I'm Tony, I'm 28, from Peoria, Illinois. This is Financial Audit.

• 1:50Caleb Hammer?

Yes, sir, it is. Thanks for coming down. I know Peoria, it's a good time. Cheap area for sure.

• 1:57Speaker 03

This is the top five reasons not to move to Peoria.

• 2:01Caleb Hammer?

You should be, well, actually, it depends on your job and income. What do you do?

• 2:05Speaker 03

Um, I'm a technician at a factory in Illinois. Um, and I work on anything that comes off the line that requires repairs or damage along the process.

• 2:14Caleb Hammer?

That usually makes money, right? What are you doing? So what are you making?

• 2:17Speaker 03

I'm making about 2,000 every two weeks from that job.

• 2:22Caleb Hammer?

Is what hits your account? 2,000 every two weeks? So 4,000, you know, it's not like the most thrilling of all the incomes in the world, but Peoria, you know, I know well, you can live a pretty okay life on 4,000 hours, not a month.

• 2:36Speaker 03

Well, especially when I'm, I'm, I'm actually get VA disability too.

• 2:40Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, what you do?

• 2:41Speaker 03

Um, like job wise or like?

• 2:44Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, what were you doing in the military?

• 2:45Speaker 03

  I was a tank mechanic.

• 2:47Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, blowing shit up, except fixing the shit that would blow shit up.

• 2:51Speaker 03

You'd think so, but you know.

• 2:54Caleb Hammer?

We're not blowing up as many things these days, okay? And in the army, Marines?

• 2:58Speaker 03

  Army, yep.

• 2:59Caleb Hammer?

  Good.

• 2:59Speaker 03

I was actually at a service recovery unit, so I didn't really touch the Abrams when I got in, but uh.

• 3:04Caleb Hammer?

And what happened? What's your disability?

• 3:07Speaker 03

Oh, um, when I was in basic, uh, there's like phases, red, blue, white and blue, which red's like physical. Uh, during the first phase, red phase, I took like a 20 foot fall onto my knee.

• 3:17Caleb Hammer?

  Why'd you do that?

• 3:18Speaker 03

Uh, there's, there's a, there's a rappel, a rappelling tower called like Eagle Tower. And one of the parts on it is like a German wall, which is like a wall that goes like straight up. And there's like a rope. I went up the wall, got to the very top and couldn't transition. And they told us to let go if we feel like we're falling so we don't have our hands on the rope. Because we weren't wearing gloves, because you know.

• 3:39Caleb Hammer?

Was it your immense amount of gravity?

• 3:41Speaker 03

Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. I, I was actually a lot skinnier back then. Like, I was like.

• 3:47Caleb Hammer?

Okay. So what hits your account for VA disability on a monthly basis?

• 3:49Speaker 03

  Uh, about 1,500.

• 3:52Caleb Hammer?

So you're not a hundred percent. You're, what are you like 25?

• 3:55Speaker 03

  Um, I'm actually at 60%.

• 3:57Caleb Hammer?

  Oh.

• 3:58Speaker 03

Which I, I know you hate it, but uh.

• 4:00Caleb Hammer?

  Hate it?

• 4:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 4:01Caleb Hammer?

  Hate what?

• 4:02Speaker 03

You're always, I know you've only had one person on the whole show that hasn't, uh, had VA disability.

• 4:07Caleb Hammer?

  What do I hate?

• 4:08Speaker 03

You hate, well, you hate that, um, that people abuse it.

• 4:14Caleb Hammer?

  Don't you?

• 4:15Speaker 03

  Not necessarily.

• 4:16Caleb Hammer?

Abuse. You use the word abuse. You don't hate abuse?

• 4:20Speaker 03

Well, people abuse the system. But like they-

• 4:23Caleb Hammer?

You don't hate when people abuse the system?

• 4:25Speaker 03

No, I'm just saying. You, you, you hate that people are abusing it.

• 4:29Caleb Hammer?

  Do you not?

• 4:30Speaker 03

No, I'm just saying that you do.

• 4:33Caleb Hammer?

Okay, yes, I don't like when people abuse welfare or disability or student loans or Pell Grants or any system. No, you're right. And we don't have sacred cows. Um, sounds like, I mean, you actually became injured in what you're doing. So that's why I didn't comment on it. And anyway, what's a, okay, what's the point of that?

• 4:53Speaker 03

Um, trying to vindicate myself, basically, of why I deserve the disability. I don't know.

• 5:00Caleb Hammer?

Did I push back against your disability?

• 5:03Speaker 03

No, it's just my own issues are, is part, is, you know, self doubt, you know?

• 5:09Caleb Hammer?

What, brain damage from the fall?

• 5:10Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, definitely. And probably, um, you know,

• 5:16Speaker 03

  other things.

• 5:17Caleb Hammer?

Okay, I guess you even bragged to Colton that I would probably hate that you're on disability. Why would I hate that you're on disability?

• 5:24Speaker 03

  Uh,

• 5:26Caleb Hammer?

you got injured in your service. I want you to have disability. I want anyone who becomes injured or faces mental things through their disability to get even more. The only way to do that is by shutting down those who went and got coached on how to get disability for their acne or things that didn't happen in their service, to be like, no money for you. And let's give money to everyone that needs it and even more so.

• 5:50Speaker 03

It's funny you say that because when I was going through my medical side, like the physical evaluation, they only gave me 5% for my actual hip injury and the rest, and then after I got through the physical process, they're like, would you want to see a therapist? And I was like, yeah, sure. And after talking to the therapist for like an hour, he's like, I think you have anxiety and depression. And that's where like 40-

• 6:10Caleb Hammer?

Correlates it to the military? Cause a lot of people have anxiety and depression outside of that.

• 6:17Caleb Hammer?

  Oh.

• 6:18Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 6:19Caleb Hammer?

Okay. Well, good. I mean, you're working on lines, right?

• 6:23Speaker 03

Um, no, I'm so where I work, we have bays that everybody works in. And uh, basically anything that doesn't require um, a lift, like a lift to lift uh, the vehicle we're working on.

• 6:35Caleb Hammer?

  Uh huh.

• 6:36Speaker 03

Um, I do anything besides like drive units and batteries.

• 6:39Caleb Hammer?

  Is it physical?

• 6:40Speaker 03

Yeah, pr- uh, it it just depends on what what comes into the bay and what we need to work on.

• 6:45Caleb Hammer?

  But your job is physical?

• 6:47Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 6:47Caleb Hammer?

So your injury is not preventing you from doing your job?

• 6:52Speaker 03

No. I would say, I would say, no. Um.

• 6:57Caleb Hammer?

Okay. Okay, so $5,500 a month?

• 7:03Speaker 03

  Um.

• 7:03Caleb Hammer?

  Good!

• 7:04Speaker 03

  I I also.

• 7:04Caleb Hammer?

Again, in Peoria, you should be doing well. Go on, please.

• 7:07Speaker 03

I also have a roommate that pays uh, about $800 a month.

• 7:11Caleb Hammer?

Okay, plus 800. Why the f*** are you here?

• 7:14Speaker 03

Um, well, I I actually went through a divorce because of uh, Pokemon addiction I kinda got into.

• 7:21Caleb Hammer?

The f*** is a Pokemon addiction?

• 7:24Speaker 03

Uh, you know, COVID, sitting at home all day and.

• 7:27Caleb Hammer?

  COVID?

• 7:27Speaker 03

  Yeah, I know.

• 7:28Caleb Hammer?

That was a second ago, big guy. Big guy.

• 7:31Speaker 03

Hey, long COVID, haven't you heard of it? I mean. Long COVID, man. Same thing, just with debt. That sounds like the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

• 7:40Caleb Hammer?

Long debt? You have long debt?

• 7:42Speaker 03

Yeah, just like a lot of people.

• 7:46Caleb Hammer?

Wait, no, no, no. Explain this divorce Pokemon whatever the f***. If that's what got you here, what the f*** are you talking about?

• 7:54Speaker 03

It it it's it's, that's a part of it, but I'm also kinda struggling with buying Legos and it's it's like a whole nother addiction.

• 8:03Caleb Hammer?

  Goes to.

• 8:03Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 8:05Caleb Hammer?

That cures your anxiety and depression, I guess?

• 8:07Speaker 03

It's very therapeutic. One little piece at a time.

• 8:11Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah.

• 8:11Speaker 03

  Everything's cope, so.

• 8:13Speaker 04

  Everything's computer.

• 8:15Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh. So what the f*** was going on?

• 8:19Speaker 03

  So.

• 8:22Speaker 03

Me and me and my ex, we got married and uh.

• 8:26Caleb Hammer?

This is a military marriage, you know, they go quick.

• 8:28Speaker 03

Yeah, yep. Well, and we we we got together, we met each other when we were in high school at a job. And we were together for like two years till she got out of high school and then I was already out in in the military because I was a year ahead of her.

• 8:41Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah.

• 8:42Speaker 03

  And um.

• 8:43Caleb Hammer?

  Parted her.

• 8:43Speaker 03

Mm-hmm. Yeah, you know, grooming. Uh.

• 8:49Caleb Hammer?

It's funny, go on, keep going.

• 8:51Speaker 03

Um, so we, we, we, once she got out of high school and I was already out of the high school for a year, we got married and, uh, we were together for four years.

• 9:01Speaker 05

  Boring.

• 9:03Speaker 03

And he said that I had a tear in my labrum and I need it repaired. Um, even then I kinda had, I started spending on Pokemon and I was, I wasn't as bad as before like COVID.

• 9:14Caleb Hammer?

Well, okay, well, well, you weren't as bad as you were before? What do you mean before? Like, what, what is your Pokemon?

• 9:20Speaker 03

I'd like buy a pack or two and then, um. Sounds like cigarettes, okay. Yeah, pretty much. Every day, just one pack and.

• 9:27Caleb Hammer?

  What?

• 9:28Speaker 03

Pack, strip it through, you know, hope for the best.

• 9:30Caleb Hammer?

  A day? That's insane.

• 9:32Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah.

• 9:33Caleb Hammer?

What's the cost of a pack?

• 9:34Speaker 03

  It's like three bucks.

• 9:35Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, but a day's insane.

• 9:39Caleb Hammer?

Dude, that's, uh, that's over a thousand bucks a year.

• 9:42Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, it definitely added up. And it, I didn't feel it as much, uh, and it was just, like you said, it was a cope, but, uh.

• 9:50Caleb Hammer?

And also I doubt actually at your income level, a thousand hours a year is what puts you under. I hi- I highly, highly, I, you, there's no way you didn't spend more on Pokemon. Come on, you had to have spent much more on Pokemon than that.

• 10:02Speaker 03

Well, so when I, when I got out of the army, I went and, uh, I was a contractor on base, working on, uh.

• 10:09Caleb Hammer?

I have the number, fifteen grand.

• 10:12Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 10:12Caleb Hammer?

  Fifteen thousand on Pokemon.

• 10:15Speaker 03

Yep, and I'm still paying on it.

• 10:16Caleb Hammer?

You're still paying on Pokemon? Pokemon debt?

• 10:19Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 10:19Caleb Hammer?

  Sell your Pokemon's!

• 10:21Speaker 03

I did, actually. I sold it.

• 10:22Caleb Hammer?

You already did. What did you sell?

• 10:24Speaker 03

So I, when she found out about it and she found out how bad it was.

• 10:28Caleb Hammer?

  It's like a collection you're acting.

• 10:30Speaker 03

And I was hiding it like one too, but.

• 10:32Caleb Hammer?

Really? Where were you hiding the Pokemon?

• 10:34Speaker 03

So we had an attic area in our house and I just shoved the box in there.

• 10:37Caleb Hammer?

That's insane. What was the intent of the Pokemon if you had to hide them and you couldn't even like play with them?

