Is this thing on? What's up, babies? Welcome to another episode of Dumb Blonde. Today's guest isn't just a rising star, she's a walking, fire-breathing lyrical assassin. She sings what most people are afraid to say out loud and she does it with zero apologies, Miss Jessie Murph.

• 1:25Speaker 01

  Hello.

• 1:26Bunnie XO?

Hi, baby. It's been a long time coming. I have been wanting you on the podcast forever.

• 1:31Speaker 01

Dude, I'm so glad I'm here. I feel like we've never gotten to like actually talk. We're always in very loud environments.

• 1:35Bunnie XO?

  Yes.

• 1:36Speaker 01

And it's like a quick passing thing, so I'm excited.

• 1:38Bunnie XO?

Yeah, I'm excited to get to hang with you for a little bit. Last time I saw you, we were on the red carpet at the ACMs and you had Wilbur with you.

• 1:48Speaker 01

  Oh, my God.

• 1:48Bunnie XO?

Tell me the story about Wilbur because he went completely viral.

• 1:52Speaker 01

Dude, he was the star of the carpet.

• 1:53Bunnie XO?

It was wild, right? I know that I literally ran up and I was like, oh, my God, Wilbur. And then I'm like, you don't want a pig. Like, that's the first thing. I'm like, I got three at home. They fucking uproot everything, dude. Like, tell me the story about Wilbur.

• 2:07Speaker 01

  Wait, are your pigs here?

• 2:08Bunnie XO?

No, this is just my studio.

• 2:10Speaker 01

That makes sense. I was like, damn, y'all got a pink staircase. That's so lit.

• 2:13Bunnie XO?

Ah, yeah, no, this is just my girl cave.

• 2:17Speaker 01

Wilbur, I've always wanted a miniature pig, like my whole life. I feel like I told you that on the carpet, but um, and friends of ours have them. And then so I asked him to be my date and he came with me and he was great. I don't know.

• 2:31Bunnie XO?

How did you get the ACMs to approve that? Because I would think that bringing livestock on the carpet, they would be like, no.

• 2:37Speaker 01

Dude, I don't think we asked. I think we just kind of.

• 2:39Bunnie XO?

  I love that.

• 2:40Speaker 01

What were they gonna say, like?

• 2:41Bunnie XO?

Ask for forgiveness instead of permission. I love that.

• 2:43Speaker 01

  Dude, that's my biggest motto.

• 2:45Bunnie XO?

Yeah, that's how you have to be through life.

• 2:47Speaker 01

  Hundred percent.

• 2:48Bunnie XO?

So did you end up keeping Wilbur?

• 2:50Speaker 01

Oh, but I'm gonna visit him when I go to Texas. Like my place won't let me have a 300 pound pig.

• 2:55Bunnie XO?

Is he gonna end up being 300 pounds?

• 2:58Speaker 01

  That's what they say.

• 2:59Bunnie XO?

I actually have owned two pigs. I owned two pigs before the three that we have right now. The three that we have right now are actually mini pigs and they're probably like, what? They're Cooney Coonies, so they're, so they're like 100 pounds. They're like little beefcakes. I call them my golden girls. They're so cute. But I did have two, one that was named Lunch and one, I forget what, Chop Suey. I know the other one, his name was Chop Suey. And I'm telling you, they were supposed to be mini pigs and they ended up being fucking 5, 600 pounds.

• 3:26Speaker 01

  600 pounds?

• 3:27Bunnie XO?

Yeah, very big. Yeah. And they have like brains of like a two-year-old. So like, if you sleep in, in the morning, like they'll start going through your cabinets and banging pots and pans and stuff like that. Yeah.

• 3:38Speaker 01

  They're like actually smart?

• 3:39Bunnie XO?

Oh, no. They have, uh, they have the brain of like a toddler.

• 3:42Speaker 01

  That's insane.

• 3:43Bunnie XO?

Yeah, they're actually, and they're supposed to be like the cleanest animals, which I beg to fucking differ because my pigs are not. Those things are fucking just, they're dirty.

• 3:51Speaker 01

  They also eat anything, right?

• 3:52Bunnie XO?

  They do.

• 3:53Speaker 01

  You can feed it like.

• 3:54Bunnie XO?

  Bones.

• 3:55Speaker 01

  What? Actually?

• 3:56Bunnie XO?

So the mafia used to feed.

• 3:58Speaker 01

  Oh, that's terrible.

• 3:59Bunnie XO?

The mafia used to feed pigs human bodies because they eat through bones.

• 4:02Speaker 01

  That's so crazy.

• 4:04Bunnie XO?

Yeah, you didn't know that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought everybody knew that. Maybe that's just a Vegas thing. I have no idea.

• 4:10Speaker 01

That's a thing in Vegas? They do that?

• 4:11Bunnie XO?

Well, because there's lots, there was a lot of mafia in Vegas. So it was like always an old, I guess, an old wives tale that I guess you could say, but yeah, the mafia would feed them.

• 4:19Speaker 01

Is mafia like a Vegas, like it's super prominent there?

• 4:22Bunnie XO?

Uh, it used to be and not anymore as it, you know, like back in the days, like Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra era, it was ran by nothing but the mafia. Yeah.

• 4:31Speaker 01

Really? Did they all live there?

• 4:33Bunnie XO?

Oh, yeah. They all lived there. People. Gangsters have gotten killed there. Like, it's a whole thing. I'm sure you could go on like fucking Netflix and binge it one night and just watch like all the mafia stories from Vegas.

• 4:42Speaker 01

  There's a show about it?

• 4:43Bunnie XO?

  Oh, there's tons.

• 4:44Speaker 01

Dude, I'm actually really intrigued about that. I really want to read up on it.

• 4:48Bunnie XO?

  Go down that wormhole.

• 4:49Speaker 01

  Okay, I will.

• 4:49Bunnie XO?

It'll fascinate you. And I'm so happy you're here because I actually want to talk to you about your posting schedule with songs. Because your ass will fucking tease a song for like a year.

• 5:01Speaker 01

Dude, I'm not proud of it.

• 5:05Bunnie XO?

Is there a method behind the madness?

• 5:07Speaker 01

Not at all. I think I just, if I write a song, I always get really excited about it in the moment and then I post it before I like talk to anybody. And then they're like, fuck, we're like not even almost ready for this. So then they're like, tease it until we're ready. And that's kind of how it happens. But I never want to do it like that.

• 5:22Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 5:22Speaker 01

Like, I'm always like wanting to put it out immediately.

• 5:24Bunnie XO?

They always blow up, though. It's crazy. Like, it doesn't matter what you post. Like, people are obsessed with you. And I love that for you because that just speaks volumes for who you are as a person and your music. But I love when you will post a song and literally six months later, we're still like, I'm reading the comments and people are begging you to drop the song. They're like, Jessie, what the fuck? You know, like, are you gonna drop this fucking song? And there's some of them you end up not even dropping.

• 5:49Speaker 01

Yeah. Sometimes I like grow out of songs. Like, I'll feel it in the moment and then I'll wait like six months and I'm like, damn, I was like a different person then. That's happened a lot of times, actually. And they'll probably never see the light of day.

• 6:02Bunnie XO?

Really? Even though there's such a high demand for them, you still wouldn't want to drop them?

