That's right, and gang, we couldn't be more excited to have our incredibly, and I mean incredibly special guest back with us again today. It's been a minute. Last time we, last time we had him on the pod, we were also out here in Hollywood.

• 1:08Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 1:23Speaker 02

  I'm the ace, huh?

• 1:24H. Foley?

  Top gun.

• 1:25Speaker 02

  I'm an ace.

• 1:25H. Foley?

  You know you are.

• 1:26Speaker 02

I'm playing for the Las Vegas Aces, the basketball team.

• 1:28H. Foley?

  Is that true?

• 1:29Speaker 02

  The WNBA team, yeah.

• 1:30H. Foley?

  Catch them Savannah Bananas.

• 1:31Speaker 01

  A little Joanna man?

• 1:32Speaker 02

Power forwards. Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna do blackface next season, but they said, they said I gotta wait a year. You can't do it for the, your rookie season, you can't do it.

• 1:40Speaker 01

  You can't do it.

• 1:40H. Foley?

Pull C. Thomas Howell, do a Soul Man.

• 1:42Speaker 01

  In the bylaws.

• 1:43H. Foley?

  Remember that movie?

• 1:44Speaker 02

That movie was so funny, dude.

• 1:45H. Foley?

  Crazy.

• 1:45Speaker 02

  Insane. Full blackface.

• 1:47H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:47Speaker 02

Full blackface, black hands too, black arms.

• 1:50Speaker 01

You can't just stop at the face.

• 1:51Speaker 02

I think it's funny if you don't. You know what I mean? If you don't, if you have the white hands, it's way funnier to me.

• 1:55H. Foley?

Didn't work that much after that, Mr. C. Thomas Howell.

• 1:58Speaker 02

  Yeah, what happened?

• 1:59H. Foley?

I don't know. Shout out to him, he's, you know.

• 2:00Speaker 02

He's probably a good guy. He 100% lives in this neighborhood, by the way. There's no doubt in my mind, this is, this is, this is who lives over here.

• 2:08H. Foley?

  Oh, really?

• 2:08Speaker 02

  Old Hollywood, yeah.

• 2:09H. Foley?

  Oh, I love that.

• 2:10Speaker 02

Old Hollywood. West Hollywood is old Hollywood. This is where like all the TV stars that you know from your childhood, this is where they live.

• 2:16Speaker 01

  Really?

• 2:16Speaker 02

Hundred percent. This are far out east, but this is West Hollywood, like these old bungalows and all that stuff on the block. This is kind of their secret little Hollywood.

• 2:23H. Foley?

So I could run into the guy that plays Howlin' Mad Murdock in the A-Team?

• 2:26Speaker 02

He's next door. He's right on Sierra Bonita. He's right there, dude. I've seen him.

• 2:29H. Foley?

Wait, you don't, what'd you, do you say his name?

• 2:31Speaker 02

No, I said he's on Sierra Bonita, the street.

• 2:34H. Foley?

I think, I think you said Dwight.

• 2:34Speaker 01

We don't know any streets out there.

• 2:35Speaker 02

  I know, that's what I said. He's like, that's his name?

• 2:38Speaker 01

Like a right on La Guca Munga Boulevard.

• 2:40Speaker 02

  Hey, careful.

• 2:41H. Foley?

  Over by Aranone Avenue.

• 2:42Speaker 02

Careful. These are, no, that's Ice Avenue now. They, we've renamed it. Santa Monica's Ice Ave, yeah.

• 2:47Speaker 01

  That's how they get you.

• 2:48Speaker 02

  We're fixing the city.

• 2:49Speaker 01

  Taking the city back.

• 2:52H. Foley?

  It's us.

• 2:53Speaker 02

Boys, back in, uh, back in Hollywood.

• 2:55Speaker 01

  We're back in Hollywood, baby.

• 2:57H. Foley?

Back over here. We love, I love it.

• 2:59Speaker 01

You might be one of my most Hollywood friends I have. I swear.

• 3:02H. Foley?

  Yeah, you are.

• 3:03Speaker 01

You're tapped it. Not in a bad way. I'm saying it in a good way. And you're a level-headed kid. You know why? Every time I text him, every time, he's right there.

• 3:11Speaker 02

  I'll text you right back.

• 3:12Speaker 01

  Minutes.

• 3:12Speaker 02

I'll text you. There's only a handful of people.

• 3:13Speaker 01

Maybe not even, maybe the bubbles pop right up. I go, this kid's fucking.

• 3:15Speaker 02

There's some people I don't text back right away.

• 3:18Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 3:18Speaker 02

And that is dependent upon how our last exchange was. So if the last exchange was like, um, like they didn't hit me back for three or four days.

• 3:27Speaker 01

You gotta put them in a penalty box for a little bit.

• 3:28Speaker 02

  Coming right back, yeah.

• 3:29H. Foley?

You never responded to my Venmo request, which I was insulted by.

• 3:32Speaker 02

Well, the amount was insane. It's like 30 grand. It just said, help, 30 grand. I was like, dude, I don't call me.

• 3:40H. Foley?

  I put the pizza emoji.

• 3:41Speaker 02

I know you did. And the eggplant. I was like, I don't know, dude. But I, I, uh, I do, I am more selective as I get older. If it's someone I love and I respect and love, yeah, but, but if it's someone that's had kind of a, or it's also sometimes if it's just someone in my life that only asks for favors. Like, hey, can you come, can you come help me with this thing? Or can I call you about the thing? And I'm like, never like a, hey, what's up? Or like a, you know what I mean? If it's only favors of, for buddies that I know, like in town, I don't know, then I get a little like.

• 4:10Speaker 01

It's tough too, because we're like, we're very, you know, you gotta become very aware of that when you're like, we were gonna ask somebody to like, if they wanted to do the, the show or something. I was just, I feel like every time, I don't want it to make it seem like I'm going to this person for stuff all the time.

• 4:21Speaker 02

Yeah, but not pods are fine. Pods are different. This is like, have fun, hang out, do a pod.

• 4:25Speaker 01

  It doesn't work.

• 4:26Speaker 02

But I'm talking about favors like. Favors, like favors, people that want, need stuff and you're like, alright, well I guess, I mean you didn't talk to me for six months, but now you like.

• 4:35Speaker 01

Can you give me Bobby Lee's number?

• 4:37Speaker 02

Honestly, he told me specifically not to give it to you.

• 4:39H. Foley?

  We love you Bobby.

• 4:40Speaker 02

I don't, I don't. Can't stand the guy. Love him to death, actually.

• 4:44Speaker 01

Hey, I got one of them.

• 4:45Speaker 02

Yeah. And he's got a little, he's got Japanese hair today too, tied up in the bow.

• 4:50Speaker 01

  His name's Blubby Lee.

• 4:53H. Foley?

  That's just rude.

• 4:55Speaker 01

  It's a comedy pod.

• 4:56H. Foley?

Who do you have here to balance this out?

• 4:58Speaker 02

Yeah, no, no, no, we don't. He's sleeping.

• 5:00H. Foley?

Let me ask you this. I bet you Bobby sleeps heavy and messy.

• 5:03Speaker 02

4pm, 3pm, 4pm usually gets up. We can't pod, we've never potted with the sun up. It's impossible. The sun has to be down.

• 5:10H. Foley?

Are you at the point, would there be anybody that called you and said, hey, can you help me move? Would you do that? Are you there?

• 5:18Speaker 01

  No.

• 5:19Speaker 02

Yeah, no, I would never, that's insane. No, not at our age.

• 5:21H. Foley?

  Get a mover.

• 5:22Speaker 02

Oh, I would do it for like, like my little cousin who lives here.

• 5:25H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 5:25Speaker 02

My younger cousin or like a fam- yes, yes, always, always, always. I would, I would, I would help someone do, move if, um, financially, I know they couldn't afford to hire movers.

• 5:35H. Foley?

Now, would you help the mover or would you just?

• 5:37Speaker 02

  Hire a mover.

• 5:38Speaker 01

  Yeah, okay, that's your way.

• 5:39Speaker 02

But I mean, I would help them. That's me helping.

• 5:41H. Foley?

You're not hooking the couch around the staircase going up and down.

• 5:43Speaker 02

I mean, cause back in, I don't know how it was for, you know, you guys in, in, in New York, but we, young comics moved every year out here. I moved a thousand times. Every year you'd have to get a buddy to help you move to a different apartment, cause you do a one-year lease and then you'd be like, it's a dump and I can't afford it, or you're like, I wanna move or get another roommate.

• 6:00Speaker 01

I leveled off, I can get out of here.

• 6:01Speaker 02

Yeah, or like, or, or like get more roommates to pay less rent, cause no one's home, cause everyone's on the road. So like that staggering thing of your twenties, I'll, never again, dude, I never wanna, moving is fucking, moving and going to the airport, I'll never pick you up from the airport.

• 6:15H. Foley?

You'll never pick me up from the airport?

• 6:16Speaker 02

  I'll send you a car.

• 6:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:17Speaker 02

I'll, my parents, I'm always sending them cars, like I'll, friends, if, if it's someone, you know, a good old friend from home, yeah, I'll just send you a car. If they're like, hey, can you scoop us? I'm like, for sure. There'll be a guy picking you up.

• 6:28Speaker 01

With an iPad with your name on it?

• 6:29Speaker 02

I cannot, I cannot go down there. We go down so much for our job, it's insane. It's like, I don't wanna fucking, I don't wanna be there if I don't have to be there. It's like, when somebody goes, you gonna go hang out at the comedy club? It's like, I don't have a spot. And they're like, why not? It's like, I don't wanna hang, I don't wanna go to the office if I don't have any work to do.

• 6:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 6:43Speaker 02

  I, I don't really, it's not for me.

• 6:44Speaker 01

  A goddamn gentleman.

• 6:46Speaker 02

I can't do, it's, it's my job, so it's weird to go, unless it's like, hey, someone's in town I haven't seen in a long time, I'll go get a beer.

• 6:52H. Foley?

  Right.

• 6:52Speaker 02

That's fine, but I, I never understood hanging out at the spot if you're not working.

• 6:56H. Foley?

What's a night off look like for you, guy like you?

• 6:59Speaker 02

I'm a lot of nights off lately, dude. I'm doing a good job of trying to balance it.

• 7:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 7:03Speaker 02

Home, dog, wife, uh, movie, order in.

• 7:06H. Foley?

  Order in.

• 7:07Speaker 02

We don't know how to cook, dude.

• 7:08Speaker 01

  No, really?

• 7:09Speaker 02

I don't. We tried. It sucks. It's boring. It's, it's a, it's shitty. Then you gotta clean it up and then it's not that good. You're like, let's make a professional do it. Why are we doing this?

• 7:17Speaker 01

  This guy's a dirtbag, actually.

• 7:18Speaker 02

We don't have any kids, dude. We, it's like all the money that would go to a child goes to DoorDash and Postmates.

• 7:24Speaker 01

  I, okay, here's a good-

• 7:25Speaker 02

  I'm employing people.

• 7:25H. Foley?

Go ahead, hit him with it.

• 7:26Speaker 01

Yeah, here's a good question. You get DoorDash, you, you know, whatever you get.

• 7:29Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 7:30Speaker 01

Uh, well, do you eat out of that container or do you plate it?

• 7:33Speaker 02

Oh, container, always. Plate it? You plate it? Why? Why dirty a dish?

• 7:37H. Foley?

  We don't.

• 7:37Speaker 01

No, no, I'm just saying, I've done it. You feel fancy.

• 7:40Speaker 02

I don't like to plate it because I know that's a dish that I wanted to avoid having to clean. That's why I ordered out. No, no, no, we're eating right out. Last night we had Thai food. O'Connor came over with saving.

• 7:49Speaker 01

  Shout out to O'Connor.

• 7:49Speaker 02

And we, and we, we ordered some Thai.

• 7:52H. Foley?

This is her hair tie, by the way.

• 7:53Speaker 02

Yeah, it looks like it, actually.

• 7:55H. Foley?

I got it from her at the store the other night.

• 7:56Speaker 02

  Did you really?

• 7:57H. Foley?

I've been using it ever since.

• 7:58Speaker 02

How many girls do you ask for hair ties?

• 8:00H. Foley?

No, but that's a good move.

• 8:01Speaker 02

  Yeah, that's a good, that's a good, uh.

• 8:03H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 8:03Speaker 02

Hey, could I, do you mind if I grab a hair tie? If, obviously she's dating our friend, but if she was single.

• 8:07H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 8:08Speaker 02

That's a good move. I got one more good move. A buddy, a buddy was talking to me, um, about his single days, about his, his favorite move in New York. This is pretty good. I was like, what was your favorite move before you got married? He goes, I would do this thing. I'd be at a nightclub or a bar or whatever. And I've noticed the girl that I, the pretty girl that I'm like looking for. And he goes, I would wait until she makes eye contact. And no matter what man was around her, like in any vicinity, I'd go, boyfriend? I'd mouth boyfriend. And he goes, their reaction is the dead giveaway of whether it's okay to engage or no. Cause if they go, yes, like, you know, it's my boyfriend, like that, okay, close it down.

• 8:44Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 8:44Speaker 02

But, but if they go like this, they either go, he goes, they say no two ways. They know like this, they go, no. Like that, like, no, that's not, I don't know that man. Or they go, no. Then he goes, you're in.

• 8:56Speaker 01

Cut to me standing next door.

• 9:00Speaker 01

  This fucking piece of shit.

• 9:03Speaker 02

No, but he goes, that was my, he's like, that was my power move. If they laughed at the idea that that would be my boyfriend, he goes, it was a door open of comedy for me to like, get him to, because they were like, no. And he'd come over and be like, I was hoping not, you know, and then you would get, I go that, I would go, how often it work? He goes, constantly.

• 9:17H. Foley?

What does it mean if they ignore you?

• 9:19Speaker 02

  Huh?

• 9:19H. Foley?

If they look at you and ignore you?

• 9:20Speaker 01

  And call security.

• 9:21Speaker 02

  Is this a thing?

• 9:23Speaker 01

  Yeah, they call security.

• 9:24H. Foley?

  But I feel like normal.

• 9:24Speaker 02

That man keeps staring at me, asking if everyone's my boy. You'd go up to her, you're like, is the bartender your boyfriend? She's like, get this guy out of here, dude.

• 9:30H. Foley?

You can't do it when you're three feet away.

• 9:33Speaker 01

This one I saw, I saw in Ireland work, not even joking, it sounds crazy. I saw a hundred percent of the time, I was.

• 9:39H. Foley?

  This wasn't me.

• 9:41Speaker 01

It was, he was an Irish kid. Uh, my buddies were, were staying there for a couple of months and I went over for like two weeks and stayed with them. And we went out every night and the kid did this every night and it, nobody ever got upset, which is wild, because it's very me too. He would, he would go, hey, I'm a, we'd be talking to, we'd be smoking out front or whatever. And he'd go, hey, where did you get those fake eyelashes? And she'd be like, these are my real eyelashes. He goes, he goes, I'm a, he's like, I'm a makeup artist, like I've done everybody, like those are for sure fake eyelashes. And they go, no, they're not. These are my real natural, he's like, you don't have to lie to me, everybody else will buy it. I'm not buying, they're good, that's why I'm saying it. And they go, no, he goes, look, I'll show you the seam, close your, look up in the light and close your eyes. And they would do that and then he would kiss them on the lips and it worked a hundred percent of the time.

• 10:26Speaker 01

  It was fucking crazy.

• 10:27H. Foley?

Was he a real makeup artist?

• 10:29Speaker 01

  No.

• 10:32H. Foley?

  That's pretty good.

• 10:33Speaker 02

Can I talk to you for a second?

• 10:34Speaker 01

I also had, I also knew a kid that would say before the internet was real big, he said he was the punter for the Philly soul.

• 10:40H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 10:40Speaker 01

  The arena football.

• 10:41Speaker 02

  Hey, who knows?

• 10:42Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 10:43Speaker 02

Could have been. See, that is a good move. It is, it is crossing a massive line, but yeah, that's a good move.

• 10:48Speaker 01

I didn't say it was a good move, I just said it was.

• 10:51Speaker 02

That's insane. Kissing a random woman.

• 10:53Speaker 01

Wild. This is like, it was a different time.

• 10:56Speaker 02

  Yeah, I know.

• 10:57Speaker 01

It was when you could still be at a bar and just like, you just.

• 10:59H. Foley?

You could still beat up a minority, nobody complained about it, you know, the good old days.

• 11:03Speaker 02

Yeah. No, you know what? It's, it's, it's, um, it's the nagging, that's what it is.

• 11:07Speaker 01

  It is.

• 11:08Speaker 02

When you're being mean, that was the old days of like nagging. What was the guy that wrote the book about being mean to girls?

• 11:12Speaker 01

  Mystery.

• 11:13Speaker 02

No, no, no, no, no, no.

• 11:14Speaker 01

But he's big in our, he's big in our world.

• 11:16Speaker 02

The game, it's called the game.

• 11:18Speaker 01

  Oh, I don't know.

• 11:18Speaker 02

Do you know what I'm talking about? He wrote a book, my roommate, my first roommate in LA read this book, it transformed his entire life.

• 11:25H. Foley?

  What a scumbag.

• 11:26Speaker 02

Is it called The Game, am I right?