• 10:45Speaker 03

Well, I, I, I, I got really into like the Pokemon collection and watching YouTube videos and seeing the values.

• 10:51Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, but you hid them.

• 10:52Speaker 03

  I, uh, yeah.

• 10:53Caleb Hammer?

You didn't even get to enjoy them, bask in their glory.

• 10:56Speaker 03

Well, I, I had them in, um, fold, in, uh, like cases and like kept them so that they wouldn't get bent. And I had them. And so in the attic area, I had like my computer in front of it. So I was like, I'd move my computer out and pull it out.

• 11:10Caleb Hammer?

You hid your computer in the attic?

• 11:12Speaker 03

No, no. So the upstairs area, it's like a large room and that's where I kind of like had a gaming area. And there's like a attic that, oh, a door to the attic where the AC.

• 11:22Caleb Hammer?

You hid the access to the door with your computer setup?

• 11:26Speaker 03

  Kind of.

• 11:26Caleb Hammer?

That's crazy, guy. That is crazy.

• 11:30Speaker 03

And, um, and, uh, so basically when she found out, she said I had to sell them right then or she was gonna divorce me. So I took all the cards and just sold them at a pawn shop for like a third of the price.

• 11:44Caleb Hammer?

And yet she still divorced you?

• 11:46Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 11:51Caleb Hammer?

Lose, lose. Why the did she divorce you?

• 11:54Speaker 03

  Um.

• 11:55Caleb Hammer?

Probably because my insane husband is hiding behind a computer setup. So I don't see a door to the uh crawl space in the attic area where he hides his Pokemons like a dead body.

• 12:11Speaker 03

  Um, so basically like.

• 12:13Caleb Hammer?

  How'd she even find out?

• 12:16Speaker 03

Getting stuff mailed to the door, basically. I'm pretty sure that's why she saw one box and she started looking.

• 12:20Caleb Hammer?

Very bad at hiding addictions, aren't you? Come on, you go through all that link to hide it in your attic and then you don't even vet when things are coming?

• 12:27Speaker 03

Well, I, I, it was like a two year thing. So like it took like two years for her to finally, because she worked the same schedule as me and usually I got off a little bit before her. So it was easier to just grab the package and pretend like it didn't happen.

• 12:41Caleb Hammer?

  Dude, that's insane.

• 12:43Speaker 03

  Um.

• 12:44Caleb Hammer?

I hope you know that. Why'd she divorce you?

• 12:46Speaker 03

So it was about, it was like two years later and, uh, it was after I had gotten out of like fully out of the military. And she, uh, she was struggling. I, I had started to go to therapy for like my anxiety and depression. And I had a really bad issue of like just blowing up constantly about like little things. And I had got.

• 13:07Caleb Hammer?

  Feeding your wife?

• 13:08Speaker 03

  No. Um.

• 13:11Caleb Hammer?

I wasn't the confidence of an answer that I was hoping for.

• 13:14Speaker 03

Well, uh, things got physical, but it wasn't me initiating the physicality.

• 13:19Caleb Hammer?

Uh, this is your opportunity to explain that.

• 13:25Speaker 03

Like I would, anytime we got in an argument, I would try to separate myself from the argument and I'd close doors behind me and she'd try to kick down the doors. And if I tried to leave the house or leave and leaving my truck, she'd try to stop me from leaving my truck, leaving them, leaving.

• 13:44Speaker 03

And it, it went both ways. I'm not, I'm not saying like. And what about your way? Cause I'm only hearing her way so far. So there's one.

• 13:54Speaker 00

• 14:23Speaker 03

There's, there's one time when um, she was cooking something and I uh, I, she gave it to me and I, I tried it and I didn't like it and I told her that. And um, it's kind of hard to remember every detail, but she, she, I, I think I got a little more like verbal, like, like this, I don't like it. And she just kept asking me why? And I was like, I don't like it. I think, I think it tastes bad. And, or it tastes like and I got kind of mean with it. Um, and so she threw, it was like a, it was like a taco or something or some, something with a tortilla. But she threw it at me and I, I got up and I, I was like, and I tried leaving and she just kept getting in my way. So.

• 15:07Speaker 03

So uh, she kicked me and I grabbed her leg and she fell on the ground. Mm hmm.

• 15:15Speaker 03

Uh huh. And then she kept kicking me, so I held on to her leg. Uh huh.

• 15:24Caleb Hammer?

So you guys fought a lot?

• 15:26Speaker 03

Yes, um, and it was, it got better when I went to therapy because I, I was able to like, if I got overstimulated, I could be like, hey, I'm getting kind of upset right now. Give me like five minutes to calm down and we can talk about it. And that was working for like two years. And then, um, we got to a point where I, I just came home from work. I, I was like, hey, I'm going upstairs. I'm gonna go play on my computer and relax. She's like, can I come up and hang out with you? And I was like, yeah, that's fine. And so I had like a chair behind me and she sat there just, and I literally just turned on my computer and it wasn't even turned on yet. And she's like, we really need to clean up here. And, uh, I was like, well. It's bleeped, it's okay.

• 16:10Speaker 03

Uh, I was like, well, you know, I, I just got home from work. I just want like 10 minutes to relax. Like that's all I want. And so she started like cleaning and I'm like, I really need some time to just calm, like relax. Like today wasn't a good day, just give me a few minutes. And she just kept pushing it and, uh, I was like, I'm getting really upset right now. Like just give me five minutes to calm down. And she did not, she would not leave me alone, basically. And, uh, I freaked out, started yelling. Um, she called my mom and, uh, tried to get my mom to talk to me. Cause you must've been freaking out a lot. It was a. You must've been raging, come on. It was, it was full on, it was a, like, I don't even know what, I, I genuinely just lost it.

• 16:55Speaker 03

Uh, and she called my mom and my mom answered. My mom was like, Tony, uh, I don't know what's going on, like what's wrong? What's wrong? And I was like, you're what's wrong? You, you, you're, the way that you were when I was a child is the reason that I is basically blaming her for the rage and, uh, me freaking out like I always did. And then she packed up and left or? No, um.

• 17:20Speaker 03

She, she did leave to a hotel for a little bit, but then she came back and she was like, "I'm not happy. I don't know if I wanna be in this relationship anymore." And she was like, "I'm not sure."

• 17:31Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, who the was happy in this relationship?

• 17:35Speaker 03

And, and we, we, we talked about it and I was like, "It's not like I'm happy either." Like, "I'm not sitting here saying..."

• 17:40Caleb Hammer?

Right, so you, why were you trying to keep her?

• 17:45Speaker 03

Well, so, we, we were talking about it and, um, I was telling her like, "It's not like I'm happy either." Like, "I'm not saying you deserve me freaking out and you, you don't deserve me, "you don't deserve anything that's happened. I'm not sitting here saying that. It's just I'm struggling and I know you're struggling too."

• 18:01Caleb Hammer?

How many times did you put your hands on her?

• 18:05Caleb Hammer?

  Candidly?

• 18:08Speaker 03

  Twice.

• 18:09Caleb Hammer?

  What was the other time?

• 18:10Speaker 03

Um, I, I, I woke up early and I made her coffee and she was complaining about what, "about how I made it and she was trying, and she was trying to leave, so I got in front of her "and kept her from leaving to try to talk to her, because she was trying to go to work."

• 18:28Caleb Hammer?

  Can't do that. And?

• 18:30Speaker 03

And, ba- base- Basically just keeping her from leaving. Like, I just blocked the door from her from leaving.

• 18:39Caleb Hammer?

Uh-huh, but you said you put your hands on her.

• 18:48Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, unhealthy relationship in every way whatsoever, to be clear. And she was physical with you quite often?

• 18:56Speaker 03

It, it was, I, I would say fifty-fifty.

• 18:58Caleb Hammer?

No, neither of you should have, to be clear. Uh, and you guys had a dramatic, a lack of boundaries in every way. You wouldn't let her leave and force her to talk? Horrible. She wouldn't let you have a moment of space after you got home? Horrible. And then your guys' reactions to either of those, horrible.

• 19:17Speaker 03

  And when-

• 19:18Caleb Hammer?

Why the f would you guys be together? Of course I would say breakup. My goodness. Okay, so Pokemons, to be clear, not the reason for the breakup. It's the, oh, we're hitting each other.

• 19:31Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 19:32Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh, yeah. And now you're saying it's gone to Legos?

• 19:37Speaker 03

Yeah, um, so basically my grandma, she got me a Pyramid of Giza for Christmas with a light set. And ever since then, I've just kind of been buying them.

• 19:49Caleb Hammer?

  Last Christmas?

• 19:51Speaker 03

  No, it's been...

• 19:54Speaker 03

Basically, yeah, since my divorce, about five years.

• 19:58Caleb Hammer?

Your divorce is five years ago?

• 19:59Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 20:03Speaker 03

I'm pretty sure. I tried to-

• 20:05Caleb Hammer?

And how much has the Poké- um, continued since then? Cause it was discovered two years before divorce. Divorce is five years ago, so seven years ago.

• 20:14Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:14Caleb Hammer?

How much has the Pokemon addiction continued?

• 20:17Speaker 03

Um, I have some just stored away, but I haven't bought any.

• 20:21Caleb Hammer?

  So it's transitioned to Lego?

• 20:22Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 20:23Caleb Hammer?

For the last five years, tell me about that. And you're spending on Legos?

• 20:26Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 20:27Caleb Hammer?

You said you're still paying for some Pokemon in here, you said? Like, what the f you told me that, okay?

• 20:32Speaker 03

No, no, no, I said, I said I was buying a pack every once in a while.

• 20:36Caleb Hammer?

And you said I'm still paying for that?

• 20:38Speaker 03

Oh, yeah. Well, no, I mean, I'm still paying on it as far as like debt.

• 20:41Caleb Hammer?

Yes, what do you think I just said?

• 20:43Speaker 03

It sounded like you said I was still buying.

• 20:44Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, and Lego?

• 20:47Speaker 03

So, uh, my grandma got me a Pyramid of Giza with like a light set.

• 20:50Caleb Hammer?

We got the light set Pyramid of Giza, yes.

• 20:53Speaker 03

And, uh, so basically I've just bought like one, one every once in a while and, uh-

• 20:57Caleb Hammer?

One every once in a while, I don't know what one every once in a while means to you. And also Legos are so, Legos are so f expensive.

• 21:03Speaker 03

  They are.

• 21:04Caleb Hammer?

• 22:29Caleb Hammer?

So you didn't get rid of an addiction, you translated an addiction to something else.

• 22:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 22:34Caleb Hammer?

Which is often what happens if we don't actually deal with whatever the we're doing. It seems to be maybe your cope for whatever issues you're dealing with. And then that cope has just been translated to another cope instead of actually dealing with it and helping coping mechanisms ways.

• 23:21Caleb Hammer?

Um, oh, good. You used cash advances for Legos. Oh, my.

• 23:29Caleb Hammer?

I didn't think I'd ever read in my life that someone does cash advances for Legos.

• 23:37Caleb Hammer?

Buddy, what are we doing? What are we, have you found a new lady?

• 23:42Speaker 03

  No.

• 23:43Caleb Hammer?

  Are we shocked?

• 23:44Speaker 03

  No.

• 23:44Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, are you trying?

• 23:47Speaker 03

Uh, I mean, I was talking to somebody a bit ago and literally-

• 23:50Caleb Hammer?

  Now she found your collection.

• 23:52Speaker 03

No, we were, we were Snapchatting. I'm Tony, I'm 28, and we're gonna meet the next weekend. And I-

• 23:59Caleb Hammer?

Snapchatting's for [BLEEP] by the way.

