• 1:18Connor Wood?

It's gonna be in my bio. Sorry.

• 1:40Connor Wood?

  Let's get into it.

• 1:42Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:44Connor Wood?

  Hi, everybody.

• 1:46Brooke Averick?

Welcome back to the Brooke and Connor Make-A Podcast.

• 1:48Connor Wood?

Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome to Elyria. Name the movie.

• 1:54Brooke Averick?

  Ella Enchanted.

• 1:56Connor Wood?

  Wrong.

• 1:56Brooke Averick?

  Wait, hold on.

• 1:59Connor Wood?

  Welcome, welcome.

• 2:00Brooke Averick?

Wait, you know that that's the Illyrian Mountains. That's the play, that's in, from Agitar. Is that what you're talking?

• 2:08Connor Wood?

Well, I don't think it's from Agitar. Let's talk about where.

• 2:11Brooke Averick?

  Not Agitar.

• 2:12Connor Wood?

Okay. Let's talk about Agitar and let's talk about where they maybe drew inspiration from. Like, maybe Agitar drew their inspo from She's the Man. Perhaps.

• 2:25Brooke Averick?

Oh, but She's the Man, you know what that's based off of?

• 2:31Connor Wood?

  The Iliad?

• 2:33Brooke Averick?

Is it Twelfth Night? I know it's Shakespeare.

• 2:36Connor Wood?

  The Odyssey.

• 2:37Brooke Averick?

  Nope, Shakespeare.

• 2:40Brooke Averick?

  So that's.

• 2:41Connor Wood?

The Odyssey was written by Odette.

• 2:42Brooke Averick?

Illyria then is, I think that was directly taken from Twelfth Night, if I'm not wrong. So that's where, maybe where S.A.M. got her. What?

• 2:51Connor Wood?

You absolutely do not say, that's Shakespeare? I don't know why.

• 2:54Brooke Averick?

That is Shakespeare. There's a few, like, modern remakes of Shakespeare. It's, uh, She's the Man.

• 3:00Connor Wood?

  Oh, brother, where art thou?

• 3:02Brooke Averick?

No, I'm talking about like, modern as in like, completely flipped on its head and made into like, something that we can digest via Amanda Bynes.

• 3:12Brooke Averick?

He's All That, maybe, or some? There's a few, few of those.

• 3:17Connor Wood?

  You don't say.

• 3:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 3:19Connor Wood?

Okay, it's Ten Things I Hate About You.

• 3:21Brooke Averick?

Yeah, Ten Things I Hate About You, yeah, yeah.

• 3:22Connor Wood?

Wait, I need to dive into some Shakespeare.

• 3:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, it's really fun.

• 3:26Connor Wood?

  The Lion King?

• 3:28Brooke Averick?

Which one is that based off of? Hamlet?

• 3:30Connor Wood?

  Hamlet.

• 3:31Brooke Averick?

  Hamlet.

• 3:33Connor Wood?

Um, I would start Get Over It, I've Never Heard Of, Romeo and Juliet, random. A Midsummer Night's Dream, yeah, that makes sense. West Side Story. And.

• 3:43Brooke Averick?

No, these, those are, like, are Shakespeare.

• 3:45Connor Wood?

And She's the Man. Can we, can we click on She's the Man and just, I wanna, I wanna see some of the.

• 3:49Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 3:50Connor Wood?

The, uh, the parallels, yeah. I have not been able to find words.

• 3:53Brooke Averick?

Twelfth Night is about a, a girl who has to dress like a, a man. Because of something, I forget exactly what.

• 4:01Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, we are not on prezzy.com looking at the

• 4:05Brooke Averick?

  We might be.

• 4:05Connor Wood?

  The parallel.

• 4:06Brooke Averick?

But we watched She's the Man in Class when we were doing 12th Night.

• 4:10Connor Wood?

  How nice is that?

• 4:11Brooke Averick?

  It was nice.

• 4:12Connor Wood?

  That is nice.

• 4:15Connor Wood?

I just don't, oh, 12th Night is the Shakespeare.

• 4:17Brooke Averick?

Yes, 12th Night is the Shakespeare piece.

• 4:19Connor Wood?

So that's the part that I was not

• 4:21Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 4:21Connor Wood?

  Okay. Well, that's pretty cool.

• 4:23Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 4:24Connor Wood?

I think maybe they should do that more. I think that

• 4:26Brooke Averick?

  I like that idea.

• 4:27Connor Wood?

It's never hurt to have like some, some modern renditions of

• 4:30Brooke Averick?

West Side Story is the modern rendition of Romeo and Juliet.

• 4:34Connor Wood?

  You don't say.

• 4:35Brooke Averick?

  Yes, I do.

• 4:37Connor Wood?

I do say. Okay. I do.

• 4:40Brooke Averick?

Wait, which I kind of love because Rachel Zegler is in, she's in West Side Story and now she's in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway. That's cool. I love her.

• 4:49Connor Wood?

Yeah, that's awesome. I love her too. That's really cool. Okay. Wow. I love stuff like that. Like I love, uh, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? That was one of my favorite movies.

• 4:58Brooke Averick?

  Never even heard of it.

• 5:00Connor Wood?

  It's with, uh, George?

• 5:06Connor Wood?

  Et cetera.

• 5:07Brooke Averick?

Oh, you're probably thinking of Bran Galden.

• 5:10Connor Wood?

I'm thinking of Bran Galden. Yeah. No, it's George Clooney. Yeah. I don't know any of the other people at all.

• 5:18Brooke Averick?

John Goodman, you, I'm sure you know.

• 5:20Connor Wood?

Yeah, I've heard of John Goodman.

• 5:21Brooke Averick?

He's in, he's in like everything. Not like I can name specifically though.

• 5:24Connor Wood?

  If someone hasn't

• 5:25Brooke Averick?

  Like Roseanne or something.

• 5:26Connor Wood?

Roseanne, yeah. If someone has not seen Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Because I, I didn't know that you hadn't, that wasn't just like common knowledge. To see Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? It is a fabulous movie. It's so good and it has one of my favorite songs that's ever been written, ever. I think about it all the time. I am a man of restless sorrow. We have to listen to it in the bonus. It's so good. It's gonna give you guys chills. If you listen to it, listen to it today. Homework. Listen to A Man of, it's by the Soggy Bottom Boys.

• 6:00Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 6:01Connor Wood?

You surely have heard of this.

• 6:02Brooke Averick?

  I haven't.

• 6:04Connor Wood?

  The SBB's.

• 6:06Brooke Averick?

So George Clooney plays Ulysses, so it's a retelling of The Odyssey?

• 6:10Connor Wood?

Ulysses Everett. Yeah, The Odyssey. Written by Odysseus.

• 6:16Brooke Averick?

  Fabulous.

• 6:18Connor Wood?

And how were they writing books back then? There, I said it.

• 6:22Brooke Averick?

  What do you mean?

• 6:23Connor Wood?

Wait, was Odysseus a real person?

• 6:26Brooke Averick?

  Isn't it by Homer?

• 6:28Connor Wood?

  Oh, my gosh, who's Odysseus?

• 6:30Brooke Averick?

  The character.

• 6:33Connor Wood?

I was like, was Odysseus like Beyonce? He just had one name?

• 6:37Brooke Averick?

No, I'm sure he has a last name in the book.

• 6:40Connor Wood?

  Odysseus Smith?

• 6:41Brooke Averick?

I'm sure it's Smith or like Greenblatt.

• 6:44Connor Wood?

  Greenblatt.

• 6:49Connor Wood?

Okay, who the hell's Homer, though?

• 6:51Brooke Averick?

  The author. He's Beyonce.

• 6:55Connor Wood?

  He's Beyonce. Oh, he's a...

• 6:59Connor Wood?

No face card on Homer. Face card has been declined. You're gonna have to pay. Okay, wow, he is fugly. Homer is fugly. Sorry, Homer, if you're listening.

• 7:10Brooke Averick?

Like, what time? Oh, this is like B.C. BCE. 8th century.

• 7:18Brooke Averick?

How did the Odyssey make its way? And how do we understand it? Oh, wait, is it translated from Greek? I don't want to move on.

• 7:25Connor Wood?

Yeah, we can't do this. This is not, this is simply like, this is like a little bit, like, one degree removed from what we're able to digest on this podcast.

• 7:33Brooke Averick?

I don't want to move on.

• 7:34Connor Wood?

I will say I got a gua sha. That's more our speed.

• 7:37Brooke Averick?

  Are you liking it?

• 7:38Connor Wood?

No, it hurts so bad. I think I'm doing it wrong. Yesterday, I did it. And, you know, I wanted to look a little... Snatched. I wanted to look a little put together. I've been eating a lot of Chinese food in my bed. So I needed to bring my swelling down from that. And so I got this gua sha. And I got some, something seed oil, whatever. It's like, I'm not ingesting this specific seed oil, but I'm just putting it in my face. And I'm doing this thing. Ow, ow, ow. And I'm not really looking, at some point, you figure out...

• 8:16Connor Wood?

At some point, you figure out the motion. So I'm like, I don't even need to sit in front of the mirror and do this like over every, you bring shit up from your neck and then you do the jaw and you do something here. And then you bring it all down. I look at my face in the mirror afterwards. It looks like I have been hooking up with a Dyson air vac and have hickies all over my body, all over my face. I look like I have been

• 8:40Brooke Averick?

You got hickies from your guash?

• 8:42Connor Wood?

  I got just absolutely bruised.

• 8:45Brooke Averick?

  Sucked off from the guash.

• 8:46Connor Wood?

To the, I look like Jay Leno when he fell down that hill.

• 8:49Brooke Averick?

  Oh, my god.

• 8:50Connor Wood?

Black and blue and red all over.

• 8:54Brooke Averick?

  I had no idea.

• 8:55Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:57Connor Wood?

Um, what's black and blue and red all over?

• 8:59Brooke Averick?

  Uh, Jonathan in a sweater.

• 9:02Connor Wood?

  Cute.

• 9:02Brooke Averick?

  And a red sweater.

• 9:03Connor Wood?

  Yeah, that's cute.

• 9:03Brooke Averick?

  But a newspaper.

• 9:06Connor Wood?

There's no blue in a newspaper.

• 9:08Brooke Averick?

Oh, you said black and blue?

• 9:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I didn't, I didn't have.

• 9:10Brooke Averick?

Oh, sorry. I, I heard black and white.

• 9:11Connor Wood?

I didn't have an answer for you.

• 9:12Brooke Averick?

  Jonathan, so not Jonathan.

• 9:14Connor Wood?

  Mm-mm.

• 9:14Brooke Averick?

Um, wait, really quick before we move on, just want to address.

• 9:19Connor Wood?

I wasn't even ready to move on from Guash. No, just kidding, I was.

• 9:22Brooke Averick?

I just wanted to address the fires.

• 9:23Connor Wood?

  Yeah, we should.

• 9:24Brooke Averick?

Cause it's just so horrible. I'm like in in complete shock.

• 9:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 9:31Brooke Averick?

Um, so that's been scary. After last week, after last episode, I went to San Diego.