• 11:28Speaker 01

  By Neil Strauss.

• 11:29Speaker 02

Neil Strauss, exactly. He wrote this entire book. It's basi- they made a TV show about it. It's basically about-

• 11:34H. Foley?

Not the Michael Douglas vehicle, right?

• 11:36Speaker 02

That's not yet, right, no, yes, no.

• 11:38H. Foley?

  Michael Douglas' Champs.

• 11:38Speaker 02

  Correct, no, it's not.

• 11:39H. Foley?

  Good movie though.

• 11:39Speaker 02

Great movie. It's about being mean to women in a strategic way that gets them to-

• 11:45Speaker 01

  Engagement, yeah.

• 11:46Speaker 02

Fall into your trap. And he wrote a book about it and millions of men followed this as bible, including my first roommate in Los Angeles. And honestly dude, I shit on it heavily to his face because I was like, this is the dumbest, this book is stupid, this is gross, this is also like disingenuous and phony. He would get so many women from it.

• 12:04Speaker 01

  I did it.

• 12:05Speaker 02

  It was unbelievable.

• 12:07Speaker 01

  It's crazy.

• 12:07Speaker 02

  It blew my mind.

• 12:08Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:09Speaker 02

And this guy, and this guy, I mean, he couldn't, I mean, insane. He couldn't tie his shoes, the guy was such a goof.

• 12:15Speaker 01

  You still talk to him?

• 12:16Speaker 02

Absolutely not. No, yeah, no. No, we went very different ways. He painted the ceiling. The guy was a maniac. I came home one day, he was painting the ceiling. I was like, what are you doing? He's like, I painted all the walls, you gotta paint the ceiling. I was like, you've never been in a house before? It was insane. He used to leave candles on all the time. He'd leave candles on, be in his bed, reading a book by himself, you know.

• 12:34Speaker 01

  The game.

• 12:34Speaker 02

Oh, you know what he would do to light the candles? Turn on the stove.

• 12:37Speaker 01

  That's wild.

• 12:37Speaker 02

He'd turn on the stove and leave the light on. And we had an old stove, you know, the pilot, pilot light ones? So I was like, that's right next to a leaky little gas light. Who knows if one of them-

• 12:44Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 12:46Speaker 02

Anyway, shout out, great, he knows who he is.

• 12:48Speaker 01

  Hey, you know.

• 12:49Speaker 02

  He knows who he is.

• 12:49Speaker 01

Dude, he's got like five chicks around him right now.

• 12:51Speaker 02

  He probably does.

• 12:52H. Foley?

  That's me ladies, right there.

• 12:54Speaker 02

Anyway, this is my roommate. He was a good kid, he was a good kid.

• 12:57H. Foley?

  Huh, never cook.

• 12:59Speaker 02

No, honestly, we try. My wife does try sometimes, but, okay, here's another way to look at it. We both work full time, right? I have my job, she has hers. I don't want the expectation for her or me to come home and have to cook because we've been doing shit all day. So it's like a celebration, it's like a sweet treat. And we do get a sweet treat almost every single night.

• 13:19H. Foley?

  Is that right?

• 13:20Speaker 02

  Have to.

• 13:20Speaker 01

Do you do like, do you over order? Do you go like, we'll split an appetizer, we'll each get a dish and we'll split a dessert? Or do you go like, I get the fucking this? No.

• 13:28Speaker 02

We get as much as we can and then you have leftovers for the next few days.

• 13:30H. Foley?

  You do the leftovers.

• 13:31Speaker 02

I'm a huge leftover guy. I'm an Irish Catholic, my grandmother- My grandmother had stuff that expired seven years ago in her fridge and we'd still eat it. My grandmother refused to throw shit away. That was like insane. She raised 10 kids. Nothing was going to waste. So we were big leftover family and I know people that don't eat it. It doesn't bother me at all.

• 13:49H. Foley?

My mom rolls the dice on Chobani very heavy. She has a lot of faith.

• 13:53Speaker 02

Well, you Chobani is cultured. It's it's.

• 13:55Speaker 01

  Yeah, it's already.

• 13:55Speaker 02

  It's already gone bad.

• 13:56Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 13:57H. Foley?

  Lot of faith.

• 13:58Speaker 02

Yeah, but I see that doesn't that stuff. The only thing that would bother me that would go potentially bad would be like. When milk flips, you know, and you're like, all right, that flip. But I will sometimes.

• 14:06H. Foley?

  Whole neighborhood knows.

• 14:07Speaker 02

You know when milk's, you know when milk's right on the edge?

• 14:09Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:09Speaker 02

  Like before transitions?

• 14:10Speaker 01

  It gets a little better.

• 14:12H. Foley?

  What, milk?

• 14:12Speaker 02

  When milk is.

• 14:13H. Foley?

Oh, right there. A day or two after expiration.

• 14:14Speaker 02

  When milk is pre-op, when it's a pre-op, you're like, uh oh.

• 14:17H. Foley?

  It's all right.

• 14:17Speaker 02

Hasn't transitioned yet. I'll do it. It gives the cereal a little.

• 14:20Speaker 01

  Twang.

• 14:21Speaker 02

  Just a little bite.

• 14:22Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:22H. Foley?

I know what you're talking about.

• 14:24Speaker 02

Yeah, so we don't. We don't ever cook. I we try. She does. And she's actually pretty good when she does, but. Her time, it's like, she's got so much shit on her plate. I don't. I don't want her to feel like she has to like cook for us. So and I'm not going to cook because I'm fucking atrocious at cooking.

• 14:40Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:40Speaker 02

  I'm so bad.

• 14:41H. Foley?

  I'm sorry, guys.

• 14:42Speaker 02

No, I'm just terrible at it. It's a waste of my time.

• 14:44H. Foley?

You guys do any entertaining over at the house?

• 14:46Speaker 02

Yeah, some. We have. We have small sections of friends come over like that, like. O'Conny coming over last night. Like, I'll have a couple of people. I'd have you guys over, just you two.

• 14:54Speaker 01

The ragtag crew we roll with.

• 14:57Speaker 02

I don't. Look at the socks. I don't trust those socks.

• 14:59Speaker 01

He's a rich kid, though. He grew up eating. He knows how to handle himself.

• 15:01Speaker 02

Yeah, but you know what they're saying about rich kids? They always want to look poor. That's what they do. So he wants to look broke.

• 15:06Speaker 01

  Well, that's cool now.

• 15:07Speaker 02

That's why he looks wet and dirty.

• 15:08Speaker 01

That's New York cool is to look.

• 15:09Speaker 02

  Look poor.

• 15:10Speaker 01

The rich kids look poor. Yeah.

• 15:11Speaker 02

No, you can come over to my house. You're a good looking kid. You can stick around. You a hundred percent good. No, I like small intimate groups. That's my favorite. I don't want a big party like once in a while we'll throw. A birthday party at the house or something. Yeah, but for the most part, it gives me anxiety. Too many, too much going on.

• 15:26Speaker 01

  Now.

• 15:26H. Foley?

We've got a question for you.

• 15:27Speaker 02

By the way, side note, I had one of the best, my wife threw me one of the best birthdays this last year. We were gonna, we were gonna rent out Benihana, a room at Benihana for all of our friends.

• 15:36Speaker 01

  It's fun.

• 15:37Speaker 02

  Fun, right?

• 15:37Speaker 01

  Trashy, but fun.

• 15:38Speaker 02

We called Benihana, not interested. I'm not, it was the funny, they were like, we're not doing, I think it was 25 people, my wife had said.

• 15:45H. Foley?

What? That's what, that's how they made their millions.

• 15:47Speaker 02

We have to break up two tables and we, and we don't have that, we don't have that available for this weekend. This weekend being, it was weeks out. And they kept saying no. And then my wife, our friend Hillary was like, she's like, hey, have you guys ever thought about getting like a hibachi chef to the house?

• 16:01Speaker 01

They do it at the house.

• 16:02H. Foley?

  Big.

• 16:02Speaker 02

It was cheaper than if we fucking rented out Benihana. So if we got two tables that I would have to pay for, it was less than half of the price to have the guy come to the house. I should show you guys videos.

• 16:13Speaker 01

He did it on the Blackstone?

• 16:14Speaker 02

Yeah, he did it on the Blackstone, right in the backyard.

• 16:16Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 16:16Speaker 02

And it was hysterical. He had a super soaker filled with sake and he was like, sake! And would hit people right in the face with it.

• 16:22Speaker 01

Cause he's never been, so hibachi is a big, hibachi is a thing that trashy people think is classy.

• 16:26Speaker 02

  It is.

• 16:27Speaker 01

I've go, I went two or three times when I was a kid and I was a kid, like I, in my early twenties, it was like, this is the richest thing I've ever seen.

• 16:36H. Foley?

  Who's Blackstone? He brings it?

• 16:37Speaker 01

  Gary Blackstone. It's his opener.

• 16:39Speaker 02

  Jamal Blackstone.

• 16:42Speaker 01

  She is.

• 16:43Speaker 02

He works on comics on lease. He works on comics on lease.

• 16:48Speaker 02

Jamal Blackstone. Blackstone is a flat, you know, you know what a Blackstone is.

• 16:51H. Foley?

  I know what a Blackstone is, I'm saying, no, I didn't.

• 16:53Speaker 02

This is rude, but you know what a Blackstone is.

• 16:56H. Foley?

I'm not saying who is Blackstone, I'm saying who's, who owns it.

• 17:00Speaker 02

  Who's Blackstone?

• 17:01Speaker 01

They bring them. If you need them, they bring them.

• 17:03H. Foley?

They bring it. I didn't know if you used yours.

• 17:05Speaker 02

  No, I have.

• 17:05H. Foley?

If you had to have a Blackstone as a prerequisite.

• 17:07Speaker 02

But not a Blackstone. I want, I wanted one and then I thought, how often am I gonna use it?

• 17:11Speaker 01

I do that all the time.

• 17:12H. Foley?

  Cause you don't cook.

• 17:12Speaker 02

  I don't cook, it's not worth it.

• 17:13H. Foley?

You have a Japanese guy to come over with a super soaker and go away.

• 17:16Speaker 02

A Japanese guy to come over with a super soaker filled with sake and hit you in the face. And Bobby, he kept try, he loved Bobby, kept trying to get Bobby to, and I was like, he's an alcoholic. And he's like, sake? I was like, he's, he cannot have alcohol. And he kept being like, later? I'm like, dude, brother. It was insane. But Bobby loved the guy. He was dancing with him and shit. He fucked up, by the way, the funniest thing was, he couldn't do any of the tricks, like he fucked up every trick.

• 17:37H. Foley?

  That's great.

• 17:37Speaker 01

  Yeah. He's not even at Benihana. He's on the, he's a, he's a road, he's a road chef, dude.

• 17:41Speaker 02

We got the Timu hibachi chef. He fucked up every trick. He broke the eggs before they, he could flip them into the hat. Shrimp didn't work, didn't do any of that, like.

• 17:49Speaker 01

  You're missing the volcano collapse.

• 17:51Speaker 02

Most fun night I've ever had.

• 17:52H. Foley?

I'm sorry folks, I'm really Italian. I apologize.

• 17:55Speaker 02

Yeah, he was, he was a Jewish kid from, uh, from, from north, northern Chicago. No, he, it was fun. We had a great time.

• 18:02H. Foley?

  Kip, let's talk about Helix.

• 18:03Speaker 01

  Helix, Helix, Helix.

• 18:05H. Foley?

Now, we've been talking about Helix for a long time.

• 18:07Speaker 01

  They're a good brand.

• 18:07H. Foley?

  Have they fallen off?

• 18:08Speaker 01

They have not. They've only gotten better.

• 18:10H. Foley?

They've only gotten better. I love Helix mattresses. Gang, there's gotta be somebody out there that has bought any Helix mattress, otherwise it wouldn't keep coming back.

So the homies are out there making purchases.

• 18:20Speaker 01

  AYG moves Helix mattresses.

• 18:22H. Foley?

Dude, if you're not on a Helix, what do you do? If you're not on a Helix, you're moving the mattress on the top of a Corolla.

• 18:27Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 18:28H. Foley?

  So get a Helix.

• 18:29Speaker 01

You're jammed up. Uh, guys, we're, I mean, we've been, I've been a Helix family at this point for going on five, six years. One of the best decisions I've ever made in my personal life, I was buying cheap, stupid discount mattresses, going to, you know, mattress warehouse, barn, whatever, going.

• 18:46H. Foley?

  Bozo.

• 18:46Speaker 01

I'll take this for, for, for 99.99, seven easy.

• 18:50H. Foley?

  Spreads digging into your back.

• 18:51Speaker 01

Oh my God. Oh, you're gonna need this and this. And then after two weeks, I'm like lumped in the middle. There's no, no, no support. I got a bad back. I'm getting bad sleep. My days are ruined.

• 21:12Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 21:14H. Foley?

You're having that party. Somehow we do get invited. I don't know. There's 15, 20 of us, whatever there. Um, I come to you and I say, listen, man, I really gotta use the bathroom. You got a bathroom on the first floor? Guest bathroom?

• 21:28Speaker 02

  We do.

• 21:28H. Foley?

  Okay, listen.

• 21:30Speaker 01

That'd be wild if he said no.

• 21:31Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 21:32Speaker 01

He's got hibachi money, but no first floor bathroom money?

• 21:35H. Foley?

This isn't going to be that kind of thing. Is there any way I can use your bathroom upstairs in your bedroom?

• 21:40Speaker 02

  There is a...

• 21:41Speaker 01

The, all the other ones are, the halls are out.

• 21:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 21:44Speaker 01

It's either the first floor and he embarrasses himself in the living room.

• 21:48Speaker 02

I gotta be honest with you. Right around the corner from our house is a liquor store and I know the guy.

• 21:55H. Foley?

  A liquor store?

• 21:56Speaker 02

And he would let you use the bathroom. He's a good guy. I go to him all the time.

• 21:59Speaker 01

  Tell Jimmy I sent you.

• 22:00H. Foley?

Yeah. Is anybody allowed in your master bedroom?

• 22:04Speaker 01

Like if you're showing the tour.

• 22:05H. Foley?

  Not the tour.

• 22:06Speaker 02

No, we don't tour the master. My wife doesn't like that because it's like, if it's not clean the way she likes it to be.

• 22:10Speaker 01

  Yeah, of course.

• 22:11Speaker 02

No. Mom and dad get it. Mom and dad get it, but that's, that's a week of us cleaning the house before they come over to see the thing.

• 22:17H. Foley?

So there's no shot of me getting to use the bathroom in your, in your master bedroom?

• 22:20Speaker 02

Literally no. You wouldn't be able, I wouldn't allow you upstairs.

• 22:24Speaker 01

  Right? That's fair.

• 22:25H. Foley?

  I respect it.

• 22:25Speaker 02

I put the little ropes up for people so they don't go upstairs, you know?

• 22:28Speaker 01

  Got the baby gate.

• 22:28Speaker 02

Yeah, you're not going up there.

• 22:29Speaker 01

He can't get over, he can't get over the dog. He's all jammed up. You and the dogs sitting at the bottom of the stairs looking up.

• 22:36Speaker 02

  Just sharing treats.

• 22:38H. Foley?

I got his peanut butter bowl all the way back. Alright, very classy answer.

• 22:41Speaker 02

Yeah, no, no, no, no chance.

• 22:43H. Foley?

  Very good.

• 22:43Speaker 02

No, but, but, but, but I would let you, I would let you sit on the couch in the living room. I would let you do that.

• 22:49H. Foley?

  Thank you.

• 22:49Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 22:50Speaker 01

That's, hey, very nice of you.

• 22:51H. Foley?

Is there, is there anybody in the entertainment business that if they needed to go up there, you'd let them do it?

• 22:56Speaker 02

There was a couple buddies I would let up there, yeah. Yeah, a couple of friends. Yeah, you're not in that.

• 22:59H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 23:00Speaker 02

Now, no, no, no, no. No, she doesn't want anybody upstairs when we have people over. That's a, that's a her domain insecurity. She doesn't want people rummaging around the, like, our bedrooms and our stuffs up there. I think she gets, she doesn't like that.

• 23:12Speaker 01

There's a level of intimacy to it.

• 23:14H. Foley?

  I would look through your.

• 23:14Speaker 01

  He would, dude.

• 23:15Speaker 02

  I know, that's my fear.

• 23:16Speaker 01

He'd be going through, he'd be going through your underwear drawer under her.

• 23:18H. Foley?

  No, no, no.

• 23:19Speaker 02

They catch him sniffing my underwear.

• 23:22Speaker 01

  Kid's a freak.

• 23:22H. Foley?

Smells like rich guy. I would definitely root through your bathroom now.

• 23:26Speaker 02

You'd have to, yeah. People do, you go through the medicine cabinet.

• 23:29H. Foley?

  100%.

• 23:29Speaker 02

That's what you do every time you go to someone's house.

• 23:30H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 23:31Speaker 02

  You rummage through their shit.

• 23:32H. Foley?

  Thank you.

• 23:33Speaker 02

Yeah, you do. It's a, it's a natural reaction to look in someone's bathroom to see what medicine they're taking, what's under the sink, what toothpaste do they use?

• 23:39H. Foley?

  What a dirtball.

• 23:40Speaker 02

  This is a natural reaction.

