Hey, can you come pick me up? Yeah, what's wrong? Nothing. Are you sure? Yeah, no, I just need a ride. Oh, my God. So, I just want to have fun. Start your engines. Hi, Jeff.

• 0:45Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:46Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:48Benito Skinner?

  And this?

• 0:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Is?

• 0:49Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning.

• 0:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning.

• 0:57Benito Skinner?

So, I can't even... I do think I'm pretty early to this.

• 1:01Mary Beth Barone?

You think that? And then on my page today, it was all fan cams of her.

• 1:05Benito Skinner?

  Damn it!

• 1:06Mary Beth Barone?

Saying, "Morning." Morning. It says, "Sauvignon crème, chaise année."

• 1:13Mary Beth Barone?

Thank you. Morning. So, do you want to explain it a little bit?

• 1:17Benito Skinner?

Yeah, can you bring up the name of the girl? Because I actually really want to make sure the credit is given where it's due.

• 1:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Here's... and here's...

• 1:23Benito Skinner?

  Boom.

• 1:23Mary Beth Barone?

Sorry, I was just watching our TikTok. Oh, I found it. Her name is Nina.

• 1:27Benito Skinner?

  It is what it does.

• 1:27Mary Beth Barone?

So, it's at Nina Humphrey with two As. And she's basically taking Snapchat filters and making them into characters. I will play this if you want.

• 1:37Benito Skinner?

So, turn your life and make it art.

• 1:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Turn your life?

• 1:41Benito Skinner?

I just... turn your life and make it art.

• 1:44Mary Beth Barone?

What should I say? "Nigh." "Nigh."

• 1:51Benito Skinner?

  Morning.

• 1:53Mary Beth Barone?

The thing with these Snapchat filters is there's no remnant of what the person's actual face looks like. It's like you are just a different person.

• 2:00Benito Skinner?

I thought, like, in the options that she's super greedy, like, I will say this is gonna be hard to monetize. Can I just say, this is gonna be tricky?

• 2:06Mary Beth Barone?

Well, she's doing, she's doing a bunch of the filters and doing them as characters.

• 2:10Benito Skinner?

I saw, which, she's so talented. I mean, I'm like completely-

• 2:12Mary Beth Barone?

So she'll, she'll probably come out as a right-wing influencer in the next two to three weeks.

• 2:16Benito Skinner?

  Soon.

• 2:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 2:17Benito Skinner?

Remember when Plain Lady, remember when Plain Lady lit down all the gig, guys? Also, I've been working this morning, like, I, I did a, I did a brand activation.

• 2:27Benito Skinner?

And so I'm like, my words are gonna be caught in my low back and probably my butt. So you just have to go with it today. And to that, I say, "Morning."

• 2:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning.

• 2:36Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God. Today, I was working with Kitty Jane Hughes.

• 2:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning.

• 2:40Benito Skinner?

I would not stop making her say-

• 2:42Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 2:42Benito Skinner?

  "Morning."

• 2:43Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm sure she loved that.

• 2:44Benito Skinner?

Well, she had a British accent. She's, I mean, she is British, so it was really, you know, she gets happen to it easily.

• 2:48Mary Beth Barone?

I like identifying people as having a British accent instead of identifying them as British.

• 2:52Benito Skinner?

Oh, yeah, so she has a British accent.

• 2:54Mary Beth Barone?

So she has a British accent.

• 2:56Benito Skinner?

Wait, that's so true. Like, that's how my brain just did it. This morning, I was like, well, she has a British accent.

• 3:00Mary Beth Barone?

  I like that.

• 3:00Benito Skinner?

That's such an actor of me. Do you understand?

• 3:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 3:03Benito Skinner?

Because I'm like, looking at like, these specific things I can latch on to.

• 3:06Mary Beth Barone?

So I have bangs. This is my bang reveal on the podcast. I posted on TikTok, like, oh, this is your sign to get bangs, because I was feeling toxic that day.

• 3:13Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:13Mary Beth Barone?

And someone commented, "Are the bangs in the room with us?"

• 3:16Benito Skinner?

  Oh, wow.

• 3:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Wow.

• 3:18Benito Skinner?

Oh, shit, you really got her.

• 3:19Mary Beth Barone?

Um, I bet you're fun at parties.

• 3:21Benito Skinner?

Yeah. And to that, you just said, "My dad died."

• 3:24Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Wait, no, say more things.

• 3:27Benito Skinner?

Yeah, no, this I got to hear.

• 3:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Please.

• 3:28Benito Skinner?

Remember when that guy was mad at you because you didn't go to a, a stand-up comedy set?

• 3:33Mary Beth Barone?

It wasn't stand-up. For the record, it was a staged reading of a reality show from the early 2000s. It wasn't even like, I was gonna freestyle on the beat.

• 3:41Benito Skinner?

  And say that.

• 3:42Mary Beth Barone?

And he was so furious with me. He sent me the longest DM and wanted a $10 Venmo for the White Claw that he bought.

• 3:47Benito Skinner?

And you said, "Morning." I'm actually going through a lot right now.

• 3:50Mary Beth Barone?

  I said, "Hmm." Hmm.

• 3:53Benito Skinner?

I love that you're wearing this shirt.

• 3:55Mary Beth Barone?

The shirt that you bought me.

• 3:56Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:56Mary Beth Barone?

Cause you know me so well.

• 3:57Benito Skinner?

Where do I get this shirt? I was at a Boise thrift store and they had a Hilary Duff tour 2005. And it really took my breath away because I went AM buying it for Mary Beth. But it was the first concert I went to.

• 4:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Wow.

• 4:08Benito Skinner?

  It was that concert.

• 4:09Mary Beth Barone?

You know, I saw her on tour as well.

• 4:10Benito Skinner?

  Most wanted.

• 4:11Mary Beth Barone?

I believe it was wherever your New Jersey football team plays. Wherever New Jersey football team plays.

• 4:16Benito Skinner?

God, you don't. Oh, I got this one.

• 4:19Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, me, me, me. I know.

• 4:20Benito Skinner?

So this thing has happened. There's been a shift in my life and I'm so happy. But it's, there's something really incredible about being at a Hudson News in Chicago and having someone come up behind you. I would say just close enough where I can feel your breath.

• 4:34Mary Beth Barone?

  Feel the breath, yeah.

• 4:34Benito Skinner?

And have them say, this chick woke up in my house. Like, it gave me goosebumps in the best way. Thank you. I, I'm so.

• 4:40Mary Beth Barone?

Here's what's hard about it. First of all, I love how excited everyone is.

• 4:43Benito Skinner?

You changed my life, Mary Beth. I mean, you like, you're the one who pointed this one out.

• 4:47Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm always pushing you.

• 4:48Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 4:48Mary Beth Barone?

I'm always pushing, I'm a pusher, Katie. So the problem, the problem with making this into merch, which we asked for merch ideas from you guys and wow, were they completely insane. Anklits was a suggestion.

• 5:02Benito Skinner?

  Period.

• 5:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Just anklets.

• 5:03Benito Skinner?

  Not even a period.

• 5:04Mary Beth Barone?

And juicy tracksuits. I go, now how are we gonna do that?

• 5:08Benito Skinner?

  Definitely.

• 5:08Mary Beth Barone?

