Nick Cannon on being busy Father's Day, balancing expectations, relationships and work-life with parenting, hustler's mentality to creating entertainment empire, talks Mariah, Will Smith & reaction to Diddy

"When you see a man fall, don't laugh at him, learn from it." We can learn and sometimes laugh our way through life as long as we do it with respect and humility. Ryan, Channing and Fred sit down with media mogul Nick Cannon to talk about his journey through the music, film and TV industries as well as his life behind the scenes with 12 children and a hustle that continues to pay dividends for him. From stand-up comedy sets making $7 an hour with a free dinner to music producer to actor to hosting, Nick Cannon is able to do it all. And on the latest episode of The Pivot, he opens up about his upbringing, his unique mindset, managing expectations and creating a lifestyle of fame and fortune but a life often crafted by headlines as the entertainer navigates his complex personal path with a booming professional journey. Nick has worked for everything that he has today, and he reflects on where that sense of motivation came from, pointing to his unique childhood situation. Always on the move, he talks about early opportunities and the moments that sprung his career forward. He is most known for his juggling of many different professional hats, but he also gives insight on his family life, even swapping jokes about his $10 million testicle insurance policy. Keeping an open mind and having sone laughs with the guys, Nick speaks from the heart and with honesty about his choices to father several children. With 12 children from 6 different mothers, his life off-screen is a testament to his dedication and love for family. Despite the complexities, Nick sheds light on the fulfillment he finds in fatherhood, sharing moments and special ways to make Father's Day unforgettable for each and every one of his kids. With one son passing from a brain tumor at 5 months old to another growing up today with autism, he opens up about supporting each child in the best way he can to give each of his children the best parts of life and put them all in a place to experience their time differently. Sharing insight into his marriage with Mariah Carey and private intricacies of their relationship, Nick doesn't shy away from personal struggles he faced with his dream girl and is able to reflect, pinpointing the painful moment he realized he had to Pivot in order to regain himself. From creating Wild N’ Out to his days on America's Got Talent to now hosting The Masked Singer, Nick has a long list of self-accomplishments on his resume, but amidst the accolades, he remains humble, touching on how he continues to learn daily, especially from comments he made that got him “canceled.” Nick credits Will Smith as being the one person who mentored him and explains the tremendous upside of that relationship while shedding the downside of mounds of pressure put on him as well. Before wrapping, Ryan asks Nick how he handles the sensitive situations around very public Hollywood friendships he had with R Kelly and P Diddy and without hesitation but poise and grace in his tone, Nick addresses the situations directly and how he has explained the recent revelations to his children. • 0:30Channing Crowder?

  Bands will make me dance.

• 0:31Ryan Clark?

Bands will make you dance, coach.

• 0:33Fred Taylor?

  Every time. Yup, yup.

• 0:35Speaker 05

  Yo, yo, yo.

• 0:36Ryan Clark?

  What up, though?

• 0:37Speaker 05

I ain't all the way 100, but say. I'm trying to be a gladiator like y'all.

• 0:43Ryan Clark?

Nah, we all left it alone.

• 0:45Speaker 05

  Yeah, I know, right?

• 0:46Ryan Clark?

You up around somebody our age now.

• 0:48Speaker 05

  Yeah, we all in the...

• 0:50Ryan Clark?

  Even the fours now.

• 0:51Speaker 05

  In the fours.

• 0:52Fred Taylor?

  That's crazy, bro.

• 0:53Ryan Clark?

You can't just be jumping out the window now.

• 0:55Speaker 05

Man, but see, that's what, you know, I'm deep into martial arts and yoga and stuff. I'm actually training for a martial arts film. So that's where, you know, doing some fight combat and usually being limber and stuff. But I made a dumb move and fell, you know, fell the wrong way and popped that elbow out.

• 1:11Ryan Clark?

  I've been there.

• 1:12Fred Taylor?

That's gonna set you back, right?

• 1:13Speaker 05

Yeah, that's what I said. They got like rehab. Like, that's what I... Because once they saw, because you know, I put the elbow right back just out of instinct because I was scared, you know what I mean? I grabbed it, just wanted to put pressure on it and it popped right back in. But the pain shot up and now I gotta get MRI's and all of that. So like, they said it's probably about at least six weeks.

• 1:34Fred Taylor?

How you training? Because you do a whole lot of training, like that gotta turn you off, right?

• 1:37Speaker 05

Even this morning, I was like, so, I mean, obviously luckily it's a martial arts film, so they going, we gonna focus on all legs for the next six weeks and still try to, hopefully I don't have no atrophy or all of that stuff.

• 1:47Ryan Clark?

Well, nah, you gonna have the one big arm, like Lady in the Water. You gonna have the one big arm.

• 1:53Channing Crowder?

There's some dude out there right now bragging, talking about, "Y'all told me your ass up."

• 2:00Speaker 05

Kick somebody, he went down. Hey, man, we trade. That's part, it'll be, hopefully it'll be part of the story if the film comes out good.

• 2:07Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 2:07Speaker 05

I figured, you know, considering this is like my first real martial arts film, so we're supposed to shoot in Thailand, so I'm trying to get everything right before I even have to go out there because, you know, something like this would have happened out there, it would have been, you'd shut the film down for a while, so hopefully this is the only injury, but I'm sure, you know, that's the whole thing, like trying to get as limber, because like you said, them 40s ain't no joke.

• 2:31Ryan Clark?

Bruh, trust me, I get up every morning, something new hurting and I ain't done nothing.

• 3:09Ryan Clark?

Well, welcome to The Pivot, man, I'm really excited.

• 3:11Speaker 05

Man, it's an honor, man, I'm a fan. I've been, you know, y'all been, y'all really the culture in a real way and coming from a perspective of just really, you know, speaking that, that truth and that's what we need.

• 3:22Ryan Clark?

Man, thank you. Fred Taylor, Channing Crowder, Ryan Clark, welcome to The Pivot, a part of Fanatics. I mean, one, bro, you do everything, right? And you've done everything for an extremely long time. I remember the quiet conversations of, well, Nick Cannon does this, well, Nick Cannon does this, and then somebody will have some knowledge and they'll go, whoa, you know, he owns that, or you know, he's the chairman of that, because it was always, okay, what is Nick Cannon doing? You said, though, growing up where you did, you idolized the gang bangers and the dope boys, which is something we've talked about on this show. For someone who doesn't grow up or didn't grow up in that sort of environment, talk about why those would be the people that sort of inspired you.

• 4:05Speaker 05

I mean, those were the men. Those are the dudes who ran the neighborhood, especially when you come up in, you know, in a single mother household and, you know, my, the interesting thing, my dad was definitely present, I just didn't live with him because my dad came from that life and changed his life, gave his life over to the Lord and started a ministry and had to literally move out of, you know, Southern California to North Carolina. So, he had a whole family out there that I would, you know, bounce back and forth in between. But, you know, so that left room for like, the dude my mom was married to was one of the biggest drug dealers in the neighborhood. So, I had an interesting dichotomy of influence when it

• 4:45Speaker 05

came to men to where I'm like, alright, well, stepdad is, is the man, you know what I mean? My dad is still the man and he has a whole different perspective and different lifestyle and escaped what I'm admiring, you know, but I'm not with him every day. I don't get to see him. So, I, you know, I wouldn't change my upbringing for nothing, but for the reason that I got to see it all, I was well-rounded. I was very well-versed in the church and ministry and all of that, but I also, you know, got to see the street life up, up close and personal too. So, and, and if I'm looking at the two, the one that was a, a little bit more appetizing was the street life because it came with the money, it came with the cars, it came with the women, it came with the attention where, you know,

• 5:30Speaker 05

the church life, you know, looking at it now is a much more peaceful approach, but back then it was boring and strict and, you know, I don't want, you know, my, my dad got all these rules and want me to read the Bible and learn scriptures and so, so, but the interesting thing that was about the both of those influences is that they were both, they, they had that making something out of nothing mentality. They had that natural hustle in them. And I, I watched my dad, you know, raise a family and, you know, walk a steady walk in faith and really not, you know, wanting to have one of those prosperity ministries and be a televangelist, but you know, that, that doesn't happen for everybody. And then even watching, you know, the street life kinda, you know, not necessarily, it

• 6:15Speaker 05

didn't end well, you know, in that scenario, but seeing how, how successful it can be in the moment, you know, so just watching people be hustlers kinda created the hustle. I mean.

• 6:27Channing Crowder?

Along that same line, bro, how did, how did that mold you? Like? Looking back at 21, 22-year-old Nick to now being, like we said, we won't call the name, but we in our 40s.

• 6:36Speaker 05

  We in our 40s.

• 6:37Channing Crowder?

All of us in our 40s. But how did that mold you seeing those both sides and deciding which way you want to go? Because, you know, I was in a single mother home too.

• 6:48Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 6:48Channing Crowder?

And I can see now, looking back, like, okay, I did this because of that. I did this because of that.

• 6:53Speaker 05

100%. I mean, it definitely molded me and, you know, some for the good and some for the bad. I mean, if we're gonna be honest, I mean, for the good, it just made me appreciate, like you said, at 21, 22, I was like, I can't believe I got these opportunities, so I'm gonna get as much of it as I can. And that's probably why you would hear, I have my hand in everything. And I wasn't even necessarily focused on being in front of the camera. I knew the money was behind the camera. So because I was so young, I was out there writing and creating and developing and investing the money that I had into myself, into my projects, because I was like, they could take this from me at any moment. So that hustle spirit kind of kept that going. But then on the personal level, like you said, like, it made me flighty.