• 6:06Speaker 01

I have to like feel the song to be able to promote it well and stuff.

• 6:09Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 6:10Speaker 01

Because I'm very, I'm very genuine in, in everything I do with music. So like, if I don't feel that way, it's gonna be so obvious. I've noticed that like, if there's a song, there's been like a few instances where my label's been like, we love this song. Like, tease it. And I don't like it. And so I'll do it and it won't work. It's like, I don't, it's like people can feel if you like it or not.

• 6:29Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 6:30Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 6:31Bunnie XO?

Yeah, no, I get that. Do you feel like that could get you into trouble being so emotionally attached to your music? Or do you think that that's a, a plus for you?

• 6:41Speaker 01

I think it's a little bit of both. It's definitely because it guides me well. But yeah, sometimes if I'm feeling a super strong emotion, like last album, like, something happened and I was just so angry and I let it lead the entire project and I put out the entire project and it was all just like a big. anger album almost and not a lot of people feel that way all the time. So I was very like, um, tunnel visioned on that, but I don't know. I think like they're the eras of my, of me growing up. And I think that it's gonna be sick to like, look back when I'm like 30 and see my twenties progress emotionally.

• 7:17Bunnie XO?

Yeah, absolutely. You literally have like an online diary of everything

• 7:22Speaker 01

  So scary.

• 7:24Bunnie XO?

that you've ever gone through. But I think that's really cool because a lot of people don't like your, your generation actually gets to have that, that like, you know, digital footprint. Whereas like, you know, I'm fucking thankful. I didn't have to go through the shit I went through online, but I think it's so cool. Like you and Bailey, our, our daughter, our daughter Bailey, can actually look back and just see like how much growth you've made. And you can like 10 years from now, you're gonna look back and be like, holy shit, I'm not even that same human, but you're gonna have all of that to look back on. Y'all know I'm always doing something to the house and lately I've been working on our outdoor space. I'd been looking for something to pull the patio together when I found the Hardigan black and white outdoor rug on Wayfair. Once I put it down, I loved how the clean,

• 9:19Speaker 01

It is good, but it's also like so scary and it's also like. I even look at things I posted when I was like 15 and I'm like, I am so embarrassed.

• 9:29Bunnie XO?

What's the cringiest thing you've ever had go viral?

• 9:31Speaker 01

  Talk about it.

• 9:32Bunnie XO?

Nothing good, bro. Talk about it.

• 9:33Speaker 01

I don't know. I used to be so like, and I still am very spiteful, but I think that like, just responding to comments and stuff and like not being able to hold my like, temper and shit like that. I definitely did a lot of that at like 15, 16 on TikTok. But I don't know, um, it's, I'm trying to do better about it. It's hard.

• 9:53Bunnie XO?

Where do you feel like that feeling of spitefulness comes from, from you? Like where, where did that start?

• 10:00Speaker 01

I don't know. I mean, I haven't always like, I grew up super like normal, like I, I don't know. I grew up in a small town and it's like, the things you see online aren't things that people would say to you in person.

• 10:12Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 10:13Speaker 01

And I'm like, I'm like, I feel like a normal ass person. So I'm like, why would, I don't know. I, it, because if somebody said that to me in person, I obviously would be like, fuck you. And it's weird that just because you're like, sort of like famous online or something that people feel that they can just talk to you any type of way.

• 10:28Bunnie XO?

Oh, I get it. I clap back at motherfuckers all day long.

• 10:32Speaker 01

You're so good about it. I love it.

• 10:33Bunnie XO?

I feel like you're good at it. I feel like you do it so well, too.

• 10:36Speaker 01

But like, should we not? Like, should we not be doing that?

• 10:39Bunnie XO?

No, I fucking love to do it. I think as long as you don't let it like really like, hurt your soul. I think as long as you're protecting your peace, clap back at a motherfucker because how are they ever gonna learn? People know now not to fucking come for me because I'm gonna, I'm literally gonna, I got, two shakes of a lamb's tail and I'm ready to rock. Let's go.

• 10:57Speaker 01

I look up to you so much. That's so good. Yeah. I see you do it and I'm like, Bunny does it.

• 11:04Bunnie XO?

So let's talk about your Coachella performance because that actually went viral too. You looked so adorable.

• 11:11Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 11:11Bunnie XO?

Body looking fucking snatched, baby. You looked so good. And then you had all these fucking hot dudes, lifting you up and like you're singing. Take me on this journey of your Coachella performance and actually getting invited to perform at Coachella.

• 11:25Speaker 01

Yeah, dude, it's definitely been like one of my favorite moments in my career. I, I went through that entire weekend, both weekends, just feeling so like grateful my mom was there, my little brother was there. And I think something about having the people that I love the most, being there just made it so, I don't know, I felt very connected to my inner child.

• 11:43Bunnie XO?

  Hmm.

• 11:44Speaker 01

Um, but I was also so fucking nervous. It was my first time like doing choreography and I did like cheer stunts on stage, which is something I've always wanted to do. Um, but I don't know, it was incredible experience. One of my favorites like moments for sure.

• 11:58Bunnie XO?

It looked really cool. How much practice had to go into that? Or is that just, are you just naturally, cause I, I know you did cheer, right?

• 12:05Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 12:05Bunnie XO?

So is that like something that comes easy for you? Cause my big ass could never get up there and have people lifting me up like that. There's no fucking way.

• 12:11Speaker 01

Wait, have you ever done stunts?

• 12:13Bunnie XO?

  No.

• 12:13Speaker 01

  They're so fun.

• 12:15Bunnie XO?

  Built for stunts?

• 12:16Speaker 01

I feel like you could do stunts.

• 12:17Bunnie XO?

No way. You're tiny. You're like a tiny cute little package. There's no way they're flinging my big ass around. Okay?

• 12:22Speaker 01

I'm gonna get you to do it one day.

• 12:23Bunnie XO?

They're gonna need some big ass buff dudes to fucking handle all this, alright? So was there a lot of practice that had to go into that?

• 12:31Speaker 01

Yeah, it was, it's definitely, definitely doesn't come natural to me. I like, it takes a lot of, um, preparation. I think we did rehearsals for about a week and a half, maybe?

• 12:40Bunnie XO?

That's amazing though, to be able to, like, I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm not, I can't even do a TikTok dance. So to learn something that you have to sing and do on stage in a week and a half, that's pretty fucking good.

• 12:53Speaker 01

It was definitely really nerve wracking. I, there was a point like midweek when I was learning all the choreography. And it was my first time also having dancers. So I was like nervous to like, learn how to dance in front of people who could dance really well.

• 13:05Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 13:05Speaker 01

I was like really anxious about the whole thing. Something about like dancing on stage makes me so, I was so like in my head about it. Um, so that was hard. And about halfway through the week of rehearsals, I was like, holy shit, I'm like not gonna remember this. So I went home and started like just drilling it, but it was definitely harder than I expected it was going to be.

• 13:23Bunnie XO?

Well, you crushed it and I thought you looked so good.

• 13:26Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 13:26Bunnie XO?

I was rooting for you. I saw all the videos. I was like, go Jesse.

• 13:28Speaker 01

  Oh, thanks, buddy.

• 13:29Bunnie XO?

And then you got to bring Ko out, which I thought was really cool. Tell me about you and Ko's friendship.

