• 0:30Benito Skinner?

  I'm Benito Skinner.

• 0:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm Mary Beth Brown.

• 0:33Benito Skinner?

  And this?

• 0:33Mary Beth Barone?

  Is?

• 0:34Benito Skinner?

  Ride.

• 0:38Benito Skinner?

  M.

• 0:38Mary Beth Barone?

  M.

• 0:40Benito Skinner?

  Flip it around. Wicked witch.

• 0:46Benito Skinner?

Got it out of our system, feel better.

• 0:48Mary Beth Barone?

That will not be the last time. If you think you got it out of your system, I didn't get it out of my system.

• 0:54Benito Skinner?

Madame Morrible. Flip it around. Wicked witch. That is so coming out.

• 1:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 1:04Benito Skinner?

  Do you get it?

• 1:06Mary Beth Barone?

  It's an allegory.

• 1:06Benito Skinner?

Like, y'all really thought I was Madame Morrible, huh?

• 1:09Mary Beth Barone?

  But I'm wicked.

• 1:10Benito Skinner?

  Wicked witch.

• 1:11Mary Beth Barone?

So you had the pleasure of introducing me to this, which hadn't come up on my algorithm at all.

• 1:16Benito Skinner?

Literally, like, to get to share this with a friend. Also, we just came in here with the worst attitude. Our producer, she like, doesn't even know what to do right now. She's like, totally.

• 1:25Mary Beth Barone?

  She left.

• 1:26Benito Skinner?

She left. She left. She goes, I can't, I've never seen this.

• 1:29Mary Beth Barone?

She said, just let me know when you're done.

• 1:30Benito Skinner?

Sometimes when it's in the afternoon, the whole day has, has beat us up.

• 1:34Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, my God. Today was like, 15. You had sort of one big annoying thing, it sounds like.

• 1:38Benito Skinner?

I got mollywopped the past hour.

• 1:40Mary Beth Barone?

I, I, I had my day started, I mean, I had 15 annoying things. We don't have to get into all of them.

• 1:45Benito Skinner?

  Please, we can't, actually.

• 1:47Mary Beth Barone?

We actually can't, because it's just not fun to listen to.

• 1:48Benito Skinner?

  Mm-mm.

• 1:49Mary Beth Barone?

Let's just say I was at my apartment. I did a brand activation.

• 1:53Benito Skinner?

  I did a brand activation.

• 1:55Mary Beth Barone?

For Milk, the dairy beverage. And they were generously sending a car to pick me up. And I, I knew the confirmation was done. I got the text and everything. Then I get a call from a New York number. I answer it. And they said that they're at the airport. They asked if my flight had landed. I was like, no.

• 2:09Benito Skinner?

You go in a lot. A lot of ways, yeah.

• 2:11Mary Beth Barone?

What, like, like a week ago, yeah. When I came back from London.

• 2:14Benito Skinner?

  It has before.

• 2:15Mary Beth Barone?

It landed, and I don't know who that person was picking up. My driver was ultimately on time.

• 2:20Benito Skinner?

  Picked up somebody.

• 2:21Mary Beth Barone?

Somebody, I'm sure. I mean, they had a job to do, but my driver was at my place. So it was just like, it just then I had to, you know what I mean?

• 2:27Benito Skinner?

Why am I picturing some girl at JFK and she has a bag and they go, Mary Beth? And she goes, yeah.

• 2:36Mary Beth Barone?

  You know what? Yeah.

• 2:38Benito Skinner?

  Mm. Flip it around.

• 2:42Mary Beth Barone?

Okay, so you introduced this to me. Everyone in my family completely mesmerized by this bit.

• 2:47Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, it's like, I didn't bring food to Thanksgiving. I brought Madame Morrible. To get to show, when you said that you hadn't seen it, I thought, I've never had a moment happen like this where I'm more excited. Moments like this. Some people wait a lifetime. For that one special kiss. But to get to show you this.

• 3:09Mary Beth Barone?

For anyone else that's like me that it hadn't come up for them, this is Michelle Yeoh on the Wicked Press Tour. Her character's name is Madame Morrible, and then if you flip it around, she does M M with her fingers, flip it around.

• 3:17Benito Skinner?

She's like, she's the real wicked witch.

• 3:19Mary Beth Barone?

Mary Elizabeth, flip it around, wicked witch. My sister asked for the reference, and my cousin and I individually pulled it up on our phones and started playing it at the exact same time. And it sounded like we were in Madison Square Garden.

• 3:33Benito Skinner?

  MSG.

• 3:34Mary Beth Barone?

We were, she was headlining MSG with this bit. Imagine headlining MSG with one bit. That's what it felt like.

• 3:40Benito Skinner?

That's so. And she could at this point. I mean, it's taken the world by storm.

• 3:44Mary Beth Barone?

Let's talk about Wicked quickly and usually, obviously, and we have to put it out every time we talk about something topical. We usually don't.

• 3:49Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 3:50Mary Beth Barone?

  My big thing.

• 3:51Benito Skinner?

Shocking for us, but as we said, anything can happen, including the end of the world.

• 3:54Mary Beth Barone?

Including this episode, which is a totaled episode, which I don't think we've done one this season.

• 3:58Benito Skinner?

No, and I'm happy to do it.

• 4:00Mary Beth Barone?

I think it's the right day.

• 4:01Benito Skinner?

I think it's just every now and then you need a little holiday. It's, hey, we're Scrooge.

• 4:05Mary Beth Barone?

  It's the Grinch.

• 4:05Benito Skinner?

  Scrooge McDuck.

• 4:06Mary Beth Barone?

But I actually, okay, and this, I think, is me just going past that.

• 4:11Benito Skinner?

Well, and then you go, Duck, when you do this, like, grumpy, like, Cindy Lou Who bullshit, it kills me.

• 4:17Mary Beth Barone?

So this year, I'm really getting into the holiday spirit, and I think it is this sort of reaction to fascism where I go, I need a distraction, I need to pour myself into something. And this year, it's the Christmas spirit.

• 4:28Benito Skinner?

  The mall.

• 4:28Mary Beth Barone?

The mall. So it's been, oh, the mall, that just reminded me. When I was little, my cousin, her school was under construction, and they moved all the students to the mall. She told me she got to go to school at the mall. For half the year, the school's under construction. Just imagine that's like, how is that not like the thought of a Mary Kay and Ashley movie?

• 4:48Benito Skinner?

Every person in that class now works in fashion.

• 4:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Merchandising, 100%.

• 4:52Benito Skinner?

  They all went to Parsons.

• 4:53Mary Beth Barone?

Well, they walked by Express every day and they thought, we have to be fashion merchandisers.

• 4:57Benito Skinner?

I can't stress enough that I wouldn't have learned a damn thing. But I would have learned everything I needed to.

• 5:02Mary Beth Barone?

Totally. Well, it sounds like the lie of a child to be like, I'm going to school at the mall, but this really happened.

• 5:08Benito Skinner?

God, I forgot. I forgot lie of a child. You know, I remember this lie I told at one point and it like could have ruined like a lot of people's lives.

• 5:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Say more.

• 5:17Benito Skinner?

As a kid, I just remember my dad would dress up as Santa and at TCBY, the country's best yogurt. I was with my older sister and we were getting froyo and the woman was super sweet to me and she's like, do you know her? And it's like, sorry, but like, no.

• 5:32Mary Beth Barone?

  In many ways, yes.

• 5:33Benito Skinner?

In many ways, yes, but like, I don't know her. But I was like, yeah, she's like, she's friends with Santa. I could have like ruined my dad's life. I was like, it was so.

• 5:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Because of the levels.

• 5:45Benito Skinner?

Yeah, the levels that were there. She was like, oh, he's just like a kid lying. But I've been thinking about it and I'm like, that was crazy.

• 5:51Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, but you, you couldn't have known at the time, the complexities.

• 5:54Benito Skinner?

No, but I just loved, I was obsessed with proximity to Santa. Like, who knew Santa?

• 5:58Mary Beth Barone?

It's so a friend of Judy.

• 6:00Benito Skinner?

  It was so.

• 6:01Mary Beth Barone?

But it's a friend of Santa.

• 6:02Benito Skinner?

  And a friend of Dorothy.

• 6:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, that's what I meant.

• 6:04Benito Skinner?

  Madam Morrible.

• 6:06Mary Beth Barone?

  Wicked witch.

• 6:07Benito Skinner?

I say we're gonna do it once. How's 30 times?

• 6:10Mary Beth Barone?

Dorothy, that's what it is. It's not a friend of Judy.

• 6:12Benito Skinner?

  Friend of Dorothy.

• 6:12Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know why I said that. I mean Judy Garland. I know why I said that.