• 7:36Speaker 05

It made me not really want to have a foundation. You know what I mean? I enjoyed bouncing all over the place, whether it was from relationship to relationship or city to city, because that was the vibe. That's kind of how I was raised, you know, being a latchkey kid of kind of like, you know, with your dad during the summer, your mom on the weekends, your grandma, you know, Monday through Friday, you know, like, I was just that kid, you know, for my whole experience. So when I got to be an adult, I just, you know, I've been living out of a hotel since I was 16 years old. You know what I mean? And loving it, like, not like it's a bad thing, like, you know, room service, city to city, airplane, airplane. And that's really just been my life. So now, being a father of many, you know what I mean?

• 8:19Speaker 05

It's like, it's normal to me, but, you know, the outside perspective, it's not your traditional nuclear family system. So people have their opinions about it, but I'm like, I'm built for this. And, you know, this is how it was for me, while, you know, and like I said, had great relationships with everybody in my family. And I feel like through love, I'll be able to do that, you know, with my own children and my own family. So that's why I said, like, the aspect of it, it made me who I am. But, you know, some people don't necessarily agree with the lifestyle and... That I've developed.

• 8:54Fred Taylor?

  What can't you do?

• 8:56Speaker 05

  Clearly.

• 8:59Speaker 05

Brace myself. Can't brace the fall.

• 9:04Fred Taylor?

Nah, that wasn't a serious question, cuz I mean, I don't know who really think of themselves as someone, you know, that can't do anything. That was just kind of a...

• 9:13Speaker 05

But that's the thing, you know, we all think we superheroes, you know what I mean? And that's, I mean, you guys actually are, I mean, but it's like, in that vibe, like, I love challenges. I would say hurdles were meant to jump over. And I like that idea, and that's, that's probably my, like, even when I sit in therapy and I talk to my therapist, I'm like, man, I'm a professional machete juggler. Like, I love inviting people to my circus and throw one more in. You know what I mean? I'mma get it. Say I can't do it, and that's gonna, you know, encourage me to show y'all that I can do it. And that really is, that's kind of really been my life. And people, ah, man, you can't do that. Are you too young to do this? Are you, there's no way you could pull that off. I'm like, well, watch me. And, you know, that's also, that's my drive, but it's also my downfall as well,

• 9:56Speaker 05

because I'm constantly trying to do the impossible, you know what I mean? And like, my therapist calls me the boy wonder, you know what I mean? Because it really is like, I think I could do it all, and I think, you know, and it's from this, you know, wide-eyed, optimistic, like, I'mma make it work, and, you know, sometimes you end up falling, thinking you can do it all.

• 10:19Fred Taylor?

Man, when RC said we had an opportunity to sit down with you, I was like, perfect. Because I've been looking forward to this. I've been a fan, first and foremost, I've been a fan. Just about everything you do from childhood, you know, from acting, Nickelodeon, to hosting, having your own businesses, being an entrepreneur, multiple shows, your podcast, to fathering, to doing other stuff, to fathering and more fathering.

• 10:45Speaker 05

  More fathering.

• 10:47Fred Taylor?

How were you able to transcend and pivot? You are the pivot, in my opinion.

• 10:52Speaker 05

  Appreciate it.

• 10:53Fred Taylor?

How are you able to transcend, you know, from those moments to become a media mogul like you are now?

• 11:00Speaker 05

It's so interesting, man. I'd give a few different answers to that, but coming from that hustler's mentality from the beginning, I started off doing stand-up, you know, out here in L.A., young. Well, because I started, obviously, in North Carolina with my pops, like, on some, you know, church stuff. But then, by the time I was a teenager, I was out here really hoping to be a rapper, you know? And then, but my dad gave me some great advice, like, every kid in our projects want to be a rapper, but you funny, you entertain it, like, ride with that. And so I took that stand-up mentality. We used to stand in front of Comedy Store, the Improv,

• 11:39Speaker 05

Laugh Factory, you know, me, young Kevin Hart, Cat Williams, D-Ray Davis, like, we was young cats out here. And obviously, I was the youngest. And you had to do it all. You had to, you had to beg to get time on stage. You know what I mean? They literally used to pay us in dinners at the Improv. You get $7 for a set and a dinner. You know what I mean? At the Improv. And, like, and that's what, like, you know, they still got Monday nights at the Improv. That was always the black night.

• 12:10Fred Taylor?

  Okay.

• 12:10Speaker 05

And, you know, and, you know, D-Ray's still rocking over there, like, he don't even have to do it no more, but it's just, like, for the culture. But that was our night. It was Mondays at the Improv, Tuesdays at the Comedy Store for Fat Tuesdays with Guy Torre, who actually was the person who transitioned me from a rapper to a professional comedian. And then, I think it was Chocolate Sundays at the Laugh Factory. And then we would go, you know, off of Pico and Comedy Act, all of those spots, you know, in the hood, the rest of the week. So we was literally bouncing from club to club. And you had to beg to get time on stage. Sometimes you had to sell your own tickets to get time on stage. You're like, yo, if I sold 20 tickets, then I get 20 minutes. You know what I mean?

• 12:55Speaker 05

And so that in me as a teenager was like, okay, this is... Not only do I gotta tell the jokes, write the jokes, perform the jokes, I gotta promote myself. So then, that energy at fifteen, sixteen, when I would start going on auditions and wasn't booking shit, you know, it was more like, well, if I'm not gonna book nothing from these auditions, I need to write and create stuff. I got, I write my jokes, why can't I write this? And so, from that, I started writing and wasn't really impressed with like, I didn't necessarily wanna be a star, I was just trying to, you know, get on. So I was, I would like go to these writers' rooms and was under different casts like Bentley Kyle Evans, who was, you know, the creator of Jamie Foxx Show and executive producer of Martin and, you know, uh, I would just sit in the writers' room with them, sit in the writers' room at Nickelodeon and like,

• 13:41Speaker 05

you know, since I had The Voice, I was a kid, I was like, nah, we think this is funny. And, you know, I was doing the warm-up for different shows all over, all, when the WB and UPN and all that was popping, I was the kid in the audience telling jokes for four hours while they was filming those shows. So I was, I was making five hundred dollars a pop, you know, doing warm-up. So, that was for, you know, that was, I'm sixteen, seventeen, that's, I was paying, you know what I mean? I'm paying my mom rent down in San Diego and I got gas money to get back and forth from, so I was the man. So, it was just, I was a hustler, even in that aspect, just, and then I think that, once those opportunities, being the only one, you know, the only kid out here doing that and having that hustler's mentality,

• 14:25Speaker 05

like, I'm not gonna turn down nothing but my collar, kinda created this opportunity of like, whatever you put in front of me, I'll take the opportunity and make something out of it. And that's really what my career has turned into, so. From everything from drum line to the music career, it's just really like, ooh, that's an opportunity, I could do that. I'm gonna go get it. If I can't do it, I'll do the training to figure it out. And, you know, luckily, you know, through the blessings of God, a lot of it has paid off.

• 14:49Ryan Clark?

You know, that hustler's mentality is, is always a thing that's associated with successful people. And you mentioned how your experiences created who you were, and you talk about your lifestyle. Now, a lot of those times when you have, you said, different relationships or you're jumping into different jobs, you can't pour everything. Thing in them, right? You can't necessarily be open and vulnerable in all of those spaces. How have you learned to develop and keep connections? Not just start them, right? To develop and keep those connections as you move through relationships, as you move through jobs, opportunities.

• 15:31Speaker 05

Specifically in the personal space, compassion is empathy and empathy. Those are things that, you know, I feel like we have innately, but it's not mined. We don't, we don't develop them as men often. Because I mean, we got compassion for our mothers, we got empathy for each other, really. We know the struggle, you know, but we're taught to necessarily like, ah, yeah, yeah. You know, in passing, we might offer that up. But to dwell in it, even as a father, you gotta mind it. You know, and I think, you know, through therapy that's helped, but even through ups and downs, man, you realize, dang, yeah. Cause I think I'm naturally a retreter, you know.

• 16:15Speaker 05

Like, fight or flight, I'm out. You know what I mean? I don't want no problem, you know what I mean? And I'll be gone for a while, you know what I mean? And it's, and I think in my nature, you know, and I probably get it from my grandfather, they used to call him lonesome. Like, he was one of them people that like, he rode by himself, he pulled up when he wanted to, he left when he wanted to. And I kinda had that same vibe. So if I'm in a personal relationship and I see conflict, I, you know, I'm a ghoster. I disappear and then I come back when I feel like it's all good. And I learned that's definitely not the way.

• 16:48Ryan Clark?

How much, how much of that, though, is being so independent? Listening to you talking about being the only young cat doing what you're doing, going home, paying mom's rent. You was coming from San Diego to get to Hollywood. How much of that experience of being able to be alone and that independence comes from the way you were living, trying to get on?

• 17:10Speaker 05

It's my safe space. You know what I mean? It's who I am. Like, I, man, if I'm stressed out, I gotta get in the car and drive for a few hours and just get away, drive to Joshua Tree, or back to San Diego, or something like that, because that's the only way I could, like, that's how I meditate. That's how, because too much extra energy is poisoning to me. And even through that process, I learned, like, I thrive when I get to make the decisions. Some people call it being a control freak, but it's like, I'm betting on me. You know what I mean? And like I said, if we want to look at the psychological aspects of it, it probably does have to do with my upbringing of like, you know, I don't know how long I'm gonna be at my mama's house.