• 24:01Speaker 03

Well, we didn't meet through Snapchatting. It's just we're, we talk-

• 24:04Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, but if you transition to Snapchat, that is to [BLEEP].

• 24:08Speaker 03

Basically, she, she had, I messaged her in the morning like, "Hey, I hope you're doing good. How's class going?" Because she was, she was in college for, she was in college for like cosmetology or something. And, um-

• 24:19Caleb Hammer?

How old, how old was she?

• 24:20Speaker 03

  She was 22.

• 24:23Caleb Hammer?

  Nice.

• 24:23Speaker 03

Yeah, um, but basically, I, I looked at her message and she said, "It's going pretty good, lol." And then her account was gone.

• 24:32Caleb Hammer?

  Some-

• 24:33Speaker 03

Like literally blocked on everything. Like, I literally just asked her how's class is going and it was gone.

• 24:38Caleb Hammer?

So you're a gunner, you go for the colleges?

• 24:40Speaker 03

I mean, the younger the better, right?

• 24:45Caleb Hammer?

No. I would say, I, I, in fact, I would say no.

• 24:50Speaker 03

Biologically, yeah. When they're most fertile. Come on, Caleb.

• 24:54Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, my [BLEEP].

• 24:55Speaker 03

Come on, man. Yeah, I don't have a picture of her. Uh, but, uh, um-

• 25:02Caleb Hammer?

I would say, may I, for the sake of society, have your bottom be 21?

• 25:09Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah, for sure.

• 25:12Caleb Hammer?

  Okay, please and thank you.

• 25:14Speaker 03

I was gonna say, I was gonna say, other 21, they're too immature. Usually.

• 25:22Caleb Hammer?

  Uh huh.

• 25:23Speaker 03

  Yeah, I don't have a picture.

• 25:23Caleb Hammer?

Eighteen is legal, but you're not twenty-five anymore. So it's like,

• 25:28Caleb Hammer?

you know, I haven't, I, the last eighteen year old I was with was my ex-wife. So we're good. Not her last name. What did she look like? Um, just I'm sussing you out right now.

• 25:39Speaker 03

  Shorter, blonde. Kinda, I, I.

• 25:43Caleb Hammer?

  Go on.

• 25:45Speaker 03

Not, not, not like thirteen year old short, but you know.

• 25:49Caleb Hammer?

Not suggesting, nor I did not indicate.

• 25:52Speaker 03

  You're implying.

• 25:53Caleb Hammer?

I am not. I just wanted to see what you're going for.

• 25:56Speaker 03

  Not, not that.

• 25:58Caleb Hammer?

No, I don't care. I don't care what two legal consenting adults do. I don't give a I this isn't TikTok or Twitter where we over sensationalize everything. I'm just trying to see.

• 26:09Speaker 03

I'm, I'm really trying to look.

• 26:10Caleb Hammer?

  No saved photos?

• 26:12Speaker 03

  No.

• 26:13Caleb Hammer?

  You guys never met?

• 26:15Speaker 03

No. We were getting ready to that weekend.

• 26:17Caleb Hammer?

  Oh.

• 26:18Speaker 03

And then it was like the Wednesday before I was like, hey, how's it?

• 26:20Caleb Hammer?

  Only, that's it?

• 26:22Speaker 03

The most recent. Um, I, I was with somebody for like a month, um, before, like actual relationship and, uh, she was, she was something else, but. And she was a twenties, early twenties. So, you know, staying within that legal range or okay range.

• 26:39Caleb Hammer?

What do you have to def, why do you have to define it?

• 26:42Speaker 03

Because the way you're still, I don't know, just.

• 26:44Caleb Hammer?

I actually would like to say. I didn't suggest anything about going too young. That was you.

• 26:51Speaker 03

You're implying it. You're implying it heavily, but regardless, I would, I kinda was wondering if you'd buy me the Eiffel Tower.

• 26:59Caleb Hammer?

  You.

• 26:59Speaker 03

  Because I, I, my insider.

• 27:01Caleb Hammer?

You, you want an Eiffel Tower, thirteen year old? I don't want.

• 27:05Speaker 03

I don't, uh, you can be the other leg of the tower, Caleb. Like, come on. I got a hundred and forty dollars of insider credit. All right. So if you just give me a five hundred, I could get the Eiffel Tower and we get this going. I, you get a light set for like a hundred dollars for it, I'm sure.

• 27:20Caleb Hammer?

Show me your light set, your special little light set. We'll put it in video.

• 27:24Speaker 03

  Stream record?

• 27:26Caleb Hammer?

Well, just send us the picture. We'll put it up.

• 27:30Speaker 03

That, that I have because I've put that into a, I've put in an album just for you.

• 27:37Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, here.

• 27:38Speaker 03

That, that's not Lego, that's a off-brand that my mom.

• 27:42Caleb Hammer?

I thought we were doing Lego.

• 27:43Speaker 03

Yeah, well, here's Lego. Here's Lego with a light set.

• 27:47Caleb Hammer?

Okay, it's Notre Dame, I think. Notre Dame, sorry.

• 27:50Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 27:51Caleb Hammer?

And it has lights inside of it.

• 27:54Speaker 03

And here's a Japanese castle with some lights on it, too.

• 27:58Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, it looks like it just got nuked.

• 28:00Speaker 03

That's about right. And here's some plants. A lot of the plants, plant Legos I have, my mom usually gets me because we'll go to like Walmart, it's like, especially if.

• 28:08Caleb Hammer?

Is this why you go for Young? Because you're mentally there?

• 28:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, pretty much.

• 28:12Caleb Hammer?

Oh, my gosh, dude. You didn't have to say that.

• 28:15Speaker 03

Uh, here, and here's a, you know,

• 28:20Speaker 03

  Taj Mahal.

• 28:21Caleb Hammer?

You can smell it from here.

• 28:23Speaker 03

  Uh, Endurance.

• 28:25Caleb Hammer?

I don't know what that is. Okay, yeah, you showed me your collection. I'm really proud of you.

• 28:28Speaker 03

And there's the Titanic, the four-foot long, like 10,000 pieces.

• 28:33Caleb Hammer?

How much debt do you have? Not including your house, because somehow you have been able to scrounge together owning a home. Other than that, how much do you have?

• 28:41Speaker 03

  I think it's around 67,000? 68?

• 28:47Caleb Hammer?

Looking about 73. What the is going on? Why would you continue Lego-ing?

• 28:53Speaker 03

Well, so a majority of that is from actually a roof repair on my house. And also, uh, I, I got a truck.

• 29:04Caleb Hammer?

The truck isn't even half of that, dude.

• 29:06Speaker 03

  No.

• 29:07Caleb Hammer?

  Come on.

• 29:08Speaker 03

So I got the truck, uh, when my car was going through somewhere, my truck, my car, I had a Dodge Journey and it was having some transmission issues. And so I was like, well, just get a truck.

• 29:19Caleb Hammer?

Oh, just get a truck. It solves all the problems.

• 29:23Speaker 03

Well, I took it in to get looked at to get, see if it could be fixed. And they quoted me like 7,000 for, to fix it, or $300 in credit towards another vehicle. And I was like, I basically said that, I'd rather just fix it, get it fixed myself. In which I did. Yes.

• 29:39Caleb Hammer?

Then what the, what are you saying?

• 29:41Speaker 03

Well, so I, I wanted a truck regardless. And, uh, basically I, I spent like a thousand bucks to get my car fixed. Like I bought a transmission off of eBay Motors and got it put in for like $500. Um, and it's been running me good for about a year now. Um, but yeah.

• 30:00Caleb Hammer?

  Uh huh.

• 30:01Speaker 03

So, I kinda wanted the truck because I want, I'd like to, I'd like to start.

• 30:08Caleb Hammer?

  Really excited about this truck.

• 30:09Speaker 03

I, well, I'd like to start working on cars outside of my actual job.

• 30:14Caleb Hammer?

Okay, but I'm being told you already have a dream car from your grandpa. So why, why the are we obsessing with this truck that you probably cannot afford in any way whatsoever?

• 30:26Speaker 03

Well, I, well, first, I used the truck to bring the car to Illinois because my, my grand, when my grandpa passed away, he left me basically a hot rod project and it's not.

• 30:35Caleb Hammer?

What's the car, this dream car?

• 30:37Speaker 03

  It's, it's, it's, it's a rat rod.

• 30:42Caleb Hammer?

That's what the car is called?

• 30:44Speaker 03

  No, it's what it.

• 30:45Caleb Hammer?

  What's the car?

• 30:46Speaker 03

It, it, it's literally just a frame and then body panels.

• 30:52Speaker 03

And I still need to put it together.

• 30:53Caleb Hammer?

Is it drivable? So it's not drivable? So you're not pulling up to schools with it currently? Okay.

• 30:59Speaker 03

Not in that waiting lane yet.

• 31:00Caleb Hammer?

Good. Thank goodness. Okay, so you need a car. Why don't we fix that or sell it? I don't know. It's sentimental. Okay. This is difficult.

• 31:10Speaker 03

Because he died and when he was, when he was currently like in the stages of dying, he said he hoped he could see it completed before he died.

• 31:17Caleb Hammer?

  Mission failed.

• 31:19Speaker 03

Yeah, it's kinda hard when he, I got the car one week and next week he's dead. And I literally called him the day before he died.

• 31:27Caleb Hammer?

Was that his Hall Crocs? Like?

• 31:28Speaker 03

I don't know. It's like as soon as he got in Illinois, he's gone, you know? But I had called him the day before and then he, when I looked at his Facebook profile, because I was looking at the pictures.

• 31:40Caleb Hammer?

That's how you found out he died?

• 31:41Speaker 03

So it's up because I looked at his Facebook and I was unfriended and I'm like, what's going on? And the way, the way I found out he died was somebody said RIP Larry on his profile. And I was like, what the, and I didn't.

• 31:56Caleb Hammer?

It's not funny that you lost your grandpa, but that is such a ridiculous, that is such a ridiculous thing.

• 32:03Speaker 03

It's up because I mess, I mess, I messaged his girlfriend at the time and was like, hey, hey, is.

• 32:09Caleb Hammer?

He was on the prowl as well. Wanna know a dirty little secret? And no, I'm not starting an only. You're not broke because you suck with money. You just can't see where it's going. • 32:48Speaker 03

She was within his age range, so he's good.

• 32:51Caleb Hammer?

What's his age range when you get up there?

• 32:53Speaker 03

About 50, I think, but uh...

• 32:55Caleb Hammer?

  Years difference?

• 32:56Speaker 03

  Yep.

• 32:59Speaker 03

But um, he, so I mess, I texted her like, hey, what's going on with grandpa? He's unfriended me and I didn't even get a message back for like three days. And then I finally found out he'd passed away. I'm like...

• 33:12Caleb Hammer?

That's very, I'm sorry. That's really hard. That's really hard.

• 33:17Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, I'm sorry for your loss.

• 33:18Speaker 03

  And I haven't even really...

• 33:19Caleb Hammer?

And I get the car sentimental with it. I don't want to [bleep] with that. I agree. But I would love you to be able to hopefully drive it and maybe get rid of a truck that we can't afford.

• 33:28Speaker 03

Um, well, and I would like to keep the truck long-term because I, so I got the warranty on it and it...

• 33:37Caleb Hammer?

Come on, car fix guy. You can fix cars.

• 33:39Speaker 03

Well, the engine completely [bleep] out. And I didn't at that point have a way to repair it and that's why I got the...

• 33:45Caleb Hammer?

  Wait, which, on which car?

• 33:48Speaker 03

  The truck.

• 33:49Caleb Hammer?

The truck, the engine already [bleep] itself. The truck that we owe on?

• 33:54Speaker 03

So my big Ram 1500, the Hemi [bleep] out on it, which was common because it doesn't get enough oil pressure to the top of the engine.

