Hi, it's Nancy Glass. The brand-new docu-series, Burden of Guilt, was a very difficult story to tell. Very difficult for Tracy Raquel, who was the victim and the hero.

• 0:14Speaker 01

Imagine, all you know is that you had a brother. The brother died when he was four months.

• 0:21Speaker 02

I was told that Matthew died in an accident.

• 0:24Speaker 03

We were amazed at what we saw.

• 0:26Speaker 02

I can't imagine sitting with the kind of mystery of what happened with your baby brother.

• 0:31Speaker 01

  This was a once-in-a-lifetime case.

• 0:34Speaker 02

Medical records said that I had killed my baby brother. I don't understand.

• 0:47Speaker 01

  A two-year-old didn't throw this child from a crib.

• 0:51Speaker 02

Is there any kind of possibility that I could have done this? It's an unimaginable sort of trauma to inflict on a person. Honestly, it just didn't make any sense.

• 1:04Speaker 01

There was a skull fracture, and we knew that couldn't have been caused by his sister. There's no way in hell that this child died from being pushed. Something doesn't wash here.

• 1:14Speaker 02

I just didn't believe it. But if I didn't do it, who did?

• 1:21Speaker 01

I don't care how old of a case it is. Let's go exhume the body. That's when those wheels began to turn.

• 1:29Speaker 02

Is it possible Matthew's death wasn't an accident?

• 1:34Speaker 01

To me, it felt like the case had started right there. While we had prosecuted some cold cases, this was the coldest. This was frigid.

• 1:43Speaker 02

Tracy begins to realize that her parents are hiding something. They weren't parents to me. They were monsters.

• 1:53Speaker 02

There are so many twists and turns.

• 1:55Speaker 03

You leave her alone. That's a threat.

• 1:58Nancy Glass?

I wanted to talk about your son Matthew's death. My nerves are just too bad. I can't get drawn into Tracy's fantasies anymore.

• 2:08Nancy Glass?

Fifteen years. She's carried the burden.

• 2:12Speaker 01

Tracy, her whole life, has fought, trying to bring justice. But there was nothing that anyone could have done to prepare us.

• 2:21Speaker 02

  What just happened?

• 2:24Speaker 01

  Just like that.

• 2:28Speaker 02

All my life, I knew there was something wrong with Matthew's death. But I was not prepared to learn the truth.

• 2:39Nancy Glass?

You can see the complete three-part docu-series on Paramount+ beginning February 4.