• 17:55Speaker 05

I don't know how long I'm gonna be, I can't really rely on my dad, you know? So, it's like, alright, I'm gonna figure it out. And, once you figure it out a few times on your own, you're like, oh, I got this.

• 18:07Channing Crowder?

  I got the next one.

• 18:07Speaker 05

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then if I do see conflict, like, okay, you don't understand it. And that's where we try, like, again, going back to that compassion or empathy space, because I'm good by myself, but a lot of people aren't good without me. So, that's where I'm like, I know I could do this on my own, but I'm gonna be here because I know you need my presence here. You want to have this interaction, so you can get to where you need to, even though I'm, the way, I'm content, you know? And I think that's what I'm learning, like, especially as a father. You know, as a father, that's a nay, li, and it's like, alright, I'm gonna buckle down and get on the floor with you, so you can have a great experience, so you can say, my

• 18:50Speaker 05

dad was always there, even, because conflict gonna come. And, but at least if we get in there and work it out, I can say at least I gave my best effort.

• 18:58Channing Crowder?

But, bro, can you be always there? You got 12 with six. I got three with one. And I miss motherfucking baseball games all the time. Like, how do you balance 12 with six?

• 19:10Speaker 05

Man, like I said, I think I'm Superman. I think I'm a machete juggler, but it is, it's having some harsh, you know... Realistic, like, alright, man, you gotta come to grips, you not gonna be able to. There's, somebody's gonna be disappointed at some point in time. And at the end of the day, even with dealing with the different mothers of my children, I try to zone in and say, we want the same thing. We want what's best for our children. And of course, you know, if we grading on a curve, I'm a, you know, dad is always gonna be dad, you know, but there's gonna be some times where it's like, ah, they make that bad, you know. I was at basketball practice yesterday, you know what I mean? But he got a game on Friday and I gotta be on set.

• 19:52Speaker 05

So, I'm explaining to him, like, I'm here today, but I'm probably gonna miss this game on Friday. And it's just really that communication and, you know, having, you know, as twins with, you know, a super mega star who travels the world. You know, so even that relationship, which I think, you know, they 13 now. So, we've been able to, you know, the majority of every holiday and experience, we've been able to do it as a family together. And it worked. So, I think, you know, I could probably be the, you know, the poster child for attempting to make it work, but also being realistic when like, there's no way you can be there for all 12. And I think I got a lot more challenges to come because, you know,

• 20:34Speaker 05

I have at least five that are in a very similar age group. So, you know, I don't know. Right now, it's easy to pop in from, you know, sensory class to tutu class, because those are, those ain't real things and, you know, they might not remember every single one. But, you know, it's gonna be occasions where, you know, two of them got a graduation on the same day or, you know, like, all of that stuff. So, I have an experience, I'll check back with y'all when that happens.

• 21:02Channing Crowder?

We gonna tap back in in our 50s.

• 21:03Speaker 05

Yeah, exactly. But right now, it's really working really well. And the only thing I could say is like, the mothers have been amazing to be able to work. And it's just everybody just being realistic.

• 21:14Channing Crowder?

My, I gotta ask, my brother, do you not believe in condoms?

• 21:19Speaker 05

This is the thing, and I'm talking to me, I, I am a devout believer.

• 21:28Speaker 05

It's just the one, you know, and the scenarios and, and I would say maybe not every single one of my children were planned, but they were all on purpose. They were all with people that I wanted to have children with. And it was, none of it was like, oh, that was a mistake. It was just in the process of depending on somebody's age or depending on somebody where they were in their life. They were like, man, you're a great father and however, we can make this work. And I've always been ready and willing because, you know, I love children like that and really feel like as much as I'm no longer a believer in the space of traditional matrimony and marriage, I am a big believer in family and creating that aspect. And obviously the best way to create family is with kids.

• 22:12Ryan Clark?

Nick, how does, how does that conversation go? Because you were at four and then you went on like a run for two and a half years where you was like, fa, fa, fa, fa, fa, fa, fa. And so how does, no, but, but, but for real, because you're, and you're also like being Nick Cannon is not like being Nick Davis that lives in New Orleans, right? The, the women know that you'll be moving around. They know that you have these children already. How have some of those conversations gone where they were ready, but you were also willing?

• 22:42Speaker 05

I'm not even gonna say in front like it's easy, but I would say it's managing expectation. And coming from that aspect of like you said, even having, you know, four at, at first in, you know, it started with, I had, you know, twins and then, you know, I had, I have a seven year old and a three year old after the twins. And that was manageable. You know what I mean? And then I, I'm a, the pandemic, when 2020 hit.

• 23:12Channing Crowder?

A lot of time on your head.

• 23:14Speaker 05

A lot of time on my head. And then that's it. It was probably like, okay, I could manage it. Oh, oh damn, like it was really like I would be in my prayer closet like, I, I don't know what's going on, but I accept it. I'm not gonna run from it. But I, it was not what I expected in that space. And it's funny like, cause I always said I wanted a big family and always like, I'm gonna have 12 kids, all that. And then I was like, dang, I done spoke that into existence in, in a more rapid way than I thought it would be. Cause you think like when, when I first turned 30, I didn't have no kids. You know what I mean? So, and then by the time 40, 41 hit, like. I had 12.

• 23:56Speaker 05

So it's like, for that to happen in that short amount of time. But I embraced it, man, and never ran from it. But it was definitely like, okay, how like, how is this happening? And to that point, living the lifestyle, having, you know, multiple personal relationships with people in different areas and not, never shying away from like, never, I always said, you know, I've never been successful at monogamy, so I'm not gonna attempt to pretend like I can, can rock in it. I mean, the only time was in my marriage. And then after that, I was like, well, if it didn't work with my dream girl, the big, the, the. The one?

• 24:38Speaker 05

Yeah, the one, I was like, I'm not gonna keep chasing something that I know just isn't for me. So approaching every aspect from there, I think it's just managing those expectations with each individual, you know. So I have certain mothers in my children that are full on relationships and we figure that out and we work it out. And some people that I still have great love for, in love with in those processes, but we still have to be realistic and it's, this is a, this is a larger situation. And I don't subscribe to those ideas of like, polygyny or, or polygamy, all of that stuff, like what you would think it would be.

• 25:18Speaker 05

It's just more like, no, I have individual scenarios with these people that are just, this is our reality. And I wouldn't put a label on it or try to say, oh, he's just a, he's a whatever type of person, that it's just not, he's, this is the scenario I'm in. And I think I'm probably just a little bit more open and upfront about my challenges and my lifestyle. And I know I ain't the only one, but I just kind of probably, I'm the one that's probably out there the most. So if we do our, if we do our numbers, a lot of the greats from Bob Marley to Ali had. Definitely gonna leave a legacy. I just watched One Love, I just watched One Love, yeah, Mar was running. I'm not, I'm not in the boat by myself.

• 26:03Speaker 05

Dr. Sebi had about 40 on my.

• 26:06Fred Taylor?

I did this morning, I went and got a vasectomy. I was like, game is over.

• 26:10Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 26:10Fred Taylor?

But no, did you really go and get your nuts insured?

• 26:14Speaker 05

Insurance, yes. It sounds like it's a joke and just part of a, you know, shouts out to the people at Dr. Squatch, but it's a real life, like, insurance policy on my family jewels, $10 million. It should have been 12 for 1 million for your kid, but it's real.

• 26:33Channing Crowder?

Your bowls are worth $5 million each?

• 26:39Channing Crowder?

  That's crazy.

• 26:41Fred Taylor?

But what is it? Like, what do they do, though? Like, what do you? Like, that's crazy. It sounds crazy.

• 26:47Speaker 05

  You know what it is?

• 26:47Fred Taylor?

And it does sound like a joke. Like, do you have to, like, go and donate sperm and they hold it? Like, what do they do?

• 26:52Speaker 05

Hey, Freddie T, what's the appraisal?

• 26:54Channing Crowder?

  Do they gravel?

• 26:55Fred Taylor?

So this one, if you look at this ball...

• 26:58Speaker 05

  4.8 in this ball.

• 27:00Fred Taylor?

  5.2 over here.

• 27:02Channing Crowder?

That one that's a little lower, but worth more money.

• 27:06Fred Taylor?

This nut right here dominant. This is dominant nut. That's 5.2.

• 27:10Speaker 05

That's the eight children nut. This one only got four.

• 27:13Channing Crowder?

What? How did you even figure that out?

• 27:15Speaker 05

I think, I mean, like I said, obviously, part of it is just like when other entertainers go get their legs insured or different. I should have got my whole body insured, but it's really, I think it was that idea of like, all right, we gonna make a statement. And it's really embracing all that I am. Like, all right, man, you out here having all of these kids. Clearly, you know, if we want to make sure you'll be able to take care of your kids from here on out. So if anything happens, we know there's policies in place. That's just one, but that's the one where the family makers are definitely insured.

• 27:53Fred Taylor?

That is crazy, because like, if you have life insurance, right?

• 27:56Speaker 05

  Right.

• 27:57Fred Taylor?

We know what forces the policy forward.

• 28:00Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 28:01Fred Taylor?

  Death.

• 28:01Speaker 05

Yeah. But if my balls start working...