• 9:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 9:39Brooke Averick?

Just as a precaution, even though the Palisades are not near me.

• 9:43Connor Wood?

And if you listen to the bonus, I'm telling Brooke, Brooke, a nuke would have to go off for the West Hollywood to catch on fire.

• 9:49Brooke Averick?

But I was obviously panicking and like, just terrified. Went home and then my friends and I evacuated to San Diego just like as a precaution. Like as you were saying, like the fires weren't near me. It was probably like just, just really being safer than sorry. But the second we got to San Diego.

• 10:08Brooke Averick?

Runyon was ablaze, which is like two miles from my house. I truly thought I was gonna wake up the next morning with no house.

• 10:16Connor Wood?

  I know.

• 10:17Brooke Averick?

Truly. That one was contained, but it really is just like so scary. And I'm thinking so much about the people who've been affected. And Izzy, can we put like resources in the bio of this week's episode? That would be great.

• 10:31Connor Wood?

Yeah, we'll do that. And then also we'll figure out something else. I guess just like watch what we can do. It's been, the interesting thing is that there have been so many, like such an influx of donations that a lot of places are like, we're good on clothes, we're good. Something that is evergreen, cash is always king in this situation. So like people still need money like, and an evergreen place that you can donate if you're looking for somewhere. A lot of people were DMing me being like, can I send, where can I ship things? It's like stuff, we don't need more stuff. People have the stuff, but L A F D also always needs cash. That's like a good, safe place. It's gonna go to good use.

• 11:09Connor Wood?

And there's a lot of like, like previously incarcerated youth that now work in the fire department too. So there's a lot of people that are like underpaid and that's why giving food, like feeding the firefighters too is so important. But it was really cool. Something that's cool is like, obviously everyone came together. But one of the, I always thought somewhere that always needs funds and food and physical goods is humane societies.

• 11:36Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 11:37Connor Wood?

Passion humane society was turning people away.

• 11:39Brooke Averick?

No, everyone, it's great. I guess everyone, like I went to, Megan and I were trying to find a place to drop off a lot of clothes. I mean, there was nowhere that would take them, which is great because they're like so packed with things that people need, but it's, yeah, I think money is the way to go now. I dropped off, I raised money for, not I raised money, like you, you guys raised money that I collected via my Venmo for L A Animal Services. So that was great. So I dropped off that check yesterday. That was so tough to be in that shelter.

• 12:17Brooke Averick?

I don't even want to talk about the shelter, actually, but if you can give money to the animals in any way, that would also.

• 12:24Connor Wood?

I know. I know. I started crying when I picked up Max.

• 12:26Brooke Averick?

Oh, my God. I'm like, I'm sick.

• 12:28Connor Wood?

I know. It's such a, that's such a, it's a crazy thing, but yeah, that, that's always helpful. We'll find other shelters too. Cause a lot of them are outdoors. So with the, with the smoke and ashes too, that's just like, not good.

• 12:40Brooke Averick?

No, and there's, there are so many pets that aren't, Brett, our friend Brett, really wanted to adopt a dog, but he wasn't adoptable for like another five days because there are so many pets that people are just like, they have their chipped. We're just waiting to see if their owners will, will come get them or not. So there's like a grace period of like time that their owners can come get them before they get adopted. So there was no one we could take home yesterday, except for this young man in the parking lot. I'm sorry, young woman. This little baby dog that Brett was like, you'll just, you'll just come home with me. So now we have Rita as a member of the family and she's so precious.

• 13:20Connor Wood?

I was scared that was gonna happen with Max too. Someone was gonna see him and like, that's my dog. And I'm like, you're gonna have to bring a firearm, cause I'm not giving him up.

• 13:28Brooke Averick?

  My cold daddy hand.

• 13:29Connor Wood?

I'm gonna go knife to a gunfight. Yeah, insane. You know what's so insane? Not to shift gears, we'll provide stuff. I went on this hike that I always go on. Almost every weekend I go on this hike in the Palisades. And I went on this hike the night.

• 13:42Brooke Averick?

  You went on it?

• 13:43Connor Wood?

  The night before.

• 13:43Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 13:44Connor Wood?

The night before. My friend Kylie texted me right after I got home from it and it was the most gorgeous night. And my friend Kylie texted me the next day and was like, or that night and was like, hey, I'm gonna go in the morning before I go to work. Do you wanna go? And I was like, can't. I have to be in West Hollywood at 9:00 AM, whatever. And so I didn't go. She did the hike at nine. She got done with the hike at 9:15 AM. Got in her car at 10:30 AM. It was like Palisades fire has begun. And so she's, she, she reported all of the people she saw on the hike to the police. Cause you had to describe, it started, and it started on the trail that I ran the night before.

• 14:22Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 14:23Connor Wood?

And she was on that morning.

• 14:24Brooke Averick?

It's just, it's just insane, truly. Truly, truly.

• 14:28Connor Wood?

  Any who, dad.

• 14:30Brooke Averick?

Wait, also, when we evacuated to San Diego, there were between us four cats. Which was really an experience.

• 14:41Brooke Averick?

Cats don't really like each other from the onset. It's really hard to introduce cats to each other. You're supposed to do it really slowly, but we didn't really have the luxury of doing that, especially in the car.

• 14:55Brooke Averick?

The way my man hisses at only female cats, it's really interesting. When it comes to male cats, he actually humped cheddar.

• 15:06Connor Wood?

  He's gay.

• 15:06Brooke Averick?

  I didn't know.

• 15:07Connor Wood?

  He's a gay man.

• 15:07Brooke Averick?

Obviously, he's gay. Like, I knew that pretty early on with him, but like, it was fabulous to see like, yeah, this is a gay man, truly, tried and true.

• 15:16Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 15:17Brooke Averick?

Humping cheddar, and then the two girls, he couldn't, couldn't stand them.

• 15:21Connor Wood?

  Couldn't stand.

• 15:22Brooke Averick?

Couldn't stand them. He's not, he's like heterophobic almost. Yeah.

• 15:27Connor Wood?

  Problematic.

• 15:28Brooke Averick?

  My problematic king.

• 15:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 15:30Brooke Averick?

  My problematic gay king.

• 15:31Connor Wood?

He's so far, he's so far on the spectrum that he's been, he's, he's part of the problem.

• 15:37Brooke Averick?

Yeah, he swung too far left.

• 15:38Connor Wood?

Swung too far, yeah, for the others.

• 15:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, but that's my son.

• 15:41Connor Wood?

He swung too hard for the others.

• 15:42Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:43Connor Wood?

  Um, aww, cute.

• 15:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:45Connor Wood?

Well, I'm glad that everything worked out.

• 15:48Connor Wood?

I didn't evacuate, which was just, I was, I was safe the whole time, but um, I was like, I'll just stay, and then if anyone needs anything, I'll be able to do that here. And I, I was early enough to the donation center stuff that we like, my friends own this, this surf shop, Sabah Surf, Sabah Surf, I think, maybe. It's on Venice Boulevard. If you're in Venice, check it out. They have good coffee, too. They have a coffee shop at that shit. They were like the first people that were like, we're accepting donations. Now they're doing like a surfboard drive for like, in the surfing community that was affected, and people are donating a ton of surfboards. I think in the first day, they, they received $50,000 in donations, and they're just like, boots on the ground, not like a foundation, nothing.

• 16:33Connor Wood?

I was like, wow, that's incredible. But I stayed, and then they're like, the air quality, because the houses that are burning are like pre-1950s, like pre-war, so they used like asbestos and lead paint and uranium, all that stuff to build those houses, so that burns, and now it's in the air. And I was like, well, at least I'm safe down here. I walked to get a coffee, and I'm in Venice, because I could see the smoke, but I walked to get a coffee, and I'm sitting there, and I get on my phone, and I look back at my coffee. It's, has a mountain of ash sitting on the lid.

• 17:00Brooke Averick?

  There's no way.

• 17:01Connor Wood?

Yeah, in like, five minutes, and I was like... Oh, I need a mask.

• 17:08Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 17:08Connor Wood?

I need a mask up. So I drove to Palm Springs for Saturday. But anyways.

• 17:14Brooke Averick?

  Anyway.

• 17:15Connor Wood?

  Very, uh, yeah, harrowing.

• 17:17Brooke Averick?

It's so, it really is apocalyptic. One, just to look out your window and see the smoke. But two, I'm finding just like the social media presence around it to be so apocalyptic too.

• 17:28Connor Wood?

  Like dystopian.

• 17:29Brooke Averick?

Like Black Mirror episode, vlogging the city burning down.

• 17:34Connor Wood?

Yeah. Yeah. I also, oh my gosh, it's so hard. It's so hard because when I see stuff like this and it's like, okay, they are like making.

• 17:46Connor Wood?

It's so hard to put into words because like, it is like you, they are doing good, but it's like, are, are you doing this? For you?

• 17:55Brooke Averick?

Well, it's also hard because I was thinking that too.

• 17:57Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 17:57Brooke Averick?

Because, um, people donated to my Venmo so that I could give that to the LA Animal Services. And then I was like, I don't want to post the check.

• 18:07Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:07Brooke Averick?

Because it feels like, ooh, look, look what I.

• 18:09Connor Wood?

  I did, yeah.

• 18:10Brooke Averick?

But I also felt like I had to because I wanted to show you like, I actually, I'm not pocketing your money.

• 18:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:15Brooke Averick?

Like I'm, I'm sending it to the animals.

• 18:17Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:17Brooke Averick?

But I felt so weird doing it. And then obviously everyone was like, you really shouldn't post your signature. Like had to find something. I was like, it's just my name in cursive. Like,

• 18:28Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:29Brooke Averick?

  I don't, come on, let.

• 18:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah, let.

• 18:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. No.

• 18:32Connor Wood?

It's okay. You shouldn't post your signature, by the way.

• 18:34Brooke Averick?

  I know that.

• 18:35Connor Wood?

  You shouldn't post anymore.

• 18:36Brooke Averick?

  I agree.

• 18:37Connor Wood?

You should stop posting. You should start blurring out your face when you post selfies.

• 18:41Brooke Averick?

  I agree.

• 18:42Connor Wood?

  So that.

• 18:42Brooke Averick?

Cause you, people might figure out who you are.

• 18:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah. People, people might be.

• 18:46Brooke Averick?

It might be dangerous. People could figure out who you are and find you.

• 18:49Connor Wood?

You should start posting and, you should start posting and putting an emoji, a huge emoji of your face.

• 18:53Brooke Averick?

I also once posted something. And it was out my window. There was nothing out my window but clouds. Like no buildings, no recognizable anything. And someone commented on the video and was like, someone can find where you live. Like I would delete this. I think she was saying like they could recognize the cloud.

• 19:13Connor Wood?

But like That looks like a gingerbread man.

• 19:15Brooke Averick?

  People really

• 19:16Connor Wood?

  And I'm waiting outside.

• 19:17Brooke Averick?

It's, it's, that scares me when people comment that because it's like, that's only drawing attention for some creep to like, see your comment and then like, get the idea to find me via cloud. Like, you're not helping, like, huh, it's scary.