• 6:15Benito Skinner?

  Well, of course.

• 6:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Because I have, I'm just a girl.

• 6:17Benito Skinner?

  You're always interested.

• 6:18Mary Beth Barone?

Standing in front of a gay guy, asking him to host a podcast with her.

• 6:21Benito Skinner?

And you're begging for it at this point.

• 6:23Mary Beth Barone?

  I have to.

• 6:24Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 6:25Mary Beth Barone?

So my big thing with Wicked and if you.

• 6:27Benito Skinner?

So make me beg for you, because I'll beg for you.

• 6:30Mary Beth Barone?

My big thing with Wicked is that I think first of all, all you need to do is learn that language and you can do the spells. That's first of all. Second thing is Glinda, just from what I know about her from the movies, is she's not sitting down and learning that language.

• 6:43Benito Skinner?

  Well, no.

• 6:44Mary Beth Barone?

It might as well be a Rosetta Stone.

• 6:46Benito Skinner?

  She's popular.

• 6:46Mary Beth Barone?

  She ain't cracking it.

• 6:47Benito Skinner?

Oh, and a clock tick. Everything else I loved, clock tick is not gonna happen. I said every time I heard it, I needed to step out for a cigarette. Just one doobie.

• 6:57Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 6:58Benito Skinner?

It's a clock tick away, but I am interested in the play. I haven't seen the play. I really want to now. I mean, obviously, it's much shorter than the two films. So I assume that the language feels more like of the Lord of the Rings thing where it's consistent.

• 7:10Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Or like, we're- Oh, like changing words.

• 7:12Benito Skinner?

It's Star Trek. It's Klingon. Yeah.

• 7:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Well, obsessed you related. Yeah.

• 7:16Benito Skinner?

  Well, and bleep that.

• 7:17Mary Beth Barone?

  And bleep that.

• 7:18Benito Skinner?

And promise me you'll bleep that.

• 7:21Mary Beth Barone?

  I will.

• 7:21Benito Skinner?

Those definitely make my butthole tight, but I really had so much fun at the theater with you. I got chicken strips and say that. I don't, it was crazy. Cause here's my thing. You, it was a matinee, but we were going at 11:45. And I was like, so we're not eating lunch. Because like I'm corn fed Idaho. I need, I need lunch around noon. So it was crazy to me to not have a protein then. Fortunately, I'm AMC.

• 7:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Of them solved.

• 7:54Benito Skinner?

It's hard not to just, I mean, obviously, I guess we, we ride for that and that's the carpool, but.

• 7:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Well, and in many ways.

• 8:00Benito Skinner?

What are some of the things in the notes app? I think I wrote one thing this week, but I'm not sure.

• 8:04Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I want to talk about my most Republican take. And then I would like for you to talk about when you were a call girl while you were filming over compensating. Or maybe you should go first, actually, because I don't want to, I don't want to leave people hanging on that. Because I've often thought, leaving my building, I want to know what my doormen think I do for work.

• 8:21Benito Skinner?

And I think maybe you gave me that prompt and I thought back to me at this Airbnb I was staying at in Toronto.

• 8:27Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I have a new laugh, by the way. It's a goose honk, just so you know.

• 8:30Benito Skinner?

  New laugh just dropped.

• 8:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, sorry. It's just-

• 8:31Benito Skinner?

I would love a new laugh.

• 8:32Mary Beth Barone?

It's just what's happening right now.

• 8:34Benito Skinner?

Mine, like, I, it's such a witch cackle that I can't, and it's so obvious now. And because of this wretched podcast, people know when I'm really laughing. So they know when it's fake.

• 8:46Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 8:46Benito Skinner?

It's a bummer. When I'm like, is someone pitching me something I don't like?

• 8:52Benito Skinner?

Not the writer's room, but just in general. People keep pitching me randoms and I'm like, oh God, stop it. So I'm in this Airbnb in Toronto. I, I just started to notice the hours I was going. So I would leave early in the morning and I would be, you know, I would kind of dress up for set. I thought it'd be cute. It was fun to like have a cute little outfit on when I got there and see what you guys think. Sometimes it would be like Ugg boots, cargo shorts and like a tank top, though. Very like Ryan Atwood meets also Marissa.

• 9:17Mary Beth Barone?

  Yes, absolutely.

• 9:19Benito Skinner?

So you get that you can kind of the duality there. It's very.

• 9:23Benito Skinner?

So I go and it's, you know, I'm, I'm fresh faced, like no makeup, hair slicked back or whatever. And then I would come back with a bigger bag, kind of like look a little sloppy, spray tan.

• 9:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Full face of makeup.

• 9:37Benito Skinner?

Full face of makeup. And it looks like I just gave someone the best night of their life. I gave a Toronto businessman, the businesswoman special.

• 9:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Special, yeah.

• 9:45Benito Skinner?

And then on the weekends, I would just go shop. So on the weekends, I would come back with all these bags. So I just was like, I think potentially this doorman that's kind of giving me a wink every time I enter. I don't think actor is at the top of his list.

• 10:00Mary Beth Barone?

No, he's thinking, well, that guy just worked hard for his money.

• 10:04Benito Skinner?

  Well, and every time.

• 10:05Mary Beth Barone?

And he said, and he randomly one time said to you, sex work is work.

• 10:08Benito Skinner?

Yeah, that came out of nowhere. When I was showing him the sweater I bought. Do you know that I became such close friends with the doorman and doormen? I would like on the weekends, they would be like, what'd you get? And I would pull it out of the bags and show them. It was fun. Yeah. We had a lot of fun. And next door was this smoothie place that was the strangest dynamic. And I think they also thought I was a sex worker too, which I was like very flattered. It was a mom and her son. And I've never seen such a, I don't know how to describe it. Like it was almost like exactly from a movie, the way that he was pathetic to her and never did anything right.

• 10:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Sure, sure. Yeah.

• 10:44Benito Skinner?

  I don't know.

• 10:45Mary Beth Barone?

I only got a smoothie there a couple of times.

• 10:46Benito Skinner?

Oh yeah. And it's bizarre. And she would like, I don't know. It's she like, I think.

• 10:50Mary Beth Barone?

Well, cause they had like beakers. Do you know what I mean? They were like doing mixology with the smoothies. They had like a scale back there and like many glass bottles. And it's just like, just make the smoothie.

• 11:01Benito Skinner?

Exactly. I think she was a nutritionist. So it was like a whole, there was like a whole science backed thing. But I'm like, this, you know.

• 11:07Mary Beth Barone?

It's science backed. It's double blind tested.

• 11:09Benito Skinner?

Yeah. I'm like, those are still frozen blueberries from whatever the version of Costco is here. Like I don't know how crazy we're getting. Yeah. My life was funny, but I loved it.

• 11:18Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. And I used to walk in there with you sometimes and it felt good.

• 11:21Benito Skinner?

Well, they said, they said, oh, good. At least there's a sex worker community.

• 11:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Totally.

• 11:25Benito Skinner?

  Where he's safe.

• 11:25Mary Beth Barone?

A friend he made on the job.

• 11:26Benito Skinner?

Yeah. And sometimes it would be super late at night and I think they were worried about me.

• 11:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 11:30Benito Skinner?

Cause it'd be like 4am and I'd be getting back and they're like, God, and, and sometimes it was a long day on set. Getting spanked by Adam with a paddle or.

• 11:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Or what have you.

• 11:38Benito Skinner?

Getting stabbed in the woods. Always naked. So I was like coming back and, you know, I was walking, walking slow.

• 11:46Mary Beth Barone?

Welcome out in these lupus hands.

• 11:47Benito Skinner?

And they said, damn, I know that's right.

• 11:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Shout out to them.

• 11:50Benito Skinner?

Shout out to them. Whoever they may be.

• 11:52Mary Beth Barone?

Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

• 11:53Benito Skinner?

Oh, I know, but I'm not allowed in that building.

• 11:55Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 11:55Benito Skinner?

I got sued by the guy. Well, he tried to sue me, the owner of the Airbnb, because I did break the ice machine, but I didn't know I did.

• 12:02Mary Beth Barone?

  How'd you break it?

• 12:03Benito Skinner?

I have no idea. I guess it was leaking. I was too busy making a gay TV show.

• 12:06Mary Beth Barone?

But I know you didn't open that freezer once.

• 12:07Benito Skinner?

I didn't open that freezer once, honey.

• 12:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Not a chance.

• 12:09Benito Skinner?

Oh, I did. I had Sophie Pavitt, uh, face ice things in there.

• 12:13Mary Beth Barone?

  Ice things.

• 12:14Benito Skinner?

  Ice.

• 12:14Mary Beth Barone?

  But that's it.

• 12:14Benito Skinner?

