Cheers to fall savings at Whole Foods Market, home of higher ingredient standards. This Halloween, share chocolates and candies made without that spooky high-fructose corn syrup. Throwing a party? Make it easy with a Berry Chantilly Cake. Ready-to-cook pizza? No antibiotics ever chicken wings. And sushi made fresh daily. Fall gatherings never tasted better. Save through November 3rd at Whole Foods Market.

Peep the steeplechaser's teapot, you steaming quivers. Welcome to the Blind by Podcast. Well, not really welcome to the Blind by Podcast. So, I'm putting this out to say that this week's podcast is gonna have to be a day late. I'm really sorry about this. As you know, I've been on tour over in England and Scotland. I just got back. I thought I was gonna get back into my studio with enough time to record an episode for this week, but that's not the case.

• 1:38Blindboy Boatclub?

I was literally gigging, then travelling between gigs. Very little time in hotels. I brought recording equipment with me, but I didn't have time to set it up. Now, I am back in my studio. I'm in my studio right now, but the thing is...

• 1:54Blindboy Boatclub?

It's late and I haven't rested at all. And if I was to try and do a podcast right now, I don't think I'd be able to do the work justice. I'd much rather record the podcast tomorrow after a night's sleep so that I can deliver something that I can, that I can stand over and that I enjoy and that I'm passionate about and something that ye'll enjoy listening rather than taking the piss. So this is the first time that this has happened in eight years of this podcast. In eight years, I've managed to deliver it every single fucking Wednesday without fail. But you will be getting a podcast this week. Um, I've, I've got some wonderful hot takes about yogurts.

• 2:37Blindboy Boatclub?

And that's the reason, like, I know what the podcast is going to be about. You know, last week I said that I was struggling with burnout. And what I was doing to, to help myself with that was focusing on things that, that bring me joy and research brings me joy, especially, I went down a lovely, a lovely hot take rabbit hole about, about yogurts. And I want to give the subject the, if, if I've got a good hot take, I want to deliver it with passion and clarity and criticality, not, you only get one, one shot at a good fucking hot take.

• 3:17Blindboy Boatclub?

If I tried to deliver it while I'm, I'm tired, I leave out, I leave something crucial out, I'll miss some little detail and I'd kick myself because I'd be like, there was the fucking chance, there was the yogurt podcast, you fucking missed the opportunity, you didn't mention that, you didn't mention that. That's what'll happen if I'm tired. So I'm going to give it an extra day. I'm going to sleep and I'm going to go at it tomorrow with fresh eyes and with enthusiasm and give you a podcast that I can stand over, that I, that I, I want to enjoy doing it. I want to enjoy doing it and I want ye to enjoy listening to it.

• 3:57Blindboy Boatclub?

If you're disappointed that your Wednesday routine has been interrupted, there's 400 and something fucking podcasts, there's 400 and something, e- even the most seasoned quiva and temporary Declan, there's no way you've listened to all of them. And if you have, you, I don't, I can't even remember fucking podcasts that I've recorded. I genuinely, I've made four hundred and something fucking, how many is it? It's near, it's four hundred and eighty or something.

• 4:28Blindboy Boatclub?

I can't even tell the difference between, was that an entire podcast I recorded? Or was that a dream that I had? Or was that a conversation that I had with a stranger? Or was that a podcast that I haven't recorded yet? So that's where I'm at and I'm fucking writing the things. So go, go through the, the back catalogue today and you'll find something. And then tomorrow, I've, I've done very solid research on yogurts. I went fucking turbo autism with it and, and made some, some connections that require, that require me to be, be cognizant and, and awake and full of energy

• 5:13Blindboy Boatclub?

and filled with joy and happiness and not thinking about my wonderful bed. There's a fly in my bedroom, one of those ones that, those fucking conde flies. The ones that, um, they land on your skin for the laugh. They're looking for salt or something, so I'm gonna have to deal with, with him and leave the door open. With my sincerest apologies, this is the first time it's happened in eight years. You are getting a podcast, you're gonna get it tomorrow. And I'm making this choice for the right reasons. And the reason is I'll deliver a better podcast tomorrow rather than doing it now. When I've been travelling all day and I'm really tired.

• 5:57Blindboy Boatclub?

All right, dog bless, rub a dog. I'm not gonna kill that fly as well, by the way, just in case you're thinking I'm gonna kill the fly. I'm not, I'm gonna open the door and let him out to do his fly business. I'm not, that'd fuck up my sleep. You, you can't kill a fly and then head off to sleep. I dream about being in, in a fly's version of hell, which ironically would be the opposite of human hell because flies like.

• 6:27Blindboy Boatclub?

Being on dog shit, that's what they enjoy. So a fly's hell would probably be spending time on something clean that doesn't smell. That doesn't sound to bed, actually. That sounds like my bed. All right, um, dog bless. Wink at a swan. Geni flex to a worm. I'm gonna show up tomorrow with a new podcast and thank you so much for your patience.