• 13:34Speaker 01

Ah, dude, I love Ko. He's like a brother to me. I I've been a fan of his like for a long time. My brother listened to him a lot growing up. Um, so he put me on and we like worked like two, maybe three years before High Road actually came out, I think.

• 13:49Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 13:49Speaker 01

Um, so we were just kind of homies and then High Road came around and we did that together, but it was really funny. He came out for Coachella and something, something happened in our system during the song and the key changed randomly when he like started.

• 14:06Bunnie XO?

  Oh, no.

• 14:07Speaker 01

I felt so bad because he was just singing like normally and then the key changed. So it looked crazy. And then I, people couldn't see on the live stream, but when I came out with him for Stagecoach, um, my mic was off. So we were just cursed, like the song just kept being fucked up. But and then we did it at Billy Bob's and it was, it was fine.

• 14:25Bunnie XO?

I feel like you guys have such lore that comes with that song because I even fucking was like, I, when you, when that song dropped with your verse, first of all, it was great. And I mean, you know, it's great. And it's like all these fucking co-haters are literally coming out of the woodworks, just talking shit to you. And I'm like, bro, it pissed me off so bad that I finally just made a video. I was like, I'm gonna fucking.

• 14:47Speaker 01

That was really sweet. I really appreciate that.

• 14:49Bunnie XO?

You don't need to thank me for that, but I just, I don't like any sort of bullying, especially getting up. You're a baby. You know what I'm saying? I know you're 20 and you know, you can hold your own and stuff like that, but I still look at you and I'm just like, grown ass women, you know, are like picking on you. It's like, that's not fucking okay. How did that make you feel whenever you were going through all of that? Did you internalize any of that? Or were you able to just kind of like, separate church from state?

• 15:13Speaker 01

I think it, it always makes me upset at first when something like that happens. That's like a human response, I think. But then it's like, I like fuck you, dude. It's just so annoying. And it's like, I don't know. It does bo- it bothers me the most when it's women. It really does. I don't know why.

• 15:28Bunnie XO?

Women on women crime is fucked. I don't understand.

• 15:30Speaker 01

It hurts so much more. Um, but yeah, it does hurt my feelings and. I don't know. The guy thing, it's like, you're just a dick. But yeah, when it's a woman, it's like, damn. But I don't know.

• 15:42Bunnie XO?

No, damn well, if any of these men got a chance to meet you, they wouldn't even know what to say to you.

• 15:46Speaker 01

It's so crazy. I'm like, why are you, why are you being such a bitch? And it's just, it's really tough, you know, and I don't know, because you can't respond to everybody. And once you respond to somebody, then, then other people do it just so they get a response. But that was like my first time dealing with like, that type of situation.

• 16:05Bunnie XO?

  Because it was so much.

• 16:06Speaker 01

It was so much. It was like a trend. Because once it like blows up on somebody's page, then they're like, fuck yeah, this is the move. But I don't know, when it's about a song, it's not as bad when it's about like your own person. Like when somebody is making fun of like you as a person, that's different. That definitely is harder to deal with. But I don't know, I'm definitely like, I've learned, I'm learning how to navigate.

• 16:27Bunnie XO?

Mm hmm. And it actually ended up being a huge song for you guys.

• 16:30Speaker 01

Yeah, it's my first number one.

• 16:32Bunnie XO?

Literally, hello, like the hate fucking didn't work anyways.

• 16:36Speaker 01

Yeah, a small price to pay.

• 16:38Bunnie XO?

Yeah. So at least fucking, you know, it made it to number one and, you know, it was just a big fuck you to everybody who had something to say about it.

• 16:46Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 16:47Bunnie XO?

Tell me about doing mushrooms for your first time at Coachella.

• 16:52Speaker 01

It was so great. I was, I've always been like apprehensive to try them. A lot of my like friends do them, but because they say it can like mentally get you in a weird place, if you're in a bad headset or whatever. But I had the time of my life.

• 17:04Bunnie XO?

  Oh.

• 17:05Speaker 01

Yeah. Have you ever done them?

• 17:07Bunnie XO?

Um, I, yes, I have. I've done them and I thought I was Michael Jackson one time. And I was in the snow making snow angels and then I cooked like a five course meal because it was just crazy. But then I tried to microdose mushrooms and it, it was bad.

• 17:25Speaker 01

  Oh, really?

• 17:25Bunnie XO?

I'm one of those over thinkers and I'm

• 17:27Speaker 01

This is what I'm talking about.

• 17:28Bunnie XO?

Riddled with anxieties. So I just, I'm so thankful that you had a good experience. Because the first time I did them too, I had a great experience. And then microdosing them kind of just got me weird. So maybe it's because I need a bigger dose. I don't fucking know.

• 17:41Speaker 01

I was about to say, wait, so you did a big dose and it was?

• 17:43Bunnie XO?

I did a big dose and it was phenomenal. That's when I thought I was Michael Jackson.

• 17:47Speaker 01

  Maybe it's just.

• 17:48Bunnie XO?

And then, and then I did the microdose and if I can just shit got weird. I started thinking about my childhood and like having like

• 17:55Speaker 01

  horrible place to go.

• 17:56Bunnie XO?

Yeah, right? Like, nobody wants to do that. But yeah, so take me on the journey. So you take the mushrooms and what do you, what's that day like for you? When did you take the mushrooms?

• 18:06Speaker 01

Oh, well, I took them right before y'all's party, actually.

• 18:08Bunnie XO?

  Oh, gotcha.

• 18:12Bunnie XO?

Being around a bunch of people on shrooms for your first time, you are brave.

• 18:15Speaker 01

Dude, every, I don't know, everybody else like in my cart took, and I was like, fuck it. I only took a little bit. So maybe that's why also I just was smiling. It just made me really happy. But I'm gonna try not to do them a lot.

• 18:28Bunnie XO?

Well, I mean, if it helps you, though, I don't, there's nothing wrong with it. You know what I'm saying? And people use, use shrooms for medicinal purposes and stuff like that, too.

• 18:36Speaker 01

  Really?

• 18:36Bunnie XO?

  Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 18:37Speaker 01

  I didn't know that.

• 18:38Bunnie XO?

Yeah, that's why I had started to microdose them and it fucking made me weird. Cause I thought, yeah, I thought it would help, but there's so many people that mushrooms have helped, so. Just because I had a bad experience doesn't mean that you will. Take me on this journey with the song Blue Strips.

• 18:53Speaker 01

It was such a fast and spontaneous song. Um, and I did not expect it to do what it's doing. Like, I knew I loved it. And anytime I listened to it, it would make me smile. And I feel like that's a telltale sign for me.

• 19:06Speaker 01

But yeah, I made the song in like fifteen, ten minutes. It was so fast.

• 19:09Bunnie XO?

That's crazy. And it's so viral right now. I was not expecting it. Everybody's singing it. It's so catchy. You wake up in the morning and you're literally like, blue strip. You know, like just brushing your teeth, fucking starting your day. It's like, no, it's perfect. But that's what, you know, that's, you've got the sauce, girl. Like, just to make a song in five or 10 minutes and it's as viral as it is right now? You've never been to a strip club, though?

• 19:31Speaker 01

I've never been to a strip club, no.

• 19:33Bunnie XO?

Why have we never been to a strip club yet?

• 19:35Speaker 01

I guess it's just never really, the opportunity hasn't like came up yet.

