Yes, and I was like texting them, I was like, welcome to getting, like, beat the hell up on subway takes.

• 34:51Drew Afualo?

The subway takes of it all, you're right.

• 34:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 34:53Drew Afualo?

In fact, I thought of one, I thought of one recently, like a take I had that, I think is, is fun, a fun, hot take, that's not like offensive or oppressive, but it did start a war when I did post about it, because when I used to tweet, I used to love Twitter, but I deleted it years ago because it's annoying.

• 35:10Speaker 01

  Same.

• 35:11Drew Afualo?

And gross now, but like at the time, one time, at one point, it was fun.

• 35:14Speaker 01

It was when we were all watching like the Oscars and we were just tweeting.

• 35:18Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, oh my gosh, or the Game of Thrones finale, like, things like that.

• 35:21Speaker 01

  Me being like, this sucks.

• 35:22Drew Afualo?

Yeah, exactly, me fighting on behalf of Daenerys Targaryen, right, me acting like her council. But I, I remember one time I tweeted, while I was doing this for a living, I tweeted like, peanut butter and jelly is the worst sandwich combination in the history of sandwiches, and one day, y'all will be brave enough to have that conversation with me. And the, the uproar it started was like, that's what I loved about Twitter, was like bullshit like that, like, we could debate about shit like that. And then it got less fun when someone, they started saying shit like, and this is a direct quote, that it was classist of me to believe that, because some people can only afford peanut butter and jelly.

• 36:00Speaker 01

  It's, yeah, it's.

• 36:02Drew Afualo?

It's the most like, I was like, okay, humor is dead, silliness is dead.

• 36:05Speaker 01

  It's over.

• 36:06Drew Afualo?

  Like, nobody can be silly.

• 36:07Speaker 01

  You can't be silly.

• 36:08Drew Afualo?

It's illegal for women especially to be silly.

• 36:10Speaker 01

Nice try. You're gonna be silly? That's a privilege. You're like, oh my god.

• 36:16Drew Afualo?

And I was like, okay, I grew up broke too, and that means, and I hate it, so now what?

• 36:20Speaker 01

It's the problem of the left is like, we.

• 36:22Drew Afualo?

  No, you're a vacation.

• 36:23Speaker 01

And I have the problem of the left, actually. Like, yeah, we're, yeah, we're trying to end each other.

• 36:28Drew Afualo?

  It's eating itself.

• 36:29Speaker 01

We're all saying, A-Cab, we're policing each other.

• 36:32Drew Afualo?

  Hello?

• 36:33Speaker 01

You guys all have Mickey Mouse Blue Lives Matter tattoos. And I can see it.

• 36:37Drew Afualo?

  You're two steps from it.

• 36:38Speaker 01

I just started commenting that photo, people were like, what is this made?

• 36:41Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, you're like, you.

• 36:43Speaker 01

  No, yeah.

• 36:43Drew Afualo?

  Me when I'm this.

• 36:44Speaker 01

  Me, oh my god.

• 36:45Drew Afualo?

Me when I'm annoying, and it's Blue Lives Matter, Mickey's tattoo. It's fucking true, like, let's, let a bitch be funny.

• 36:52Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 36:52Drew Afualo?

  Let's joke, let's be silly.

• 36:53Speaker 01

And if you, and this is what I do, like, go to your group chat.

• 36:56Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 36:57Speaker 01

If you don't have one, go to therapy. Um, sorry. Uh, no, but it is like.

• 37:02Drew Afualo?

Well, if you don't have one, that means you don't have friends, and you know why? Because you're fucking annoying.

• 37:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:06Drew Afualo?

  That's why.

• 37:06Speaker 01

  You're brutal.

• 37:07Drew Afualo?

You don't know how to take a joke, and you don't know how to joke. Like, sometimes when people ask me, they're like, how do I make friends like Brittany and Caleb? I go, when you say friends like Brittany and Caleb, do you mean, how can I be friends with Brittany and Caleb? Because I don't know how to tell you that.

• 37:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:19Drew Afualo?

I can't tell that to you. But on the other side, on the other side of it, I think they just mean the closeness of friendship. Like, you have a lot of really close friends too, like, adult friends, like, we're all adults. And I, so do I. And I, I really do think, I'm like, I think the younger generation struggles with that.

• 37:32Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 37:33Drew Afualo?

  Pos- partially because of COVID.

• 37:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:35Drew Afualo?

But also, I think, because of the fact that everybody is so righteous in like, the things they think and say. Even if we're aligned on everything morally.

• 37:43Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 37:44Drew Afualo?

Like, some people can be so righteous and come off very judgmental.

• 37:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 37:48Drew Afualo?

And it's like, how do you foster community like that, when you don't allow room for growth?

• 37:52Speaker 01

Exactly. You have to let people, yeah, make mistakes. Obviously, there, it's nuanced. There's things that we're gonna be like, well, that's, you're never gonna be forgiven for that.

• 38:01Drew Afualo?

  Right, exactly. I agree.

• 38:02Speaker 01

Why did my mind go Harvey Weinstein? Which is like the one, my example, where I'm like, that one.

• 38:06Drew Afualo?

  It's true, though.

• 38:07Speaker 01

  That one's like, that's done.

• 38:09Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the bigotry of it all.

• 38:10Speaker 01

Yeah, that we can be like, let's, yeah, exactly. There's things that matter. But you have to go out and make friends, it's fun.

• 38:16Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and like, allow people the space to breathe, I guess, is my point. Like, and I also, I've said this before too, because we're older. I'm thirty, how old are you?

• 38:24Speaker 01

  Thirty-five.

• 38:24Drew Afualo?

Thirty-five, period. You, you look great. Period, by the way.

• 38:28Speaker 01

The girl's on counter store of like 28 and I go, "Exactly."

• 38:32Drew Afualo?

When we like, uh, grew up, right, like we were in high school around the same time too, like, I, I, I was like, having this conversation once where I'm like, it must, it's a privilege and a, and a wonderful thing, that you're growing up in a time where you understand certain things shouldn't be joked about in a certain way, which is not something that we had back in the day. So like now, are there, there are things that I used to laugh at when I was in high school that are not funny. And I know that now because now I'm no longer an underdeveloped teen. But now that I'm an adult, I know what's funny and what's not, and I know where the lines are, right?

• 39:04Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 39:04Drew Afualo?

But I think young people growing up now think like, "Oh, well, everybody knows that." When they look like they try to go back 20 years and be like, "Why would you ever, ever joke about that?" And it's like, "Well, because at the time it was different and it, that doesn't make it okay, that's just the truth."

• 39:20Speaker 01

Yes, know that I've grown. If I was, if I was like, "That's funny then and now," it's like, "Okay, well, no."

• 39:25Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's different, yeah. And that's why you said context and nuance is important, and unfortunately, it's dead, like on the internet.

• 39:30Speaker 01

  It's dead. Bring it back.

• 39:31Drew Afualo?

It's so hard, like, it's, it's hard to joke about stuff in a way that's like, a, a perfect example would be like, sometimes I'll joke about things and I'm like, "If I gave that joke

• 39:41Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:42Drew Afualo?

to a white straight guy doing stand-up, he'd have a special tomorrow."

• 39:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 39:46Drew Afualo?

He'd sell out Madison Square Garden.

• 39:47Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 39:48Drew Afualo?

Off my fucking joke. But if I tell it, it must be a deeper thing that I must believe because women just can't be funny.

• 39:56Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 39:56Drew Afualo?

Women can't just be funny, they also have to be like so tied to their empathy that everything I say and do is a reflection

• 40:02Speaker 01

  I'm exhausted.

• 40:03Drew Afualo?

of my deepest, darkest beliefs. Like, you know what I'm saying?

• 40:05Speaker 01

  A million percent.

• 40:06Drew Afualo?

Even if I tell you explicitly.

• 40:08Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 40:08Drew Afualo?

  So it can be frustrating.

• 40:09Speaker 01

  Yeah, oh, oh.

• 40:10Drew Afualo?

That's why the internet is, is terrible in a lot of ways.

• 40:13Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 40:13Drew Afualo?

  Because it's created that environment.

• 40:14Speaker 01

In the last like year, like, it's like, I'm getting the brick, and like, that's, that's not sponsored, I got the brick, to brick out, because I'm like, I need to just like, the comments don't even have to be negative, but that they're just like a little weird, you're like, "This is still throwing me off today."

• 40:28Drew Afualo?

Right, I agree. It's the same, yeah.

• 40:30Speaker 01

I read, I wish I could remember anything, like, people will always be like, "Oh, I read this article by so-and-so from this." I'm like, "I, I read this thing once, don't know where it was, don't know where it's from."

• 40:39Drew Afualo?

But I do know I read it.

• 40:40Speaker 01

But I do know, and it was like, the, about onion bagels, like, you could tweet like, "I love onion bagels," and someone will immediately be like, "And what about everything?" And even them, it's not even like necessarily they're like super negative, but it's like enough where you're like, well now I gotta argue about that. Or like now I'm in a bad place.

• 40:58Drew Afualo?

Well, they're like, I don't know, that just feels like really insensitive to do that because some people with celiac can't eat gluten and most bagels have gluten.

• 41:06Speaker 01

Yeah, then go to celiac Twitter. I don't know what to say.

• 41:12Drew Afualo?

Oh, it's just a joke about peanut butter and jelly. Like, that's literally why I was like, it was a joke about peanut butter and jelly and how I just don't like it.

• 41:18Speaker 01

No, actually yours was fucked up and you should be canceled.

• 41:22Drew Afualo?

I know, a lot of people are shocked to hear that I hate that sandwich combo, but it's true. I have since I was a kid.

• 41:27Speaker 01

I do like it, but you know what's crazy is I liked it even more when you would like make it and then it would like be in your locker for like two hours.

• 41:35Drew Afualo?

  And it's all soft.

• 41:36Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like warm. That's twisted, yeah. I liked it. I do like grape jelly too, which is like, I think not what you're supposed to like.

• 41:45Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I think a lot of people like strawberry.

• 41:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 41:48Drew Afualo?

  Too.

• 41:48Speaker 01

So whatever you guys like is what I like.

• 41:50Drew Afualo?

And also, and even like, they're like, you gotta try like, did you try crunchy peanut butter? Did you try sourdough? Bitch, I've tried it all. A sandwich of nightmare textures.

• 42:01Speaker 01

  No, it's just white bread.

• 42:02Drew Afualo?

I really just genuinely think it's nightmare textures combined and I think.

• 42:06Speaker 01

  Do you like soft?

• 42:08Drew Afualo?

I don't mind soft. It's just like gooey and gloopy and there's no meat in it. Like, I was like, there's no protein in it, there's no veggie, there's no nothing. Of all the sandwich combos in the world.

• 42:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 42:18Drew Afualo?

Like, you're telling me peanut butter and jelly sits on the same tier as like a French dip?

• 42:23Speaker 01

No, they're very, no, they're different.

• 42:25Drew Afualo?

That's my point though, that's what I'm saying. Like, if all the sandwich combos. There's no way. Like, if all, like, all of the choices, like, and every single person is like, oh, it's nostalgic. That's not what I'm talking about.

• 42:36Speaker 01

  No, we're talking about, yeah.

• 42:37Drew Afualo?

Take nostalgia off the table. I'm talking about whether it can hold its own.

• 42:40Speaker 01

If we go to the deli, but that has like, you know, yeah, like subs with turkey, Italian, whatever, and you're going, I'm gonna get the PB and J, I'm walking out, yeah.

• 42:49Drew Afualo?

  Exactly, my point.

• 42:51Speaker 01

If we're in your house and you're like, ooh, I wanna click, I'm hungry, I PB and J.

• 42:53Drew Afualo?

  That's fine.

• 42:54Speaker 01

But I understand. If you're, or if we're ordering and you're a kid, that's okay too.

• 42:58Drew Afualo?

Yeah, if you're a kid. Well, no, if you're a kid. Extra fuck you.

• 43:02Speaker 01

My niece is like, let me get the French dip. You're vegetarian babe. My niece is vegetarian, isn't that crazy?

• 43:08Drew Afualo?

  Really? By choice or?

• 43:09Speaker 01

No, uh, her, my brother and sister-in-law are vegetarian.

• 43:13Drew Afualo?

  Oh, good.

• 43:13Speaker 01

And they're kind of thing, which I think is cool is like they're like, our house is vegetarian. So at a certain age, she might be like, I want to try meat. Actually, she did try meat at her school. They gave her ham, um, on accident. But I think she's like, but she's very cute with that. She'll be like, I'm vegetarian. And I'm like, yeah, great.

• 43:30Drew Afualo?

  I love that about her.

• 43:31Speaker 01

  I know.

• 43:31Drew Afualo?

She gets something like a little quirk.

• 43:33Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 43:34Drew Afualo?

  Her first quirk.

• 43:35Speaker 01

Oh, I mean, they're already like.

• 43:36Drew Afualo?

  That she can recite.

• 43:37Speaker 01

My brothers live backyard to backyard.

• 43:39Drew Afualo?