• 28:07Speaker 05

The kids gonna be all right. They gotta know you're shooting the blanks. That's crazy. It's the opposite of a respect.

• 28:14Speaker 05

  I gotta keep them working.

• 28:16Ryan Clark?

Nick, man, and you know, we're joking about it and I love your openness.

• 28:20Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 28:21Ryan Clark?

Just here, you know, with it fast approaching, what does your perfect Father's Day look like with 12 children?

• 28:28Speaker 05

Woo, see, and it's funny like, cause this is such a difficult one to answer because even how we even feel about being fathers, we want to be appreciated, we want to be valued and I want all of those things as well. And even when my kids, you know, they're pretty young, you know what I mean? So it's really the people, the mothers, different people who set situations up. And I'm like, as a father and receiving that appreciation on that day, all I want to be able to do is give everybody their experience, their Father's Day, you know? So as much as most fathers probably like, oh man, I just want to relax.

• 29:11Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 29:12Speaker 05

You know what I mean? And everybody come to me, I think that's a little selfish on my part because I'm asking, you know, multiple individuals to come cater to me where I was like, most of the time how I move on holidays, I want to give everyone their individual experience. So Father's Day on a day where I would normally relax is probably going to be a busy day for me because I want to go make sure that, you know, my 13 year olds get their dad on Father's Day and whatever they want to do for me. And that, so I'll probably, probably literally hop on the jet after the mass singer, you know, Sunday or Saturday night to land in New York, Sunday morning, breakfast however, then I'm flying back. You know what I mean?

• 29:56Speaker 05

And you know, or whoever, just to make sure that all those other experiences are happening too. So it's going to be a crazy day and you, every holiday is that for me. And like you, you'll see me on Easter, I'm dressed up like the Easter bunny. Christmas, I'm in my Santa Claus outfit because it's like, I know holidays are really where I'm spread thin. So I'm gonna, I'm trying to give. Everyone the best experience they possibly can. And that's why you see all of the photo shoots. So you see all the, you know, renting out Disneyland and Six Flags and all that. Because, again, because I know my time is limited. So if it's the, if quantitative, I'm struggling. Qualitative, I'm gonna make sure that I'm creating as many core memories as possible.

• 30:37Ryan Clark?

Nick, you mentioned, like you said, if I couldn't, if I couldn't do it with the one.

• 30:41Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 30:42Ryan Clark?

Right, the, the, the global superstar.

• 30:44Speaker 05

One I was badly in love with.

• 30:45Ryan Clark?

The Dream Girl, right, Mariah Carey.

• 30:47Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 30:48Ryan Clark?

Uh, if I couldn't do it with her, then that's what pushed me to be honest about what I really thought. But you mentioned that she turned into Superwoman for you.

• 30:57Speaker 05

  Oh.

• 30:58Ryan Clark?

When you were diagnosed with lupus. What is it like to have this woman that you've dreamed of?

• 31:05Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 31:06Ryan Clark?

In real life, in reality, take away from the global superstar she is, and prioritize you and your health and the way that she was fighting for you to be okay. What was it like to see her in that mood?

• 31:18Speaker 05

Man, it was amazing, man. I think that was probably some of our closest times, too. That was 2012. And really, our kids weren't even a year yet. So I'm watching her be mom for the first time and doing a phenomenal job. And then she now has, she's already nurturing them. And then she has to turn around and nurture me in probably the most confusing, scariest time of my life. Because, you know, I'm, I'm diagnosed with something that they're telling me could be terminally ill. I'm having pulmonary embolisms and getting rushed back and forth to the hospital, spending time in the hospital a month at a time. I'm like, I'm about to check out and I'm a new dad. And, you know, Mariah gotta still be Mariah, you know, like.

• 32:02Speaker 05

So it was a time where, you know, through faith more than anything. And, and I would probably say, if I'm, I'm being honest, you know, in retrospect, that probably was a turning point for me of wanting.

• 32:20Speaker 05

To establish my purpose. And wanting to establish my purpose probably was the beginning of the divide. Because I'm like, once I get out of this bed, once I get back to normal, once I get healthy again, I'm about to live life like I've never lived it before. Where before that, I was probably a little bit more complacent and just enjoying like, oh my God, I'm a dad, I'm in my dream relationship. I don't ever have to work again. I don't have to, you know, like, it was vacations every month, really, you know what I mean? And I'm really just content with being that. And there was a fire that was birthed inside of me.

• 33:02Speaker 05

Once I got, you know, diagnosed with lupus, I was like, this can't be it. You know what I mean? Because I remember being in those hospital beds, looking up at the ceiling like, if I check out, it was a good run, you know what I mean? I've been there. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like this, they gonna talk about it. You know, they even married Mariah Carey. You know what I mean? Like, they gonna, but I was like, it's more, it gotta be more to this. And, you know, unfortunately, I think I even, Mariah talked about it in her book. And even there's a song lyric, you know, that kind of hit me pretty deeply because I was there when she wrote it, but I didn't necessarily resonate that it was, she was talking about me.

• 33:45Speaker 05

It was a song lyric, she was like, you always somewhere, but you're not there for me. You know what I mean? And it's like, I was, that's who I'm always running and always going, but probably not paying attention to the true things and having that empathy and compassion in those moments. And so, hindsight, I was like, ooh, that's where it started. That's where, you know, and when you have two big personalities and two, and my drive was like, I went from Trying to prove that I wasn't just, you know, the boy toy, or I wasn't just over here just, you know, chilling with my feet up, you know? I gotta show and prove that I got just as much hustle and just as much grind and can make just as much money.

• 34:27Speaker 05

And that, you know, that chase to, I wanna make a billion dollars. I wanna be the chairman of this and own this. That's where that started of like trying to prove that I gotta get more out of this. And, you know, I had a lot of sacrifices because of Emmett's hat.

• 34:43Speaker 00

Flowing ad budget on metrics that look great, till the CFO sees them, that's bull spend. And marketers are calling it out in Dashboard Confessions.

• 34:53Speaker 01

I remember telling my boss, "It'll be good for the brand," when leads were slow. Yeah, it wasn't.

• 35:00Speaker 00

• 35:13Channing Crowder?

You just said it. You started paying your mom's bills as a teenager.

• 35:16Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 35:16Channing Crowder?

We all did the same thing. We all, and then at you 21,

• 35:20Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 35:20Channing Crowder?

you get a million dollars and now you're the patriarch of a family.

• 35:24Speaker 05

  Higher family.

• 35:25Channing Crowder?

And all that stuff. But being that, feeling that, having that, and then now, I'm speaking out of line, but, nigga, you became number two.

• 35:37Channing Crowder?

Like, Mariah don't need you to shoot a 200.

• 35:40Speaker 05

  You ain't getting nails done.

• 35:42Channing Crowder?

He just ride on these 200 and nails done.

• 35:44Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 35:45Channing Crowder?

How did, like, what was that like?

• 35:46Speaker 05

It fucked me up. I mean, honestly, because it was also at a time in my life, because I was like, you know, I think I might have, we kinda, I was probably 27, you know what I mean? Where we got together and that's the time where I'm like, I'm popping, you know what I mean? To go to, one day I'm popping and be like, no, she's popping. You know what I mean? Like, it kinda, and one, with love, it kinda made me say, all right, well, clearly, I ain't nothing I could buy her that, you know, just gonna impress her or that some, you know, like it's, she's who she is. So, you know, that's even probably, that's why I got the big, big ass Mariah tat on my back, you know what I mean? It was more like trying to show.

• 36:27Speaker 05

This is how I can love you and being there and being able to create experiences that weren't about monetary gain or weren't about being the provider. But I think psychologically, it definitely did something to me to be like, man, I'm not the provider. So then when I stepped out of that, I was like, well, I'm gonna be the provider for everybody. You know what I mean? Like, because I spent so many years trying to figure out how to be, you know, the man of the house, where it's like, it was a struggle for me. So that probably where I started to overcompensate once I got out of that situation.

• 37:05Fred Taylor?

Just after Father's Day, you celebrate the birth of your son, Zen.

• 37:09Speaker 05

  Yeah, six twenty-three.

• 37:11Fred Taylor?

How are you mentally with that?

• 37:14Speaker 05

Man, I think turning your pain into purpose. We turn, you know, June twenty-third every year into Zen's Light Day. And I hit the foundation, it's called Zen's Light. And ultimately, man, it's so funny because before I had any children, I used to, just to keep my head in perspective, I would go to children's hospitals and, you know, Nickelodeon, but it wasn't necessarily, I think it started, my first was with Make-A-Wish. And then I kind of enjoyed that experience so much of just seeing the joy and the light that these kids would have in these hospitals. It just set my whole life in proper perspective to be like, man, I'm so blessed.

• 37:57Speaker 05

I'm so privileged that not only do I not have to deal with any of the things that these strong children have to deal with, but when I show up, they get excited. You know what I mean? I'm like, aw, man, I'll have to do this. You know what I mean? Too much is given, much is required. So I saw him, I became a member of the board of St. Mary's Children's Hospital in New York. And I started doing stuff a lot. I was hosting with Children's Miracle Network, which is one of the biggest hospital organizations for children, you know, in around the thirties, like, you know, Marie Osmond was doing it back then. And so I just started doing that, not knowing that...

