I use Ketone IQ when I need to stay sharp for the long haul. Long runs, lifting, before I shoot my bow, even when I'm podcasting, anytime I want steady focus without crashing. What I like about it is how it feels. It helps me stay locked in during long efforts and mentally demanding sessions. Not jittery, not wired, just clear and steady. Ketones are your brain's preferred fuel source. So instead of that spiked caffeine feeling, the focus feels calm and controlled. It lets me push without leaning on caffeine or sugar. I'm not chasing another cup of coffee or something sweet just to get through a workout or a long day.

• 0:43Cameron Hanes?

I can train, work, and think without that roller coaster of energy. Physically, I feel ready to go. Mentally, I'm locked in. That combination matters when you're putting in long hours and real work. Visit ketone.com backslash cam for 30% off your subscription order, plus receive a free gift with your second shipment. Or find Ketone IQ at Target stores nationwide in the hydration and protein aisle and get your first shot free. This episode is brought to you by Alp nicotine pouches. Every step I take, I move my truth. Every time they tell me stop, I use it. Every comment, hate that makes my feel, gather up my energy and boom. I hear them talking, saying the way that I move is so reckless. That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with, giving my blood, so I am relentless.

• 2:23Cameron Hanes?

This is the Keep Cremer Collective 30 fucking 30 dude, that's a huge milestone.

• 2:30Speaker 02

  That's like half century.

• 2:33Cameron Hanes?

I mean, isn't century is like 10. So it's like three centuries, isn't it?

• 2:38Speaker 02

So three centuries of shit talkers.

• 2:43Cameron Hanes?

And I got all the stimuli. I got coffee. I got a ketone. So wait, let me get smart real quick.

• 2:52Speaker 02

Stand by. Not any kind of coffee. Black rifle.

• 2:56Cameron Hanes?

Oh yeah, of course. Black rifle coffee. This is, is this whole fucking thing gonna be an ad? Hmm.

• 3:04Speaker 02

  I better take mine too.

• 3:09Cameron Hanes?

Man, I'm firing at all cylinders. You know what else we might do?

• 3:17Cameron Hanes?

  Fucking lip pillow.

• 3:18Speaker 02

Ooh, a little upper decky. Let me have one of those.

• 3:22Cameron Hanes?

Thanks, Alp. You can have one because it's yours. And they're the fucking, they're stout too.

• 3:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 3:29Cameron Hanes?

Three? Oh, is that the key? You gotta break them up?

• 3:32Speaker 02

I like to chew them a little bit. It, uh, the smaller they are in my lip, it reminds me more of my uncle's dick.

• 3:42Speaker 02

  Gives me a familiar sensation.

• 3:45Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So your mouth would burn?

• 3:46Speaker 02

  Yeah. Pattern familiars.

• 3:48Cameron Hanes?

Nice. I like it. Well, man, now we're freaking dialed.

• 3:52Speaker 02

I'm ready to go now for number three zero.

• 3:55Cameron Hanes?

Thanks, Black Rifle Coffee. Thanks, Ketone IQ. Thanks, Lip Pillow, Alp.

• 4:00Speaker 02

  And thanks, Element.

• 4:02Cameron Hanes?

  Oh shit.

• 4:03Speaker 02

Any others we need to hit?

• 4:04Cameron Hanes?

  God damn.

• 4:05Speaker 02

We knock them out quick around here.

• 4:07Cameron Hanes?

  Okay, that's all I had.

• 4:08Speaker 02

  Well.

• 4:09Cameron Hanes?

  That's it.

• 4:09Speaker 02

  It's been, I think it's been a little bit.

• 4:11Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 4:11Speaker 02

And disappointingly, the minions, the dog humans.

• 4:15Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 4:16Speaker 02

Haven't been really on our case. It must be because we're feeding them so many good podcasts with real people.

• 4:22Cameron Hanes?

They, we have, they haven't been talking shit. So we went to the cop, no comments. Oh yeah. Cause we got no shit talkers.

• 4:27Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 4:28Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 4:29Speaker 02

So I guess people don't like shit talkers anymore. So this is our final episode.

• 4:33Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 4:33Speaker 02

  Thanks for being here.

• 4:35Cameron Hanes?

I mean, if there was, I mean, if we had any momentum going, if you guys.

• 4:39Speaker 02

The only thing they could do to change my mind is to hit that like button.

• 4:43Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, smash the subscribe.

• 4:46Speaker 02

  Leave a comment down below.

• 4:47Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, do it. I mean, how else are you gonna do it? Balls deep. That's what we want to see.

• 4:55Speaker 02

All right. I'm warming my hands on the mic because it's about to get hot.

• 4:57Cameron Hanes?

  Oh shit.

• 4:58Speaker 02

  It's a bar.

• 4:59Cameron Hanes?

You got a hot take going?

• 5:00Speaker 02

Um, well, I think there's a, a hot take we got to talk about and we might as well get it out of the way early. I think, I think all the people are wondering, you know, so many people have asked me.

• 5:10Cameron Hanes?

Oh, that's, any video that starts like that, not one person has asked.

• 5:16Speaker 02

  Not a single person.

• 5:17Cameron Hanes?

The host just wants to talk about whatever the bullshit topic is. So what has everyone been wondering about?

• 5:23Speaker 02

Everyone has been wondering, is a hundred K a real ultra marathon?

• 5:28Cameron Hanes?

Hey, okay. All joking aside, I got like on all the cameras.

• 5:33Speaker 02

  Uh, yeah, 17th, 19th.

• 5:36Cameron Hanes?

Dude, everybody knows you're a complete fuck up.

• 5:39Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 5:40Cameron Hanes?

  And that's it. But.

• 5:44Speaker 02

And that's it. End of story.

• 5:45Cameron Hanes?

I will say, fucking 62 miles, a hundred K for you, top 10 performance. Holy shit, dude.

• 5:57Speaker 02

Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal. Actually, I'm racing Western States next year.

• 6:00Cameron Hanes?

  Holy shit.

• 6:02Speaker 02

  So.

• 6:03Cameron Hanes?

Well, you would have got third non-binary even there.

• 6:08Cameron Hanes?

So you wouldn't even have won it.

• 6:10Speaker 02

  Not even my division. Yeah.

• 6:13Cameron Hanes?

Probably worse than third. I just know there's like a couple of them like way up.

• 6:18Speaker 02

  Pretty quick.

• 6:18Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah. Third male.

• 6:20Speaker 02

  And are we drug testing?

• 6:21Cameron Hanes?

And I don't know if it's, I don't know if, so I don't know about what is non-binary. I don't even know any of that shit, but

• 6:30Cameron Hanes?

there, what are, I think, is it non-binary? I don't know what they.

• 6:36Speaker 02

Just to be honest, sometimes I get a little confused with Francesco.

• 6:42Cameron Hanes?

No, no, no, dude, my, did you see my test? My test score?

• 6:48Speaker 02

Oh yeah, it's in my notes.

• 6:49Cameron Hanes?

  So I'm fucking.

• 6:51Speaker 02

  Yeah, you're close.

• 6:52Cameron Hanes?

I'm knocking on the door. I mean, I might get pregnant. Fuck, who knows?

• 7:00Cameron Hanes?

But no, I looked at the the third Ryan fucking awesome runner and it said he they so I'm just like, okay, whatever. And then there's another, uh, is it, what's a girl's name that's really good? Got second.

• 7:15Speaker 02

  Oh, um, uh, just.

• 7:18Cameron Hanes?

Is it, it's not Rye, is it? Is it Rye?

• 7:23Speaker 02

  Not to look it up.

• 7:23Cameron Hanes?

But anyways, she was in the female, she fucking kicked ass.

• 7:27Speaker 02

Yeah, so I don't understand. I don't understand how that works either. If I say my pronouns, pronouns are they them, does that make me non-binary?

• 7:37Cameron Hanes?

  I guess.

• 7:37Speaker 02

Is that how that works? Okay. Let, leave a comment down below.

• 7:41Cameron Hanes?

You're asking a fucking, you're lucky I'm not eating dog shit right now.

• 7:51Cameron Hanes?

Let alone being able to figure out hard questions.

• 7:57Speaker 02

  What is it it say?

• 7:58Cameron Hanes?

I think she got second or third.

• 8:04Speaker 02

It's only giving me the men. Oh, there we go. Um, Riley?

• 8:08Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 8:08Speaker 02

  Riley Brady?

• 8:09Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, yeah, Riley Brady. Yeah. Awesome runner. Both of them kicked ass.

• 8:13Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 8:13Cameron Hanes?

But that's what I'm saying for you for not, if they are non-binary, I don't know if they are, but whatever they identify, congratulations.

• 8:19Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 8:19Cameron Hanes?

  Fucking awesome run.

• 8:21Speaker 02

And, and just because of how this episode's kind of starting off.

• 8:24Cameron Hanes?

  A little.

• 8:24Speaker 02

And the energy in the room, just remember everybody, it's all love.

• 8:28Cameron Hanes?

It, I mean, I am seriously trying to be positive. I mean, you might be surprised.

• 8:33Speaker 02

We're being positive. There's so much love that it's, that it comes with.

• 8:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, it's just, so anyway.

• 8:40Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 8:40Cameron Hanes?

My point was, you still would have got your ass kicked in your division, but not at your 100K.

• 8:47Speaker 02

No, in my division, I got 10th.

• 8:50Cameron Hanes?

No, that's fucking, that is a good performance. Um, but yeah.

• 8:55Speaker 02

So, here's, here's what the people aren't gonna like.

• 9:01Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 9:06Speaker 02

  I don't think it counts.

• 9:07Cameron Hanes?