• 19:31Connor Wood?

  I know, it is freaky.

• 19:32Brooke Averick?

But, um, yay. Anyway, just don't post your signature or your face or

• 19:39Connor Wood?

  Anywhere you are.

• 19:39Brooke Averick?

  Anywhere you might be.

• 19:42Connor Wood?

  Or you're going.

• 19:42Brooke Averick?

  Or the clouds.

• 19:44Connor Wood?

  Never post the clouds.

• 19:45Brooke Averick?

No matter who you are, or who you might be, or where you're going, or, uh, who you might be.

• 19:57Brooke Averick?

Or where you're going. Do you know what that's from?

• 20:02Connor Wood?

I do, but I can't place, I was trying to

• 20:03Brooke Averick?

I'm trying to get more. I, I'm forgetting the rest of it. Or who you are going with, or, or what you might be doing. It's when, in the office, when David Wallace is like, how do, how are you doing it, Michael? Like, how is your branch successful? And then he just starts talking and has nothing to say. He's like, well, David, here it is. I'm gonna give it to you right now. Here it is. And it's, you know, vis a vis, the following.

• 20:33Connor Wood?

  I love vis a vis.

• 20:34Brooke Averick?

No matter who you are, or where you're going, or, or who, who you're with, never, ever, no matter what, no matter where you're going.

• 20:49Connor Wood?

Was that when he was going to get the job and then he, he thought he was gonna get the job and then he doesn't end up getting it?

• 20:53Brooke Averick?

  No, that was after.

• 20:55Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 20:55Brooke Averick?

When he, like, Scranton became like, the best branch and David was like, I just don't understand how. And that was Michael's response.

• 21:45Brooke Averick?

Also, I've obviously been rewatching The Office. I did it all the way through. I'm heading back to the beginning now. I think that Jan is probably the most brilliant comedic character of all time.

• 21:59Connor Wood?

  Jan's great.

• 22:00Brooke Averick?

Jan is... There has never been anything like or will be like Jan ever again. Like, so brilliant to make a character that starts off as this straight-laced, professional, rule follower, and just have her devolve completely. But yeah, it's just so... I just fucking love Jan.

• 22:21Connor Wood?

  Good.

• 22:22Brooke Averick?

  If I could play.

• 22:22Connor Wood?

And I love that that went from... The development of Jan was just like, she can't stand him, and he's like her...

• 22:31Connor Wood?

Like, Michael's like her so far subordinate. And then it ends up like she's getting a boob job to get back with Michael. And like, he ends up supporting her.

• 22:41Brooke Averick?

  It's perfect.

• 22:41Connor Wood?

  It's well done.

• 22:42Brooke Averick?

It's perfect. And it's not like... I could go on. I could do a thesis about Jan. Jan Levinson Gould.

• 22:49Connor Wood?

Gould. I couldn't figure out... I thought I was getting those underground pimples that hurt really bad all over my face. It's my gua sha.

• 22:57Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 22:57Connor Wood?

No, my gua sha abusing abused me.

• 23:00Brooke Averick?

  Baby, stop.

• 23:01Connor Wood?

No, because I want to look like the people on my explore page.

• 23:04Brooke Averick?

  I want a facelift.

• 23:08Brooke Averick?

Oh, I have to tell you something.

• 23:09Connor Wood?

  I want a face... I want a face pull.

• 23:12Brooke Averick?

  I think that's a facelift.

• 23:13Connor Wood?

What's the opposite of lift? I want to look like this.

• 23:15Brooke Averick?

  Why?

• 23:17Connor Wood?

Because I just want to upset the beauty standard. And be like, I don't need to... I don't need to... I don't need that to be beautiful. I want to look like Homer. Maybe I want to look like Homer.

• 23:27Brooke Averick?

Maybe you do. Do it, then.

• 23:29Connor Wood?

  I don't.

• 23:29Brooke Averick?

  Do it. I dare you.

• 23:30Connor Wood?

  I want to be beautiful.

• 23:32Brooke Averick?

Speaking of I want to be beautiful.

• 23:33Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 23:35Brooke Averick?

Something really bad is about to happen with my appearance, and I'm so freaked out. It's... It's not good.

• 23:41Connor Wood?

  What do you mean?

• 23:45Brooke Averick?

I have to get my teeth out.

• 23:50Connor Wood?

  All of them, a couple?

• 23:52Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 23:52Connor Wood?

  Which specific tooth?

• 23:54Brooke Averick?

So, here's the deal. My teeth used to be like janked out. Is that the word, janky?

• 24:00Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 24:01Brooke Averick?

  Is that a slur?

• 24:02Connor Wood?

Janked out, I've never heard of that.

• 24:03Brooke Averick?

  Is that a slur?

• 24:04Connor Wood?

  No.

• 24:06Brooke Averick?

Because I had two snaggle teeth, okay? These big teeth next to my two front teeth are both snaggle teeth, but I got them bonded. So there's like fake teeth, basically.

• 24:16Connor Wood?

They got to know each other.

• 24:17Brooke Averick?

They got to know each other. Now they're like bonded to my two front teeth. So it looks like there is no space, but really if you're to take that chunk of fake tooth out, my snaggle teeth are back. So I'm at the point in my Invisalign where I have to close those gaps now. So I have to take the bonding out and now my snaggle teeth are going to be back for three months.

• 24:36Connor Wood?

Well, at least you can, like, it's these teeth, so you can smile like this.

• 24:40Brooke Averick?

I'm not going, I'm not leaving the house.

• 24:42Connor Wood?

You can smile like this, though.

• 24:44Brooke Averick?

I'm not leaving the house and when I do, I'm gonna wear, I have to wear the Invisalign because you can't see the snaggle as well when my Invisalign is in. So I feel horrible for the people that made the Reddit thread called Brooke's Mouth Sounds and then had a lot to say about the specific noises that were coming out of my mouth because the Invisalign, but that's gonna have to happen again when, when I get my teeth removed.

• 25:06Connor Wood?

  Ooh.

• 25:06Brooke Averick?

Because I'm not going bare toothed.

• 25:09Connor Wood?

  R slash Brooke's Mouth Noises.

• 25:10Brooke Averick?

R slash Brooke's Mouth Noises are gonna be back in a big way.

• 25:15Connor Wood?

Can I talk about something that's been bugging me?

• 25:17Brooke Averick?

  Is it my mouth noises?

• 25:18Connor Wood?

No, it's about the specific thing that's been happening. And then I've never, it's never been really brought to my attention that it's a mass issue. And it's really not an issue. Everyone can enjoy themselves and enjoy what they enjoy to do. But this smile, specifically on girls, like, I'm just gonna say.

• 25:40Brooke Averick?

  Why? Why specifically on girls?

• 25:42Connor Wood?

I don't know. I don't know. But, and then I saw Ariana Grande doing it. And I saw someone on Twitter be like, why is she doing this smile? This thing?

• 25:53Brooke Averick?

That is it. I have, I have seen her do that.

• 25:56Connor Wood?

  Why are people doing that?

• 25:57Brooke Averick?

It's just a closed mouth smile.

• 25:59Connor Wood?

But it's not though. It's like you're, it's like you're like about to spit water at me.

• 26:04Brooke Averick?

  Like this?

• 26:04Connor Wood?

  Like this.

• 26:08Brooke Averick?

I think that might just be Ariana smile and because it's Ariana, people are doing it because she's Ariana.

• 26:14Connor Wood?

No, no, that's like a closed mouth smile where it's like, but it's like the like pushed together lips like, like she's holding, not even.

• 26:21Brooke Averick?

No, I know what you mean. You're doing it well. I know what you mean. I don't know.

• 26:28Connor Wood?

  I can't, it's, I can't, I'll find it and I'll, I'll show you guys an example.

• 26:32Brooke Averick?

You just did it. Like you really, you did it well. You showed us.

• 26:39Connor Wood?

  Hi.

• 26:40Brooke Averick?

  Hi.

• 26:41Connor Wood?

Oh, anyways, that's been on my mind and you were talking about mouth stuff and I've been, I've.

• 26:46Brooke Averick?

So no one, if I see a Reddit thread about my snaggle teeth, that will be my, that will be my nail in my coffin.

• 26:54Connor Wood?

  What are you gonna do?

• 26:56Brooke Averick?

Put the nail in my coffin.

• 26:58Connor Wood?

Are you gonna get into the coffin?

• 27:00Brooke Averick?

  I'll already be in it.

• 27:01Connor Wood?

  Oh.

• 27:03Brooke Averick?

I'll have, would you mind putting the nail in then?

• 27:05Connor Wood?

Yeah, I can't, you're not gonna be able to do it.

• 27:07Brooke Averick?

Yeah, Lord knows, I'm not gonna be able to do it.

• 27:09Connor Wood?

Do they nail coffins shut? What is that saying about? What's the big idea?

• 27:14Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I think that's like you're fully dead. Like there's no coming out now.

• 27:18Connor Wood?

They don't need to nail it. I'm not gonna be.

• 27:20Brooke Averick?

I think in real life, you wouldn't need to nail it, but in the metaphor, maybe it's like you're done.

• 27:26Connor Wood?

  The nail in your coffin.

• 27:27Brooke Averick?

It's like the end. It's like the straw that break, broke the camel's back almost a little, but not really.

• 27:31Connor Wood?

I don't like the nail in the coffin. That's implying that we're burying you alive.

• 27:35Brooke Averick?

  It is.

• 27:35Connor Wood?

And that you're gonna be a fighter.

• 27:36Brooke Averick?

It is because I guess I'm saying, I'm alive while I'm saying.

• 27:41Brooke Averick?

Expression. I don't know. Let's pass that off to Homer and call it a day.

• 27:47Connor Wood?

Homer, what's, RIP Homer, you would have loved nail in the coffin.

• 27:50Brooke Averick?

  He would have.

• 27:52Connor Wood?

Um, I got a new upstairs neighbor, which is perfect timer.

• 27:58Connor Wood?

  Perfect timing because I'm moving.

• 28:01Brooke Averick?

  You like like them?

• 28:02Connor Wood?

No, I think he's filming, he's filming a new modern edition of Stomp the Yard. He is Stomp City. He's wearing, he must be wearing combat boots.

• 28:13Brooke Averick?

Connor, my neighbors, I think what it is, is I think they set up a bowling league that only meets starting around 12 a.m.

• 28:23Connor Wood?

  I think.

• 28:24Brooke Averick?

Do you have, is there another branch of the league by you?

• 28:26Connor Wood?

We should introduce them to each other and they can make love in a different unit.

• 28:31Brooke Averick?

  In a different unit.

• 28:31Connor Wood?

Because lord knows that they'd be pounding each other through the mattress at 12:01 a.m.

• 28:37Brooke Averick?

I actually don't think that the people above me are pounding.

• 28:42Connor Wood?

No, I'm saying my upstairs neighbor and your upstairs neighbor should make love and make the world's biggest footed baby.

• 28:49Brooke Averick?