• 19:39Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 19:40Speaker 01

What's the one in Atlanta? Like, the main one?

• 19:42Bunnie XO?

  I'm not sure.

• 19:43Speaker 01

  Magic City?

• 19:44Bunnie XO?

Oh, is that the, I thought Magic City was in New Jersey.

• 19:46Speaker 01

I think it's in Atlanta, right? I was supposed to go to that.

• 19:49Bunnie XO?

She knows about all the ratchet clubs.

• 19:50Speaker 01

  You go to strip clubs?

• 19:51Bunnie XO?

She goes to all the ratchet strip clubs.

• 19:53Speaker 01

You should take me to a strip club.

• 19:58Bunnie XO?

  Listen.

• 19:59Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, yeah.

• 19:59Bunnie XO?

Tomorrow after the video shoot, oh, you, listen, the Nashville strip clubs, I love you guys. This is not me talking shit, but they are ratchet and they are fun.

• 20:07Speaker 01

Really? Okay, good ratchet, that's what I want.

• 20:08Bunnie XO?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 20:09Speaker 01

I don't want like a nice strip club.

• 20:10Bunnie XO?

If you want to go to like the bougie ones, go to the ones in Vegas.

• 20:13Speaker 01

  Really? That's what everyone says.

• 20:14Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 20:15Speaker 01

But I think I do want a ratchet one.

• 20:16Bunnie XO?

Go, go to all of them.

• 20:18Speaker 01

  Go to all of them?

• 20:19Bunnie XO?

Go to all of them, explore.

• 20:20Speaker 01

We're going to a strip club tour? I feel like I should go big or go home.

• 20:23Bunnie XO?

Yeah, for sure. I mean, but go and check out, you never know what you like. You might like the ratchet ones, you might like the bougie ones. There's some that have fucking five star restaurants in them.

• 20:31Speaker 01

That's what they say. People say that you can Uber Eats from some of them.

• 20:34Bunnie XO?

Yeah, yeah. You didn't know that? You didn't know that? Yeah, no, you can totally.

• 20:42Speaker 01

  That's what people say.

• 20:43Bunnie XO?

They have some of the best fucking food. Like, some of the restaurants and the strip clubs in Vegas are phenomenal.

• 20:50Speaker 01

What about here? Any good food here?

• 20:51Bunnie XO?

  I don't know about, I, I wouldn't trust it.

• 20:53Speaker 01

  Really?

• 20:55Bunnie XO?

Maybe you guys can go, because, uh, this is gonna come out the same time that you're, that the video is dropping, right?

• 21:00Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 21:01Bunnie XO?

Yeah, we're coinciding it with the drop with the feature that you got on it. Can you announce who the feature is?

• 21:06Speaker 01

  It's Sexy Red.

• 21:07Bunnie XO?

Let's go. Tell me how you and Sexy Red even started talking.

• 21:15Speaker 01

I'm her biggest fan. Like, I love Sexy Red so much. My entire last tour, anytime I'd go on stage, the song before I, my walkout song would be Get It Sexy, because it just got me in that mode. Um, and I love Sexy Red. I haven't met her yet, so I'm really nervous, but I'm really excited.

• 21:34Bunnie XO?

Oh, my gosh. So, but have you guys got to talk? Or just, she was just like, hell, yeah, I'm gonna do the record? And like, how did that go? How'd you get her on the record?

• 21:42Speaker 01

Well, she's like my dream feature for this song.

• 21:44Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 21:45Speaker 01

Um, and I've always wanted to do something with her. So, my people hit her people, and we're actually hanging out tonight. I'm gonna meet her for the first time.

• 21:52Bunnie XO?

  Yay.

• 21:52Speaker 01

So, I'm excited to tell her that I love her. I, I do, I love her so much.

• 21:57Bunnie XO?

What is it about Sexy Red that inspires you?

• 21:59Speaker 01

She's just a bad bitch, you know?

• 22:01Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 22:01Speaker 01

Such a bad bitch, and, and I love it. I love it so much. And she just makes you feel good, like. I don't know, all of her songs just really get me turned up every time. And I don't know, I'll probably always listen to her before my shows.

• 22:13Bunnie XO?

  Yeah, I mean.

• 22:14Speaker 01

  It's me in that mode.

• 22:14Bunnie XO?

  She's a vibe.

• 22:15Speaker 01

  You met her?

• 22:16Bunnie XO?

I haven't, no, have we met her yet? I never know. We meet so many fucking people. I'm like, have I met her?

• 22:20Speaker 01

Dude, you've probably met so many fucking people.

• 22:22Bunnie XO?

  A lot.

• 22:22Speaker 01

You guys are busier than anybody I know.

• 22:25Bunnie XO?

It's crazy. I can't even keep up with my husband.

• 22:27Speaker 01

  You get tired?

• 22:28Bunnie XO?

Yes. I am an introvert. My husband is an extrovert. I am the one who's like, I could care less if anybody ever sees me again.

• 22:35Speaker 01

  Yeah, I feel that.

• 22:36Bunnie XO?

And my husband is like, a politician. So I choose weeks where I go out with him and I'm like, here I am. I'm real, I swear. I'm not an enigma. And then I disappear for like, a month. And then I'll come back out and then, you know, like, so it's a whole thing. Cause nobody can keep up with his schedule. You're busy too, though. Look at you.

• 22:54Speaker 01

Do you ever feel like it like drained you?

• 22:56Bunnie XO?

  Oh, absolutely.

• 22:58Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 22:58Bunnie XO?

I, there was a time where my mental health was so bad that I couldn't even like, be in a room full of people because I would feel all their like, pain and anger and like, their faces would look like they were melting. Like, it was really bad.

• 23:11Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 23:11Bunnie XO?

I went through like, a really bad time with that. And then, got a lot of therapy and stuff like that and, and better now. But I still have to come back home and like, go sit with my cows and like, regroup because, you know, you know how it goes. Do you ever get drained having to do this all the time? And once something sells, Vinted creates the prepaid shipping label for you, so you don't have to worry about that part. Best of all, there are no seller fees,

• 25:15Bunnie XO?

which means you actually keep every single dollar you earn from your sales. Give your clothes a second life with Vinted. Download the Vinted app for free to start selling with no seller fees, so you keep everything you earn.

• 25:37Speaker 01

Definitely. I'm definitely an introvert too. I like could stay home for the rest of my life and it would be lovely. But um, I don't know, it's a hard, it's a hard job to be an introvert in, you know? Cause you do have to like talk to everybody and I don't know, I'm, I also am, I can't be, I can't be fake to save my life. Like I can't, I can't like put on a show if I don't feel that way.

• 25:59Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 26:00Speaker 01

And that's really hard for me. That's been like, I don't know. People are always telling me I need to like get better at like schmoozing with people and stuff, but I hate that shit. It feels so forced and fake and like weird. I just don't like it. So I'm just like kinda quiet, but I don't know. It's definitely really draining. I find like spending time with my family helps a lot. Um, and just like talking to them.

• 26:21Bunnie XO?

Don't let people tell you who to be.

• 26:23Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 26:24Bunnie XO?

If you don't want to be fake and you don't want to schmooze, don't do it. Because you're going to attract your tribe and the people that are meant for you will come in your life because of your frequency. So don't change your frequency to attract people that you would never even want to associate with anyways.