  No. Sixty two miles?

• 9:10Speaker 02

Dude, I don't think it counts and here's why.

• 9:12Cameron Hanes?

  You, it fucking counts.

• 9:13Speaker 02

Here's why. I didn't take inventory. I didn't notice how I was feeling. I didn't count a single mile until I got through the first 50K. And then I just had another 50K left. So really, it's just two non ultras stacked together. Two negatives. While they do make a positive.

• 9:31Cameron Hanes?

Well, no, not adding. You'd have to time them. And this is just adding a 50K to another 50K? No.

• 9:37Speaker 02

Doesn't work. Yeah. I mean, it hurts, but I still feel like.

• 9:43Cameron Hanes?

Cause you're adding zero to zero.

• 9:45Speaker 02

Yeah. And listen, if you're doing a hundred K, like I said with the 50K, I'm not taking anything away from your accomplishment. It's insane. But. And maybe this is just how my brain works. I'm immediately like. Sixty two miles isn't that much. Like, it's not a hundred.

• 10:00Cameron Hanes?

No, okay. Now, now I think you're just being crazy. Cause sixty two is legit.

• 10:06Speaker 02

Yeah, but I did it, so.

• 10:07Cameron Hanes?

Fifty K is legit. I've always been on that train.

• 10:10Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 10:10Cameron Hanes?

I haven't been, speaking of trains, I haven't been, ever been, that fifty K's don't count.

• 10:16Speaker 02

  No, that's.

• 10:16Cameron Hanes?

Cause as I said, I got my ass kicked many times. At less than fifty K.

• 10:22Speaker 02

Well, I think that's where people go wrong is they think if it doesn't count, it doesn't mean your ass gets kicked. I get my ass kicked every Tuesday night. And I'm not even running.

• 10:31Cameron Hanes?

Oh. Tuesday, what's Tuesdays? Is that boys' night?

• 10:41Speaker 02

  Poker night.

• 10:42Cameron Hanes?

Boys, boys come over and play a little hide the weenie. Where could I put this?

• 10:50Speaker 02

Favorite game, let's see if my pinky fits in there.

• 10:54Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 10:55Speaker 02

  But, no, it was good.

• 10:56Cameron Hanes?

This one did start off really good, but now it's.

• 10:59Speaker 02

  No, this has been great.

• 11:00Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, still good?

• 11:01Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 11:01Cameron Hanes?

  Okay, all love.

• 11:02Speaker 02

We're good. Yeah, it's all love.

• 11:03Cameron Hanes?

Amazing, amazing, good performance. I was impressed. You fucking, I always said the other day, I don't know who I was saying it to. Who's our last guest? Chris? When he was here, you might be a fucking decent runner.

• 11:18Speaker 02

Yeah, I don't know about that.

• 11:20Cameron Hanes?

  I don't know.

• 11:20Speaker 02

I know, I said I do, I definitely have to get tougher. Just being able to deal with the pain a little bit.

• 11:25Cameron Hanes?

  Mm hmm.

• 11:25Speaker 02

Because at the end, like the last two laps is like, I could still run, but it just hurt so bad. I was just like, I'm just gonna, you know, run, walk.

• 11:33Cameron Hanes?

  Where, everywhere?

• 11:34Speaker 02

Yeah, mostly my, mostly my legs.

• 11:37Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 11:38Speaker 02

  And I, and I think.

• 11:39Cameron Hanes?

  But where?

• 11:40Speaker 02

Like hip flexors, kind of, you know, my knees. My feet weren't too bad. They didn't hurt. Not even as bad as they did in the first 50K I did.

• 11:49Cameron Hanes?

Did you, were the speed lands?

• 11:51Speaker 02

  No.

• 11:52Cameron Hanes?

  Would you, would you try?

• 11:53Speaker 02

  Pocas.

• 11:53Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, nice.

• 11:54Speaker 02

Stinson's actually, and I really liked them. I only got like big blister under my pad on my left foot, but it's because there was a rock under there, but um. I think.

• 12:05Speaker 02

I just was like that same shuffle the whole time and my legs started to kind of lock up. And so maybe I need to. Do different paces, stride it out a little bit or something to keep him from doing that, but. It hurt. I didn't think I was gonna finish from lap one. I didn't want to be there. I was like, this fucking sucks.

• 12:21Cameron Hanes?

  Well.

• 12:22Speaker 02

But uh, yeah, it was somehow one lap at a time.

• 12:26Cameron Hanes?

  No, I think.

• 12:26Speaker 02

  Done.

• 12:27Cameron Hanes?

That, that is hard. Um, where the terrain, there wasn't much up and down. So you don't.

• 12:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 12:33Cameron Hanes?

Right? You don't get, or was there?

• 12:34Speaker 02

Yeah, no, it was like, I think, uh, just shy of thirty six hundred feet. There was like one big pole coming out of the aid station and that, and then you go down and it was done. So.

• 12:43Cameron Hanes?

Well, that, at least that broke up a little bit.

• 12:46Speaker 02

Oh, that was my favorite part.

• 12:47Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, different feel.

• 12:48Speaker 02

I was like, oh, I get to at least kind of like power hike the beginning, you know?

• 12:52Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 12:52Speaker 02

  But.

• 12:53Cameron Hanes?

That's sometimes those flat races, it's just the same movement over and over and over, and it does fatigue different.

• 12:58Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 12:59Cameron Hanes?

You're the same, the same place on your body.

• 13:01Speaker 02

Yeah. So I'm sure I'll have people hating on me because it's not real, but whatever.

• 13:05Cameron Hanes?

No. I was impressed, dude. Fucking top ten hundred K, first hundred K, it's awesome.

• 13:11Speaker 02

It'll be the, probably the only top ten I ever get, but.

• 13:14Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 13:16Cameron Hanes?

  More than most.

• 13:17Speaker 02

Well, I also, this is just kind of along the same lines, but did my first open water swim today?

• 13:22Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, really?

• 13:24Speaker 02

Why do I feel like there's a shark in the middle of the lake that's just waiting to?

• 13:28Cameron Hanes?

So is, is, I thought open water was ocean.

• 13:32Speaker 02

I think. It technically is anything that's not a pool.

• 13:36Cameron Hanes?

  Really?

• 13:37Speaker 02

  I think so.

• 13:38Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, okay.

• 13:38Speaker 02

  Maybe I'm gonna get.

• 13:39Cameron Hanes?

We, we'd always say like, if we're hunting on Kodiak and we're out like in the ocean, that was open water.

• 13:45Speaker 02

Yeah, I guess that makes more sense, but like technically the size of Jenny Lake is open water. Cause it's, you know, a mile and a half across, so.

• 13:54Cameron Hanes?

I know, I, I was on a, I did a hunt, let's see, I killed a, I don't know what caribou it is, but I killed one. Um, I think in Northwest Territories. Anyway, we had to go out on this lake. And it was fucking huge and it had huge waves. I thought we were gonna sink. So to your point on big enough lake, open water, it was like waves out there and we couldn't even make it back to camp. And this is a fucking lake, so.

• 14:22Speaker 02

Is that when you guys had like a fucked up raft or something or?

• 14:24Cameron Hanes?

No, that was, that was me and Roy on Kodiak. This was with the Eastmans and we ended up sleeping like in a grain silo up there. Like just on the lake, cause it was nasty.

• 14:33Speaker 02

  Oh.

• 14:34Cameron Hanes?

And that's just, so I get it.

• 14:36Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 14:37Cameron Hanes?

You had to swim in that shit?

• 14:39Speaker 02

Yeah. Well, switching it up, I'm gonna talk, we're gonna talk about a little something I think. And let me get your opinion on this. How do you feel about the Savannah Bananas? Cause they're in town right now.

• 14:49Cameron Hanes?

God, I did not know they were as popular as they are. What the hell is that?

• 14:55Speaker 02

  I don't know, but I think it's a little homoerotic.

• 14:58Cameron Hanes?

It's packed around, I mean, traffic is crazy at Austin.

• 15:04Cameron Hanes?

  I don't know.

• 15:04Speaker 02

I, I don't know if there's any guys going, but there's definitely middle aged women who love that shit.

• 15:09Cameron Hanes?

What, is it all hot guys?

• 15:10Speaker 02

Yeah, but they're up there like pitching with their shirts off and doing little dances.

• 15:15Cameron Hanes?

  That's not right.

• 15:17Speaker 02

No, and it pisses me off. Cause of course I'm, you know, hard the whole time.

• 15:22Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, then you get lightheaded. That sucks.

• 15:26Speaker 02

I have to call my doctor because I've had an erection for more than four hours.

• 15:29Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, you got, that's why you can't go too early.

• 15:32Speaker 02

  Yeah, that's good.

• 15:33Cameron Hanes?

  You gotta time it.

• 15:34Speaker 02

  Catch the, the later innings.

• 15:35Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so you're only right, right under four hours of erection time.

• 15:41Speaker 02

Uh, something else I don't watch. Have you been keeping up with the World Cup?

• 15:47Speaker 02

  You watch soccer?

• 15:49Cameron Hanes?

Fuck no. I don't they call it football?

• 15:52Speaker 02

  Food, football, foosball.

• 15:54Cameron Hanes?

I've been, I fucking don't watch soccer. The only soccer thing I've ever, okay. I did, because it's whatever in my algorithm. I saw some, I saw some messy fucking penalty kicks that were pretty sick.

• 16:09Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 16:09Cameron Hanes?

The ones that go like, so got, they got all the guys lined up and they jump up. And the ball like misses it, the, the guy on the far side and it somehow goes in. Yeah. Bend to like Beckham, some fucking bullshit.