• 38:37Speaker 05

Eventually, I would be one of those parents of a child with special needs and having to deal with losing a child in that process. And in meeting a lot of those parents and those families before I even had children, I empathize with them. And then becoming one of those parents of having to sit in a hospital with, you know, your child who you know is gonna have to transition sooner, dealing with so much pain that he doesn't deserve by any means. It's a certain experience. So now, on 6/23, we want to honor those families and do whatever we can do to say, I understand that pain.

• 39:20Speaker 05

And we do everything from care packages to, you know, really for, you know, cancer research. We're just trying to raise money and trying to just connect more than anything and create awareness in those spaces for those type of families that are every, you know, we don't think about it sometimes, but it's someone sitting next to a bedside, you know, with their child, not knowing if they're gonna see tomorrow or not. And having been one of those parents, man, it's like, all right, it's not a club you want to be a part of, but when you are a part of it, it's like, you know, you kind of bond together in that way. So that's what we do and try to, again, turn that pain into purpose. Try to turn my son's in, Zen's light to be able to shine throughout the world now.

• 40:01Speaker 05

But it's definitely a tough day every year, but we learn to celebrate his life on 6/23.

• 40:07Ryan Clark?

You mentioned having special needs. Zillion is.

• 40:09Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 40:10Ryan Clark?

Is his name, and he has autism.

• 40:12Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 40:13Ryan Clark?

My brother, his youngest, has autism. He's on the spectrum. And my best friend as well. And I know for them, it was a very hard diagnosis to come to grips with because, you know, I have three kids, and I just remember before they were even born, I had all of these dreams for.

• 40:32Speaker 05

  Right.

• 40:33Ryan Clark?

Right, for my girls, I dreamed of walking them down the aisle. For my son, we were gonna play catch and we were gonna play ball. So you have all of these things, and then immediately it hits you that this child is going to develop a little differently. It's certainly not dealing with the death of a child, but how have you had to adjust to that?

• 40:54Speaker 05

It's so, it's so interesting, man, where.

• 40:59Speaker 05

Obviously, I've had all of those same dreams. And then, being a father of many, you know, when I first had the twins, you used to, "My daughter gonna do this, my son's gonna do this." And then you watch them grow and develop and do what they want to do. And then, having lost a child, that's like, man, that instantly said, "All I want is health and happiness." And then, having to, this whole different experience, where you have a child with special needs, and as I call it, "superpowers", because he just experiences life differently. And, it's not a bad thing, it's just different. But, being a father, I've had so many experiences

• 41:44Speaker 05

that I probably could speak from, "Oh, I know what that's like." Or, "I know..." I also have, you know, a son who's, you know, seven, playing up, you know, with 11, 12-year-olds in basketball and baseball. And, you know, he's seven in the fourth grade, and they calling him a genius, and just his abilities and his understanding. And, you know, to me, golden is no different from zillion. They're just experiencing life differently, you know? And, the love is still there. So, I think, having a plethora of children, and knowing that every individual needs something differently,

• 42:27Speaker 05

and all you want for all of them is health and happiness. And, again, I'm blessed to be able to have the means to say, "You know what, we gonna find the best doctors, we gonna find the best therapists, we gonna build an entire sensory room, so you can stem all you need to..." Like, everyone doesn't have that opportunity. And, you know, and I come from a family that has, you know, we have different diagnoses in the family with, you know, from immediate family members as well. So, it's nothing new to me, but having my own child have that experience, I actually see it as a privilege. You know what I mean? That I get to be the father of such a special child.

• 43:06Channing Crowder?

But you still out of control.

• 43:09Speaker 05

  Yes.

• 43:10Channing Crowder?

That's the thing that when, when you get bred, it's funny when people have money. They think you can, you can solve everything. And you just said it earlier, that's what made me think of it. You like to be in control.

• 43:21Speaker 05

  And I have no control.

• 43:23Channing Crowder?

  You're out of control.

• 43:24Speaker 05

Yes. They, they, if anything, they're controlling me. They're, they're dictating what my process is. And that's the thing, that's where, that's where you're humbled by life, the universe and God. Because there's no amount of money that can, you know, fix whatever my, my children are going through, whether it's, you know, Zillian's diagnosis. And that's the thing too, because another set of twins, you know, so it's, it's Zion and Zillian. And when we first see them, they're, they're perfect, you know, and you're thinking you, and then you're not supposed to, but you're, you're starting to compare where, you know, he's, he's moving a little quick, you know? He walked first and then he wa- and then it was something to where I'm like, alright. You don't want to accept it, it was like,

• 44:09Speaker 05

he's developing way differently, not just that differently than he is. And as you witness that, it's like, okay. You, you start asking the questions, you start, you know, wanting to see different specialists and, you know, they really say you're not supposed to diagnose a, a child with autism until he's probably four or five or maybe even later. But because we had an immediate, you know, comparison, it made it, we took notice. You know, we just took notice that, you know, the eye contact wasn't there like his brother. Or, or, you know, that he actually pays way more attention to details than, you know,

• 44:50Speaker 05

you would think a, a toddler should to certain things and a certain colors. And spending a lot more time, and so be like, alright, this isn't- Normal, you know, you start using those type of terms. And then when you get the, the understanding of like, okay, well, he's just, he's experiencing the world completely different. And there's nothing wrong with that. But we're gonna have to create some parameters and certain things. So at least he can be safe. Cause that's the thing I always say is, is, is health first, safety's next. And then, you know, happiness. So in that order, you know, we want, want everybody to be as healthy as possible. Then, you know, considering when you have a child with, with special needs, you want the environment to be safe.

• 45:32Speaker 05

And you have to, you know, it's a, it's a, it's a different level of baby proof. And when you're, when you're dealing with something like that. And then you wanna make sure, you know, is, is communicating skills. And, you know, you, you wanna create environments to where he may not be as vocal as his twin brother, but he still, we gotta figure out how are we gonna communicate with Zillian in the same way we communicate with Zion. And so, like I said, we're blessed enough to be able to probably, you know, deal with the details a little bit more specifically than, than most would be able to. But it's still, it's still a challenge.

• 46:05Fred Taylor?

And all that you do, what, what, what's the favorite thing? Like you gotta, you gotta have something that's like, that you absolutely love. You probably love it all, but it's one thing that above the rest.

• 46:16Speaker 05

The crazy thing, my vocation is my vacation, man. I love working.

• 46:21Fred Taylor?

You're still that, I was still that.

• 46:23Speaker 05

  I hate vacation.

• 46:25Fred Taylor?

This is one, this is one episode. I would agree to cut the room in half. Because usually we have guest players or whatever that have won championship, Super Bowl. He was like, okay, I'm gonna cut the room in half. Cause y'all not, we have, we didn't win a Super Bowl, right? But so in this situation, I cut it in half. Because watching this guy, the amount of jobs he have in his hustle, I can agree to cut it in half for this episode. Cause y'all are the same, man, in my opinion.

• 46:52Channing Crowder?

  Y'all damn near looking like.

• 46:56Channing Crowder?

I just came back from the Bahamas. I like me a vacation now.

• 47:01Speaker 05

I can't say like Bro! My body hurts if I'm sitting in one place too long. I gotta be doing something, but I always say, man, I'm blessed that I get to wake up and be creative. You know what I mean? Like I'm training for a movie now that I'm gonna shoot in Thailand, like that I wrote. You know what I mean? Like making dreams come true, like create it wild and out, you know what I mean? I get, I'm about to direct a movie with, you know, starring Pretty V and all like I'm like the things like it's like those are the things that drive me and I get excited about it. Man, I could come up with an idea in, in a year. It's a movie, it's a TV show, like that's, I've never gotten sick of that. And I see that as like the greatest gift ever because I remember wishing I could, you know, write a TV show.

• 47:45Speaker 05

I remember I was wishing, I wish I could make money, you know, as an actor or as a comedian. And the fact that I can think something up and it literally turns into money. It literally gives 200 people a job. It literally can, you know, done well and done right, become something classic that people will remember forever. When we're long and gone, like that's the joy of this all, man. And I, I don't know if that's a storyteller, I don't know if that's an artist, I don't know what we define that as, but that truly is one of the greatest blessings. And you know, I'm not an athlete, you know, naturally I'm athletic, but like I always admire like, man, these guys are gladiators. These guys are superheroes and, but I never yearned for that experience.

• 48:27Speaker 05

I, I yearned for the experience to be a creator and make things. And man, that's, that's the best part of it.

• 48:33Ryan Clark?

Be careful in Thailand, watch out for them lady boys.

• 48:36Speaker 05

They can't have babies. I've done movies.

• 48:43Ryan Clark?

Fred, don't start him. Oh, he'd be at the ping pong shot. He wouldn't be at the ping pong shot.

• 48:48Channing Crowder?

Oh, what a man bit of him.

• 48:52Channing Crowder?

So your only pastime is, is fucking?

• 48:57Speaker 05

  I enjoy it.

• 49:00Speaker 05

  That's, that's my release.

• 49:03Speaker 05

Where I got that pent up frustration.

• 49:07Channing Crowder?

That's it. You say vocations vaca-, it is a great saying, but like you gotta, you gotta say sometimes.

• 49:14Speaker 05

And the crazy thing, like my family loves vacation. But that was the thing, Mariah? Miss vacation, like, and does it bigger and better than anybody. She got her own island, she got, you know, it's like, she done, she introduced me to, you know, the, the Capri ocean and yachts. I'd never experienced none of that stuff, but I was like, I can't do this. You know, and even like, I, I don't.

• 49:36Ryan Clark?