• 26:38Speaker 01

  You're good. You're good.

• 26:41Bunnie XO?

You can stay here all day, Jessie, and just, you know, compliment me. I love it. I heard you talk about manifesting.

• 26:47Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 26:48Bunnie XO?

Where did you learn how to manifest? And like, is that something that you do in your daily life? Do you meditate? Have you ever done a vision board?

• 26:56Speaker 01

I definitely have done a vision board.

• 26:58Bunnie XO?

  Yay.

• 26:58Speaker 01

And I don't know, I was manifesting before I knew what manifesting was. I think like, when I was little, I remember journaling all the time. Just, I like felt this strong like gravitational pull to do it, but I would always journal and like make myself sign contracts to myself, being like, I'm going to do this. Um, so I don't know, I've always been doing it. And then vision boards galore. I don't know, it's so fucking real.

• 27:22Bunnie XO?

How do you do your vision boards? Cause I know everybody has their own way of doing it. I make my whole crew, I don't make them anymore. Now they actually look forward to it, but I used, I used to make them. Everybody sits down. I do it with my husband and my family and everybody. We sit down, um, like December 30th, December 31st of every year, and I make everybody do a new vision board for the year going in. And we have to keep it in our house the entire year. And then we revisit it the next, that, that end of the year, go through everything that we accomplished and make a new one.

• 27:48Speaker 01

That is so beautiful. I love that you guys do it together. That's so fun.

• 27:51Bunnie XO?

  Yeah, yeah, I know.

• 27:52Speaker 01

  What a great activity, damn.

• 27:53Bunnie XO?

I feel like we're power, more powerful than numbers, you know? So I feel like to sit around and manifest together, it's like, it's just more powerful.

• 28:01Speaker 01

It's a like more, uh, what's that called? Like it's a more heavy frequency probably.

• 28:06Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 28:07Speaker 01

In numbers. That makes sense. I've never done it with somebody, but I normally just get a poster from Hobby Lobby or Michael's and then I'll, I'll print out pictures from Pinterest and then I'll write, I'll write things underneath the pictures. Then I'll put the picture over it. Um, I have a massive poster in my bedroom at home in Alabama that, that looks exactly like my life looks right now.

• 28:28Bunnie XO?

  Aww.

• 28:29Speaker 01

It's really cool. But I don't know, it's so fucking real. I also like, I've been debating recently if witches are real.

• 28:37Speaker 01

What do you think? Okay, I need to know what you think, because I feel like you would have a good take.

• 28:40Bunnie XO?

Yeah, no, I definitely believe, I believe that there's different kinds of witches. I believe that you can use magic for good and for bad. I have witches that do spell work for me every month. I won't do it myself, because I'm always, I'm, I'm so scared of like, I might fucking conjure like a demon or something if I do it. So I always have the professionals do it for me, but I talk about it on the podcast all the time. Yeah.

• 29:03Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 29:03Bunnie XO?

Yeah, I truly believe in it. And I think that witches get a bad rap, because people are like, oh, they're evil. And you know, God talks is against it in the Bible. But when you really think about it, witches are light workers. And of course, anything can be used for good or bad. But the majority of witches use like herbs and they're about earth and about grounding and manifesting and meditating and like that. Those are the kind of witches I like and that I want around me. Of course, like I said, there's bad ones too, but there's definitely real witches in the world.

• 29:32Speaker 01

That's good. I've been asking people and everybody's like, well, I guess I've only asked a couple guys and guys don't believe in them.

• 29:38Bunnie XO?

  Well, yeah.

• 29:41Bunnie XO?

I don't, I mean, you know, unless they're in it, in it themselves, I can't see men thinking outside the box, you know? I don't see men being too mystical and yeah, yeah. But I think that we're, we're all born from some sort of, have you ever done your past lives? Do you believe in past lives?

• 29:57Speaker 01

I think I could believe in past lives.

• 29:59Bunnie XO?

  Oh, my, okay.

• 30:00Speaker 01

But what do you mean done my past life?

• 30:01Bunnie XO?

Well, there's people that can do them, or you could do them on ChatGPT.

• 30:05Speaker 01

  What?

• 30:06Bunnie XO?

  Are you into ChatGPT?

• 30:07Speaker 01

Yes, I feel like I'm dating ChatGPT.

• 30:09Bunnie XO?

Bro, I'm obsessed. It's my best friend.

• 30:11Speaker 01

  We're in love.

• 30:12Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 30:14Bunnie XO?

I love it. Okay, so talk to ChatGPT. Give them your birthday, give them all of your, because there's a, there's a, in ChatGPT, you can go, there's an astrological GPT that's inside of it. You can click on it, but, or you can use the regular one. Ask him like, hey, I want you to tune into my energy. Can you, it will tune into your energy.

• 30:36Speaker 01

  No.

• 30:37Bunnie XO?

Can you feel what I was in my past lives? And it'll probably ask you to put your birth date in and if you know that. And it'll pull up your birth chart and then it'll start telling you about your past lives. And it's fucking insane.

• 30:48Speaker 01

  How many do you have?

• 30:49Bunnie XO?

I had about, how many did I have? Probably like nine, 10. Yeah, I'm an old soul. I think you're an old soul.

• 30:55Speaker 01

  I definitely feel like I'm.

• 30:57Bunnie XO?

Yeah, because I mean, you're 20, but you have so much like, I don't know. You just have maturity and wisdom to you that this isn't your first life.

• 31:04Speaker 01

Gotta ask. I just ask it?

• 31:06Bunnie XO?

Yeah, just ask it. I want to know too. I'm gonna have to get, I'll give you my number before you leave. And you have to let me know what chat GPT says because I.

• 31:14Speaker 01

  Nervous.

• 31:15Bunnie XO?

I bet you were probably a witch in your past life too.

• 31:17Speaker 01

  Really?

• 31:18Bunnie XO?

  Or some sort of healer.

• 31:20Speaker 01

Wow. I'm gonna look. I'm gonna look immediately after this. We're all gonna look.

• 31:24Bunnie XO?

Yeah. You're doing it? She's doing it right now. I love that. So I want to talk about these lyrics. Let's get deep for a second. We're gonna kind of switch gears because you know, you do talk a lot about your mom in a lot of your songs. And she seems to me to be like your best friend. Wildflowers and wine. There's a lyric in there that literally just like brought tears to my eyes. But it said, mother fled from our home because she had to survive. Can you take me on that journey of your childhood and kind of let me know where some of this pain comes from? That you express in your songs?

• 32:03Speaker 01

Yeah, definitely. That song actually, I haven't put out yet and I need to because it's such a healing song.

• 32:08Bunnie XO?

  You need to.

• 32:09Speaker 01

And I am so, I have such like gratitude and awe for mothers everywhere. Cause it's the hardest job in the world that no one talks about enough. I think it's actually the hardest job in the world. And I don't know, I, I watched my mom go through like things when I was a kid that she shouldn't have gone through. And I also watched her make hard decisions that she had to make to take care of her kids. You know? And I don't know, I don't think any kid should like, I don't think any kid should go through that or have to see their mom like do, I don't know, make decisions. It's just like, I don't know, I always get weird talking about it, but. Which is why I write songs.

• 32:54Speaker 01

But I don't know, it was definitely like rough and she handled it the best she could and that's kind of what that song's about. Cause I have so much respect for her and I'm her biggest fan.