• 16:24Speaker 02

Yeah. I just know that like, I've seen all the patriotism, like of people rooting for America. And then we have a bunch of like foreigners coming over and they're experiencing America for the first time in their countries. Propaganda is like, America is terrible.

• 16:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 16:39Speaker 02

And they're all like, America's great. They have ranch and Buc-E's and Walmart.

• 16:43Cameron Hanes?

How do you beat that? Yeah.

• 16:46Speaker 02

  You can't.

• 16:46Cameron Hanes?

No, it's a, the only soccer thing I ever remember is. Now I don't remember her name, I don't think, but she made that one goal, did something, went running, took her shirt off and slid. With a sports bra.

• 17:02Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 17:02Cameron Hanes?

You know, and it's like, that's all I remember.

• 17:06Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 17:06Cameron Hanes?

Is there more to soccer than that?

• 17:08Speaker 02

Well, I kind of think the women's soccer players are tougher. The men are always flopping. It's like a bunch of LeBrons out there.

• 17:13Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. I mean, I wouldn't want to fight that one. Who's that one with the pink hair that's always causing fucking social justice issues? Well, she'd probably kick my ass, especially on my low T.

• 17:29Speaker 02

Yeah. She's probably got a higher T than us.

• 17:31Cameron Hanes?

  Probably.

• 17:32Speaker 02

Yeah, no shit. Um, what else? We got, we got a lot to catch up on.

• 17:37Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we do. It's been a, been a bit. We've had too many fucking good guests.

• 17:41Speaker 02

I know. And now we got to bring it back down to our level. Um, well, we got to talk about Dustin Poirier's arrest.

• 17:48Cameron Hanes?

It's gonna be bad, my ninja.

• 17:53Cameron Hanes?

I saw Sean Strickland, I already had a shirt that said that.

• 17:55Speaker 02

  Did he?

• 17:56Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, but it didn't say ninja. It said what he said.

• 17:59Speaker 02

  Yeah, that doesn't surprise me.

• 18:00Cameron Hanes?

I mean, he takes, he's taking off his backpack. He's ready to, I, I, one clip I saw, he said like to the, like the girls working at the desk, he was gonna fuck them. Was that?

• 18:14Cameron Hanes?

  Was that part of this?

• 18:16Speaker 02

I guess he was just doing whatever he could. I will say as a cop.

• 18:20Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 18:21Speaker 02

It'd be kinda scary, having Dustin Poirier drunk coming at you.

• 18:24Cameron Hanes?

  Well, he was backing up.

• 18:25Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 18:25Cameron Hanes?

  He had his taser out.

• 18:27Speaker 02

He called for backup and like hid behind the other guy.

• 18:29Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I was, uh, I don't know. I feel bad, you know, because I can't say I'd be any different.

• 18:38Speaker 02

  No.

• 18:39Cameron Hanes?

I mean, when you've done something your whole life and it's sure like at the pinnacle of excitement of and performance and a fight, I mean, if anybody's ever been in a fight, dude, so much adrenaline, so much I, I, emotion.

• 18:54Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 18:54Cameron Hanes?

And then, so you take that, all that away from somebody who's done it their whole life, had amazing success, has been known as the diamond and fucking huge fan base. And now, now what? He retired. Now what? At thirty some years old, what the fuck do you do with your whole life to get that, to match that level of

• 19:17Cameron Hanes?

  anything?

• 19:17Speaker 02

  Yeah, of purpose.

• 19:19Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, for sure. A purpose of excitement of just, you know, having a goal, like wanting to be champion, training every day. That is your, so as you said, that's your purpose. So now what?

• 19:31Speaker 02

  I guess.

• 19:31Cameron Hanes?

  Fuck, it's tough.

• 19:32Speaker 02

Pick up the bottle in the airport.

• 19:33Cameron Hanes?

  God, fight everybody.

• 19:37Cameron Hanes?

You know, cause here, what happens is, of course, there is no as, easy answer to that. So they unretire, go, and we know how that goes.

• 19:47Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 19:48Cameron Hanes?

It's usually, unless you're John Jones, it's usually fucking terrible.

• 19:50Speaker 02

  It's usually a farewell tour.

• 19:52Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and you just start getting the shit kicked out of you.

• 19:55Speaker 02

And whatever, you know, CTE you might've had just gets ten times worse.

• 19:59Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, cause you take tons of extra shots you didn't need to the head.

• 20:04Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 20:05Cameron Hanes?

I don't know. It's, uh, I feel bad for him.

• 20:08Speaker 02

I do too, cause I think Dustin's actually a pretty good guy, or at least I know he has a lot of, he does, you know, donates a lot and works with charities and things like that, so. Not the best look, but also I can understand it.

• 20:20Cameron Hanes?

I get it. I just, I'm, cause even they, those guys get a job in the booth and they call fights or they interview fighters. How fucking boring is that? I mean, at least you're doing something now.

• 20:32Speaker 02

Yeah. I don't know. I just don't think you, you'll, what could you possibly do?

• 20:37Cameron Hanes?

Bohun, Grizzlies. I mean, seriously, it's like, that would be, I don't know what else.

• 20:45Speaker 02

I mean, it's the same as like, you know, guys in the military who've deployed and come back and they're just expected to assimilate to people complaining that the, you know, their thing doesn't scan and the self-check outline.

• 20:58Cameron Hanes?

  Or somebody took a peptide.

• 20:59Speaker 02

Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Uh oh. Trigger warning.

• 21:03Cameron Hanes?

No. Um, but yeah, it is hard. So that's, I think then they get into like the fucking squirrel suit stuff. You know what I mean?

• 21:11Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 21:12Cameron Hanes?

And that goes, but it's, it's.

• 21:16Speaker 02

I feel like it's either that or drugs and alcohol. I mean, look at Nick Diaz. He's doing fucking terrible.

• 21:22Cameron Hanes?

  I haven't seen him in a while.

• 21:24Speaker 02

I think he's got, he's drinking and doing drugs too.

• 21:28Cameron Hanes?

For a while he wanted to come up and do the show and I wanted him to.

• 21:30Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 21:31Cameron Hanes?

It's hard nailing those guys down on anything.

• 21:35Speaker 02

  Nick's the older brother, right?

• 21:36Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Yeah. I think Nate's doing better.

• 21:38Speaker 02

  Nate's doing good. Yeah.

• 21:40Cameron Hanes?

But Nick, yeah, I don't know. I mean, I've been a fan, but fighting your whole life, it's fucking tough to walk away.

• 21:48Speaker 02

  Yeah, it is.

• 21:48Cameron Hanes?

And he lost, you know, five years of his prime for smoking pot. They, they suspended him. I mean, at least, I, I would hate to be a person who spent time in prison because of pot. Now it's legal, but.

• 22:02Speaker 02

  Yeah, that's gotta be some.

• 22:03Cameron Hanes?

He lost five years of prime of his career.

• 22:06Speaker 02

  Yeah, that's tough.

• 22:11Speaker 02

Well, do we want to talk about that certain podcast?

• 22:16Cameron Hanes?

  Which?

• 22:17Speaker 02

  He sent me.

• 22:17Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, God.

• 22:19Speaker 02

  Cause that shit was infuriating.

• 22:22Cameron Hanes?

I'm wondering if I, I don't know if I even, maybe I still have it here. Maybe we can play. Let me see, let me see where this is at. Oh, here we go. Let me see.

• 22:33Speaker 03

Near where he lives, Mount Piska. And yeah, I mean, he's a incredible athlete, older gentleman. I think he's what 58?

• 22:41Speaker 04

He is 58. Yep. And he's been in endurance sports for about 20 plus years now. And he's run some, some big things like, uh, Leadville, Bigfoot 200, Moab 240, Coquedona 250. So he's, he's done some big things.

• 22:57Speaker 03

Yeah. And, and I'll just say off the bat, like his whole vibe does not, I don't love it. Like, funny is Cameron Hanes whole vibe and the, and Speedland keeping working with them was one of the reasons I decided not to continue representing Speedland as an ambassador.

• 23:16Speaker 02

  Right.

• 23:17Speaker 03

It's because I felt they were leaning very heavy into Cameron Hanes. They produced, I think, three shoes with him. And just like one shoe from a bunch of other people. And I just didn't, you know, I don't have any problem with Cam.

• 23:32Cameron Hanes?

Oh, don't, don't have any problem with Cam.

• 23:35Speaker 02

Are we, are we sure that we stopped working with them for that reason and not because your podcast gets no listens and only one comment?

• 23:43Speaker 02

  That's just my question.

• 23:45Cameron Hanes?

Well, I like, I have no problem with Cam, but I'm going to quit if you guys keep doing stuff with him. Uh, this is, that's a cancel culture.

• 23:52Speaker 02

Yeah. But it's like, does a guy not understand business?

• 23:55Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 23:56Speaker 02

  He wants Speedland.

• 23:57Cameron Hanes?

  It's confusing. I, what I don't, you know?

• 24:04Cameron Hanes?

This is what, so I've been dealing with whatever in ultra forever, right? I just, I just have always felt they don't like people like me.

• 24:17Speaker 02

  Of course not.

• 24:17Cameron Hanes?

It's, it's tribalism and it's whatever, but they pretend until they get an excuse to hate. Like they, I gave them an excuse with the BPC, right? So they've pretended, okay, like, yeah, we, everyone's welcome, everyone's, don't be toxic. We love everyone and everyone's inclusive and, and non judgmental. Except for people, for me.

• 24:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 24:44Cameron Hanes?

Or people like me. This is, and this is the people on the left who are supposed to be this, you know, loving.

• 24:50Speaker 02

  Inclusive.