  I'm not mad at you.

• 49:37Speaker 05

Yeah, like, I, I need to be working.

• 49:40Fred Taylor?

It's structured, like you, like him, just, just structured.

• 49:43Speaker 05

Somebody give me a call time, let me know.

• 49:45Ryan Clark?

You want to be a kept man, that's why.

• 49:49Channing Crowder?

Looking like I look, man, I need, I need to be sane.

• 49:52Ryan Clark?

  You want a cougar.

• 49:54Fred Taylor?

It, it goes back full circle though, so when you are with the kids or family, the women, like, you have to be present. Like, you gotta disconnect from everything.

• 50:04Speaker 05

Yeah, and that's, that's a struggle for me. And it's really hard, and even, because one, time is limited, you know, because then what is probably, I'm, I'm learning, because if I dedicate this amount of time here, and I need to dedicate that amount of time there.

• 50:23Ryan Clark?

  They gonna ask for it.

• 50:24Speaker 05

And, and it's, and because of social media, it's, and I'm trying to do the best I can, but it's only so many hours in a day, so it's like, alright, well, I saw you in the Bahamas over here, where we going to the Bahamas?

• 50:38Fred Taylor?

  Yeah, yeah.

• 50:39Speaker 05

Where, where, where we going to Guam, or where we going to Bora Bora? And I'm like, I don't have that many vacations in me. And like, and, and being that present, so my thing is like, as long as I'm working, I send y'all on vacation, and I might come pop in, but I gotta be back at work. That's the only thing that keeps me sane, because if I'm thinking, it's, it's actually, when I'm not working, that's the most stressful for me. Cause I'm like, if I'm not working, you know, the, the, the money's getting, you know what I mean?

• 51:14Ryan Clark?

  The bills don't stop.

• 51:14Speaker 05

Yeah, the bill, the bill's gonna keep working, so I'm like, if anything, everyone understands that, and I love to work. That, that keeps me going, so everybody knows, like, it sounds like, it's my, my vocation is my vacation.

• 51:28Ryan Clark?

You know, normally, this is Fred's job, we call it Freddie Flowers, because, because that's who he is, but I feel like people don't give Wildin' Out the credit it deserves. And I say that from this standpoint. The number of, like, Wild 'n Out is almost like the new age and especially our cultures, Saturday Night Live.

• 51:47Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 51:48Ryan Clark?

How so many comedians go from that show and start careers, right? And become extremely popular comedians, actors, entertainers. How proud are you of the legacy?

• 51:59Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 51:59Ryan Clark?

That you were able to start in Wild 'n Out?

• 52:01Speaker 05

It's so funny, man, because when we created it, I didn't think it was any of that. You know what I mean? It literally was me trying to get my friends jobs on MTV. You know what I mean? Like, create, like, it was, and those friends are, now they got more money than me. From Kevin Hart to, you know, Cat Williams, to all of these guys who have become extremely successful. And we were like, yo, we just gonna make a show about what we do at the comedy club. When we standing outside, talking about each other, mamba, you know, freestyling, you know, creating improv skits and stuff like that. And we created this world, and it wasn't because of necessarily my talent, but more from my I for talent, and really trying to create opportunities for my partners. And, you know, because I was doing my thing at the time. I was producing, I was, you know, making music, doing movies.

• 52:46Speaker 05

And MTV was like, well, what do you want to do? Like, Punk had just started. And they were like, well, Ashton's doing this. Do you want to do something like that? I was like, nah, I want to do, I want to, I want to bring my squad with me. I want to do, you know, and again, I'm thinking in Living Color. I'm thinking Def Comedy Jam, I'm thinking Who's Line, Saturday Night Live. But my generation didn't have that. So that's all I was trying to recreate. And I didn't think that it would outlast all of those. You know what I mean? Like, when you think about, we going, other than obviously SNL, that's the holy grail. But there's never been another, you know, comedy show to have this, decades at this point. We've been going on 25 seasons.

• 53:23Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 53:24Speaker 05

You know what I mean? 500-plus episodes, two decades of just giving people opportunities. And the dope thing about it now, because it still feels so youthful because of what social media has created, I got an opportunity to discover kids and give them a platform that probably traditionally wouldn't have gotten on the SNLs or been in movies. But I'm like, nah, he blowing up on Vine, or nah, he blowing up on TikTok, or let's give him an opportunity on Wild 'n Out and get him with an agent, get him with, like, I introduced them into a world because you, there's a strong divide between, you know, what goes on digitally and social media and the real entertainment.

• 54:04Speaker 05

Business says, we call it out here in Hollywood of like agents, managers, producers, movies, that's those for a very long time were two separate worlds. I believe Wild 'n Out has been one of those conduits and bridges to say, nah, you can be a guy that starts in, you know, making videos on your phone and become a movie star through the training process that we create on Wild 'n Out.

• 54:29Ryan Clark?

So it's like, it's what, you know, D-Ray's been on Avion, you ever mentioned Kev, but you got, you know, Matt Rife, all these guys.

• 54:35Speaker 05

Yeah, Mikey Day, all of those, Pete Davidson.

• 54:38Ryan Clark?

One thing I think is amazing though, DC Young Fly when asked, would he host the show, he was like, no, he was like, that's the OG.

• 54:46Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 54:47Ryan Clark?

And I think that when you say you built the platform or you built the show to put people on and they actually recognize and respect it, what was it like to hear DC say that, I don't want, if I do that, I want it given to me from Nick?

• 55:02Speaker 05

Yeah, and I mean, you know, loyalty can't be taught, you know what I mean? You know, solidness is something that's just in you, you know what I mean? And DC's a real solid individual and he, he come from it, you know, and guys who've really been through hell, you know, they, they value, their value system is just different. And he's just one of those dudes that just, they, they don't, they broke the mold when they made DC Young Fly, cause he just cut different because he's literally been through a whole lot in his life and just always so positive and so God fearing. So I don't know if everybody would have made that decision or made that stance. And luckily, you know, since then, it's just been a lot of, of, of growing lessons that

• 55:45Speaker 05

we've learned, you know, even in 2020, it did get shaky, you know, me just out here just doing a lot, you know, and, and trying to take on, you know, different battles and struggles that, you know, that need to be taken on and speaking truths that need to be said and then knowing that that type of stuff comes with consequences, but to know that you have a squad that rocks with you, whether you right or wrong, whether you said something that they understand or don't understand, they like, that's my OG and I'm gonna rock with him and. And it showed the power in unity. And showed the power in our community opposed to, you know, somebody like, oh, they'll just replace. Because that wasn't the first time that I've been in a situation like that with Wild 'N Out.

• 56:27Speaker 05

Obviously, luckily, it was my brand and I had, you know, some say-so in it. But America's Got Talent wasn't my brand.

• 56:34Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 56:34Speaker 05

You know what I mean? And there was a lot of people who were, and no disrespect to anybody who did choose the job over at America's Got Talent when I left. Because that was me standing on purpose again, you know what I mean? Because I felt like there was a lot of stuff going on that, you know, again, I'm probably the most prominent black man, you know, and black host on television at the time. And it just wasn't respected in that way. And they were, literally, the executives had said some things that, you know, they probably wouldn't say in public.

• 57:05Ryan Clark?

  Right.

• 57:05Speaker 05

And I stepped away and they were like, he's replaceable.

• 57:09Ryan Clark?

  Yes.

• 57:09Speaker 05

You know, and they start making the phone calls to all of the people that they thought could replace me. And a lot, a lot of people said no. You know, and the people who didn't, more power to them. I got love for them, you know, I still think America's Got Talent is a great brand and has been, continued to thrive as a show. But what that showed me is I gotta create my own and stand on my own. And that's what Wild 'N Out, I was always had the ability. So when the individuals, I did get an opportunity to help stood by me, regardless of what was going on. And we, we broke through that storm and we got it. I got an opportunity to allow DC to host a bunch of episodes. And, you know, however it goes from here on, this is part of our legacy.

• 57:54Speaker 05

And it's like, I know I could step away and still let them eat. Now they got 85 South and all of the other things that they're producing and brands they're building. Now I'm just, I'm just an example of like, nah, this is how you do it. And now I want to teach them like, create your own Wild 'N Out. So can't nobody fire you from your scenario. And you can create your squad that can stand by you, and that's what they're doing.

• 58:16Speaker 00

Flowing ad budget on metrics that look great, till the CFO sees them? That's bullspend. And marketers are calling it out in Dashboard Confessions.

• 58:26Speaker 01

I remember telling my boss, it'll be good for the brand, when leads were slow. Yeah, it wasn't.

• 58:33Speaker 00

• 58:46Fred Taylor?

You ever think about bringing back the D4 dope bomb squad?

• 58:51Speaker 05

That's so weird because I feel like when that's when people start writing press releases early on. And you're like, I had, I guess there was probably some similarities in myself. I think it was T.I. and Ching. They had like bunched us together like we was in a group. I had a rap group in Dago called The Bomb Squad.

• 59:11Fred Taylor?

  The Bomb Squad.

• 59:12Speaker 05

It was my best friend. And I was just, I was always just wanting to be a producer. He was the doper rapper and I was kind of making the beats and stuff.

• 59:21Speaker 05

But no. I wouldn't bring that back. But it was like, yeah, it's like, that was like, I don't know why that's still in my bio. It's like this rap group I had, you know, when I was like 15 years old.

• 59:35Channing Crowder?