They clonk clonkies. I, you know, I, I was writing something the other day and I was writing Bigfoot or something. And then I was like, can you still say Bigfoot? No, Bigfoot's a slur to the Bigfoot community. They prefer Sasquatch.

• 29:09Connor Wood?

  You're lying.

• 29:10Brooke Averick?

Swear on my L. The Bigfoot community. This Bigfoot is derogatory. Sasquatch is preferable.

• 29:19Connor Wood?

  Is preferred.

• 29:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 29:20Connor Wood?

It's so good to know that.

• 29:22Brooke Averick?

  No, it is.

• 29:22Connor Wood?

I just saw yesterday, so when, every Monday, I think at, when I would have a job. Back in the day, um, we had an all hands meeting. We're like every, like all hands on deck, like everyone's in the meeting. We'd go through a big, we touch base, go through goals, whatever. They've now changed at a bunch of companies, all hands to all hearts meeting because to, to be mindful of those who don't have all their hands.

• 29:48Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I get that. You would love the book I'm about to read.

• 29:54Connor Wood?

  What about those without hearts?

• 29:55Brooke Averick?

Wait, Izzy, can you look up the book Out on a Limb? I'm like so excited to read this genuinely.

• 30:02Connor Wood?

  Out on a Limb?

• 30:03Brooke Averick?

  L I M B.

• 30:08Connor Wood?

What is, what about this book? Warm, sexy and vulnerable.

• 30:11Brooke Averick?

You just have to, because it's about, um, I think both of the main characters are like differently abled, and so the main guy doesn't have a leg, but on the cover, he has a robotic leg. And I saw that in Farce Noble, and I said, you're coming home with me.

• 30:27Connor Wood?

  Did you read it?

• 30:28Brooke Averick?

No, I'm about to. I'm so excited for this.

• 30:30Connor Wood?

  Oh, that'll be good.

• 30:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 30:32Connor Wood?

  Wow, it almost looks-

• 30:33Brooke Averick?

If anyone wants to read it with me.

• 30:34Connor Wood?

It's by Hannah Bonham Young. It looks, that almost looks like-

• 30:37Brooke Averick?

  Bowen Yang.

• 30:37Connor Wood?

  Brigham, Brigham Young.

• 30:38Brooke Averick?

Brigham Yang and Bowen Yang had a baby.

• 30:41Connor Wood?

That's like BYU and Bowen Yang had a baby.

• 30:44Brooke Averick?

He's, I really have a crush on him.

• 30:46Connor Wood?

Well, he is a drawing, so. Let's keep in mind.

• 30:52Brooke Averick?

Well, he's about to be more than that.

• 30:54Connor Wood?

  In your brain?

• 30:54Brooke Averick?

He's about to come to life.

• 30:56Connor Wood?

  Wow, that's exciting.

• 30:57Brooke Averick?

That's awesome. That's the awesome thing about literature.

• 31:01Connor Wood?

  I so agree.

• 31:02Brooke Averick?

  Wait, sorry.

• 31:03Connor Wood?

I need to read a book, y'all. Bad. Because I was in Palm Springs this weekend, there was like straight up nothing to do. Like, it was lovely and the weather was great, and like I was breathing air, and I was like, oh, the air quality was bad, because I was breathing and I was like, this tastes good.

• 31:17Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 31:18Connor Wood?

And, um, I was sitting there and I was sitting on a Chase Lounge, one of my favorite things to do, poolside, and I'm sitting there and I was like, wow, a book would really fit well. And I'm tired of my phone. I'm getting the phone ick recently. My eyes are hurting again.

• 31:33Brooke Averick?

  Eyes hurting.

• 31:33Connor Wood?

Much like 2020. And I'm like sitting there and I'm like, I would love to read a book. I could have done it, too.

• 31:40Brooke Averick?

  Here's the thing.

• 31:41Connor Wood?

If these, if these mischievous kids wouldn't have ruined it.

• 31:44Brooke Averick?

  Here's the thing.

• 31:47Brooke Averick?

  Here's the thing.

• 31:48Connor Wood?

  Hit me.

• 31:49Brooke Averick?

I truly believe with every ounce of my being, it's just about finding the right book. Anyone has the potential to become obsessed with reading.

• 31:58Connor Wood?

  Right book, right time.

• 31:59Brooke Averick?

Right book, doesn't even have to be the right time. It's just the right book. You know Patrick?

• 32:03Connor Wood?

  I'm, yeah, I'm familiar.

• 32:05Brooke Averick?

Doesn't read, can't read. We found him. A gay sports romance.

• 32:13Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 32:13Brooke Averick?

He completely devoured it up, left no crops.

• 32:19Connor Wood?

  I'll tell you what.

• 32:20Brooke Averick?

And now he's a reading machine.

• 32:23Connor Wood?

  There is truly nothing-

• 32:26Connor Wood?

There's no interest in the world that just adding a little sprinkle of horniness can't fix.

• 32:33Brooke Averick?

So what can we find for you? What's your interest that we can add a sprinkle of horniness?

• 32:39Connor Wood?

  The thing about me-

• 32:39Brooke Averick?

Cause it does exist, that's the thing.

• 32:41Connor Wood?

The thing about me is like, I don't, I wouldn't read-

• 32:43Brooke Averick?

  You don't have interest?

• 32:44Connor Wood?

  I wouldn't read porn. Like, I'm good.

• 32:46Brooke Averick?

It's not, Connor, that's the thing, there's different levels. Like, I don't really like smut either. It's about like, building the romantic tension. It's about the tension that I think is really what-

• 32:57Connor Wood?

The tension on the page is.

• 32:59Brooke Averick?

What is drawing me in, and I think might draw you in as well as, as well as many others.

• 33:04Connor Wood?

  Wow, okay.

• 33:04Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So what can we find for you?

• 33:07Connor Wood?

You know what's weird, and this is gonna be crazy, but I've, I've, I have this like, random re-up, and my interest in these like, modern renditions of like, World War II,

• 33:22Connor Wood?

stories, like movies and stuff, like, Inglourious Basterds I watched recently, really good. There's a new one that just came out that I was talking about on here, that had that one dude that plays Superman in it, and I had no idea it was him.

• 33:33Brooke Averick?

  David Cornswat?

• 33:34Connor Wood?

  No.

• 33:35Brooke Averick?

Oh, uh, the old, uh, oh, Christopher Reeves?

• 33:39Connor Wood?

No, not, not OG Superman, sorry, Big Buff.

• 33:41Brooke Averick?

  Oh, Henry Cavill?

• 33:42Connor Wood?

Henry Cavill. And he's in it, and it's so good. All of those kind of-

• 33:47Brooke Averick?

Then let's get you a World War II book.

• 33:48Connor Wood?

I know, a World War II book, that's like a little snarky.

• 33:51Brooke Averick?

Do you want, like, what side of World War II? Like, in, like, the Holocaust?

• 33:56Connor Wood?

I don't wanna be on the Nazi side.

• 33:58Brooke Averick?

Well, I was gonna ask, like, what, yeah, okay.

• 34:01Connor Wood?

  Like, that goes without saying.

• 34:04Brooke Averick?

I mean, like, some people would like to, like, experience what went on, on that tide, and read a book about it. Not necessarily take part in it.

• 34:13Connor Wood?

Yeah, no, I mean, I, like a personal-

• 34:19Connor Wood?

  Like diary, I don't know.

• 34:20Brooke Averick?

Maybe you should read Anne Frank's diary.

• 34:23Connor Wood?

Maybe I could read Anne Frank's diary.

• 34:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 34:25Connor Wood?

No, I did read Anne Frank's diary. I went to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

• 34:28Brooke Averick?

  I really wanna go.

• 34:30Connor Wood?

  It was very cool.

• 34:31Brooke Averick?

  Don't make me too upset.

• 34:33Connor Wood?

It was very cool to go. I love Amsterdam. I told you, I don't know if I told it on here, I used to go to Amsterdam a lot. Um, one of my clients, uh, worked out there.

• 34:42Brooke Averick?

  Are you being serious?

• 34:43Connor Wood?

Uh, yeah, I used to go to Amsterdam a lot. So I was entertaining one of my clients who lives out there. And...

• 34:50Brooke Averick?

  Are you actually serious?

• 34:51Connor Wood?

  I, no, I didn't. I've never had a client.

• 34:54Brooke Averick?

Okay, I didn't. You did work a real job.

• 34:57Connor Wood?

Yeah, but I never had a client.

• 34:58Brooke Averick?

  So who was the client?

• 34:59Connor Wood?

Uh, my, my dad, that was one of his trips that he would do. So I went to Amsterdam a lot. It's so beautiful.

• 35:05Brooke Averick?

  I've never been.

• 35:06Connor Wood?

Oh, wow. You would love it. It's so read a book vibes.

• 35:09Brooke Averick?

It's so read a book vibes.

• 35:10Connor Wood?

There was someone that, uh, like, had a coffee shop on my street and I would, I would go to the same coffee shop every single time. Like, the first or second time, I went to this coffee shop, we had a longstanding relationship, me and this barista. And I went to like take my coffee to go and he's like, we don't have to go cups. And I was like, oh, he's like, just sit and drink your coffee. Enjoy your coffee. And I was like, oh.

• 35:35Brooke Averick?

You might like a barista romance. That's one of your hobbies, coffee shops.

• 35:40Connor Wood?

  No, because I don't...

• 35:41Brooke Averick?

What about a barista murder mystery?

• 35:44Connor Wood?

Yeah, maybe I would like that. Whoa, wait, hang on, I need to, speaking of that, I was like, oh, wow, like, sit and enjoy your coffee. That was like, the fact that I'm telling you this and that happened when I was like, in my Jay Alvarez travel phase, really stuck with me. Um, but I was like, I would love to read a book right here, instead of sit on my phone. That's so... Sitting on your phone when you're at a coffee shop or by a pool is like vaping instead of smoking a cigarette. Reading a book is so smoking a cigarette and being on your phone is so vaping, you know?

• 36:17Brooke Averick?

When I was eating lunch with Andrew Garfield.

• 36:19Connor Wood?

  So cool.

• 36:19Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 36:20Connor Wood?

Vaping, it's like, are you 11?

• 36:23Brooke Averick?

When I was eating lunch with Andrew Garfield the other day, there was a girl just sitting there reading a book, like, out to lunch, and she was alone, and I was completely compelled beyond belief.

• 36:34Connor Wood?

  Hmm.

• 36:35Brooke Averick?

How great to just be like, I'm gonna go to lunch by myself and bring a book.

• 36:38Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 36:38Brooke Averick?

I think I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna go to a bar, like a happy hour type of bar. Horrible, does that really pick me?

• 36:45Connor Wood?

  So, like, beyond pick me?

• 36:48Brooke Averick?

  I kinda want to though.

• 36:49Connor Wood?

You should, that's like, that's like, the same energy.

• 36:54Brooke Averick?

It is pick me, but I'm picking me right now.

• 36:57Connor Wood?

  Okay, I mean, do-

• 36:58Brooke Averick?

  I'm picking myself.

• 36:58Connor Wood?