• 23:41H. Foley?

  I love it.

• 23:41Speaker 02

  You have to.

• 23:41Speaker 01

Well, that's why he's not letting you do it, because he knows.

• 23:44Speaker 02

  Correct.

• 23:44Speaker 01

He, he's a dirtbag. I know what I would do. I don't want this guy.

• 23:47Speaker 02

Like, are you bar soap or, or body wash?

• 23:49H. Foley?

  For sure.

• 23:49Speaker 02

You're a bar soap or body wash?

• 23:51H. Foley?

  No, me?

• 23:51Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 23:51H. Foley?

Uh, in my new place, I, I gotta think of Dove. No washcloths.

• 23:55Speaker 02

  In the new place.

• 23:56Speaker 01

It's not that great of a new place. It's actually.

• 23:58Speaker 02

  It's just a new place.

• 23:58H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 23:59Speaker 01

  It's new to him.

• 24:00H. Foley?

  Lateral move.

• 24:00Speaker 02

Dove, Dove, the Dove, the white bottle, body wash?

• 24:02H. Foley?

  The Dove cucumber one, yeah.

• 24:03Speaker 02

Yeah, cucumber's nice. Cucumber's actually pretty nice.

• 24:05Speaker 01

I'm a bar soap man. See, I. Cheap, cheap bar soap.

• 24:07Speaker 02

I like bar soaps, uh, but I found a new, a new smell that I really like.

• 24:12Speaker 01

  What are you doing?

• 24:13Speaker 02

  There's a, Native is a company called Native. I like, I like.

• 24:15Speaker 01

  Sponsor, yeah.

• 24:16Speaker 02

  I like those guys.

• 24:17H. Foley?

You get that at Walmart, get that at CVS, Target, whatever.

• 24:20Speaker 02

Yeah, yeah, but I just like the, it's, for me, it's just if it smells pretty good, I like it.

• 24:23H. Foley?

Is it the purple one with the purple writing?

• 24:24Speaker 02

No, the green one. It's like the, oh, God, I don't even know, Cool Mint or whatever, whatever the green one.

• 24:29Speaker 01

  Cool, winter fresh.

• 24:30Speaker 02

I buy it by color. I buy everything by color.

• 24:32Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 24:32H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 24:33Speaker 01

  It's my flavor, yeah.

• 24:34Speaker 02

Careful, I buy everything by color.

• 24:35Speaker 01

  He does it.

• 24:37Speaker 02

Internet takes that and runs with it?

• 24:40Speaker 01

What um, right now, like currently house stocked, we come over, right? What kind of water? And I go, I want a glass of water. And I want a beer. What, what, what do you have to offer?

• 24:53Speaker 02

Water goes out of the sink. Sink water.

• 24:55Speaker 01

  No bottle.

• 24:55H. Foley?

  What?

• 24:56Speaker 02

Yeah, sink water. Which is insane.

• 24:57Speaker 01

Do you have a filter on it?

• 24:58Speaker 02

  Of course.

• 24:59H. Foley?

Where is it? Is it downstairs or is it one of those things that hanging off the?

• 25:02Speaker 02

No, no, no, it's underneath the sink. It's a, it's one of these really nice filters that clinks into the sink.

• 25:06H. Foley?

  Is it the um?

• 25:08Speaker 01

  Did you say glinks in?

• 25:09Speaker 02

  Clinks in the sink.

• 25:10H. Foley?

  Clinks in?

• 25:11Speaker 02

  Yeah, clinks in.

• 25:11H. Foley?

Is it the uh? What's it called?

• 25:13Speaker 01

  You hook it.

• 25:13H. Foley?

  Dehydrated? No, not um.

• 25:15Speaker 01

  Deionized.

• 25:16Speaker 02

  The osmosis.

• 25:17Speaker 01

  Reverse osmosis.

• 25:18H. Foley?

  Reverse osmosis.

• 25:19Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 25:19Speaker 01

  He's just saying.

• 25:20Speaker 02

I don't know. She, she got it. I don't know.

• 25:23Speaker 01

  Sure. It's a, it's a hoity toity water filter.

• 25:24Speaker 02

But it's nicer than the fridge water, but the fridge has the filter in the bottom. But I don't, I say, I'll tell people, don't do the fridge water, do the sink water. And they're always like, sink water? By the way, for people that need to know, LA has some of the best tap water. We just get shit on it because people are like, LA water? The tap water here is actually very good. It's not New York tap water, but it's better than people think it's going to be. So you could just drink tap, no, no filter. In fact, most of the city does.

• 25:47H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 25:47Speaker 02

But people get this weird thing. But yes, I say that for that. And then a beer, uh, you want a beer?

• 25:52Speaker 01

Whatever you got. What do you have?

• 25:53Speaker 02

See, I'm, you know, I'm a bourbon guy. I'm a whiskey guy. So I don't, I always have a couple of beers for people. So I have, um, Mick Ultra, always have an Ultra.

• 26:00Speaker 01

I just was driving, crushing them this week.

• 26:01H. Foley?

Is this in the main fridge?

• 26:03Speaker 02

Uh, no, we have a little, a little tiny little booze fridge.

• 26:06H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 26:06Speaker 02

Mick Ultra, because my, my dad loves that shit. And every dad, every guy over 55 is like, you got a Mick Ultra? Because you start to learn, you're like, ah. So I have Guinness for me because it's the only beer I drink. It's the only beer I like. I don't really like beer anymore.

• 26:19Speaker 01

  You have the Nitro cans?

• 26:20Speaker 02

No, I have the, I like the bottles. The Nitro cans are okay. I just like the glass because it gets, it keeps it colder. Yeah. So Guinness, I had, Connie and I had one last night. Guinness, Mick Ultra.

• 26:29H. Foley?

  Connie drinks?

• 26:32H. Foley?

  Love you, Connie.

• 26:33Speaker 02

He's getting his PhD in it right now. The guy, I think he's gonna get a scholarship. Uh, and then I'll have a mix of whatever other people left. So it's usually like an Allagash is there, or they'll be...

• 26:43Speaker 01

  Keep good company.

• 26:45Speaker 02

Always Miller Lights there, Bud Light is always, like, a couple of, a couple of domestics.

• 26:49Speaker 01

  Whatever floaters.

• 26:49Speaker 02

And then, and then, um, uh, what was also down there? And then, my good, my buddy Jim always likes, um, sours. So there'll be a sour or two in the fridge. You don't know, you don't like that?

• 27:00H. Foley?

  Like a whiskey sour?

• 27:01Speaker 02

  No, brother.

• 27:02Speaker 01

  No, the beer.

• 27:02Speaker 02

A sour beer, yeah. He loves those. So he'll leave those and a couple of like, uh, you know, uh...

• 27:08Speaker 01

  Heady beers.

• 27:09Speaker 02

Fish, whatever they drink at a fish concert.

• 27:11Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 27:12Speaker 02

  Yeah, whatever.

• 27:13Speaker 01

  Flower magic hat.

• 27:14Speaker 02

  Whatever wicked IPA.

• 27:15Speaker 01

  Honey brown ale.

• 27:16Speaker 02

And I don't mind those either, but I just, I don't love beer that much.

• 27:18Speaker 01

And then how many bottles of brown would you say you have at the house?

• 27:21Speaker 02

Oh, brother, that's bad. That one's, that's embarrassing.

• 27:23H. Foley?

  Do you have anything?

• 27:24Speaker 02

Too many. I mean, I, n- nothing short of 50 bottles of, yeah.

• 27:28Speaker 01

What's the most expensive one, if you don't mind me asking?

• 27:31Speaker 02

Expensive's hard to know, because most of those good ones are at my studio.

• 27:34Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 27:34Speaker 02

The nice bourbon I keep at the studio to share with guests.

• 27:36Speaker 01

  Right.

• 27:37Speaker 02

Like Pappy and stuff. Uh, at home, I don't really, we don't really drink at home unless friends come over.

• 27:42Speaker 01

  Yeah, same.

• 27:43Speaker 02

So, I don't know, there's not, there's a couple of good bottles there. I've got a couple of nice wellers there and, um, I always keep a couple of Blantons around, because I like those as like a, a daily drinker, but nothing insane. Just like good, solid whiskey. And then I also have, you want a mixer? There's Bullet Bourbon and Jack there, and then there's...

• 27:59Speaker 01

  I'm a Bullet, I'm a, I'm a Bullet guy.

• 28:00Speaker 02

Yeah, that's always a good mixer.

• 28:02H. Foley?

  Bullet's a mixer?

• 28:03Speaker 02

  Hundred percent.

• 28:04H. Foley?

I thought it was high-end stuff.

• 28:04Speaker 02

  Wha- what?

• 28:06H. Foley?

  I don't know.

• 28:06Speaker 02

No, it's not the same price point as Jack.

• 28:08H. Foley?

I'm just trying to figure out who Pappy is.

• 28:09Speaker 02

  Yeah, Pappy, yeah.

• 28:10Speaker 01

We gave a bottle as a gift one time, remember?

• 28:12H. Foley?

  Yeah, of course.

• 28:13Speaker 02

  It's fantastic.

• 28:13Speaker 01

  He doesn't remember.

• 28:14H. Foley?

  Who'd I give it to?

• 28:15Speaker 01

Uh, we gave it to, uh, my cousin who helped us with the lease of the studio.

• 28:19H. Foley?

  Ah, yes.

• 28:21Speaker 01

Also... Funny story, he drank it, then got on a moped, crashed the moped. It was, it's a whole thing. It ended up costing him a lot.

• 28:29Speaker 02

  He got hurt bad?

• 28:29Speaker 01

No, not bad, but property damage.

• 28:32Speaker 02

Yeah. No, there's, and then there's also tequila, vodka, and other stuff for other people, but I don't.

• 28:36Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 28:37Speaker 02

Bourbon is my, if I'm gonna have some people over, I'd rather have a glass of bourbon. I'll share a beer with anybody, but it's not my preference.

• 28:42H. Foley?

You got any of that 1942 over there?

• 28:45Speaker 02

  Yeah, I do, actually. Yeah.

• 28:46H. Foley?

  You do?

• 28:47Speaker 02

Yeah, we always keep tequila for people.

• 28:48H. Foley?

  Ooh, I love that stuff.

• 28:49Speaker 02

Yeah, that stuff's pretty good. Don Julio, uh...

• 28:51H. Foley?

  I got fucked up.

• 28:52Speaker 02

Yeah, I think Clas Azul, we got one of those for people that like tequila.

• 28:54H. Foley?

What, those weird things that look like?

• 28:56Speaker 02

Bing, hit the bell, the thing. We always keep a couple for other people. Vodka I have no respect for whatsoever. When people buy expensive vodka, it's the dumbest game in the world. It's not aged. Why is it pricier? Cause they filtered it more?

• 29:07Speaker 01

Yeah, they just run it through another filter.

• 29:08Speaker 02

No, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's, you're only putting that with something that tastes better. That's all it is.

• 29:13Speaker 01

You see, you can run the, you can buy like the Costco brand and run it through a Brita and it will...

• 29:17Speaker 02

  Kirkland is as good as...

• 29:18Speaker 01

  It'll heighten the taste, yeah.

• 29:19Speaker 02

Yeah, it's a jo, that's how I know vodka's a scam. It didn't have to age. There's nothing to it. I don't respect it. So I keep a, a, a jug of Tito's for people that come over that want vodka. Yeah. Jug of Tito's, the fucking handle.

• 29:31Speaker 01

  The big guy, the handle.

• 29:32Speaker 02

Yeah, you got it. Cause people who like vodka, oof. Vodka's an alcoholic's drink.

• 29:36Speaker 01

Hey, shout out to my stepdad, rest in peace, big dog.

• 29:39Speaker 02

  We love you, dog.

• 29:41H. Foley?

I like a teeny every once in a while. I like the teeny.

• 29:43Speaker 02

Martini, but it's, you only have that at a restaurant. People who drink martinis at home got a problem. That's danger, it's sad.

• 29:50Speaker 01

You sit down at a nice restaurant, what's the order? What's the drink order?

• 29:53Speaker 02

I ask for a bourbon list if they have one, and then if, if they're, if they don't, then I'll just take like a Woodford with a splash of, a diet. In fact, I switch now.

• 30:01Speaker 01

  What a dirtbag.

• 30:02H. Foley?

  A splash of diet.

• 30:04Speaker 02

I, I switch. Now I do Coke Zero, cause it tastes better.

• 30:06Speaker 01

Hey, give it up for Aunt Trish, everybody.

• 30:10Speaker 02

And you boys don't call anymore. You should call.

• 30:14H. Foley?

I'll do a Woodford with a splash of Mr. Pibb, please. Extra.

• 30:17Speaker 02

I just want a little bit of the caffeine if I'm out at a restaurant because I know it's gonna be a night and then we're gonna go out. But if they don't have a good bourbon, I'll just drink a mixed bourbon and coke or whatever, you know. Or a little whiskey ginger, which I'm getting away from because the shugs, trying to get off of, trying to avoid shug.

• 30:32H. Foley?

You thin shaped guy, what are you talking about?

• 30:33Speaker 02

Yeah, but I love sweets dude. I gotta stay in the gym because daddy loves sweets. Every time we have dinner, we'll end dinner, my wife and I will be like, sitting around hanging, fucking with the dog, goofing off, and then she'll go, do you want to get like a chocolate thing or something?

• 30:46H. Foley?

You going out to do that?

• 30:48Speaker 02

We like to go to, there's a gelato place near the house and I love, brother, I love.

• 30:51H. Foley?

You walk down there, you take the car down there?

• 30:53Speaker 02

Take the dog, take a walk. We're walkers, we're big walkers. We moved to a place specifically so we could walk in the neighborhood and we could get to a lot of spots. We got sick of the, the driving around shit. I was like, I don't want to fucking get in my car to go to the grocery store. So we can walk to everything now.

• 31:07Speaker 01

  Very cool, that's great.

• 31:09Speaker 02

Yeah, we have, she's the same way. She didn't like it either. She was like, I hate having to get in the car. Like I have friends that live in the Hollywood Hills. You, you literally can't walk. If you need anything, you're getting in the whip and you have to go all the way down the hill.

• 31:22Speaker 01

Those hills scare me. Some of those houses are just sitting up in the nowhere. I would be spooked out.

• 31:25H. Foley?

I mean, a crossover in the valley was just frightening. It was like a roller coaster.

• 31:28Speaker 02

Well, through the canyon, yeah. You can tell them to take the highway. But I think, I think what's, what?

• 31:32H. Foley?

  It is called a canyon.

• 31:33Speaker 02

  It's the canyon.

• 31:34H. Foley?

The mountain's a canyon or the,

• 31:36Speaker 01

No, a canyon's in between the mountains.

• 31:37Speaker 02

Well, the road is called Laurel Canyon.

• 31:39Speaker 01

Yeah, there's like Nicholas Cannon or whatever, Canyon.

• 31:41H. Foley?

  Nick Cannon?

• 31:42Speaker 02

  Nick Cannon.

• 31:45Speaker 02

Be careful on these streets. You might hit one of my 30 kids.

• 31:48H. Foley?

So you and the wife take a nice walk with the dog?

• 31:50Speaker 02

Take a nice walk with the pup. The pup's feeling it. She's a moody bitch now, dude. There's nights now. She's eight, so now she's at the age where I'll go, come on, let's go, Cubs, let's go. And then she'll look at you and go, and go back and lay down.

• 32:02Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 32:03Speaker 02

I know when she's in the mood and when she's not. So we'll take the pup sometimes, but yeah, we'll go gelato or we'll pop over to like, uh, just go over to the Ralph's, the grocery store and get just a little chocolate sweet treat. We like the, we like the chocolate bars, the dark chocolate bars. Fun to share.

• 32:16Speaker 01

  What brand?

• 32:18Speaker 02

Old school, give me the lint.

• 32:20Speaker 01

Lint with a touch of sea salt is my kick me in the dick.

• 32:23Speaker 02

Give me the lint. I love a lint. There's newer ones that are healthier and better and whatever.

• 32:27Speaker 01

The hue or whatever, the brown cardboard one?

• 32:29Speaker 02

Just give me the lint dude, I love that.

• 32:30H. Foley?

Those things are like forty dollars.

• 32:31Speaker 02

  My dude.

• 32:32H. Foley?

  They're crazy.

• 32:32Speaker 02

Well lint's prices went up too, by the way. Lint's not as cheap as it used to be. Now lint, I think lint needs to compete with the other ones. So they go, well, we should be more expensive because they are, because then people will think we're cheap.

• 32:41Speaker 01

  We're higher end, yeah.

• 32:42Speaker 02

Isn't that funny? It's like, it's the same thing.

• 32:44Speaker 01

I thought it was, I thought it was, that was imported from fucking Fran- I had no, it's made in San Francisco.

• 32:50Speaker 02

From Nebraska, yeah. It's from Lincoln, yeah, it is from, it's San Francisco, right?

• 32:54Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 32:55Speaker 02

  It's the Bay.

• 32:55Speaker 01

  I just thought it was.

• 32:56Speaker 02

Well, that's where Girardelli Chocolate is, right? That's where the Girardelli Square.

• 32:59Speaker 01

Yeah, Girardelli. I think, I think they're all one and the same. Everything's owned by one thing.

• 33:03H. Foley?