• 34:04Caleb Hammer?

I thought we specifically bought this truck because the engine got [bleeped], the transmission got [bleeped] in another car.

• 34:08Speaker 03

  Yeah. And uh, well...

• 34:11Caleb Hammer?

So are you trying to like make this into a business repairing things?

• 34:14Speaker 03

I would like to at some point and I've already, when my...

• 34:17Caleb Hammer?

Oh, I'm being told you want to open it with your mom?

• 34:20Speaker 03

Well, no. So my mom, my mom, she went to school to work on motorcycles and I was like, and I told her like instead of working in a factory, she'd actually do what she enjoys and like actually use the...

• 34:31Caleb Hammer?

How old's mother? You seem like you've been coddled by mother.

• 34:33Speaker 03

  I wish. Um, but she's, she's like in her 50s. She's, she's...

• 34:39Caleb Hammer?

You seem like someone that would still be sucking the tit.

• 34:41Speaker 03

  I mean, I love my mom. I mean... I don't know.

• 34:46Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 34:46Speaker 03

Her tits are a little saggy, but you know.

• 34:48Caleb Hammer?

Okay. Do not start a business with saggy titty mother, please.

• 34:52Speaker 03

No, I wasn't planning on it. I just wanted to help her.

• 34:55Caleb Hammer?

Why did you tell Colton that? Cause I have the note from that.

• 34:57Speaker 03

  Well, because, uh, well.

• 34:59Caleb Hammer?

  Or she wants to.

• 35:00Speaker 03

Right now she's working at a factory and she's not, and she has a degree at like from Phoenix, Arizona for MIT or UTI. I don't know the exact name for it. I don't know the, I forget the exact name for, but it's like the mechanical institute like for, and she took, she went to Phoenix specifically to get the degree and she's not using it. And I, I told her I could help her get it. Like I wanted to help her to like pursue that.

Well, or at least you gotta know, better be related to one in some kinda way to get in, right? And they love you because you have a literal $20,000, $53.99 balance. What the f**k possibly? Is this Lego? Is this Titanic? What is this?

• 37:15Speaker 03

It's, it's Pokemon cards and the cash advances, basically.

• 37:20Caleb Hammer?

For the Pokemons? And for the Lakos? The cash advances for the toys? For the to-

• 37:36Caleb Hammer?

What the f**k? That is insane. In what world possibly is this considered reasonable in any way? Hey, by the way, how long does this take to pay off if you do not purchase on it? And you only put your minimums towards it, which you do?

• 37:50Speaker 03

I think, uh, about like 40 or 50.

• 37:53Caleb Hammer?

31, but that's still crazy. That is crazy.

• 38:00Caleb Hammer?

  You'll be nearing retirement age.

• 38:02Speaker 03

I know, and that, that's kinda part of the reason where I was like, I started seeing your show and I was like, I, I really need to get my f**k together.

• 38:10Caleb Hammer?

  That's great.

• 38:11Speaker 03

  Because we're not-

• 38:13Caleb Hammer?

So you wanted to get your sh** together when you started watching the show, so you would do good things because we had, you know, a bit of money coming last month that NCVA hit, but 4,778 hit from payroll. What was the outflow? What was the outflow? Because you're learning, because you're doing things, you're getting your sh** together, what was the outflow?

• 38:30Speaker 03

Uh, I, I actually have Rocket Money and I, I think it's still like 7.

• 38:34Caleb Hammer?

Close. 7,000, 6,778.59 cents. That was your outflow, so that's getting our sh** together? That's, I'm getting better, that's I've seen the show and I'm turning it around? What the f**k are you talking about? You never, you, did you listen with the volume off? What did, what were you doing?

• 38:49Speaker 03

  Well, it's cra-

• 38:49Caleb Hammer?

Did you turn on the show, go into the other room and just sit there and goon?

• 38:54Speaker 03

Um, it's even crazier because I didn't, I didn't even process the idea that, uh, minimum payment would last like 30 years until I saw your show. And I was like, okay, so I'm-

• 39:07Speaker 03

  And um.

• 39:08Caleb Hammer?

And then you did nothing. Listen, I know when you see the number thirty, you're like, ew, that's disgustingly ancient. That doesn't mean you can't start making progress towards it. You didn't do anything. You didn't do anything.

• 39:20Speaker 03

I'd rather just play with Legos, man.

• 39:21Caleb Hammer?

I'm sorry that it's not a freshly eighteen number.

• 39:27Speaker 03

Hey, those Legos are at least for eighteen year olds, alright? At minimum.

• 39:37Caleb Hammer?

So us getting our shit together is nothing. Because, again, you spent more than you made. So you found the show, oh, I need to get my shit together, here's a wake up call, and then we do nothing with it.

• 39:48Speaker 03

Well, that month, I'm pretty sure I sold. I, I bought a Kia while my truck.

• 39:53Caleb Hammer?

  Had your income.

• 39:54Speaker 03

  Well.

• 39:55Caleb Hammer?

That would be included in your income.

• 39:57Speaker 03

Um, well, I bought a Kia when my truck, in my journey, we're both getting worked on, and I fixed it up a little bit, and like, and I, I actually sold to my mom around that time, and I put the cash in there, I'm pretty sure.

• 40:13Caleb Hammer?

I'm being told you put your closing costs on your house on this card as well.

• 40:17Speaker 03

  I believe so.

• 40:18Caleb Hammer?

That's insane. In what world did you think you were possibly ready for a house if you have to use a credit card for the closing costs?

• 40:25Speaker 03

  Um, well, luckily.

• 40:27Caleb Hammer?

  It'd be already as cheap!

• 40:29Speaker 03

Well, and luckily with the VA loan, it, it was like a thousand dollars for closing costs.

• 40:35Caleb Hammer?

But that's, that's not what that necessarily means at all times. That doesn't mean that's, yes, that makes it easier to get in a housing, that doesn't mean it's necessarily a good thing for you. Because I doubt you had a fully funded emergency fund, and that means your equity position and the leniency of, like, oh, in it, in order to sell your house and not lose money and have to write a check, was probably a micro dick size.

• 40:58Speaker 03

Um, oh, it's, uh, so it's even, I, I just kind of figured, like, instead of putting, like, fifteen hundred towards an apartment, it would be better to put, like, eleven hundred towards a house, and just, like, have that actually.

• 41:10Caleb Hammer?

Not when you can't afford a house, because then it's a disaster.

• 41:14Speaker 03

Uh, and I actually had a, kind of, I, I had roof repairs, which is, that's another loan on there, and I think that, that's like a whole nother story on, uh.

• 41:25Caleb Hammer?

Let me guess, your roof wasn't good, so you had to repair it?

• 41:27Speaker 03

  Uh, yeah.

• 41:28Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, thrilling story.

• 41:29Speaker 03

So, well, I was, I was on the roof, and I kept.

• 41:32Caleb Hammer?

Write a book about that one.

• 41:34Speaker 03

Um, I'll put in my 13 reasons why, um, but I basically, I was on the roof clearing out the gutters. And, uh, I, uh, I, uh, kept, and there was like a weak spot and I, and I saw, I, I felt like I had to get it repaired. And when I was going through the process for the loan, I told him I couldn't get the loan because I had the, my truck payment.

• 41:57Caleb Hammer?

And to clarify, you're joking about the 13 reasons why thing, correct?

• 42:01Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 42:02Caleb Hammer?

Thank you. Cause this would be a different conversation. So, okay. Your minimum monthly payment on here is $496.45. That show pissed out, that show pissed out when it came to the guy bringing the AR-15 to the school.

• 42:22Speaker 03

I, I've literally only seen like reels of it. So that I have not watched it besides reels.

• 42:28Caleb Hammer?

If they were gonna be a full real world house is out there, they pissed out.

• 42:33Speaker 03

Oh yeah. Like, like the Charlie Kirk assassination.

• 42:37Caleb Hammer?

  What?

• 42:38Speaker 03

  That was pretty crazy.

• 42:40Caleb Hammer?

  Yeah, that was crazy.

• 42:42Speaker 03

Uh, did you see the video when it came out or when it happened?

• 42:45Caleb Hammer?

I think everyone saw the video.

• 42:46Speaker 03

  That was.

• 42:47Caleb Hammer?

Many of which against our will.

• 42:49Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 42:49Caleb Hammer?

What, are you the one who did it?

• 42:50Speaker 03

No. I, I like Charlie Kirk. Uh, I.

• 42:58Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 42:58Speaker 03

I'm, I'm, I made him my, uh, uh, banner on Facebook before I deleted Facebook, like a picture of him, like, or like a painting.

• 43:06Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh. What, after the death?

• 43:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 43:08Caleb Hammer?

Well, it's very sad. No one should die.

• 43:10Speaker 03

  No.

• 43:11Caleb Hammer?

  No one anytime should die.

• 43:13Speaker 03

  But yeah, uh.

• 43:15Caleb Hammer?

Well, having this conversation with you, I'm afraid that you're gonna do that to me later.

• 43:23Speaker 03

Buy me an Eiffel Tower. You might not have a problem. Get lights set, you know, you'll really be my good graces.

• 43:28Caleb Hammer?

So I have to bribe you for my life to buy an Eiffel Tower set?

• 43:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 43:35Caleb Hammer?

Okay. Your minimum monthly payment is substantial of $496.45. For your regular paycheck, that's already an eighth of your income. That's huge. That f***ed you. Well, more like a 16th, but even still, no, an eighth, right? Yeah.

• 43:56Caleb Hammer?

You know the holidays are coming when your fridge is full of leftovers and your living room is full of guests. And let me tell you, folding chairs from the garage doesn't cut it anymore. And that is why I started shopping on Wayfair. I got this cozy armchair that looks like it costs a fortune, but I got it during their Black Friday sale for way less. Plus, it showed up fast and I don't have to lift anything heavier than my phone to order it. Wayfair is the go-to for all things home. Furniture, cookware, rugs, holiday decor. Yes, even the inflatable snowman your HOA probably hates.

• 44:29Speaker 06

Absolutely not. No whimsical statuary visible from the street.

• 44:33Caleb Hammer?

And the selection? You're not seeing the same basic stuff every other store has. It's actually fun to scroll. And right now during their Black Friday sale, you can get up to 70% off. Don't miss out on the early Black Friday deals. Head to wayfair.com to shop Wayfair's Black Friday deals for up to 70% off. That is W A Y F A I R dot com. Sale ends December 7th. Now let's get back to the podcast.

• 44:58Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 45:00Caleb Hammer?

When it comes to numbers, you have nothing to say, do you? But when it comes to...

• 45:04Speaker 03

It's, it's hard to argue numbers. Numbers-

• 45:06Caleb Hammer?

Unless it's attached to the pair of tits, right?

• 45:10Speaker 03

Well, you don't see that number.

• 45:11Caleb Hammer?

  But you should clarify it.

• 45:14Speaker 03

Always clarify. Always check IDs before you do anything. Verify age. Make sure it's not a fake ID.

• 45:24Caleb Hammer?

This is a, you'll be happy about this. Or maybe it's too high for you, but I don't know. An 18% interest rate. Dude, the interest charge this year so far is $2,180.74.

• 45:36Speaker 03

I just, I thought I could afford it. I thought, you know, it's just part of my paycheck going out of the way. I thought-

• 45:42Caleb Hammer?

Part of your paycheck, yes. I'd say actually half, more than half of your paycheck has gone to interest this year so far on this card alone. And at the time of this statement, it was, it was just, look at that! The payment. It was just, it was halfway through the year. So this will be an entire month's work that you've done will go to the interest on this card alone, because you're putting dumb [BLEEP] from your down payment, from Legos, from Pokemon, cash advances, and you'd be spending on it if it wasn't borderline maxed out. I know for a fact based on your behavior and the spending that of you spending more money than you make anyway. So, yeah.