Do we look like Pam and Jella?

• 5:10Benito Skinner?

You know what? We're actually gonna find a supplier.

• 5:12Mary Beth Barone?

  We're gonna find a supplier.

• 5:13Benito Skinner?

Imagine you and I are like, we're traveling the world, like throughout.

• 5:16Mary Beth Barone?

  And we're looking at textiles.

• 5:18Benito Skinner?

  We're first touching fabrics.

• 5:19Mary Beth Barone?

We're feeling the lore and Terry.

• 5:20Benito Skinner?

We're like, no, I wanna feel, the zipper has to, I, it needs to, I don't like that zipper manufacturer. We get sued.

• 5:26Mary Beth Barone?

We get sued, we're in jail. We're in a Thai jail. I don't know why it's in Thailand, but we are.

• 5:29Benito Skinner?

  We are.

• 5:30Mary Beth Barone?

So this chick woke up in my house. It's hard to put that on a T-shirt because it's like, we're talking about this chick, right? But then it's my house.

• 5:37Benito Skinner?

Thus why I said the arrow. Because it's like, this one over to my left, this chick woke up in my house. It's her.

• 5:44Mary Beth Barone?

But then you have to buy that for someone to wear for you, that you, comma, the chick.

• 5:49Benito Skinner?

No, but it's funny, it's whoever you're by, that's just funny that you'll be next to them and have the arrow. It's a play on the arrow tee.

• 5:54Mary Beth Barone?

  I see, okay.

• 5:55Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 5:55Mary Beth Barone?

  No, totally, totally.

• 5:56Benito Skinner?

  That's my big thing.

• 5:57Mary Beth Barone?

No, you wanna do a play? And one of the suggestions was, do a play on the arrow tee.

• 6:01Benito Skinner?

Exactly. You know what? I will say I got a huge amount of people who wanted the pin. I think it's actually gonna be a big button. Or at this point, there's so much excitement for it. I think it should be a bucket hat, like a rain bucket hat. And it said, Mary Beth Barone, let me piss on her.

• 6:15Mary Beth Barone?

No one is gonna wear that.

• 6:16Benito Skinner?

  Sweetie.

• 6:17Mary Beth Barone?

Do you understand that no one's gonna wear that?

• 6:19Benito Skinner?

Sweetie, we didn't think Shysten McGwaggen was gonna hit.

• 6:22Mary Beth Barone?

  That's true.

• 6:22Benito Skinner?

And now what is every woman saying as she orgasms?

• 6:25Mary Beth Barone?

  She's saying Shysten McGwaggen.

• 6:27Benito Skinner?

  So, Kiplunk.

• 6:32Benito Skinner?

  You guys, I, I think.

• 6:34Mary Beth Barone?

Before, before we get into this.

• 6:36Benito Skinner?

I think I'm trying to get rid of them. I think I'm trying, I'm trying to prove a point of how far I can take my kids.

• 6:44Mary Beth Barone?

Can I just say one thing first? Which is that we did record an episode that's never gonna see the light of day. And the only reason I wanna say it right now is because we keep forgetting to talk about it.

• 6:53Benito Skinner?

  I just choked.

• 6:53Mary Beth Barone?

Benny and I bitched for 45 minutes on Zoom about work. And then we decided to record an episode. It is so bad. It's not funny.

• 7:02Benito Skinner?

Do you know, I think it's the saddest day of the year for me. When I think about it, it's the saddest I've been all year. And we were about to do it. And then you, I mean, we were just not, it was not okay. And then we do it. And after it, the rest of the day, I kept thinking to myself, ew, I don't know if that would be fun to listen to.

• 7:18Mary Beth Barone?

Neither of us wanted to say anything because we love each other so much.

• 7:20Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 7:21Mary Beth Barone?

But we both thought that's not gonna go to air.

• 7:23Benito Skinner?

Do you know what we each think? And maybe you didn't, hey, I'm not gonna speak for you. But I was like, she said so many funny things. I don't wanna like, but.

• 7:31Mary Beth Barone?

  No, I wasn't thinking that.

• 7:33Benito Skinner?

No, I was thinking that maybe you thought that I had said a lot of funny things.

• 7:35Mary Beth Barone?

You did, and you described the dress in and just like that, which I really wanted to have on the record. That was a big part of the episode that I was like, we're never gonna probably talk about that again. But it just, it is crazy to know. It's the first time we've ever left an episode on the cutting room floor. And then before we talk about Kiplunk, I also did wanna say.

• 7:54Mary Beth Barone?

  I just wanted.

• 7:55Benito Skinner?

  Sorry, this chick.

• 7:56Mary Beth Barone?

Woke up in my house. I just wanted to say that on the issue of disclaimers, because it was mentioned on the Reddit. Here's what I'll say about disclaimers.

• 8:02Benito Skinner?

  Someone did send me that.

• 8:03Mary Beth Barone?

We hold a mirror up to society. If you don't like what you see, change it. We're reflecting it back at you. And if you want to know why we put disclaimers on every, if you want to know, and we're not cutting that. I just fumbled and I'm hu- human. If you want.

• 8:17Benito Skinner?

  Unusual.

• 8:17Mary Beth Barone?

Unusual. And I'll, I'll talk about the origin of unusual later, but if you want to know why we do disclaimers on everything, look at the last few posts on the Reddit. One was about the length of the episodes and one was about an ad-free version. People are attacking each other in the comments where it's just like, can you just assume that these questions are coming from a good place? And everybody wants us to succeed and thrive. And if you can't do that, and if you look at these comments, you will see why we put a disclaimer. Because the last thing we want to do is like alienate our audience.

• 8:44Benito Skinner?

I will say, I'm seeing this in the news right now of Sarah Jessica Parker. Have you seen this? Where there's kind of like this fake news going around of fake news. This is Benny Drama.

• 8:53Mary Beth Barone?

Hit the fake news. Hit the fake news button.

• 8:56Benito Skinner?

Oh God, I love that button. Where they're trying to like make it into Sarah Jessica Parker, like feverishly trying to pitch and just like that to all these other networks. Because she hates HBO so much. And I'm just like, I don't know how to tell you this. There is no fucking way that's true. Like, I'm just like, this is insane. And I just think at a certain point, it's like, I think we do this because I think there is a natural tendency. And I do think that because of the world we live in, it's like, everyone must have the worst intentions, be an absolute psychopath. And a nightmare and, you know, and be uneducated and ignorant and hateful. And it's like, I get it. But that's why we do them. Because honestly, not everyone listening to the podcast has heard everything else.

• 9:37Mary Beth Barone?

  That's the other thing.

• 9:38Benito Skinner?

Things with history or context. It would happen with my videos all the time.

• 9:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 9:42Benito Skinner?

It's literally why I think it's really hard for me to ever think about getting excited about making sketches anymore. Because yeah, there was a time where people thought I worked at the White House. So I, it's just at a certain point, it's like, should I start everything by being like?

• 9:56Mary Beth Barone?

  This is a joke?

• 9:58Benito Skinner?

And that's why overcompensating felt so good. I just think that there are some media that people are coming to with either history or a knowledge of like, this is creation.

• 10:08Mary Beth Barone?

When I heard it and just like that was ending, the first thing I thought was, come on, complex.

• 10:14Benito Skinner?