  To put on my face.

• 12:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 12:15Benito Skinner?

But, um, no, yeah, I don't think I'm allowed back there. And probably he couldn't get the tanner out of the tub. I tried, but nothing at Canadian Tire worked.

• 12:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Wow, how quickly you forget.

• 12:25Benito Skinner?

I changed the shower. Well, sweetie, I'm ready.

• 12:26Mary Beth Barone?

I know. Don't talk about changing the shower.

• 12:28Benito Skinner?

When I changed the shower head, and you can't stop thinking about it.

• 12:32Mary Beth Barone?

You crazy. You with the wrench. When I FaceTime Benny and he answers and he has a wrench.

• 12:35Benito Skinner?

It's the first time, though, in your eyes, I was like, she understands why someone would want to have sex with me.

• 12:40Mary Beth Barone?

Of course. Also, I need help with something at my apartment later, but we'll talk about it.

• 12:44Benito Skinner?

Okay, I hope I can come.

• 12:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Not today.

• 12:47Benito Skinner?

We're dying to watch heated rivalry together because I want to sweat next to Mary Beth, but.

• 12:51Mary Beth Barone?

  And Pinky.

• 12:51Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 12:52Mary Beth Barone?

Well, if it ain't time for the Goldbelly ad, have you heard of Goldbelly? It's this amazing site that I order from all the time, where you can get the most iconic famous foods from restaurants all across the US. They'll ship it anywhere across the country. It's perfect for hosting loved ones. And it is truly magical, and it's an unforgettable gift, making this holiday season one they'll talk about for years.

• 13:12Benito Skinner?

Goldbelly can ship you show-stopping meals. Show-stopping.

• 13:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Show, show-stopping.

• 13:18Benito Skinner?

And that's what I say every time I have the iconic Joe's Stone Crab in Miami. The famous desserts like the Christmas Pie Cake-in, or a Martha's... Incredible cakes.

• 13:29Mary Beth Barone?

Don't do that when I just took a sip of kombucha.

• 13:32Benito Skinner?

Sit right to your door anywhere in the country. And yes, that's the Pie Cake-in. Duddy eats two pie cake in a day.

• 13:40Mary Beth Barone?

Two pie cake in a day keeps the doctor away.

• 13:43Benito Skinner?

She finishes it and goes, what's for dessert?

• 13:48Mary Beth Barone?

Holidays are the perfect time to gift legendary flavors like lottery macaroons, or Junior's Cheesecake from New York City. Personally, for me, I had Issa Bagel, Issa Bagel, delivered with the lox and all the fixins.

• 14:00Benito Skinner?

Issa Bagel, man. Issa. Bagel one.

• 14:05Mary Beth Barone?

I have to say that the food came fresh. It shipped like a dream. And there was nothing wrong with the food.

• 14:12Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, if you're ordering food on the computer, it can feel scary about what's gonna show up. But let me tell you.

• 14:21Mary Beth Barone?

  So.

• 14:22Benito Skinner?

So if you're looking for the perfect gift for everyone on your list, or want to impress your friends and family with a pie cake in.

• 14:28Mary Beth Barone?

If you want to be the most talked about person at Christmas.

• 14:31Benito Skinner?

Of course, and make hosting a breeze this holiday season, go to goldbelly.com and get 20% off your first order with promo code RIDE. That's goldbelly.com code RIDE for 20% off your first order.

• 14:44Mary Beth Barone?

Bitch, please. Y'all know who the fuck I am.

• 14:46Benito Skinner?

  I'm ExpressVPN.

• 14:47Mary Beth Barone?

That's when ExpressVPN comes up on our list of ads.

• 14:50Benito Skinner?

Oh, sorry. I'm actually in interlocking right now. I can't access anything.

• 14:57Mary Beth Barone?

Going online without ExpressVPN is like not closing the door when you use the bathroom, which I actually do quite frequently.

• 15:02Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 15:02Mary Beth Barone?

But even if you have nothing to hide, maybe you don't want people to see you pee. And why give random creeps a chance to invade your privacy?

Oh, my God. Using the internet without ExpressVPN is like taking a call on a train or bus on the speaker for everyone to hear. Yeah, I've seen some of you guys. I know you did just do that with a Zoom. I heard everything. It's crazy because I like, I had so many things I wanted to say during. Next time, I'll just join. Do you really want the whole train to know about your medical test results? So that was a test to see if you guys were still on the train with us as we did that.

• 15:31Mary Beth Barone?

Because all your traffic flows through their servers. Internet service providers, including mobile network providers, know every single website you visit. And in the US, of course, ISPs are legally allowed to sell that information to advertisers because we live in a capitalistic society.

• 15:44Benito Skinner?

  Fuckers!

• 15:45Mary Beth Barone?

ExpressVPN is the best. It's the lowest price ever right now. Plans start at just $3.49 a month. That's 12 cents a day.

• 15:52Benito Skinner?

Oh, my God. And here's the thing. It hides your IP address, making it extremely difficult for third parties to track your online activity. You can't see me go from Essence to porn to Mary Beth's website. Good luck.

• 16:03Mary Beth Barone?

It works on all devices, phones, laptops, tablets, and more, so you can stay private on the go.

• 16:08Benito Skinner?

So this is something that I've recently just locked into because I think we all just need our data safe. Like, the last thing you want is your password taken. I'm sorry, like, we have enough shit to deal with. Like, I don't want that to happen to my girls. I want all of their computers totally encrypted. Do you get that?

• 16:24Mary Beth Barone?

Expressvpn.com/ridepod. Where in the world is Mary Beth Barone?

• 16:40Mary Beth Barone?

  I'll never tell.

• 16:41Benito Skinner?

Nevada. Like, I don't think about it, that people listen to these ads. That's what's exciting.

• 16:49Mary Beth Barone?

It's sort of this place where we get to just have fun.

• 16:51Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 16:52Mary Beth Barone?

We don't think about being perceived. On that note,

• 16:56Mary Beth Barone?

it's almost 2026, and you're still paying rent without Bilt. We cannot have that. Bilt is the loyalty program for renters that rewards you for your biggest monthly expense: rent. Merchants, merchant tiles. Just link your credit cards, spend at your favorite local spots, earn Bilt points on top of your regular card rewards, and get one step closer to that trip you wanted to take. Yep, all the way to Tahiti, baby. Oh, yeah. Personally, I'd redeem my points for Mary Beth.

• 17:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 17:46Benito Skinner?

I would do it to support you.

• 17:47Mary Beth Barone?

You can buy me on Bilt.

• 17:50Mary Beth Barone?

It doesn't go towards me. It doesn't go to my account. You purchase me. Personally, I am going to redeem my points for my New Year's trip with Benny Drama 7.

• 17:59Benito Skinner?

Bilt points have been ranked the most valuable point currency by The Points Guy. I got it.

• 18:03Mary Beth Barone?

  Maybe I should date him.

• 18:05Benito Skinner?

And they just announced Bilt Cash, a way to unlock even more value from Bilt's partners.

• 18:10Mary Beth Barone?

Join the loyalty program for renters at joinbilt.com/ride. That's J-O-I-N-B-I-L-T.com/ride. Make sure to use our URLs so they know that we send you. Oh, yeah.

• 18:20Benito Skinner?

  Oh, I'm built, built tough.

• 18:23Mary Beth Barone?

So my most Republican take, and now please keep in mind that I used to work at SoulCycle. I've worked both at HQ and in the studio. Among our responsibilities were, you know, giving shoes to people in the right size, checking them in, helping them with lockers, and also wiping down the bikes after class. Obviously wiping down the bikes after class, it's like no big deal, but it, it like makes a huge difference, right, in the cleanliness of the studio.

• 18:46Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, I can't imagine the bacteria on there.

• 18:48Mary Beth Barone?

So much, a lot of fluids.

• 18:49Benito Skinner?

I've been to two classes. I wonder what those things would be without the heat.

• 18:53Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Well, it's also like, it's what you make it. Life's what you make it, so let's make it rock.

• 18:59Benito Skinner?

They were saying crazy things, am I? And then they'd be like, you guys ready for your margarita after this? And I was like, kinda no.

• 19:05Mary Beth Barone?

Well, no, yeah, it's a lemon.

• 19:07Benito Skinner?

In this moment, not exactly, yeah.

• 19:09Mary Beth Barone?

But I've been to some workout classes where it's like $50 for a class. It's not a full hour, it's like 50 minutes. And then it's my job as the patron to wipe down the machinery. So I might be Republican in this, but I think if you're paying $50 for a workout class.

• 19:28Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 19:28Mary Beth Barone?

I just don't want to. Like, I've just worked out.

• 19:31Benito Skinner?