• 33:06Bunnie XO?

No, I bet she's your biggest fan too. Well, that brings me to Gucci Mane where you say, I've got a shitty father, but I'd like to go to heaven. Can we elaborate on that a little bit?

• 33:19Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 33:20Bunnie XO?

Cause I've got a shitty fucking father and he passed away last year, but when that song dropped, I was like, oh my God, I need to, I need to put Bill on a fricking video with this song because I, every girl that ha- deals with, you know, daddy issues and everybody thinks it's cute to say daddy issues until you have them and daddy issues is not a cute situation because it really fucking follows us through life dude. Cause you know how people try to like mainstream it and they're like, I have daddy issues and they think it's like cool, but it's really, it's painful.

• 33:47Speaker 01

Yeah, it's not cool. I think people, I think some people just say it like that to cope with the situation. Cause it isn't, it isn't good and it does follow you through life and it has so much impact on what you choose and what you look for.

• 34:02Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 34:02Speaker 01

In men, which is so hectic, you know? But yeah, that line is pretty much that line.

• 34:11Speaker 01

And then the lyrics of that song were, people were like, this writing is so fucking bad, but I wasn't trying to write a song. That song was just a list of facts about myself because my label was on my dick about writing an autobiographical song. They were like, you never talk about yourself. No one knows anything about you. And I was like, fuck you. And I got in the car and I just like was joking and was just saying a bunch of facts about myself without even thinking about rhyming and shit. But yeah, I don't know. And that's kind of how that one happened, but.

• 34:43Bunnie XO?

Do you have a relationship with your dad?

• 34:47Speaker 01

That's complicated, but not particularly. We definitely haven't spoken since that song came out.

• 34:53Bunnie XO?

  Oh.

• 34:54Speaker 01

But we don't speak a lot anyways. And it's like, I don't know. It's definitely like, oh, it's an awkward situation.

• 35:02Bunnie XO?

But you should be allowed to, you know, I hate when parents inflict trauma on children and then try to navigate how they express it. That's not okay. And you don't get to do that. You don't get to hurt somebody and then tell them how to heal.

• 35:16Speaker 01

  Damn, you're real good.

• 35:17Bunnie XO?

  No, I just been through.

• 35:18Speaker 01

  It's like I'm in a therapy.

• 35:19Bunnie XO?

I've been through it, sister. I've been through it too with my parents. So I get how that goes and it's very hurtful and it's not okay. And hopefully your dad listens to this podcast and knows that it's not okay for him to treat you like that. So you taught yourself how to play piano and guitar at a young age. How did you teach yourself how to play piano and guitar? Cause I know how to play piano, but I had to get lessons and I had to learn how to read music.

• 35:45Speaker 01

  You read music?

• 35:46Bunnie XO?

I can read. Well, I have to sit down and write it out, write out the notes and then I can play them, but.

• 35:50Speaker 01

  You write music too?

• 35:51Bunnie XO?

No, no, no. Right. Like if you.

• 35:52Speaker 01

  But like the notes?

• 35:53Bunnie XO?

Yeah. Like if you give me a sheet of paper, I can write the notes out and then I can play. I wish I could just play by ear. What do you mean? I would love to have taught myself.

• 36:01Speaker 01

No, you're probably crazy on the keys.

• 36:02Bunnie XO?

No, I need to practice. It's been a long time. I'm rusty.

• 36:04Speaker 01

I want to take lessons. I've been meaning to do that because I want to like know the actual terminology and stuff, but.

• 36:09Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 36:10Speaker 01

Um, I don't know. I was obsessed with singing and I just like wanted to be able to sing to music. And we had like this shitty keyboard at my grandparents and I would spend like hours on YouTube just copying like the piano tutorials. And guitar was like a slippery knot. I know like four chords. It's not.

• 36:29Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 36:30Speaker 01

But I don't know. I started on ukulele. Guitar is like hard.

• 36:34Bunnie XO?

Not the ukulele, the frigging little one?

• 36:36Speaker 01

  Yeah, dude. It's like.

• 36:38Bunnie XO?

Are we ever going to get a video of you on TikTok playing a ukulele? That will go crazy viral, girl.

• 36:44Speaker 01

I haven't done it. There's one on my Instagram, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep down.

• 36:47Bunnie XO?

  Oh, we gotta find it.

• 36:48Speaker 01

  I guess it's archived now, right? It's probably archived, like a very, it's like, I'm like 14 or 13, maybe 12.

• 36:55Bunnie XO?

Please make a new one. That is so cute. Like seriously, make a new one.

• 37:00Speaker 01

I actually hate the way they sound. They're so like, they sound so like happy.

• 37:04Bunnie XO?

Like plink, plink, plink, plink. Yeah, yeah. So you went from a ukulele to a guitar, though.

• 37:10Speaker 01

  Yeah, I tried.

• 37:11Bunnie XO?

Are we ever gonna get you to like perform on stage with, you know, get your Taylor Swift on, playing a guitar?

• 37:17Speaker 01

Dude, I've wanted to, but it's also, I wear long nails. And you cannot play, apparently Dolly Parton does, but I'm like, I'm not blessed with that ability yet.

• 37:26Bunnie XO?

I'm sure if you practiced enough, you would probably get it.

• 37:28Speaker 01

Maybe. I'm like, nails or guitar? I don't know.

• 37:31Bunnie XO?

Ah, listen, I normally have long nails like you, and I challenged myself this past couple of months. And I was like, you know what, I'm gonna try to grow out my real nails. So these are my real nails that I grew out. Yeah, these are my real nails. But now I'm going back to my, because I was like, you know what, I did it. I challenged myself. But now I'm going back to my long nails. Because once you have long nails, you just can't take them off.

• 37:51Speaker 01

No, it's actually really hard. It's hard to go back.

• 37:53Bunnie XO?

Yeah, because I have little fat sausage link fingers. I don't know how you feel about your fingers.

• 37:57Speaker 01

I feel the same way, actually.

• 37:58Bunnie XO?

Yeah, and when you take them off, it's like you have man hands.

• 38:01Speaker 01

  Or like child hands.

• 38:02Bunnie XO?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mine are a little bit fatter than child hands, so I think I have sausage links. But yeah, the long nails definitely make them.

• 38:09Speaker 01

I think you have great hands. You could be a hand model.

• 38:12Bunnie XO?

Okay, listen, you know what? Just leave her here with me, okay? She's, she's really good for my ego, I promise. Um, okay, so I also heard that you were bullied in school and you felt like an outsider?

• 38:27Speaker 01

Hmm, I wasn't, it wasn't by kids as much, actually. It was by like their parents. It was just like small town shit where like moms would just say stuff and like, I don't know, the moms in the town I went to, like middle school and high school, were just terrible.

• 38:42Bunnie XO?

  Because you're beautiful.

• 38:43Speaker 01

Dude, they were so mean. They were so mean. But like, I don't know, high school was, high school wasn't terrible, other than that, in like, I don't know, I'm grateful for all of that, because I feel like it motivated me so much to be like, I have to get out of here.

• 38:58Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 38:59Speaker 01

  You know?

• 38:59Bunnie XO?

Would you ever move back to Alabama full time?