Come on, Kerplunk! So, I was in a bathroom with a friend and it was divided.

• 10:23Mary Beth Barone?

It was a male friend. I just wanna be clear.

• 10:25Benito Skinner?

It was a male friend. It was not Mary Beth. She would never do something like this. But I was in a bathroom with a friend and I was looking in the mirror and they were in a stall and they shit and there was a sound and I couldn't help it. I just like had this moment and I just said,

• 10:43Benito Skinner?

"I'm gonna wet my pants." Come on, Kerplunk!

• 10:49Benito Skinner?

Come on, Kerplunk! It's, it's like, we talked about it last night. It's like toxic positivity brain rot to such a degree.

• 11:01Mary Beth Barone?

  No, it's honestly really scary.

• 11:02Benito Skinner?

Come on, Kerplunk! Yes, Kerplunk! I, I couldn't, we laughed so hard. I heard him laughing in the stall. I'll never tell you who this is. He would kill me. We were laughing so hard. He was just like, if someone did that to me, who wasn't you? I would never speak to them again. But it was like, and it's just, "Come on, Kerplunk!"

• 11:27Mary Beth Barone?

It's so, I can't, the word, I can't even say what it is. You know what I mean? There's no word in English for it.

• 11:33Benito Skinner?

When I texted him later, all caps, in the invisible thing and it said, "Come on, Kerplunk." K E R P L U N K.

• 11:41Mary Beth Barone?

  U N K, obviously.

• 11:41Benito Skinner?

Kerplunk. I just wanna make sure you have it, just in case when you send it to me, but welcome to the Kerplunk era.

• 11:48Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 11:49Benito Skinner?

  Morning.

• 11:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning! So.

• 11:51Benito Skinner?

This one's gonna be hard. I know it's not for everybody.

• 11:54Mary Beth Barone?

Kerplunk falls into gas leak era in a huge way. The gas leak era is more like a tree, I would say.

• 11:59Benito Skinner?

Brony H Q is gonna make the tree of the gas leak. Well, it's a plume. It's a smoke plume of gas.

• 12:04Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, it's from, it's a mushroom cloud. And it's infecting all of us in really cool and different ways.

• 12:11Benito Skinner?

  Come on, Kerplunk!

• 12:12Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, it is objectively funny. I can't say that it's not.

• 12:16Benito Skinner?

Thank you. So, I will say.

• 12:17Mary Beth Barone?

  I can't say that it's not.

• 12:19Benito Skinner?

I took Mary Beth to dinner last night. We had a little date night. We got sexy for each other. I'm not kidding. And I kept saying it throughout the night and there were a few times in the conversation where you ignored it.

• 12:28Mary Beth Barone?

  Well, because, you know.

• 12:30Benito Skinner?

  Come on, Kirkplug.

• 12:31Mary Beth Barone?

There were just times where we were talking about something serious and then you would say, "Come on, Kirkplug."

• 12:36Benito Skinner?

Yes, Kirkplug. And say that, Kirkplug. Yeah.

• 12:42Benito Skinner?

  Article, Farticle, Sharticle, Barticle.

• 14:26Mary Beth Barone?

It seems like everything is connected to your gut microbiome. I mean, am I not always saying that?

• 14:31Benito Skinner?

Well, I just said that at a party. I walked into a kitchen and people were all looking for cups. And I said, it seems like everything is connected to your gut microbiome. But fact is, we're learning so much about how the gut microbiome is key to our mental health, immunity, and of course, digestion. Can I also say skin?

  Porn.

• 16:25Mary Beth Barone?

  True or false?

• 16:26Benito Skinner?

Porn. I know that none of you watch porn.

• 16:28Mary Beth Barone?

Can you say that in parentheses, it's this tongue-in-cheek?

• 16:31Benito Skinner?

  Look at me.

• 16:31Mary Beth Barone?

I want to give people a peek behind the curtain. It's like going to Oz, see the wizard.

• 16:35Benito Skinner?

Oh my god, totally. When Jeff Goldblum comes out of nowhere and goes, "Oh, it's just you, Elphaba."

• 16:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 16:41Benito Skinner?

I know that none of you watch porn, but just in case you have any friends that do, help me pass along this important PSA. Incognito mode does not make you incognito. Check the fine print. All your late-night activities, you little nasty motherfucker, are still 100% visible to a ton of third parties. The government's watching, unless you use ExpressVPN.

• 17:05Mary Beth Barone?

I guess they don't know that a lot of freelancers listen to Ride, so they're having their late-night activities at all times of day.

• 17:10Benito Skinner?

Netflix hides content from you based on your location. ExpressVPN lets you change your online location so you can control where you want Netflix to think you're located. I guess I'm in Georgia.

Oh, yeah! Do you remember when I used it in Montreal?

• 17:36Mary Beth Barone?

Yes, to watch In Just Like That. And when I used it to watch Love Island when I was dating a British person.

• 17:58Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I would like to say a couple of things first.

• 18:01Benito Skinner?

  Great.

• 18:02Mary Beth Barone?

One is that, so we've talked about this on the podcast, which is the tweet that I saw that said, "The middle by Zedd and Maren Morris was 9/11 for retail workers." And I am reminded, due to this TikTok trend that we did at dinner, which is using a song from Lemonade. I actually worked at SoulCycle when Lemonade came out, in the studio. So I just want to say that Beyoncé's Lemonade was 9/11 for SoulCycle workers. And I'm not saying I don't like the music. I actually love the music.

• 18:31Benito Skinner?

  It's a fabulous album.

• 18:32Mary Beth Barone?

It's like one of the true pieces of art, I would say, like, from this generation. But I heard the songs enough that they would appear in my nightmares.

• 18:42Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 18:42Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 18:43Benito Skinner?

You know what's funny? I recently had to buy Tidal again to watch Lemonade. You can't watch it anywhere.

• 18:49Mary Beth Barone?

It was on HBO for a while, I thought.

• 18:50Benito Skinner?

I know, and I couldn't find it on HBO Max.

• 18:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my god.

• 18:54Benito Skinner?

So I went on HBO Max, but I couldn't find it. So then I had to get title. So now I have title in case anyone wants to use my login.

• 19:00Mary Beth Barone?

  For title?

• 19:01Benito Skinner?

Yeah, for title. It's kind of like not cheap, but there was something that they did that was like actually like helpful to producers. I think they like paid them adequately, but yeah, it just seemed insane that that was the only place I could find it. But I did watch it again and it's really crazy because it's one of those things where you feel the time period. Like it actually really took me back to 2016, which was helpful for overcompensating.

• 19:27Benito Skinner?

But that was what was cool, I think.

• 19:30Mary Beth Barone?

That was the what year is it?

• 19:31Benito Skinner?

Go back to, yeah. It was a button. I didn't do that. I didn't do that. But to go back in time to see like how every single thing she did in Lemonade became like a full trend. Like the trickle down of that into what women wear to weddings. Do you know what I mean? Like watching that was so, it like kind of blew me away. I don't know. I just.

• 19:52Mary Beth Barone?

It's the culture to this day.

• 19:53Benito Skinner?

Oh, how I've missed you, man. Come on.

• 19:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Come on.

• 20:01Benito Skinner?

  Shit.

• 20:02Mary Beth Barone?