• 46:18Speaker 03

  I mean-

• 46:19Caleb Hammer?

A whole month of you out there grinding goes to this interest this year.

• 46:26Speaker 03

Grinding for those Legos, man. Can't be grinding for minors. Come on.

• 46:31Caleb Hammer?

  Stop.

• 46:32Speaker 03

Gotta work. Gotta do Legos. Keep myself distracted.

• 46:35Caleb Hammer?

What? So you don't do that?

• 46:36Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 46:39Caleb Hammer?

Colton, any chance we can get a hard drive check in the post-show? Please. I don't want to look at it either in a more official capacity. Okay. Okay. Yes, grinding for the Legos. I agree. Remember that entire month's worth of income could have gone to Legos, but instead of to Legos, it's going to interest. So that's not grinding for Legos. That's grinding for your previous sets, not future sets.

• 47:05Speaker 03

  And-

• 47:07Caleb Hammer?

  Go on.

• 47:08Speaker 03

  It's just-

• 47:09Caleb Hammer?

What are you trying to say?

• 47:10Speaker 03

It's just easier just to ignore the problem and just kind of set it to the side and not think about it and just-

• 47:18Caleb Hammer?

It is, yeah. Had it under the sand. It absolutely will. But once it gets to the point where you're unable to pay for a mortgage, then what do you do?

• 47:25Speaker 03

Then it just rolls downhill and it everything-

• 47:28Caleb Hammer?

  Explain.

• 47:29Speaker 03

You lose your house. I mean, luckily I've never lost a house. My house in Kansas, I actually lost, I've had to pay a little bit of money in, but and even then I only got like a few hundred bucks out of it.

• 47:42Caleb Hammer?

  You made money.

• 47:44Speaker 03

Like a hundred, few hundred bucks on the one down in Kansas.

• 47:46Caleb Hammer?

You're gonna end up in that situation again, and that's even if you're lucky.

• 47:49Speaker 03

Yeah. According to Zillow, my house is like 160.

• 47:53Caleb Hammer?

Colton wants me to ask to see your wishlist cart currently.

• 47:58Speaker 03

  My Lego Insiders cart?

• 47:59Caleb Hammer?

Your Lego Insiders cart. Yeah, what's sitting in the cart for Lego Insiders?

• 48:03Speaker 03

  Right now it's the-

• 48:04Caleb Hammer?

Let's see. No, just show me. I want to see it. Yeah, I guess you told Colton in the green room before this. He was just so excited. Look at my Legos.

• 48:10Speaker 03

Yeah. Well, it's more the wishlist. The wishlist is where all the stuff is.

• 48:14Caleb Hammer?

  Look at my Legos.

• 48:16Speaker 03

Yeah, in my bag I have the-

• 48:17Caleb Hammer?

I have the Eiffel Tower. Fuck you. And then on the other list?

• 48:20Speaker 03

  Uh, the wishlist.

• 48:23Caleb Hammer?

  Start a screen recording too.

• 48:24Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 48:28Caleb Hammer?

I have nothing against Legos, by the way. I really don't. So I'm here, I have like- Yeah, yeah, show, show, show. Let's see. Give. Give, show. God, I'm afraid to touch this phone.

• 48:39Caleb Hammer?

Five thousand five hundred forty-nine dollars and seventy-one cents sitting in here, you f- We got a Batman Skyline backdrop, uh, uh, uh, X-Wing Starfighter insect collection. I feel like I've seen those, like, just, just that, like, Barnes and Noble and- You got it. Captain Jack Sparrow's pirate ship. Okay, I thought it was called the Black Pearl, but gotcha. There's Jabba's sail barge, the Eiffel Tower, the Milky Way galaxy thing, Concord, which we should bring back, by the way. Bring back the Concord. Let us travel quicker, ladies and gentlemen. Tie interceptor, flower arrangement, instead of, you know, going and getting a date and bringing her real-life flowers. Yeah, that's great.

• 49:23Caleb Hammer?

Vince, Vince the Van Gogh, Starry Night, Vince the Van Gogh, sunflowers, dinosaur fossils, steamboat, vending machine, shuttle aircraft carrier. This is cra- this is crazy. Mineral collection, Mona Lisa. By the way, she looks like she has Down Syndrome when she's the Lego form, so I don't know if we're getting that. I see myself in her, alright. Uh, yeah. Fountain garden, traditional chess set.

• 49:54Caleb Hammer?

Do you play chess? I, I have. What the f are we doing? Trevy Fountain, uh, the Creeper,

• 50:04Caleb Hammer?

the Battle Droid, Enderman Tower, Disney Pixar, mini bus seat, uh, bonsai trees, hibiscus, No Shweshken Castle, Game Boy. That's crazy. This is insane. This is insane. Don't you even come close to considering this. Don't you even come close to considering this. That is all f- That is all f- We are not going into debt for Down Syndrome Mona Lisa. We're not. I'm sorry. We're not. It's a self-portrait. Come on. And then the plants, they'd never die, so just make them, put them there.

• 50:41Caleb Hammer?

I have nothing against Legos. I don't really give a f what, uh, adults do. There's nothing wrong with labels. You're going into debt, and are we surprised that you can't get a girl to meet you? Aren't we not surprised? Do you have a dating profile?

• 50:53Speaker 03

I made a Tinder when I got here.

• 50:55Caleb Hammer?

  When you got to Austin?

• 50:56Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 50:56Caleb Hammer?

Well, we will review that in the post-show with our dating expert, B-Dog.

• 51:01Speaker 03

I don't know if I want his input. I know he went out with a kid recently.

• 51:05Caleb Hammer?

It was an accident and it was.

• 51:07Speaker 03

  Same thing.

• 51:08Caleb Hammer?

And he tried to get her home safely. Instead of abusing his position like you would.

• 51:13Speaker 03

Abusing my age isn't abusing a position.

• 51:17Speaker 03

An age isn't a position, it's constantly changing.

• 51:20Caleb Hammer?

She tried to grab his dick when he was trying to get her home safely. Are you saying you wouldn't allow that? I know for a fact you in your situation would allow it.

• 51:28Speaker 03

No, I've been around kids. I don't let them just.

• 51:32Caleb Hammer?

  It was in his car.

• 51:33Speaker 03

  Same effect.

• 51:36Speaker 03

  Dependency.

• 51:37Caleb Hammer?

He acted very appropriate. I cannot say I have the confidence he would do the same. That's all I'm saying.

• 51:46Caleb Hammer?

  PayPal Credit.

• 51:50Caleb Hammer?

  What's going on?

• 51:51Speaker 03

Uh, that, that, that's kind of my kryptonite right now. It's what I use more than anything, uh, just because.

• 51:58Caleb Hammer?

There is no way you have not gone for a happy massage.

• 52:03Speaker 03

  I actually haven't.

• 52:04Caleb Hammer?

  Come on.

• 52:05Speaker 03

  I really haven't.

• 52:06Caleb Hammer?

The two people I've ever asked that to in the history of the show, I know for a fact haven't, both say they haven't.

• 52:10Speaker 03

I really haven't. Like, I, I had a friend, I had a friend at my work who said that he'd go to them and, but I

• 52:18Speaker 03

I real, I real, I genuinely have not.

• 52:23Caleb Hammer?

  I have heavy doubts.

• 52:24Speaker 03

If I did, you'd say on a statement, wouldn't you?

• 52:26Caleb Hammer?

  Not necessarily.

• 52:28Speaker 03

Happy fun time, please. Happy ending.

• 52:30Speaker 00

  Is that how it works?

• 53:01Speaker 03

You never know. You don't ever see, you won't see a massage on there, though.

• 53:05Caleb Hammer?

Okay, well, you can get a massage. There's nothing wrong with getting a massage.

• 53:09Speaker 03

Yeah, well, I'm just saying you won't see one on there.

• 53:11Caleb Hammer?

Well, maybe it wasn't in this month.

• 53:14Speaker 03

I mean, I got 250 bucks in my pocket.

• 53:16Caleb Hammer?

Like, I don't know if they say on the statement, "We do illegal behavior here."

• 53:21Caleb Hammer?

Okay, so PayPal credit, yes, continue?

• 53:24Speaker 03

  Uh.

• 53:24Caleb Hammer?

But, by the way, fees, great. Why? It was a late fee. Forty-one dollar late fee, asshole.

• 53:33Caleb Hammer?

  Why?

• 53:34Speaker 03

I just didn't, uh, watch my money close enough.

• 53:37Caleb Hammer?

  Why?

• 53:37Speaker 03

And I had, like, a bunch of payments come out at once, and that-

• 53:41Caleb Hammer?

  For what?

• 53:41Speaker 03

  That was on automatic payment.

• 53:42Caleb Hammer?

Isn't that, then that happens every time, if it's automatic, so you should have been able to expect it, and you know that would coming?

• 53:48Speaker 03

I, I, I think that was when my car was getting worked on, and they were, they made me pay, like, three hundred dollars for the electrical diagnosis.

• 53:58Speaker 03

And I just didn't, I just, like you said, I don't have, I don't have a savings or emergency fund, and that's kind of where I'm kind of going back and over and over and constantly at, like, the limit of where I-

• 54:09Caleb Hammer?

The minimum payment is forty-one, right?

• 54:11Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 54:12Caleb Hammer?

  You couldn't make a forty-one dollar payment?

• 54:14Speaker 03

Not, not when that late payment came-

• 54:16Caleb Hammer?

You're hitting, you're going that low in your checking account, bringing in sixty-three hundred dollars a month.

• 54:21Speaker 03

Whenever I have an emergency, yeah.

• 54:23Caleb Hammer?

How much was the emergency, then?

• 54:25Speaker 03

Well, it was, so it was electrical diagnosis-

• 54:28Caleb Hammer?

  Yes, how much?

• 54:29Speaker 03

And they charged, like, three hundred dollars for it.

• 54:30Caleb Hammer?

  Uh, VA did not cover.

• 54:32Speaker 03

  For electric, for-

• 54:33Caleb Hammer?

I don't know, what is it? Wait, what was it?

• 54:35Speaker 03

  A car. A car.

• 54:36Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, it wasn't-

• 54:37Speaker 03

My journey, my journey, my Dodge Journey.

• 54:39Caleb Hammer?

Sorry, I thought it was something medical.

• 54:41Speaker 03

  No, no, no.

• 54:43Caleb Hammer?

Three hundred, so even three hundred makes or break you, making sixty-three?

• 54:48Speaker 03

  Without emergency fund, yeah.

• 54:49Caleb Hammer?

It's not about an emergency, but you should have, you know, you should have a little bit of fluff in your checking account. So, three hundred dollar payment popped up, and that was an emergency that pushed us to the brink, yet in the same month, you spent four hundred seventy-one dollars and sixty-nine cents going out to eat. Make that make sense. Make that make sense, Mr. Tony. Make that make sense.

• 55:10Speaker 03

Some people like, some people like the fluff. I gotta keep the fluff on, you know? I've got-

• 55:15Caleb Hammer?

  The minority.

• 55:15Speaker 03

Gotta be more obese, you know?

• 55:17Caleb Hammer?

The minority like the fluff, unless you're getting yourself a feeder.

• 55:20Speaker 03

  Come pu-

• 55:22Speaker 03

Cushion for the pushing, you know?

• 55:24Caleb Hammer?

Nope. It's not good to be fat. As a fat man,

• 55:29Speaker 03

  I've lost-

• 55:30Caleb Hammer?

It is not good in any way whatsoever. There is no benefit.

• 55:33Speaker 03

  I've lost like thirty pounds.

• 55:34Caleb Hammer?