Do you, if I saw that, I'd be like, we should spitball at her.

• 37:02Brooke Averick?

No, you know what, it would be pick me if I was reading, like, Twelfth Night.

• 37:05Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:06Brooke Averick?

I'll bring Out on a Limb.

• 37:08Connor Wood?

Yeah, that was like when Grimes broke up with Elon Musk and she was walking around with, like, the Communist Manifesto.

• 37:13Brooke Averick?

I'm not doing that, I'm doing more of, like,

• 37:18Brooke Averick?

  romance.

• 37:21Connor Wood?

  That's like-

• 37:22Brooke Averick?

  In less Homer.

• 37:22Connor Wood?

  It's like-

• 37:23Brooke Averick?

You think reading romance at a bar alone is worse?

• 37:27Connor Wood?

  I think it's very, um, Me Cute-esque.

• 37:31Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 37:32Connor Wood?

But I think that you might not like what you find.

• 37:37Brooke Averick?

  Something's gotta give.

• 37:38Connor Wood?

  Something's gotta give, great movie.

• 37:39Brooke Averick?

Sorry, is a Mandy Moore in that? With Diane Keaton?

• 37:42Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 37:44Connor Wood?

Mandy, Minket Tech? Minket Talk, Minket TikTok? Um, I watched a movie, I watched Blink Twice. Did you watch Blink Twice?

• 37:54Brooke Averick?

  Blink Twice, what is that?

• 37:55Connor Wood?

  It's an A24, wait, no, it's not A24. It's directed by, um-

• 38:00Brooke Averick?

  Was that your stomach?

• 38:01Connor Wood?

Yeah, it's really going ham over here. It's really wanting some ham over here.

• 38:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:06Connor Wood?

  Ham wouldn't be nice.

• 38:10Connor Wood?

Yeah, it's directed by, what's her freaking name? Zo- Zoe Kravitz. When she was dating Channing Tatum.

• 38:17Brooke Averick?

Oh my god, I loved Blink Twice.

• 38:19Connor Wood?

Okay, I had, I thought it was going to be the most cliche, like, uh, it's like a funny cast, like, it's gonna be so-

• 38:25Brooke Averick?

  Totally get out vibe.

• 38:26Connor Wood?

  Holy-

• 38:26Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 38:27Connor Wood?

Moly, like, I don't even wanna give it away for anyone. That was so dark.

• 38:31Brooke Averick?

I spoke about this in length on this very podcast.

• 38:34Connor Wood?

  Wow, I not remember.

• 38:35Brooke Averick?

  I don't either, but I know I did it.

• 38:37Connor Wood?

  I don't- I don't know, wow.

• 38:41Brooke Averick?

  Wow, right?

• 38:42Connor Wood?

Wow. No, but at the end, I was like, this is gonna, they're gonna flash A24 on the credits? No, just Zoe Kravitz. Who is so A24? Zoe Kravitz is so A24.

• 38:52Brooke Averick?

Um, but yeah, it was very get out vibes, Jordan Peele vibe, I loved it.

• 38:56Connor Wood?

  Bizarre.

• 38:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Did you enjoy it?

• 39:00Connor Wood?

Well, I wasn't really enjoying it, cuz I thought it was like, I thought it was literally like, um, like, the holiday, you know, I thought it was, that's what I thought it was gonna be.

• 39:10Brooke Averick?

  Like a romantic trip?

• 39:12Connor Wood?

Like, yeah, like, like a rom-com meet cute.

• 39:15Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 39:16Connor Wood?

And then the first flashback happened and I was like-

• 39:19Brooke Averick?

I think you should eat something.

• 39:21Connor Wood?

This is like, this is like a level of- This is like a level of, like, stomach grumbling that I've never experienced to date.

• 39:30Brooke Averick?

I also, I don't think I've ever heard someone's stomach yearning that loud.

• 39:35Connor Wood?

  Yearning.

• 39:36Brooke Averick?

  Yearning for something.

• 39:37Connor Wood?

Oh my gosh, it's gonna be okay. This is nothing you haven't experienced before.

• 39:44Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:44Connor Wood?

And it's simply, oh, it's sim- I had a banana. Francis Coppola, how do you say his last name? Did I say it right, Coppola? Like, was he doing like, Ask Me Anything on Instagram, he's eighty-

• 39:56Brooke Averick?

I saw that, I saw that.

• 39:57Connor Wood?

Eighty-seven years old, doing an AS- an AMA on Instagram stories, and someone was like, what do you eat in a day? Love your family, by the way. He was like, half a banana, or three quarters of a banana, a black coffee, um, and half a cup of Chobani. And someone was like, why three fourths of banana? He was like, a full-

• 40:18Connor Wood?

  A full ba-

• 40:20Brooke Averick?

Is it picking up on the mic?

• 40:21Connor Wood?

Three fourths of a banana is perfect, and a full banana is too many calories. And someone was like, Francis Coppola, Francis Coppola comes out-

• 40:40Brooke Averick?

  I'm sorry, that's, I don't know why that's making me laugh.

• 40:42Connor Wood?

  Bro chill out, it's embarrassing.

• 40:44Brooke Averick?

It's funny because you can't control it.

• 40:46Connor Wood?

No, it's, it literally is like having like a, like a toddler with me going mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, shut up bitch, we're gonna eat later.

• 41:00Connor Wood?

Oh heavens, oh heavens to Betsy.

• 41:04Connor Wood?

When Francis Coppola comes out as anorexic at 87. Oh my gosh, that's such a, that's such like a high fashion model breakfast, three fourths banana and so specific.

• 41:14Brooke Averick?

Yeah, you know what tweets have been cracking me up?

• 41:17Connor Wood?

  Which?

• 41:19Brooke Averick?

Do people still call, what does Elon want you to call the?

• 41:22Connor Wood?

  Posts.

• 41:22Brooke Averick?

  Posts?

• 41:23Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 41:23Brooke Averick?

Okay. You know what tweets have been cracking me up are the ones about that movie of the musician that made himself a chimp?

• 41:32Connor Wood?

  So funny.

• 41:33Brooke Averick?

I can't even tell you his name because no one knows who he is, but it flopped so bad that all the tweets are basically just like, no one knows who this person is, like what were you, no one knows who this person that decided to portray himself as a chimp is?

• 41:46Connor Wood?

Wait, do you know why he portrays himself as?

• 41:49Brooke Averick?

  Cause that's how he feels.

• 41:50Connor Wood?

As a chimp? No, because he said that people have more empathy for chimps than other people.

• 41:56Brooke Averick?

I don't know who that person is.

• 41:58Connor Wood?

No, he's not, he's not any, he's not a historical figure.

• 42:01Brooke Averick?

  He's a musician, he's a musician.

• 42:03Connor Wood?

Was he, is it based off of a real?

• 42:05Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 42:05Connor Wood?

  It's a biopic?

• 42:06Brooke Averick?

  It's a biopic Connor.

• 42:08Connor Wood?

  A biopic?

• 42:09Brooke Averick?

  It's a biopic Connor.

• 42:10Connor Wood?

  About Robbie Williams?

• 42:11Brooke Averick?

  About Robbie Williams.

• 42:12Connor Wood?

  Who is?

• 42:13Brooke Averick?

But no one knows who Robbie Williams is, so obviously it tanked like beyond belief.

• 42:18Connor Wood?

It didn't even make a million dollars.

• 42:20Brooke Averick?

And all of the tweets are cracking me up of just like, we don't know who he is. Okay, let me read this to you, it's hysterical.

• 42:27Connor Wood?

Can we go to that first question?

• 42:29Brooke Averick?

The Robbie Williams biopic Better Man isn't exactly going bananas with a puny 580,000 opening day.

• 42:36Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 42:36Brooke Averick?

Paramount acquired the feature for North American distribution, distribution for 25 million and someone quoted it and was just like, what part of we don't know who the fuck this is are y'all not getting? It's just cracking me up, but I feel a little bad.

• 42:48Connor Wood?

You know what tweet has been cracking me up in the same vein?

• 42:52Connor Wood?

Katy Perry donating all of her new album sales to the LA

• 42:55Brooke Averick?

  30% SD.

• 42:57Connor Wood?

To the LA wildfires and people are like, what is the LA wildfires gonna do with $8?

• 43:01Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that's good too.

• 43:03Connor Wood?

  It's so mean.

• 43:03Brooke Averick?

  It's really mean.

• 44:14Connor Wood?

Oh, we have to talk about TikTok getting banned because it's happening on, by the time this comes out, like, it will be, we'll be posting our final clips on TikTok because it's gone on

• 44:23Brooke Averick?

  Are we sure?

• 44:24Connor Wood?

  It's gone on Sunday.

• 44:26Brooke Averick?

  But someone filed something.

• 44:28Connor Wood?

No, they've already said they're, they're done being interested in selling it to a US entity.

• 44:33Brooke Averick?

  I still don't think so.

• 44:35Connor Wood?

Well, Mr. Beast was like, I'll buy it. And he has enough money, I think. And a bunch of billionaires, I guess, reach out to him. They were like, we'll help you buy it. No, they said, I just saw it this morning. They were like, we're not interested in selling it to a US entity.

• 44:46Brooke Averick?

I really am telling you. It will exist. Also, even if it does get taken away, it will still be on our phones for us to have it to hold. It's not going off of our phones. We just won't be able to, we just won't be able to update it.

• 44:58Connor Wood?

  It's inaccessible.

• 44:59Brooke Averick?

No, we'll be able to use it.

• 45:01Connor Wood?

I just looked it up this morning.

• 45:02Brooke Averick?

  I did too.

• 45:03Connor Wood?

  It will be inaccessible?

• 45:04Brooke Averick?

  It will be inaccessible.

• 45:05Connor Wood?

Without a VPN and I guess apparently if you use a VPN, it's like punishable by law. I do not like the beat.

• 45:14Brooke Averick?

  No one likes the beat.

• 45:16Connor Wood?

  I need to know.

• 45:17Brooke Averick?

But I really am almost positive you can still scroll.

• 45:20Connor Wood?

I need to, I need to know. Well, it's really weird as like a, as like an influencer or something like, if they find out you're using it and you're so clear, like, hey, I was at the farmer's market today in Brentwood. They're gonna be like, you're using it in the United States, that's punishable, like,

• 45:34Connor Wood?

what are the punishments? Maybe I'll pay a fine to keep posting, cause I downloaded Red Note,

• 45:40Connor Wood?

which is the Chinese app equivalent. And it's like, hey, we're gonna use your data more, that's like, am I giving more data to China? But then again, it's like, what, you're gonna give me a more targeted ad? I love my ads. Here's more. Here's more of my data. What I'm worried about is when this, whatever they're gonna do with the data, like, is it gonna be like,

• 46:03Connor Wood?

the end of the world? Like, cause they'll own our data? What can they do with that?

• 46:07Brooke Averick?

  I don't, I, I don't know. I really don't.

• 46:10Connor Wood?

If it's just to sell us stuff, like, great, I love buying stuff.

• 46:13Brooke Averick?