• 24:51Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. And just like, we don't judge. Oh, and that co-host, whoever she is, was talking about, you know, he's like the baseball hat, black t-shirt, beard, the, the Rogan manosphere. And I'm just like, holy shit. So anyway, that's, that's ultra right there. There you go.

• 25:10Speaker 02

  Black t-shirt?

• 25:11Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 25:12Speaker 02

Oh, uh, my favorite part of it is that, um, we're no longer allowed to say wife. We have to say partner because that's degrading.

• 25:20Cameron Hanes?

• 27:35Cameron Hanes?

I'm just gonna go ahead and call my wife my wife from still.

• 27:39Speaker 02

I think if you're calling your wife a partner, it probably means she still has her penis.

• 27:53Speaker 02

  And it's all love.

• 27:55Cameron Hanes?

I mean, I seriously have really, I don't know, I'm not perfect, but God, I don't, I try to see, I go to these races, I see everybody, I listen to all this shit and I'm fine. I fucking do not care if you're a guy and you love making out with another guy, fucking go for it. I don't give a fuck, but they pretend like they're, you know, better than everyone, apparently. And, but they're the most fucking, and, okay. I need my notes from Rogan where I said, be positive, be nice. God, I really don't want to fucking go off, but.

• 28:39Cameron Hanes?

I let these fuckers have, how long has it been now? A month, over a month?

• 28:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 28:45Cameron Hanes?

And I'm like, you know, just put up my blood test the other day. I've been so fucking transparent about what I've done. Yeah, it was two fucking years ago with my foot. Yes, I haven't been taking testosterone, so I'm at 162. What the fuck are you guys talking about with this doping bullshit? What are you talking about?

• 29:03Speaker 02

  Nothing.

• 29:05Cameron Hanes?

I'm fucking so low on air. I don't, I take nothing. I can fucking run better than I ever have. Is that the problem?

• 29:12Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 29:13Cameron Hanes?

That's the problem. Because there's no fucking dope in me.

• 29:16Speaker 02

  No.

• 29:17Cameron Hanes?

There's no PEDs. I haven't had what people would call a PED and fucking, I, I don't even know when.

• 29:25Speaker 02

But does that give them something to talk about? If they say, oh, case closed. It actually was a false alarm. No. So you have your little podcast and they want to get some views and some clicks? And they did that?

• 29:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 29:38Speaker 02

  And, you know?

• 29:39Cameron Hanes?

I hope, I hope it worked. But, yeah. Yeah, it's just, um, you know, I, I let them, mostly I let it go. And like, I, I had that blood test for a long time that I put up on my story yesterday. Um, for a couple of weeks anyway. And I'm just like, I just kind of like seeing what the, what the real feelings are. And I, there's even some good podcasts which, that I really like and I like to host, but so lazy on the take, so lazy on the, no nuance. Wouldn't want to talk to me at all and just say doping has no place in ultra.

• 30:14Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 30:14Cameron Hanes?

It's like, what, what, can you fucking maybe talk to me? Ask me?

• 30:19Speaker 02

Or at least have an open conversation about it, about the nuance. Cause there is a lot of nuance and there also is, that is a conversation that needs to happen, but apparently people aren't ready still to have conversations. Should've known, but.

• 30:32Cameron Hanes?

It's all right. I mean, point is, I'm going to fucking keep running and I'm going to probably get even faster. And then I don't know what's going to happen.

• 30:39Speaker 02

You think that'll make them happy?

• 30:41Cameron Hanes?

  I can't wait.

• 30:42Speaker 02

They'll have more shit to talk about.

• 30:44Cameron Hanes?

  I can't.

• 30:44Speaker 02

Well, speaking of dudes making out with dudes.

• 30:47Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 30:47Speaker 02

Did you know that friend of the show, Tim Dillon is gay?

• 30:50Cameron Hanes?

  I did.

• 30:51Speaker 02

  I didn't.

• 30:52Cameron Hanes?

  You didn't know that?

• 30:53Speaker 02

  No.

• 30:53Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, yeah.

• 30:54Speaker 02

Yeah, which makes him, I think, even funnier, some of his takes and the shit he talks about.

• 31:00Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 31:00Speaker 02

But what I love about it is it's not his whole personality.

• 31:04Cameron Hanes?

No. Well, you didn't even know it.

• 31:06Speaker 02

  Exactly.

• 31:06Cameron Hanes?

And how much have you watched?

• 31:07Speaker 02

  A lot.

• 31:08Cameron Hanes?

  Right. That's what's cool.

• 31:10Speaker 02

And guess what? I will continue watching it because I don't give a fuck.

• 31:13Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 31:13Speaker 02

But I just think that's like, oh, yeah, I didn't make it his whole personality because he has other personality to fucking offer.

• 31:20Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, I mean, anybody who like in their bio, they're putting that shit. Come on. I mean, do I put I'm straight in my bio? Or do you put you pretend to be straight in your bio? No.

• 31:36Speaker 02

I'm gonna get busted for lying about my sexuality.

• 31:39Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, I, yeah, Tim is, Tim is the best. Uh, and isn't that where I stole Friend of the Show from?

• 31:46Speaker 02

Yeah, that's why I had to say Friend of the Show.

• 31:49Cameron Hanes?

  I love Tim.

• 31:49Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 31:50Cameron Hanes?

But, uh, yeah, I don't, I don't give a fuck, straight, gay, bi, um, no.

• 31:57Speaker 02

  Partner.

• 31:57Cameron Hanes?

Drag queen, drag queen. Yeah, I mean, I got beat up by my own community for even being around Patagonia. And I'm like, I just block people. I'm like, shut the fuck up. Those are people on my people.

• 32:10Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:10Cameron Hanes?

And I block them because it's just dumb. This fucking tribalism is dumb. I don't give a fuck. Why, why do you, and I'm supposed to be the one who, who cares?

• 32:20Speaker 02

  We're supposed to be exclusive.

• 32:21Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we're supposed to be the fucking bigot racist Nazis.

• 32:25Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:26Cameron Hanes?

And I'm not, I block people who, who want to judge others. Fuck.

• 32:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 32:33Cameron Hanes?

  Fucking dorks.

• 32:34Speaker 02

It's backwards. But I figured that out because I was watching, uh, Bus Boys, Theo Von's new movie.

• 32:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 32:40Speaker 02

I love Theo Von. He's probably the podcast I listen to the most.

• 32:43Cameron Hanes?

When it, when it starts off like that, we know what the.

• 32:46Speaker 02

  I didn't like the movie.

• 32:47Cameron Hanes?

The Rotten Tomatoes score is gonna be.

• 32:49Speaker 02

  Yeah, it's not good.

• 32:50Cameron Hanes?

What was it? Out of a hundred?

• 32:56Speaker 02

  Twenty five.

• 32:59Speaker 02

  I mean, it was, I, I didn't finish it.

• 33:02Cameron Hanes?

That reminds me of my high school test scores.

• 33:07Cameron Hanes?

  Somehow I got straight A's.

• 33:09Speaker 02

  What?

• 33:10Cameron Hanes?

  I did.

• 33:10Speaker 02

So you've just been LARPing as like somebody who didn't like school? Cause when I talk about I was bad at school, my, I barely graduated because I had too many Fs.

• 33:20Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, for, for whatever reason, I always did good in school.

• 33:24Speaker 02

  Teacher's pet.

• 33:25Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, I remember one time I went up and got some award for, I think for straight A's.

• 33:31Speaker 02

  What?

• 33:32Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and my English Lit professor, uh, Howler said, he cheats.

• 33:42Speaker 02

  That's pretty good.

• 33:43Cameron Hanes?

So yeah, I was never supposed to be like, smart, because look, look at me. I mean, but yeah, so whatever, fuck it, school. I never did one ounce of homework.

• 33:56Speaker 02

Ah, I didn't either. Well, the other movie I watched was Disclosure Day.

• 34:01Cameron Hanes?

  What's that?

• 34:02Speaker 02

Steven Spielberg, it's about like disclosing the information we have on aliens. It's supposed to be fictional, but I'm pretty sure it's just a documentary.

• 34:10Cameron Hanes?

Is this part of the distraction for the peasants?

• 34:14Speaker 02

This is where I was going with this is in the theater, all the previews, like, I want to say three out of the four movies that there are previews for, bar The Odyssey, was, had to do with child trafficking or pedophiles. And how fucking convenient.

• 34:29Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 34:30Speaker 02

Is that, it's like, let's make movies about it, so it kind of lessens the blow.

• 34:34Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 34:34Speaker 02

It's, I was kind of like, I don't know, disturbed me a little bit.

• 34:38Cameron Hanes?

There, what do they, what do they do when they kind of get you used to it? Like?

• 34:42Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 34:43Cameron Hanes?

  What's that called?

• 34:44Speaker 02

  Desensitize.

• 34:45Cameron Hanes?

  Or condition us?

• 34:46Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 34:46Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, so it's like, movies condition us to what real life. So you'll look at some of these old movies, like, I think there's one, God, what is that movie? I think it was Nicolas Cage. I wish I could remember what it was, but there's a guy, his name was Charp, I think, something like, almost like Charlie Kirk.

• 35:05Speaker 02

  Yeah, I think so.

• 35:06Cameron Hanes?

Gets shot in the neck, in the movie. So basically, it feels like Hollywood does all this shit to get us kind of used to it. Make everybody gay in every fucking movie, make, you know, all this child trafficking, all this, you know, just to get us like, oh, that's, yeah, it happens. That's okay.

• 35:27Speaker 02

  They make movies about it.

• 35:28Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, they make movies. It's, it's whatever.