Not a health, not an age, not a nothing, not energy. There's no benefit.

• 55:38Speaker 03

I've lost like thirty pounds in the past few months.

• 55:40Caleb Hammer?

That's good. Certainly wasn't because you spent five hundred dollars going out to eat. You cannot tell me that you were late making a forty-one dollar payment because you had a three hundred dollar emergency pop up when you spent basically five hundred dollars going out to eat. You cannot tell me that. That is

• 55:59Caleb Hammer?

No sympathy. You would have sympathy with me if all the money coming in was going to minimum payments and minimum payments and living expenses only. Survival. And then something hits that you can't afford. That's an emergency. Yes. But that's not how this worked. You spent five hundred dollars going out to eat. That was the choice. That was you.

• 56:20Speaker 03

The Maydala fries are pretty good.

• 56:22Caleb Hammer?

They are. I love them. I am a fellow F.

• 56:25Speaker 03

Especially when they're, they're like, oh, buy twenty dollars worth of stuff and then you get fries for free. It's like, alright, there we go.

• 56:33Speaker 03

And then everything you buy there is like ten dollars.

• 56:35Caleb Hammer?

Shut the f up. There is no sympathy here. You were choosing that. You cannot complain. You cannot complain about a four, three hundred dollar purchase. Stacking up miscellaneous bullshit alone. Those could be video games. It could be Pokemon Legos. That was six hundred dollars. Double what you said your emergency was that put you in the ground. So you. We're talking minimum and we have other large purchases and unknown shopping that we're gonna go through and find out if it's bullshit. Of an additional thirteen hundred, but either way. Either way, you had at minimum, at minimum. Eleven hundred dollars of bullshit. Minimum. And you're telling me three hundred dollars is what destroyed our life? You.

• 57:18Caleb Hammer?

That is immature. That is irresponsibility. That is not owning up for our own actions. That is not acting like an adult.

• 57:29Caleb Hammer?

That is a loser who was divorced because he couldn't keep his hands off his wife five years ago and stop his addictions and now can't land a single date going out and coping with his life.

• 57:42Speaker 03

  I've had dates.

• 57:43Caleb Hammer?

  Did they know?

• 57:45Speaker 03

I mean, it's not something you talk about on a date, at least not the first date.

• 57:50Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh. Talking to a girl at a bus stop is not a date. Thirty-five percent interest rate. This is insane. This is insane. This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. You are late on that? You allow this in order for you to go to Mickey D's and get some Legos? This is not a life that you deserve as a human on this earth to have, but it is the one that you are choosing to live. Choosing to live again, if everything was barely breaking even because you were just doing necessities and nothing else and you weren't around, you would have my full sympathy, full sympathy and I would cry the tears with you, but you are blowing a minimum $1,100 on bull. Bull.

• 58:32Caleb Hammer?

Over, that is a sixth of your income. The bull. And you cry to me about a $300 payment. You. Capital One Business. Yeah? Big business guy? What's your business? Is this the car repair?

• 58:50Speaker 03

Yeah, I actually, I did make, I did make a LLC.

• 58:55Caleb Hammer?

  LLC, great, really?

• 58:56Speaker 03

I used that card to buy some tools, basically.

• 59:00Caleb Hammer?

Like, oh, you have $150.85 of transaction, so what's that?

• 59:04Speaker 03

Um, I think that was for, uh, Pesty. I, they had a yearly subscription.

• 59:13Caleb Hammer?

  What's a Pesty?

• 59:14Speaker 03

It's like a bug control, like, they, basically a treatment system for your house so that you could keep, like, I was having ants come in my house and I used that card a year before that transaction to pay for it.

• 59:27Caleb Hammer?

$1,501.98 with a minimum payment of $50, $35.34 of interest accrued, only making the minimum and without purchasing a Lido. By the way, this would take 15 years to pay off, so much longer than that.

• 59:41Speaker 03

Well, it has a, Pesty has a yearly subscription plan and I just forgot to-

• 59:45Caleb Hammer?

  I cancelled.

• 59:46Speaker 03

  I did cancel, but-

• 59:47Caleb Hammer?

Good. I mean, it's as easy as that, big guy, but you obviously spent more than just $150 recently to boost it up to this 1500. To your business that doesn't make money, right? Right? Right?

• 59:59Speaker 03

  Right.

• 59:59Caleb Hammer?

I don't want to hear it again.

• 1:00:01Speaker 03

I got a welder, though, so, you know. I've used it a few times.

• 1:00:04Caleb Hammer?

If you want to actually make some money somewhere, I'll get you a course career certification if you look for a change in a career field. Lots of people in our audience have done that and it's boosted their income and they changed jobs. I'll do that for you, but what the is this? Your business isn't a business. It's a hobby and you're justifying it to spend money on interest recovering cards that you cannot pay off. I don't want to hear it.

• 1:00:23Speaker 03

Well, I actually, I, since I was in the VA and I have disability, I also have the GI bill. And I would like to get to the point where I could actually utilize it for-

• 1:00:33Caleb Hammer?

What's that point? What do you view as being that point?

• 1:00:38Speaker 03

Lower payments and kind of have-

• 1:00:40Caleb Hammer?

How can we get there if we spend $1,100 minimum on bullshit likely approaching 1,500 to 2,000?

• 1:00:48Speaker 03

Tighten up and stop buying Legos.

• 1:00:49Caleb Hammer?

Sure, but you don't. So, you haven't been.

• 1:00:52Speaker 03

  I know that.

• 1:00:52Caleb Hammer?

So, you already know what you want to do, but clearly that is not what you care about. You care about the literal $5,000 sitting in your Lego.

• 1:01:00Speaker 03

I know. The Eiffel Tower is calling my name right now, honestly. The Eiffel Tower is really calling my name.

• 1:01:04Caleb Hammer?

Why do we care about the Eiffel Tower? There's a fake one in Vegas.

• 1:01:08Speaker 03

It's French, you know, homeland. You know, enjoy it.

• 1:01:11Caleb Hammer?

  You were born in France?

• 1:01:12Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:01:12Caleb Hammer?

  Shut the up.

• 1:01:15Caleb Hammer?

I mean, you told Colton you were literally, you're going to buy it in the green room. Like, you are going to buy it.

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

I said, if I'm gonna get yelled at it, I might as well buy it.

• 1:01:24Caleb Hammer?

What? That makes no sense. Explain that, because that makes no sense to me.

• 1:01:29Speaker 03

  I just, I, it's, I, it's just, uh,

• 1:01:35Speaker 03

if I'm gonna get yelled at, I might as well buy it. Not, there's no point in getting yelled-

• 1:01:38Caleb Hammer?

You just repeated it again. Can you explain it?

• 1:01:40Speaker 03

There's no point in getting yelled about it, yelled about it if you're not just gonna do it anyways.

• 1:01:49Caleb Hammer?

  Huh?

• 1:01:50Speaker 03

If I'm gonna get yelled about something, I might as well do it.

• 1:01:53Caleb Hammer?

I'm gonna get arrested for something, I may as well do it. What are you talk- like, what is this logic?

• 1:01:57Speaker 03

Well, if I'm getting in trouble for it, why wouldn't I just do it?

• 1:02:00Caleb Hammer?

What? That's the reason, that's not the reason, but that's certainly a negative consequence of doing something, meaning it would be a reason to not do it.

• 1:02:13Speaker 03

Yeah, but then I could also get the dopamine of building it and having it in my collection and I could put lights on it and make it even cooler. And, you know, maybe do some field trips to show it off.

• 1:02:25Caleb Hammer?

Based on everything else you've said in this conversation, this is not making me feel good about you leaving this building.

• 1:02:32Caleb Hammer?

Whoa, $1,457.91 on this pro-form financing. What is this pro-form financing?

• 1:02:38Speaker 03

  So that's actually a treadmill.

• 1:02:43Caleb Hammer?

  Ever used or put together?

• 1:02:45Speaker 03

Yeah, it's in my garage. I have a little, so my house has a three-car, three-bay garage. And one bay I have a weight set and then my treadmill. The other bay is the rat rod and the last bay is where I have like my tools.

• 1:03:00Caleb Hammer?

So, yo, $1,457.91 on the treadmill. Must be a pretty nice treadmill with a $45 minimum monthly payment. Now, this is interest-free. Is there deferred interest?

• 1:03:13Speaker 03

No, as long as I make every single payment.

• 1:03:15Caleb Hammer?

  I don't have a second page.

• 1:03:16Speaker 03

As long as I make every single payment, it'll be interest-free.

• 1:03:22Speaker 03

Which, the reason I kind of-

• 1:03:23Caleb Hammer?

  Equal 39 payments.

• 1:03:25Speaker 03

Which, that's kind of the reason-

• 1:03:27Caleb Hammer?

Forty-five. Okay, yeah, that is true.

• 1:03:28Speaker 03

That's kind of the reason I went for it is because I was already paying for a gym membership.

• 1:03:33Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, sure, I get that. But here's the thing, with you, the fact is, you're just adding more debt to the pile, more minimum payments to the pile that you can no longer control. And with that, again, remember, you have a $45 payment here, the $41 payment from the PayPal credit you missed. Like, adding more minimum payment, a gym you can cancel, you can go on walks. I would like you to have a gym, absolutely. But worse comes to worse, you can get rid of it. You can't get rid of this. You can try to sell it, but you're not gonna be able to eat the entire amount. So with this, you're just adding more to the pile of minimum payments that you cannot control and it's gonna [bleep] you come time for another $300 payment to hit.

• 1:04:08Speaker 03

It's also got a four-year warranty on it, so if anything breaks-

• 1:04:11Caleb Hammer?

Good, I don't give a [bleep] listen. A gym doesn't have a warranty, doesn't need a warranty, they'll fix their [bleep]. This makes no sense. This is you are obligated to pay a legally contracted $1,500. You can cancel a gym. Now, again, I want you to go to the gym, but you're in a situation where you literally told me you couldn't make a $41 minimum payment on the PayPal. You were late on that. Why would I want and advocate for you adding a $45 minimum payment from this pro-form financing? Even if it is for an item on a payment plan that is decent? Uh...

• 1:07:34Speaker 03

It's just easier. It just makes it easier and it makes it. I figured it would be worth it in the sense of having the availability. Just, oh, go out to the garage, work out, go.

• 1:07:46Caleb Hammer?

Sure, but you can also run outside or walk outside as well or jog outside, whatever you're doing on the treadmill.

• 1:07:51Speaker 03

  It's just easier.

• 1:07:52Caleb Hammer?

Also, you're in Peoria. It's not even that hot.

• 1:07:55Speaker 03

  It's been pretty hot.

• 1:07:56Caleb Hammer?

Shut the f* up. It's not hot. I am from the Midwest. Shut the f* up. You don't know hot. You've never heard hot in your life.

• 1:08:01Speaker 03

It's actually, my garage is actually cooler because of.

• 1:08:04Caleb Hammer?

No, it doesn't matter. You are not hot outside. It is okay. Go, run, jog.

• 1:08:09Speaker 03

  90 degrees is pretty hot.

• 1:08:10Caleb Hammer?

Oh, 90 degrees. Oh, it sounds like a nice fall day. Shut the f* up.

• 1:08:13Speaker 03

No, 70 degrees is a nice fall day.

• 1:08:15Caleb Hammer?

Exactly. That's what I'm saying. It's not hot there. Shut up. You're fine. People run here at 110.

• 1:08:21Speaker 03

I got a bad hip. It just makes it easier having the smooth, constant taste.

• 1:08:25Caleb Hammer?

But then go to the gym to do it again. You can, if you cannot afford a $42 minimum payment, you cannot afford this. It is good financing. It is a good purchase.

• 1:08:34Speaker 03

The gym membership was thirty, so forty-five.