So let's talk about the scene in And Just Like That.

• 20:05Benito Skinner?

So, and I'm actually glad that we're doing it now and not in, what are we gonna call that? The vault?

• 20:10Mary Beth Barone?

It's the vault. It's the Disney vault.

• 20:11Benito Skinner?

It's the Disney vault episode, and this one's never opening. Oh, one day I want to ride for the Disney secrets. Yeah. Take off your clothes.

• 20:18Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, and when my friend fell in the manhole. Well, not my friend, a friend of someone I dated fell in a manhole at Disney. An uncovered manhole.

• 20:26Benito Skinner?

Oh, so that'll be the same episode?

• 20:27Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, because it's a Disney secret in a way.

• 20:29Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:30Mary Beth Barone?

She, she fell down an uncovered manhole and got electrocuted. I maybe have talked about this already.

• 20:35Benito Skinner?

  Haven't heard.

• 20:35Mary Beth Barone?

And she woke up in Disney jail.

• 20:37Benito Skinner?

They said, you're not gonna say anything about what happened today, are you? It was Walt.

• 20:42Mary Beth Barone?

It was Walt. They woke him up from being cryogenically frozen.

• 20:46Benito Skinner?

  He's still alive, dude.

• 20:46Mary Beth Barone?

  He's in a Disney vault.

• 20:47Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:48Mary Beth Barone?

  There's no movies in there.

• 20:49Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 20:49Mary Beth Barone?

He wanted the vault to himself.

• 20:51Benito Skinner?

Selfish. So that's our big Walt bit. We're gonna tour it. So, And Just Like That. The woman wondered what the fuck she had gotten herself into.

• 21:05Mary Beth Barone?

At the Geneva Convention, by the way.

• 21:07Benito Skinner?

I do think the last two episodes are very come on Kerplunk. Like, I do think some of the, like, Gen Z'ers would say, come on Kerplunk.

• 21:14Mary Beth Barone?

  To Epcot?

• 21:15Benito Skinner?

Yeah, to Epcot, which I'm like, so they really didn't ask you to read for Epcot, huh?

• 21:20Mary Beth Barone?

I didn't get an audition for Epcot.

• 21:21Benito Skinner?

God damn it, I didn't either. I didn't get an audition for the gay guy who was voguing at Thanksgiving, and I'm pissed. He was wearing a denim corset. I'm like, well, I would have loved that. I would have eaten that up.

• 21:30Mary Beth Barone?

I have to imagine we weren't available.

• 21:32Benito Skinner?

  Totally.

• 21:32Mary Beth Barone?

They didn't avail check and we weren't available.

• 21:34Benito Skinner?

  We're in Toronto.

• 21:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 21:35Benito Skinner?

Toronto. So here's this spectacular moment, and I honestly, like, I could just ride for it, but I, why not just do it in the intro? So this episode, I believe it's 10 out of 12, if I'm correct, but if not, I know you'll figure it out. So we've kind of had this whole season of kind of getting gooned in a way by

• 21:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Well, they won't they?

• 21:59Benito Skinner?

  by Deacon Duncan Reeves.

• 22:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 22:01Benito Skinner?

  Is it Reeves?

• 22:02Mary Beth Barone?

  It's Duncan Reeves, yeah.

• 22:03Benito Skinner?

So it's Duncan Reeves, who has just electrified me in a way. I mean, to me, it's Carrie's hottest. This is her hottest bag.

• 22:12Mary Beth Barone?

It's hard for me to say because I'm a Justin Theroux, John Slattery type of gal.

• 22:16Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 22:17Mary Beth Barone?

Duncan certainly has a place in the top five.

• 22:19Benito Skinner?

And me too, can I just say, but Duncan, I just, there's something about, I know you in British accents right now. He, so this man has a British accent.

• 22:27Mary Beth Barone?

So he has a British accent. We're not sure where he's from, but he has a British accent.

• 22:30Benito Skinner?

And every day he'd say to Carrie, "Morning."

• 22:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Morning.

• 22:33Benito Skinner?

  "Morning, take your heels off."

• 22:34Mary Beth Barone?

What is it? Strawberries and cream calzone?

• 22:37Benito Skinner?

Strawberries and cream calzone. Thank you.

• 22:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Thank you.

• 22:41Benito Skinner?

  I should I say, "No."

• 22:42Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 22:43Benito Skinner?

No. So, so that's him, that's very him. This electrifying scene happens, and I just want to describe it to you if you haven't seen it yet, because like, I think I could paint it a good enough picture. We start this episode and Aiden's gone. He, no longer.

• 23:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Finally.

• 23:00Benito Skinner?

You, you broke my heart! I want to make that merch, but I think it'd be illegal.

• 23:04Mary Beth Barone?

  I think so too.

• 23:05Benito Skinner?

You broke my heart, Carrie! Remember when he licked his paw?

• 23:10Mary Beth Barone?

Stop, stop. We're not talking about that right now.

• 23:12Benito Skinner?

  And played with his kitty?

• 23:12Mary Beth Barone?

We're not talking about that right now.

• 23:13Benito Skinner?

So Carrie gets invited to a publishing event, or a book event for Deacon Duncan Reeves' publisher.

• 23:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 23:21Benito Skinner?

And he's like, oh, you know, do you want to come? Like, and she's like, well, yes. Like, I think she really does. And what I love about all this, and I'm just gonna spoil it, I love that Aiden was like, I can tell you wanna fuck this guy. And Carrie's like, we're done. And then she fucked him. Like, that's incredible. That's Carrie Bradshaw, and that's iconic. So that's Sex in the City. And just like that, Aiden was right.

• 23:42Mary Beth Barone?

You have Sex in the City? We have Sex in the City from the movie, from the finale.

• 23:47Benito Skinner?

We would have eaten that part. We thought party dinner for you.

• 23:50Mary Beth Barone?

You said Sex in the City. We have Sex in the City.

• 23:55Benito Skinner?

Sex in cities. And then at dinner, they had the book there and got wine stains all over it.

• 23:59Mary Beth Barone?

Well, that actually was one of the most infuriating plotlines ever. I'm like, just call the restaurant. Just tell them you're gonna be late.

• 24:07Benito Skinner?

  No.

• 24:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Anyway.

• 24:08Benito Skinner?

That scene where it's a bell and it's bad boy. That song playing, I literally, every time that plays, I'm complete, my body is chills. I will say, this isn't at that level, but this did give me goosebumps. I was watching Alone, and I did gasp. So, don't laugh at gay guys. It hurts our feelings.

• 24:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay, okay, sorry.

• 24:25Benito Skinner?

  We get excited.

• 24:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Sorry.

• 24:26Benito Skinner?

This is like the equivalent, what's the thing with, if you ask a straight guy the plot of Dune? This is, or what was your thing? That asking gay guy-

• 24:33Mary Beth Barone?

A gay guy to explain Wicked to you?

• 24:35Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 24:35Mary Beth Barone?

You'll never see a gay guy happier than if you ask him, what's the plot of Wicked?

• 24:39Benito Skinner?

  Only, my equivalent is-

• 24:41Mary Beth Barone?

Not your type of gay. Different type of gay.

• 24:43Benito Skinner?

Hey, I'm not that kind of gay.

• 24:45Mary Beth Barone?