• 35:31Speaker 02

Yeah. Well, in Disclosure Day, there's like this private company, this private sector company that owns all the information about aliens and has for the last 70 years. It's Lockheed Martin in Israel.

• 35:45Speaker 02

Wait, I'm not allowed to talk about it.

• 35:46Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, God.

• 35:47Speaker 02

  My girlfriend said so.

• 35:49Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 35:49Speaker 02

Because if they're gonna come after me, they'll come after her. And they're not, the only ones, nevermind.

• 35:56Cameron Hanes?

I can't, I don't want to talk about people coming after people. You know what I've been dealing with?

• 36:01Speaker 02

I know. I was, were you allowed to say that? Anything about that?

• 36:05Cameron Hanes?

  No.

• 36:05Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 36:09Cameron Hanes?

It's, yeah, I don't know. It's just, I want to talk about it, but.

• 36:16Speaker 02

Let's just, maybe we'll just say this. On the internet,

• 36:21Speaker 02

there are consequences for your actions.

• 36:25Speaker 02

  Listen to those words.

• 36:28Cameron Hanes?

  And take them to heart.

• 36:30Speaker 02

  Yes.

• 36:31Cameron Hanes?

  Because somebody.

• 36:34Speaker 02

  Fuck around and find out.

• 36:35Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, they did. And it wasn't, and it wasn't good.

• 36:37Speaker 02

  Big time.

• 36:38Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So, um, I understand, everybody's got a hot take. I understand how these takes can upset certain groups or certain people or certain individuals, but

• 36:52Cameron Hanes?

just settle down. Don't get fucking crazy. Don't say crazy shit.

• 36:57Speaker 02

And stop getting so upset about shit. Maybe that's easy to say. We're the ones over here ruffling some feathers or whatever, but I don't know. I guess I've been upset about shit too, but.

• 37:08Cameron Hanes?

Not, you didn't say the stuff like.

• 37:11Speaker 02

  Never.

• 37:11Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 37:12Speaker 02

Cause I would never fucking say that to somebody, but.

• 37:15Cameron Hanes?

Just be smart, people. Just, just fucking, I know everybody wants to, you want to say stuff that's gonna hurt people or make an impact or like be, like get them to think, but, or get, or scared, or.

• 37:32Cameron Hanes?

Uh, maybe shut up because you don't like what they say, but don't cross the line.

• 37:38Speaker 02

  No.

• 37:38Cameron Hanes?

  That's all I'd say.

• 37:39Speaker 02

It's also a free country. People, well, because people can say what they want to a certain point.

• 37:47Speaker 02

  And then there are consequences.

• 37:50Speaker 02

But all right, well, I have one other film piece of, a piece of film to, um, review. And you finally watched it, which was Nadal's documentary.

• 38:00Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, that was good.

• 38:01Speaker 02

Since we've talked about some documentaries on here, we got to talk about this one. If you don't play tennis, it's still great. If you're going to watch a documentary on tennis, Nadal is probably the one to watch.

• 38:10Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, no, what, what a career, what, I mean, been through so much.

• 38:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 38:16Cameron Hanes?

And that, I mean, fucking tough sport. Holy shit. Like when he started off, like, I think it was just, he got called up to that one big match. I think he was 18 and I can't remember who he's playing. You probably do, but like it started off with a few, are they aces? Or what are they called when it's the serve and you don't even return?

• 38:36Speaker 02

  Yeah, it's an ace.

• 38:37Cameron Hanes?

Ace, yeah. Started off like a few of those.

• 38:39Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 38:39Cameron Hanes?

  He was not fucking ready.

• 38:41Speaker 02

  No.

• 38:41Cameron Hanes?

And then I think he turned it into like a hell of a match, didn't he?

• 38:45Speaker 02

Yeah. So, yeah, he, he goes down one set, uh, fights his way back. And that's when it started raining.

• 38:54Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 38:54Speaker 02

And he goes back and tells his uncle, you know, you don't have to make it rain anymore.

• 38:58Cameron Hanes?

Oh, that's right. His uncle said, if, if he's going to lose, he'll, don't worry, he'll make it rain.

• 39:03Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 39:03Cameron Hanes?

There was a rain delay and, and, but that was when he was kind of coming back.

• 39:08Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 39:08Cameron Hanes?

The momentum was switching a little bit.

• 39:10Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 39:11Cameron Hanes?

And then, yeah, so he said at that break that, don't worry, I'm going to win.

• 39:15Speaker 02

  Pretty awesome.

• 39:16Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. But that's documentaries, all this AI fucking, everything's fake. It's like documentaries, at least, at least tell a real story.

• 39:25Speaker 02

Give me something real and about a real person, you know? We were just talking about like in disclosure day, Emily Blunt was like, I don't know. I understand it's always been that Hollywood actors are kind of the image for vanity in society, but you're also supposed to be playing a person as a role. So like, why do you, why are you trying to look like you're 20 when you're 60, making your face all frozen and fucked up?

• 39:51Cameron Hanes?

Who do you, what movie is this?

• 39:52Speaker 02

This is Disclosure Day, but Emily Blood is like, I don't know, she's obviously gotten botox to where she like can't wrinkle her forehead or anything. It's like.

• 39:59Cameron Hanes?

Cause I saw, wasn't she in Sicario? Did you ever see that movie?

• 40:03Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:04Cameron Hanes?

  I thought she did good.

• 40:05Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah.

• 40:05Cameron Hanes?

But that must have been before.

• 40:07Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:08Cameron Hanes?

All those shit. Yeah, that was, that was, I thought that was a good movie.

• 40:11Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:12Cameron Hanes?

I haven't seen her lately, but I do hate the, I mean, I saw, I can't remember what I was watching, but they showed the crowd of somebody and some girl was standing up. All I could see was her fucking stupid lips. Just puffed up, just fucking ridiculous.

• 40:29Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 40:30Cameron Hanes?

What are we doing? I would rather have paper thin lips on a girl than fucking fake bicycle pump lips.

• 40:36Speaker 02

Yeah. And I don't know how you can think that looks good.

• 40:40Cameron Hanes?

Cause they're like, I want full lips. Well, when your whole, rest your face goes like this, then your lips are like.

• 40:47Speaker 02

  You're like a duck.

• 40:48Cameron Hanes?

Stand by. Oh, fuck, I'm breaking up. This is them.

• 40:54Cameron Hanes?

  Does this look good?

• 40:57Cameron Hanes?

  Do you think?

• 41:03Cameron Hanes?

Does that look good? Well, that's what you fucking look like. Holy shit. Okay, now where's my notes? Be positive, be nice.

• 41:11Speaker 02

Yes, yeah. It's all love, positivity.

• 41:14Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, I hate that stuff.

• 41:15Speaker 02

  I do too.

• 41:17Cameron Hanes?

Real saggy tits, thin lips, wrinkles.

• 41:22Speaker 02

  Bring it on.

• 41:23Cameron Hanes?

  For the win.

• 41:23Speaker 02

  For the win.

• 41:27Speaker 02

We gotta talk about some guests we had on, some cool things we did. FKT's with Aaron Tone. Tonk, sorry.

• 41:34Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, um, that, that was actually hard.

• 41:40Cameron Hanes?

  It's actually kinda hard.

• 41:43Cameron Hanes?

  She is a freak.

• 41:46Speaker 02

The amount of time that I had to start beforehand and then didn't even beat you guys by that much.

• 41:53Cameron Hanes?

No, you got, what time do you guys leave here?

• 41:55Speaker 02

Uh, we left here at 1am.

• 41:59Cameron Hanes?

So our plan was to get, for me and her, uh, was to get to the trailhead and Taylor and Chris went to, Chris is her boyfriend, Taylor is not my boyfriend, but my brother. And he's a beast. But we went, we were gonna start at 6.

• 42:17Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 42:17Cameron Hanes?

6am. So you guys left at 1 to make sure you got a head start.

• 42:20Speaker 02

Yeah. So we started up the trailhead at like 3:30.

• 42:23Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 42:24Speaker 02

But you guys didn't start it right at 6.

• 42:25Cameron Hanes?

No, we started at 6:08 or 9. Yeah.

• 42:29Speaker 02

So we had, you know, almost three full hours of heads.

• 42:33Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So we got up there and the record was 207 for this is a male female team fastest ever from, is Devil's Lake?

• 42:43Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 42:44Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, Devil's Lake, uh, to the summit of the South Sister. And the record was 207. We did it in, I think, 158?

• 42:52Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 42:53Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. So we got the record there, but I didn't know how fast she was gonna take off. And I was like hoping, cause I'm old, I'm hoping like, hey, let's warm up a little bit. Nope. No fucking warm up. So I kinda like, lost contact for a while with them. Yeah, she was going, I was falling off the back, cause I'm like, I mean, you know, you blow your legs out on that first climb.

• 43:17Speaker 02

  Oh, yeah.

• 43:17Cameron Hanes?

What are you gonna have for the summit? So. Caught back up on the bench. You get up there and then we kind of stuck together and it started to go. Maybe she slowed down, but uh, man, it was sick. It was a beautiful day. June 14th, the day before that you had to have a permit to climb it on the 15th, but yeah, it was

• 43:37Speaker 02

  It was perfect.

• 43:38Cameron Hanes?

  Perfect Sunday.

• 43:39Speaker 02

Yeah. Um, you already mentioned him, but we did also have, uh, Chris Brandt on.

• 43:46Cameron Hanes?

Oh yeah. No, I was, I was talking about Chris, her boyfriend.

• 43:49Speaker 02

Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm saying you mentioned him earlier in this podcast.

• 43:52Cameron Hanes?

  I did?

• 43:52Speaker 02

Yeah. When you were talking about, I might actually be a good runner.