  Oh, that's so nice.

• 43:41Speaker 01

Which is, your family lives very close.

• 43:42Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we all live like two minutes from each other.

• 43:44Speaker 01

Which is my dream. I would love to buy a house like on their block.

• 43:47Drew Afualo?

  I love that.

• 43:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 43:48Drew Afualo?

You're close to your family like us.

• 43:49Speaker 01

  Very close, yeah.

• 43:50Drew Afualo?

Are you in your, do you have two brothers or?

• 43:51Speaker 01

Two older brothers, Bart and Liam. Bart, Liam, Maggie, we're almost The Simpsons. I say this a lot. But Bart was born before The Simpsons came out, so we're family names, but it just happens to be Bart and Maggie.

• 44:03Drew Afualo?

  Interesting.

• 44:04Speaker 01

  So goofy.

• 44:04Drew Afualo?

  So they copied you guys?

• 44:05Speaker 01

  Yeah, they copied us.

• 44:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 44:06Speaker 01

They're, they're, yeah, they're like, we're very close. We're five and eight years apart. When I was younger, of course, I was like, I want a sister. I hate you guys. And now we're best friends. They're very funny. They're very, um, they're very like sweet boys, or it's good to have.

• 44:21Drew Afualo?

  That's funny.

• 44:22Speaker 01

I called my brother, I did call him violently straight at one point. In a sense that I never have questioned his sexuality.

• 44:28Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 44:29Speaker 01

I didn't mean toxically, I meant violently, and he was, he's still pissed every day. He's like, oh, I'm violently straight? And his, his son painted his nail. He goes, is this violently straight? I said, kinda.

• 44:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the fact that you're showing it to me, yes.

• 44:40Speaker 01

No, he's, they're, they're great, yeah. We, they directed my solo show and like we write stuff together.

• 44:45Drew Afualo?

  That's so awesome.

• 44:46Speaker 01

  They're cool.

• 44:47Drew Afualo?

That's so funny. Yours is, uh, your family's kind of the opposite of mine. Like ours is two older girls.

• 44:51Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 44:51Drew Afualo?

  Youngest boy.

• 44:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 44:52Drew Afualo?

So your parents wanted a girl? Or did they?

• 44:55Speaker 01

Uh, I think they, no, I think they did. I think they, they didn't know until I was born, and I was born on April Fool's Day. And I came out and the doctor was like, it's a girl. My mom was like, yeah, alright bitch, like it's a boy. And they were like, no, it's a girl. But then my mom called my grandpa and my grandpa told my brothers who he was watching that I was twin boys. So they were like, yes. And then I came home and they were like, fuck.

• 45:18Drew Afualo?

  They're like, that's a, that's actually a shitty April Fool's.

• 45:20Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 45:21Drew Afualo?

  This is a girl.

• 45:22Speaker 01

This is a girl, what the hell?

• 45:24Drew Afualo?

We had like, uh, my mom, my brother is, uh, nine years younger than me and 11 years younger than my sister.

• 45:29Speaker 01

  Okay, yeah.

• 45:30Drew Afualo?

So like quite a significant age gap too, but that was because my mom had the two of us unexpectedly.

• 45:34Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 45:35Drew Afualo?

And so my brother was planned, but my mom wanted a boy.

• 45:38Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 45:38Drew Afualo?

But my mom also didn't, like, she had no idea what, what the gender was, obviously at a certain point, but then like, she said, the night before she found out the gender, she had a dream that she was brushing my brother's hair. Like it was a boy and she was brushing his hair and he looked exactly like how he did when he was born. And this is obviously before she had him. And then she was like brushing his hair and she said she woke up crying and she goes, I know it's a boy, I know it is. And I know what he looks like. And it was true.

• 46:02Speaker 01

  I have goosebumps.

• 46:03Drew Afualo?

  Isn't that crazy?

• 46:04Speaker 01

  That is so sweet.

• 46:05Drew Afualo?

  Indigenous women intuition.

• 46:06Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 46:07Drew Afualo?

  See, I was like-

• 46:08Speaker 01

  She's like, I saw you.

• 46:08Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she was like, trust me, it's a boy. Like she was so convicted in it.

• 46:14Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 46:14Drew Afualo?

Like she was telling everyone, it's a boy.

• 46:16Speaker 01

That she saw him is like-

• 46:17Drew Afualo?

  I know, isn't that crazy?

• 46:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 46:18Drew Afualo?

And it's funny because she was like, no, it's a boy, even before she found out. Like she's like, it's a boy. I just know it is.

• 46:23Speaker 01

Oh my god. I love when people are so wrong when they're like, you're showing big, you're, it's a boy. And then it's like, no, it was a girl the whole time. The people that are just like, like with the old, yeah.

• 46:32Drew Afualo?

  The old wives tales.

• 46:33Speaker 01

  Like I flipped a corner, I, you're like, no, I don't know.

• 46:36Drew Afualo?

My brother was a big baby. Were you guys big babies?

• 46:38Speaker 01

Yeah, uh, I, I wasn't. Um, no, but my brothers were. I think I was like, seven pounds.

• 46:43Drew Afualo?

Oh nice. My sister was a tiny baby.

• 46:45Speaker 01

  And I still am, um.

• 46:47Drew Afualo?

  And now I'm seventeen pounds.

• 46:50Speaker 01

  Your brother was big?

• 46:51Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and I was big. So like my mom, the smallest baby was my sister who was the oldest.

• 46:55Speaker 01

  Congrats.

• 46:55Drew Afualo?

So she was like, congrats. Uh, she was I think like eight pounds or something real normal.

• 46:59Speaker 01

  But you're the oldest?

• 47:00Drew Afualo?

  Yeah. Can you believe?

• 47:02Speaker 01

That's okay. And I'm saying this, and this is exactly how my brothers are. My older brother is shorter than the middle one.

• 47:08Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 47:08Speaker 01

People are always like, well, you're clearly the older one. And he's like, because I'm taller? No.

• 47:11Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, me too.

• 47:12Speaker 01

And I just said that to you guys.

• 47:13Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 47:13Speaker 01

That's so fucked up. That's really, I'm sorry.

• 47:15Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that's your prejudice. Work on it.

• 47:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah.

• 47:18Drew Afualo?

So we, uh, I remember like, she was like eight pounds, I was almost ten, so I was nine pounds, twelve ounces.

• 47:25Speaker 01

And I was like twenty- Your mom is such a little, it's, that's so amazing.

• 47:28Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she's so tiny. And I was like, um, twenty-two inches long or something, I was long as fuck. So they knew I was gonna be tall. And then my brother was ten pounds, twelve ounces, so my brother was almost eleven.

• 47:37Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 47:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so he was a big ass baby.

• 47:40Speaker 01

Yeah, I don't remember what my brother's weights were, but I know they were big, and my mom was like-

• 47:44Drew Afualo?

Well, especially your brother was six, seven, I'm sure.

• 47:46Speaker 01

She'll remind them, she'll be like, "I gave birth to you and you were huge." And they're like, "Okay."

• 47:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, my man was like, I think, almost twelve pounds when my man was born, so like, he's a big ass baby. And it was funny, cause when I look at like, baby pictures of my man, like, when he was like, three, he's like, the size of an eight-year-old, like- And he's like, he's always dressed like a dad, because those are the only clothes she could get to fit him, like, they were like, small children clothes, but- He was dressed like an old man, like, he was wearing like, button downs.

• 48:14Speaker 01

He's in the deli ordering the french dip at eight.

• 48:16Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he's getting a french dip. Yeah, if he ordered a french dip at the table, it would make sense. Cause he was the, he was the biggest baby I've ever seen. Like, large ass baby.

• 48:26Speaker 01

You don't wanna have kids, right?

• 48:27Drew Afualo?

  No.

• 48:28Speaker 01

  Me neither.

• 48:28Drew Afualo?

Yeah, look at you. And you're, both your brothers had kids?

• 48:30Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 48:31Drew Afualo?

  Okay, so that's nice.

• 48:32Speaker 01

I'm Lucky Duck, yeah. I love him so much.

• 48:33Drew Afualo?

I know, my sister's on the fence, and she is a lesbian, and my brother is straight, but I think he wants to be dad, so I was like, "Put your eggs in his basket."

• 48:41Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, let's go, yeah.

• 48:42Drew Afualo?

I found out pretty quick, I was, as like, an adult, that I didn't wanna have kids. But I do wanna be an aunt, like you hearing about nieces and nephews.

• 48:49Speaker 01

It's the best life. I want, I always, like, I wanna be a fabulous aunt, which I think I'm getting there, where I just like, come in, I'm like, "I was in Paris, I got you guys this," and they're like, "Ah!"

• 48:56Drew Afualo?

No, literally, I said, "I wanna be a rich aunt," like, that's what I was saying. I know Caleb wants kids, so I'm like, "Perfect, perfect." Yeah. I mean, I was like, my other friends, uh, I know they want kids, so I'm like, "Perfect."

• 49:07Speaker 01

  Perfect, yeah.

• 49:08Drew Afualo?

I'm gonna be the best godmother.

• 49:09Speaker 01

I have like, a good group of friends from grade school and high school.

• 49:11Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 49:12Speaker 01

And they're all having kids now, and I'm, yeah, I'm Gaga, that's what my-

• 49:16Drew Afualo?

  Cute.

• 49:16Speaker 01

I was supposed to be Gigi, like Maggie, but my niece goes Gaga, I go, "Awesome to hear."

• 49:22Drew Afualo?

  Whatever you want, queen.

• 49:23Speaker 01

Yeah, whatever you want. And they- They're all so sweet, but at the same time, when we leave and everyone's like, oh, I have to go home and do bath time, I'm like, I get to go home and watch Pluribus.

• 49:34Speaker 01

That felt like such an advert, like, watch Pluribus on Apple TV. My brothers too, like, if we ever have a weekend as a family and I get to, like, go home and, like, lay, they're like, oh, my god, like, yeah, I'm picking this.

• 49:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, no, for real. I, I, my, I have two, we have two dogs. We have two Frenchies.

• 49:51Speaker 01

I want a dog badly. I also love cats.

• 49:54Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 49:55Speaker 01

  I'm allergic.

• 49:56Drew Afualo?

Oh, damn. But I love dog, I love dogs and cats, but I just think dogs, like, are kind of more what I need. Cause I know cats are very independent, which is great, but I need something to need me. Like, I was like, I need so desperately for something to need me. So, like, I love, uh, having dogs, and so, like, we have two Frenchies. And so, they are very cute and they are very, I'll show you a picture right now.

• 50:17Speaker 01

  Love to see.

• 50:18Drew Afualo?

  This is them.

• 50:19Speaker 01

  Stop. What are their names?

• 50:20Drew Afualo?

This is Squid and this is Tuna.

• 50:23Speaker 01

  Squid and Tuna?

• 50:26Drew Afualo?

  Isn't that so cute?

• 50:27Speaker 01

I, Squid especially. Get over here, Squid.

• 50:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like, you should hear me in the mornings, like, taking them, I'm like, Squid, oh, get over here.

• 50:35Speaker 01

And do you call them, like, ten different names?

• 50:37Drew Afualo?

  Yes, of course.

• 50:38Speaker 01

Everyone who has a dog to me is always like, cuckoo-licoo. I'm like, the dog's name's Henry, like.

• 50:43Drew Afualo?

Daisy has a cat named Henry. She actually has two cats named YB and Henry.

• 50:48Speaker 01

Oh, YB from Coraline? Making up, I love Coraline.

• 50:52Drew Afualo?

And she hates Henry's name, but that is unfortunately his name. And that's because her ex named it. She goes, that's why that name is stupid. Cause she always says stupid ass name.

• 51:02Speaker 01

  Oh, my god.

• 51:02Drew Afualo?

Every time Squid's a, a crowd pleaser, every time I tell people my dog's name is Squid, they're like, oh, my god, that's such a good name. I can't, which is funny, cause I came up with Squid and my man came up with Tuna. So, it really worked out. We were sitting, yeah.

• 51:15Speaker 01

We had a cat growing up, which is crazy. And her name was Smoochy.

• 51:22Speaker 01

Which, everyone was like, it should have been Snowball, like the Simpsons, cause it's an all-black cat, and I was like, my mom went with Smoochy. Would she get, it was so funny. And then when she passed away, I like came back and I was like, I want to get another cat. And they got an allergy test and they're like, the doctor was like, you're very allergic to cats. And I got upset and she's like, okay, it's okay. Get a small dog. I go, I was like, get me the hell out of here. A small dog? That's, that's very different. But you're right. Like, I think if, whenever I have like a house and I want a dog that I can like, come home and they're like, yes.

• 51:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, that is true. Cats are just so independent and I, and I had a cat growing up. I had a cat for like over 10 years.

• 51:59Speaker 01

  What was their name?

• 51:59Drew Afualo?

  His name was Dexter.

• 52:01Speaker 01

  Dexter.

• 52:01Drew Afualo?