Talking about a sunglass people, right? Isn't there a sunglass company on everything?

• 33:06Speaker 02

Who Ray Ban owns chocolate now?

• 33:07Speaker 01

Ray Ban owns this podcast, actually.

• 33:09Speaker 02

  They good dude, good shades.

• 33:11H. Foley?

What do you keep in the house as far as ice cream goes? You do anything like that? You keep?

• 33:14Speaker 01

  You're going.

• 33:15Speaker 02

Nothing. We have to go, and that, this is the reason why, because I told my wife when we were getting pints of ice cream in the fridge, they're, or they're, in the freezer, they're ripped, they're gone.

• 33:21H. Foley?

Do the whole pint at once, right?

• 33:23Speaker 02

Yeah, what are we talking, yeah. So, so it's impossible to not do that, so this way it makes us go get it, which is good for the walk.

• 33:28Speaker 01

  You just buy the one?

• 33:29Speaker 02

Yeah, we just buy the cup of the cone. That way you eat it and you're done, and there's no hesitation, because you're like, fine, that's what I wanted. Instead of, I'll do the thing where we'll sit down, watch a movie, I'll, I'll have it out of the pint, put it away, go do something else, go to the office, come back down, I'll finish it, and then I'll finish it. And so i- if I regulate the size, there's no.

• 33:47H. Foley?

How many scoops you doing at the ice cream spot?

• 33:50Speaker 02

The call, the, this is the best thing about new age ice cream. They give you more than you ask for, which I love.

• 33:55Speaker 01

  It's heavy handed.

• 33:56Speaker 02

If you said two scoops, they're giving you three or four. It's kind of brilliant. So if I get the, if I get the cone.

• 34:00H. Foley?

  Doing a waffle cone?

• 34:01Speaker 02

Uh, they have, dude, at this spot I'll show you, they have a chocolate and or pistachio, um.

• 34:08H. Foley?

  Dipped?

• 34:09Speaker 02

Dipped cone, and dude, I don't know if you like pistachio, the pistachio dipped cone with a chocolate based ice cream.

• 34:16H. Foley?

I'm with you, I'm with you.

• 34:17Speaker 02

  See ya.

• 34:18H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 34:18Speaker 02

It's the greatest thing in the world. So I get that, so it's not a waffle, it's a traditional cone that's dipped. I don't think they can dip the waffle, or they don't.

• 34:24H. Foley?

When you were a kid, were you allowed to get the waffle cone? We were never allowed to go at the waffle cone.

• 34:29Speaker 01

  That was for adults.

• 34:30Speaker 02

When I was a kid, it was Baskin Robbins all day, so it was just a, it was the old school sugar cone.

• 34:33H. Foley?

Yeah. Oh, sugar cone, there you go.

• 34:35Speaker 02

But I think that's the best one.

• 34:36H. Foley?

  Oh, for sure.

• 34:37Speaker 02

I think waffles a little much. It's trying to do too much. The smell of a waffle cone at the place. The best, but the old school shug cone, I think, first of all, it holds its integrity better. Waffles really frail.

• 34:49H. Foley?

  True.

• 34:49Speaker 02

  Waffle breaks often.

• 34:50H. Foley?

What about it? You ever have a pretzel cone?

• 34:52Speaker 01

  Pretzel cone. I don't know. That might've been a Philly thing. I don't know.

• 34:54Speaker 02

No, we don't. I don't think that's what you guys think, but I mean, it sounds good. I mean, like a pretzel bun on a sandwich is like untouchable.

• 35:01H. Foley?

Yeah, when it's done right. It's not always done right, though.

• 35:04Speaker 02

Yeah, but if you go to a good spot, dude, there's, I'll take you to some good spots, good sandwich spots up here.

• 35:09H. Foley?

  Really? We'll go out?

• 35:09Speaker 02

Oh, my god, dude. Do you know, have you heard of Giata?

• 35:12H. Foley?

  Giata?

• 35:12Speaker 02

  Giata sandwiches?

• 35:13H. Foley?

  No.

• 35:15Speaker 02

I'll take you. It's so good. It's right over the hill.

• 35:17H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 35:18Speaker 02

It's so good. There's some good sandwich joints now. Uncle Paulie's is good. There's really good sandwiches here. But they'll do it right. They'll do those. I know what you're saying. If you screw those things up.

• 35:27H. Foley?

  Bad news.

• 35:27Speaker 02

I'll tell you guys, dude, you foodie boys. I was at this, I was at this spot.

• 35:31Speaker 01

Talking about waffle cones. I had pizza this morning for breakfast.

• 35:33Speaker 02

I know. I saw it up there.

• 35:35H. Foley?

How do you feel about that? You saw that box?

• 35:37Speaker 02

  Joes? Joes? I like it.

• 35:40H. Foley?

  Yeah, okay.

• 35:41Speaker 02

It's a solid go, but, uh...

• 35:43H. Foley?

I think Joe's in New York, I'll tell you that. But shout out to you.

• 35:46Speaker 02

  Same guy.

• 35:47H. Foley?

  No, it's not.

• 35:48Speaker 02

That's Joseph Bleecker Street. What are you talking about?

• 35:49H. Foley?

  It is?

• 35:50Speaker 02

  That's Joe's.

• 35:51H. Foley?

  Oh, it is?

• 35:51Speaker 02

Yeah, the same guy. He brought it out here. Joe's, and they brought out Prince Streets out here now. Uh, but there's a lot of competitive pizza joints. Apollonia's is real good. Have you ever had that? That's real good, dude. There's some really good pizza.

• 36:02H. Foley?

  Apollonia!

• 36:03Speaker 01

We like to hang out at the Brentwood Market a lot.

• 36:05Speaker 02

You guys know about that? Pizzeria Bianco? Chris Bianco's joint, brother. LA's got it all. This big joke about us, you know, when someone's like...

• 36:11H. Foley?

We were looking up a TGI Fridays last night after this show.

• 36:13Speaker 01

I swear to god, we got done our show, and we were like, what can we do?

• 36:15Speaker 02

There's one Chili's left in the valley.

• 36:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, he found it.

• 36:18H. Foley?

  Oh, fuck.

• 36:18Speaker 02

It's left in the West Valley. Uh, but I went to this, I was in Mexico, um, and my buddy, my buddy was like, oh, you gotta go try this. Um, they do a thing called a burger dia, where it's a burger and a quesadilla, brother. Life changing.

• 36:33Speaker 01

How's this break down? What's that look like?

• 36:35Speaker 02

So the burger is mixed with like a, you know how like, um, the taco seasoning that would go on ground beef for tacos? They put that in, in the burger patty while they're, while they're cooking it.

• 36:44Speaker 01

  Wow.

• 36:44Speaker 02

So while they're rolling the burger, it's in taco seasoning, press it, then they put toppings of choice inside, but typically it's grilled onions.

• 36:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 36:53Speaker 02

Cheese and then sour cream and jalapenos pressed in a crispy buttery quesadilla and dude.

• 37:01Speaker 01

Oh, it's in the quesadilla. I have seen that.

• 37:03Speaker 02

The burger dia dude. I've never seen it either and I was shocked. I was like, how have I never even thought of this? It's just another way to transport the burger dude.

• 37:09Speaker 01

  Delivery system.

• 37:10Speaker 02

  Phenomenal.

• 37:11H. Foley?

I have a big theory about, uh, I think it'd be more maybe east coast, uh, Mexican restaurants. If you go to a Mexican restaurant, they have a burger, get it, cause it's probably bagging.

• 37:19Speaker 02

At a burger joint out there? Don't do that here.

• 37:21H. Foley?

No, I know, that Mexican joint.

• 37:22Speaker 02

No, I'm saying, don't do that here. Mexican joint out here, get the traditional shit.

• 37:25H. Foley?

  Yeah, of course.

• 37:26Speaker 02

Whatever they, whenever I go to a Mexican restaurant here, if it's not a taco, uh, window, if it's not a window, if it's a sit down. Um, ask, you know, when you look at their menu, see their, um, their specialties that are like from the kitchen. Meaning like it's, it's been, they've been stewing it and cooking it for a couple of days or like it, they'll tenderize beef for a couple of, cause you know, the biggest whack order I ever see is the fajitas is like the worst thing I've ever seen.

• 37:51H. Foley?

  I'm a fajita guy.

• 37:52Speaker 02

You're wrong. It's insane. It's just dry chicken and dry beef.

• 37:54H. Foley?

What are you drinking in a Mexican place? A keel and a splash of, uh, Mountain Dew?

• 37:58Speaker 02

  Yeah, if they have it.

• 38:00Speaker 01

Man, big chop from the big man up there.

• 38:03Speaker 02

You know why you like fajitas? Cause you like the show. You like the show.

• 38:05H. Foley?

  I do.

• 38:06Speaker 01

  He's a razzle dazzle boy.

• 38:07Speaker 02

But it's dry meat. It's always dry chicken, dry beef. It's never cooked the way it's supposed to.

• 38:11H. Foley?

I could never get them when I was a kid. No one was arguing with that. You'll burn yourself. It's so expensive.

• 38:15Speaker 02

He still is worried about that with you when you go out. No, now, now, now like I get my favorite is chili con Colorado. It's like a chili beef. A hot red sauce, spicy red sauce. It's tender, tender meat, veggies. Oh dude, like I want something that they've been making in the kitchen. The white people dishes are great, but give me the one that they like.

• 38:33H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 38:33Speaker 02

  That's the.

• 38:34H. Foley?

  The staff meal.

• 38:35Speaker 02

Yeah, give them the one that they like. Cause and fajitas to me are, you know, that's a, it's a white guy from the Midwest meal.

• 38:42H. Foley?

I got you. I'm a big sour cream guy. It truly is a vehicle.

• 38:44Speaker 01

I'm a big sour cream guy.

• 38:46H. Foley?

It's a vehicle for my sour cream. I know, I know.

• 38:48Speaker 02

My wife likes sour cream with, she'll order the side of it to dip just the chips in, which I've started to do. Use sour cream as the base on the chip and then get in the salsa.

• 38:56H. Foley?

Yeah, you can also, you can also take that and mix that up together.

• 39:00Speaker 02

You can do, but I like the idea. Cause you can get a.

• 39:02H. Foley?

  No.

• 39:05Speaker 02

You can get a glob of sour cream on the chip and then go into the salsa and, and there won't be that much sour cream residue in the salsa. If people don't like it, you're safe this way. A little bit of residue.

• 39:16H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 39:16Speaker 02

But it's a, that's become my new favorite dip.

• 39:18H. Foley?

  Very nice.

• 39:19Speaker 02

Oh, I love it. Sour cream and salsa, hot, hot salt. You like hot? No?

• 39:22H. Foley?

  Nah, not too hot.

• 39:23Speaker 02

  I know, I can tell.

• 39:24H. Foley?

I like a little something there, but not too hot.

• 39:25Speaker 02

You like a baby kick. You go for mild?

• 39:27H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 39:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 39:28H. Foley?

  I like a mild, like a sweet. I like a, I like a peach corn salsa.

• 39:33Speaker 02

  That's not a salsa. That's just-

• 39:34H. Foley?

  Pineapple salsa.

• 39:35Speaker 02

  That's, that's just corn with a friend.

• 39:37H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 39:37Speaker 02

  That's not, that's not salsa.

• 39:39H. Foley?

Yeah. My, my, my tooth is a sweet tooth.

• 39:42Speaker 02

  Which one?

• 39:44Speaker 01

The only two, one of the two he's got left.

• 39:45Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 39:46Speaker 01

  One of the seven left?

• 39:47H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 39:48Speaker 02

  These are all the sweeties.

• 39:49H. Foley?

  Kim, let's talk about Chime.

• 39:50Speaker 01

  Chime!

• 39:51H. Foley?

As you know, baby, life comes at you pretty quick.

• 39:54Speaker 01

  You ain't lying, big man.

• 39:55H. Foley?

  Things start adding up.

• 39:56Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 39:56H. Foley?

You know what I'm saying? I wish I could go back and tell my younger self, if you're gonna do a little banking, make sure you save your money, make sure you do it right, watch out for bank fees, all that kinda stuff. I'll tell you what I really wish. I could go back and say, "Hey, I wish I had Chime."

• 40:11Speaker 01

I know. Listen, if, if you're out there, this is where Chime comes in. Chime is changing the way people bank. It's hard, listen, it's hard enough to keep a buck as it is. Then you got these big corporate banks-

• 40:22H. Foley?

  Amen.

• 40:22Speaker 01

  -coming after ya.

• 40:23H. Foley?

  Overdraft fees.

• 40:25Speaker 01

Overdraft fee, uh, monthly statement, that eh, oh, oh, five, five dollars for this, ten dollars for that. They got their hand in your pocket.

• 40:31H. Foley?

  Mm-hmm.

• 40:31Speaker 01

• 41:18H. Foley?

  You missing any teeth?

• 41:20Speaker 02

No, well, no, but this is chipped. This is bonded, the front one. I cracked my tooth in New Orleans at a buddy's bachelor party.

• 41:25Speaker 01

  Nice.

• 41:26Speaker 02

  Yeah, and it

• 41:27Speaker 01

  It fell?

• 41:27Speaker 02

And I was high on mushrooms and I, uh, uh, there's two different versions of this. I cracked it on the, what I imagine I loosened it on, that we were at a crawfish boil. And people are crawfish shells aren't hard. Yeah, but there were other shit in there too. And I bit on a shell, cracked my fucking tooth, uh, or chipped it, whatever. And, uh, stoned, I put a beer bottle to my face.

• 41:52Speaker 01

That's got my front tooth. I, I chipped them. Beer bottles.

• 41:55Speaker 02

And so it was half gone and, and I was on mushrooms and, and, uh, that was a tough day. Because everybody was like, it's not that bad. But in your mind, it's like, it's so bad. Everyone's gonna look at me. Everyone's gonna see my cracked tooth. And I was freaking out. I kept touching it. Uh, every, and then we went to get, uh, po boy sandwiches and the, and the dude working there. He was like, man, what's up with your mouth? Cause I, I kept going like this. He was a Chinese guy, Chinese guy.

• 42:20Speaker 01

Known for the po bo sandwiches.

• 42:21Speaker 02

He goes, what's up with your mouth? And I go, oh, sorry, my crap, I cracked my tooth. And he was like, oh, yeah? How? And I was like, I was at a crawfish boil and I was fucked up and da, da, da. And he was like, oh, man, that's New Orleans. And I was like, all right. And I feel, I felt a lot better about it. As if he'd heard the story before.

• 42:34Speaker 01

Yeah, like you're the ninth guy.

• 42:35Speaker 02

Yeah, he's like, oh, that'll happen. You're like, all right. And I, so this is bonded. And then I've got, uh, chipped, I have a lot of chips in a lot of my teeth. Like, these are all chipped. This is chipped.

• 42:45H. Foley?

  I'm missing three.

• 42:46Speaker 02

  Yeah. Three?

• 42:47H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 42:48Speaker 01

I would do a recount on that.

• 42:51H. Foley?

  Get that on Kaochi.

• 42:52Speaker 02

I would have taken the over.

• 42:54Speaker 01

Get it on Kaochi. Live betting on your teeth?

• 42:56H. Foley?

I'm missing three over here, one over here.

• 42:58Speaker 02

  From what?

• 42:58H. Foley?

  Lacrosse balls.

• 43:00Speaker 01

  That's what he tells people.

• 43:01H. Foley?

That's what I tell people. The three of them were bad root canals that went, root canals that went bad.

• 43:05Speaker 02

I had one that was bad. And I also, every time I go to a dentist, they ask me to get out my wisdom.

• 43:09H. Foley?

  Mine are in there too.

• 43:09Speaker 02

I got them all. I got them all and I refused. I said, is it a health concern? They were like, no. I'm like, well then what's the?

• 43:14Speaker 01

They're trying to upsell you. I know.

• 43:16H. Foley?

Are you sore every once in a while when it creeps in a little bit? I get, my, mine, my one up here creeps in.

• 43:20Speaker 02

  They're not growing anymore. They're done. You're too, you're old. It's over.

• 43:23H. Foley?

No, mine, mine, mine's still going in.

• 43:24Speaker 02

  Really?

• 43:24H. Foley?

  I swear to God.

• 43:25Speaker 02

  You're a growing boy.

• 43:26H. Foley?

  There.

• 43:26Speaker 02

Yeah. Well, wait till you hit your growth spurt. It's coming.

• 43:29Speaker 01

I don't want to see that.

• 43:30Speaker 02

Play college basketball. Are you still eligible?

• 43:33H. Foley?

  I have two years eligibility.

• 43:34Speaker 02

Let's get you back. This is the college sports I want to see. Him going back to play two years? Where are those teams? That's more fun.

• 43:41H. Foley?

  That's a last chance.

• 43:41Speaker 01

  That was a good movie.

• 43:43Speaker 02

Last Chance You, is that what he has?

• 43:44Speaker 01

No, it was a while ago.

• 43:45H. Foley?

  I know, not the replacements.

• 43:47Speaker 01

No, he was the, was it Scott Baio?

• 43:50Speaker 02

Longest Yard was kind of like that, right?

• 43:51H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 43:52Speaker 01

  Oh, Necessary Roughness.

• 43:54H. Foley?

  Right.