• 43:56Cameron Hanes?

Oh yeah. Yeah. I mentioned Chris Brandt. Um, yeah, Chris, uh, man, Macy made a couple reels to promote.

• 44:03Speaker 02

  Oh yeah.

• 44:04Cameron Hanes?

  So good.

• 44:05Speaker 02

  He's a badass.

• 44:06Cameron Hanes?

How the hell do you make a, a snowmobile do a backflip?

• 44:10Speaker 02

I don't know. That's gotta be absolutely terrifying.

• 44:14Cameron Hanes?

Cause those things are big and heavy.

• 44:15Speaker 02

  Heavy as shit.

• 44:16Cameron Hanes?

So I saw him like, I know the ramp has to be pretty

• 44:19Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 44:20Cameron Hanes?

Specific how it works, but then he's just like leaning all the way back. Cause you gotta get that momentum. And then he said, this is what I don't, I understand now because even the guys on the bikes do it, but if like, if you're over rotating, you hit the brake and it makes the nose go down. Or if you need, you hit the throttle and so it makes that momentum go. If you need to keep, you know, get the rotation, but doing all that in this, you know, split second and I don't know. It's rough.

• 44:53Speaker 02

  That is rough. Yeah.

• 44:55Cameron Hanes?

But yeah, he's, he's a beast. I loved it. I mean, what amazing personality, just a nice guy.

• 45:04Cameron Hanes?

Just a fucking badass. Just really, really enjoyed it.

• 45:07Speaker 02

  Yeah. He was super nice.

• 45:07Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 45:08Speaker 02

Um, we also had Kyle on.

• 45:11Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 45:11Speaker 02

  Kid Cokie.

• 45:12Cameron Hanes?

Kid Cokie. Also like, I don't know. That was, I gotta give you credit on that. You kind of facilitated that, but. He's a another one of the probably the most nicest humans you'll ever meet.

• 45:24Speaker 02

  I know.

• 45:24Cameron Hanes?

  So fucking cool and badass.

• 45:27Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 45:28Cameron Hanes?

  So such good people.

• 45:30Speaker 02

Yeah, he and I, uh, he had to change his flight to Portland. So I drove him up there after the podcast. So we had time to have a long conversation and he's just the nicest guy.

• 45:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 45:39Speaker 02

But yeah, and then we also had Marco on.

• 45:41Cameron Hanes?

  Oh shit.

• 45:42Speaker 02

  Done a shit talker since.

• 45:43Cameron Hanes?

Oh, that's right. Yeah, Marco. I'm pumped for, you know, he just sent me a text the other day. He's coming back for Prefontaine and um, he's his first pro race and he's like, yeah, I want you to meet my agent. You know, when I come back and I'm gonna see if he can, if I can get fucking healthy after I'm still still bank. I had another issue, uh, riding an ambulance and to the ER. It's been kind of a rough little stretch.

• 46:13Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 46:13Cameron Hanes?

For me lately, but aside from that, if I can get healthy, I sort of can run again almost. Um, I want him to pace me to uh, my fastest mile.

• 46:27Speaker 02

He'd be a good one to do it.

• 46:28Cameron Hanes?

I know, I know. So, cause we were running, you know, 75s. I know I, you know, was holding five minute pace with them. So I just wanted to do it a full, complete mile. Have you filmed the whole thing just so we have it all? But uh, he's got his big two mile race, first pro race at Prefontaine going against the fucking big guns. Grant Fisher just won, I think the 5,012 something at a huge, I think a Diamond League meet. So that's who's in this two mile also, who's Olympic medalist.

• 47:00Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 47:00Cameron Hanes?

Just won that other, that big race I just mentioned. If Marco, I mean, he says, I love his attitude. He wants to fucking win, right?

• 47:08Speaker 02

  I do too.

• 47:09Cameron Hanes?

He wants to kick all the pros asses, he says. And that's, that's attitude you have to have, I think. And the difference between him and everybody else is he has attitude and he'll speak it into existence. Some people, they might think that they'd never say it, or they might not think that. So, and then for sure wouldn't say it if they didn't believe it, but um.

• 47:30Speaker 02

It's like Tiger Woods, he's before he's playing his first pro tournament and the interviewer asks him like, you know, what, what do you expect from yourself? And he goes, you know, I'd like to win. The interviewer says, don't you think that's arrogant? And he goes, I figure, why show up to a tournament if you don't think you got a chance to win?

• 47:46Cameron Hanes?

Right. Yeah, exactly. It's, it's just that, that champion mindset. And of course, it doesn't always work because a lot of people there want to win. It's got to be your day. It's got to, a lot has to go your way. You have to have the talent. You have to have the training block. You have to, you know, just race smart that day. So yeah, there's, there's many reasons why it wouldn't work. But uh,

• 48:11Cameron Hanes?

if he did win his first pro race?

• 48:13Speaker 02

  That'd be sick.

• 48:14Cameron Hanes?

Oh, man. I'd, and I was gonna tell him too, but I want to get a post first pro race podcast if he has time.

• 48:23Speaker 02

  That would be sick.

• 48:24Cameron Hanes?

Just to, yeah, just to hear what he, and then he could, then we could talk about his new deal that he signed as a pro runner and give his new sponsor some love and then hear about, you know, just what the pro life is like.

• 48:37Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 48:38Cameron Hanes?

So I'd like to do that, but I need to, I'll text him.

• 48:40Speaker 02

Well, speaking of races, Truitt just ran a race.

• 48:43Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Yeah. Finally, fucking Rory Linkletter got him. I think, I think his coach, the coaching is finally, or not finally, I mean, he finally got a coach, but the coaching would have probably always worked. I'm glad he chose Rory. Rory seems like he's very supportive, very good, obviously, a huge talent, one of Canada's best ultra, or I mean marathoners, Olympian, and Truitt hired him. So first race under Rory's tutelage, I think is what they'd call it. And Truitt ran five twenties, got third place. And uh, yeah, hell of a, hell of a run. His best ever 10 miler.

• 49:25Speaker 02

  He was cooking.

• 49:26Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, he's cooking.

• 49:27Speaker 02

Yeah, that was good to see. I like that.

• 49:29Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. And he's still, I don't know if you, do you see the picture?

• 49:32Speaker 02

Yeah, he still looks fucking jacked.

• 49:34Cameron Hanes?

Way too big, dude. I mean, you, you look at everybody else and then you see him. And it's like, to get, so he ran five twenties today. He's got to run five tens.

• 49:45Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 49:45Cameron Hanes?

Okay. It's, it's only, it's body weight. He's got the talent. It's just, can we get rid of 15? So he's been lifting for 15 years, which is more than half his life.

• 49:58Cameron Hanes?

Can he get rid of that, all that back muscle, mostly from the pull-ups, but his chest looks too big, his arms look too big.

• 50:04Speaker 02

  He's too wide.

• 50:05Cameron Hanes?

He's too, yeah, it's just lats and it's like, can you, and he's still like in the 50s and like we had, uh, uh, Marco was saying he raised his best at 138, you know?

• 50:19Speaker 02

Yeah. And he was what, 145?

• 50:20Cameron Hanes?

  147.

• 50:21Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:22Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. But still, Truitt's way bigger than that.

• 50:25Speaker 02

Yeah. And he, and I mean, Marco said he felt big.

• 50:27Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 50:27Speaker 02

  You know?

• 50:28Cameron Hanes?

Nine pounds heavy. So if Truitt could somehow get down in the fort, even the high 30s, it'd be a whole different game.

• 50:37Speaker 02

What do you think it would take to, to shed that weight?

• 50:40Cameron Hanes?

  I have no idea, dude.

• 50:41Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:42Cameron Hanes?

  Starving yourself?

• 50:44Speaker 02

I know, but then does your training decline?

• 50:45Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 50:46Speaker 02

  You know?

• 50:46Cameron Hanes?

You can't train hard because then you'll be, you know, depleted and you might get hurt.

• 50:50Speaker 02

Yeah, that's a really hard formula to figure out, I feel like.

• 50:52Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, it's hard knowing, uh, you gotta push hard to keep the speed up. You gotta lose weight. So you have to be at a deficit. And then you have to not get hurt with all this training.

• 51:05Speaker 02

  Miserable.

• 51:06Cameron Hanes?

Because to get fast, you have to run fast. To run fast with your body depleted is setting yourself up for injury. So it's a, it's, he's got time.

• 51:16Speaker 02

Yeah. That, that's what I'm thinking is like, is, do you think it would almost be worth focusing on getting the weight down, trying to maintain fitness, not improve, then once the weight is off, go forward with improving that fitness?

• 51:27Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. I mean, I don't know. We've talked about all that.

• 51:30Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 51:32Speaker 02

  I assume so.

• 51:33Cameron Hanes?

And then his last race, which was,

• 51:38Cameron Hanes?

oh, I think it was a Utah marathon.

• 51:40Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 51:41Cameron Hanes?

He had, was so frustrated trying to lose weight that he's like, okay, screw it. Maybe I'll just run at 160 and just train better and just, you know, this is what I'm going to try to, and then that didn't go good. So.

• 51:54Speaker 02

  There's a reason.

• 51:56Cameron Hanes?

So he's, I mean, he, it went good. It's still, but it's still two 30s, which is slow for trying to make the Olympic trials.

• 52:02Speaker 02

Well, I mean, there's a reason all those guys look the same.

• 52:05Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Yeah. So it's, that's the next, that's the hardest thing right now is him getting lighter.

• 52:12Speaker 02

Yeah, well, the last thing on my list is to talk about the Bentley giveaway.

• 52:18Cameron Hanes?

  Ah.