• 1:08:38Caleb Hammer?

Of which you can get out of when you need to, and thirty's cheaper. I don't know if you know how numbers work.

• 1:08:41Speaker 03

It is cheaper, but long-term, forty-five, I would have that. And on top of the four-year warranty, it just ensures that long-term investment.

• 1:08:51Caleb Hammer?

Shut the [__] up. Affirm, what is going on? I hear you were unable to pull it up, as my document says. He couldn't figure it out.

• 1:09:03Caleb Hammer?

What the [__], what is even the affirm?

• 1:09:05Speaker 03

So, um, my sister actually asked, has been asking me to take her to a Billie Eilish concert.

• 1:09:14Speaker 03

And, uh, so basically I just affirmed the tickets and the whole, basically the whole travel plan.

• 1:09:20Caleb Hammer?

  It was twelve hundred?

• 1:09:21Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:09:21Caleb Hammer?

  The whole thing?

• 1:09:22Speaker 03

  Pretty much. Oh, well, so...

• 1:09:24Caleb Hammer?

She's great. I've seen her in concert. You can't afford it. [__] your sister. I don't care.

• 1:09:27Speaker 03

The, the concert was like six hundred, and then basically, uh, that, that's the flights and the Expedia package.

• 1:09:38Caleb Hammer?

  Where's the concert?

• 1:09:40Speaker 03

  Florida. Uh, Miami.

• 1:09:41Caleb Hammer?

Why'd you go to the Florida one? Do something closer. Also, you can't afford it. And listen, again, we all love Billie Eilish, especially us gooners. They are substantial. But you cannot afford this in any way whatsoever, especially for double people.

• 1:09:54Speaker 03

Um, well, we're actually bringing her, her boyfriend's daughter with us, because she, she promised her that she, my sister promised her.

• 1:10:03Caleb Hammer?

  Did you pay for that?

• 1:10:04Speaker 03

  No, so...

• 1:10:05Caleb Hammer?

But you paid for your sister.

• 1:10:06Speaker 03

I paid, I paid, I paid the majority.

• 1:10:09Caleb Hammer?

  How old's your sister?

• 1:10:10Speaker 03

  She's twenty-six.

• 1:10:12Caleb Hammer?

Cute. She can pay for her own damn tickets. You can't afford this. You can't afford you going alone.

• 1:10:16Speaker 03

She, she actually gave me, uh, eight hundred dollars towards the total.

• 1:10:20Caleb Hammer?

Great. You still can't go. You shouldn't. This is not something you can do. I don't want you to have these experiences, but not when you've done everything in your life to just live for fun now and pay for it later. Now is later. You can't do it. You're still paying for your McDonald's from three years ago. Like, this doesn't make sense anymore. This is what a responsible adult does. Sacrifices.

• 1:10:41Speaker 03

She's been asking to go for like the past two years.

• 1:10:43Caleb Hammer?

Good, she can go then. She can go then. She can go then. She, is she...

• 1:10:49Speaker 03

We have the same mom, so probably.

• 1:10:50Caleb Hammer?

She's 26, she can go herself, she can go with, I hear she has a boyfriend, that's the rumor I heard.

• 1:10:56Speaker 03

He, he, he's not, he doesn't like going to social stuff.

• 1:10:59Caleb Hammer?

Doesn't matter, she can still go and with the kid as well.

• 1:11:01Speaker 03

Um, yeah, well, and it's funny because when I landed in Dallas.

• 1:11:06Caleb Hammer?

  That's hilarious.

• 1:11:07Speaker 03

She, uh, messaged me saying that she wants to go see Korn a- at some point.

• 1:11:11Caleb Hammer?

I don't, I still don't care what she wants to see. Why does she want to see matter at all in any way whatsoever? You are not her, you are not her father, you are not her boyfriend, I don't give a [bleep]. If you can afford it, then you do it and we celebrate that. You cannot. You are still paying for Pokemon literally over five years ago. So I do not want to hear this, Korn. Shut up.

• 1:11:30Speaker 03

Well, she, she's done a lot for me. I'd rather just, you know, enjoy, I want to spend time with my sister.

• 1:11:36Caleb Hammer?

Spend time with your sister, you do not need to spend $1,200 to spend time with your sister, and if you do, she's a bad sister.

• 1:11:41Speaker 03

Well, it's either that or we go out and get plastered on Everclear, so you know, it's, it's one or the other.

• 1:11:47Caleb Hammer?

You can't go to a park and enjoy the sunset?

• 1:11:50Speaker 03

No. It's easier to talk and have a, have a conversation when you're drunk.

• 1:11:56Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, your life sucks.

• 1:12:01Caleb Hammer?

What's your minimum monthly payment to a firm?

• 1:12:03Speaker 03

Um, I think it's like $200 because I did the zero interest of paid in this amount of time.

• 1:12:09Caleb Hammer?

Reminder, you can't make a $41 payment, so we'll see how this goes. Especially, look, now we have another substantial minimum payment, this must be the truck, right?

• 1:12:18Speaker 03

  That's the truck.

• 1:12:19Caleb Hammer?

  $40,648.77?

• 1:12:22Speaker 03

That's the truck and roof repair.

• 1:12:24Caleb Hammer?

  What?

• 1:12:24Speaker 03

So when I was going through the roof repair, or when I was looking into it, they, they offered to give me cash to put towards the truck to make the payment for the roof repair more, uh, feasible.

• 1:12:34Caleb Hammer?

How much did the roof repair cost?

• 1:12:36Speaker 03

Uh, 23. And then they gave me 17 to pay towards my truck.

• 1:12:43Caleb Hammer?

  What's the truck worth?

• 1:12:45Speaker 03

  Um, I actually took-

• 1:12:46Caleb Hammer?

  Today?

• 1:12:47Speaker 03

I actually took it in to see if I couldn't, uh, sell it and they just, they said they'd give me eight for it.

• 1:12:53Caleb Hammer?

You'll forty thousand dollars on an eight thousand dollar truck.

• 1:12:57Speaker 03

Well, it's the roof and the truck. It's the roof and the truck.

• 1:13:00Caleb Hammer?

But the debt is likely tied to it. You have a forty thousand dollar debt lien on an eight thousand dollar truck that is insane.

• 1:13:09Speaker 03

I don't know if that, that is leaned against the truck. Because they didn't, they don't have the title for it.

• 1:13:15Caleb Hammer?

What's the interest rate on this?

• 1:13:16Speaker 03

  Fifteen percent.

• 1:13:22Caleb Hammer?

For something we are underwater on by thirty-two thousand dollars. Thirty-two thousand dollars underwater, underwater by over-

• 1:13:30Speaker 03

  The, the original-

• 1:13:31Caleb Hammer?

Shut up, seventy-five percent over that, and then we have a fifteen percent interest rate of death on that? Oh my gosh, guy. Oh my goodness, what have you done?

• 1:13:44Speaker 03

The original interest rate on the truck when I first got it was like eighteen.

• 1:13:49Speaker 03

So I saw fifteen, I thought it'd be better.

• 1:13:57Caleb Hammer?

Oh, and you're considering solar. He's considering financing solar.

• 1:14:02Speaker 03

  Leasing.

• 1:14:03Caleb Hammer?

You live in the Midwest! Clouds!

• 1:14:09Speaker 03

  They, they did the, uh-

• 1:14:10Caleb Hammer?

  Clouds!

• 1:14:11Speaker 03

They did the service and they said I could-

• 1:14:12Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, the salesman said what? What did the salesman say?

• 1:14:15Speaker 03

Uh, fi- one hundred and fifty dollars a month, a two point five percent increase.

• 1:14:21Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:14:22Speaker 03

For leasing the solar panels and they would prepare the rest of my roof, basically.

• 1:14:26Caleb Hammer?

Uh huh, uh huh, uh huh. Okay, now Mr. B-Dog Brandon, the one vetting your profile, the translator, you know him, you love him. Sold Solers, uh, door to door at one point, please, tell us, how good of a deal is he getting?

• 1:14:41Speaker 03

  You're getting fucked.

• 1:14:45Caleb Hammer?

Do not consider this. Do not consider this. He literally sold this product. He's doing the exact, he did the exact same job that you are being sold to.

• 1:14:57Speaker 03

My, my, my electric bill is like $300.

• 1:15:00Caleb Hammer?

Oh my goodness, he fell for every talking point. He fell for every talking point and he's now parroting them.

• 1:15:06Speaker 03

  Dude, are you kidding me?

• 1:15:08Caleb Hammer?

Solar can be good. If you're in Arizona, Texas, or California, you ain't, you ain't, you tit.

• 1:15:16Speaker 03

The roof repair is the main reason I was interested in it because.

• 1:15:19Caleb Hammer?

  Your roof has been repaired.

• 1:15:20Speaker 03

Well, no, that, that, that loan was for like a, my roof is huge. Like there's multiple layers and multiple angles. And so the solar.

• 1:15:28Caleb Hammer?

You have a McMansion? Well, how many square feet you got?

• 1:15:30Speaker 03

  I don't, I don't know the.

• 1:15:31Caleb Hammer?

How many square feet you got?

• 1:15:32Speaker 03

I don't know the exact square feet.

• 1:15:35Caleb Hammer?

How many bed, how many bath?

• 1:15:37Speaker 03

Uh, it's three bed, two baths. And there's also another room which I would consider a bedroom, but.

• 1:15:43Caleb Hammer?

  It's an office, probably.

• 1:15:44Speaker 03

It, it's a pretty good size though. You fit a bed.

• 1:15:46Caleb Hammer?

  But it's an office.

• 1:15:47Speaker 03

Yeah, I use it as my.

• 1:15:48Caleb Hammer?

Okay, you probably have like a 15 to 2,000 square foot. 1500 to 2,000 square foot house. Your roof isn't that crazy.

• 1:15:57Speaker 03

If you saw it, you'd understand.

• 1:15:59Caleb Hammer?

It probably has weird McMansion crevies. Yeah.

• 1:16:01Speaker 03

  You'd understand.

• 1:16:02Caleb Hammer?

I get it. I know, I know houses.

• 1:16:04Speaker 03

But basically the, they said that they repair the whole garage roof and then the, basically anywhere the solar panels are going. Which is my garage and then the.

• 1:16:12Caleb Hammer?

You're getting these fucking solar panels?

• 1:16:14Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:16:14Caleb Hammer?

Oh my goodness. No, you're convinced. You're sold. You've been sold.

• 1:16:17Speaker 03

I was in the process of actually doing it and then they canceled it. And I think it was because of the tariffs. Like because when, you know.

• 1:16:24Caleb Hammer?

  They canceled?

• 1:16:24Speaker 03

I think so because I just looked at it and said, uh, pending, pending, pending, pending. And it's been like that for the past like two years.

• 1:16:31Caleb Hammer?

Good. Let it be pending forever, please. Please. 15% on a car underwater by over 75%. Disgusting. Disgusting in every way whatsoever. Another Navy Federal. This looks like a personal loan, right? What's this for?

• 1:16:50Speaker 03

I think that that might be for the.

• 1:16:54Caleb Hammer?

  The what?

• 1:16:54Speaker 03

  For the truck.

• 1:16:56Caleb Hammer?

A second debt on the truck?

• 1:16:57Speaker 03

Well, so like I said, the, the roof repair loan, they gave me 17 to put towards the truck. But I still had 4,000 that I had to go that I needed the finance. And I wanted to get out of the loan that I was in with a different bank than Navy Federal. Because it was at 18% and so I went to a lower interest rate.

• 1:17:16Caleb Hammer?

  Ladies and gentlemen,

this is one of you. Every single person who comes on the show, watches the show and is from the audience. This is one of you. This is your neighbor. This is your friend. This is your family. We do not talk about personal finances in this capacity in this country. This is what people are doing out there. This is the most, this is insane. What the actual potential fuck?