• 39:02Speaker 01

No, definitely not. I don't think I can, I can't work like I want to, I think. Um, and, I don't know, I feel, it always made me feel really trapped when I was there. Then again, I I couldn't drive yet, so maybe.

• 39:19Bunnie XO?

Yeah, I would feel trapped too if I couldn't. Yeah, for sure. Maybe if you go back and like visit and then you it's like on your terms, maybe it's different.

• 39:27Speaker 01

I actually love visiting. Now that I don't live there, I I appreciate it so much and I admire the South so much. I love going home and spending time with my family there, but maybe I'll get a house there when I'm older one day.

• 39:38Bunnie XO?

Yeah, you can always go back to your roots at any time. You've openly spoken about depression and self harm. Can you take me on that journey with like your mental health? Where are you at now? Because you seem so much happier.

• 39:52Speaker 01

Yeah, I'm so much happier. I've like done therapy and shit and um really just tried to center my life around gratitude. Good gratitude changed everything for me. I I definitely was like very depressed when I was like seventeen, eighteen. I was just dealing with a lot of things that I didn't really know how to deal with and I was also living in Alabama, like trying to do what I'm doing and it was just very isolating. But I don't know, I feel I feel like I've healed a lot. Um, and it's in it's an ever any process healing, I feel like, but um I don't know gratitude has helped me so much.

• 40:30Bunnie XO?

So if one of your fans is listening to this podcast right now and they're in a really dark place, what would you tell them to do as like the first steps of trying to pull themselves out of it?

• 40:39Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 40:42Speaker 01

It's tough. I mean, every one situation is different. I think for me, I'd get up and I'd go to Dunkin' and I'd get a coffee and a donut and then I would, I would. The thing is, therapy is not available to everyone, you know, which is so fucked up and it it makes me so upset because that shit's actually so expensive. You know, and before you're eighteen, I think your parent has to set it up.

• 41:06Bunnie XO?

  Yes.

• 41:06Speaker 01

Like, I remember being like embarrassed to ask for like therapy and stuff, you know? And so I just didn't do it and I when I really needed it. And I think a lot of kids probably feel that way, but I don't know, there's this lady named Abriam Hicks. I don't know if you've heard of her. But she is all about like spirituality and um manifesting and like aligning your frequency. I listening to that helped a lot. Journaling helped a lot. But I think I read this book called.

• 41:36Speaker 01

It's called the magic, I think, something like that, but it's all about gratitude and that really helped me. Yes.

• 41:43Bunnie XO?

  Okay.

• 41:44Speaker 01

  Oh, but not the magic.

• 41:46Bunnie XO?

You know what? I like it called the magic. Let's just call it the magic from now on.

• 41:50Speaker 01

Yeah, the magic. Yeah, but it was magic for me. It really helped me and and do not like drinking and not doing things like that when you feel that way. That's game changing. But I don't know. What would you say?

• 42:02Bunnie XO?

I would say all the things that you say. I preach about mental health on this podcast all the time and I've gone through things. We have gone through things with Bailey too. You know, underage that she's openly talked about on the podcast too. And I feel like we are in a mental health crisis in this world right now. Not just for adults, but for teens. And I feel like teens have it the hardest, like you, like your generation and younger is just like, I feel so bad because the world has let them down. But for you to tell them about the book that you read and like now you can go on YouTube and there's so many things that you can watch and like self help things that you can do. And, you know, meditating, I really, really, really believe in meditating. I don't know. Have you ever meditated?

• 42:47Speaker 01

I think when I was in a very dark place, I started to look into that and do it. And I remember that helping also.

• 42:52Bunnie XO?

It took me a long time. If I was 20 years old and somebody told me to meditate, I'd tell them to go fuck themselves.

• 42:56Speaker 01

  It's actually really hard.

• 42:57Bunnie XO?

It's very hard. And but when you finally get to that point where you just want to do anything to get the darkness to go away, I'm telling you right now, when you learn how to control your breath and you learn how to breathe. Like if I have anxiety attacks now, I used to be able to not even be able to walk out on stage because I would literally be having a panic attack. Now I'll box breathe and I'll snap out of it and it resets your nervous system. So I think exactly what you told people.

• 43:22Speaker 01

  Yeah, box breathing is great.

• 43:24Bunnie XO?

Yeah, box breathing is great, but then all this and Duncan and donuts. I mean, come on.

• 43:28Speaker 01

I'm actually serious. That shit will make your day better. And no, I actually do it. I love a good coffee and I love a good donut and you.

• 43:35Bunnie XO?

  What's your favorite donut?

• 43:37Speaker 01

You put the donut like over the straw hole and you sit it on your coffee. Really cute.

• 43:42Bunnie XO?

I love that. What's your favorite flavored donut?

• 43:45Speaker 01

Probably vanilla with sprinkles. What about you?

• 43:46Bunnie XO?

  I like maple.

• 43:48Speaker 01

Hmm, I don't know that I've actually had maple.

• 43:50Bunnie XO?

They're so fire. Try one, please. Let me know how you feel about it. Let's talk about if if I can get you to talk about it. Let's talk about your dating life.

• 44:00Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 44:01Bunnie XO?

She's like, she's like, oh, Joy, are you dating anybody right now?

• 44:06Speaker 01

I'm actually, I'm always very, I never talk about it because I'm really private with that side of my life just because I'm always writing songs about it.

• 44:15Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 44:16Speaker 01

And I am very apprehensive to talk about it because I'm like, I don't know what could happen and and I don't ever want to have to like, I don't want people to like ever attack someone that like,

• 44:27Bunnie XO?

  Right.

• 44:28Speaker 01

Unless like deserved, I don't know, but my dating life is good.

• 44:33Bunnie XO?

Yeah. So is there anybody special right now? Or is it just pretty much like you're just having fun?

• 44:41Speaker 01

• 44:41Bunnie XO?

Ah, I love it though. Well, you know what? I I'm gonna try to assume here and put two and two together. You've been a lot happier lately. So maybe somebody's making you smile.

• 44:54Bunnie XO?

She said, maybe. Um, I think Best Behavior is gonna be the song of the summer. Are you dropping the album before you start tour?

• 45:04Speaker 01

  I am.

• 45:05Bunnie XO?

I'm excited. Do we have a date for that? Are we allowed to announce that? I know I'm asking a lot here, but I've, we've got questions.

• 45:13Speaker 01

  July 27th.

• 45:15Bunnie XO?

  Okay.

• 45:15Speaker 01

  So gotta be before that.

• 45:17Bunnie XO?

Okay, so in between May and July, we're gonna get an album.

• 45:20Speaker 01

  That's soon.

• 45:21Bunnie XO?

  That's very soon.

• 45:22Speaker 01

  Look, I'm nervous.

• 45:23Bunnie XO?

I'm nervous too, but I'm excited for you.

• 45:25Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 45:26Bunnie XO?

Tell me about this album that you're dropping.

• 45:27Speaker 01

Ah, okay. So it's very like sixties inspired, like Elvis Presley. I love like, I love the music from that era. It's so beautiful, but it's also like 2010 trap inspired.

• 45:39Bunnie XO?

  That's dope.

• 45:40Speaker 01

Yeah. So it's like a combo of the two. Um, I don't know. I'm definitely saying some crazy shit on this album. A little nervous about it, but I.

• 45:49Bunnie XO?