I agree, but I think it's probably more sinister.

• 46:16Connor Wood?

More sinister that like, they're gonna be like, oh, we know his, his, he, we have, they have access to all my photos. I allowed them full access to my albums. Cannot figure out how to post. I've been having to screenshot and then go over to Google Translate on the image and copy and paste things over and it's like, still kind of not completely transcribed to English. And it's like, username, no. And I'm like, okay, does that mean I have to change my username? What are you talking about? But I guess it's been, people are having fun on Red Note.

• 46:48Brooke Averick?

I've never heard of Red Note.

• 46:49Connor Wood?

  Really?

• 46:49Brooke Averick?

  Yeah. Really?

• 46:51Connor Wood?

I'm getting, I'm full blown on the app. If you wanna follow me, I don't really understand what my username is. I think it's fibula with two As. But they told me username, no, this morning. So I don't know. If that's going to come up.

• 47:03Brooke Averick?

  They told you now?

• 47:04Connor Wood?

It just said, it was like in Chinese Mandarin, which by the way is the most widely used language in the world, apparently.

• 47:11Brooke Averick?

  Yes.

• 47:12Connor Wood?

So I'm interested in learning Mandarin because it seems like maybe that's the future. Cause this app is the future and we're gonna be learning Chinese, we're gonna be being exposed to more Chinese culture. I am excited personally.

• 47:22Brooke Averick?

I feel like there's more to Chinese culture than Red Note.

• 47:25Connor Wood?

Well, they're, they're like, we're posting stuff like-

• 47:28Brooke Averick?

  Have you been to China?

• 47:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 47:30Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, you have.

• 47:31Connor Wood?

Shotgun beers and they're like, why are they drinking beer like that? And they're like, it's, it's common to do, to drink beer like this before a football game. Shotgun beers. And they're like, oh, interesting. But everyone's being so friendly and nice. And they're joking around, like the Chinese people on Red Note are being like, we're gonna steal your data. It's like funny.

• 47:49Brooke Averick?

  Interesting. Okay.

• 47:50Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 47:51Brooke Averick?

I do think that if TikTok does disappear, I won't be downloading another app.

• 47:57Connor Wood?

I just don't want to be like a late-

• 48:01Brooke Averick?

I guess I might have to though for my job.

• 48:03Connor Wood?

Yeah. I don't know if you can get a brand deal on Red Note. Like I don't know what the, like if they can do sponsored posts. I'm sure a lot of people are like, finally I'm free of the sponsored posts. But I am worried about paying rent. However, um, I'm just curious if people are going to, like if they're gonna fix the reels algorithm and it's gonna be like-

• 48:23Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 48:24Connor Wood?

A cultural thing as much. Like, I don't know if, I don't know if someone's gonna like, like Benson Boone, like, like a musical artist that's like taking over the world. I don't know if, like someone like that can just-

• 48:34Brooke Averick?

You think Benson Boone's taking over the world?

• 48:36Connor Wood?

Yeah. Like full-blown at every music festival. He's one of the talent, the most talented singer-songwriter performers that I've genuinely seen.

• 48:44Brooke Averick?

Cause he sang besides that, huh? You know the one?

• 48:48Connor Wood?

Yeah. Beautiful things. Um, there's others for sure.

• 48:53Brooke Averick?

  What are they?

• 48:53Connor Wood?

It's the only one I know, too.

• 48:54Brooke Averick?

Well, for someone taking over the world.

• 48:56Connor Wood?

I mean, I'm just seeing how much he's touring. He's gone on world tour.

• 49:00Brooke Averick?

  You should open for him.

• 49:01Connor Wood?

Hey, everybody. What the hell's up with Benson Boon?

• 49:04Brooke Averick?

That's actually a really good idea to have a comedian open for a headlining performer.

• 49:10Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 49:10Brooke Averick?

Like so. You should perform at Coachella.

• 49:14Connor Wood?

I would love that. I, I kind of low-key performed at Outside Lands.

• 49:18Brooke Averick?

I remember that. Yeah, you did.

• 49:20Connor Wood?

I didn't do anything. I just moderated Hank Cooking-

• 49:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 49:23Connor Wood?

  At Outside Lands.

• 49:24Brooke Averick?

Do you wanna go to Coachella this year?

• 49:26Connor Wood?

I want to. I don't know if the tour will allow me. I definitely can't go to Stagecoach, which is making me-

• 49:30Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 49:32Connor Wood?

  Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.

• 49:34Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I really wanna go to Coachella. A lot of people don't know how much I love Green Day.

• 49:40Connor Wood?

I had no idea. You're looking kinda Green Day today.

• 49:42Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 49:43Connor Wood?

  In your striped sweater.

• 49:44Brooke Averick?

Are you familiar with American Idiot the Musical?

• 49:47Connor Wood?

  No.

• 49:48Brooke Averick?

There's a musical, kind of like Mamma Mia vibes, that's just the Green Day discography, and they just like turned all of those songs into a story and made it a musical.

• 49:59Connor Wood?

  That's really-

• 50:00Brooke Averick?

And that's why I love Green Day. I only listen to the original Broadway cast, though.

• 50:04Connor Wood?

  That's really cool.

• 50:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 50:06Connor Wood?

I used to think my, my good friend, like, lived across the street from me growing up, his older brother had like a garage band, and they would play only Green Day, 'cause that's the songs that they were learning, and I thought truly they were bit like taking over the world, Benson Boone style. Like, I was like, they wrote Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I walked a lonely road-

• 50:29Brooke Averick?

  Fabulous.

• 50:29Connor Wood?

  And I was like-

• 50:30Brooke Averick?

  Whoa.

• 50:31Connor Wood?

Well, I live across the street from rock stars.

• 50:33Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 50:34Connor Wood?

And I told every, I would hear Green Day on the radio, and I'm like, this is my neighbor's older brother. For years, I was like, they live across the street from me. And everyone, I went to camp for ten years, I was like, they all live, all of them live across the street from me.

• 50:48Brooke Averick?

That's the amazing thing about Green Day. Green Day is something different to everyone. For you, it's your neighbor's older brother, and for me, it's the original Broadway cast of American Idiot.

• 50:59Connor Wood?

  It's like-

• 50:59Brooke Averick?

  And that's fine.

• 51:00Connor Wood?

Green Day showed themselves to you in a way that was most adoptable for you.

• 51:07Brooke Averick?

That's what's so powerful about Green Day. It doesn't matter who's singing. It's the songs.

• 51:13Connor Wood?

Who is singing, by the way? Tom something?

• 51:17Brooke Averick?

  Billy? Jay.

• 51:19Connor Wood?

  Billy?

• 51:20Brooke Averick?

Why do I wanna say Billy Joel?

• 51:21Connor Wood?

  Joel? It's not Billy Joel.

• 51:22Brooke Averick?

I think it's Billy Joel Armstrong.

• 51:25Connor Wood?

  Billy Joel Alstine.

• 51:27Brooke Averick?

  I think it's Armstrong.

• 51:30Connor Wood?

  It's Billy Joe Armstrong.

• 51:31Brooke Averick?

  Billy Joe Armstrong.

• 51:32Connor Wood?

  You were really close.

• 51:32Brooke Averick?

Yeah, what is he up to?

• 51:34Connor Wood?

  He's still touring-

• 51:35Brooke Averick?

Oh my god, he'll be at Coachella.

• 51:37Connor Wood?

They do shows still, yeah, I was gonna say.

• 51:39Brooke Averick?

  I'm obsessed.

• 51:40Connor Wood?

I wish Adele would go to Coachella and do a Coachella.

• 51:42Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that would be incredible.

• 51:44Connor Wood?

That's something that I truly feel, like, that would be, Adele, Adele and I have a really specific relationship that she's not involved in at all, but her music-

• 51:51Brooke Averick?

  Like Wizard and I vibes?

• 51:53Connor Wood?

Like, I listen to Adele, and we, I just- I like, like Girl That's Gonna Be Okay, you know? Like blanket wrapped around me, cup of hot tea.

• 52:02Brooke Averick?

  I do know.

• 52:03Connor Wood?

And I sit there with like the cold morning air brushing against my cheeks. And I'm, and I'm watching and there's steam coming off of like the river. And I'm taking a deep breath saying, yeah.

• 52:14Brooke Averick?

  What's your favorite Adele song?

• 52:18Connor Wood?

I like All Night Parking, which is one that's

• 52:20Brooke Averick?

  Fabulous.

• 52:20Connor Wood?

Yeah. I love that one. But I really like, I like one of the albums, I can't remember which one it is. But it was like pre Hello, I think it was 21.

• 52:30Brooke Averick?

  Mm hmm.

• 52:31Connor Wood?

  Had like the whole thing.

• 52:33Brooke Averick?

  Take It All.

• 52:33Connor Wood?

  Unskippable.

• 52:35Brooke Averick?

  Unskippable.

• 52:35Connor Wood?

  Un, couldn't imagine skipping.

• 52:37Brooke Averick?

No, let's look at, look, let's look at those.

• 52:39Connor Wood?

  It was

• 52:39Brooke Averick?

I think that might be the best album.

• 52:42Connor Wood?

Rolling in the Deep, great. Turning Tables, great. Set Fire to the Rain, obviously. Take It All.

• 52:47Brooke Averick?

Take It All, I think is maybe my favorite.

• 52:48Connor Wood?

  One and only.

• 52:49Brooke Averick?

One and only might be my favorite.

• 52:51Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 52:51Brooke Averick?

One and only might be my favorite.

• 52:52Connor Wood?

Someone like you, rumor has it, don't you

• 52:55Brooke Averick?

Don't You Remember might be my favorite too.

• 52:57Connor Wood?

  He won't go.

• 52:57Brooke Averick?

That, ah, another one of my favorites almost.

• 52:59Connor Wood?

  I'll Be Waiting? Holy shit.

• 53:03Brooke Averick?

  And Love Song.

• 53:04Connor Wood?

And Love Song. I mean, unskippable. Wow.

• 53:07Brooke Averick?

  Wait, what's, what's on 19?

• 53:11Connor Wood?

  Let's look.

• 53:12Brooke Averick?

  Turning Tables.

• 53:13Connor Wood?

We have a computer in our pocket now.

• 53:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, Turning Tables.

• 53:18Brooke Averick?

  Oh my God.

• 53:19Connor Wood?

I don't know this one at all.

• 53:20Brooke Averick?

  Are you serious?

• 53:21Connor Wood?

Chasing Pavements, Ride Is Rain. I love Ride Is Rain. She has Chasing Pavements on there twice. Make You Feel My Love, that's in my top three.

• 53:28Brooke Averick?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Devastating late performance of Make You Feel My Love. Devastating.

• 53:34Connor Wood?

  Damn.

• 53:36Brooke Averick?

Oh, that's it. I quit. I'm moving on. That one's jazzy.

• 53:38Connor Wood?

That one's good. This is just, that's one of those things like, I, I, I do wish I went and saw Era's tour. I do wish I would have seen Sabrina Carpenter live. Trying to think of another one. I will be seeing Justin Bieber live. Mark my damn words.