• 43:55Speaker 02

Was that Scott Baio? No, that's, um...

• 43:59H. Foley?

  God damn it.

• 44:00Speaker 02

  What's that kid's name? I see him.

• 44:01H. Foley?

He was in the program, no, uh...

• 44:04Speaker 02

  Who was it?

• 44:04H. Foley?

  Do it, Luke.

• 44:07Speaker 02

  Scott Bakula.

• 44:09Speaker 01

  Bakula! I was close.

• 44:11H. Foley?

  Fuck!

• 44:11Speaker 02

  You were. Two different Scots.

• 44:13H. Foley?

Scott Bakula, his father is a newscaster in Philadelphia. That's the guy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, right?

• 44:19Speaker 01

  That's Dracula.

• 44:21H. Foley?

Scott Bakula, no, Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap?

• 44:26Speaker 02

His dad is a newscaster in Philly?

• 44:27H. Foley?

No, the kid that plays, the kid from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

• 44:30Speaker 01

We entered what we just call Foleyville.

• 44:32H. Foley?

The kid that plays down there. The kid that was Buffy the Vampire Slayer that got his own show, his dad is a newscaster in Philadelphia. Scott Bakula is from fucking...

• 44:40Speaker 01

He's old. This is an old movie.

• 44:42H. Foley?

  Is it?

• 44:42Speaker 01

Yeah, dude, it's from like 92 probably.

• 44:44H. Foley?

Okay, then it's probably Scott Bakula.

• 44:46Speaker 01

Dude, he's looking at the internet, it's Scott Bakula.

• 44:48Speaker 02

  He's cruising.

• 44:49H. Foley?

Quantum Leap, you ever see Quantum Leap?

• 44:50Speaker 02

  Yeah, I like Quantum Leap.

• 44:51H. Foley?

  Loved it.

• 44:52Speaker 02

  Yeah, you really did.

• 44:52H. Foley?

Yeah, when they found out at the end that it was God doing it the whole time?

• 44:55Speaker 02

  What?

• 44:58H. Foley?

  Gotta get on Tubi.

• 44:59Speaker 02

  Spoiler, dude.

• 45:00H. Foley?

  Bat the Burger.

• 45:01Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 45:02H. Foley?

  You're having a hamburger.

• 45:04Speaker 02

  Hmm.

• 45:04H. Foley?

Okay, take a bite of it, you put it back on the plate, are you putting it upside down on the plate? Or are you putting it normal side down on the plate?

• 45:14Speaker 01

  Like a backo.

• 45:16Speaker 02

  A Scott Bakula burger?

• 45:18H. Foley?

How do you put the burger back?

• 45:19Speaker 01

I heard about that in Mexico.

• 45:20Speaker 02

Most of the time, I imagine I put it down regular the way it came, but I'm thinking about it now, have I done it the other way?

• 45:26Speaker 01

Well, sometimes if you have a brioche and it's a juicy burger, you don't want the bottom to get too thin and slimy.

• 45:32Speaker 02

Yeah, I do think maybe sometimes I do, but it depends on the accoutrement. Are the fries on my plate or are they separate in a basket?

• 45:37Speaker 01

  Oh.

• 45:38Speaker 02

What do you prefer? Separate in a basket?

• 45:40H. Foley?

  Is that right?

• 45:41Speaker 02

I'll tell you why. Fries are for the... The table and so I'd like to get two to two or three different kinds of fries. Right? If I get my own fries with the burger, she gets sometimes drenched in the burger juice, which is nice. But also fries over the table and I know they'll have garlic parm fries. They'll have like a regular. They'll have a. I like the different variations. Sweet potato. I get all the kinds of fries for the whole table.

• 46:00Speaker 01

Garlic parm fries are the trashiest fries.

• 46:02Speaker 02

Yeah, they're the trashiest, but I do like them.

• 46:03Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 46:04H. Foley?

Trashiest fries are truffle oil fries.

• 46:06Speaker 02

Yeah, well, they over truff them. They they put too much truff. The the the king of all of the potatoes are is the tater tot. There's no doubt in my mind. If they have tater tots.

• 46:14Speaker 01

  You tot up?

• 46:15Speaker 02

I'm totting over every kind of fry you've got. And the only fry that can compete is a curly fry, but that has to be from Arby's. Cause nobody does it like Arby's. Arby's is the best curly fry that's ever been produced.

• 46:26Speaker 01

You're not wrong. This guy's good.

• 46:27Speaker 02

They need to do Arby's fries at other restaurants. Like Arby's needs to do, you know how they do like Taco Bell KFC? They need to have Arby's fries at other locations.

• 46:35Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 46:35Speaker 02

  Just sell just the fries.

• 46:36Speaker 01

  Just license them. License them.

• 46:37Speaker 02

I they why? Cause the flavoring that they put on those things and they're perfect long curls. They're like the Jewish kids.

• 46:43Speaker 01

  Thick too, yeah. The payas.

• 46:44Speaker 02

  The payas. Yeah. Same thing.

• 46:45H. Foley?

  Made in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

• 46:47Speaker 02

That's right. That's right. Yeah, have to have to. But the burger, also, this is a better question for you two boys. Are you cutting the burger in half or are you eating it as a whole? Cause I'm gonna guess right now.

• 46:57H. Foley?

  Go ahead.

• 46:58Speaker 02

  Whole cutter.

• 47:01Speaker 01

I don't cut. I've gotten it and sometimes they've come out.

• 47:05Speaker 02

  Come cut.

• 47:05Speaker 01

  I don't mind it.

• 47:06H. Foley?

  We're cut.

• 47:07Speaker 02

  You're cut?

• 47:08H. Foley?

  I'm cut.

• 47:09Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 47:09H. Foley?

  No, I mean.

• 47:10Speaker 02

Yeah, you're cut. I can tell. I'm looking at it right now.

• 47:12H. Foley?

  What?

• 47:12Speaker 02

See here. See that helmet poking out, looking at me.

• 47:14Speaker 01

  Mine grew back.

• 47:15H. Foley?

  Hello, sir?

• 47:16Speaker 02

  Thank you for your service.

• 47:17H. Foley?

I enjoy when I think of it to cut.

• 47:21Speaker 01

  It's a little classier.

• 47:22Speaker 02

  I don't like to cut.

• 47:23Speaker 01

  I I don't. I don't do it.

• 47:24Speaker 02

Here's why I don't like to cut. You're leaking all the juice. It doesn't make sense. Keep the juice contained. It's also why. Hot take controversial statement. I don't like smash burgers. I don't like them.

• 47:34H. Foley?

  Dude, get out of here.

• 47:35Speaker 02

You gave me burnt meat for $19.

• 47:37Speaker 01

We're off. We're off the smashies.

• 47:38Speaker 02

  It's a it was a scam.

• 47:39H. Foley?

It's just gotten too big. It's too.

• 47:41Speaker 02

Even when it started, I was the guy that was like, I don't think I like this. Everyone's like. They couldn't believe it because it became a trend. It's just a burnt burger.

• 47:49Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 47:50Speaker 02

I want the meat to be medium rare. I want I want it red without, red throughout, juice, all that juice. So when you cut it. You're kinda screwing up the juice dude, you're letting it leak. Smash Burger smashes all the good out. I do not understand.

• 48:04H. Foley?

  The classy guy over here.

• 48:05Speaker 02

I just know I'm picky with burgers cuz I'm a big burger dog. I love burgers.

• 48:09H. Foley?

You and the misses, uh, out to dinner. Are we sharing everything?

• 48:14Speaker 02

You know, as you get older, yeah, you start to, you start to just order for both of you. Cuz it's nice, you get to try more shit.

• 48:20H. Foley?

  I love it.

• 48:20Speaker 02

Back in the day, it was like eat my own meal, but now I'm like, nah, we should, cuz I wanna try that pasta, but I also want the chicken parm. And so let's split and share. Sometimes when we're feeling real fun, if we like hiked together that day or worked out together, we'll get a third dish.

• 48:34Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 48:34Speaker 02

  Get a third dish.

• 48:35Speaker 01

Good for you. You've earned it.

• 48:36Speaker 02

  Well.

• 48:37Speaker 01

  You're a dirty little girl.

• 48:38H. Foley?

I'm happy for you. The ice cream, the split, another thing.

• 48:40Speaker 02

And you gotta tip well, take care of the people, and then they take care of you. And this is from the, this is from the kitchen. I love those.

• 48:47Speaker 01

We had, we had, we had a bit of a tipping, tipping fiasco this week.

• 48:51Speaker 02

  What happened?

• 48:52H. Foley?

No. Oh. No. This is, what? This has been discussed.

• 48:59H. Foley?

We go out to a nice joint, alright, over there.

• 49:01Speaker 01

  Out here for Hollywood meetings.

• 49:03H. Foley?

Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills meeting over there, meet with some people.

• 49:06Speaker 02

You don't wanna name the joint?

• 49:07Speaker 01

  The restaurant or the agency?

• 49:09Speaker 02

The joint, but let me, the restaurant, but can you give me the first letter?

• 49:13Speaker 01

  E? Asha?

• 49:14H. Foley?

  Irvna.

• 49:15Speaker 01

  I mean, I don't mind saying it.

• 49:16H. Foley?

  It's called Irvna.

• 49:17Speaker 01

  Avra.

• 49:18Speaker 02

  Oh, Avra. Oh, yeah.

• 49:19H. Foley?

  You know it?

• 49:20Speaker 02

These guys, holy shit. Ershna? Irvna? You're naming all the agents you met with?

• 49:26Speaker 01

  Avi Silverstein.

• 49:27Speaker 02

  Avi, Irv, Ava?

• 49:29H. Foley?

  Fendermans. Corned beef, oh chill.

• 49:31Speaker 02

  So what happened?

• 49:33H. Foley?

Uh, we go over there, nice place, um...

• 49:36Speaker 01

I would like to know how you, let's say you and Bobby were out and this hap- I would love to see.

• 49:42H. Foley?

Waiter recognizes, it's not our waiter, another waiter recognizes, comes over and says, hey guys, save room for dessert.

• 49:48Speaker 01

  Very classy. That's cool.

• 49:49H. Foley?

Walked away. Save room for dessert. Um, we have our meal, check, you know, I say here, put it on this, which I tend to try to be Johnny Big Shot in those situations.

• 50:01Speaker 02

  It's a shared credit card. It's a company card.

• 50:03Speaker 01

  But he wants the credit.

• 50:04Speaker 02

  Right.

• 50:05Speaker 01

So he jumps at it. When he, when he can look cool, he takes over.

• 50:08Speaker 02

And wait a minute, timeout. This is in, with the agents?

• 50:10H. Foley?

  No.

• 50:10Speaker 02

No. Okay, okay, when you said we got, okay.

• 50:12Speaker 01

  This was after the meeting.

• 50:14Speaker 02

  Right.

• 50:14H. Foley?

Yes. Which was a lunch meeting, but, um, no, kidding.

• 50:18Speaker 02

  A bang bang.

• 50:19Speaker 01

We needed to have our own lunch to debrief.

• 50:21Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:23H. Foley?

Check comes over. Um, you know, it's the toast thing, the, the.

• 50:27Speaker 02

  Yeah, toast tab.

• 50:28H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 50:28Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:29H. Foley?

  Uh, eighteen, twenty, twenty-five.

• 50:31Speaker 02

  Sure.

• 50:31H. Foley?

  I do custom.

• 50:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 50:33H. Foley?

Okay. Um, put a hundred on there.

• 50:37Speaker 01

  A hundred on.

• 50:37H. Foley?

  A hundred. Twenty-five was maybe seventy-something.

• 50:42Speaker 02

  Hmm.

• 50:43H. Foley?

Um, I, I do a hundred, thinking that's good. He leaves, then the dessert hits the table. Okay, we knew it was coming, but then there's the delicious, some type of butter cake toffee thing. Unbelievable.

• 50:54Speaker 02

  Butter cake's so good.

• 50:55H. Foley?

  Unbelievable.

• 50:56Speaker 02

But a Mastro's butter cake's the best butter cake in the world. I don't know if you've ever had that.

• 50:58H. Foley?

That's not real butter cake though. There's butter cake in Philly that, that is, has a.

• 51:02Speaker 02

Whatever you say, I'm gonna eat it. I'm still gonna eat it, it's phenomenal.

• 51:05H. Foley?

Has a goo on top, you'd love it. Next time you're in Philly, I'll take it, I'll take.

• 51:08Speaker 01

There are little bitch like you would love it.

• 51:09H. Foley?

  Yeah, it's so good.

• 51:11Speaker 02

Man, you're a great salesman. There's a goo on top. You're gonna love it.

• 51:16Speaker 01

You're gonna like the goo you got, I guarantee it.

• 51:20H. Foley?

I checked with him, I gave him a hundred, and Kevin was like, that's fucking awesome, thinking the bill was two hundred.

• 51:24Speaker 01

I was thinking the bill was, I think the bill was two hundred.

• 51:27Speaker 02

  Right.

• 51:27Speaker 01

I had chicken and a diet coke.

• 51:29H. Foley?

I was a little, I was a little peckish that day. So, I got a, uh, I got a kefaleteri. No, I got a saganaki with kefaleteri and cheese, you know, the Greek joint, Greek joint. Uh, we got some dips, tuna mousseline, fucking all that.

• 51:42Speaker 01

And with the buddy, the dips, the dips didn't get us there, you're really fucking, it wasn't the hummus or the tahini.

• 51:48H. Foley?

And then, like I said, I was a little hungry. I'm not drinking, okay?

• 51:52Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 51:53H. Foley?

  I'm, I'm down seventy-five pounds.

• 51:54Speaker 02

I'm not your therapist, you can just, it's, like, I don't care.

• 51:56H. Foley?

  Stems from my childhood.

• 51:57Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 51:58H. Foley?

So, I said, you guys got any Kumamotos? It's an oyster.

• 52:01Speaker 02

  Mm-hmm.

• 52:02H. Foley?

  You know Kumamoto?

• 52:03Speaker 01

No. Expensive. Apparently, we, we looked it up, it's the most expensive oyster.

• 52:06H. Foley?

I got a dozen of them.

• 52:07Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 52:08H. Foley?

And then I had the scallops.

• 52:09Speaker 02

  Okay.

• 52:10H. Foley?

Turns out the bill was about four hundred and thirty-five dollars.

• 52:12Speaker 02

  And they took stuff off?

• 52:13H. Foley?

  No, dessert was free.

• 52:16Speaker 02

But wait a minute, how was the bill, the twenty percent so low on that bill? Cause you said you looked at twenty and it was only seventy.

• 52:22H. Foley?

  Seventy, eighty-something, maybe?

• 52:23Speaker 02

  Okay, sure.

• 52:24H. Foley?

  I put a hundred down.

• 52:25Speaker 02

  Sure.

• 52:26H. Foley?

  He's like, that's not enough.

• 52:27Speaker 02

  Who said that?

• 52:28H. Foley?

  Kevin.

• 52:29Speaker 01

Well, I'm, no, I'm thinking the hundred. I'm thinking the hundred on two hundred. I didn't realize it was 400 and something dollars.

• 52:37Speaker 02

Well, I didn't either because you threw me. You said that 20% would have been 70 dollars.

• 52:41Speaker 01

Wait, so maybe we got to the bottom of this. Maybe it was three something and with the 70.

• 52:46Speaker 02

  That's right.

• 52:46Speaker 01

With your, with your hundred dollar tip, it came to three something.

• 52:49H. Foley?

No, it was definitely 400 dollar bill. Anyway, I, I, I tipped too low, which I usually don't do, but I didn't know.

• 52:57Speaker 02

But if it was a 400 dollar bill, that would have been 80 dollar tip and you gave him still 20 dollars more than you should have.

• 53:01H. Foley?

Yeah, but we're big on the, you know, the recognize.

• 53:03Speaker 01

We're dirtbags and we don't have any, we're, we're uncouth.

• 53:07H. Foley?

  30, 40, 50 percent.

• 53:08Speaker 02

I would argue if it's just you two guys, a hundred dollars is a very solid tip.

• 53:12H. Foley?

  He was here too.

• 53:13Speaker 01

  Rich kid.

• 53:14Speaker 02

Oh, should have been 200 then.

• 53:15H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 53:16Speaker 02

  You fucked up.

• 53:16H. Foley?

So he had to go around and he, he greased the guy that, that, you know, recognized to give dessert and greased the kid again.

• 53:22Speaker 02

  Fine, that's great. That's.

• 53:23Speaker 01

But he wanted, he didn't have any cash. I go, I'll clean it. I'll clean up this mess with cash.

• 53:27Speaker 02

  Sure.

• 53:28Speaker 01

Right? I'm an operator. I got cash.

• 53:29H. Foley?

I wanted him to give me the cash so I could do it.

• 53:31Speaker 01

He wanted me to give him.

• 53:32H. Foley?

  What do you mean no?

• 53:33Speaker 02

  You already screwed up.

• 53:34Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 53:35Speaker 02

He's got to fix your problem. He's the fox. This guy's got to fix it. He's the, the new wolf. He's the fox. The fox has to fix it.

• 53:41H. Foley?

He's been doing a lot of that.

• 53:42Speaker 02

Yeah. No, you know what? You, you, you, the tipping thing is, yeah, like we went out to a restaurant last week and I asked for a bourbon list and the guy.

