This is 5 Minute Friday, episode number 420, and you've got to finish strong. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here. It is the end of the year. And no matter if this is the end of a season for you, the end of the year for you, the end of a career for you, you've always got to finish strong. You know, in a sports season, people remember two things, how you start and how you finish. The finish is what it's all about. It's what builds momentum for the start of the next season, the next career, the next year. But if you don't finish strong, it's going to take you that much more energy and momentum to build into starting something new.

Guys, I am finishing so strong. We're going to make this our biggest month of the entire year. The biggest month in terms of income, the biggest month in terms of impact. We're going all in, and we're building upon that for the first few months of next year, so that we start strong. Robin Sharma said that starting strong is good, but finishing strong is epic. You know, there are a lot of people that come to me who are struggling throughout the year. They're not sure what they want. They're not sure what their vision is. They go from thing to thing. They're frustrated because they were excited about one thing, and then they lose interest. They're chasing another thing all the time. And here's the thing. It's important to start strong. It's important to finish strong.

But Ralph Marston said, "Start strong, stay strong, and finish strong by always remembering why you're doing it in the first place." I feel like I'm constantly building momentum, even though the beginning and the end is the most important time. If you start and finish strong, then you're going to be building momentum throughout the way, because you're remembering why you're doing it in the first place. When we're clear on our vision, this is why in the first chapter of the School of Greatness book, we talk so much about setting the vision for what you want, why you're doing these things, so that when adversity strikes in the middle, you remember why you're doing it in the first place. Without that clear, purposeful, powerful vision, guys,

• 2:15Lewis Howes?

you will not stay strong throughout the middle. You'll try to get some energy at the beginning. You'll try to get some energy at the end, but you'll fall off all the way in the middle. When you know why you're doing what you're doing, when you get clear, when you build that lifestyle around your vision, and it doesn't become a burden, but it becomes a mission, then that's when the momentum carries and carries throughout each day, each month, throughout the entire year. So when you start and finish strong, it's all purposeful. You know, Conrad Hilton said, "Success seems to be connected with action." Successful men keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit.

Here's the thing, you're gonna make a lot of mistakes with a big vision that you have leading into this next year. You're gonna make mistakes. You're trying something new. You're exploring new territories. In that process, you're gonna get off track. You're gonna go off the path a little bit. But when we are committed to our vision and we build on that momentum of the beginning, leading towards a vision at the end, it's so much easier to get back on track. It's so much easier to stay committed to our habits and to surround ourselves with positive people. It's so much easier to find the answers, the solutions, the things we need, the tools, to be skilled in what we need to create to fulfill that vision. But when we are scatterbrained, when we're going from thing to thing,

• 3:45Lewis Howes?

it's hard to create any type of great results in our life. Wouldn't you agree? It's hard to start strong because we don't know what we're going towards. And it's hard to finish strong because we're so scattered throughout the entire season, or career, or year. Success is connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make a lot of mistakes, but they don't quit. Make this year the most powerful year you've ever had. There are gonna be mistakes. I already know I'm gonna make mistakes. I'm gonna, I'm gonna do things that I probably wish I wouldn't have done. I'm going to go after things that maybe don't work out. But I'm clear on my vision. I'm clear on what I want. I'm clear on what I want for my team, what we're going after.

• 4:30Lewis Howes?

The, the income result, the impact result, it's clear. And so it's gonna give me so much more focus on how to finish and start strong. Get clear on what you want. I cannot emphasize this enough. The people that know what they want. People can support them on getting there. When we don't know what we want, that's when we struggle. That's when we suffer. That's when we're frustrated. Get clear. Start dreaming. Dream. Allow yourself to open up and think about what's possible for you. Think about the life you want to live in this next season of your life, the next year of your life. Imagine what you could create with a clear, purposeful, powerful vision.

Finish strong, my friends. This is episode number 425 in a Friday. I'm very excited about finishing strong this year. This is literally the biggest month we've had all year in, in all areas. And I'm getting so excited about the vision we're creating as School of Greatness continues to evolve and grow into next year. Some big, big things ahead. I already see it. I'm planning out every single week of the next year, based on the programs we have, the events we're doing, the book launch that I have, speaking, everything that we're doing, it is mapped out. I'm planning to succeed as opposed to just like, let me see what happens day by day. You know, some things might get caught off track and some things may not go the right way,

• 5:59Lewis Howes?

but at least I'm planning for my vision to happen and I can adjust according to the feedback based on what I'm creating. I hope you guys are setting yourselves up to win for next year. Finish strong and build the momentum into the best year ever.