You're more, you know, Sex in the City. Because if you have Sex in the City and we-

• 24:51Benito Skinner?

You have Sex in Cities. All the cities are us, so.

• 24:55Mary Beth Barone?

  You have the sex.

• 24:57Benito Skinner?

We have the sex. I just love their like, we need two Parisian idiots. It's so hot in here. I'm gonna be a full drip sweat at the end. You guys are gonna like it. I had this idea before I came here, where I thought it'd be so funny if we were topless the whole time, and we did a black bar over you.

• 25:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 25:13Benito Skinner?

Probably would never be able to post on YouTube again.

• 25:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Not monetizable.

• 25:17Benito Skinner?

Lips on YouTube. So Carrie gets invited to this event, and she's like- Okay. And then Charlotte comes over and Carrie's talking to her about it and she's like, you know, she has this insane Vivienne Westwood dress, which now that I've, after the episode, I had to research this. It was actually Vivienne's dress. It's archival and it was worn by Vivienne. It was from her collection. It's like spectacular. People call it the Cinderella dress. It's just like, it's corseted and then it has this kind of like tulle skirt. It like kind of nods to classic Carrie Bradshaw. But it's like, it's just absolutely spectacular, this dress. So then we get to the end of the episode and Carrie's walking out and she's in kind of a business suit. She's like a long pencil skirt, sexy, of course.

• 26:01Benito Skinner?

She's in that new hairstyle, which is this kind of part.

• 26:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Side part.

• 26:04Benito Skinner?

Where it's like a little wave and then it gets really big at the end.

• 26:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, I love it.

• 26:08Benito Skinner?

It's something that randomly, and I say this in a nice way. My big caveat.

• 26:12Mary Beth Barone?

I can't wait to hear it.

• 26:13Benito Skinner?

You know, when sometimes they'll pan to the confessionals in the Kardashians and Khloe has like a total hairstyle.

• 26:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 26:20Benito Skinner?

  It's kind of that.

• 26:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 26:21Benito Skinner?

And it's fabulous. So it's that. And then Carrie thinks for a second.

• 26:27Mary Beth Barone?

  She stops, interrupts.

• 26:29Benito Skinner?

Fred again starts to play. She turns. The next scene we get is Deacon Duncan talking to publisher, who we find out later is ex-wife. And Carrie walks in in this fucking dress. She looks unbelievable, like just body.

• 26:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Body.

• 26:49Benito Skinner?

Everyone there is going, I didn't know her body was so tea.

• 26:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 26:52Benito Skinner?

And so, and everyone says that. Come on, Kirkplum. Three people say, come on Kirkplum.

• 26:58Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 26:58Benito Skinner?

So Deacon Duncan's talking to his ex. She sees Carrie walk in. Carrie takes off her jacket and she goes, oh my God, Carrie Bradshaw's here. She never comes to things. She looks incredible.

• 27:11Mary Beth Barone?

She did look incre- I mean, like indescribable.

• 27:14Benito Skinner?

That day on set, she must've just been laughing, very like Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman. She must've just been like, oh my God.

• 27:20Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh my God.

• 27:21Benito Skinner?

I can't believe I'm telling you this. What I've had on my day in. Oh my God. She looked, I mean, it's just phenomenal. It's like true Sex and the City. Like it just, when you've got that dress on, it's so your Alia dress. And when you wear that, I know this exact thing is gonna happen.

• 27:35Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know what I'm gonna wear that to, but I'm excited.

• 27:37Benito Skinner?

Did you see the tweet I sent you?

• 27:38Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 27:38Benito Skinner?

Where someone goes, imagine fumbling Mary Beth Brown.

• 27:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Amplifying.

• 27:44Benito Skinner?

I'm gonna, I'm gonna read down those Twitter and say, couldn't be me. So. This happens after this, obviously Duncan is just like, his jaw's on the floor. He can't believe it. He's like-

• 27:56Mary Beth Barone?

He has no choice but to-

• 27:57Benito Skinner?

He said, "You got me going crazy, girl, and your body's tea. Wait until you see my body, because I, my body's also tea." They go home. He says this thing that actually like makes my spine like feel, it's like ASMR to me. They go back, because he lives in her basement, by the way. He says, oh, just by the way-

• 28:14Mary Beth Barone?

  He lives in her basement.

• 28:16Benito Skinner?

He says, every day when he sits, Carrie goes, "Come out, come out." So he goes, "I'm going back down for that. Would you like to join me?" And this whole season, they've been working on, you know, writing the book, the woman of the book. And he's writing about Margaret Thatcher, of course.

• 28:31Mary Beth Barone?

The other woman of the book.

• 28:32Benito Skinner?

A biography, of course. Well, she's kind of throughout, she kind of permeates the whole show.

• 28:37Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 28:38Benito Skinner?

He says to her, and just to be clear, I'm, I'm done writing for the day.

• 28:44Mary Beth Barone?

Blow my hair back, why don't you?

• 28:47Benito Skinner?

  I was literally like-

• 28:48Mary Beth Barone?

Well, that's the power of fashion, and it's the power of a dress.

• 28:50Benito Skinner?

Exactly. It's the power of dress. It's a power of showing up to something chesty.

• 28:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Speaks volumes.

• 28:56Benito Skinner?

To have chest out. I mean, you know, it's like, you're a lie address. I'd say my equivalent is that tight little black tee you made me buy that one time. And if I whip her out, I'm trying to prove something.

• 29:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Exactly.

• 29:04Benito Skinner?

And at first she says no, and then she gives him that Carrie Bradshaw razzle.

• 29:09Mary Beth Barone?

  The ride of his life.

• 29:10Benito Skinner?

And I'm really, totally, she says that.

• 29:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 29:13Benito Skinner?

Do you want the ride of your life?

• 29:15Mary Beth Barone?

And he says, yes, and I'm done writing for the day. She always sex and sits. Eh, where sex? You have the sex. We have the sex.

• 29:25Benito Skinner?

Can we be them for Halloween?

• 29:26Mary Beth Barone?

  Yep.

• 29:27Benito Skinner?

That's exactly what we're doing in Halloween episode.

• 29:29Mary Beth Barone?

And we carry the book, copy of the book, with a, with a big wine stain on it.

• 29:32Benito Skinner?

  Same. We're the French-

• 29:35Mary Beth Barone?

We're the French Carrie Bradshaw fans.

• 29:37Benito Skinner?

Stood up. Carrie stood us up. So they fuck, and then all of a sudden, he's like smoking a joint after, which I think would kind of disappoint me if that happened, but it is what it is. You know what I mean? I'm, I'd be like, oh, okay.

• 29:49Mary Beth Barone?

The coolest man in the world?

• 29:50Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Guess we're, I guess we're done for the night.

• 29:52Mary Beth Barone?

  Bye. I'm gonna go upstairs.

• 29:54Benito Skinner?

Oh my god. It's like, he has this tan and this beard, and it's just like-

• 29:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Chest hair.

• 29:58Benito Skinner?

And you know, I'm not easy to-

• 30:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Impressed.

• 30:01Benito Skinner?

  Intoxicate.

• 30:01Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 30:02Benito Skinner?

And I'm not just saying that to be like a pick me. I hate that term, by the way.