But my mom has this weird thing about D names. So like all of me and my siblings have the same exact initials. So we're all DTA, all of us. And all of our animals we had as pets, like we had quite a few pets growing up. Um, all dogs and cats for the most part, but we did have a bird at one point. My brother had a lizard at one point, like very weird.

• 52:19Speaker 01

My brother, all brothers have a lizard.

• 52:21Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we had a lot of like.

• 52:22Speaker 01

That dies under the lamp or something. You're like, what happened?

• 52:25Drew Afualo?

And then they're like, I think it's still in there. Like they haven't been checking on it like at all. And like, uh, we, I got the cat for my birthday, which I like, was like cool with, but I was kind of hoping for a dog. But obviously I was a child, so I can't take care of the dog. But we did have a snow dog at one point. We had an English bulldog. We had two English bulldogs, but one of them we found wandering. It was very strange, but like, my cat I had for a long ass time and I feel like he looked at me like a fat landlord. Like I was really like nothing. He was almost purely an outdoor cat, which I know, knock it off, I was 12. Like, don't start with me about this, like cats should not be outdoors. I know that. I didn't know that obviously at the time.

• 53:03Speaker 01

My cat was half outdoor. It would, it would.

• 53:04Drew Afualo?

He was like in and out.

• 53:05Speaker 01

It would scratch at the doors. He'd let me out.

• 53:07Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And he, and he was prowling the neighborhood for all I knew, right? But he was fixed. My, my cat was fixed.

• 53:12Speaker 01

You just go in the yard.

• 53:13Drew Afualo?

Oh no, mine liked to walk the neighborhood, but he always came back and he would come inside.

• 53:17Speaker 01

  He knew where home was.

• 53:18Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he knew, he knows where homes at.

• 53:19Speaker 01

  Aristocat?

• 53:20Drew Afualo?

And his name was Dexter. And he did get ran over in my cul-de-sac. After like having him. And I remember feeling so devastated when I found out because, um, you know, there's always like one lady in the neighborhood that's like neighborhood watch. Like she's, she doesn't have a job, but she knows everything that's going on. So she's the one who brought my cat's body to my house. But I remember like when my mom told me the news. I remember being like super upset, even though I did love him, but like we did have a very strained relationship me and him like. We didn't spend a ton of time. I really wanted him to cuddle with me. I wanted to relate with me. He just hated that. Like he never wanted to do that. And then morning that he got ran over, I walked outside to go feed him like to out there and like.

• 54:05Drew Afualo?

He had, I had stepped on something squishy and I was like, what the fuck?

• 54:08Speaker 01

  No, no, no.

• 54:08Drew Afualo?

And then when I turned on the light, it was a dead bird and it was all bloody and it was all over my foot and I was so disgusted. I gagged and I had to pick it up and throw it away. And then I was yelling. At him and I was like, why would you do that? Even though I know it was like a gift.

• 54:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:19Drew Afualo?

But I was like, why would you do that? Like it's all over me now. And he just ate his food and fucked off. He didn't care. And then, then like. He got ran over and then I couldn't stop crying because I really was like, I, the last thing I said to him was to not bring me that bird.

• 54:31Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 54:32Drew Afualo?

So I had so much guilt in my heart when I was like 10. Because I was so like, oh my god.

• 54:36Speaker 01

  It's a life lesson.

• 54:37Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, we had a fight.

• 54:38Speaker 01

You never, you never know. It's the last time.

• 54:41Drew Afualo?

Yeah. And he was a Siamese cat, so he was real pretty.

• 54:43Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 54:44Drew Afualo?

  He was a pretty cat.

• 54:44Speaker 01

Smoochy would, she would sleep like right here. But then she was like, sometimes I want to pick her up. She'd be like, not now. She also brought me a bird at one point. So then we had to get her a collar with a little bell because she was trying to get the bird. She's like, we don't want, we don't need that.

• 54:58Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 54:58Speaker 01

I remember when she died, I was like 22 and it's a weird thing when you're like, you're like upset and then your friends are like, what's wrong? Like my cat died. And they're like, yeah, okay. Um. You know what I mean? Like you're like, no, this is my thing, my animal.

• 55:08Drew Afualo?

It feels very serious, but also unserious to other people.

• 55:11Speaker 01

Yes. You're like, come take a shot. You're like, okay. And I wasn't home. I was at college of all places.

• 55:18Drew Afualo?

Yeah. What, what kind of dog would you want?

• 55:20Speaker 01

  I, ooh, definitely obviously a rescue. What if I was like, I want to make a little, um. I, I don't know. A mutt? I don't care.

• 55:29Drew Afualo?

  Yeah. Do you want?

• 55:29Speaker 01

I love Frenchies. They're so cute.

• 55:31Drew Afualo?

I more so meant like big or small, medium?

• 55:32Speaker 01

Um, no, I knew, no, no. Probably medium.

• 55:36Drew Afualo?

No, I do know what ki- I was asking what kind, but you said foster, so like, or to adopt.

• 55:40Speaker 01

You said what kind and I panicked, I won't lie. I do love Frenchies, I do, I love them, like, not like wiener dogs, but then they're like a mix and then they're like a little bit bigger.

• 55:48Drew Afualo?

Oh yeah, I totally, I totally know what you mean. Kind of like terrier mix, like, they look like weenie dogs but not.

• 55:54Speaker 01

You know that creator, and we can cut this, Abby?

• 55:58Drew Afualo?

Oh, yes, yes, I do know her, yeah.

• 55:59Speaker 01

Well, just in case and you were like, don't. She has the cutest little dog.

• 56:03Drew Afualo?

  Her little weenie dog?

• 56:04Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 56:04Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she's right. Her name, her dog's name's Lady.

• 56:06Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 56:07Drew Afualo?

  Real fucking cute.

• 56:08Speaker 01

Her life, I'm jealous, I was like, and her like, single girl, New York apartment, she comes for her dog, and I'm like, in my parents attic, like, yeah, one day, I'll be there.

• 56:16Drew Afualo?

Pinning to your vision board. Love that. No, I do love a little dog, like, that's why, like, my dogs are right.

• 56:22Speaker 01

  Dog, but, yeah.

• 56:23Drew Afualo?

Not a rat dog, but like, a medium to small. I get what you mean. That's what the Frenchies are, size wise.

• 56:29Speaker 01

  Oh, Frenchies are so cute.

• 56:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we fostered my tuna, because tuna is deaf, so like, he's completely deaf, but Squid is not.

• 56:36Speaker 01

So you have to be like tuna?

• 56:37Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we have to, we have certain signals, like, for him, like, to sit and stuff. Shockingly, but maybe not, he was really easy to train when it came to eating, because that's all he gives a fuck about. Like, breakfast especially is like, his favorite meal of the day, like, he wakes up like, oh my god, I get to have breakfast today, like.

• 56:56Speaker 01

  Kind of me too.

• 56:58Drew Afualo?

  He's kind of real.

• 56:59Speaker 01

Me and Tuna are doing the same thing.

• 57:02Drew Afualo?

  Waking up excited to eat.

• 57:05Drew Afualo?

But he is like, 100% deaf, so like, it is very sweet, he's everybody's favorite dog when he comes over, because Squid, I love Squid. Squid's very excitable, like, he's never mean, never aggressive, he's just like, very excitable. And he does have alopecia, so I think that does work against him.

• 57:22Speaker 01

  So will he be bald?

• 57:23Drew Afualo?

I, he's balding right now, but only on the back of his like, butt, but then it grew, it was balding on both sides, and then it grew back in almost completely on one side, and then the other side's getting bigger, I- Really have no idea.

• 57:35Speaker 01

  Whatever, yeah.

• 57:36Drew Afualo?

And anytime I take them to the vet, which is always, obviously, because they're Frenchies. They're always like, ah, I mean, sometimes they do that. Like, they're really unhelpful in a lot of ways. But what I was gonna say about my tuna, like tuna, my Frenchy, he recently, we get them fixed, and then obviously, I also get them this like soft palate surgery, like they basically open their nose and cut down their soft palate.

• 57:58Speaker 01

That's what I've heard, they can't really breathe well, right?

• 57:59Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so I, I got them both the same surgery.

• 58:01Speaker 01

Damn, I can't breathe either, I'm a Frenchy, as the person.

• 58:04Drew Afualo?

You're starting to really relate to my Frenchies.

• 58:06Speaker 01

Yeah, I come over, I'm like laying with them, and you're like, and I never leave.

• 58:12Drew Afualo?

  You become our third Frenchy?

• 58:13Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 58:14Drew Afualo?

  That would be crazy.

• 58:15Speaker 01

  What would you name me?

• 58:16Drew Afualo?

I don't, we were thinking about jellyfish, if we got a third one.

• 58:19Speaker 01

  That's me.

• 58:20Drew Afualo?

That's so you. So, we, when we got tuna the surgery recently, he was doing great, but like, um, because he is deaf, he obviously relies on sight a ton, so he was on eight medications, because a lot of them were sedatives, because he's too excitable.

• 58:37Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 58:38Drew Afualo?

Because he's, he can't hear, so when there's a lot going on, or he has a cone on or something, it's very overstimulating for him. So he had to be on a lot of sedatives. My point being, he started just pooping himself, just randomly.

• 58:48Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 58:49Drew Afualo?

So I had to get doggy diapers, right, so he stopped rubbing poop on everything. And it was a torturous two or three days for a while, like it was constantly changing the diaper.

• 58:58Speaker 01

  That's baby.

• 58:59Drew Afualo?

Checking his, right. My point being, we've already decided we don't want children, we just decided a long time ago. Shit like that, literally and metaphorically speaking. I was like, you know what, that, yeah, now I, I know for a fact that life's not for me.

• 59:13Speaker 01

  No.

• 59:14Drew Afualo?

No fucking way. Like, uh, he was rubbing shit on everything.

• 59:17Speaker 01

And when you watch the people that it is for them, I like watch them, I'm like, I don't have that.

• 59:22Drew Afualo?

Me, yes, I agree. I'm like, you guys, you have a superpower.

• 59:25Speaker 01

Their children's shit, and they're like, I love my life, and you're like, ah, like, you know what I mean? But like, my friends who are mothers, who like, I just like, watch them, I'm like, so amazed.

• 59:33Drew Afualo?

No, me too, I'm like, you have a superpower that I do not have.

• 59:36Speaker 01

  I don't have it.

• 59:36Drew Afualo?

Yeah, you have a superpower that I do not have at all. Even my mom.

• 59:39Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 59:40Drew Afualo?

Like, my mom is so gro- not gross, like, has the ability to not. Not be grossed out by anything. I don't have that.

• 59:47Speaker 01

No, I don't have that. We will cater the event when we all hang out with the kids. That's what our job will be.

• 59:52Drew Afualo?

Exactly. I'm gonna get the best Christmas presents, like birthday presents. I'll get them like, you know, I'll do like fun stuff.

• 1:00:00Speaker 01

  I'll make up a holiday.

• 1:00:01Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they'll, they'll come to you with their problems and you'll be like, you should tell your mom, that's important.

• 1:00:06Speaker 01

I already have so much advice I wanna give them, yeah. I'm like, ready to be like.

• 1:00:09Drew Afualo?

  You're, you're ready to start.

• 1:00:10Speaker 01

You don't have to be the drunkest at the party when you're twenty or a younger. I started drinking at sixteen.

• 1:00:14Drew Afualo?

  Oh, tay.

• 1:00:15Speaker 01

So I'm like, but I'm like, you don't wanna be the one, whatever. This is, we'll get to it later. Meaning me and my nephew and nieces, like.

• 1:00:22Drew Afualo?

  You'll address it.

• 1:00:22Speaker 01

Have one beer, you don't have to be like, oh, yeah.

• 1:00:24Drew Afualo?

It's true. You got a lot of sage wisdom to pass off to them.

• 1:00:27Speaker 01

  I'm ready.

• 1:00:28Drew Afualo?

I know, I agree. And speaking of sage, but maybe not wisdom. I do have some fun facts about you.

• 1:00:34Speaker 01

Oh, I, I knew this was coming. I'm a little nervous.

• 1:00:37Drew Afualo?

The fun facts are here. And these ones were done by Laura this time. And that's for the fans to know because Amanda is on probation sometimes.

• 1:00:47Speaker 01

  Because they're not.

• 1:00:48Drew Afualo?

No, Amanda is really good at finding facts, but sometimes people go, that's not true. And I go, Amanda? Strike one. Okay, so these ones were done by Laura this time. But, okay, first fun fact.

• 1:01:00Drew Afualo?

It's, this one says, you were the first girl born in eighty years on your dad's side?

• 1:01:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:01:07Drew Afualo?

And you were born on April Fool's Day?

• 1:01:09Speaker 01

  Yes, so my aunt.

• 1:01:10Drew Afualo?

  That's crazy.

• 1:01:11Speaker 01

It was my Aunt Mary and then my dad and uncle's, they had like, my aunt had six boys. My mom had two boys. And then I, they were just like, we're gonna have boys forever. And then I was born on April Fool's Day, so they were like, what the hell?

• 1:01:23Drew Afualo?