• 1:17:42Speaker 03

Well, that's part of what ruined my marriage is not talking about finances.

• 1:17:45Caleb Hammer?

• 1:18:45Speaker 03

  So like Brandon's type.

• 1:18:46Caleb Hammer?

  Yes, exactly. Okay, you're parasocial.

• 1:18:50Caleb Hammer?

Whatever happened to just classic, why do we gotta bring tentacles into things? Why do we gotta bring?

• 1:18:55Speaker 03

Why do we have Jeffrey, Jeffrey Epstein's island, man?

• 1:18:58Caleb Hammer?

I don't know. I feel like you would be better to answer that.

• 1:19:01Speaker 03

• 1:19:35Caleb Hammer?

Listen, I've made crazy jokes in my life, I've made crazy jokes in group chats. Listen, I've gotten cooked for them, but they're jokes, you are going too far on this. This is crazy. This is absolutely crazy.

• 1:19:52Caleb Hammer?

The minimum monthly payment. Uh, $92? This is gonna take forever to pay off. $92.18.

• 1:20:15Speaker 03

Yeah, I think it's that low because I got the longest term.

• 1:20:19Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, and an 11% interest rate.

• 1:20:21Speaker 03

  It's like 17 months.

• 1:20:26Caleb Hammer?

  Mortgage.

• 1:20:29Caleb Hammer?

  $142,544.58.

• 1:20:35Caleb Hammer?

  5.25% interest rate, not bad.

• 1:20:38Speaker 03

  It was originally like 7.125.

• 1:20:41Caleb Hammer?

  You refinanced?

• 1:20:42Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:20:43Caleb Hammer?

  Or you bought down, okay.

• 1:20:44Speaker 03

  I refinanced to the 5.25.

• 1:20:46Caleb Hammer?

  Interesting. $1,187.42.

• 1:20:53Caleb Hammer?

Type in your address, big boy.

• 1:21:04Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, you'd pretty much break even if you sold today. Except not really, because you have the closing costs on a credit card. But you'd break even after all fees and realtor and bull-

• 1:21:14Speaker 03

William Zillo always goes more than it's actually worth.

• 1:21:16Caleb Hammer?

Yeah, Zillo gets a little excited. Not a bad house, though. It's cute. His roof is not that crazy. It's a couple-layered roof, and he tried to make it sound like it was something insane.

• 1:21:27Speaker 03

  Well, it also goes-

• 1:21:28Caleb Hammer?

  Buddy, it's a fucking roof!

• 1:21:30Speaker 03

  It's got angles.

• 1:21:31Caleb Hammer?

It has angles, guys. His roof has angles.

• 1:21:33Speaker 03

  More angles than a 13-year-old.

• 1:21:35Caleb Hammer?

Shut up! Come on, man. It's a fucking house. Calm down. You're a tit, dude. You're a fucking tit. It's not a bad house. You'd break even today, so I'm okay with that. Okay? It's a cute

• 1:21:49Caleb Hammer?

cute house. $419 in our checking account, $414. Five in savings. It's not good.

• 1:21:59Caleb Hammer?

ATM withdrawal, who knows where that went?

• 1:22:04Caleb Hammer?

$23. Stopping in the gas station, getting $3.19 of what?

• 1:22:09Speaker 03

  Probably an energy drink.

• 1:22:10Caleb Hammer?

Exactly! That's why the fucking gamer stuff, dude! The gamer, it's 25 cents a serving. Here, what do you want? Which one do you want?

• 1:22:17Speaker 03

• 1:22:36Speaker 03

  I'll still try it.

• 1:22:37Caleb Hammer?

25 cents a serving instead of your stupid $4 purchase.

• 1:22:41Speaker 03

Well, actually, I have a Costco membership, too. Which I've been getting Alani from Costco.

• 1:22:47Caleb Hammer?

That's good for buying a box. This is still cheaper, though. It's like making your coffee instead of going to Starbucks.

• 1:22:52Speaker 03

Yeah, give it a good shake, give it a good shake.

• 1:22:56Caleb Hammer?

Hey, stopped in, got some more bullsh- Give it more of a shake, dude, you gotta shake for like thirty seconds.

• 1:23:01Speaker 03

  So you got Bumble too?

• 1:23:54Speaker 03

  Well, no, uh-

• 1:23:54Caleb Hammer?

Deleted it? You're paying for it.

• 1:23:56Speaker 03

Well, when that girl like, uh, deleted me off everything, I just deleted it, I was like, this.

• 1:24:02Speaker 03

  And I, I, anytime I get a-

• 1:24:03Caleb Hammer?

Theme game, going in, getting an energy drink, more Bumble. Car wash, come on, it's not even winter yet, you, Amazon Sonic, car wash, you, it's not even winter yet. • 1:24:49Caleb Hammer?

Went in, got some bull- In the gas station, Amazon, Ghost Invasion, Ghost Invasion, Ghost Invasion, this is sad and disgusting and depressing. Getting an energy drink, Culvers, now that's good. But you still can't afford it, Kobe revolving sushi, Kobe, uh, Legend of Slime or whatever the, Amazon.

• 1:25:40Caleb Hammer?

At $8,179. Is that the company you work at? Yeah. The car one? Yeah. Oh, that's cool. We're bleeping it for the name, but I know they had a factory there, but it is the Rust Belt. Well, it's in, it's in, that's where the factory is, specifically.

• 1:25:59Caleb Hammer?

I'll be honest, many things you've said in this conversation have been concerning. And the way you had a relationship with the ex is concerning, and then just everything, it's all concerning. That's why I'm single right now. Part of the reason.

• 1:26:12Caleb Hammer?

Okay, 6,300, we're printing for the income, alright? Debt payments, Navy Federal Credit Card, $486.45, PayPal Credit, $41, $50 for the Capital One Business, $45 for the pro forma financing, $200 for a firm, $641.91 for the truck and roof, and then the truck 2.0 is $92.18, and then we'll do the mortgage separately, but your debt minimum payment is not including mortgage is $1,566.54.

• 1:26:50Caleb Hammer?

Then our mortgage is sitting at $1,187.42. Now, utilities and everything combined, internet, utilities, gas, electric, what, how much? Um, I think it's like...

• 1:27:04Speaker 03

  Five hundred? Four hundred?

• 1:27:06Caleb Hammer?

  I'll do five. Phone bill?

• 1:27:08Speaker 03

Uh, eighty. And I actually, I, um, where I work, they offer a phone, like stipend, or like, basically like-

• 1:27:19Caleb Hammer?

Do it. Does it cover that amount?

• 1:27:19Speaker 03

Yeah, well, no, no, I do. I do, I do. Like, if, every month, I have to submit my bill and they'll-

• 1:27:23Caleb Hammer?

That's a good in your pay?

• 1:27:25Speaker 03

Yes, I think, I think it is.

• 1:27:25Caleb Hammer?

Okay, so then it's eighty bucks. Um, and remember, uh, we did include the rent that his roommate gives him and that sixty-three that comes in. So hopefully that person doesn't leave, or else you get f***ing eight hundred bucks. But either, either way. Well- Gas, room, from drive, drive. How much a month?

• 1:27:40Speaker 03

Uh, probably like a hundred bucks, if I had to guess.

• 1:27:45Caleb Hammer?

You just sit inside getting in-app purchases all day?

• 1:27:47Speaker 03

Minecraft, man. I'm playing it constantly.

• 1:27:50Caleb Hammer?

  Oh, we know. Car insurance?

• 1:27:54Speaker 03

Uh, I think it's like, my last bill was like one twenty.

• 1:27:58Caleb Hammer?

Okay. You can do three hundred dollars of food, groceries, meal plan, cook a few times a week, warm it up, lots of overnight oats. You're gonna be doing good yummy things. It's all healthy. It's three meals a day plus snack and dessert. You'll be fine. Meal prep.

• 1:28:11Speaker 03

I actually got overnight oats from Costco, because they have like a bigger box.

• 1:28:15Caleb Hammer?

Okay, that's probably a more expensive way to do it, but we'll see. Hundred dollars for TV fun, anything else you need to survive? Medical or healthcare? You have copays and stuff to do?

• 1:28:22Speaker 03

Um, I have VA, uh, medical, so-

• 1:28:25Caleb Hammer?

  Okay.

• 1:28:26Speaker 03

  Besides like-

• 1:28:27Caleb Hammer?

Subscriptions. Let's try to do fifty, because you got some games. You have any pets, please? No?

• 1:28:31Speaker 03

  I have a dog.

• 1:28:32Caleb Hammer?

  Agent Health?

• 1:28:33Speaker 03

  Uh, he's a five, and he's, he's pretty good.

• 1:28:34Caleb Hammer?

Fifty dollars for pet insurance. How much for dog food?

• 1:28:37Speaker 03

  Um, I'd say like,

• 1:28:40Speaker 03

thirty bucks a month. I just get a big-

• 1:28:42Caleb Hammer?

Anything else that needs to be in your budget that I have not taken into account?

• 1:28:46Speaker 03

  Um, I don't believe so.

• 1:28:49Caleb Hammer?

Okay, well, we got wiggle room for days, meaning your death situation's absolutely moronic. So, four thousand eighty-three dollars. So what I will do is give you, what is that? Four hundred seventeen, four hundred, sixteen dollars for fun in your budget?

• 1:29:05Speaker 03

  Oh.

• 1:29:06Caleb Hammer?

It brings you to 4,500, 6,300 divided by 4,500. That means you have an extra $1,800 even after fund because you being in this debt is the dumbest piece of shit. No reason for you to be in debt.

• 1:29:19Speaker 03

I might be able to get the Eiffel Tower with that.

• 1:29:21Caleb Hammer?

Shut the up. You have 72,000 dollars of bad debt, $1,800 a month to put towards it. It takes 40 months to pay off. That is not that bad given how substantial the debt is. Just over three years. Call it four years when we get the entire emergency fund and everything together. You have a little wiggle room there. You're totally fine. Dude, this is gonna be a little bit of a grind, but I gave you fun money. Go off. Go off. Go off.

• 1:29:44Speaker 03

Well, I actually got in an argument with a friend about, uh, about, uh, wanting to like tighten down recently.

• 1:29:54Speaker 03

Because I told him I was kind of looking at jet skis and then he started buying jet skis and said he was really looking forward to me buying a jet ski from him. And I was like, I can't. And I got in a little bit of a confrontation about it.

• 1:30:03Caleb Hammer?

Great. Maybe we'll talk more about that in the post show. We're also gonna call his mom in the post show and do the dating app. Uh, do the dating app audit as well. But let's get his Hammer Financial Score. Hammer Financial Score, spending a budget, overspend, zero out of 10. Debt, no collections. He could pay off this debt. He's being moronic with it and he missed a payment, but it's a two out of 10 debt wise. Emergency fund, there was nothing, zero out of 10. Retirement, definitely behind for your age, but at least you got something there. I'm gonna give it a two out of 10. Real estate, real estate, yeah. I mean, you're break even. You don't have an incredible equity position. You still gotta do some things to the roof, it sounds like. So I'm gonna give it a six out of 10. Because of some things you just gotta take care of and then get more of a position in the marketplace.

• 1:30:43Caleb Hammer?

Now, more than ever, we need someone on our side. But Rob Whitman? Whitman's votes drove up costs, cut Medicaid, and risked 350,000 Virginians' health care to pay for tax breaks for himself and his donors. He's not on our side. Shannon Taylor will fight corruption, cut taxes, and bring down costs. This November, vote for Shannon Taylor. She's for us. Paid for by HMP, the HouseMajorityPac.com.