• 30:05Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, God, same. I would say if you have an event coming up and you're not sure if you should wear the dress.

• 30:09Benito Skinner?

  Wear the dress.

• 30:10Mary Beth Barone?

Whatever your equivalent is of the dress, wear the dress and just see how it pans out for you.

• 30:14Benito Skinner?

What will you be riding for today?

• 30:15Mary Beth Barone?

Today, I'm gonna be riding for that arm vein that guys have.

• 30:19Benito Skinner?

I'll be riding for it. Our producer's laughing. She's loving. She's like, fuck, I love that vein, girl.

• 30:26Mary Beth Barone?

I'm gonna talk about it at length.

• 32:16Mary Beth Barone?

I've been trying to convince my partner we need a new mattress for years. Then one night, they sunk into the saggy dip of our old mattress and hallelujah, they were convinced, just like on a

  Brooklynbedding.com promo code RIDE.

• 33:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Wait, where are we going?

• 33:18Benito Skinner?

  Who cares? Ride!

• 33:20Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, so I'm gonna go first, cuz I have been wanting to talk about this.

• 33:25Benito Skinner?

I'm surprised you can even focus right now cuz I made sure it was big today.

• 33:28Mary Beth Barone?

I know, and thank you. Here's the thing.

• 33:30Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, what's up, sweetie?

• 33:31Mary Beth Barone?

There's the male gaze. No, sorry. No, there's the male gaze.

• 33:35Benito Skinner?

  Keep this.

• 33:36Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, so I get confused. It's like fiction, nonfiction, male gaze, female gaze, like what's happening?

• 33:39Benito Skinner?

  On solo.

• 33:40Mary Beth Barone?

There's the male gaze, obviously, that we're all familiar with. It's like how we see like women in media through the male gaze or whatever. Here's what I would like to propose as a female gaze. That's what happens to me when I see a straight guy in a t-shirt that is actually fitted. And just coming out below the T part of the t-shirt is an arm vein that goes right down the bicep.

• 34:03Benito Skinner?

You know what? I feel like I don't have it today.

• 34:05Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know if you have it today. You have four arm veins and I'm not gonna overlook that.

• 34:09Benito Skinner?

  I wish you wouldn't.

• 34:11Mary Beth Barone?

I'm not gonna overlook it, he said.

• 34:14Benito Skinner?

Because they can be huge for the culture, too.

• 34:16Mary Beth Barone?

  When I see it, though.

• 34:17Benito Skinner?

And I will say, you've been known to be very attracted to a gay man as well.

• 34:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 34:21Benito Skinner?

Because those gays have got this.

• 34:22Mary Beth Barone?

No, it's that guys have, all guys. Well, I actually think it, I think it comes with age. I don't think like guys in their twenties have it. I see it more on like guys who are in their thirties who work out.

• 34:31Benito Skinner?

  Duncan Reeves.

• 34:32Mary Beth Barone?

Duncan Reeves, basically. So time stands still, it's slow motion, I'm just completely mesmerized by this arm vein. There's nothing hotter on a man, in my opinion. Like, it adds so much to the total package to have this one vein. And all I can say is, congratif-ackulations to any woman who is dating a man that has that one arm vein down the bicep. I want fan cams of your guys.

• 34:58Benito Skinner?

I was about to say, I can not imagine the photos we're gonna get, and I'm so excited.

• 35:03Mary Beth Barone?

I want the photos. I was on a walk with [BLEEP], we'll bleep the name, so I don't want any conspiracy theories, but he had the vein, I hadn't seen him in a while, and I just was like, I'm objectifying you.

• 35:14Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 35:14Mary Beth Barone?

  I didn't say that, but.

• 35:16Benito Skinner?

  You should have.

• 35:16Mary Beth Barone?

I know. I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

• 35:19Benito Skinner?

I don't think it would have.

• 35:20Mary Beth Barone?

But it's just like, to me, I'm just like, okay, so let's go to my place.

• 35:25Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 35:25Mary Beth Barone?

  Let's go there really quick.

• 35:27Benito Skinner?

Hey, cute jeans, take mine off me.

• 35:29Mary Beth Barone?

  Please.

• 35:30Benito Skinner?

  Sumi, I wanna be aw.

• 35:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Sumi, I wanna be aw.

• 35:33Benito Skinner?

What I was singing earlier was Audrey, Hobert?

• 35:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Hobert, I think.

• 35:37Benito Skinner?

I love her album, it's so fun. I'm just having a good time with it. I keep listening. I'll tell you my favorites later, I need a couple more weeks with it.

• 35:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 35:43Benito Skinner?

She has got little bops, and everything she writes, I've thought in my head.

• 35:47Mary Beth Barone?

Sumi, you thought, Sumi, I wanna be aw?

• 35:49Benito Skinner?

Well, yeah. Fucking your ex is like, come on, Ig.

• 35:53Mary Beth Barone?

So I'm in my kissing era right now. I'm just, I just wanna kiss. I don't really wanna do anything else. But you can't get a UTI from kissing, and I might have to put that on a bumper sticker. Just think about it. You can't get a UTI from kissing, that's all I'm gonna say.

• 36:07Benito Skinner?

  You can get herpes.

• 36:10Mary Beth Barone?

  Sumi I wanna be. Oh.

• 36:12Benito Skinner?

Sumi I wanna, that's our Sumi button. We didn't sing it.

• 36:14Mary Beth Barone?

No, that was a Sumi button.

• 36:16Benito Skinner?

So, hey, so it's funny when you said that one vein that guys have, I thought to myself.

• 36:21Mary Beth Barone?

  I know what you thought.

• 36:21Benito Skinner?

  Oh shit dude.

• 36:23Mary Beth Barone?

  I know what you thought.

• 36:24Benito Skinner?

I got a vein for you, yeah.

• 36:25Mary Beth Barone?

So that's why I made it, I specified that arm vein. I would say if you have that arm vein, keep up the good work.

• 36:31Benito Skinner?

I will say, if you want to activate it, just do as many curls as possible, or just do as many pushups as possible if you want to activate that vein, you guys. That's my big tip.

• 36:39Mary Beth Barone?

And if I'm seeing that out in public, I'm objectifying and I'm sorry, I'm just only human.

• 36:45Benito Skinner?

You look at them and you go, morning.

• 36:47Mary Beth Barone?

I go, how'd you like to hear morning?

• 36:51Benito Skinner?

Do you want this chick to wake up in your house?

• 36:53Mary Beth Barone?

  Mm-hmm.

• 36:54Benito Skinner?

I can't believe you're coming for my merch with the arrow. I think it's gonna work perfectly.

• 36:57Mary Beth Barone?

I think that could work. I'm just, we gotta make it cute.

• 37:00Benito Skinner?

Yeah, there is something so cool about that. It's my big thing. We have to compliment straight guys every now and then, or they'll kill us.

• 37:05Mary Beth Barone?

That's the thing. That's why I wanted to bring something complimentary. And like you said, gay guys can have it too. And if you're a gay guy who has it, just tell me you're gay. Off the bat, just immediately.

• 37:14Benito Skinner?

  I will soon.

• 37:15Mary Beth Barone?

So that I, come out to me.

• 37:16Benito Skinner?

  I will soon, sweetie.

• 37:17Mary Beth Barone?