  That's crazy.

• 1:01:24Speaker 01

I broke the curse. And I was like the little baby angel girl for a while.

• 1:01:28Drew Afualo?

  It ends with you.

• 1:01:29Speaker 01

Yeah, it ends, it ends with me. And then eventually my other uncle had a, my girl cousin Grace, so it was like.

• 1:01:35Drew Afualo?

  Interesting.

• 1:01:36Speaker 01

  But yeah, isn't that wild?

• 1:01:37Drew Afualo?

And it's even funnier that you chose not to have kids.

• 1:01:39Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:01:39Drew Afualo?

That's even funnier. Girl, no, I completed the prophecy by being born.

• 1:01:43Speaker 01

I know, but then my brother had a girl, so.

• 1:01:45Drew Afualo?

Oh, tay, okay. There you go, that's good.

• 1:01:47Speaker 01

  Winnie Winters, my favorite name.

• 1:01:49Drew Afualo?

  Oh, cute.

• 1:01:50Speaker 01

  I know, it's crazy.

• 1:01:51Drew Afualo?

The name Winnie for a baby is so cute.

• 1:01:53Speaker 01

Our, my great grandma was Winifred, so they were like, Winnie Winters.

• 1:01:56Drew Afualo?

That is so fucking cute. I love an old lady name.

• 1:01:59Speaker 01

Yeah, oh, my, my full name is Marguerite Eleanor Winters.

• 1:02:03Drew Afualo?

  Love that though.

• 1:02:03Speaker 01

  You're like, she's about to die. I'm like, no, I'm only thirty-five.

• 1:02:06Drew Afualo?

I love that though. Okay, it says, your dad is obsessed with beans and really wants you to also like beans.

• 1:02:14Speaker 01

  Yes, so.

• 1:02:15Drew Afualo?

He makes a sixteen bean soup?

• 1:02:18Speaker 01

Yeah, that's one of my stand-up jokes. Good, good job. Um, that's correct. My dad, and kind of my whole family now, like, I just don't like beans. I never have. And I think they like.

• 1:02:27Drew Afualo?

  Any kind?

• 1:02:28Speaker 01

No. The most refried, I say, I can maybe fuck with.

• 1:02:33Drew Afualo?

You can, you can stomach a refried bean soup?

• 1:02:35Speaker 01

I just don't like, it's just the texture thing. I just, I'm not into it. And they, it drives my dad, he's like, beans are good for you. They are the, you have to eat beans in your life. And I'm like, I'm, I just don't want to. And he's like, he, he, he's, yeah. And then for Christmas, my brother trolled me and got me a, um, the, roll that beautiful bean footage t-shirt. You know, um, what's, Bu- Bush's Big Beans?

• 1:02:58Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:58Speaker 01

I'm wearing it every day. It's the comfiest shirt. And people are like, beans? I'm like, I don't like them, but.

• 1:03:02Drew Afualo?

I'm wearing it and it is ironic that I'm wearing it. And you wouldn't know that about me.

• 1:03:06Speaker 01

  Do you like beans?

• 1:03:07Drew Afualo?

I like beans, yeah. I don't mind them.

• 1:03:09Speaker 01

  Most people are like, absolutely.

• 1:03:10Drew Afualo?

I'm not like a bean freak.

• 1:03:12Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:03:12Drew Afualo?

  But I do like beans.

• 1:03:13Speaker 01

If you're vegan, you have to kind of be a bean freak.

• 1:03:15Drew Afualo?

That's true, because my sister was vegan for a long time. I wish she was in here, because one of the things we've made up on our.

• 1:03:20Speaker 01

What's funny is she was, I was like, she, oh.

• 1:03:23Drew Afualo?

  She just grew up.

• 1:03:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:24Drew Afualo?

Yeah. She, on our show together, we've talked about, like, one time, I was like, well, you love beans.

• 1:03:31Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:31Drew Afualo?

And then she was like, why are you saying it like that? And I was like, you are obs- you are obsessed with beans.

• 1:03:36Speaker 01

You're nasty with the beans, yeah.

• 1:03:37Drew Afualo?

And it's because she was vegan for a long time, so she was like, always fucking eating beans, like.

• 1:03:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:42Drew Afualo?

Of any variety, really. But she was like, really fucking with it. I do love a bean salad.

• 1:03:47Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:03:47Drew Afualo?

I've had a bean salad before and it's really yummy.

• 1:03:49Speaker 01

  I'm scared.

• 1:03:50Drew Afualo?

You're just not fucking with it.

• 1:03:51Speaker 01

  I'm not fucking with it.

• 1:03:52Drew Afualo?

It's funny that your dad gets so mad to the point where he's like sputtering about you just not liking.

• 1:03:56Speaker 01

Like, it's like, almost like to him, it's like, liking beans and brushing your teeth, you have to do both. You have to do both. And he, he makes so much, I mean, him and my mom are vegetarian. Well, he wouldn't say he's a vegetarian, but he eats very vegetarian, because she's vegetarian.

• 1:04:09Drew Afualo?

  Okay.

• 1:04:10Speaker 01

Um, which she said God told her like five years ago, she was like, to be vegetarian. That's in a different podcast. Um, that's a whole different podcast. And they like make a ton of beans and I'm like, can you get me a rotisserie chicken?

• 1:04:21Drew Afualo?

That's even funnier that your mom's only vegetarian because of God.

• 1:04:26Speaker 01

  Well, she like told she

• 1:04:27Drew Afualo?

  That's funny.

• 1:04:28Speaker 01

She said in a dream like God told her to be vegetarian. I, I, I

• 1:04:32Drew Afualo?

  I mean, I believe you.

• 1:04:32Speaker 01

She also told me, because I think she was scared to tell me that part, that she like would listen to an NPR thing and then, I don't know, either way, she's a vegetarian and all my love. Half my family is, the other half were crazy for me and it's hard.

• 1:04:47Drew Afualo?

I really do find that shocking that your family is from Chicago and vegetarians.

• 1:04:51Speaker 01

  Well, yeah.

• 1:04:52Drew Afualo?

  Sounds like an oxymoron.

• 1:04:53Speaker 01

Me, it is, like, I'm kinda like, we gotta go, my dad will eat meat every once in a while and then he'll be like, I can't have meat for another six months. I'm like, yes, you can. I'm eating chicken every day. And I understand, guys, like, there's problems with, like, the meat industry. I, I, I have a family that tells me enough, okay?

• 1:05:12Speaker 01

I'm trying to eat the good stuff, but then sometimes I'm, yeah, Taco, Taco Bell's a good one because they have so many bean things. You know what I mean?

• 1:05:20Drew Afualo?

Your dad hates Taco Bell, though.

• 1:05:21Speaker 01

I know, I told you that.

• 1:05:21Drew Afualo?

But I mean, like, by like my brothers. I just find that ironic, your dad hates Taco Bell, but

• 1:05:26Speaker 01

  Cause he'll make his own.

• 1:05:27Drew Afualo?

They do have a lot of bean options there.

• 1:05:28Speaker 01

He eats like a bird. That's overall not my thing.

• 1:05:32Drew Afualo?

  That's

• 1:05:33Speaker 01

I'm not eating like a bird ever and he's always like, oh, I'll just have a little hummus. I'm like, ugh. I all eat hummus. I do like hummus. Chickpeas. I like chickpeas.

• 1:05:41Drew Afualo?

I like hummus, but I do need a chip to eat it with or something.

• 1:05:44Speaker 01

Of course. Oh, he's having that like on top. You think he's scooping it?

• 1:05:47Drew Afualo?

  No, I'd like dip.

• 1:05:49Speaker 01

I walk into my dad's like a spoon.

• 1:05:51Drew Afualo?

Like peanut butter on a spoon?

• 1:05:53Speaker 01

He eats peanut butter and jelly a lot. Vegetarian.

• 1:05:55Drew Afualo?

Wow, yeah. And if you think about it too, like, sometimes there's a lot of things that are like, oh, like Oreos are vegan.

• 1:06:02Speaker 01

  Amazingness.

• 1:06:03Drew Afualo?

  You know what I mean?

• 1:06:03Speaker 01

  For who? I don't know.

• 1:06:04Drew Afualo?

For, yeah, like, they're like vegan vegetarian. My point being like, you're like, oh, that's naturally healthier is what you think.

• 1:06:11Speaker 01

  That's not.

• 1:06:11Drew Afualo?

But then you think about like an Oreo is vegan and that's, you know.

• 1:06:15Speaker 01

Well, my parents eat so much, and I'm not like, I'm not saying carbs are bad. I get scared and I'm like, don't come at me. But, um, they eat tons of pasta, pizza, you know what I mean?

• 1:06:25Drew Afualo?

  Love that.

• 1:06:26Speaker 01

  It's amazing.

• 1:06:26Drew Afualo?

At the very least, you have that.

• 1:06:28Speaker 01

My dad's also getting the bread that's like Straight up seat, like birds are like trying to get at it. You know what I mean? Like it's so heavy, crungy. You're like, what's going on here?

• 1:06:36Drew Afualo?

  What is this?

• 1:06:37Speaker 01

  He's a healthy guy.

• 1:06:38Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I can't, I can't relate to that feeling.

• 1:06:41Speaker 01

Except for Kerrygold, he slathers that stuff like this thick.

• 1:06:44Drew Afualo?

  I do love Kerrygold butter.

• 1:06:46Speaker 01

I DM'd them this last year and I said, "Put me in the butter club now." And they did.

• 1:06:52Drew Afualo?

  They did.

• 1:06:52Speaker 01

I was like, "You just have to threaten brands. Put me in the butter club now. I have 40,000 followers now."

• 1:06:57Drew Afualo?

  That's really good to know.

• 1:06:59Speaker 01

  So much cool stuff.

• 1:07:00Drew Afualo?

  Holy shit.

• 1:07:01Speaker 01

Put her in the butter club?

• 1:07:02Drew Afualo?

It's so funny because I'm gonna leave here and do that.

• 1:07:04Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:07:05Drew Afualo?

  I actually love Kerrygold.

• 1:07:07Speaker 01

It's, oh, and like the swag they sent was the best swag I've ever gotten. And then they sent me a whole nother package of butter and cheese.

• 1:07:18Speaker 03

Welcome to 215 Maple Drive. We just put this property on the market.

• 1:07:24Speaker 04

  Love the crown molding.

• 1:07:25Speaker 03

Oh, wait until you see the walk-in closets and the bathroom tile.

• 1:07:29Speaker 04

Does it have Verizon FiOS? You know, 100% fiber internet?

• 1:07:33Speaker 03

No FiOS, but it looks like it's got cable. Let's check out the kitchen.

• 1:07:36Speaker 04

No FiOS? Yeah, no thank you.

• 1:07:40Speaker 03

Don't you want to see the rest? Okay, bye-bye.

• 1:07:42Speaker 05

Get Verizon FiOS because when you're moving, it's 100% or nothing.

• 1:08:20Drew Afualo?

  That's my dream.

• 1:08:21Speaker 01

  Yeah, make demands.

• 1:08:22Drew Afualo?

  Ask for what you want.

• 1:08:23Speaker 01

  2026?

• 1:08:24Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Yeah, closed mouths don't get fed.

• 1:08:26Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:08:27Drew Afualo?

If you want Kerrygold, you go ask for Kerrygold. You go straight to Kerrygold if you want it. I was, I was talking about this with Caleb, um, because this is something my family and I joked about, but like... You, I think you're... Yeah loosely familiar.

• 1:08:41Speaker 01

He's he's coming up and I'm really proud of him.

• 1:08:43Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he's yeah, good luck to him. I hope he makes it one day.

• 1:08:46Speaker 01

Oh, I wish I could share a stop. I just am not really into it.

• 1:08:49Drew Afualo?

Yeah, well, yeah, that's because of how he votes.

• 1:08:56Drew Afualo?

We were joking about this in Ireland, but I was telling him like a real like big bitch meal like. Like my favorite kind of meal where I'm like eating like an asshole.

• 1:09:06Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:09:06Drew Afualo?

Right? And and like my best example is um Costco like.

• 1:09:11Speaker 01

  Love Costco.

• 1:09:12Drew Afualo?

I used to eat at Costco. I couldn't do it now because I would shit myself, but like. Uh there was a time where I was trained, like almost training like a competitive eater.

• 1:09:21Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:09:21Drew Afualo?

Eating there because my man and I would literally get a chicken bake each.

• 1:09:26Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:09:27Drew Afualo?

And you know how big they are.

• 1:09:28Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:09:28Drew Afualo?

So we get chicken bake each, house it, kill it. But we would also get, I would get a soft pretzel, like a big pretzel. He would get a hot dog, kill that too. Obviously, I'd have a large soda, finish that.

• 1:09:40Speaker 01

  Haven't had lunch yet.

• 1:09:41Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and then and then like two hours later, we would be like Popeyes for dinner? Yeah, and then we would eat Popeyes.