I hope this is the one clip we use from this.

• 19:33Mary Beth Barone?

Well, we don't control what the AI accounts are clipping, by the way.

• 19:36Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, that's not us. We would never add that many filters, just one or two.

• 19:41Mary Beth Barone?

Please just include the part where I say that I worked at the studio and I was totally fine with my job description including wiping the bikes down.

• 19:47Benito Skinner?

  You think the robots care?

• 19:48Mary Beth Barone?

  And we're doing a thorough.

• 19:51Benito Skinner?

Did you watch X Mahina, how she stripped?

• 19:53Mary Beth Barone?

  They don't care, I know.

• 19:54Benito Skinner?

  That sweet man.

• 19:55Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 19:55Benito Skinner?

  Into loving her.

• 19:56Mary Beth Barone?

And maybe I'm fucked up for it. I just think like, I did a better job than the riders would do. I wanted to make sure it was actually clean and we had, there was a lot of camaraderie. We would blast the music, we would wipe down the 50 something bikes.

• 20:06Benito Skinner?

  Spray it in your mouth.

• 20:07Mary Beth Barone?

Spray it in our mouths. And then turn them over for the next class. So I just think that if I've just paid that much for a class, I don't want to wipe the machinery down. But that's just me. Maybe there's people doing it and they're totally happy to.

• 20:18Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 20:18Mary Beth Barone?

  I just don't want to.

• 20:19Benito Skinner?

I hear that. God, I'm gonna be cute again at some point, y'all.

• 20:23Mary Beth Barone?

Any drama's burning the candle at both ends.

• 20:24Benito Skinner?

Look at me with this beard, y'all.

• 20:26Mary Beth Barone?

Look at him with this beard, y'all.

• 20:28Benito Skinner?

Look at me with this beard, y'all.

• 20:33Mary Beth Barone?

So I am hosting a swole Santa contest, which I've announced on my Instagram. It's December 13th in New York City, if you want to come. It's open to everyone to come. And I'm gonna be judging hot guys and I'm gonna find the swolest Santa.

• 20:43Benito Skinner?

I will be there, to everyone wondering.

• 20:46Mary Beth Barone?

Are you gonna be in the contest?

• 20:48Benito Skinner?

  God, maybe I should. Good.

• 20:52Benito Skinner?

That's what I'm gonna start with. Oh my gosh, I want to be Santa on stilts. You know, my big thing is I want to learn how to walk in stilts. Because I just want one day, but I'm not gonna tell you that I've been taking the classes. And then one day, I go, I go, look out your apartment window. And it's me.

• 21:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Me?

• 21:09Mary Beth Barone?

Oh my god. Wait, you, you in the middle of the courtyard?

• 21:13Benito Skinner?

On stilts. I want to be on stilts.

• 21:16Mary Beth Barone?

I keep checking your location in your summer random in like Staten Island.

• 21:19Benito Skinner?

No, I know, and you're like, what is he doing? And you're like, it's either trapeze or something like it. Oh my god, I tried to get a group of people to do trapeze with me in the summer, do you remember?

• 21:28Mary Beth Barone?

  No, when was this?

• 21:30Benito Skinner?

  Oh. Yeah.

• 21:32Mary Beth Barone?

  Before my time?

• 21:33Benito Skinner?

Just know that if I text you something like that, the clinical depression has returned. I'm looking for any way out.

• 21:38Mary Beth Barone?

It's sort of like when you texted me after we'd shot the red cover and said, we have to reshoot the cover. 12 huskies. Okay babe.

• 21:46Benito Skinner?

Sorry, you're friends with an auteur.

• 21:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, speaking of which.

• 21:50Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 21:51Mary Beth Barone?

I reached out to the baroni who made the come on kerplunk and like that Gothic stained glass. We're cooking up a little something.

• 21:58Benito Skinner?

  Oh.

• 21:59Mary Beth Barone?

  We're cooking up something.

• 22:00Benito Skinner?

Wait, I'm loving our hat, I'm loving the merch.

• 22:02Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, I love the hat too.

• 22:03Benito Skinner?

I want a straight guy to teach me how to distress it.

• 22:06Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, well, we'll ask Jeremy Allen White.

• 22:08Benito Skinner?

So we've, I, you know, I boldly have decided to look like dog shit on this pod for weeks and weeks.

• 22:15Mary Beth Barone?

I have too, I had glam today because of the milk.

• 22:17Benito Skinner?

I know, and I hate, and it does.

• 22:18Mary Beth Barone?

  And hey, and I'm sorry.

• 22:19Benito Skinner?

And it does a body good.

• 22:22Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm sorry, what were you?

• 22:26Benito Skinner?

  M M.

• 22:29Benito Skinner?

Wicked West. Does she know? I'm sure she knows, but like maybe not. It must be so, it's probably bliss.

• 22:36Mary Beth Barone?

I talked to someone who's incredibly famous a few weeks ago, and he just said to me, straight up, I haven't been on social media in five months. He has social media, someone's posting for him. He fully just said, I have not been on social media in five months. I have to hope Michelle Yeoh has not been on social media in five months.

• 22:53Benito Skinner?

I think she would think it was so funny, but maybe some of the other TikToks about. I mean, I think just Wicked in general, that's such a hard movie to be a part of.

• 22:59Mary Beth Barone?

  You're under a microscope.

• 23:00Benito Skinner?

Oh my god, that's a true, a true nightmare. And god, you can't even like, if you just wanna watch one thing. I think that's the hardest thing. It's like, even with overcompensating, it was like, oh, I just wanna see the good and then no matter what, you always go to the next one. Why is he wearing so much blush? It's like, cuz I fucking wanted to. And sometimes, actually, that's just rosacea. So actually, you've really triggered me. And I'm really going through it. I should've said that. I know, the, cuz seeing that clip though, I'm like, yeah, no, that's say, I think like spice or something on my cheeks.

• 23:34Mary Beth Barone?

  You came forward with that.

• 23:35Benito Skinner?

Couldn't look cuter. I loved it. I was, hey, I was happy with it.

• 23:38Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. Should we get into what we die for? We're doing a totaled episode today.

• 23:41Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I, okay, so I was gonna die for falsies, false eyelashes. They kinda drive me insane. But I don't want anyone to think that I think they look bad on people. It's just like, they drive me insane. And that's kind of all I'll say on it. So that's like a mini crash, I'd say. I would say, like, maybe a little fender bender. Is I'm just like, they just, they're never like placed right, I guess. Yours are though.

• 24:04Mary Beth Barone?

  And I tell you that.

• 24:05Benito Skinner?

  You're such a psycho.

• 24:06Mary Beth Barone?

Well, of course, you know me. I wouldn't walk out if it's not glued on properly.

• 24:09Benito Skinner?

Oh, I know, I was on set.

• 24:11Mary Beth Barone?

Mateen has been putting them underneath my lashes.

• 24:13Benito Skinner?

  That's delicious.

• 24:14Mary Beth Barone?

  Which is perfect.

• 24:15Benito Skinner?

  A few, like, the individuals.

• 24:17Mary Beth Barone?

Individuals. It's the strip lashes cuz the glue comes off and it's like, y'all need to be looking out for that. You have to be. It's your job.

• 24:23Benito Skinner?

In my head, the, oh my god, the individuals take up to six hours cuz they're putting like, what? They have to put a hundred tiny ones in the corner. I mean, I think it's all artistry, but something in me, it's like the OCD. I just wanna peel it off.

• 24:35Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 24:36Benito Skinner?

Immediately, I just wanna go, whoop.

• 24:37Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, get a tweezer in there.

• 24:38Benito Skinner?

Yeah. Maybe I'll put them on. I'll start wearing them every day.

• 24:41Mary Beth Barone?

  So that's a mini die.

• 24:42Benito Skinner?

Become the thing you fear the most, Batman.

• 24:44Mary Beth Barone?

  I fidget, literally.

• 24:45Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, I don't fly away.

• 24:46Mary Beth Barone?

I fidget so much. Oh, the ending of Wicked was very similar to, and clip that.

• 24:50Benito Skinner?

No, that was a movie, sorry.

• 24:52Mary Beth Barone?

  The ending of Wicked.

• 24:53Benito Skinner?

Fuck, last night was a fucking movie, by the way.

• 24:54Mary Beth Barone?

  It is Dark Knight.

• 24:55Benito Skinner?

Oh, did I send you that?

• 24:57Mary Beth Barone?

  No.

• 24:58Benito Skinner?

  Oh, okay.

• 24:59Mary Beth Barone?

I just came up with that.

• 25:00Benito Skinner?

Oh, it was on threads and it was like, they made the posters the same and I was just like, how have I not sent this to Mary Beth? And then I guess, maybe I didn't have wifi.