Come out to me, I'm gonna be supportive. But yeah, I've never actually dated someone, like boyfriend, girlfriend, that had the arm vein. But I've hooked up with some guys that have. And it looks good. I just can't really say it enough.

• 37:32Benito Skinner?

  Fuck.

• 37:33Mary Beth Barone?

  It looks good.

• 37:33Benito Skinner?

  Come on, come on, goodnight.

• 37:37Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I will say, I'm trying to think of what my equivalent would be.

• 37:42Mary Beth Barone?

  I mean, gay guy.

• 37:43Benito Skinner?

  I do love that vein.

• 37:44Mary Beth Barone?

Do you notice it on guys?

• 37:46Benito Skinner?

What is like my thing that I notice? To me, that part that goes from chest into shoulder is kind of shocking to me.

• 37:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Mm-hmm.

• 37:56Benito Skinner?

I would say, like, that's just gonna like take my breath away, kinda. I sometimes also find back really like shocking to me.

• 38:05Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 38:05Benito Skinner?

  That's just like, whoa.

• 38:06Mary Beth Barone?

  And.

• 38:06Benito Skinner?

Not necessarily a tricep, but just like a back, like a broad back. I'm like, fuck.

• 38:10Mary Beth Barone?

On women, I would say the equivalent, which is it's a little detail. It's when women are wearing a spaghetti strap, bathing suit, top or dress. And their boobs sit in such a way that there's a space between the strap and their like body. Like it's, it's like raised the strap. It's something I can never achieve because my boobs are so small.

• 38:30Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 38:30Mary Beth Barone?

But where you can like, when they move, you can see like through the strap.

• 38:34Benito Skinner?

Oh, now, see, now you've got me. Now I know. It's when you have the, the peck line right there.

• 38:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 38:40Benito Skinner?

  This.

• 38:42Mary Beth Barone?

There is, and it's privilege. It's.

• 38:45Benito Skinner?

  Peck privilege.

• 38:45Mary Beth Barone?

It's peck privilege. It's that arm vein privilege. It's boob privilege. It's like everyone's got privilege. We can acknowledge it. We could talk about it. We can move on. You know what I mean?

• 38:54Benito Skinner?

It's like everyone has their own little thing. Yours is this vein. I don't know if I've ever noticed that vein. I'm like, yeah, that's hot. I don't know if that would be like my first. I mean, girl, I know. I've seen them all. Should we talk about me being a matchmaker?

• 39:06Mary Beth Barone?

I can't wait to get into you being a matchmaker because both of the guys that you've tried to matchmake me with have not texted me.

• 39:12Benito Skinner?

  Make me a match.

• 39:13Mary Beth Barone?

You're giving my phone number out at weddings.

• 39:16Benito Skinner?

Give him that snatch. Okay. What I want to talk about is me as a matchmaker. And before we get into things that yes, are in progress. And yet the seeds are there. The, the groundwork is laid in a way.

• 39:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Come on, Kerplunk.

• 39:33Benito Skinner?

Come on, Kerplunk. That was a good one. Yes, Kerplunk. So.

• 39:41Benito Skinner?

I, years ago, for our Halloween party that we did for Obsx, bleep it. God, the ride Halloween party would go so hard, but we're just kind of busy, kid. We're just a little busy. I love making you smile. You're doing good.

• 39:57Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 39:58Benito Skinner?

  You're doing better.

• 39:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Why would I be? No.

• 40:01Benito Skinner?

  I had fun last night.

• 40:02Mary Beth Barone?

  But I'm here right now, aren't I?

• 40:04Benito Skinner?

I know. We were making each other laugh last night.

• 40:06Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I mean, I laugh. I'm laughing through the pain.

• 40:09Benito Skinner?

I know, sweetie. Your hour is so good.

• 40:12Mary Beth Barone?

  Thanks, honey.

• 40:12Benito Skinner?

Everyone who goes to it tells me how amazing it is. And I go, I know. I go, I know.

• 40:16Mary Beth Barone?

  You go, I know.

• 40:18Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 40:19Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 40:19Benito Skinner?

So years ago, before this Halloween party, my friend Nikki DeRouze, who is a makeup artist, was doing my makeup for that event we had with Kim Petras, where we did the live pod recording. And I was talking to her about the Halloween party, and I said, my friend Kurt was going. Kurt is the designer for Noon Goons. We're obsessed. We love it here. We believe all this, of course. So I, the way I approach as Alex Hitch, that's who I am.

• 40:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Alex Hitchens.

• 40:49Benito Skinner?

Alex Hitchens, if you're nasty. Drop the ins. It's cleaner. So I give more of a, if this sounds nice, I don't say that you'll love each other. Who's to say? I could never predict something like that. But I said, this guy's going. I feel like you guys would maybe have a nice time at a drink, and he's not a killer. You obviously aren't. And I've had a lovely time with this person, and I love you both. So if you want to get a drink before, if anything, like, I can't imagine that you'll hate each other. So, and that's, you know, so bar is on the floor in hell. But I am just kind of like, in my head, I kind of see these two people having a lot in common and really enjoying each other, and I like the energies together. That sounds nice to me.

• 41:32Benito Skinner?

So Nikki and Kurt meet that night. They just had a baby. They just had.

• 41:39Benito Skinner?

Come on, Kurt Blah! Right when she had the baby. Come on, Kurt Blah!

• 41:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Come on, Kurt Blah!

• 41:43Benito Skinner?

I'm so Jude. I mean, I'm just like, I'm completely electrified. So.

• 41:49Mary Beth Barone?

  You're Jude?

• 41:50Benito Skinner?

  His name is Jude.

• 41:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Okay.

• 41:52Benito Skinner?

Which I'm like, that's just, hey Jude, like, that's just, I'm like, completely, yeah, I'm honored. I'm excited. It's like, it's going on the CV.

• 42:00Mary Beth Barone?

  No, it's really fucking amazing.

• 42:01Benito Skinner?

It's crazy. Like, this is my first. This is my first, you know, venture into this. So now I'm entering it with you. I haven't really done anyone since because it hasn't come to me. I don't, it's, it's only when it feels like a lit, I get a little spark of it.

• 42:15Mary Beth Barone?

That's not true. You have match made someone. It's one of our friends with one of my agents, if you recall correctly.

• 42:25Benito Skinner?

  It's not my fault if

• 42:29Mary Beth Barone?

  We're cutting that.

• 42:32Mary Beth Barone?

  We're bleeping that.

• 42:33Benito Skinner?

That's not my fault. I thought vibes were, hey, they had a nice time.

• 42:36Mary Beth Barone?

  They had a nice time.

• 42:37Benito Skinner?

  Exactly.

• 42:38Mary Beth Barone?

They had a nice time. I just needed to call you in and say like, that's not the only time that that's happened.

• 42:43Benito Skinner?

Well, that's not exactly true, Ellen. That's what you just did to me.

• 42:45Mary Beth Barone?

  That's not the truth, Ellen.

• 42:48Benito Skinner?

They really tried to cancel me over that.

• 42:49Mary Beth Barone?

So here's the thing with matchmaking. It's really, and I think you should, I almost think you should take your perfect record, which is like two and two, if you think about, I don't know how you measure the success of the matchmaking, but quit while you're ahead because setting people up with straight men is such a risk. It's something I've done before. I will never do again because I just, it's too risky. Straight guys are so fucking weird.