• 52:19Speaker 02

Do you listeners at home want to win a V8 Bentley? Do you want to see yourself driving around in camo flames in a V8 Bentley?

• 52:28Cameron Hanes?

It's a pretty sick car, I'll say that.

• 52:30Speaker 02

It is sick and the ride is unbelievable.

• 52:32Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 52:33Speaker 02

I know we've said it before, but

• 52:36Speaker 02

there's no other way you have a chance to have a Bentley.

• 52:38Cameron Hanes?

  No, hell no.

• 52:39Speaker 02

Go enter your email or buy a damn T-shirt. Who cares?

• 52:42Cameron Hanes?

I was like, of course you saw, I, or I think you saw, I don't know if you're on that text thread, but I get, I want to put up all we've given away, just to like, kind of remind people that, because when I, and I, I told the, the team, I said, I want the total of all we've given away. I want everything listed, but I want that total because, and the total I saw that we've given away so far is like $617,000. But I think it's more because there's, there's like some trucks that aren't even in there that I gave away.

• 53:13Cameron Hanes?

Which might be more than, than I make. So I just want to reiterate, I don't,

• 53:23Cameron Hanes?

I don't know if I, I don't think I make any money, but where I get rewarded is when I look at that number and I see the total of what we've given away. That is my reward. And also I like paying people that work for me. I try to pay them well. I want to celebrate their talents. I want to give away cool shit like this Bentley or a Rolex or a Bow. And at the end of the day, if there's no, none left for me, I don't fucking care. But I think people think that, you know, I do this just to make money. It's like, I'm not very good at the making money part. I'm good at the other shit, making people hate me.

• 54:03Speaker 02

Yeah. I didn't even know you finally got a check from your own company.

• 54:06Cameron Hanes?

I never did. I still have it. It's been three years.

• 54:09Speaker 02

  So you've made nothing.

• 54:10Cameron Hanes?

No, so, um, tax write offs.

• 54:12Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 54:13Cameron Hanes?

  I got those.

• 54:14Speaker 02

  Nice.

• 54:14Cameron Hanes?

But, yeah, I mean, I don't know. It's uh, it's fun, but I just wanna, I just wanna tell people like, you know, they say it's better to give than receive. That's a hundred percent. And it's like, it's such a cliche, but for me, that's what all this is about. It's like the more, the more success I have, the better this podcast does, the more eyes we get, the more hate I get, which also means the more support I get. Cause even with all this hate on the fucking doping thing, my followers have skyrocketed. So with all that, all I'm saying is like the, the better we do, the more I can give. And that's what I wanna do. I just wanna build this up. I wanna give away a fucking Bentley every month.

• 54:51Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 54:52Cameron Hanes?

I would love that. So that's the goal.

• 54:54Speaker 02

And calling the winners is always.

• 54:56Cameron Hanes?

Oh, fucking love it, dude. They, they shit their pants. It's like, it's so cool. Like, and just even to say that somebody won a Rolex, because I don't know what that guy, I don't know what he ordered to win it, but that's just awesome. Such a sick watch. So it's, I just get off on, on giving and um, yeah, so I wanna, I wanna,

• 55:20Cameron Hanes?

I wanna, I wanna show the total. I wanna talk about what we've done. I wanna, I wanna give these Bentley keys to somebody.

• 55:27Speaker 02

Can we clip that part? I get off on giving?

• 55:30Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, just that. Get off on giving. Oh.

• 55:39Speaker 02

That reminds me, I was gonna say, uh, I can't remember who made that one edit of us making weird sounds and, oh.

• 55:46Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, you do. We canceled him too. Or no, I got canceled. Did I get canceled? Or did Tru get canceled? No, it's Truitt.

• 55:53Speaker 02

Oh, he got canceled? Oh, but from him?

• 55:55Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah, from downhill merchant.

• 55:56Speaker 02

  Yeah, I got canceled.

• 55:57Cameron Hanes?

  You got canceled too?

• 55:58Speaker 02

By a friend of the show. The, your biggest hater. He blocked me.

• 56:03Cameron Hanes?

  What'd you do?

• 56:05Speaker 02

Existed. I said 50 Ks don't count and that hurt his feelings. I honestly, I, I don't, I totally understand blocking me. I'm probably super annoying.

• 56:17Speaker 02

I, I, I will play right into the character. I think it's, I love rage baiting people. Unfortunately, it's a, I think it's funny, but.

• 56:26Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Did you rage bait him?

• 56:28Speaker 02

No, I rage bait people on here, though.

• 56:30Cameron Hanes?

  Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 56:31Speaker 02

  People like, you know, whatever.

• 56:32Cameron Hanes?

Well, now you can't rage bait him because now you got blocked.

• 56:35Speaker 02

  I know.

• 56:35Cameron Hanes?

  Now you're fucked.

• 56:36Speaker 02

  I know he still listens.

• 56:38Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah. Friend of the show.

• 56:40Speaker 02

You got a crush on me.

• 56:41Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, we're, hey, we're, it's all good. It's all love, baby. It's all love.

• 56:45Speaker 02

Lucky for me, I got a chance because you call your wife your partner.

• 56:52Cameron Hanes?

  I don't.

• 56:54Speaker 02

We don't condone that. I'm just kidding.

• 56:57Cameron Hanes?

  It's all jokes.

• 56:59Speaker 02

You can call your partner whatever you want.

• 57:02Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, and we, we support it.

• 57:05Speaker 02

Yeah. Well, that's all I had.

• 57:07Cameron Hanes?

Well, I will say I did, you know, we talked about Western states at the beginning, but they fucking flew yesterday.

• 57:13Speaker 02

  That's.

• 57:14Cameron Hanes?

Three, or no, four runners under the course record.

• 57:17Speaker 02

And the podium was all under 14.

• 57:19Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, nuts. Because no runner in 50 some years, I believe, had ever broke 14 hours. And four of them did, including the podium. So the top three, of course, but uh, I, I just, I mean, it was a good weather day, but man, these guys are getting fast. And it's this, it's the fueling. I don't know how much the shoes are making a difference in 100 miles. It's not the super shoes like in the marathon or the 10K or the track. But um, these guys are just better, younger, uh, better science and fucking flying.

• 57:53Speaker 02

Yeah, I was, I mean, Hans obviously blew up.

• 57:56Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I was, God, I wanted, he was, that's who I thought was gonna win.

• 58:00Speaker 02

  Me too.

• 58:01Cameron Hanes?

  He's a fucking freak.

• 58:02Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 58:02Cameron Hanes?

And I like him. And I watched, I don't know if you ever watched that documentary on him called The Kid?

• 58:06Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 58:07Cameron Hanes?

  So good.

• 58:07Speaker 02

  That's a good one.

• 58:10Cameron Hanes?

I, you know, he was out by himself, fucking sent it and then blew up.

• 58:15Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 58:15Cameron Hanes?

But God, that's how you want to go out with balls. And uh, then Killian, he dropped.

• 58:23Speaker 02

  Yep.

• 58:23Cameron Hanes?

Jim, who's been the ulterior goat forever, dropped. And it's these young guys, I guess.

• 58:30Speaker 02

And they were flying. I mean, it's like you guys, I can't remember which guest it was, but you guys were saying that, I mean, the 100 miles are turning into fricking track meets too, yeah.

• 58:39Cameron Hanes?

That, that one, that one for sure, because the trails aren't, it's just fast. You can run the whole thing.

• 58:44Speaker 02

Well, yeah, I mean, sub 14 for 100 miles, even if you're on flat is fucking impressive.

• 58:49Cameron Hanes?

So, so, I mean. Yeah, and they're on that. Well, yeah, there it's where I broke my foot.

• 58:55Speaker 02

Yeah. Which there are some, yeah.

• 58:58Cameron Hanes?

There's some, there's some, but they, those guys just fly.

• 59:00Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 59:01Cameron Hanes?

It's just amazing. And then the woman, uh, Jen Lipter, she, her first hundred, she broke Courtney's record.

• 59:08Speaker 02

By a minute and 28 seconds, was it?

• 59:10Cameron Hanes?

But I did tell Courtney that in that weather, she had around 1510.

• 59:16Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 59:17Cameron Hanes?

Of course, she would never give, never agree to that. She's always like, oh, they're so amazing. But, uh, I'm always, yeah, definitely a Courtney number one fan, but I like to see all, everybody kicked ass yesterday. It was crazy, uh, guided it out. Great day. Um, I don't know who, I don't remember who the third woman was, but.

• 59:40Speaker 02

  It was.

• 59:41Cameron Hanes?

  You have it there?

• 59:41Speaker 02

  Yeah, it was, uh.

• 59:43Cameron Hanes?

Want to give them some love.

• 59:45Speaker 02

  Mary Ann Hogan.

• 59:46Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, yeah. And I think she, yeah, she's, I think she paced, maybe she paced Courtney's. I remember I watched something where she was, or, or, or maybe it was with Rachel, but anyway, she's a, uh, incredible runner also.

• 1:00:02Speaker 02

Did, uh, Jeff Browning end up breaking the, uh?

• 1:00:05Cameron Hanes?

  I don't know, but he did, you're 16 or 17 hours.

• 1:00:09Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:00:09Cameron Hanes?

So I don't know what the record was, but he's 50, is he 54?

• 1:00:13Speaker 02

  Yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:14Cameron Hanes?

Bronco and he fucking awesome. I just love, I'm addicted to that live stream and all that shit. Watching that yesterday. It was so cool, but, uh, my favorite of all that, um, my fa- probably one of my favorite male ultra runners is Zach Miller. Do you know who he is? Did you see his finish?

• 1:00:39Speaker 02

  The finish was unreal.