• 1:09:49Speaker 01

  I. So I get it. Seen a video of like keto people that were like. I'm scared to even say it. They'd be like, come to come to Costco and get a keto meal. They would take a hot dog out of the bun. Put it on the pizza, wrap it in the cheese, take it off the like crust and eat it. And I said, I have to call, I have to put on my Mickey Mouse Blue Lives Matter and call the police because this is very scary.

• 1:10:14Drew Afualo?

Grosser than just eating both things individually.

• 1:10:17Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 1:10:17Drew Afualo?

  That's like way grosser.

• 1:10:18Speaker 01

And they were like, look at this amazing idea.

• 1:10:22Drew Afualo?

Wrap it in the cheese like cotton candy?

• 1:10:26Speaker 01

And also it's like, I understand fucked up foods, of course, like do that at home. Or bring it home and pretend you're eating it normal and then and don't post a video on the internet.

• 1:10:34Drew Afualo?

Yeah, like don't go in public.

• 1:10:36Speaker 01

I've ate crazy shit. When I was in college, I was eating some of the craziest shit.

• 1:10:40Drew Afualo?

Me too, but I wasn't, it was never like that.

• 1:10:43Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:10:43Drew Afualo?

It was in a real, it was in a real like I I I don't care about.

• 1:10:47Speaker 01

  Broke and I don't.

• 1:10:48Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:10:49Speaker 01

I want to have. Food before I go out.

• 1:10:50Drew Afualo?

And I'm starving and I'm it was like death row meal like that's how I was eating was like ten thousand calories a sitting.

• 1:10:56Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:10:57Drew Afualo?

I was like really trying to hit that number. It was almost like I was trying to hit a quota at one point how I was eating.

• 1:11:01Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:11:02Drew Afualo?

But that type of shit is like avoiding carbs, which I think is like.

• 1:11:05Speaker 01

Oh yeah, they're like we're keto.

• 1:11:06Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, which is stupid.

• 1:11:08Speaker 01

  Or yeah, whatever.

• 1:11:08Drew Afualo?

Like that's almond mom likes two steps. It's like a new wave of almond mom.

• 1:11:12Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:11:12Drew Afualo?

  The keto moms.

• 1:11:14Speaker 01

But and I just love that they're like, this is our little fucked up. And I was like watching the video like. You said this in one of your podcasts, this is like a totally different thought, but that you watch um a certain TV show or like or like the mommy bloggers because it's not your life.

• 1:11:26Drew Afualo?

  Yes.

• 1:11:26Speaker 01

And I watch a lot of yeah, I watch a lot of shows. That are like, like I think I watched the Kardashians because I'm like, this will never be my life. So it's so interesting to me that they're so rich and I love watching it.

• 1:11:37Drew Afualo?

It's anthropology, really. Cultural anthropology studying it.

• 1:11:40Speaker 01

  I'm like, this is amazing.

• 1:11:41Drew Afualo?

It is. That is how I feel about mommy bloggers. Like I see them all the time. And when I see those little like spend the morning with me as a mom of four.

• 1:11:49Speaker 01

  I'm obsessed.

• 1:11:49Drew Afualo?

  I love it.

• 1:11:50Speaker 01

  Any video.

• 1:11:51Drew Afualo?

Especially when they're moms, like when they have a fuck ton of kids, like I'm like. Yeah, I'm watching this five minute vlog.

• 1:11:57Speaker 01

Yes, that's why I think if it's a comedian being like come with me to a show, I'd be like, I'm already doing that.

• 1:12:01Drew Afualo?

Well, you know what's funny is I talked about this. Her name is Courtney, but she's the girl who eats the sweet potato with the big ass block of cheese in it. So I talked about her. I was calling her the plowman's lunch lady because she used to be like, have a plowman's lunch. And I talked about it on this fucking show.

• 1:12:16Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:12:16Drew Afualo?

Like midway last year, nobody had ever heard of this girl. And I literally was like, this lady eats. Just in in insane combos, like her combos are shocking and she takes the biggest bites I've ever seen like. It it's real anaconda like unhinging the jaw like. It's almost like you could just take a smaller, she just go.

• 1:12:39Speaker 01

To pick up the sweet potato is crazy work.

• 1:12:41Drew Afualo?

To put your mouth, your your entire mouth around the circumference of a sweet potato like, okay bitch, I'm giving it off, hats off to you.

• 1:12:49Speaker 01

  Hats off.

• 1:12:50Drew Afualo?

And I watched her once, this is before she blew up because she blew up recently. But I watched her once. I used to watch her for hours. I would just scroll down. Watch everyone and there was one where she. She was eating that that plowman's lunch thing like she had just the most insane like those pickled onion balls. She had like cheese and like the all those weird little sauces she likes and and just a green onion eating it like a carrot.

• 1:13:12Speaker 01

That is that to me, that worries me.

• 1:13:14Drew Afualo?

The the green onion thing is crazy and so then she's eating like that she goes, oh, I need a drink. And she reaches up camera and brings a drink and it's a ghost, which is an energy drink. There's about 200 milligrams of caffeine in that hoe. Blue raspberry flavored, cracks it, starts chugging it. I'm obsessed with this bitch.

• 1:13:31Speaker 01

Get her a reality show now.

• 1:13:34Drew Afualo?

  With this bitch, oh.

• 1:13:35Speaker 01

  Oh, my god.

• 1:13:36Drew Afualo?

Funniest comments to me before she like blew up were like she would have comments like. You know, I used to eat like this too. And then I went to the doctor and I got diagnosed with pica, so you should probably go and get checked. They would write shit like that.

• 1:13:48Speaker 01

  Holy shit.

• 1:13:49Drew Afualo?

Why do you write shit like this on people's?

• 1:13:51Speaker 01

People really think they're sharing the information.

• 1:13:53Drew Afualo?

They're like, you should go get checked. Like, okay. Maybe she's just got a weird palate. That's okay.

• 1:13:59Speaker 01

Yes, there was a weird moment when like. People were like everyone was diagnosing everyone with autism. It's kind of still happening.

• 1:14:06Drew Afualo?

  Oh, totally.

• 1:14:07Speaker 01

I'd watch the videos from the curling their hair and the first comment would be like. Hmm, how you curled your hair? Maybe autistic. And you're like, you get, you're 11.

• 1:14:16Speaker 01

Relax. Wait, can I talk about I really, I think this is the right podcast to talk this about. My passion on my my for you page.

• 1:14:25Drew Afualo?

  Oh, please, please, please.

• 1:14:26Speaker 01

You ever watch the guy friend friendliest catch take the um things off crabs?

• 1:14:33Drew Afualo?

Yes, yes, I have. Yeah, the little like.

• 1:14:35Speaker 01

  What are they called?

• 1:14:36Drew Afualo?

  mollusks or like.

• 1:14:37Speaker 01

  Something, yeah. Barnacles, barnacles.

• 1:14:39Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and they he cuts them off and slices them.

• 1:14:41Speaker 01

Yes, I was never into like pimple popping, but the way that he cracks. And when TikTok was about to go down, I go, I need a couple of those videos. I was like download, download, download. It's so, and he's like so funny. He's like, let's get them off. And I'm like. It's the crunch. I want to do that so bad. If that is a thing that I could do, please. I'm threatening him in the comments. I'm like, put me on the boat now.

• 1:15:07Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:15:08Drew Afualo?

You know what? That that's similar. Have you seen the guy who does the cow hooves? Like he gets white lined lesions in their hooves. Like he like cuts.

• 1:15:16Speaker 01

  Send it to me, Rachel.

• 1:15:17Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was gonna say the if you like that barnacle thing, I think you'll like the cow hoof thing. Cause I was similar to you where I didn't, I don't like the pimple popper stuff. But when I saw the cow hoof guy, I said, now, hold on a second.

• 1:15:29Speaker 01

Yeah. Then there is something for everybody.

• 1:15:31Drew Afualo?

Let me look into this. And I was like, because I don't really care for ASMR either.

• 1:15:35Speaker 01

  No.

• 1:15:35Drew Afualo?

I don't like it. And I especially don't like eating ones. I really hate the noise of that stuff. So like, I don't like that kind of ASMR. I don't like ASMR at all, really. But that shit, I was like, there's something about this that I feel like, ooh, love that. And then you start learning the terminologies, like, he's like, white line lesion, like, this is a white line lesion. And then he'll like, he'll like, click off the little hoof, ooh.

• 1:15:55Speaker 01

Oh, I would love that, yeah.

• 1:15:56Drew Afualo?

Yeah. If you like the barnacle guy, I think you'll like him.

• 1:15:58Speaker 01

  I'm gonna love the calf.

• 1:15:59Drew Afualo?

  The dairy hoof guy.

• 1:16:00Speaker 01

  The dairy hoof guy.

• 1:16:01Drew Afualo?

It's like dairy cows. That's who he focuses on.

• 1:16:03Speaker 01

  Thank God.

• 1:16:04Drew Afualo?

And he like, does voiceovers. And like, sometimes I'll hear him going like, also, guys, like, I have been doing this for like, well over ten years. Like, you guys don't need to give me advice. Like, once again, there's people in the comments. I was like, let him do his job.

• 1:16:16Speaker 01

They went to a farm one time, they're like, I actually, this cow has autism.

• 1:16:21Drew Afualo?

I was just about to say.

• 1:16:22Speaker 01

Same joke we got, yeah, we got.

• 1:16:23Drew Afualo?

The way you clipped that hoof, I think you may have autism.

• 1:16:26Speaker 01

Oh, my God. You guys, positive comments only 2026. I actually keep, I need to tell, I'm having to break down. 2026, 2026, there's a new rule. You can't comment anything negative on either of our profiles.

• 1:16:42Drew Afualo?

  Right, exactly.

• 1:16:43Speaker 01

  That's the law.

• 1:16:44Drew Afualo?

  That's the decree now.

• 1:16:44Speaker 01

I just wanted, people to know.

• 1:16:46Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, they should.

• 1:16:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:16:47Drew Afualo?

And also, like, I said this too, because when I was in Ireland for New Year's, I watched, uh, the Stranger Things finale.

• 1:16:54Speaker 01

Same. No, I wasn't in Ireland though.

• 1:16:57Drew Afualo?

Now, I will say this. I have never watched that show. I watched all of season three with my sister because she wanted to watch the new season when that.

• 1:17:04Speaker 01

You didn't see one or two?

• 1:17:04Drew Afualo?

No. And I haven't watched since. But they all wanted to watch the finale, and I'm someone who doesn't really care about spoilers. So I was like, yeah, sure, why not? And like, I'm watching, and I'm like, who's that? Who's that? And then halfway through, I was explaining stuff. Like, I was like, well, clearly, this is happening because, like, I know anything. And I pointed, I like, talked about it. I was like, these are my thoughts. Like, these are just my random thoughts as someone with no stake and hasn't watched the show, literally, ever.

• 1:17:28Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:17:28Drew Afualo?

And I had quite a few thoughts, but like, they were real normal. But I, I like, was messaging Amanda about it because I was. Like I have never seen this show and I had a blast. I enjoyed myself. I cried.

• 1:17:41Drew Afualo?

Oh my god, they're just kids. I never watched them when they were kids. They were just kids.

• 1:17:46Speaker 01

  You got it.

• 1:17:47Drew Afualo?

I felt moved, sorry. And so I talked about it. I was like, wow, this is great. And Amanda was like, this is tea. I might do this with Game of Thrones. And like just watched the finale and I go, honestly, I'm enjoying things I do not understand. In 2026, that's my new thing. I don't understand it. I'm gonna enjoy it. Like, that's what I think we should apply to these comments. You don't understand it, that's okay. Like, I didn't understand the Plowman's Lunch Lady. But I was enjoying her.

• 1:18:09Speaker 01

And if you watch my video and you don't get it, keep scrolling.

• 1:18:12Drew Afualo?

It's okay, like, enjoy it for what it is.

• 1:18:14Speaker 01

The emoji, the heart, this. And I'll know, I'll go, you didn't get it, but you're here.

• 1:18:21Drew Afualo?

  I was like, enjoying things I don't understand. I think that's fun.

• 1:18:24Speaker 01

Or moving on from things that you don't want to get into.

• 1:18:26Drew Afualo?

Yeah, or just like not for me. I was gonna say, since you're a Disney adult, do you have any favorite Disney creators? Like, do you ever see any Disney people? I have a few suggestions.

• 1:18:35Speaker 01

I do, I just became friends with, I think his name is Shay Spence. He followed, he followed me and I was like, uh, like, sometimes you don't, I don't follow people because I'm like, I don't know, you wanna have a little follower count. I'm trying to be cool, guys, I'm 35. Um, he like does all the food stuff and I was like, I love like knowing what snacks to eat. I love that girl that works out at Epcot and she looks like a princess.

• 1:18:56Drew Afualo?

And she goes, walk, get ready to work out with me, and she does a 10K.

• 1:19:00Speaker 01

  And she's dressed like fully.

• 1:19:03Drew Afualo?

And then she spreads the glitter on her chest.

• 1:19:05Speaker 01

In another world, in another world, that's me.

• 1:19:09Speaker 01

  I like to say.