• 43:10Benito Skinner?

I know, they're freaks, but the one I set up, so there was someone I was with recently and I've only met him a couple of times, but I was like, he's really nice and I enjoy him. And you had told me all you wanted to be was held. So I was like, I feel like he'd do a good job.

• 43:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 43:23Benito Skinner?

  He has that on.

• 43:23Mary Beth Barone?

He has the vein and it was just killing me.

• 43:25Benito Skinner?

I know, God. And he hasn't come through yet, but I'm not writing him off yet. I think he's traveling a lot. So here's my thing. It just

• 43:33Mary Beth Barone?

If he wanted to, he would, is all I'm gonna say. If he wanted to, he would.

• 43:36Benito Skinner?

He's just not that into you.

• 43:37Mary Beth Barone?

No, he's just not that into you.

• 43:39Benito Skinner?

That's so not true at all. Like, he just, he's really busy. He has a job. He has a job, which is kind of like a, that's great. Like, I'm off to a good start. So then, recently I was at the wedding. And I meet this other guy and he made me laugh twice. I was completely thrown off my axis.

• 43:54Mary Beth Barone?

  That's insane.

• 43:55Benito Skinner?

And then I'm like having a nice time with him. I sit by him and then finally I was just like, my good bro, are you single? And he was like, yeah. And then I brought you up and he goes, my celebrity crush. And I went, huh, well, that's funny. Do you want her number? No, I'm kidding. I asked you first.

• 44:12Mary Beth Barone?

You did. Well, you texted me. I said, ask him who he voted for.

• 44:15Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, and he answered correctly.

• 44:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Trump.

• 44:17Benito Skinner?

Yeah, he got it right. And then, yeah, and then from there, I kind of like just vibed around. I like, I made sure he said a few more things that were good. And he actually like asked questions, which blew me away. I was like, this is such a great back and forth. We're having a conversation.

• 44:31Mary Beth Barone?

  This is the bar.

• 44:32Benito Skinner?

So, yeah, well, it's in hell.

• 44:33Mary Beth Barone?

  It's under the table.

• 44:34Benito Skinner?

  So it's in hell.

• 44:35Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:35Benito Skinner?

But we were kind of like, I was like, I fuck with you.

• 44:38Mary Beth Barone?

I'm saying, I'm saying yes to life. I'm saying yes to life. I am open to all incoming opportunities and I'm taking each one seriously.

• 44:48Benito Skinner?

This one, he got really nervous about texting you, which I thought was cute. Well, I asked him, I go, do you have a real job? And he goes, well, I'm not an actor or musician. And I said, yeah, that's what I meant.

• 44:56Mary Beth Barone?

So yeah, do you have a real?

• 44:57Benito Skinner?

So you have a real job. I go then, check, love it.

• 45:00Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, so the last time I set anyone up, and I appreciate the hard work you're doing.

• 45:04Benito Skinner?

Fuck, I feel like I might die for this. I just had that thought.

• 45:06Mary Beth Barone?

We'll see, I gotta talk through this one first.

• 45:08Benito Skinner?

  I just got nervous.

• 45:09Mary Beth Barone?

The cops are on their way, can you hear them? They're coming for you.

• 45:11Benito Skinner?

  They're coming for Benny Jammal.

• 45:12Mary Beth Barone?

And it's not the lesbian from Ride or Die.

• 45:14Benito Skinner?

I will just say before we get into Ride or Die, it's me as a matchmaker.

• 45:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 45:18Benito Skinner?

  It's not what happens.

• 45:18Mary Beth Barone?

  It's not matchmaking in general.

• 45:20Benito Skinner?

No, it's not matchmaking in general. It's just because I think, let me tell you why I think I'm coming to this differently. I'm not forcing anything. I'm not forcing meeting up. I'm not forcing the dates. I'm giving numbers out, I'm giving vibes out. You let it happen, I'm not controlling fate.

• 45:34Mary Beth Barone?

  No, totally.

• 45:34Benito Skinner?

Because God knows I would never do that.

• 45:35Mary Beth Barone?

You're putting people in front of other people.

• 45:37Benito Skinner?

Exactly, and I go, here's this, you know, like, my intuition's pretty good. I immediately know when someone has bad energy.

• 45:43Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 45:43Benito Skinner?

I can smell it. You know what I'm so bad at is matching other gay guys with gay guys. I'm like terrible, I'm like, what do you think of this person? They're like, are you fucking serious?

• 45:52Mary Beth Barone?

Well, gay guys have created a culture where you don't even wanna suggest that two gay guys might be a good match, because then it's like, oh, well, because they're both gay.

• 45:59Benito Skinner?

  Come on, Kerplunk!

• 46:00Mary Beth Barone?

And then come on, Kerplunk happened.

• 46:02Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 46:03Mary Beth Barone?

You know what you are, Benny?

• 46:04Benito Skinner?

  Hmm, I [BLEEP].

• 46:06Mary Beth Barone?

Your words, not mine. Babe, you're my ride or die.

• 46:09Benito Skinner?

  Ride or die.

• 46:12Mary Beth Barone?

Let's get into Ride or Die. I actually do ride for you being a matchmaker.

• 46:16Benito Skinner?

Thank you, I got really nervous, I pushed it here.

• 46:19Mary Beth Barone?

No, I think that you have good instincts. I don't think you would ever put your neck out there for someone who you didn't co-sign, like you didn't believe.

• 46:26Benito Skinner?

And to be clear, this guy who eventually did get Mary Best's number, I watched him the rest of the night. Like a hawk. I watched how he danced, I watched how he drank, I watched what the fuck he ate. Everything about it, every instance of it, how he was texting, what he had on his phone. I took his phone.

• 46:44Mary Beth Barone?

You took his phone, you looked in his hidden folder.

• 46:46Benito Skinner?

I had sex with him, no, I like, he had been vetted by another, it's like, that also is so important. I look at the entire family tree, I found out, I knew where he went to school, I knew where, like, what his friends did, I knew what part of the city he was in. I'm excited, can I just say I'm excited?

• 47:03Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm glad you're, I'm glad you're excited.

• 47:05Benito Skinner?

All you want to be is held. I think I'm turning a ketchup.

• 47:08Mary Beth Barone?

  I agree.

• 47:08Benito Skinner?

I ride for that vein. I love when it pops up every now and then. It's not always.

• 47:12Mary Beth Barone?

I'm gonna look at a picture of it after this.

• 47:14Benito Skinner?

Yeah, wait, I'm actually really curious if I've ever had it, because I feel like I maybe had it like once or twice.

• 47:19Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I think you had it maybe when we were filming overcompensating.

• 47:21Benito Skinner?

Oh, whoa, you think I lost it?

• 47:23Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 47:24Benito Skinner?

Wow, that's what you just said.

• 47:27Mary Beth Barone?

  Saying words in my mouth.

• 47:28Benito Skinner?

You just said that, my love.

• 47:31Mary Beth Barone?

I'm gonna let you look for this.

• 47:33Benito Skinner?

  Yeah. There it is.

• 47:36Mary Beth Barone?

  So there it is.

• 47:37Benito Skinner?

  Okay.

• 47:38Mary Beth Barone?