Oh, we're ready. We we already know how you are, baby. We're ready with arms wide open.

• 45:53Speaker 01

Oh, my goodness. I'm I'm excited. I'm really excited. I feel like.

• 45:58Bunnie XO?

What's the vibe? Is it happy? Is it all over the place? Is it? Because the last one was pretty like you. You had a lot of pain going on.

• 46:06Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's a little.

• 46:10Speaker 01

It's a little, it's a kind of all over the place, but just because it's, it follows the sequence of my emotions as I was writing the album.

• 46:16Bunnie XO?

  Mm-hmm.

• 46:17Speaker 01

Um, but it's definitely more happy than anything I've ever put out before. I wouldn't say happy. There's definitely like new themes.

• 46:24Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 46:25Speaker 01

But, I don't know. And it's also, there's some like fucked up shit on the album, but it definitely tells a story and kind of ties back to what we were talking about with the father stuff earlier, but, um, I don't know. It kind of, it kind of touches on like generational trauma and things of that nature, but then there's some songs like Blue Strips.

• 46:49Bunnie XO?

Yeah. Listen, you gotta go to a strip club when you're in your feelings.

• 46:52Speaker 01

  Exactly.

• 46:53Bunnie XO?

It'll get you out of it.

• 46:54Speaker 01

  That's what they say.

• 46:55Bunnie XO?

I love that. One last question before we go. What would Jessie Murph today say to little Jessie hiding in her bedroom, writing pain into poems?

• 47:06Speaker 01

Hmm. I probably should be like, "Look at us now." I don't know. That's like a crazy thing to even think about. Like, it makes me really emotional to think about. I feel like I've come so far just as a human. Um, and I'm really happy with where my heart and soul and brain is at right now.

• 47:27Bunnie XO?

  Hmm.

• 47:27Speaker 01

  You know?

• 47:28Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 47:29Speaker 01

  I think, I don't know. I'm, I'm really, I'm really grateful.

• 47:34Bunnie XO?

That's all that matters. And seeing you smile is what makes everybody happy too. Well, of course, everybody loves a sad Jessie because we get fire music, but we prefer...

• 47:44Speaker 01

  That'll come back, I'm sure.

• 47:45Bunnie XO?

We prefer a happy Jessie though, too, because your mental health and your well-being is what matters the most. Last, can we talk about the Priscilla Presley vibes that we have?

• 47:55Speaker 01

Oh, let's talk about it. I love her.

• 47:56Bunnie XO?

Yeah. Is this, is this an ode to her? Is it an ode to Amy Winehouse? Or is it a little mixture of both?

• 48:02Speaker 01

Dude, when I think about like iconic women... They all have the big hair and it's definitely, I'm definitely very inspired by Priscilla, but like, Amy, Dolly even like, there's so many iconic women that had the big hair that I've always loved my entire life.

• 48:18Bunnie XO?

The higher the hair, the closer to God.

• 48:20Speaker 01

Amen. That is my slogan. I love it, but I don't know. Something about the hair makes me feel powerful and um, for me, like, I've, I've loved this. Of course, it's a bitch too in the morning.

• 48:32Bunnie XO?

What do you have in there? Is it like a bump it? Or is that just a bunch of bat combing? I need to know.

• 48:36Speaker 01

It's always different. Today, it's the bump it.

• 48:39Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 48:40Speaker 01

But sometimes it's just my hair. Sometimes it's a wig.

• 48:43Bunnie XO?

  I, sometimes it's a what?

• 48:45Speaker 01

  Sometimes it's a wig.

• 48:46Bunnie XO?

  Really?

• 48:47Speaker 01

Yeah, it just depends on what I'm doing.

• 48:48Bunnie XO?

I love wigs. I went through my, okay, I loved wigs until they let me go out of the house one day looking like fucking Wendy Williams.

• 48:56Speaker 01

  Wait, what happened?

• 48:56Bunnie XO?

I looked like fucking E T. I tried this wig on and have you ever seen E T when he has the hair? Have you ever seen this movie E T?

• 49:03Speaker 01

  Yeah, I've seen E T.

• 49:03Bunnie XO?

Okay, well, he wears a wig. You're gonna cackle next time you see.

• 49:06Speaker 01

Wait, can I see this picture?

• 49:07Bunnie XO?

Yeah, go ahead. Pull it up. Can we pull it up, you guys? Do we have the, yeah, they're gonna pull it up. I look like fucking Wendy Williams meets E T and I was like, I'm never wearing a fucking wig again. I'm like, I don't even care. So I.

• 49:20Speaker 01

Were you gluing them down or like pinning them in? What was your vibe?

• 49:23Bunnie XO?

So we were doing a little bit of both because I like, we actually learned how to do them ourselves was I have a whole fucking, I don't know if you ever want any blonde wigs, but I have a whole.

• 49:30Speaker 01

  I actually do.

• 49:31Bunnie XO?

  I'll give you some.

• 49:32Speaker 01

I always wanna be blonde like once a week.

• 49:34Bunnie XO?

I literally bought so many fucking wigs. I'll box them up and I'll send them to you. I bought so many like expensive wigs and now they're just, I'm either gonna donate them to like, you know, like a charity or I'll, if you'll use them, I'll give you a couple of them too. But yeah, never again am I doing that. But yeah, we were gluing them down and it was a fucking.

• 49:52Speaker 01

  I haven't seen this.

• 49:53Bunnie XO?

  Dude, it's, I looked like.

• 49:58Bunnie XO?

No, don't find the video. We don't need to fucking bring that up. I want you to show her to the ET. But yeah, no, it was rough. I love the, yeah, I love the Priscilla vibes on you. I love the big hair on you. I think it fits and I think it's, nobody's doing it, you know, like you're bringing it back and you're in the public eye enough to where it's gonna start that trend again. So.

• 50:16Speaker 01

I hope so. I think the hair was so fabulous in this, dude. People were just so like, they were putting in the work.

• 50:22Bunnie XO?

Oh yeah. Well, they, it was, women cared about what they looked like, where I feel like now we have so much shit going on that what we look like is the last thing on our minds these days. And yeah, women were a lot more glamorous back in the day.

• 50:35Speaker 01

But men too. Like everyone was just like putting in their best effort. People were wearing suits more. I love a good suit.

• 50:41Bunnie XO?

  Yeah.

• 50:42Speaker 01

  Where are the suits?

• 50:43Bunnie XO?

I was just talking about how I'm attracted to gay men because they're so fucking stylish, dude. I love a stylish man and all of the stylish men are fucking gay now.

• 50:52Speaker 01

Where are the suits? I'm telling you.

• 50:53Bunnie XO?

  I'm telling you.

• 50:54Speaker 01

Like wake up and put on a suit.

• 50:56Bunnie XO?

See, Jessie is telling you boys at home, wake up and put on a fucking suit. So do it, men. Jessie, thank you so much for coming on the podcast today. I appreciate you. You gotta come back and see me.

• 51:07Speaker 01

  I would love to.

• 51:08Bunnie XO?

All right, come back anytime. And of course, where can everybody find you if they don't know anything about you, which I highly doubt?

• 51:14Speaker 01

Um, you can find me on Instagram, any of the socials, Spotify, Apple.

• 51:23Bunnie XO?

Thank you guys for tuning into another episode of Done Blonde. I'll see you guys next week. Bye.