• 1:19:10Drew Afualo?

  In an alternate timeline?

• 1:19:11Speaker 01

Alternate timeline, I have five kids, I'm walking Epcot every day.

• 1:19:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and a matching bow. And hair. Yeah, I saw her tea, I clocked her tea the other day.

• 1:19:20Speaker 01

Oh, we have to give it up for the part, the plus size park hopper.

• 1:19:24Drew Afualo?

  Oh my god, I love.

• 1:19:26Speaker 01

If you come for them, come for me first.

• 1:19:29Drew Afualo?

  For real.

• 1:19:29Speaker 01

Although, the rule is, you have to be nice to me, so.

• 1:19:32Drew Afualo?

  So, good luck.

• 1:19:33Speaker 01

They are doing the Lord's work.

• 1:19:34Drew Afualo?

The plus size park hoppers, I love them.

• 1:19:35Speaker 01

They trigger people so bad and I'm like, they're, they're literally being so sweet and so simp. You could just be like, oh, that's not for me. I'm, I'm, I'm jacked to hell, I don't need this. Instead people are like, how dare you? No, I love them.

• 1:19:50Drew Afualo?

I'm jacked as hell, I don't need this.

• 1:19:51Speaker 01

Can you imagine? There's men, there's men saying that.

• 1:19:54Drew Afualo?

  I know.

• 1:19:55Speaker 01

Or I wish they would say that. The plus size park office, if, when I go to Disney World, if I see them, I'll cry.

• 1:20:02Drew Afualo?

  I love them.

• 1:20:02Speaker 01

  They're so amazing.

• 1:20:03Drew Afualo?

And they're also like, on a very literal scale, like, they are making a difference. Like, they are really genuinely giving information that matters. It fucking matters. Some people are too afraid to even try.

• 1:20:14Speaker 01

  A million percent.

• 1:20:15Drew Afualo?

So it matters, like, that's why I was like, it, as corny as it sounds, representation fucking matters.

• 1:20:19Speaker 01

Yes, and universal, like, you're less likely to fit on rides as a bigger person, just how it is.

• 1:20:23Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:20:24Speaker 01

And they're like, let me show you, and then this is my size, and so it's like, I can save myself the embarrassment of like, shoving myself.

• 1:20:30Drew Afualo?

That's why I said, they're making a huge difference. And they, they trigger people who are insecure and hate themselves. Like, that's really the only people they trigger. But like, I love them, I think they're fucking awesome.

• 1:20:38Speaker 01

  Same.

• 1:20:39Drew Afualo?

Some of my other favorite Disney creators.

• 1:20:40Speaker 01

  Say it.

• 1:20:41Drew Afualo?

Blake's Pop Nuck. We love Blake, my sister and I love Blake, and I talked to him recently, I, he's like a big pin collector.

• 1:20:47Speaker 01

  Ooh, okay.

• 1:20:47Drew Afualo?

And so I was actually messaging him the other day, and I was like, I have some pins, um, do you want them? Like, they're like, limited edition, like, VIP ones or whatever. And he was like, I would love them. And I was like, okay, cool, I'll give them to you. Are you a pin collector?

• 1:21:01Speaker 01

  No, but that's really sweet.

• 1:21:02Drew Afualo?

  It is quite the world.

• 1:21:04Speaker 01

My mom is the one that got me into Disney, and she, like, we would go to Disney, we never like, got merch, we weren't allowed to like, pin collect.

• 1:21:11Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, same.

• 1:21:11Speaker 01

It was like, which is almost like, sicker, you're like, we're gonna go and like, not experience everything.

• 1:21:15Drew Afualo?

  You're just gonna get edged.

• 1:21:16Speaker 01

Yeah, we're gonna get edged, like.

• 1:21:17Drew Afualo?

  You buy everything.

• 1:21:18Speaker 01

  She, like, she, yeah.

• 1:21:19Drew Afualo?

You're gonna window shop at Disney?

• 1:21:20Speaker 01

I know, no, truly. Like, we weren't, and there was nothing like, in our house that was like, Disney.

• 1:21:24Drew Afualo?

  No, same.

• 1:21:25Speaker 01

It was almost secret, which is, yeah, it's kind of sicker, yeah. But, um, I love, like, like, yesterday I bought a hat that has a little Mickey on it, I'm excited for that.

• 1:21:33Drew Afualo?

  Ew.

• 1:21:33Speaker 01

I kinda am getting, I think I was like, shamed, where now I'm like, I'm gonna wear my Disney shit, I don't care.

• 1:21:37Drew Afualo?

  Me too.

• 1:21:37Speaker 01

I have a Tower of Terror shirt that looks like a rock and roll band.

• 1:21:40Drew Afualo?

  Okay, too.

• 1:21:41Speaker 01

People are looking, they're going, oh wait, that's Disney.

• 1:21:44Drew Afualo?

I love the little hats. I can't wear the ears unfortunately because they are too small for my big head.

• 1:21:49Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:21:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, they they hurt my head.

• 1:21:51Speaker 01

I have a big head and I have one.

• 1:21:52Drew Afualo?

  Girl, my head.

• 1:21:53Speaker 01

But it is true at the end of the day, you're going, I can't wear these again.

• 1:21:55Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and also my head's like, big for real. Like, I think it doesn't look as big as it is, but if I, right. But if I was, like, if I bicked my whole head one day, it would be enormous.

• 1:22:06Speaker 01

Which is a feeling I get sometimes.

• 1:22:08Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, I'm close.

• 1:22:08Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:22:09Drew Afualo?

About two steps, you know. It depends on.

• 1:22:12Speaker 01

Not today, I don't want, please.

• 1:22:13Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was like, I had, you know, had to come in today. I'll save that for the weekend. But I do love Megan the Magical Millennial. She's awesome.

• 1:22:20Speaker 01

Okay, I'm gonna look up these people.

• 1:22:22Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I love when they go on the Disney cruises. Because I'm never gonna go on a cruise. I don't really care.

• 1:22:26Speaker 01

I'm scared, not scared, but I just don't, yeah.

• 1:22:28Drew Afualo?

Yeah, getting trapped on a ship is not my idea of a good time. And I just, I've seen Titanic. I don't trust y'all.

• 1:22:35Speaker 01

Even after Titanic, that one where everyone was like shitting themselves because there was no like.

• 1:22:39Drew Afualo?

  Oh, the poop cruise?

• 1:22:39Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:22:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, or even Amy Bradley, she went missing on a cruise.

• 1:22:42Speaker 01

  Do you think she's alive?

• 1:22:44Drew Afualo?

No, I honestly think she's dead. Which I did argue with Robbie Hoffman about.

• 1:22:47Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, you did.

• 1:22:48Drew Afualo?

  Robbie Hoffman asked me.

• 1:22:49Speaker 01

  You're wrong.

• 1:22:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she was like, okay, well, you're super wrong, so I'll just say why I'm not wrong. And I was like, okay.

• 1:22:54Speaker 01

That was such a wild one, oh. I love, yeah, Robbie is unreal.

• 1:22:59Drew Afualo?

I love her, yeah. But I think it's like, I love the Disney adult, like, there is one girl I I used to watch all the time. I don't even remember her name. If I did, I would plug her. And then she would get super famous. It's for some reason that always happens when I plug people on here. But there was a Disney girl.

• 1:23:13Speaker 01

Sagi Splinters. You're like, you're on the podcast, girl.

• 1:23:18Drew Afualo?

She, um, she lives at, like, in Florida, so she live, but she lives on those properties where, they're not the themed houses.

• 1:23:25Speaker 01

  Not Celebration.

• 1:23:25Drew Afualo?

But they're like, no, but they're like, on the property almost. Like, it's like those track homes. You know, they sell like track homes.

• 1:23:31Speaker 01

I'm telling you, like, if something wrong goes, goes wrong in my life, I'm, I'm them there.

• 1:23:36Drew Afualo?

  Pivoting there.

• 1:23:36Speaker 01

And I, I'm not, not, I'm not trying to be rude to them. It's like, for me, it would just be like, I'm giving up on comedy and I'm blogging all day long in Disney. Oh, there's a one girl that like, she's like, I live at Disney and I like eat all the food. Did you know that?

• 1:23:48Drew Afualo?

  Oh, I probably, I mean, I'm sure I have.

• 1:23:51Speaker 01

I I wish, I need to remember people's handles and names when I'm like.

• 1:23:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, the girl I used to see, she, her husband was like a firefighter or something, so she was like, he worked really weird hours, so she was always going, like during, she would go every day, every single day. And she would go to a different park and she would always theme her outfit, but not Disney bounding, she would just like, do like one color and then she would pick one little thing to like tag on her bag. She wore the same outfit, same vibe, same theme. Everything was exactly the same. I was like, it felt like that episode of SpongeBob where Squidward moves into that neighborhood and he does the same thing every day. That's like kinda what it looked like.

• 1:24:25Speaker 01

  Yeah, I love.

• 1:24:25Drew Afualo?

I was like, how is it possible that this girl has a tennis skirt in every color for every princess? Like, what are the odds?

• 1:24:30Speaker 01

  She's really trying.

• 1:24:31Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she's matching to the ears, to the little bag.

• 1:24:34Speaker 01

I had a lot of fun when I worked there, but I also worked every holiday and every night. Because when you're a, an intern, that's the like.

• 1:24:41Drew Afualo?

They give you the worst ones.

• 1:24:42Speaker 01

Yes, so every holiday and every night and at some point, and then I was spending my days off back in the parks. So it was like twenty-four seven where I was like, I have to go. You know what I mean?

• 1:24:51Drew Afualo?

  You need a break.

• 1:24:51Speaker 01

I'm, I'm, everything's Mickey shaped that I'm eating. I have five roommates, like I don't know what I'm doing here. And also like, I'm so pale and I get burnt so easily, like Florida was not for me. And like also Orlando is landlocked, it's like if I'm gonna live in Florida.

• 1:25:06Drew Afualo?

  Right.

• 1:25:07Speaker 01

  Get me near the ocean.

• 1:25:07Drew Afualo?

  That's true.

• 1:25:08Speaker 01

Um, but I did, I, yeah, I was, I worked like New Year's Eve and they did the, the ten, nine, eight, like in fireworks. That was the coolest fireworks I ever saw.

• 1:25:17Drew Afualo?

  Damn.

• 1:25:18Speaker 01

Although somebody tried to go on my ride, like right before midnight, they're like, we're gonna go on, I go, no, oh well. The fireworks, they're like, well, we don't really know if I'd see them. I was like, please, I wanna see them. Which Disney probably would have hated that I did.

• 1:25:29Drew Afualo?

Good thing you don't work there anymore.

• 1:25:30Speaker 01

Yeah, oh, I had some of the most, yeah, that was, that was fun.

• 1:25:34Drew Afualo?

  We went.

• 1:25:34Speaker 01

You know there's a subway below. I have to ruin everybody's. It's a night, I, I hope it's not still there. I worked at Subway too. So when I came to Disney and saw the subway, I was like, don't, you fucking bitch.

• 1:25:43Drew Afualo?

  You're following me everywhere.

• 1:25:45Speaker 01

Leave me alone. They're like, you wanna be a sandwich artist still? No, I don't.

• 1:25:49Drew Afualo?

When we went last year, we also went to Universal too, so we did-

• 1:25:52Speaker 01

Yes, we're going to one day.

• 1:25:53Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we did um, the new Epic thing, like with-

• 1:25:56Speaker 01

  How was it?

• 1:25:57Drew Afualo?

It was awesome. We, one of the first rides we went on was, the lady was explaining to us, it's like, it's kinda like a, a seat where like it swings.

• 1:26:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:26:06Drew Afualo?

But like, it's like a thing you can swing side to side and it has dragon wings on it. And if you swing hard enough at the right times, you can flip all the way around, but she was saying it doesn't happen that often. And we were like, okay, and I was like, I'm not doing that because I'm gonna get motion sickness, because it's also going like, up and down at the same time, so it's like a lot. But, we were like, yeah, let's go on it, and like, one of the guys in our party, he was like, I, I'm gonna try to do the flip thing. And we were like, okay, so as we started, he was rocking back and forth like, hard as hell, to the point where they were like, hey, hey, hey, like, okay enough, for a second, give it a second. And then it finally took off, and he did it like, three times in a row, and then he said he was so nauseous the whole time, he couldn't enjoy it.

• 1:26:45Speaker 01

  Oh, well, yeah.

• 1:26:45Drew Afualo?

And I was like, well, that's what you get for showing off.

• 1:26:47Speaker 01

  That's for three times?

• 1:26:48Drew Afualo?

I bet you learned your lesson, didn't you?

• 1:26:49Speaker 01

How, how big is the crew that you went with down there?

• 1:26:52Drew Afualo?

I think, it was six, seven, eight, nine, ten, ten of us?

• 1:26:56Speaker 01

Okay, my family will be ten.

• 1:26:58Drew Afualo?

Yeah, it was like, the perfect size.