• 53:51Brooke Averick?

  Mark my damn words.

• 53:51Connor Wood?

I'm just saying it here in the manifestation space. Manifestation space. He's going to go on tour next year. Maybe this, maybe end of this year, next year, but definitely next year. And I will, my, my ass will be stitched to the seat.

• 54:04Brooke Averick?

You know what I can't get out of my head recently?

• 54:06Connor Wood?

  What?

• 54:07Brooke Averick?

Luda, when I was 13, I found my first love.

• 54:12Connor Wood?

There was no one that compared to my baby, no one, something, something, no one could ever come above.

• 54:16Brooke Averick?

Exactly. That's been in my head.

• 54:18Connor Wood?

She got me going crazy. I was starstruck.

• 54:21Brooke Averick?

  She woke me up daily?

• 54:22Connor Wood?

  I don't need no Starbucks.

• 54:24Brooke Averick?

  She make my heart pound.

• 54:26Connor Wood?

Skip a beat when I see her in the street and.

• 54:27Brooke Averick?

  It's cool on the playground.

• 54:30Connor Wood?

But I really want to meet her in the sheets, right?

• 54:31Brooke Averick?

No, see her in the week?

• 54:34Connor Wood?

  See her in the weekend.

• 54:35Brooke Averick?

  And?

• 54:37Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I think so. Did we do our predictions last week or just our ins and outs?

• 54:43Connor Wood?

I, all I said was Queen and Leifah comeback. Yeah. They went by really quickly because you had two, I had one.

• 54:49Brooke Averick?

Oh, I know. Mine was Justin Baldoni and who make a podcast?

• 54:53Connor Wood?

  Armie Hammer.

• 54:54Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I still think that.

• 54:56Connor Wood?

  A and J make a P?

• 54:58Brooke Averick?

I think, I think that A and J are about to make a P. What was my other prediction? Oh, Glee, ugly type of show.

• 55:05Connor Wood?

  Um.

• 55:08Connor Wood?

My goal this year is when I move, obviously when I like make my bedroom livable, you know, not have my laundry chair, which by the way, I did my laundry chair. I don't know if anyone's been keeping up with that.

• 55:22Brooke Averick?

Such a fine line between a laundry chair and a cuck chair.

• 55:26Connor Wood?

Well, no one can cuck for you if you have a pile of clean laundry.

• 55:29Brooke Averick?

  You'd be surprised.

• 55:30Connor Wood?

You think someone's gonna get into your, well, that would be lovely. That might be lovely to be covered in.

• 55:35Brooke Averick?

  Might be lovely.

• 55:35Connor Wood?

And clean, warm laundry and be doing whatever you're doing below the surface.

• 55:38Brooke Averick?

  It might be lovely.

• 55:40Connor Wood?

Wow, maybe something to think about.

• 55:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 55:43Connor Wood?

Someone that has a kink for like, for like diva wash and their wife getting railed.

• 55:49Brooke Averick?

I bet there's like a big overlap in the two communities.

• 55:52Connor Wood?

  Clean laundry.

• 55:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 55:54Connor Wood?

Um, I was just gonna say, I think one of the worst parts of every single day of my life is finding two pairs, like a pair of socks that match. And I really, if I start my day with two unmatching socks, I do think about how they don't know each other.

• 56:06Brooke Averick?

Do you know who wears mismatched socks every single day of his life?

• 56:10Connor Wood?

  Who?

• 56:13Connor Wood?

  Oh, Matthew Gray, goob.

• 56:14Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 56:15Connor Wood?

  That's not surprising.

• 56:15Brooke Averick?

He's never worn a pair of matching socks.

• 56:17Connor Wood?

I don't have that in me. Like, I really think about, like, I'm like, they've never met. They don't know each other. I don't know when the last, they weren't washed together, probably, but I don't have a pair of matching socks anymore. These are branded. These are from a brand.

• 56:31Brooke Averick?

  Is that fine?

• 56:33Connor Wood?

I don't, I want to wear white, clean socks. Like, I want to wear them and I want them to match.

• 56:38Brooke Averick?

  Buy a new.

• 56:40Connor Wood?

I don't, my drawers just absolutely, my cup is overfilled with socks.

• 56:43Brooke Averick?

Sometimes you literally need to just bite the bullet and get rid of the socks that don't have a buddy. It's devastating and it's sad. And someone should write a book about where all of the lost one solo socks go.

• 56:55Connor Wood?

  I think they have.

• 56:55Brooke Averick?

Great children's book, by the way. But it has to be done.

• 56:59Connor Wood?

  I agree.

• 57:02Connor Wood?

So. That's what I'm looking forward to. That's gonna be one of my biggest goals when I move is overhaul on my sock and underwear drawer. And just like, every time I wear a pair of socks, putting them back together. If they're clean enough to wear, put them here. If they're not clean enough, I'm just doing a load of socks. And I'll keep my socks together.

• 57:24Brooke Averick?

And my brain's really taking that idea of the sock children's book and running with it. Like, imagine a story about where the one sock that goes missing in the laundry, like, gets sucked to another world.

• 57:34Connor Wood?

I think that's literally a premise of a book that exists. Because Inside the Washing Machine is like.

• 57:40Brooke Averick?

No, are you thinking of Gregor the Overlander?

• 57:42Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 57:44Brooke Averick?

  Did you ever read those?

• 57:45Connor Wood?

  I don't.

• 57:45Brooke Averick?

They were Suzanne Collins's first books before The Hunger Games. They were like, middle grade. And I think maybe Gregor got sucked into the laundry machine and that's how he went to the underworld. But what if we made that socks?

• 57:57Connor Wood?

What if we made it socks, you guys? No, like, what if we broke out of our shells that we've been put in because

• 58:04Connor Wood?

of politics that have put us into this box? And what if we just made it socks?

• 58:08Brooke Averick?

What if we made it socks?

• 58:10Connor Wood?

What if the socks left the box? And it seems they've grown legs and left the box. What, do you think it just grew legs and walked away? It's the most, that's, that is the most, like.

• 58:22Brooke Averick?

I don't want someone to take my idea.

• 58:25Connor Wood?

  Brooke.

• 58:27Connor Wood?

You have another book to write? Like, why don't you, like, let's focus on-

• 58:30Brooke Averick?

  I have two, and-

• 58:31Connor Wood?

Let's focus on that and not throw so much-

• 58:33Brooke Averick?

Well, I'm saying this could be the second book.

• 58:36Connor Wood?

This is not your second book, right? That focus on, focus on your novellas and let some, let someone take the sock idea.

• 58:43Brooke Averick?

  I don't, no, don't take the sock-

• 58:45Connor Wood?

  Verbal trademark, verbal-

• 58:47Brooke Averick?

Verbal trademark is binding in the state of California, in the county of Los Angeles.

• 58:52Connor Wood?

And any IP created in those podcasts is owned and operated by Lady Afra LLC.

• 58:58Brooke Averick?

I will be writing a book about where do the socks go in the laundry machine-

• 59:01Connor Wood?

  Where did this-

• 59:02Brooke Averick?

To the underworld. And you can illustrate it.

• 59:06Connor Wood?

  I can't.

• 59:07Brooke Averick?

  You're a good drawer.

• 59:08Connor Wood?

No, I'm not. When's the last time I drew some?

• 59:11Brooke Averick?

  You're good.

• 59:13Connor Wood?

  Girl.

• 59:17Connor Wood?

So I haven't found an apartment. I know everyone's been desperately begging me for my updates there. I haven't found one yet.

• 59:25Brooke Averick?

Are you gonna sign a lease on one without seeing it first, do you think?

• 59:29Connor Wood?

  No, I'm going next week.

• 59:30Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 59:30Connor Wood?

I'm going after we record the podcast next week.

• 59:32Brooke Averick?

  For good?

• 59:33Connor Wood?

No, I'm gonna go see, tour some apartments. I have a little bit of work in the city. Heard of it? Have you ever heard of work?

• 59:40Brooke Averick?

The sequel to Sex and the City?

• 59:42Connor Wood?

Yeah, it's where I have no sex when I go to the city and I just go to one event.

• 59:47Brooke Averick?

  What's the event?

• 59:48Connor Wood?

  And I post TikTok.

• 59:48Brooke Averick?

  Can you tell us?

• 59:49Connor Wood?

  It's for Celsius.

• 59:51Brooke Averick?

  Holy.

• 59:51Connor Wood?

I'm gonna go work out with Tyler Cameron.

• 59:53Brooke Averick?

  That's a good one.

• 59:54Connor Wood?

Yeah, and it's gonna be tough because a lot of people aren't gonna be able to tell us apart-

• 59:56Brooke Averick?

Tyler Cameron has seen us in some of our most vulnerable moments.

• 59:59Connor Wood?

  You.

• 1:00:01Brooke Averick?

And now soon to be you, maybe.

• 1:00:02Connor Wood?

I'm not gonna break a sweat working out next to TC. I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be bench pressing one of his thighs.

• 1:00:09Brooke Averick?

I can't believe TC saw me throw up so many times into a bag while I was floating.

• 1:00:17Connor Wood?

I can't believe I'm scared of flying and I went vertical in a Boeing 737.

• 1:00:22Brooke Averick?

That was genuinely so. Imagine being nauseous, puking, and you can't actually even stay seated because the plane, the gravity in the plane is lifting you up in your chair.

• 1:00:35Connor Wood?

I feel like I've never told the fact that this was sponsored by Dr. Pepper, that thing that we did, the anti-gravitron floating weightlessness, zero gravity experience that we did. And like as a joke, I was like, I'm gonna chug three Dr. Peppers. I chugged them. They're like, hey, guys, make sure you don't drink anything carbonated. And I was like, wow, what? And then I got on the plane and they kept having to take me and put like an essential, like essentially a diaper on over my C and

• 1:01:00Brooke Averick?

  You pee in a bag.

• 1:01:00Connor Wood?

  C and B. And I kept having to pee in a B.

• 1:01:03Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:04Connor Wood?

Like genuinely put my thing, my thingy.

• 1:01:09Brooke Averick?

  What thing?

• 1:01:10Connor Wood?

  My thingy.

• 1:01:11Brooke Averick?

  What thing?

• 1:01:12Connor Wood?

  My thingy.

• 1:01:12Brooke Averick?

  What thing?

• 1:01:13Connor Wood?

My pee. Into like a, like a hole.

• 1:01:18Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:19Connor Wood?

In this bag. And then I would just like pee into the sack.

• 1:01:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:01:23Connor Wood?

  Into my magic sack.

• 1:01:25Brooke Averick?

  Out in the open, too.

• 1:01:26Connor Wood?

Yeah, out in the open. It was really something that I'll never do again, but I'm glad that we did it.

• 1:01:33Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I'm obviously glad that we did it. Like, never in one million years would I do it again. Like even maybe to save someone's life.

• 1:01:41Connor Wood?

I think after my event this week, I'll be looking like David Dobrik with my shirt off.

• 1:01:45Brooke Averick?

That, that, AI doesn't even look that much like AI.

• 1:01:50Connor Wood?