• 25:08Mary Beth Barone?

I guess you're not thinking of me.

• 25:09Benito Skinner?

Yeah, cuz then, and then someone has to die for good or some, so is Glinda low-key Batman then?

• 25:14Mary Beth Barone?

Glinda's Two-Face. Which actually kind of makes sense.

• 25:18Benito Skinner?

  Uh huh.

• 25:18Mary Beth Barone?

She was kind of flip flopping in that one.

• 25:19Benito Skinner?

I thought Ariana Grande was incredible in that movie.

• 25:21Mary Beth Barone?

Everyone put in very good acting performances.

• 25:24Benito Skinner?

A hundred percent. I loved, oh my god, I loved that sex scene with Alpha Bone and she has that big sweater.

• 25:29Mary Beth Barone?

I know. It made me want to buy a big sweater.

• 25:31Benito Skinner?

It made me want to do the opposite.

• 25:33Mary Beth Barone?

  To return a big sweater?

• 25:35Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 25:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Interesting. Okay.

• 25:37Benito Skinner?

  Not in a bad way.

• 25:39Mary Beth Barone?

  You didn't want one?

• 25:40Benito Skinner?

Don't think I need one. I have a really big one and I actually thought like, maybe I should give that to Mary Beth. You know that big blue one I have?

• 25:48Mary Beth Barone?

  No, but I want it.

• 25:49Benito Skinner?

Cool. So I will be dying for lines outside of stores.

• 25:53Mary Beth Barone?

And I will be dying for carrying things. Wait, where are we going?

• 25:59Benito Skinner?

  Who cares? Ride!

• 26:01Mary Beth Barone?

And I would love to go first.

• 26:02Benito Skinner?

Hey, the things Mary Beth carried.

• 26:05Mary Beth Barone?

Because I don't want to be carrying this. I don't want to be sitting on it. So something about me is I have a lot of body pain. The body keeps score and I've been through a lot.

• 26:15Benito Skinner?

Kelly, what a dumpster fire year. I'm excited for your 2026.

• 26:19Mary Beth Barone?

Same. No, seriously, I need this year to end.

• 26:22Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, me too.

• 26:23Mary Beth Barone?

So I have a lot of shoulder pain, chronic neck pain. My neck hurts right now. It's like a whole thing. I had to change how I sleep. I can't sleep on my stomach anymore. I have to sleep on my back and side because of my neck. That's tough. Just to add on top of everything else this year, I did change my sleep style after 34 years. It's like, give me a fucking break.

• 26:38Benito Skinner?

  No, I can't even imagine.

• 26:39Mary Beth Barone?

I'm constantly in pain all the time and I have this physical therapist in Midtown who I love and he's really helping me. I despise carrying things. I don't want to do it. I want someone else to do it.

• 26:52Benito Skinner?

  Hmm.

• 26:52Mary Beth Barone?

I want to have a boyfriend or a stud girlfriend who is going to carry my shit.

• 26:58Benito Skinner?

  Stud girlfriend.

• 26:59Mary Beth Barone?

  Or a stud gay guy.

• 26:59Benito Skinner?

  No stud girlfriend.

• 27:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Stud girlfriend.

• 27:01Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 27:02Mary Beth Barone?

  A stud girlfriend.

• 27:03Benito Skinner?

  Hi, I'm the stud girlfriend.

• 27:04Mary Beth Barone?

  Stands before me.

• 27:05Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 27:06Mary Beth Barone?

So I just want someone to carry my shit. Like, I just really don't want to. I just don't want to. This is the same reason why I could never rob a house. I ain't carrying this shit out here.

• 27:15Benito Skinner?

  No, exactly.

• 27:16Mary Beth Barone?

  Not a chance.

• 27:16Benito Skinner?

Well, you pointed out too, stud girlfriend.

• 27:19Mary Beth Barone?

Bonnie. Best case stud girlfriend Bonnie.

• 27:21Benito Skinner?

  Call me Bonnie.

• 27:22Mary Beth Barone?

I'll call you Bonnie. I think, I don't know, maybe I sound like a total brat this episode. I'm just like, I don't want to clean sweaty gear.

• 27:30Benito Skinner?

  What did we tell them?

• 27:31Mary Beth Barone?

  Madam Morrible, wicked witch.

• 27:35Benito Skinner?

I am so madam morrible and you are so wicked witch.

• 27:38Mary Beth Barone?

Carrying things, yeah, it bums me out. So when I got to this brand activation today, I had to bring all my wardrobe, my laptop, my bag, a bag with shoes and my hair extensions.

• 27:47Benito Skinner?

Such a tiny girl, so many things.

• 27:48Mary Beth Barone?

And I got dropped off and then I had to get into one world trade, so I was just carrying all this crap. I don't want it to sound like we're just complaining nonstop. If anything, I just want to empower. We're all about empowerment this season. I think that's been our big theme. Empower you to just have a bitch sesh tonight about something that's pissing you off. Don't post about it maybe on social media, because I feel like sometimes, even this episode, I'm just like worried about how it's going to be perceived, but I just, yeah, I'm a delicate flower and I don't want to carry stuff and I think-

• 28:15Benito Skinner?

I mean, it sucks. Like, I, sometimes I enjoy it because I'm like, I want to be useful. Like, I was at your house for Thanksgiving. My goodness, how gorgeous was that?

• 28:23Mary Beth Barone?

It was a really fun event.

• 28:24Benito Skinner?

Your mom is so, I love all your family, but your mom and I, oh my god. Your mom was wearing this fedora by the end of the night. I believe it was your dad's old hat. And we could not stop going.

• 28:35Benito Skinner?

Wait, I'm gonna piss my pants. I can't even think.

• 28:39Mary Beth Barone?

  Go on, babe, go on.

• 28:41Benito Skinner?

When you're walking, there's a scene. And then what was the other one we did? We did the-

• 28:49Mary Beth Barone?

  I'm feeling-

• 28:50Benito Skinner?

Oh, yeah, yeah. It's a new love. It's a new day. It's a new life for me. And I'm feeling- And your mom takes that up. Good.

• 29:04Mary Beth Barone?

My mom. My mom. Because we were sharing a bed, so Pinky was in her crate, which was in my dad's office, which is next to my parents' room. So in the morning, my mom would text me, "Your girl is chirping." For when Pinky woke up.

• 29:17Benito Skinner?

  Sorry, that's incredible.

• 29:18Mary Beth Barone?

"Your girl is chirping." She sent me the exact same text two days in a row. "Your girl is chirping."

• 29:23Benito Skinner?

  She's perfect.

• 29:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Made me laugh so hard.

• 29:25Benito Skinner?

For having, oh my god, and just like the amount of bags I had in that house. She goes, "Are you moving in?" Promise.

• 29:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Speaking of carrying things.

• 29:32Benito Skinner?

Carrying things, oh my god, I've been carrying things for weeks.

• 29:34Mary Beth Barone?

You've been carrying things for a while.

• 29:35Benito Skinner?

Yeah, I've been like, I'm in between, I'm in between places right now. I'm, it's- I wish.

• 29:40Mary Beth Barone?

You're a nomad in a lot of ways.

• 29:41Benito Skinner?

I wish I was at a brand activation, but I'm in between places right now. So, oh God, I've been carrying things nonstop. So I really hear that. But something about on set, I really love carrying things. Like I love my big tote bag and then my other tote bag and then my backpack. I love carrying things because I kept thinking like, I'm not really a cook here, but I would love to, you know, this.

• 30:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Help.

• 30:01Benito Skinner?

This big old rig I got.

• 30:02Mary Beth Barone?

  Upstairs, downstairs, things like that.

• 30:04Benito Skinner?

Yeah. So I'm happy. I'm the stud girlfriend. I'm the girlfriend who stepped up.

• 30:07Mary Beth Barone?

You are. And my other thing is like, cause I'm constantly on the hunt for like the perfect bag. But I had this realization at one point as I was shopping and I just thought there is no such thing as the perfect bag because the perfect bag is a bag that someone else is carrying for me.

• 30:21Benito Skinner?

  So beautiful.

• 30:22Mary Beth Barone?

Until I get to that point, maybe that'll never happen. I don't know. It's just an aspiration of mine.

• 30:27Benito Skinner?

So then would the thought be that you get a bag that your guy would love to carry?

• 30:30Mary Beth Barone?

  Maybe.

• 30:31Benito Skinner?

  A little.

• 30:32Mary Beth Barone?

Well, I want that Dior bag on the real, real.

• 30:34Benito Skinner?

  An Hermes Kelly's?

• 30:35Mary Beth Barone?

  So bad.

• 30:36Benito Skinner?

Oh, I know. I love that bag for you.