• 1:26:59Speaker 01

Okay, yeah, three children, so those are like, whatever.

• 1:27:02Drew Afualo?

A little bit, yeah, not as fun, but we did do like, the monster universe over there, I've never done that one.

• 1:27:07Speaker 01

  No, yeah.

• 1:27:08Drew Afualo?

Frankenstein, like they had this one, some of their rides are scary as hell, like-

• 1:27:11Speaker 01

  Jurassic Park? Scary!

• 1:27:13Drew Afualo?

Scary as fuck, that King Kong ride?

• 1:27:15Speaker 01

Oh, I haven't gone on the King Kong.

• 1:27:17Drew Afualo?

Oh, girl, I have, I have megalophobia, so looking at that giant gorilla was a little horrifying.

• 1:27:22Speaker 01

  What is megalophobia?

• 1:27:22Drew Afualo?

Megalophobia is when you're afraid of things that are like, really, really large, but like, things that aren't supposed to be-

• 1:27:26Speaker 01

You had another thing the other day.

• 1:27:28Drew Afualo?

  Yeah, it was like-

• 1:27:28Speaker 01

  A different thing.

• 1:27:29Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:27:30Speaker 01

On my pile, what did you say? It starts with an A.

• 1:27:32Drew Afualo?

Oh, a gor- no, well, I am a goraphobic, but that's different.

• 1:27:37Drew Afualo?

I know what you're talking about. No, what did I tell you?

• 1:27:40Speaker 01

  Another phobia.

• 1:27:40Drew Afualo?

Something, it was a different phobia. I do have.

• 1:27:43Speaker 01

  Watch, yeah, we'll fit, we'll.

• 1:27:45Drew Afualo?

  We'll see.

• 1:27:45Speaker 01

  We'll start a list.

• 1:27:46Drew Afualo?

If they tune into yours, they'll see.

• 1:27:47Speaker 01

We'll start a list. Oh, my god.

• 1:27:50Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so megalophobia is my big thing. It's mostly mammals, like mammals that are too big.

• 1:27:54Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:27:54Drew Afualo?

So like, I love the Avatar movies, like the Blue Alien ones, but like, when I do see their fake bodies at like Disney World and stuff, I am a little afraid.

• 1:28:01Speaker 01

  I know.

• 1:28:02Drew Afualo?

I am frightened looking at them.

• 1:28:03Speaker 01

On the river ride, when the big guy, you're like, they're like, we spent six million dollars on this. I'm like, okay.

• 1:28:09Drew Afualo?

  And then the.

• 1:28:09Speaker 01

  It's a little scary.

• 1:28:10Drew Afualo?

Yeah. Yeah, and not the rest of the ride, clearly.

• 1:28:14Speaker 01

Did you go on the ET ride?

• 1:28:16Drew Afualo?

We did, and honestly, really fucking cute.

• 1:28:19Speaker 01

  It's the cutest.

• 1:28:20Drew Afualo?

It's the, my sister was like, that was my favorite ride. I was like, of course it was.

• 1:28:24Speaker 01

We just made my nephew and niece watch it, because we're gonna go, and they were like, my niece is six, so she got it, she was sobbing.

• 1:28:31Drew Afualo?

  Oh.

• 1:28:32Speaker 01

My nephew was kinda like, oh, yeah, and then my younger nephew, who's three, was like, I don't care, where's ice cream, like, I don't care if it's alien.

• 1:28:39Drew Afualo?

  Okay, movie over.

• 1:28:40Speaker 01

When they say your name at the end, spoiler.

• 1:28:42Drew Afualo?

I know, I know. They only said, um, like, the people on the end, because we were, our party was split up, obviously. Yeah, right, no, they really only said, like, the white people in our party's names, which is funny, because one of them, his name is Steven, that's the one who flipped. They're like, Steven, like that, and we're, we were like, oh, my god, who said that? Because they didn't say everyone's names. So it was only like one or two.

• 1:29:05Speaker 01

  Freaky.

• 1:29:06Drew Afualo?

Yeah, so, that one is so cute, though.

• 1:29:08Speaker 01

  It's so cute.

• 1:29:08Drew Afualo?

And it's old as hell, that ride.

• 1:29:10Speaker 01

I love that, yeah, I love it.

• 1:29:12Drew Afualo?

The whole thing is so cute, and it's air conditioned, so that's nice.

• 1:29:15Speaker 01

  Please.

• 1:29:15Drew Afualo?

  The indoor rides are nice.

• 1:29:16Speaker 01

We went on Pirates yesterday because we were feeling hot.

• 1:29:18Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:29:19Speaker 01

And it was just so, we were just like, oh, in here, like, loving Pirates, smelling, loving the smell. It was amazing.

• 1:29:24Drew Afualo?

I've said before, if you go on Space Mountain, and you sit with your whole party, sometimes, if you're too heavy, they make you get off and split you up. Did you guys know that?

• 1:29:33Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:29:34Drew Afualo?

Did y'all know that? They have a weight limit there.

• 1:29:36Speaker 01

  Holy shit.

• 1:29:37Drew Afualo?

One time, me and all my family were sitting in one, and then they were like, the guy was, mind you, this had already happened to us once, where they made us deplane. Uh, because there were like, too many big bodies on this one, split them up, and then they would like, put someone in the back car, like, so balanced, which is humiliating, but you know. So we were used to it, but then one time when we pulled up, it's like, when it stops right there, it's like weighing it, like, they're like, weighing it, which we didn't know. So it's like, stop there, and then the guy that like goes like, pulls the thing for you, he goes, too heavy?

• 1:30:07Speaker 01

  Oh!

• 1:30:07Drew Afualo?

Too heavy? No, not too heavy. Okay, you guys are good.

• 1:30:11Speaker 01

That is not some, they probably don't want them to say that kind of thing.

• 1:30:13Drew Afualo?

And then when we did take off, we did cheer. We were like, we made weight!

• 1:30:18Speaker 01

They have, they have a big seat in the Harry Potter ride.

• 1:30:21Drew Afualo?

  Really?

• 1:30:22Speaker 01

Three normals and one big, and you know, my ass tried to say normal, they said, "And over here." "And over here," I was like, "What?"

• 1:30:29Drew Afualo?

You, we have a special seat for you.

• 1:30:30Speaker 01

Yeah, no, I noticed, I was like, "Oh, okay." Click, like, "Okay." Oh my god.

• 1:30:35Drew Afualo?

Okay, no message received, thank you.

• 1:30:37Speaker 01

And that one's like moving, so they're like, "Hurry!"

• 1:30:40Drew Afualo?

Don't sit in that one, sit in this one.

• 1:30:41Speaker 01

Oh my god, yeah. My, my, my plus, plus size power coppers would've told me.

• 1:30:46Drew Afualo?

Yeah, we should've checked in with them. Me too. Okay, and we'll kinda go through these. Oh, this says, "You used to work in Tomorrowland at Disney World," which you talked about. "One time had to cancel the parade due to weather and an angry customer yelled at her, 'You're going down like Sears.'"

• 1:31:00Speaker 01

Yes. He said, "The parade's canceled," and I said, "There's lightning, we don't want the performers to get hurt." He goes, "You're going down like Sears. And when I see you in the street, I won't give you a dollar." And I was, I had my college on my thing, I was like, "Well, I just graduated college, I don't think so." Also Sears, what? He said Disney World was going down like Sears to me. I was like, "Great," and I have to be like, "Oh..."

• 1:31:21Drew Afualo?

  You specifically?

• 1:31:22Speaker 01

Yeah, me specifically. And I had to say the thing, we just go like, "Have a magical day."

• 1:31:28Speaker 01

It's like your way to be bitchy, because you can't say anything mean.

• 1:31:31Drew Afualo?

Alright, sir, have a magical day.

• 1:31:33Speaker 01

A girl, a woman came up to me, she goes, "Are all you cast members fucking?" And I was just like...

• 1:31:40Speaker 01

Isn't that insane? What kind of pervert, like, what are you doing?

• 1:31:44Drew Afualo?

  Why are you asking?

• 1:31:45Speaker 01

You're like, you're not like interested, you're like, "I don't care about Mickey or anything." "Are these sickos having sex with each other?"

• 1:31:50Drew Afualo?

Are the people operating these heavy machinery rides?

• 1:31:54Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:31:54Drew Afualo?

  Having sex with each other?

• 1:31:55Speaker 01

Isn't that crazy? There was a Christian-

• 1:31:57Drew Afualo?

What would that information give you, you think?

• 1:31:59Speaker 01

I don't, I was like, "Okay," like, I don't think I said anything. Also, we had a Christian night where they would, you had, we couldn't do the, um, people mover, because it got, because the teens would like get horny in the dark. So they shut down the people mover. They're like, "We're not doing this rite night, because the teens are a little handsy." And we, there's a camera, we can see everything, it's like, yeah. They're left alone for two seconds in the dark, they're like, ah, like, isn't that sick?

• 1:32:25Drew Afualo?

And it really, you are not in the dark for that long.

• 1:32:28Speaker 01

No, not that long at all.

• 1:32:29Drew Afualo?

  All the people.

• 1:32:29Speaker 01

They take, they took what they could get, yeah.

• 1:32:32Drew Afualo?

They made that fifteen seconds count. Oh my god, too horny in the dark, sorry, cut off, guess what, no more people mover.

• 1:32:41Speaker 01

Oh my god, it was, yeah, it was fun, oh.

• 1:32:43Drew Afualo?

We had like, um, when we were in high school, they used to have grad night.

• 1:32:46Speaker 01

  Yes, yeah.

• 1:32:47Drew Afualo?

And they used to like, rent out Disneyland, so like, when, I think the year before my sister graduated, she was like, one grade above me, and my man was in the same grade as her. Uh, the year before that, they changed the schedule, so they put graduation after grad night, it used to be, you know, it used to be right after graduation, like, then you would go straight to grad night. But then, they switched it because people were being insane at Disneyland, and then, so they used it as a threat, like, if you act insane, you're not gonna graduate, you're not gonna walk. So like, it was like, it had to be moved because people were being that bad at grad night. Which is crazy already, because they're already renting it out and putting a bunch of teens in there, which seems like bad already.

• 1:33:26Speaker 01

But we're in Disneyland, it's like, what are you gonna?

• 1:33:27Drew Afualo?

Right, and I also had snuck into grad night at least three times before I even went, because I figured out how to do it. And so my friends and I would just go and do it, now I don't think you could do it if they did do that.

• 1:33:37Speaker 01

Because I'd love to be like, tell me how.

• 1:33:38Drew Afualo?

Yeah, but at the time, like, it was nice because then there's no line or anything, but we were also teens too, so like, we would blend in, now I think I would stand out pretty heavily. But I do remember my senior year when we went to grad night, um, they only did California, because Disneyland was like, rented out for something else, like, it was like, a celebration, whatever. So they only did California, which already kinda sucked, but then, they like roped off Flo's Cafe, you know, in Carsland?

• 1:34:07Speaker 01

  Why?

• 1:34:08Drew Afualo?

They roped off the whole thing, they made it like a club.

• 1:34:10Speaker 01

  Oh, that's fun, okay.

• 1:34:11Drew Afualo?

And then they were playing like, the nastiest hip hop music, which I thought was like, shocking, because it's in Disneyland and I don't know who the DJ was. And don't get me wrong, I was shaking ass in that thing, I just couldn't believe it, now every time I walk by it, I think about that.

• 1:34:25Speaker 01

I was drinking a Coke Zero there yesterday. In peace, while my friend rode the cars ride for the second time.

• 1:34:31Drew Afualo?

You know what's funny, what I wore to my grad night too was like, short shorts were in at the time.

• 1:34:36Speaker 01

  Of course.

• 1:34:37Drew Afualo?

But I wore this t-shirt that my sister got me as like, kind of a joke, but like, unironically, it was my favorite t-shirt. Like, I'm a big fan of, of like, t-shirt, like, ugly t-shirts, or like, funny ones.

• 1:34:48Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:34:49Drew Afualo?

And at the time, it was this purple, like, acid wash color, but it was, had the, a giant picture of an ostrich on it. And I hate birds, but like, it was a very real-life depiction of an ostrich, like, it was scary, like, to look at. And it's like, big eye was like, this big, and it was like, almost like, profile, like that.

• 1:35:06Speaker 01

And what, and so, she, she saw that, she said, she was gonna love this.

• 1:35:09Drew Afualo?

Yeah, she literally was like, she's gonna love this.

• 1:35:11Speaker 01

  She's gonna love this.

• 1:35:12Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and so she sent it to me, and it was my favorite t-shirt. I wore it all the time, and I literally have pictures from my grad night, I wore that to grad night, cuz I was like, well, it's my fun night, I'm gonna wear my favorite t-shirt.

• 1:35:22Speaker 01

  Yes, be comfy.

• 1:35:23Drew Afualo?

My number-one t-shirt, and everybody was like, oh, like, every time they'd see my shirt, and I was like, my sister got it for me.

• 1:35:30Speaker 01

My sister got it for me, let's shake ass.