• 1:00:41Cameron Hanes?

That's how he finishes, like all his races.

• 1:00:44Speaker 02

  I love that.

• 1:00:45Cameron Hanes?

  I love that heart.

• 1:00:46Speaker 02

Oh, something we got to talk about, speaking of heart, is the Midstate Mile with Mark Dowdle, friend of the show and Harvey Lewis.

• 1:00:54Cameron Hanes?

Harvey, I love Harvey Lewis. I love Mark, too.

• 1:00:56Speaker 02

  Harvey sprinted to finish, too.

• 1:00:58Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I know. And Harvey, so he is this, I think he's left leaning, I'm assuming, but vegan, but he's like, people try to rope him into talking shit about me or whatever. And all he ever says is like, hey, I think we'd have a lot more in common than we, than we have not in common. And that's true with everybody. If you get, just give somebody a chance. But he's been so, you know, when they were trying to cancel me, he was always like, so cool. And always trying to get me to come do that race. Cause to get a big number, you have to have good competition. Not saying that, obviously, he did with Mark. Mark's a fucking legend. But Mark and Harvey put on a show there, broke,

• 1:01:39Cameron Hanes?

you know, set all new course records, but, and then just had an epic battle, essentially. So cool.

• 1:01:47Speaker 02

Yeah, how you are with Courtney, I am with Mark. I'm Mark's number one.

• 1:01:51Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 1:01:54Speaker 02

  Yeah, Mark, I think.

• 1:01:55Cameron Hanes?

  Me too.

• 1:01:55Speaker 02

I think there's just so much, even as an athlete, he's obviously a legend, but just his character as a person as well, is something I think that's super inspiring.

• 1:02:05Cameron Hanes?

As I've said before, I mean, he could be my kid and I want to be more like him.

• 1:02:11Cameron Hanes?

I have no idea how you can be that smart, well-rounded, just have a, just a great.

• 1:02:17Speaker 02

  Well-spoken.

• 1:02:18Cameron Hanes?

  Mindset.

• 1:02:19Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:02:19Cameron Hanes?

And be 27 years old. Fuck you.

• 1:02:22Speaker 02

Yeah, it's not me. Yeah, fuck you, Mark.

• 1:02:24Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, Mark, show off. No, I want to get, I want, want to get Mark on the podcast for sure.

• 1:02:29Speaker 02

We got a lot of people we need to get on the podcast.

• 1:02:31Cameron Hanes?

So why don't you facilitate that, too?

• 1:02:33Speaker 02

  Okay, I will.

• 1:02:34Cameron Hanes?

  Do it.

• 1:02:35Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:02:35Cameron Hanes?

  Do it.

• 1:02:37Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I don't know what we got coming up next. Uh, I think Prefontaine.

• 1:02:42Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:02:43Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 1:02:43Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 1:02:44Cameron Hanes?

  But.

• 1:02:45Speaker 02

So yeah, Marco asked if I was gonna be there. And I said, I don't know. Or if we were gonna be there, I said, I don't know.

• 1:02:50Cameron Hanes?

Oh, yeah, I gotta get, I can get tickets or unless I'm banned from that, too. We'll see what you saw this as.

• 1:02:56Speaker 02

Yeah. I don't know if he wanted me to take photos or something, but.

• 1:02:59Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, I mean, I know he was, he loved your photos.

• 1:03:01Speaker 02

Yeah, that's good. I'm glad, glad he could have some.

• 1:03:04Cameron Hanes?

  My photos.

• 1:03:04Speaker 02

  Your self timers.

• 1:03:05Cameron Hanes?

Yeah, not yours, but, but yeah.

• 1:03:08Speaker 02

I didn't have the heart to tell him.

• 1:03:10Cameron Hanes?

I think, um, I think we might, might do Diamond this week.

• 1:03:17Cameron Hanes?

I was thinking about doing that a couple of times, maybe. But you've never been up there. You need to get up there.

• 1:03:22Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:23Cameron Hanes?

And that plus for your little fucking thing, you need to get ready.

• 1:03:26Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:27Cameron Hanes?

  Maybe that'd be good. Maybe.

• 1:03:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:03:29Cameron Hanes?

Got some shitty weather, but, um.

• 1:03:32Speaker 02

Shitty weather would make it fun.

• 1:03:34Cameron Hanes?

It would. Yeah, I want, it's, it's a, it's a nice little grind and nobody's ever up there because it's so far off the highway. It's just hard to get to.

• 1:03:41Speaker 02

  Yeah, that'd be fun.

• 1:03:43Cameron Hanes?

I talked to this guy at church that, uh, he tried to get to the summit and he was asking, they came in from the rock pile. And, uh, yeah, just, there's just not a great trail up there. It's not like the South Sister Trail that a million people go up. But, uh, yeah, let's go do that.

• 1:04:02Speaker 02

I saw the Grand T town got hammered with snow yesterday.

• 1:04:05Cameron Hanes?

Did it? Ah, that's not great.

• 1:04:07Speaker 02

  No, but it'll melt, hopefully.

• 1:04:09Cameron Hanes?

It should. I mean, it's fucking June.

• 1:04:11Speaker 02

Yeah, but the temps are staying really cold up there. It's like highs of like high forties.

• 1:04:16Cameron Hanes?

  Is it 13,000?

• 1:04:18Speaker 02

  Yeah, 13,700.

• 1:04:19Cameron Hanes?

And you say that top is pretty, is it technical?

• 1:04:23Speaker 02

Uh, there's a couple, yeah, there's a couple of sections that are like, for someone who's not used to exposure, you might shit your pants, but the handholds and the foot placements are all good.

• 1:04:31Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 1:04:31Speaker 02

But it's considered real climbing. Like it's graded real climbing.

• 1:04:35Cameron Hanes?

  It's normally it's a coming down.

• 1:04:37Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:04:37Cameron Hanes?

Cause going up is like, you can take your time. You got gravity can help you get, but coming down is where people.

• 1:04:43Speaker 02

My only worry is just like, I want to get up there early enough. Like I'm starting at 2am because I don't want to deal with the fucking string of people.

• 1:04:49Cameron Hanes?

  Mm hmm.

• 1:04:49Speaker 02

I mean, having to weave around people doing that is, well, it's not gonna be fun.

• 1:04:54Cameron Hanes?

What time are you gonna go?

• 1:04:55Speaker 02

  2am.

• 1:04:55Cameron Hanes?

  2, yeah.

• 1:04:56Speaker 02

So that should put me at the summit at like 10am.

• 1:04:59Cameron Hanes?

  Hmm.

• 1:05:00Speaker 02

  So.

• 1:05:00Cameron Hanes?

I'd say most people probably start early, right?

• 1:05:03Speaker 02

Yeah. Most people go up and sleep on the marane or in the guide little yurts.

• 1:05:08Cameron Hanes?

  Right.

• 1:05:09Speaker 02

  And then they start. So.

• 1:05:10Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 1:05:11Speaker 02

  We'll see.

• 1:05:11Cameron Hanes?

Yeah. Like on the South Sister, did you see people going early?

• 1:05:16Speaker 02

  No.

• 1:05:16Cameron Hanes?

  Nobody?

• 1:05:17Speaker 02

I mean, I had to sum it to myself.

• 1:05:18Cameron Hanes?

  Okay.

• 1:05:19Speaker 02

  Yeah. Which was super nice.

• 1:05:20Cameron Hanes?

It was quiet that day up there.

• 1:05:22Speaker 02

I saw, I've seen videos of it since because my algorithm listens to me. And it like packed with people and I'm like, man, how nice was it that we had the whole, pretty much the whole thing to ourself?

• 1:05:31Cameron Hanes?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:32Speaker 02

  Pretty cool.

• 1:05:32Cameron Hanes?

  Pretty sick.

• 1:05:33Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:05:33Cameron Hanes?

  But all right, well, that's a, that's a shit talkers 30.

• 1:05:39Speaker 02

That was one of our longer ones.

• 1:05:40Cameron Hanes?

  Was it?

• 1:05:41Speaker 02

I think it was over an hour. So.

• 1:05:44Cameron Hanes?

Had a lot of, lot of shit to cover.

• 1:05:45Speaker 02

I know. A lot of shit to talk.

• 1:05:48Cameron Hanes?

All right, guys. So smash that comment button.

• 1:05:52Speaker 02

  Smash the like button.

• 1:05:53Cameron Hanes?

Spooge all over the like button. Let's get some comments we could discuss on there.

• 1:05:57Speaker 02

  Send us pictures of your.

• 1:06:00Cameron Hanes?

  Mess. No, don't fuck.

• 1:06:02Speaker 02

  Don't.

• 1:06:02Cameron Hanes?

  Please don't.

• 1:06:03Speaker 02

  Please don't.

• 1:06:04Cameron Hanes?

All right, guys. See you next time. Keep hammering.

• 1:06:09Cameron Hanes?

Out in the mountains, there's no room for weak gear. When I'm packing out meat in the heat or loading up for a long range training trip, I need a cooler that holds the line every time. That's why I use Grizzly coolers. These things are bear proof, rugged as hell, and keep ice locked in for days, literally. I've had coolers on the trail, baking in the sun, still holding ice after hauling out elk quarters. That's performance you can count on. Whether you're running deep in the back country or just stacking meat for the weekend, Grizzly is built for that grind. Right now, you can get 20% off at grizzlycoolers.com with the code KEEP HAMMERING.

• 1:06:52Cameron Hanes?

And that's all one word. And I'm not going to spell it. Keep hammering. Again, keep hammering. One word for 20% off. Don't roll with weak gear. Go Grizzly.