  I can't speak on it.

• 1:01:54Brooke Averick?

Okay. Wait, you had so many things that you wanted to say on.

• 1:01:57Connor Wood?

I covered, I covered a lot of them. I covered a lot of them. I was just wanting to say that I, when I was packing out my, my existing suitcases in my 10 by 10 apartment, I lost my wallet again and I have not found it. And I've been traveling around with my passport for days. And I'm just saying like, I'm gonna lose my passport soon. It's a matter of tea. And.

• 1:02:17Connor Wood?

  Scared.

• 1:02:18Brooke Averick?

  Don't try not to.

• 1:02:19Connor Wood?

I ordered a new license online, but it sucks. I really wanted to get my California ID so I could give it to my kids.

• 1:02:25Brooke Averick?

Oh, you never got one? You can have mine.

• 1:02:28Connor Wood?

  The DMV is...

• 1:02:31Connor Wood?

When are we gonna fix the DMV?

• 1:02:32Brooke Averick?

Never. That's just like one of those things that is like, we'll have to say that like because it's such a like uniting human experience. Like, we can't lose that. Like, we all have that.

• 1:02:43Connor Wood?

Did you know that I've, my, my car's not been registered since I think 2021?

• 1:02:48Brooke Averick?

  I do know that.

• 1:02:48Connor Wood?

And I couldn't even get an appointment because it opens every single day at 7 a.m. online to make an appointment. And as soon as you do it, they only book three months out and like someone would get like the next day.

• 1:02:59Brooke Averick?

You need to just show up and wait in line.

• 1:03:01Connor Wood?

  No.

• 1:03:02Brooke Averick?

  That's what I did.

• 1:03:03Connor Wood?

No, like I would need to bring drinks and then they'd be like...

• 1:03:06Brooke Averick?

  Bring drinks?

• 1:03:07Connor Wood?

No, I'm not bringing drinks to the DMV. The DMV needs, should have a bar. I'm doing, I'm doing Dry January.

• 1:03:14Brooke Averick?

  Are you?

• 1:03:15Connor Wood?

Yeah. Only Heineken's Ears for me, babe.

• 1:03:19Brooke Averick?

  Um...

• 1:03:20Connor Wood?

I do like, what I like about Heineken's Ears is I can physically go to any bar still, watch football and still that, like every bar has them. So I can still like smell the aura of the, of the bar. The barra.

• 1:03:32Brooke Averick?

Ooh, you should do a, you should make a, for merch, like a beer-scented bar candle.

• 1:03:38Connor Wood?

It would make your apartment smell like shit, though, like...

• 1:03:40Brooke Averick?

But don't you like the smell of a bar?

• 1:03:41Connor Wood?

I like the smell of a bar. I would not want that in my home. If you've ever had like a party at your house or something and you've woken up in the morning and like you have slippers on or something and they're making that like stick-to-the-ground noise, that's what I don't want in my, I never want...

• 1:03:57Brooke Averick?

  The candle won't do that.

• 1:03:59Connor Wood?

It would just give me that.

• 1:04:00Brooke Averick?

It's all the good parts of the bar and none of the sticky floors.

• 1:04:04Connor Wood?

The good parts of the bar is that it's not at my house. That's what I like about it.

• 1:04:08Brooke Averick?

  Toush.

• 1:04:09Connor Wood?

The toush. I think I left a candle on in my house.

• 1:04:12Brooke Averick?

It's not as bad as you think it is.

• 1:04:13Connor Wood?

I think it is because if I was the new starter of a fire in, on, on, in my historic neighborhood, like I would not want that.

• 1:04:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I do agree.

• 1:04:24Connor Wood?

You know what I was thinking about with the fires the other day, and this is gonna be like not in relation to how serious they are. I was just thinking about because they were started on a hiking trail. Can you imagine like? Now it's like, obviously like, don't smoke a cigarette outside or flick it or anything, but like before that, people smoke weed outside here all the time. Imagine if it was just like a group of twenty-somethings that were smoking a joint, like flick the joint.

• 1:04:47Brooke Averick?

  Still could be.

• 1:04:48Connor Wood?

Didn't even litter, and they're, they're sitting here with us being like, "Yeah, like, who the fuck started those fires?"

• 1:04:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:04:55Connor Wood?

That's fucked up and scary. If you legitimately, accidentally, or like accidentally did that, like, would you go to jail for your whole life? Because it's legal to smoke a joint outside in California if you're-

• 1:05:08Brooke Averick?

  I don't know, that's a really good question.

• 1:05:11Connor Wood?

  Obviously responsibly.

• 1:05:12Brooke Averick?

There's no way that if somebody smoked a joint and one of the embers from the joint started the Palisades fire, like, there's no way that could get tracked back to them. Unless they find the one ember and test it for DNA, which they can't do.

• 1:05:26Connor Wood?

I don't know what they can and can't do, but what if, what if they're able to trace it back to someone with like narcolepsy? And say this person like didn't even know that they had narcolepsy, okay? So like, it's like a new thing-

• 1:05:36Brooke Averick?

  How do you not know?

• 1:05:37Connor Wood?

Okay, someone had a stroke. They've never had a stroke before, and they're like, maybe smoking a cigarette, not illegal, and they're like, have a stroke, pass out, whatever. The cigarette just kinda just rolls down the street, starts a brush fire, starts a trash fire, whatever, and causes fifty billion dollars in damages? Can they be held responsible for like manslaughter and, and property damages? That would be like-

• 1:05:58Brooke Averick?

  I don't know that.

• 1:05:59Connor Wood?

A very severe act of God. It wouldn't be called a natural disaster. They're already looking into like Khan Edison, which is like, who provides the power for all of our apartments and houses in California, basically. They said like that, it was probably one of their power lines.

• 1:06:15Brooke Averick?

Speaking of things we don't know, something to end on really quickly. You know how last week we were talking like really in-depth about medication and how Motrin doesn't work and Advil really works? Had no fucking idea they were both ibuprofen.

• 1:06:30Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:30Brooke Averick?

  Did you?

• 1:06:31Connor Wood?

Well, a lot of medical professionals were able to make-

• 1:06:33Brooke Averick?

Obviously they were able to let us know beautifully.

• 1:06:35Connor Wood?

  Make that known.

• 1:06:36Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I am shocked. What's the difference then? And why does Motrin not work?

• 1:06:42Connor Wood?

It's not our business to know the difference between those two.

• 1:06:47Brooke Averick?

  It's a cute name for a cat.

• 1:06:48Connor Wood?

  Motrin?

• 1:06:49Brooke Averick?

  Advil.

• 1:06:50Connor Wood?

  That is cute.

• 1:06:51Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:52Connor Wood?

One of my friend's dog is named, um, one of them, he has two shih-tzus, Andrew, Mishan. They're named, uh, Spanish and Bluetooth.

• 1:07:01Brooke Averick?

Bluetooth. That's to die. Is it first name Blue, middle name Tooth?

• 1:07:06Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 1:07:07Brooke Averick?

I'm actually obsessed with the idea of getting another cat and naming it Advil.

• 1:07:12Connor Wood?

  Advil and Motrin?

• 1:07:13Brooke Averick?

Hi, this is John and Advil.

• 1:07:14Connor Wood?

John and Advil, that's cute. Cause you can call it Addie.

• 1:07:17Brooke Averick?

  Stop.

• 1:07:18Connor Wood?

  No.

• 1:07:20Brooke Averick?

Addison Rae. Yeah, cause I called John like,

• 1:07:26Brooke Averick?

  John Hancock.

• 1:07:27Connor Wood?

  John Ham.

• 1:07:28Brooke Averick?

Johnson's Marie mostly, John Ham. Um,

• 1:07:34Brooke Averick?

  John, uh, Luther King Jewfer.

• 1:07:39Connor Wood?

Oh, I got, I got tattoos last week.

• 1:07:41Brooke Averick?

Oh my God, show us, show us, show us. Wait, should we go to the bonus for that?

• 1:07:44Connor Wood?

I'll show you in the bonus. It's really nothing to write home about. I was just walking. I found a new coffee shop slash bodega, of course, right when I'm moving out. And this is what I used to pray for. It has a deli with some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It has one of those big, old, nice ass silver, like chrome coffee machines. Their coffee is so dank. And then I'm sitting there having my coffee where all the ashes filled it up and ruined it. Um, and they sell like, like, everything, onions, pasta, like all that, the last.

• 1:08:12Brooke Averick?

  They sell onions and pasta?

• 1:08:13Connor Wood?

Yeah, like, you know, like the last ingredient that you need. And you're like, oh my gosh, the grocery stores are like so far away. I don't want to get in my car.

• 1:08:20Brooke Averick?

Like a clove, like garlic or something?

• 1:08:21Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:22Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:22Connor Wood?

Yeah. They have cloves of garlic and they also have this big old, the coffee's so good. So I'm sitting there and I looked in my life and there's a tattoo shop, a tattoo. And I was like,

• 1:08:34Connor Wood?

fuck it. Everywhere I live and every period of my life, I get a tattoo. This one I.

• 1:08:39Brooke Averick?

  I love your tattoo.

• 1:08:40Connor Wood?

I looked at it and I was like, okay, I'm literally yadded to the gods. Like I need to chill. Because now it's turning into like low key patchwork. And I want to like leave it be for a minute.

• 1:08:51Brooke Averick?

People were really mad at me about my patchwork take.

• 1:08:54Connor Wood?

  I saw that.

• 1:08:55Brooke Averick?

  But I also have them.

• 1:08:58Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:08:59Brooke Averick?

  It's fine.

• 1:09:01Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:09:02Brooke Averick?

They can still be cute and out.

• 1:09:05Connor Wood?

Yeah, they could be. That's called timeless.

• 1:09:07Brooke Averick?

  It's called timeless.

• 1:09:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah, look it up.

• 1:09:09Brooke Averick?

Okay, let's go because I'm about to start peeing out of my mouth. It's coming up.

• 1:09:12Connor Wood?

I'm hungry. Like, I'm about to eat this basket of knickknacks.

• 1:09:15Brooke Averick?

Okay. Love you all. Stay safe if you're in LA.

• 1:09:20Connor Wood?

Or other places that are dangerous.

• 1:09:23Brooke Averick?

But LA especially. And check our bio for any resources.

• 1:09:29Connor Wood?

You'll see several links in our bio.

• 1:09:30Brooke Averick?

Thank you. See you in the bonus.

• 1:09:32Connor Wood?

  Bye, guys.

• 1:09:34Brooke Averick?

  This week on Close Friends.

• 1:09:36Connor Wood?

When you get your tonsils out, do you get to keep them, like, in a jar? I'm assuming no, because no one even will make eye contact with me after I ask that. Roll off the tongue to make my mouth feel good. Oh, my gosh, where's my cock ring?

• 1:09:48Brooke Averick?

Do you mind if I wipe my nose on the mic?

• 1:09:51Connor Wood?

You're a nasty girl. We would love all the entire audience to stand up, please, as we praise God. Sign up on TMGstudios.tv to watch a full bonus episode.