I saw that shit too. I was like, I ain't never heard none of that shit.

• 59:38Speaker 05

Yeah, I was like, I was doing some San Diego shit.

• 59:41Channing Crowder?

The new saying now, standing on business.

• 59:44Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 59:44Channing Crowder?

Standing on business, you brought up the culture.

• 59:46Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 59:47Channing Crowder?

Like it's a lot of, as a black man, a powerful black man, there's a bunch of different things that you have to try to navigate.

• 59:52Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 59:54Channing Crowder?

Do you have any regrets on the decisions? You just talked about what happened with the antisemitic stuff. You know what I'm saying, all that stuff. You have any regrets?

• 1:00:03Speaker 05

No, it was purposeful and it needed to happen. You know what I mean? There was a lot of atonement that occurred in both communities. And even now, you know, it's even more heightened now. And if I wouldn't have went through that experience, you know, I currently, I have a podcast with the CEO of the ADL, you know, that talks about solutions. And we started, we did a series called To Hate or Not To Hate. And really, we just, we was having some real conversations because behind closed doors, before that experience even happened, when I was so-called canceled and people were deeming me antisemitic, I went to the ADL and we sat down and we talked, before we even talked about it, we probably built, once a week, just having a discussion and debates and all of that

• 1:00:49Speaker 05

about our different cultures every week for at least a year. And I didn't tell anybody, I was just really trying to do the work. Because, you know, Minister Farrakhan.

• 1:01:01Speaker 05

Called me to his house and we discussed some things and what he shared with me was so powerful in my journey because obviously they deemed him anti-Semitic and you know want to have those conversations about the nation and he was, he said, "One thing I always stand on is the truth." He was like, "If I'm saying something that isn't the truth, let's get that out of there. I don't want, I don't want nothing but the truth to come out my mouth." And you know, sometimes the truth hurts, sometimes the truth can be depicted in certain ways, but the truth will always be the truth. It never needs to defend itself. He said, "So, go get the truth. Go understand." And I, once he told me that, I said, "I went on a mission. I was like, "I want to know the truth." And through that, there's been

• 1:01:46Speaker 05

a lot of difficult conversations. There's a lot of, you know, discourse between myself and rabbis and different leaders, but you know, as someone who, you know, I went and got a degree in, in all of this stuff and it's like, "No, I, I'm reading every book. I'm understanding and I'm willing to have those debates with someone who has the same level of information that I have." Now, if I'm just sitting here talking about people's opinions and things that they don't understand, then yeah, something I say may sound anti-Semitic to someone or may sound racist to somebody because you don't know, I'm literally talking about history and science here where you guys are just having opinions thinking that I'm this, you know, pompous arrogant black guy that thinks, you know, all black men

• 1:02:27Speaker 05

are gods and we started everything. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying, I know my history and my lineage and where I come from and ultimately if you get to the, to the message, we all come from the same thing. It's just, some people aren't happy that they come from who we are, you know, and so, and that's what I ultimately, I ended up getting on my neck, you know, in Hebrew as well as in Arabic, you know, "Truth is love" or "true love" in both saying. And it's funny because I have people from the, you know, the Islamic community or different Muslims that come to me. Love is truth, truth is love. And they'll see that and be like, nah. People, you know, who are Jewish will be like, true love. You know, Hamad, like, they know what it says on my.

• 1:03:11Speaker 05

And I'm like, I'm trying to show you, literally, when, you know, we're in the midst of a war right now with those two sides. It's like, but if you understand truth and love, that usually should be the solution.

• 1:03:21Ryan Clark?

Yeah, I think the beautiful part about what you said is being willing to have the conversations, but also seeking the knowledge. So many times, we want to give opinions from an uneducated standpoint or perspective. And I think if somebody's doing the work and trying to share and giving you knowledge and receive knowledge, we have to get to a place in society where we listen to learn, not listen to reply, or listen so we can have those conversations. But this is a sports show.

• 1:03:50Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:03:51Ryan Clark?

Right? So I do have a question. So I do have a question.

• 1:03:54Speaker 05

  All right.

• 1:03:55Ryan Clark?

You still mad at the Chargers for leaving?

• 1:03:57Speaker 05

Yes. Come on, man. I was diehard San Diego. But, I mean, obviously, they left and they, they came to L.A. and got it poppin'. So can't be that mad at them. But they, they'll always be the San Diego Chargers for me.

• 1:04:12Ryan Clark?

All right, so you got, so they got.

• 1:04:13Speaker 05

And the San Diego Clippers to be that. Like, Clippers is my favorite basketball team. Just like, I'm.

• 1:04:18Channing Crowder?

Qualcomm was the, was the worst stadium in the history of football.

• 1:04:21Speaker 05

  Really?

• 1:04:22Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:22Speaker 05

  Why?

• 1:04:22Ryan Clark?

Because you, because, one, the, the visitors locker room was made for you to lose. Right? They ain't care nothing about who had to use the bag. If you, if, he got irritable bowel syndrome. So I know, I know when he went to San Diego, he was in.

• 1:04:36Channing Crowder?

You can't have one bathroom stall in there. I, my bad, bro.

• 1:04:41Ryan Clark?

Yeah, so, so he thinks he's ultimately talented, right? So The Masked Singer has had athletes.

• 1:04:47Speaker 05

  Yeah.

• 1:04:48Ryan Clark?

On the show. Who do you think was the best athlete singer to come on or the most entertaining?

• 1:04:55Speaker 05

  Ooh.

• 1:04:56Ryan Clark?

Because I think AB was on.

• 1:04:57Speaker 05

I was gonna say AB was, when you say entertaining, AB's ass came out and did Bobby Brown. I'm rocking it. I think he was supposed to be at training camp. Like, how are you here? Like, that's what he was popping, Bobby. Like, he had just did the 100 million, whatever that deal was. And he, I was like, yo, this is wild. And he like taking it serious too. I was like, so that was probably the most entertaining. It's weird because what they have start, we started doing shows where athletes would come and just be themselves and not necessarily. So I feel like everybody has kind of stepped through there.

• 1:05:33Ryan Clark?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:34Speaker 05

But, you know, the ones who actually, even this season right now, we got a couple that you find out like, man, it's like some different, you know, it'd be like some people, you never even, some punters or that got amazing voices that have been like trained classically and stuff like that. So I think.

• 1:05:53Ryan Clark?

You also just gave away a piece of the show.

• 1:05:54Speaker 05

That's why I was trying to be very careful.

• 1:05:56Ryan Clark?

There's only one specialist in the league who is classically trained. And he's the, he's actually the best specialist of all time. You heard that first on the pivot. We're not gonna say no names. You figure it out yourself.

• 1:06:08Speaker 05

  Yes.

• 1:06:09Ryan Clark?

  Fanatics Sportsbook.

• 1:06:11Speaker 05

Nah, but that's the thing, like you find out people have these, these special gifts and talents that, you know, you know, they, they, y'all need to come on there. I need, come on, like.

• 1:06:19Ryan Clark?

He would love it. I'm not coming on there, nigga. I can't sing.

• 1:06:23Speaker 05

But that's what I said, there's AB can't sing either. He's still pulled up. Like, it's like, they just have, you just get out there at a good time.

• 1:06:30Fred Taylor?

A triple, quadruple sized mask for that big of a guy. Yeah, you.

• 1:06:35Speaker 05

All the athletes do be having the biggest, that's how you know they're athletes. They'll make their costumes bigger than everyone.

• 1:06:40Fred Taylor?

  Super big.

• 1:06:50Fred Taylor?

Before we started, well, after we started, I called, I said, you were the pivot, right? And we always ask our guests, what's their greatest pivot? You know, that, that one moment you can look back on on your, your journey along the way and say, without this moment happening, I wouldn't be who I am today.

• 1:07:06Speaker 05

Man, I've, I've had a lot of pivots. So like, uh. Man, I feel like I haven't even made my best pivot yet. But, um, because I feel like now I'm stepping into this new space of, you know, one, obviously fatherhood, but even just as somebody who's providing opportunities. Where it was all about me before, and now I'm like, I've done everything I could ever want to do. Now, I want to create opportunities. And even in that same sense, probably the greatest pivot probably was wilding out. Because, early on, and people, everybody told me not to do it. I invested my own money.

• 1:07:44Speaker 05

I was trying to, I was at a, you know, emerging music career, emerging film acting career. At the time, it was TV, if you was in movies, why would you even go back to TV? You know what I mean? I'm starring in movies, you know, I got, you know, platinum singles. I'm, you know, even at that time, the trajectory was to be the next Will Smith, you know? And I said, I want to do this show. You know what I mean? Well, I'm focusing on stand-up and my friends. And everybody thought it was a horrible idea. And, you know, look up now, it's a billion-dollar business, you know, that's created so many stars 20 years later.

• 1:08:19Ryan Clark?

You mentioned Will Smith, I actually wanted to get to that. Apparently, like, he bought a pilot that never was shown, right? But, you do have, sort of, it's, I can rap, I can act, I can entertain, I can do all of those things. And recently, the fourth Bad Boys dropped, and he's beat all slapping allegations if it comes down to money.

• 1:08:43Speaker 05

  He all the way back.

• 1:08:45Ryan Clark?

What is it, what is it like, though, to have someone like that, that you actually have a connection to, that you've seen with similar talents reach the heights that he has?