• 53:51H. Foley?

  You in the mists?

• 53:52Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 53:52H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 53:52Speaker 02

And the guy said, guy said, we don't, uh, we have a bourbon list, but I can tell you some of the stuff if you, if you ask for something. So I asked for a kind. And I think I saw EH Taylor. I said, I love that. That'd be great. And then the guy said.

• 54:04H. Foley?

  He an actor?

• 54:05Speaker 02

  Yeah, he was.

• 54:06Speaker 01

  He lives around here.

• 54:07Speaker 02

He's a Scott Bakula's brother. And I think he said.

• 54:10H. Foley?

  Was his soulmate too.

• 54:11Speaker 02

Oh, we don't have that, but whatever, whatever. And then, and then I said, well, how about this? And then I said something else. And then he comes back and he's like, dude, I screwed up. We don't have that either. I said, okay. Cause the manager's going to come over. Manager comes over. He's like, hey, can I break you off a bottle of like a special collection? It's like a 480 dollar bottle. And I was like, oh dude, you don't have to. And he was like, no, no, it's on me. It's like, you know, we appreciate fan, but whatever, whatever. So he pours me a little sniffer of it, which is nice. And that's all I wanted was one little, whatever. Then they only charge us for like one dish, whatever. And so

• 54:40Speaker 01

This is where you get in the weeds.

• 54:41Speaker 02

So then, yeah, then I had to over tip. So then what I thought was, alright, so then I always have cash. So I said, well, what do I tip them? And her and I were going back and forth over what's appropriate because the total bill probably would have been, if I paid for that glass of that and everything, yeah, three hundred dollars, some odd dollars, something like that. So we were doing the math total and I said, a hundred is nice, but 200 is a thank you also to the manager and the thing, right?

• 55:10Speaker 01

  Very smart.

• 55:10Speaker 02

Because he'll tell the manager. It is like, oh, he gave me more money because of the whiskey that you gave and then everybody's happy and he broke open his personal bottle. So two, two was the way to go.

• 55:19Speaker 01

  Very smart.

• 55:20Speaker 02

Now, do I want to do that?

• 55:22Speaker 01

Nah. I wanted to do 18%.

• 55:24Speaker 02

Yeah, I, I, I want to give a standard nice tip, but that you have

• 55:28Speaker 01

  Yeah, you have to go

• 55:29Speaker 02

Well, sometimes when they give it to you, you got it. You don't have it. You, they've kind of forced your hand.

• 55:33H. Foley?

  Gentleman.

• 55:33Speaker 02

It's amazing. They, they go all in.

• 55:35Speaker 01

  Gentleman. You're, you're, you are a gentleman.

• 55:37Speaker 02

I try, but then there's restaurants that I, you know, that are run of the mill and I just do the 20% and we move on 25, whatever. I don't do 20. I, I'm almost always over, but like, you just give the 25 or 30% and you move on your way, right? It's sometimes I'm like, eh, it's just a little whatever joint I gotta go.

• 55:51Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 55:52Speaker 02

Yeah, but if they recognize you?

• 55:53Speaker 01

  You got to.

• 55:54Speaker 02

Forget about it. You're done. You're, you are cooked. They will go, you know those are you garbage guys?

• 55:59Speaker 01

  They are really trash.

• 55:59Speaker 02

They gave me 30 bucks. Yeah.

• 56:01H. Foley?

Had a situation like that a couple of years ago. I'm in Hawaii with my, with my wife. Um, I'm happy for all your happiness.

• 56:08Speaker 02

  Alright dude.

• 56:10Speaker 01

Also, what do you think of the boots?

• 56:11Speaker 02

  Hate them.

• 56:14Speaker 02

Hate them. And the way they do it, well, they're also this, doing this with your feet like a little boy. I didn't like either. You're touching it. He was going like this, his little feet together.

• 56:21Speaker 01

  Dude, he sat down.

• 56:22H. Foley?

Side of my foot hurts because he's

• 56:23Speaker 02

You're not a cowboy boot guy. I'll say that.

• 56:25H. Foley?

  These aren't cowboy boots.

• 56:26Speaker 02

Any boot is a cowboy boot to me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're either cowboy boots or work boots. What's it, what is

• 56:31H. Foley?

  These don't look good.

• 56:31Speaker 02

What are they called? What, what would those be called?

• 56:34H. Foley?

  I got them at DSW.

• 56:35Speaker 02

  Oh, DSW boots.

• 56:37Speaker 01

  They're the house brand.

• 56:38Speaker 02

Let me see how high they go. Lift them up.

• 56:42Speaker 02

Oh, right. Right, Nike socks. Yeah. Well, the Nike socks makes it nice.

• 56:47Speaker 01

I saw him staring at them. Dude, you sat down and he went.

• 56:50Speaker 02

  I just, I don't, I can't. How about this? You look good. I can't wear them.

• 56:54Speaker 01

  What do you mean?

• 56:55Speaker 02

  I would never wear those.

• 56:56Speaker 01

I do. They have grown on me and the more worn they get, I think they look better.

• 57:00Speaker 02

Well, if you wear them, they look good, but, but new, a new boot is always a funny thing.

• 57:05H. Foley?

These are like two weeks old.

• 57:06Speaker 01

Yeah, he's really put them through the wringer. We walk here.

• 57:09Speaker 02

What are you, running through fields? What's going on? Those are so mixed up.

• 57:12H. Foley?

  I'm working the ranch.

• 57:13Speaker 01

They do look better as they've aged.

• 57:15Speaker 02

That's like six months of work. I like, I'm a sneaker guy. I don't really, I can't do boots. Dress shoes, if it's an occasion, but outside of that, I'm doing sneakers always.

• 57:23Speaker 01

How many dress shoes do you have?

• 57:25Speaker 02

I have one pair of wedding dress shoes. Nice.

• 57:29Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 57:30H. Foley?

What's a wedding dress shoe? Like a tuxedo?

• 57:31Speaker 02

A really high end dress shoe, just for weddings and special occasions.

• 57:34H. Foley?

Tom McCann, what do you got?

• 57:36Speaker 02

  Ferragamo.

• 57:37H. Foley?

  Ferragamo?

• 57:39Speaker 02

Yeah, you might not even know who that is.

• 57:40H. Foley?

  I like his old stuff.

• 57:42Speaker 02

He's an Italian composer. Uh, Ferragamo, one pair of nice Ferragamo.

• 57:46Speaker 01

  Sabato Ferragamo.

• 57:47Speaker 02

Sabato Ferragamo. Just in case, just for a nice wedding thing, but outside of that too, dress shoes, I don't, I mean, I probably have a couple of other dumpy ones laying around, but when do I have to, when do I wear dress shoes?

• 57:56H. Foley?

  How many suits you got?

• 57:58Speaker 01

  A Hollywood guy.

• 57:59H. Foley?

  Hollywood guy.

• 58:00Speaker 01

  Four. That's not, that's good.

• 58:02H. Foley?

You want to tie a tie?

• 58:03Speaker 01

  Got to.

• 58:04Speaker 02

  Tie a tie?

• 58:05H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 58:05Speaker 02

  Brother.

• 58:06H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 58:06Speaker 02

I could do three, I can do a half Windsor. I could do, I can.

• 58:09Speaker 01

  Do a full Windsor?

• 58:10Speaker 02

I can do a full Windsor.

• 58:10Speaker 01

  I'd do a Pratt myself.

• 58:11Speaker 02

No, see, I like, I, I think a half, half is for.

• 58:15H. Foley?

  Bless you.

• 58:16Speaker 02

Thank you. Half is for, um, certain occasions. Full is for, for something a little bit more.

• 58:21H. Foley?

  What would they be?

• 58:22Speaker 02

Full is like, if it's like, um, uh, wedding, graduation, that a half is like, it's a business thing. I gotta wear, they want me to wear a, it's jacket and tie thing. It's a meeting.

• 58:34H. Foley?

You want to do the top button on the suit and let the tie hang down a little bit?

• 58:38Speaker 02

  No.

• 58:39H. Foley?

  No.

• 58:39Speaker 02

  No, you button that button.

• 58:40H. Foley?

  Keep a button up.

• 58:40Speaker 02

Yeah, be a man, button the button. That's insane. The top button, that's for hockey coaches. They, they're allowed to do that.

• 58:47Speaker 01

  Oh, my.

• 58:48H. Foley?

  God, that's so true.

• 58:49Speaker 01

  That's fucking great, dude.

• 58:50Speaker 02

It's the only guy that's allowed to do that.

• 58:51H. Foley?

  Yeah, they do it too.

• 58:52Speaker 02

I'm sorry about the Flyers last night.

• 58:54Speaker 01

  Yeah, tough one.

• 58:55Speaker 02

Well, Connie came over, we were watching, I was bummed.

• 58:57Speaker 01

I watched the first game with them.

• 58:58Speaker 02

Did not, I was bummed, dude. I was like, Jesus Christ.

• 59:01H. Foley?

I don't pretend to be a hockey guy, I'm not a hockey guy, and when it comes to the Flyers, I treat that as sacred to the city of Philadelphia where I would never hop on that bandwagon now that they're in the playoffs, because...

• 59:15Speaker 02

Why not? You're from the, you're allowed to be a Philly fan.

• 59:17H. Foley?

  I know, but...

• 59:18Speaker 01

It is such a specific core group of fans in the city.

• 59:21H. Foley?

The Philadelphia Flyers fan is a particular type of Philly trash.

• 59:26Speaker 02

But this is every city sports team.

• 59:27H. Foley?

I know, but they, they, they're...

• 59:29Speaker 02

But I disagree. If you're from the city, that's your fucking team.

• 59:31H. Foley?

I feel like that's, that's real hockey fan.

• 59:34Speaker 01

It is, but he's just like out of respect.

• 59:35H. Foley?

Out of respect for the Flyers, out of respect for the people that are diehard fans that live and die by it, this is their time.

• 59:41Speaker 02

Okay, I'm a diehard Cubs fan. I, I love the Cubs. I watch, I watch 70% of their games probably.

• 59:47H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 59:47Speaker 02

They're always on my TV. My cousin and I share season tickets. I, we have the app because of it. We, I always put a game on in the background even, if I'm doing a lot of shit. If someone becomes a Cubs fan, if we make it to the playoffs, I don't care because it's a Chicago love thing. So it doesn't bother me.

• 1:00:05H. Foley?

I'm the same way with the Phillies.

• 1:00:06Speaker 02

  And I'm never gonna be like, who's pitching tonight? And they don't know. And I, I, I don't, I don't care.

• 1:00:10H. Foley?

I'm the same way with the Phillies.

• 1:00:11Speaker 01

Philly has that, but Philly's a baseball and football town. The Flyers is such a subset in Philly, it's like...

• 1:00:17Speaker 02

Yeah, you mean it's a different, a different kind of guy?

• 1:00:19Speaker 01

It's like, it's like, it's like an independent band, kind of, yeah, it's just like...

• 1:00:22Speaker 02

And you, you didn't listen to the album?

• 1:00:23Speaker 01

  Yeah, you can't hop...

• 1:00:24Speaker 02

You don't know their first album?

• 1:00:25Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:26Speaker 02

Yeah, I get that. It's a little bit more...

• 1:00:27H. Foley?

They've been living and dying by, I mean, Flyers.

• 1:00:29Speaker 02

Well, we've had so much pain in Chicago, I don't think we give a fuck who jumps on because we just want the, we just want the glory again.

• 1:00:35Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.

• 1:00:35Speaker 02

So we've just lived through so much shit. You know, the Bulls are, are, are owned by a nightmare, and that's why the White Sox suck too. And so they just can't get out of their ass. And we had our glory days, and then since then, we're fighting upstream constantly. So it's like, if we do get to a good place, everyone gets happy.

• 1:00:51Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:00:51Speaker 02

  Like, everybody gets happy.

• 1:00:53Speaker 01

  Philly's the same.

• 1:00:53H. Foley?

Let me ask you this, as what I think is becoming... A classy guy. I think last time you were trash.

• 1:01:00Speaker 02

Yeah, could I be class now?

• 1:01:02H. Foley?

  I don't know. You're creeping there.

• 1:01:03Speaker 02

  I did park.

• 1:01:05Speaker 01

  He did block the driveway.

• 1:01:06H. Foley?

But I respect that because we're not moving. We're not coming out.

• 1:01:09Speaker 02

And that's your driveway and I can't get a ticket on your driveway.

• 1:01:12H. Foley?

  Very good.

• 1:01:13Speaker 02

  Also, this whole neighborhood.

• 1:01:14Speaker 01

  I don't own this place.

• 1:01:14Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:01:16Speaker 01

  You say it's our driveway.

• 1:01:17H. Foley?

  You're a Cubs fan.

• 1:01:18Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:01:18H. Foley?

Would you? How do you feel about wearing another baseball team's hat?

• 1:01:23Speaker 02

I don't know. I feel like we talked about this, but I have, I have, I have an interesting approach about it.

• 1:01:28H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:01:29Speaker 02

When I first started touring, I loved going to baseball games by myself or with an, well, I didn't, couldn't bring an opener.

• 1:01:35H. Foley?

  I got you.

• 1:01:35Speaker 02

So if a local guy, I'd be like, hey, man, you a baseball fan? And nine times out of 10 comics are like, no. And so you're like, well, I'll go by myself. So I would go by myself to games and I adored going to games by myself. I learned to like, love it and I would get a hat in every city. So I used to collect.

• 1:01:49Speaker 01

  That's fun.

• 1:01:49Speaker 02

And I've been to, I don't know. I think I'm, I'm only missing like, I don't even know a hand, literally a handful. And like, I've never been a new Yankee, but I don't know if that counts because I went to the old one. So I'm like, does that count if it's a new? I don't know. I don't know. But um, I don't, I do it. Uh, I'll just wear teams hats because I went to the stadium and I enjoyed it.

• 1:02:08H. Foley?

You wear a National League hat?

• 1:02:10Speaker 02

  I'm a National League guy.

• 1:02:11H. Foley?

  I know.

• 1:02:11Speaker 02

Oh, you're saying will I wear an AL team?

• 1:02:13H. Foley?

  No, as a National League.

• 1:02:15Speaker 02

Oh, wear another one? Well, I live in Los Angeles, so I wear LA hats sometimes because I live here. I live here, man, for 20 years. What am I gonna, I mean, I go to Dodger games a lot. So it's like, what am I supposed to do? Not where the, it's weird. I'm a transplant. So, but do I root for the Dodgers in that regard? No, I like them. I'll go to games. It's fun to go to baseball games, but I can't go to my home team. But I'll wear like, yeah, I'll wear other National League teams hats. Yeah. It's all, it's actually dominant National League hats because I'm a National League fan. So I know those teams more. But like, will I pop on and, and well, it's interesting. Like I'll never wear an Angels hat.

• 1:02:48H. Foley?

I want to get an Angels hat.

• 1:02:50Speaker 02

Yeah, I would never wear that. I also don't respect the team. I don't like anything about them. I think it's, I have to kind of like your team and I'll wear your hat. I have a Phillies hat. I wear that sometimes. I get ragged on for that. I bought my first Yankees hat not too long ago, which I was shocked that I did. But I just, I was like, it's also, I don't know. I like it. Also, I have to like your, I have to like your, your. I like, I like the city or also like the symbol of this.

• 1:03:12H. Foley?

  The, the design.

• 1:03:12Speaker 02

Team, right? Like Baltimore Orioles is such a good hat.

• 1:03:15H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:16Speaker 02

Undeniably good hat. Some teams have great hats. Miami, stupid hat, shitty hat, whack, that M sucks.

• 1:03:21H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:22Speaker 02

Sucks. Some teams, Phillies, great fucking hat. Yankees, undeniably one of the best hats.

• 1:03:27H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:27Speaker 02

It, it just whether you like them or not. Mets, stinks, dumb hat.

• 1:03:30H. Foley?

  Really?

• 1:03:30Speaker 02

I think about Seinfeld every time I think about a Mets hat and I'm like, no thanks, I don't like that. It's like Billy Crystal and Seinfeld. It's like the two guys that I'm like.

• 1:03:37H. Foley?

  I like that.

• 1:03:38Speaker 02

They're good guys, but like, I don't know, that's who wears it. Like guys who wear suits with sneakers. I'm like, that's not it.

• 1:03:43Speaker 01

It's not the epitome of cool.

• 1:03:44Speaker 02

No, exactly. It's just not it for me, but like.

• 1:03:46H. Foley?

Billy Crystal in the eighties playing a cop, playing a detective with the, with a shitty Mets hat on. I love that.

• 1:03:51Speaker 02

I'm out. I'd rather have Fletch wearing a, Fletch.

• 1:03:55H. Foley?

  Right.

• 1:03:55Speaker 02

Out here wearing the LA shit.

• 1:03:56H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 1:03:57Speaker 02

I love that. You know what I mean? Wearing that Lakers jersey. I was like, that's cool.

• 1:04:00H. Foley?

  Magnum wearing the Detroit.

• 1:04:02Speaker 02

Yeah, Detroit I can wear. Love, because I love that city. I fucking love Detroit. I can, I don't own a Brewers hat only, and I love Milwaukee and I love that city and I lo, and I love going up.

• 1:04:12H. Foley?

  Great hat.