• 30:38Mary Beth Barone?

I'm eyeing it, but you know how I know it's overpriced? Cause it's still available.

• 30:41Benito Skinner?

  Of course.

• 30:42Mary Beth Barone?

And I'm not going to be the fool that pays that much.

• 30:43Benito Skinner?

A Nepo, it's not from a Nepo baby, by the way, it's from a true semillia.

• 30:47Mary Beth Barone?

Totally. Yeah. And I wonder why they're getting rid of it. We'll never know.

• 30:51Benito Skinner?

Too many bags. It was so funny. We were at the dinner with Mary Beth and her family. And she was like, I really want this Dior bag. And I was like, okay, let's see if I can guess it. And I got

• 30:58Mary Beth Barone?

  So close.

• 30:59Benito Skinner?

Disgustingly close to what it was.

• 31:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 31:01Benito Skinner?

It really, that was one of those few times. Your brother was like, real recognize real.

• 31:06Mary Beth Barone?

He goes, oh, so you know Ball?

• 31:07Benito Skinner?

Yeah. And I said, oh, Ball? Yeah.

• 31:11Mary Beth Barone?

  I know Ball.

• 31:12Benito Skinner?

  Madam Mar Ball, motherfucker.

• 31:14Mary Beth Barone?

I will say another thing I'm doing because carrying things can also be metaphorically. I'm going to see like a cranial something masseuse tomorrow. Or wait, no Wednesday.

• 31:24Benito Skinner?

Carrying that galaxy brain around. I mean, I can't imagine.

• 31:26Mary Beth Barone?

Really heavy. It hurts. But I think there's just a lot of like narratives I'm like clinging on to that I need to let go of so I can like free myself.

• 31:32Benito Skinner?

  Oh, totally.

• 31:33Mary Beth Barone?

Cause I've just been carrying a lot. And obviously this year too, it's like added a bunch more. I need to clean house. I need to get out with the old, in with the new trauma. Come on now.

• 31:42Benito Skinner?

Come on now, trauma. Can't wait to meet ya. Here's a seat at the dinner table.

• 31:46Mary Beth Barone?

  Welcome to the table.

• 31:47Benito Skinner?

Meditations that are like, let all your things, let them sit. At the table and I'm like, I think we can tell her she's good.

• 31:52Mary Beth Barone?

  She's done for now.

• 31:53Benito Skinner?

  You're actually not.

• 31:54Mary Beth Barone?

Like things that happened to me in college where I'm just like, I want to let that go.

• 31:57Benito Skinner?

Well, you know, make a TV show and you are. So we're getting pretty close.

• 32:02Mary Beth Barone?

Did you see how my neck hurts? Like I'm having to massage it.

• 32:05Benito Skinner?

Back. It's the things I carry in this low back. Can someone carry this ass around for me for a couple of days? Holy shit.

• 32:11Mary Beth Barone?

My AirPods are too heavy. They're giving me neck pain. My AirPods.

• 32:15Benito Skinner?

The big ones. You have to say this.

• 32:17Mary Beth Barone?

They're not the big ones. It's the in the near ones.

• 32:20Benito Skinner?

  Oh, sweetie.

• 32:21Mary Beth Barone?

My physical therapist said that's what's doing it.

• 32:23Benito Skinner?

  Why are you so coralline?

• 32:24Mary Beth Barone?

I don't know. I'm in so much pain. I think if I had someone to like, hold me and take care of me, it would help at least a little bit. I have to imagine it would help a little bit. Oh, and by the way, I'm not dating right now. Isn't that cool?

• 32:37Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 32:37Mary Beth Barone?

I'm not dating until after I do my special.

• 32:40Benito Skinner?

  I love that.

• 32:40Mary Beth Barone?

  I just don't want to.

• 32:41Benito Skinner?

You told that to me and I thought that was, I thought it was totally fabulous.

• 32:44Mary Beth Barone?

  I just don't want to.

• 32:44Benito Skinner?

As your friend, I was going very, I was doing thumbs down and then you said that and I went.

• 32:49Mary Beth Barone?

  Can I say?

• 32:50Benito Skinner?

  Thumbs up.

• 32:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Wicked witch.

• 32:51Benito Skinner?

Madam Morrible. In that moment, I thought Madam Morrible, actually.

• 32:54Mary Beth Barone?

I can't, I don't have the emotional bandwidth, capacity, et cetera.

• 32:58Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 32:58Mary Beth Barone?

  I just need to focus.

• 33:00Benito Skinner?

I'm so excited. It's gonna be so fabulous. And yeah, why, you don't want to deal with all that bullshit.

• 33:06Mary Beth Barone?

No, I have enough. I need to make room for the new stuff.

• 33:09Benito Skinner?

And new year, I mean, the new beginnings. I mean, I can't even get into it. I've been back on the pattern app lately and it's just, I'm like completely electrified.

• 33:17Mary Beth Barone?

It's so funny because I feel like that came out maybe in pandemic. And it was like, guys, well, download the pattern app instead of going to therapy.

• 33:25Benito Skinner?

  Well.

• 33:25Mary Beth Barone?

  You're doing both.

• 33:26Benito Skinner?

What if a man did both?

• 33:27Mary Beth Barone?

Imagine how healed you're about to be.

• 33:29Benito Skinner?

Oh, speaking of which, so for anyone who's going through a dermatitis journey like yours truly, I can't, I actually don't even look at me. It's, it's a whole thing.

• 33:37Mary Beth Barone?

I can't comment on it because you look fine.

• 33:40Benito Skinner?

  I love you.

• 33:40Mary Beth Barone?

I love you. People love the hair, facial hair too.

• 33:43Benito Skinner?

  See myself through your eyes.

• 33:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Me too.

• 33:45Benito Skinner?

I was working with a specialist and it's kind of like nervous system component. And it's like, just always feeling unsafe. And it's so common to just be like, you're watching the news, you're going on the internet, you're doing all these things make you feel so unsafe. So just being more thoughtful of just maybe carrying a little bit less. I think this is actually really beautiful that you've crashed for this.

• 34:06Mary Beth Barone?

  It's two things.

• 34:07Benito Skinner?

  I'm about to crash.

• 34:08Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 34:08Benito Skinner?

I hate seeing you carry things because you already carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Let me take that back.

• 34:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Thank you.

Picture this, you're going about your day when suddenly a horrifying thought flashes through your mind. I want to kill Benny Drama 7 in cold blood.

• 37:39Benito Skinner?

Maybe it's a fear of something happening to a loved one, so me, a disturbing or sexual image that keeps replaying in your mind, or an urge to do something you don't want to do. Your heart races, your palms sweat, and anxiety washes over you. You're mortified and you feel fully convinced that it's true, even though you know you don't want to kill Benny Drama 7 in cold blood. That's not who you are. But still, the question of, why did I think that? Am I a bad person? What was that? Start to consume you and you feel like you have to do something, anything to make them go away. That sounds familiar and I know during the holidays, it definitely does for a lot of you. Here's the thing about those disturbing unwanted thoughts. They're more common than you think. In fact, almost everyone has them. But for people with obsessive compulsive disorder, or OCD, like Benny Drama, they usually cause a lot of distress and feel hard to stop thinking about.

• 38:24Benito Skinner?

NoCD is a virtual therapy provider for OCD that's here to help anyone struggling with OCD and taboo or shameful thoughts get the treatment and support they need. Unlike general therapy providers, every NoCD therapist specializes in OCD. So they deeply understand intrusive thoughts. That means no matter how disturbing, taboo, or shameful you think something is, like killing queers, folks, Benny Drama, America's gay boy next door, who really hasn't gotten his flowers yet. Or therapy sessions are a safe space to be open about it. To learn more about therapy with NOCD, go to nocd.com and schedule a free 15 minute call with their team. That's nocd.com to learn more and book a free 15 minute call. So my caveat is like, of course, like fire hazards.

• 39:08Benito Skinner?

I'm aware that some stores cannot, like, there's a capacity issue. That's not what I'm talking about. But after the pandemic, a few stores thought, we liked that. Create the illusion of exclusivity. Yes, I made the mistake within this past year of around a straight guy saying like Supreme's like business model. And this man launched into it and I had just brought it up, meaning I knew what it was. It's like, you know, you'll sell this many units, cut it in half. There you go. Supply and demand. Supply and demand. It was explained to me, but I know that that's the illusion of it. Just the line outside Missouri and like, like near Mott Street. I'm just like, and do you understand that the line outside Missouri is also a poem?

• 39:54Benito Skinner?