• 1:08:53Speaker 05

Yeah, it's been a blessing and a curse for me, to be honest. First and foremost, if there's anyone in this industry that I gotta give credit to, as well as just like... The man who paved, not just paved the way, but literally gave me opportunities is Will Smith. Like, this man gave me my first record deal, gave me my first television deal. People don't even know this. When it was, it was up between me and another individual for Drumline, he personally made the phone call to the head of the studio and said, "This is the person you need to give the job to." And the, the, the president called me, he's like, "Yo, Will is the one." It's funny because Will made that call for me and we, we had a, in the movie,

• 1:09:38Speaker 05

they needed a rapper celebrity cameo. It ended up being Pepe Pablo. But it was like, "Well, Will got you the job. Can you call Will and come drive to be at the classic?" I was like, "I think he a little busy." But he's opened so many doors, but not only has he opened doors, but he's shown me the, the power of resilience, the power of hard work, and the power of really just being a kind individual to, like, like, that dude walks in a room and he's just nice to everyone. Like, he's, and it's, it's not an act. And I think that's probably even where, you know, what we saw at, at the Academy Awards was so much. So jarring.

• 1:10:21Speaker 05

Yeah, and, and it's had built, he's just, you would never think that would happen, you know, with that individual because he really is the nicest human being in the world. But, you know what I mean? Everybody's cup running over, you know what I mean? So, in that scenario, I've always, or not always, because I think I broke out of it, but I, I say it's a blessing and a curse because he showed me how to do it right every time. Like, I, I was literally, I was on the set of Ali. I was in Men in Black 2. I was, I, that was Big Bro. But then, at the same time, I had this thing over my head like, "Oh, he's the next Will Smith, and he's gonna..." And I was like, "Nah, nah, I want to be the first Nick Cannon." You know what I mean? And it was no disrespect to Big Bro, but it was like, I just wanted to pave my own way,

going back to me not needing anybody and me being this loner. So, it was times where I was like, "Man, I just want to separate myself" and go do, and I would literally make decisions. Like doing something like a wilding out or, you know, things that, you know, Will would never do this. Will's too clean cut to do that. Like, I was literally trying to be, you know, the bad boy or make decisions to get out of being that comparison, you know, early on and, you know, certain type of music I would make like, nah, I want my stuff to be a little grittier or grimer. Like, no, we want you to remake parents just don't understand.

• 1:11:41Ryan Clark?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 1:11:41Speaker 05

You know, and it's like, alright, you know, and like when someone else has a vision for you that you may not fit, you find these, you know, these struggles throughout, especially in this industry.

• 1:11:52Ryan Clark?

And with that, you know, you mentioned like grimmier music. You have music. I remember Jigolo.

• 1:11:57Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:11:57Ryan Clark?

  Right?

• 1:11:58Speaker 05

You were- Will Smith would not make Jigolo for R. Kelly.

• 1:12:01Ryan Clark?

Right, yeah. You were on, you know, on the remix to Ignition video.

• 1:12:04Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:12:04Ryan Clark?

You actually spoke about Diddy before some of the stuff happened. When you have those sorts of acquaintances and you have those sorts of relationships and all of this stuff starts to come out, whether it's about R. Kelly or Diddy, I mean, you know how it is. If something happens to Channing, people, hey, man, you knew that?

• 1:12:23Speaker 05

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:12:23Ryan Clark?

Something happens to Fred, hey, bruh, did you know that Fred was this? So you think about R. Kelly, Diddy, having those relationships. How difficult are those things for you to be able to deal with and go through?

• 1:12:35Speaker 05

Man, these are great questions, uh, because this is stuff I do every single day. And one of the reasons why I built, you know, my latest platform, uh, and it always stems back to what I went through in 2020 of being canceled. And I, uh, and even like having those meetings with the ADL and stuff and I was like, man, you know, when we fall, or like the minister said, you know what I mean? When you see a man fall, don't laugh, learn. And I went to, you know, many different individuals and said, don't cancel me, counsel me.

• 1:13:10Speaker 05

You know what I mean? Like, don't throw me away. Who are we as men to be able to judge at some level that we can throw another human being away? It's like, everybody has the opportunity for reconciliation and atonement. It's just if you're really willing to put the work in, that's what penitentiaries are for. They're for the repentance. They come from the same root word. So if I get the opportunity to say, "I made a mistake here. I misstepped here. I misspoke here. But now you gonna throw me away all the way?" So I come from a space with all of those relationships that I had, you know, eagerly when it's like, "I can't judge that man." You know, I can't, I don't know what demons he's struggling with.

• 1:13:54Speaker 05

I don't know what he's going through, but it's not my job to throw that person away. So hopefully, you know, with building the council culture community and creating, you know, professionals and doctors and clinicians that can say, you know, "We all got problems. We all dealing with mental wellness. We're all dealing with issues of trauma. And how do we deal with that specifically as black men?" We being tore down enough, then we have to start tearing down each other. You know, and when we see something like, you know, the heinous and monstrous, you know, energy of what we saw in that video with Diddy, it's like, man, that brother is troubled. That brother got demons, you know?

• 1:14:35Speaker 05

And not only we see that, it's triggering for so many because we all know people like that. We hate to say it. You know what I mean? We all know people that are dealing with them same demons that R. Kelly's dealing with. And they're close in our family. And we all have our own demons that we try to hide. So I try to be that individual to say, "We all need help." Let's create forums where we can have these type of discussions to say, and not run from the truth, you know? And I think, like Cat Williams said, you know what I mean? It's the year of the truth. It's a lot of reckoning that even as individuals, when it's so interesting, man.

• 1:15:20Speaker 05

You see people talk about puff and all of that stuff. And you're like, "Hey, man, didn't you have a say?" You know, like, and... You know those people are dealing with those struggles now because these are conversations that are current dinner table conversations every day and as fathers, we know and how protective we want to be over our children, specifically our daughters, that now they're asking, you know, I had that conversation with my daughter about, she's like, Dad, that's your friend, right? And I'm like, woo, okay, so I know him, I befriended him, I don't know that person and I've never seen that person.

• 1:16:01Speaker 05

And I cannot be friends with a person who does that. But all we can do is pray for him because if you were the girl on that tape, there would be no more. Him. You know, if it was up to me, you know, so I'm praying that, one, you never have to experience anything like that and you're looking at this scenario and learning that hopefully whatever you see, whether, because again, if we look at it, one of the, he had all of the attractiveness that would lure, you know, innocent women in, the money, the power, the fame, the fun. The charisma.

• 1:16:45Speaker 05

Before, you know, before this year, a Diddy party sounded like a good time. Right. You know, I remember being 16, 17, standing out in the cold in New York, trying to get into a Diddy party that every celebrity, I've DJed parties at Diddy's house where every celeb, they may not be talking about it right now, but every A-list celebrity in the world was there and you're like, this is, this is the holy ground. We had no weird stuff going, everybody's enjoying themselves and having a good time. But now the definition of a Diddy party is. No Diddy. Yeah, right. It sounds dark, it sounds twisted, it sounds like things we can't even fathom. So.

• 1:17:27Speaker 05

It's for my children, you know what I mean? Someone who's been around for decades and you know, even specifically my older children, their mom, even longer than me and having experienced, you know, we know her story and all the triumphs and things that she's been through. To say, yo, if anything, let's just learn. You know, learn from these things that hopefully that, you know, as your parents, we put you in a position that you do not have to fall victim because of things seem like it's fun or seem like it's shining, seem like it's a good time because ultimately we see what goes on and darkness always comes to light.

• 1:18:05Ryan Clark?

Man, that's a wrap, man. That was amazing.

• 1:18:08Speaker 05

  Hey, well, I appreciate it.

• 1:18:09Ryan Clark?

  Honestly.

• 1:18:11Speaker 05

And that's all because of y'all.

• 1:18:12Ryan Clark?

No, honestly, but that was, that was amazing, bro.

• 1:18:17Speaker 06

And give me a fun one. Three, two, one. Beautiful.

• 1:18:21Ryan Clark?

How was the Mark Twain thing, man? You were great.

• 1:18:24Speaker 05

Oh, yeah, thank you, man. That was crazy. Oh. Kev didn't even know I was gonna be there. Cause you know, we got our pranks that we were doing. He came and fucked up the Masked Singer like a week before that, like just ruined the show.

• 1:18:35Ryan Clark?

  Right.

• 1:18:36Speaker 05

And cause we didn't know it was him.

• 1:18:38Ryan Clark?

  Right.

• 1:18:38Speaker 05

And I was like, I'm gonna get your ass back. And then, you know, Mark Twain, I was like, man, I'm gonna act like I'm Eddie Murphy.

• 1:18:43Ryan Clark?

  Right.

• 1:18:43Speaker 05

He loves Eddie and I was like, let him know Eddie might pull up. And so he thought Eddie was really gonna pull up and it was me.

• 1:18:52Ryan Clark?

But who else did you fake announce during the day?

• 1:18:55Speaker 05

  Oh, Angela Bassett.

• 1:18:55Ryan Clark?

  Angela Bassett.

• 1:18:56Speaker 05

I was just ripping on that side. I was like, cause I knew I was gonna bring out Chris Rock, but I was like, Kev love Eddie so much, so I was like, if he think Eddie gonna come and then I'll pop out, he gonna be pissed like a motherfucker. Like, oh, his biggest night in comedy? I got your ass now, so.

• 1:19:12Ryan Clark?

  Bro, y'all ridiculous, dawg.