• 1:04:13Speaker 02

Great hat, Brew Crew, but it's hard because they're our.

• 1:04:15H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 1:04:15Speaker 02

They're our little cousins. We can't, you can't do that. The only hat I will never buy, never own, never wear, refuse, garbage, trash, St. Louis Cardinals. You stink. Cause what do you mean? They're our arch nemesis and they have been forever.

• 1:04:28Speaker 01

  Coming out.

• 1:04:29Speaker 02

  Huh?

• 1:04:29Speaker 01

  That's the dirtbagging.

• 1:04:30Speaker 02

A hundred percent. I would never support these people. They're awful.

• 1:04:33H. Foley?

  Jerseys though.

• 1:04:34Speaker 02

Also made me learn to hate Joe Buck because he loves the Cardinals and I was, you know, every time I see him, I'm like, your dad was better. Your dad was better. I would love to dude. I'd love to say it to him.

• 1:04:45H. Foley?

He's grown on me in the years.

• 1:04:46Speaker 02

He hates the Cubs, so I fucking, I can't stand him.

• 1:04:48H. Foley?

My philosophy is I can wear any hat from the American League because there's no emotional attachment.

• 1:04:53Speaker 02

Sure. But American League, I would say National League leads, leads the, the MLB in cooler hats, better cities, more fun.

• 1:05:00H. Foley?

I like a Boston, I like a Red Sox hat.

• 1:05:03Speaker 02

Yeah, sure. I'll give it to them. Yeah. Red Sox and Yankees.

• 1:05:04H. Foley?

  Orioles.

• 1:05:05Speaker 02

I feel like Yankees and Red Sox aren't even AL teams. They're just good baseball teams.

• 1:05:09H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:05:10Speaker 02

I don't want to give them the association of some of the other AL squads, but we have some trash. Uh, we have Pittsburgh.

• 1:05:17H. Foley?

  Love a Pittsburgh hat though.

• 1:05:19Speaker 02

I'm fucking around dude. Dude, every time I make-

• 1:05:22Speaker 01

  Wowing up the comments.

• 1:05:23Speaker 02

When I make fun of Pittsburgh, they get so mad at me. Like in jest, I'll just be like, "I'm not going there dude, come to Philly." And people get mad.

• 1:05:30Speaker 01

  It's also like-

• 1:05:31H. Foley?

I love the Pirates though, I don't know why, I love them.

• 1:05:33Speaker 02

Hate them, they're in our division, I can't stand them. Also like Cincinnati Reds?

• 1:05:37H. Foley?

You don't like a Reds hat?

• 1:05:38Speaker 02

  What?

• 1:05:39H. Foley?

  What?

• 1:05:39Speaker 02

What? These are division dogs, I don't like these guys. You don't like anybody in your division?

• 1:05:43H. Foley?

That's not true, as a young man I didn't. But now as I'm older, like, I mean I fucking lived in Queens, I've been living in Queens for 15 years. I don't like the Mets, but I have love for them.

• 1:05:54Speaker 01

  He loves the Mets.

• 1:05:55H. Foley?

And I like going out there to the stadium.

• 1:05:56Speaker 01

  The Mets game's alright.

• 1:05:58Speaker 02

Well, it's easier for you to go to.

• 1:05:59Speaker 01

Yeah, we take it to New York for 15 whatever.

• 1:06:01H. Foley?

  I don't hate them.

• 1:06:02Speaker 02

Aren't, didn't they have the lowest tickets? Didn't they have the lowest tickets in a while? The Mets were trying to give them away.

• 1:06:07H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:06:07Speaker 02

It's a sad tale. God bless them.

• 1:06:09Speaker 01

Look at his face, his face is lighting up.

• 1:06:12Speaker 02

Well, the Mets, the Mets to me, for New York, are the White Sox for Chicago. It's like, I love to see them lose.

• 1:06:17Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:06:18Speaker 02

And I have a lot of friends that are White Sox fans. So if you're not into baseball, you could have tuned out about 35 minutes ago.

• 1:06:23Speaker 01

  And we're back.

• 1:06:24Speaker 02

  Sorry.

• 1:06:24Speaker 01

  No, all good.

• 1:06:25H. Foley?

  That's my fault.

• 1:06:25Speaker 01

I have one, it probably has to do, it probably will tie back to baseball or sports in somehow. What, growing up, who was the most famous person you met?

• 1:06:33H. Foley?

  Ever met.

• 1:06:33Speaker 01

Like it could, and it also could have just been like a radio DJ.

• 1:06:36Speaker 02

  First guy, oh that's-

• 1:06:38Speaker 01

Or just anybody where you were like, "Holy shit, that was a big deal."

• 1:06:40Speaker 02

Well, I met Mankow from Q101, who was a big radio DJ back then. You guys, you remember Mankow?

• 1:06:45Speaker 01

  I remember the name.

• 1:06:46Speaker 02

Yeah, he was very famous. I met him at a-

• 1:06:48Speaker 01

  From Q, what was it?

• 1:06:49Speaker 02

  Q101. Mankow was at a-

• 1:06:52H. Foley?

He was all over the country.

• 1:06:53Speaker 02

Yeah, yeah, but he was at a thing in Chicago, it was like a Halloween horror weekend party and they were DJing it. Or that, you know, Q101 hosted it. So we got to meet him there, that was kinda like maybe my first when I was a high schooler. I met, no, it's not true, this is not true, this is all a lie. My first famous person that I met was with my mom as a kid, when I was living in the city. And we were going to like a burger joint. And my mom didn't even recognize her, and I apologize, I forget her name, but it's the mother from The Wonder Years. The mom from The Wonder Years.

• 1:07:20H. Foley?

  Whoa!

• 1:07:21Speaker 02

She was eating, Google her, I can't remember her name because I'm dumb. And she signed, she signed on a napkin at the restaurant- For me and I had it my still it's in my baby book. My mom still has it.

• 1:07:29Speaker 01

  No shit.

• 1:07:30Speaker 02

But I said, Mom, that's the mom from Wonder Years. And my mom was like, I don't, I don't think that is babe. And I was like, I promise it is, it is. And I was kind of freaking out. My mom was like, I don't think that's her. And she was like, do you want to go say hi though? And I, she goes, you can, I don't think it is, but. And I went up, I said, are you, are you the mom from the Wonder Years? And she was like, I am. And my mom was like, oh shit. What's her name?

• 1:07:47Speaker 01

  Shout out Ally Mills.

• 1:07:48Speaker 02

  Huh?

• 1:07:48Speaker 01

  Ally Mills.

• 1:07:49Speaker 02

  Ally Mills.

• 1:07:50Speaker 01

  Ally Mills.

• 1:07:50Speaker 02

Beautiful blonde woman, cool. And she signed a little napkin for me. That was the first person I ever met. I had been. It was just me and my mom at the time. My stepdad wasn't there, so maybe seven or something like that.

• 1:07:59Speaker 01

  Wow, that's a great one.

• 1:08:01H. Foley?

First famous guy I've ever waited on when I moved to New York the first time.

• 1:08:04Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:08:04H. Foley?

Uh, probably, it was probably 1999. The dad from the Wonder Years.

• 1:08:08Speaker 02

How, oh, that dude, what a dad.

• 1:08:10H. Foley?

  Oh.

• 1:08:10Speaker 02

If you could, you couldn't have passed it a father.

• 1:08:12Speaker 01

  Cartoon character of a dad.

• 1:08:13Speaker 02

Dad. He was like Archie Bunker without the racism. You know what I mean? Like it was, he looked like a dad that everyone had. But I loved that show. I adored Wonder Years.

• 1:08:23H. Foley?

  Man.

• 1:08:23Speaker 02

And then I ended up working with Fred Savage. He directed an episode of a thing I did.

• 1:08:26Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:08:27Speaker 02

  It's kind of wild. Yeah.

• 1:08:28Speaker 01

  That's weird.

• 1:08:29Speaker 02

Yeah. He tried to fist fight me. I've.

• 1:08:30H. Foley?

  Is that true?

• 1:08:31Speaker 02

  No, I shouldn't make a clickbait thing.

• 1:08:34H. Foley?

I somehow had to set a balls to walk up to the dad from the one years and go, dad, what do you do at Norcom all day? And he's like, yeah, that's right. That's right. I waited on him. 10 years later in Philly.

• 1:08:44Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:08:45H. Foley?

And I was like, do you remember me? And he's like, nah.

• 1:08:48Speaker 02

Of course not, dude. That's insane. Do you remember me? I was the guy with the boots and the Nike socks.

• 1:08:54Speaker 02

Oh yeah. We made fun of you for weeks. No, yeah, that was my first famous.

• 1:08:57H. Foley?

  That's great.

• 1:08:58Speaker 02

  First famous.

• 1:08:58Speaker 01

  That's a fantastic one.

• 1:09:00Speaker 02

Yeah, she was cool. I'm trying to think if there was another one when I was a kid that was really kind of like.

• 1:09:03Speaker 01

  Mine was Mike Schmidt.

• 1:09:04Speaker 02

  Seriously?

• 1:09:05Speaker 01

  He had a hoagie.

• 1:09:06Speaker 02

  Huge.

• 1:09:06Speaker 01

He had a hoagie place in my hometown.

• 1:09:08Speaker 02

Oh, and he'd be in there. Which, all the time?

• 1:09:10Speaker 01

  Not all.

• 1:09:11Speaker 02

  Like, what's going on, Mike?

• 1:09:12Speaker 01

  You got a game today?

• 1:09:13Speaker 02

Mike. He's like, yeah, it's not till 4:30. Who cares? You're relaxed. You're fine, dude. Yeah. You got, they got, they got, they got a double header. He's like, look, in between the games, I gotta go to the shop. Gotta go to the shop and open it up.

• 1:09:25Speaker 01

  Every stock to walk in.

• 1:09:27H. Foley?

Did you have anybody like, like Schmidt that had like a hoagie shop in Chicago? Do you have?

• 1:09:30Speaker 01

Car dealer or something like that?

• 1:09:32Speaker 02

Well, they all had car dealer. I mean, those guys all had stuff like that, dude. They all had, I'm trying to think of what the most famous version of it was. Like they all, like, um.

• 1:09:40Speaker 02

Who had the most famous like, well, Michael Jordan's restaurant was like a big to do. I don't know if you even remember that.

• 1:09:45H. Foley?

Harry Carey's got a place, right?

• 1:09:46Speaker 02

Harry Carey, it's still there, I think. I don't even know if it's, it's gotta be still open. But Jordan shut down.

• 1:09:51Speaker 01

Mike Piazza has a bunch of Honda dealerships by us and my, my family refuses to buy a car from a Met.

• 1:09:59H. Foley?

  I asked him that.

• 1:10:00Speaker 02

  Good people.

• 1:10:00Speaker 01

No one in my, it's like, what are you nuts?

• 1:10:02Speaker 02

Well, that's like Elway owns half of Denver. You know, Elway owned, Elway D car dealerships are like, that's the whole city of Denver is Elway. He owns all that shit. My, my grandmother's, this is a weird car dealership. My grandmother's brother

• 1:10:17Speaker 02

was a very popular, owned a car dealership. My grandmother's brother, Joe Maddenford, Madden, people in Chicagoland might know it. And then he, then they sold it years later to like Auto Nation or one of those things. But I remember like they no, refused to not drive a Ford. Because her brother owned a car dealership. And it was a huge deal. If you didn't have a Ford, it was like, what are you out of your mind?

• 1:10:37Speaker 01

  Traitor.

• 1:10:38Speaker 02

You have to drive a Ford. We represent Ford. But those days of like loyalty to a brand, gone.

• 1:10:43Speaker 01

  Gone.

• 1:10:44Speaker 02

No one will ever have that again.

• 1:10:45Speaker 01

Whatever's cheapest, quickest, get it and go.

• 1:10:46Speaker 02

We don't have that thing anymore. Like I don't, my dad is big on it. He's still old school. My dad, dude. This is how you know my dad and I's relationship over like what I like versus what he likes. My dad drinks Pepsi. I like Coke. Do you know what I mean? It's like, that's everything in our world. I love McDonald's when I was a kid. He liked Burger King. We, it was almost like he did it deliberately. So we would fight about it. Like everything I liked, he wanted the other, he liked the other. If I liked a home jersey for the Cubs, he'd like the away colors. Yeah.

• 1:11:16Speaker 01

Guy's got it out for you.

• 1:11:17Speaker 02

Yeah. Well, he, we always were just such different, we always had like different tastes on everything. Music, everything. You know what I mean?

• 1:11:24H. Foley?

You can't jump in both worlds with the Coke and the Pepsi?

• 1:11:27Speaker 02

Coke was my entire childhood. McDonald's sold Coke. That's all I knew.

• 1:11:32Speaker 01

Yeah, yeah. Also, you're not, what are you, of course.

• 1:11:36Speaker 02

I'll drink, I'll drink anything, but Coke was my child, it was just my childhood. It like, by the way, when they had frozen Coke? At 7-Eleven, when they introduced frozen Coke, I was like, yeah, Slurpee, fine. But it used to be called frozen Coke.

• 1:11:49Speaker 01

No, I don't know about that.

• 1:11:50Speaker 02

No, pre Slurpee was frozen Coke. Look it up. Look it up.

• 1:11:54H. Foley?

I'm 10 years older than you.

• 1:11:56Speaker 02

  Brother.

• 1:11:58H. Foley?

Trust me, I was in on frozen Coke before you knew what was going on.

• 1:12:00Speaker 02

You would go to little, the places had frozen Coke before Slurpees became a thing.

• 1:12:04Speaker 01

You got frozen Coke? Frozen Coke is a popular semi-frozen. Incarbonated slushy version of Coca-Cola commonly found at McDonald's, 7-Eleven Speedway.

• 1:12:12Speaker 02

See, frozen Coke was a thing. Slurpee, Slurpee was a branded name for frozen Coke.

• 1:12:17Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:12:17Speaker 02

Slurpee co-opted frozen Coke. Yeah, they're scam artists.

• 1:12:21H. Foley?

It was just Coke and cherry. That was the.

• 1:12:24Speaker 02

  Say it again?

• 1:12:24H. Foley?

  The original.

• 1:12:26Speaker 01

  I didn't understand it either.

• 1:12:27Speaker 02

Yeah, sometimes he says stuff and I'm like, I am with Bobby.

• 1:12:31H. Foley?

And what the original two flavors were Coke and cherry.

• 1:12:34Speaker 02

  And cherry Coke, yes.

• 1:12:35H. Foley?

Not cherry Coke. Coke and Slurpee.

• 1:12:37Speaker 02

Right. How about, how about vanilla though? When they introduced that?

• 1:12:41Speaker 01

  I don't know if I've ever had.

• 1:12:42Speaker 02

  Vanilla Coke, vanilla Coke.

• 1:12:43Speaker 01

  Vanilla Coke.

• 1:12:44H. Foley?

What are you about to say?

• 1:12:45Speaker 02

Oh, you liked it, didn't you? You did?

• 1:12:48H. Foley?

  I'll tell you why.

• 1:12:48Speaker 02

  I thought that was blasphemy.

• 1:12:49H. Foley?

  You're crazy, it's still banging.

• 1:12:51Speaker 01

It's like drinking a Yankee candle.

• 1:12:52Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:12:53Speaker 01

  It stinks.

• 1:12:56Speaker 02

Doesn't this belong in my aunt's bathroom?

• 1:12:58H. Foley?

Let me tell you something. One Labor Day, I couldn't afford to go anywhere.

• 1:13:03Speaker 02

  Just one Labor Day? Yeah.

• 1:13:06Speaker 02

  How many Labor Days, dude?

• 1:13:07H. Foley?

I was dating this, I was dating this beautiful woman who eventually left me very quickly because she realized I was a loser.

• 1:13:14Speaker 02

  Jesus, dude.

• 1:13:15H. Foley?

  This is years ago.

• 1:13:16Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:13:17H. Foley?

  Cool now.

• 1:13:20Speaker 02

Bro, you broads out there? Yeah.

• 1:13:22H. Foley?

We went over to this, um, free thing they were doing on the west side by the Intrepid Museum. You know, the aircraft carrier?

• 1:13:29Speaker 02

  I don't, but okay.

• 1:13:30H. Foley?

You don't know that? You know, there's an aircraft carrier in New York City? They got an SR71, Blackbird, F-14s, F-4s.

• 1:13:36Speaker 02

Keep saying numbers, I'm not gonna pay attention.

• 1:13:38H. Foley?

  So.

• 1:13:38Speaker 02

I have no idea what you're saying.

• 1:13:39Speaker 01

I got an FAT 50 year old right here.

• 1:13:42H. Foley?

It's a bunch of ships over there.

• 1:13:44Speaker 02

  Got it.

• 1:13:44H. Foley?

  All right, a submarine.

• 1:13:46Speaker 01

  He gets it.

• 1:13:46H. Foley?

  All right.

• 1:13:47Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:13:47H. Foley?

  Water.

• 1:13:48Speaker 01

  Hey, autistic Andy, let's go.

• 1:13:49Speaker 02

  Water.

• 1:13:50H. Foley?

They were just dropping vanilla Coke and they were like sponsoring it. So all throughout the grounds were these huge bins.

• 1:13:58Speaker 01

There's a bug on you. I got it, I got it.

• 1:14:00H. Foley?