• 1:35:32Drew Afualo?

  In Flo's Cafe.

• 1:35:35Speaker 01

I love, I love it at night, I love it. I did, I was, I was having the time of my life. I had about six Coke Ziers, if I'm, if I'm being honest. Drinking like, the bit, like, I'm having a blast, like.

• 1:35:46Drew Afualo?

That's one of those places where you really, it's okay to lose track of how many sodas you've had.

• 1:35:51Speaker 01

We'd have so many sodas, we'd just like, continue eating snacks.

• 1:35:54Drew Afualo?

Yeah, dehydration is key, when you're walking around.

• 1:35:56Speaker 01

The people I was with were actually really annoying, cuz they were so good, they were like, let's drink water, and I was like, alright, cuz we were also getting stoned, so we were like.

• 1:36:03Drew Afualo?

That's the only way to go to Disneyland.

• 1:36:04Speaker 01

We tried to do, well, we did do mushrooms for my birthday one time, but then my friend Jordan was like, I have to sit under a tree, now. So we were next to the corn dog castle for an hour.

• 1:36:16Speaker 01

  Just being like, you're okay.

• 1:36:17Drew Afualo?

  Grounding.

• 1:36:18Speaker 01

Then we went to the, and credit coaster had the time of our lives, which was closed yesterday.

• 1:36:22Drew Afualo?

Hate that. But that's also like being high at Disneyland now, the best.

• 1:36:27Speaker 01

  The best.

• 1:36:28Drew Afualo?

I remember the first time I was ever high at Disneyland, when I took the tram. We were sitting there, I felt like when what I imagine dogs feel like when they stick their head out the window and they're going. That's how it felt.

• 1:36:39Speaker 01

That's how Soren, like when you're in Soren, you're just like.

• 1:36:42Drew Afualo?

I was like, this is what it's all about.

• 1:36:44Speaker 01

Or the swings. You know the swings?

• 1:36:46Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:36:47Speaker 01

  Oh, it's so nice.

• 1:36:49Drew Afualo?

One time though, I did get the scaries uh from getting a little too high.

• 1:36:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:36:53Drew Afualo?

I greened out a little bit and we were going on Soren and I was like, just the thought of flying over anything simulated, it was like stressing me out.

• 1:37:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:37:03Drew Afualo?

So I was like, you guys go on, I'll, I'm, I'm gonna get off and I like, I just like went out of the line and went and sat down. I was like half to ground, otherwise I'm not gonna be able to make it through the rest of the day. So I was sitting there and then I was really worried that I was gonna just keep feeling like sick and like scared. And then we were sitting on the pier at that point and everybody went on the Incredicoaster and I was just sitting there still trying to like not freak out.

• 1:37:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:37:24Drew Afualo?

You know, and you're like, that's what, that's what I was doing, just completely silent. And then I smelled popcorn, like Disneyland popcorn. And I was like, damn, that smells good. And then I had that and it healed me.

• 1:37:34Speaker 01

That's, that's snacks there will bring you back.

• 1:37:37Drew Afualo?

And then I literally had the fun part of the high after that.

• 1:37:39Speaker 01

  Oh my god.

• 1:37:40Drew Afualo?

You know, you have to fight the scary sometimes and then when you win, you're like, yes.

• 1:37:44Speaker 01

Yeah. I'm usually like a five milligram edible girl, but yesterday I was like, I wanna go crazy. So I took ten. Mind you, the people I'm with taking thirty, forty, fifty, I'm like, you guys are.

• 1:37:53Drew Afualo?

Okay, I was gonna say, that's me, but like I get it.

• 1:37:56Speaker 01

  My friends are.

• 1:37:56Drew Afualo?

When I took fifty though, that's when I got scared.

• 1:37:58Speaker 01

Yeah, so I got to like reel it in.

• 1:38:00Drew Afualo?

You can never subtract, you can always add, but you can never subtract, yeah.

• 1:38:04Speaker 01

My friend Jordan, the funniest story in the world is she was, said she accidentally took a hundred grams, milligrams, sorry, grams, uh milligrams on a plane and she said she took it and then at one point she looked up and was like, I'm on a plane. And I was like, that's, she's like, I didn't know what to do. So I started coloring. I'm like, yeah.

• 1:38:19Drew Afualo?

Like you snuck in, nobody knows I'm on a plane right now.

• 1:38:23Speaker 01

How did I get here? Like, that's so funny. Um, yeah, we ate so much good snacks. I'm trying to think of my favorite thing.

• 1:38:30Drew Afualo?

Yeah, I was gonna say, what was your favorite thing?

• 1:38:32Speaker 01

Cause it was like cookie, chocolate. Yeah, it was smashed to hell, like in sugar. It was so good. I'm like, why did they, who did they come up with this? Who did they come up with this? What am I saying? How did they come up with this? Um, someone would be like, what if it's a croissant, chocolate chip, smash it. Like, that's someone's idea.

• 1:38:48Drew Afualo?

And put it in a plastic thing.

• 1:38:50Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 1:38:50Drew Afualo?

  And give it to them.

• 1:38:51Speaker 01

  And give it to them.

• 1:38:51Drew Afualo?

That's period. They have, um, what is it? It's like a cinnamon toffee. I forget what it's called, but it's like, it's like, Dace, what's the name of that treat? What is it? Churro? Churro toffee.

• 1:39:05Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:39:06Drew Afualo?

Yeah, and it's like, it, it looks like a little pop tart, but it's not.

• 1:39:09Speaker 01

You told me about this today.

• 1:39:10Drew Afualo?

I know. It's cinnamon dusted too.

• 1:39:12Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 1:39:13Drew Afualo?

  Toffee pop tart.

• 1:39:14Speaker 01

  Toffee pop tart?

• 1:39:15Drew Afualo?

  Crazy.

• 1:39:15Speaker 01

  Also, I really love-

• 1:39:16Drew Afualo?

Well, it's toffee, but it looks like a pop tart, is my point.

• 1:39:19Speaker 01

I love how a lot of places you can't get a normal cold brew.

• 1:39:22Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:39:23Speaker 01

Like, it's like, it's not a cold brew, it's like- Yes. Or like the one I got at Smoke Jumper's Grill was like, waffle cone pieces and caramel? I'm like, waffle cone?

• 1:39:33Speaker 01

Well, you know that they were like, we have a lot of waffle cones, what should we do? And someone's like, put it in the cold brew.

• 1:39:37Drew Afualo?

Okay, what, what can we do? What can we do?

• 1:39:39Speaker 01

Put it in the cold brew.

• 1:39:40Drew Afualo?

  Throw out some ideas.

• 1:39:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:39:41Drew Afualo?

Like, have you ever tried that milk at, in the Star Wars land?

• 1:39:43Speaker 01

  It's not my thing.

• 1:39:44Drew Afualo?

I've never tried it, because I'm not a milk girl. Really?

• 1:39:47Speaker 01

Um, I don't, I couldn't tell you what they taste like at all. You know what I mean?

• 1:39:51Drew Afualo?

  You're not moved by it?

• 1:39:51Speaker 01

They were cold. No, I was like, I don't know what to, but actually in Disney World, you can get alcohol in them.

• 1:39:56Drew Afualo?

  Oh, in your milk?

• 1:39:58Speaker 01

  In your milk.

• 1:39:58Drew Afualo?

  Interesting.

• 1:39:59Speaker 01

  It's not real milk, right?

• 1:40:00Drew Afualo?

We've strayed so far from God.

• 1:40:01Speaker 01

I know. Oh, Disney, Disney World is like, forget it, we're over like-

• 1:40:05Drew Afualo?

Fuck it. Put the waffle cones and the liquor in the milk. I don't care.

• 1:40:09Speaker 01

And that's what I love about California Adventure, is they're like, everything's liquor, like, and then Disneyland's like, and not over here.

• 1:40:18Drew Afualo?

  I'll just speed run. Ready?

• 1:40:19Speaker 01

  Please, I'm ready.

• 1:40:20Drew Afualo?

Uh, didn't get your driver's license until you were thirty-one?

• 1:40:22Speaker 01

  Okay, yeah.

• 1:40:23Drew Afualo?

Solo comedy show, Marguerite, explored your life growing up in Chicago and was directed by your two brothers, which we're gonna talk about?

• 1:40:29Speaker 01

Which will hopefully be coming out on YouTube or so, or somewhere soon.

• 1:40:32Drew Afualo?

Yay, very exciting. And once took a French, French pastry class where you learned to make macarons.

• 1:40:38Speaker 01

That is a deep cut, what the hell? I did, and then I thought I could make them, I was like, making them for people, and they were like, these aren't like that good.

• 1:40:46Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:40:46Drew Afualo?

Okay, so killed my dreams and my confidence. Uh, went to a liberal arts high school and did summer camps at Beverly Arts Center?

• 1:40:53Speaker 01

Yes, I went to an all-girl Catholic high school.

• 1:40:56Drew Afualo?

  Okay, tea.

• 1:40:56Speaker 01

Liberal arts, what, it's like, but they were still Catholic, and then, yeah, every summer I was a little theater girl.

• 1:41:01Drew Afualo?

  Oh, love.

• 1:41:01Speaker 01

I was in Grease and I was Sandy.

• 1:41:04Drew Afualo?

  Oh, tea.

• 1:41:04Speaker 01

And then the next time, but then I was in Annie twice and I was Pepper both times, and she's a bully orphan.

• 1:41:10Drew Afualo?

  The big bully arc.

• 1:41:10Speaker 01

Yeah, the musical starts with Molly being like, "I'm having a nightmare." She's like, "Shut up."

• 1:41:14Drew Afualo?

  Yeah.

• 1:41:14Speaker 01

  And they were like, "You."

• 1:41:15Drew Afualo?

  Get back to cleaning.

• 1:41:16Speaker 01

  Yeah, exactly.

• 1:41:17Drew Afualo?

  I just watched Annie recently.

• 1:41:19Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:41:19Drew Afualo?

And that movie is crazy if you watch it again.

• 1:41:21Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:41:22Drew Afualo?

Like, the part where Grace is telling Daddy Warbucks to adopt her.

• 1:41:26Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:41:27Drew Afualo?

And then he's like, "No." He's like, "I love money. I love capitalism." And I said,

• 1:41:33Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:41:33Drew Afualo?

Loki, let him cook. Let him cook. Hold on. And then when he goes, "Your teeth are crooked."

• 1:41:37Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:41:38Drew Afualo?

I forgot this part. He says that.

• 1:41:39Speaker 01

  I forgot.

• 1:41:40Drew Afualo?

Yeah, he goes, "Your teeth are crooked." And she goes, "Oh, I'll get them fixed." He goes, "No, I like them. Leave them." You know, he's just always yelling at her.

• 1:41:45Speaker 01

Daddy, relax. I want to play Miss Hannigan. That'd be my dream. I can't sing, but I'm little girls. That'd be so fun.

• 1:41:53Drew Afualo?

  I think you would kill.

• 1:41:54Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 1:41:54Drew Afualo?

Okay, last one is you had emergency back surgery two years ago.

• 1:41:58Speaker 01

Yes, I did. I had caught Aquina Syndrome, which is this crazy thing. And my nerves are still numb in my legs, so you could kick me right in the leg. I'll feel it, but I, I, I won't know exactly.

• 1:42:06Drew Afualo?

It's a real, um, like, what is it, Mr. Deeds kind of vibe.

• 1:42:10Speaker 01

Yes. Oh, my God, like your foot. Um, in my special, I tell the whole story, so I'll, you could save it for that.

• 1:42:17Drew Afualo?

So, obviously, you have to go watch Maggie live.

• 1:42:18Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:42:19Drew Afualo?

  And then you'll hear it.

• 1:42:19Speaker 01

And then you, yeah, then you'll hear it. And you'll go, "Oh, my God." That's awesome.

• 1:42:23Drew Afualo?

Well, thank you so much for coming on the show.

• 1:42:25Speaker 01

I can't believe this is a dream come true.

• 1:42:26Drew Afualo?

  It was the fucking best.

• 1:42:27Speaker 01

Are you sure I was meant to be here?

• 1:42:29Drew Afualo?

I mean, we already wasted the footage, so.

• 1:42:32Speaker 01

  Post it.

• 1:42:32Drew Afualo?

Might as well use it, you know?

• 1:42:34Speaker 01

Thank you so much. You're the best.

• 1:42:35Drew Afualo?

Thank you for coming. I fucking love you.

• 1:42:37Speaker 01

• 1:42:38Drew Afualo?

I'm excited. I'm so excited. We don't have many Disney adult friends. We don't. A lot of them, they judge us, but you know what?

• 1:42:44Speaker 01

  You guys, come out.

• 1:42:45Drew Afualo?

We persevere. We start, we stand strong.

• 1:42:47Speaker 01

  We stand strong.

• 1:42:47Drew Afualo?

  We're holding the front line.

• 1:42:48Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:42:49Drew Afualo?

  The thin Disney line.

• 1:42:50Speaker 01

The blue line on the, oh, I hit the mic.