Like I just read you. I know. Yeah, that was like beautiful. Yeah. But there's something about it that's just driving me insane. Cause I'm like, you have room in the store, just let people into it. This is insane. And I'm just like literally going in there to get like one thing quickly. Like you're being crazy. Yeah, you sound insane right now. You sound insane right now. You at Missouri? Me with the bouncer. You sound insane. You sound crazy. I'm trying to get a chain bracelet. It's just driving me crazy and it's everywhere. It's rampant. Like if you go anywhere in New York and in LA, oh my God, there's a line. They make lines for everything now. I know.

• 40:28Mary Beth Barone?

I'm sure some stores are doing it for loss prevention because they don't want things to get lifted out of the store. However, here's what I will say.

• 40:35Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 40:35Mary Beth Barone?

Think about it because it's like constantly.

• 40:37Benito Skinner?

Think about Sephora. Sephora is like, come on down.

• 40:39Mary Beth Barone?

Because they've figured out that the amount of product that they're losing via theft is offset by the number of people that are in the store spending money. Because that's what it comes down to.

• 40:50Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 40:50Mary Beth Barone?

It's like, it's a cost benefit analysis in a lot of ways.

• 40:53Benito Skinner?

I could explain this to any of the people.

• 40:55Mary Beth Barone?

Any of the people and you go.

• 40:56Benito Skinner?

  The bouncers.

• 40:57Mary Beth Barone?

Is this line deterring enough customers who would have bought that are not going to buy because they're not going to wait to offset like a ring or two going missing? I don't know the answer to that. Maybe Missouri has figured out that it does make sense. But there's many, many other stores that have things all behind glass. Or the items are not as easy to like put in and it's just like, why are you, okay.

• 41:17Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 41:18Mary Beth Barone?

We went to a club in London.

• 41:20Benito Skinner?

  Oh my God, speak on.

• 41:22Mary Beth Barone?

Line of 15 people. We get to the front.

• 41:25Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 41:26Mary Beth Barone?

  The place is empty. Empty.

• 41:29Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 41:30Mary Beth Barone?

Somehow the people in front of us in line weren't even in there. It was just us.

• 41:33Benito Skinner?

  No, no, well they.

• 41:34Mary Beth Barone?

  There was no one else.

• 41:35Benito Skinner?

Do you understand that they went out the back door and went right back into line? It was a little caterpillar.

• 41:40Mary Beth Barone?

  It made no sense.

• 41:40Benito Skinner?

Yeah, we got fucked. It was an amusement park ride.

• 41:42Mary Beth Barone?

I know. It was totally insane, but I agree. I just, I don't like the optics of it. I don't like that. You know what I'm really bumping up against lately is the optics of exclusivity. The optics of, I can't say it.

• 41:55Benito Skinner?

Exclusivity. If you have to fake it, it's not exclusive. Come on now. Knock it off.

• 41:59Mary Beth Barone?

  I don't like it. I really don't.

• 42:01Benito Skinner?

Oh my God, it at outlets, like the Capisson outlets outside Palm Springs. I'm like, let me in.

• 42:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Let me in. No.

• 42:08Benito Skinner?

  Let me in.

• 42:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Stay in line.

• 42:09Benito Skinner?

Stay in line, but it's like, oh my God, like you have enough like sales associates.

• 42:14Mary Beth Barone?

  All I hear.

• 42:14Benito Skinner?

All of these things have, they have the, they have the, what's it called? Like little monitors, the little. The be be be be be.

• 42:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, of course.

• 42:21Benito Skinner?

You know. Oh, yeah, the be be be be be.

• 42:23Mary Beth Barone?

The, you know, the theft, whatever they call it.

• 42:25Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, theft prevention.

• 42:26Mary Beth Barone?

The censors. But my other thing is like, everyone keeps talking about how brick and mortar's struggling. Everyone's going online.

• 42:32Benito Skinner?

Hey, I have a few notes and I think I can get, I can get us back.

• 42:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Cut the shit.

• 42:38Benito Skinner?

  Schools in malls.

• 42:40Mary Beth Barone?

  Schools in malls.

• 42:41Benito Skinner?

  Schools in malls.

• 42:43Mary Beth Barone?

That's how we revive the art form of malls.

• 42:44Benito Skinner?

Imagine the popular girl going to Orange Julius every morning.

• 42:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Going into Wet Seal.

• 42:49Benito Skinner?

  Cool.

• 42:50Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 42:50Benito Skinner?

She's eating Panda Express orange chicken every day for lunch.

• 42:54Mary Beth Barone?

I just think it's not good for business.

• 42:57Benito Skinner?

It's not good for business and that's my thing. And it's just, yeah, I think that's the thing too. It just is like elitist. It's annoying and it's like, ah, it's like all these weird power dynamics in it. And it's just like, come on, dude.

• 43:09Mary Beth Barone?

  Dude.

• 43:10Benito Skinner?

  Come on.

• 43:10Mary Beth Barone?

Well, actually, this feeds into something that I've been bumping up against. And I hate to be so negative, but I'm having like event fatigue and it's not even like attending events. It's more just like how many events? And I think because I engage with posts about events, they're coming up more for me. And I'm just like, it's just a lot of events.

• 43:26Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 43:27Mary Beth Barone?

Like, it's a lot of events.

• 43:28Benito Skinner?

Like, let's see if we can like slim it down to like a couple a year, you guys. I know we can do it.

• 43:32Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, it's just feeling like every store opening in every city, it's like an event.

• 43:37Benito Skinner?

I know, which I'm like, I'm happy to see stores opening, I guess. That means that like brick and mortar's back.

• 43:41Mary Beth Barone?

But then they have a line outside because of the event.

• 43:43Benito Skinner?

Well, of course. More lines for Benny Drama. Stud girlfriend to Mary Beth Barone. So I got on the New York Magazine Culture Addy 50 list. And someone goes, they spelled Mary Beth's name wrong when it was, it said me. And I was like, that's so funny. Kind of dragging me, but I was like, that's incredible. I was like, I love that. I love reading me down.

• 44:05Mary Beth Barone?

And there will be an event for that.

• 44:06Benito Skinner?

Of course, I'm going on Wednesday.

• 44:07Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:08Benito Skinner?

God, it's so weird because I'm such a terrible dinner guest lately because we're just like, we're in the thick of writing this big puppy. So I'll literally just be sitting there and like a song will play or something. And I'm like, here it is.

• 44:19Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:20Benito Skinner?

I think I feel distant. I'm sure I'll be such a fun Christmas guest.

• 44:23Mary Beth Barone?

No, I, yeah, it's end of the year. It's like, there's just, maybe there's a lot of fatigue.

• 44:28Benito Skinner?

I think there's fatigue everywhere. And oh, God, I can't imagine the lines during the holidays outside Missouri. There was a huge line outside Everlane today too. That, I was like, the fuck? Like, that's a big store.

• 44:37Mary Beth Barone?

  That's a huge store.

• 44:38Benito Skinner?

So I broke the glass and I said, for everybody.

• 44:41Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 44:43Benito Skinner?

  For everyone.

• 44:44Mary Beth Barone?

You brought a big log like in Beauty and the Beast.

• 44:46Benito Skinner?

I didn't need it. I did a big, yeah, bat. I did one bat.

• 44:49Mary Beth Barone?

  You brought a bat.

• 44:49Benito Skinner?

  A supreme baseball bat.

• 44:51Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah, a metal one.

• 44:52Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 44:53Mary Beth Barone?

  It's a lot of fatigue. I'm feeling.

• 44:55Benito Skinner?

To be ordinary. You know that song?

• 44:59Mary Beth Barone?

Speaking of fatigue, we are doing two rerun episodes over the holidays. I just want to preface that I would love for you to still listen to them. Like even if you've heard them before, we're doing Encyclopedia of Ride.

• 45:11Benito Skinner?

  Uh huh.

• 45:11Mary Beth Barone?

Listen again. Would it kill you to listen again?

• 45:13Benito Skinner?

Hey, come on. We would never not listen to the Encyclopedia of Ride again.

• 45:16Mary Beth Barone?

It was supposed to be again.

• 45:18Benito Skinner?

I can't stop thinking about We Would Never Not Come to Dinner because it's like so us in every single way.

• 45:25Mary Beth Barone?

I also think we've misquoted it too. Like it wasn't that.

• 45:28Benito Skinner?

No, but I actually think you're so right, but like I'll never check. And I can see it all so vividly. Like we would never not come to dinner.

• 45:38Mary Beth Barone?

  Us at Thanksgiving.

• 45:39Benito Skinner?

Yeah, me at any event during, oh my God, I played Just Dance. There was so much joy. There were a ton of things to ride for today, but like let's freaking crash and burn.

• 45:47Mary Beth Barone?

I feel bad. I'm like, are people going to be mad about this? I don't know.

• 45:50Benito Skinner?