I don't know why you were hitting me.

• 1:14:01Speaker 01

  I got it.

• 1:14:03H. Foley?

  Don't say to another.

• 1:14:04Speaker 01

  Just made this story longer.

• 1:14:05Speaker 02

You don't have bugs on you often, do you?

• 1:14:06H. Foley?

  I have a couple.

• 1:14:07Speaker 01

  His nickname's the bug man.

• 1:14:08H. Foley?

  Because one time he texted.

• 1:14:09Speaker 02

Bugman. That's my lawyer, Bugman, Morty Bugman.

• 1:14:12H. Foley?

  No, it's not.

• 1:14:12Speaker 02

Come on, stop it. Cut it out, will ya? Wait, what happened with vanilla cokes?

• 1:14:17Speaker 01

They were like our ninth hour of podcast.

• 1:14:20Speaker 02

  What time is it?

• 1:14:21Speaker 01

  I don't know.

• 1:14:22Speaker 02

  4:45?

• 1:14:23Speaker 01

  Alright, we gotta go.

• 1:14:24H. Foley?

Alright, hold on. This is important.

• 1:14:26Speaker 02

This honestly, this is why I like doing shows with you guys.

• 1:14:29Speaker 01

  Thank you.

• 1:14:30Speaker 02

  It's fun.

• 1:14:30H. Foley?

  Alright, you ready?

• 1:14:31Speaker 02

We could do this honestly for 30 hours. We should do where we do a full 24 hours.

• 1:14:36Speaker 01

  Yeah, let's do it.

• 1:14:36Speaker 02

You should do an AYG with and just have guests coming.

• 1:14:39H. Foley?

  Oh, livestream, that's pretty good.

• 1:14:41Speaker 02

  You really should.

• 1:14:41H. Foley?

Drewski and Kyson, they make a lot of cash, those kids.

• 1:14:44Speaker 02

  Sure, they do.

• 1:14:47Speaker 01

Hey, back to your snorfest story.

• 1:14:49H. Foley?

So I'm dating this hot chick. She looked like a Polish version of Catherine Zeta Jones.

• 1:14:53Speaker 02

  She broke up with you.

• 1:14:53H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 1:14:54Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:14:54H. Foley?

  Deliberately.

• 1:14:54Speaker 02

  I know.

• 1:14:55H. Foley?

I went to her house one time and she had all my stuff neatly folded in trash bags and I knew it was really over.

• 1:14:59Speaker 02

  Eastern European?

• 1:15:00H. Foley?

  Yes.

• 1:15:00Speaker 02

Yeah, they always are. Yeah, that's who folds. They fold. Yeah, they fold. All of your stuff is by door.

• 1:15:05H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:15:05Speaker 02

  Don't come back in.

• 1:15:06H. Foley?

  No, yeah.

• 1:15:07Speaker 01

It was the last stuff any of us... Fuck!

• 1:15:09Speaker 02

  Do it!

• 1:15:09H. Foley?

  You done?

• 1:15:10Speaker 02

  We'll cut, we'll edit it.

• 1:15:12H. Foley?

I didn't have any money. We made sandwiches to bring there. That's how broke I was. It was the first time I ever had cucumber in a sandwich because you book cucumber in a turkey sandwich and I've eaten it ever since. I always think about it every time I eat it.

• 1:15:21Speaker 02

Jesus. This gets sadder and sadder.

• 1:15:23Speaker 01

Dude, this is the most unhinged story I've ever...

• 1:15:26H. Foley?

You don't like cucumbers in a sandwich?

• 1:15:27Speaker 02

I do, but you're making it sad.

• 1:15:28H. Foley?

  Alright, sorry.

• 1:15:29Speaker 02

I think about her every time I eat it.

• 1:15:30H. Foley?

So we didn't have, we didn't have, we didn't really have any money, but they had all these free screaming cold vanilla cokes in bins of ice and water.

• 1:15:38Speaker 02

  How many did you have?

• 1:15:38H. Foley?

They were screaming. It was 100 degrees. I had sunburned all over me.

• 1:15:41Speaker 01

Must have had myself about 13.

• 1:15:42H. Foley?

I must have had about 13 or 14 of them. Ever since then, I like, I like a vanilla coke.

• 1:15:46Speaker 02

So you still, and still to this day, you'll have it?

• 1:15:48H. Foley?

Still to this day, I'll have it. I used to have them a lot after benders. After everything calmed down, I would get a vanilla coke.

• 1:15:53Speaker 02

After a, after a hangover, there is nothing better. I go get a McDonald's large Coke every single time.

• 1:15:58Speaker 01

  The large fountain Coke?

• 1:15:59Speaker 02

It's the best. Coke, fountain Coke? Question real fast. You go to the movie theater, both of you guys.

• 1:16:03H. Foley?

  I got it.

• 1:16:04Speaker 02

Now they got the new machine.

• 1:16:05H. Foley?

  Yep.

• 1:16:05Speaker 02

You can get any combination under the sun now.

• 1:16:07H. Foley?

  Don't like it.

• 1:16:08Speaker 02

  It's too much.

• 1:16:09Speaker 01

  Oh gee.

• 1:16:10H. Foley?

It's not the same cherry coke.

• 1:16:11Speaker 02

So what do you, what do you get when you go?

• 1:16:12Speaker 01

I don't even like that they come out of the same spout.

• 1:16:13Speaker 02

  I don't like it either.

• 1:16:15Speaker 01

  What are you doing?

• 1:16:15Speaker 02

It bothers me because you're mixing, you're mixing.

• 1:16:17Speaker 01

Now I get a little, I get a little fucking cherry twang, get out of here.

• 1:16:20Speaker 02

You know what's so interesting, I think about this is meticulous OCD stuff. It's like when I go to an ice cream shop, what I enjoy about when they, they, they dip this, dip the spoons to clean off the other residue from the past ice cream. Cause what if I didn't want?

• 1:16:32Speaker 01

Put it in the barbicide, let's go.

• 1:16:33Speaker 02

Put it in the barbicide dude, but that, they use the same nozzle. I taste other, other drinks in my nozzle.

• 1:16:39H. Foley?

  Hate it.

• 1:16:39Speaker 02

Especially if it's a brightly colored, if someone had an orange drink before you, you're gonna taste that in your drink.

• 1:16:44Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 1:16:44Speaker 02

Alright, so what are you, what are you pulling?

• 1:16:45H. Foley?

Traditionally, it's cherry, it's a cherry coke, a lot of ice, large. Popcorn, something chocolate and something fruity.

• 1:16:52Speaker 02

How big is the popcorn? Do you get the biggest one or you just get the refill?

• 1:16:54H. Foley?

If they upsell me, I'll take it, but I can do a medium.

• 1:16:56Speaker 01

Depends if guys are good salesmen.

• 1:16:57Speaker 02

You know why, you know why I like the bucket? Cause it's stable. The bags are bullshit.

• 1:17:01Speaker 01

  Smart.

• 1:17:01H. Foley?

  Our bags stink.

• 1:17:02Speaker 02

It drives me nuts, the bags, and the bags when you're handing it, like it's my wife is passing back, it spills every fucking time. So I just get the bucket. I just like, can I, sometimes I'll pay for the whatever and go, can I have the bucket? I'll pay just for the bucket itself, then pour it in there.

• 1:17:16H. Foley?

They sometimes get weird about giving you the extra containers.

• 1:17:19Speaker 02

They always get weird about it. What do they care? You're 17, just give me the bucket.

• 1:17:21H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:17:22Speaker 02

High school kid, give me the bucket.

• 1:17:23H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:17:24Speaker 02

And by the way, sometimes I'll, you know, I'll grease the kids.

• 1:17:27Speaker 01

  Grease them, boom.

• 1:17:27Speaker 02

They deserve it. They get paid fucking five dollars a day.

• 1:17:30Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 1:17:31Speaker 02

It's a, it's a miserable job. Why, I don't get why those kids don't get paid more. That sucks. So give them a little, give twop, throw them a 20 and it changes their after.

• 1:17:39H. Foley?

What do you hear his movie theater thing?

• 1:17:41Speaker 02

Okay, so that's your, that's it.

• 1:17:42H. Foley?

  That's what I'm doing.

• 1:17:43Speaker 02

  And what's, what's the chocolate?

• 1:17:44H. Foley?

The chocolate could be peanut M&M's, or I'm sorry, peanut butter M&M's. Could be Milk Thugs, which I like a milk.

• 1:17:51Speaker 02

Mm-mm. That's why you got those teeth missing.

• 1:17:53H. Foley?

  Yeah, of course.

• 1:17:54Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:17:54H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 1:17:55Speaker 02

  And then that's, that's, that's the sweetness.

• 1:17:56H. Foley?

And then the fruity's either gonna be Red Vines, it's gonna be Sour Patch Kids, it's gonna be Skittles, it's gonna be something fruity. That's the dessert dessert. Chocolate is the medium dessert.

• 1:18:05Speaker 02

That's the dessert dessert is so funny.

• 1:18:07H. Foley?

  And with something fruity.

• 1:18:08Speaker 02

  Okay, what do you got?

• 1:18:09Speaker 01

I don't really go to the movie, I don't, I would just get the popcorn and probably some candy, some gummy bears.

• 1:18:13H. Foley?

He's a pretzel nuggets guy too.

• 1:18:14Speaker 01

Growing up, I would do pretzel nuggets all time, but the cheese.

• 1:18:19H. Foley?

  What's yours?

• 1:18:20Speaker 02

I disagree with the pretzel nuggets.

• 1:18:21Speaker 01

Oh, chaotic choice, for sure. I was a fat kid, I wanted, I wanted the most meal I could get, I wanted, I wanted to be full.

• 1:18:28Speaker 02

  You wanted to be full.

• 1:18:29Speaker 01

And I was, popcorn ain't gonna, there's not enough popcorn at AMC to do that.

• 1:18:32H. Foley?

  Do you have mashed potatoes?

• 1:18:34Speaker 02

  They do now.

• 1:18:35Speaker 01

  I do the pizza.

• 1:18:35Speaker 02

Some of these places have full dinners now.

• 1:18:37Speaker 01

  I don't like that.

• 1:18:38Speaker 02

No, I'm not into it either.

• 1:18:39H. Foley?

I'm not eating in the dark.

• 1:18:40Speaker 02

I'm a traditionalist. I want popcorn. Okay, gotta get the big popcorn. And I go, I go, if they have it, Doc Pep, because I love Dr. Pepper. Something about the movie theaters, Dr. Pepper. I don't know what it is. I prefer Coke in the real world. But something about Doc Pep.

• 1:18:54H. Foley?

I mentioned a Mr. Pips. Does that, will you do a Mr. Pips as well?

• 1:18:57Speaker 02

He's gotta get his doctorate before I consume.

• 1:18:59H. Foley?

  Really?

• 1:18:59Speaker 02

Yeah. That's gotta be a comics joke for sure. Mr. Pip. Doesn't even, didn't even go get his PhD.

• 1:19:05H. Foley?

  I love a Dr. Pepper.

• 1:19:06Speaker 02

No, I like a Dr. Pepper. I think it's superior. Twenty, what are the flavors? I mean, we'll never know.

• 1:19:10H. Foley?

One of them is cherry, I know that.

• 1:19:11Speaker 01

Hold on, let's take Coke real quick. Straight up, regular Coke.

• 1:19:13H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:19:15Speaker 01

  Rank can, bottle, fountain.

• 1:19:18Speaker 02

There's no doubt about this. It's Mexican Coke in a bottle from here. Mexican Coke in a bottle is the greatest version of Coke. Then it goes fountain, then it goes canned. Canned's dead last.

• 1:19:26Speaker 01

  What about plastic bottle?

• 1:19:28Speaker 02

  I will not consume.

• 1:19:30H. Foley?

  No shit?

• 1:19:30Speaker 02

What am I, first of all, the plastic bottle gets so warm, so fast.

• 1:19:33Speaker 01

  It doesn't hold a cold.

• 1:19:34Speaker 02

You have to put it in a glass with ice. Defeats the entire purpose of having something on the go. So you buy those at the gas station. The moment you're back in your car, hitting that third mile of wherever you're going, it's warm. It's bullshit. So if you were gonna get ice from the fountain place at the gas station, just get the fountain Coke anyway. Plastic bottle Coke is not even, I can't even believe people like them. The only way that I did them is at family parties. Grandma has a two liter, but that's going in a glass with ice.

• 1:20:00H. Foley?

Can I give you a heads up then we'll let you go?

• 1:20:02Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:20:03H. Foley?

You want a plastic bottle to be screaming cold? You bring it home.

• 1:20:07Speaker 02

I don't want, I don't want it to be cold. I don't want to consume it, but bring it home.

• 1:20:10H. Foley?

  If you're bored one day.

• 1:20:11Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:20:12H. Foley?

You take a couple of swigs out of it, so there's some air in it. Put it in the fridge. It's gonna be colder than a full bottle.

• 1:20:17Speaker 02

  Dude, I love that you're a scientist.

• 1:20:18Speaker 01

He thinks he's Bill Nye with this dude. It's crazy.

• 1:20:21H. Foley?

A half, a half a Gatorade in the refrigerator is colder than a full Gatorade refrigerator. I swear to God.

• 1:20:26Speaker 01

  It's true.

• 1:20:26H. Foley?

  I swear to God.

• 1:20:27Speaker 02

I believe that to be true because the air that's in there, right? That's just, that's probably easy math.

• 1:20:31H. Foley?

  Is that what it is?

• 1:20:32Speaker 02

  Yeah.

• 1:20:32Speaker 01

  The air can get cold.

• 1:20:33Speaker 02

The air makes it colder. But I will say this.

• 1:20:35Speaker 01

  It's magic?

• 1:20:35Speaker 02

  Yeah, no. Well, he could.

• 1:20:36Speaker 01

  Clearly some sort of scientific.

• 1:20:37Speaker 02

But I do, I do think it's the weakest, the bottle, the plastic are the weakest of, of all of the Cokes. But the glass bottle Mexi- And Coke, real cane sugar from Mexico, which they're trying to implement in all Coke now. They're trying to fight to make it a real thing.

• 1:20:49Speaker 01

  Mm hmm.

• 1:20:49Speaker 02

It won't because that corn syrup is gonna keep us forever.

• 1:20:52Speaker 01

  That's a big money.

• 1:20:53H. Foley?

  Caucasian hat.

• 1:20:54Speaker 02

It's a lot of cash. There's a lot of corn out there. Shout out to Iowa. There's just too much for them to stop doing that. But yeah, number one, Mexican Coke, then Fountain and then can. I'll take a can. If I'm at like my buddy's son's baseball game, I'll, they have a can in the cooler. I'll, I'll do it. I don't want it, but I'll do it. But I, I switch now. I'm more Coke Zero than Diet Coke. When I do drink an alternative.

• 1:21:15Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 1:21:16Speaker 02

Coke Zero tastes much more. You go to Europe, they don't even know. You ask for Diet Coke, they're like, what?

• 1:21:20Speaker 01

Coca-Cola Lite is Coke Zero, yeah.

• 1:21:22Speaker 02

  It doesn't exist.

• 1:21:24H. Foley?

  True gentleman, Andrew Santino.

• 1:21:25Speaker 01

Really is, you know, you're really, you're really, yeah.

• 1:21:28Speaker 02

  Trying to be.

• 1:21:28H. Foley?

  We're turning it around here.

• 1:21:29Speaker 01

  Flip flopping. I like it.

• 1:21:30Speaker 02

I love coming on the show with you guys. I can do this every week.

• 1:21:32H. Foley?

  We love you so much.

• 1:21:33Speaker 02

  Love you.

• 1:21:33H. Foley?

Anything you want to folks to know, anything yet coming up? You want to hit them?

• 1:21:36Speaker 02

Uh, I will tease you a little bit. Bobby and I shot 10 episodes of a game show called The Bad Game Show.

• 1:21:40Speaker 01

Heard about it. It's all the buzz.

• 1:21:42Speaker 02

It's called The Bad Game Show. It's gonna come out on our channel.

• 1:21:44H. Foley?

  I love it.

• 1:21:45Speaker 02

Uh, the business wasn't interested in it and we just funded it ourself and made it with, uh, with ATC.

• 1:21:50H. Foley?

  That's how we're doing it.

• 1:21:51Speaker 02

And had a good time. And then we shot 10 episodes and we're, I think it's gonna start in June. We shot all 10 are in the can. We're in the edit bay, but Bad Game Show, watch Bad Friends, watch Whiskey Ginger, my other pod. Um, and outside of that, that's all I'm doing. I'm, I'm doing a couple of dates. I'm not touring right now, but go to andrewsantino.com. We're doing like, um, I think I'm doing a St. Charles, Missouri, and I'm doing a San Diego. I'm doing a couple of shows down there for fun, but I won't tour till next year.

• 1:22:16Speaker 01

  Later.

• 1:22:16H. Foley?

  Love it.

• 1:22:17Speaker 02

Take it easy. Take it easy. Love you guys. Thank you.

• 1:22:19H. Foley?

Gang, we love you. Kippy, you got anything for him?

• 1:22:21Speaker 01

Uh, all of our tickets are on sale at r-garbage.com. Get them while they last.

• 1:22:25H. Foley?

Love you, gang. See you next week. Peace.