  You know what?

• 45:51Mary Beth Barone?

I just feel bad. I don't want to be negative. I guess we're positive a lot of the time.

• 45:55Benito Skinner?

I have to be negative about one more thing. So while you're flying, I almost crashed for this, but then it felt too like really specific and maybe the title would have gotten too long.

• 46:03Mary Beth Barone?

  It would have gotten flagged.

• 46:04Benito Skinner?

But unless you have a connecting flight that better be leaving very soon. When you come from back of the plane or it can be either one seat behind. And you try to cut the person who's in the seats before you to get off the plane.

• 46:18Mary Beth Barone?

  There's a, there's a social contract.

• 46:19Benito Skinner?

  You'll be meeting floor.

• 46:21Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 46:21Benito Skinner?

  You'll be meeting.

• 46:22Mary Beth Barone?

  Person up.

• 46:23Benito Skinner?

You'll be meeting the runway and it's because Benny Drama broke your knees, love.

• 46:27Mary Beth Barone?

And you can tell, I feel like when someone has a connecting flight because they're always, they're always conferencing with the flight attendants.

• 46:32Benito Skinner?

I can always tell. Yeah. And, and that to me, I'm like, go.

• 46:36Mary Beth Barone?

  Go. Get your girl.

• 46:38Benito Skinner?

I literally almost grabbed him by the shoulder. Go get her. He's like, what? Wait, actually that's a challenge this holiday season. If somebody, if somebody gets to have the pleasure of cutting you on a plane and you think it's for all the right reasons. Grab them by the shoulder, no matter the gender and say, go get her.

• 46:55Mary Beth Barone?

  Go get her.

• 46:56Benito Skinner?

  And wink.

• 46:56Mary Beth Barone?

  Hey, welcome.

• 46:57Benito Skinner?

Merry Christmas. Like you're the one who allowed them to.

• 47:00Mary Beth Barone?

  Right.

• 47:01Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 47:01Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 47:02Benito Skinner?

Oh, I was at this gay event in London.

• 47:05Mary Beth Barone?

  An event?

• 47:06Benito Skinner?

I had to pee so bad and it was the first time in my life where I was like, I wonder if this straight girl. I'm not saying that I just immediately knew she was straight, but I did in every way. She was a straight girl at this kind of gay night. It was like a dance night and I just had to pee so bad and I was just like, can I please cut? And she was like, I got you, girl. And it was just the first time in my life I would have ever really done. Cause I'm like, women spend their whole lives waiting in lines to go to bathrooms. Like, that's just kind of like, I can't imagine how much of your life was wasted. She did in that moment and I think she understood what pride meant. So I'm just shouting her out, wherever you are. Wherever, wherever you are. Is that Kesha?

• 47:47Mary Beth Barone?

You are throwing out some musical references this episode that I do not know.

• 47:51Benito Skinner?

To be ordinary. Back in the day, the sanctuary. Out of marble. Out of marble.

• 47:58Mary Beth Barone?

Wicked witch. You know what you are, Benny?

• 48:01Benito Skinner?

  Hmm, I [BLEEP].

• 48:03Mary Beth Barone?

Your words, not mine. Babe, you're my ride or die.

• 48:06Benito Skinner?

  Ride or die.

• 48:08Mary Beth Barone?

So I'd obviously die for lines outside of stores. I mean, if you have a good reason, I guess, fine. But my immediate instinct, if I see that is like, what's going on in there? And actually, don't tell me. And furthermore, I don't need to see it.

• 48:20Benito Skinner?

Me, every time I'm like, I, it makes me sad, but I go, can get it online. I say that to everyone in line. Get this shit online. Hey, you got this shit online. Hey, hey, you got this shit online. Cause you go in the store and they don't have any stock. So you think you're gonna go in there to try something on? Forget about it. I ride for carrying things. I die for you having to carry things.

• 48:44Mary Beth Barone?

  Thank you.

• 48:45Benito Skinner?

  Do you understand that?

• 48:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 48:46Benito Skinner?

It's like, I, I, I hate seeing you carry a big old thing. You had trash and I was gonna take it, but then you wanted to walk with me.

• 48:52Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, I wanted to walk you to the elevator.

• 48:54Benito Skinner?

But I was happy to like get my, get my arm, my forearm workout for you.

• 48:57Mary Beth Barone?

I think, yeah, it's just living alone too. I'm just like, I am responsible for so much of my own shit.

• 49:03Benito Skinner?

  I know.

• 49:03Mary Beth Barone?

And I, I know that many people are living that way. I'm not saying it's just me, but it would be nice to.

• 49:11Benito Skinner?

It's just you in a lot of ways.

• 49:12Mary Beth Barone?

Share the load sometimes. I'm carrying a lot.

• 49:14Benito Skinner?

  Let's share this load.

• 49:15Mary Beth Barone?

  Share the load.

• 49:16Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 49:17Mary Beth Barone?

Find someone you can share the load with. So I hope this episode wasn't too much of a bummer and I don't know, maybe send your group chat. You all have an opportunity. Oh, have I told you guys this in my group chat?

• 49:25Benito Skinner?

Bitching about things is good for people. It's good for everyone. You know, it's like toxic positivity does exist.

• 49:31Mary Beth Barone?

  I know.

• 49:31Benito Skinner?

And then you gotta be like, this shit pisses me off.

• 49:33Mary Beth Barone?

  We're keeping it real.

• 49:34Benito Skinner?

And it feels so good, like you, oh God, and everyone's gonna go home and you see friends and family and whoever and you just, sometimes you gotta just bitch. My favorite person to bitch to is a person who's wrapping presents. Get them in a room.

• 49:45Mary Beth Barone?

  Oh, yeah.

• 49:46Benito Skinner?

Get that bitch in a room.

• 49:47Mary Beth Barone?

Oh, yeah. Go and go all the way off.

• 49:49Benito Skinner?

  And say.

• 49:50Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, no. And we did that. We did a little side barring at Thanksgiving too.

• 49:54Benito Skinner?

My favorite thing in the world to go, to close the door, to take you and Vicky into a room and go, what the?

• 50:00Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah. In my group chat and my friends from high school, my friend Emily said we should start doing a rec of the week, like a recommendation of the week. So every week, everyone has a recommendation and then one week.

• 50:10Benito Skinner?

  Cute.

• 50:10Mary Beth Barone?

One week, autocorrect changed it to rec of the week as in W R E C K, like car rec of the week.

• 50:17Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 50:17Mary Beth Barone?

So then sometimes when we have a negative thing, we do a rec of the week.

• 50:20Benito Skinner?

Oh, I thought it was a compilation video of like car wrecks. Like I love this one.

• 50:24Mary Beth Barone?

I mean, that would be cool. Maybe no casualties.

• 50:27Benito Skinner?

Well, of course, always no casualties.

• 50:30Mary Beth Barone?

Yeah, maybe just take some space for a rec of the week this week and.

• 50:33Benito Skinner?

There really are two people, two types of people in the world. The people who stare at wrecks when they pass them and the people who don't. I, I never do.

• 50:40Mary Beth Barone?

It's not, I wanna, I'm on my way to a place.

• 50:43Benito Skinner?

That's so crazy. Also, I'm like, what if I see something that alters like my brain chemistry for the rest of my life?

• 50:48Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 50:48Benito Skinner?

  I don't wanna see that.

• 50:49Mary Beth Barone?

That's between them and God, whatever happened there.

• 50:51Benito Skinner?

It's private. I'm like, oh God.

• 50:53Mary Beth Barone?

  It's really private.

• 50:54Benito Skinner?

It's private and it could be scary.

• 50:56Mary Beth Barone?

You're holding up traffic. Let's go. Let's go.

• 50:59Benito Skinner?

  Let's go. It's a man.

• 51:00Mary Beth Barone?

It's a movie and you're an adult. You should know that.

• 51:03Benito Skinner?

  You're an adult.

• 51:03Mary Beth Barone?

Oh my God, wait. This weekend, someone in my family asked Vicky something and we were quoting "It's a movie." So as the person was walking away, she goes, "You're an adult. You should know that." And then she's like, "Wait, I didn't mean you, though."

• 51:17Benito Skinner?

  Yeah, no, sorry.

• 51:18Mary Beth Barone?

  Sorry, not about you.

• 51:19Benito Skinner?

Oh, God, sorry. We were doing a really specific Britney Spears meme, word for word.

• 51:23Mary Beth Barone?

  Yeah.

• 51:23Benito Skinner?

  Yeah.

• 51:24Mary Beth Barone?

  Not a mortal.

• 51:25Benito Skinner?

  Wicked witch! Oh, my exit.

• 51:30Mary Beth Barone?

Anybody by the road? There you go!
