One of my first friends in... Gang and stand up comedy.

• 2:11H. Foley?

When Moses wore short pants, we were hanging out, running around the streets of Philly together. It was fucking fantastic.

• 2:16Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 2:17H. Foley?

He's got a hot Bud Light commercial out right now. You gotta check out.

• 2:20Speaker 01

  Sure, I forgot about that.

• 2:21H. Foley?

Kids all over the place. Saturdays, Sundays, college, pros, he's all over the joint. And you can hear him every week on his amazing podcast, Little Stinkers. Give it up for John Del Calo.

• 2:31Speaker 01

  Hey.

• 2:32Speaker 03

  Hey, buddy.

• 2:34H. Foley?

  Good to see you.

• 2:35Speaker 03

  How are you guys?

• 2:36H. Foley?

I thought you were doing your hair in the bathroom.

• 2:37Speaker 03

Yeah, I had to put a hat over it. It didn't turn out great.

• 2:41Speaker 01

He's in there, oh, this is going bad. I got a hat.

• 2:45H. Foley?

What do you use? What's, what's the product in the hair?

• 2:47Speaker 03

I just put a little Moroccan oil in it when I get out of the shower, you know? Oil of Argon, what do you get, whenever you get a target?

• 2:53Speaker 01

  Oil of Argon.

• 2:54Speaker 03

  Some shit like that.

• 2:56Speaker 01

Sounds like something from fucking Star Trek.

• 2:58Speaker 03

Whatever I'm using ain't working, alright?

• 3:00H. Foley?

Little Klingon jizz, get it going. Moroccan oil, I respect that.

• 3:04Speaker 01

  I know that stuff.

• 3:05Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 3:05Speaker 01

  That's, that's fancy stuff.

• 3:07Speaker 03

Yeah, it's, I get about four good hair days a year, so.

• 3:10H. Foley?

Can I, can I, can I recommend something?

• 3:12Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 3:13H. Foley?

  As a fellow follicle man?

• 3:15Speaker 01

  Hoagies.

• 3:17Speaker 03

  Mayonnaise.

• 3:19H. Foley?

Um, castor oil. Have you heard about it?

• 3:22Speaker 03

  No.

• 3:23Speaker 01

  Isn't that for cars?

• 3:24H. Foley?

No. It was, I think, to make you throw up when you were a kid. Little castor oil in there, it's nice. It's better than any of those, uh, the hair gels or the pomades or whatever, a little bit of castor oil.

• 3:35Speaker 03

You're more follicle gifted than me.

• 3:36H. Foley?

Nah, what do you mean? You're killing it.

• 3:38Speaker 03

Nah, my shit curls up. It's steaming up under here as we speak. I'm gonna have fucking dreadlocks again when I take my hat off.

• 3:44Speaker 01

Although he did have dreadlocks at one point, I do believe.

• 3:47H. Foley?

  You did?

• 3:48Speaker 01

  Also, put him.

• 3:48H. Foley?

You had dreads? Not when I knew you.

• 3:51Speaker 03

No, no, no, no. I had dreads and an eyebrow ring my freshman year of college.

• 3:55H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 3:56Speaker 01

  That's, that's a guy.

• 3:58H. Foley?

Well, thanks for coming in. That's crazy.

• 4:01Speaker 01

You're the first white dude with dreads we've ever had on the show.

• 4:03Speaker 03

  Alright, yeah.

• 4:04Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 4:04H. Foley?

How does that happen? You just stop washing your hair?

• 4:07Speaker 03

  Oh, no.

• 4:08Speaker 01

  A lot of mid-grade weed, I believe.

• 4:11Speaker 03

That was a big part of it.

• 4:13H. Foley?

Can't get Bob Marley's greatest hits got me.

• 4:15Speaker 03

I saw Lil Wayne's crib episode of The Right Time in My Life.

• 4:17Speaker 01

Sure to hit you. Uh, also, I do wanna reg, I do wanna say you have. The first podcast episode we, me and Foley have ever recorded was a podcast we used to call the Center City Comedy Podcast. And John gave us our first positive piece of feedback we've ever received on that show. He texted me, he goes, "I love the show. What submarine did you record it?"

• 4:41Speaker 03

You guys have come a long way.

• 4:43Speaker 01

That was about 11 years ago.

• 4:45H. Foley?

Back to the dreads. Hold on a second. I can't let this slide.

• 4:47Speaker 01

  No, of course.

• 4:48H. Foley?

How lo- how did it, how long did it take you to build them up? Takes a while, right? And when did you decide, "I'm gonna be a white dude wearing dreads"? And nobody said anything to you?

• 4:58Speaker 01

I'm sure a lot of people did.

• 4:59Speaker 03

Yeah, a lot of people did. It was, I guess, senior year of high school. I was like, "I'm not even fucking around." I saw Lil Wayne with dreads for the first time.

• 5:08Speaker 01

That's a big swing from senior year of high school.

• 5:08H. Foley?

  I had some cornrows.

• 5:10Speaker 03

Well, I waited. I couldn't do it in school, so I had to wait till the summer. Had a Puerto Rican chick dread my, or like, partitioned my hair off and I ordered a kit on the internet.

• 5:17Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 5:18Speaker 03

That I put like beeswax in and then...

• 5:20H. Foley?

  Dreads for white dudes?

• 5:23Speaker 01

Comes with free patchouli oil or whatever?

• 5:26Speaker 03

And, uh, they were not great.

• 5:29H. Foley?

And you just don't wash your hair?

• 5:31Speaker 03

There was a special shampoo in the little kit that I bought.

• 5:36Speaker 03

They stunk physically, metaphorically, every way you can think of them stinking.

• 5:42H. Foley?

And how long did you keep them?

• 5:43Speaker 03

  I think three months.

• 5:44H. Foley?

And what did your parents say?

• 5:46Speaker 01

  "Get out."

• 5:47Speaker 03

Not much about it. They were pretty happy to see me looking like a skinhead when they got back from my little sister's basketball game one day.

• 5:54Speaker 01

Now, was this more like, uh, like hippie dreads or like you wanted to be Lil Wayne dread? Like, or is it a, but walked in both worlds a little bit?

• 6:03Speaker 03

I was still in my G-Unit era.

• 6:05Speaker 01

Shout, hey, I still am someone of you.

• 6:07H. Foley?

Were you writing any rap lyrics at the time?

• 6:09Speaker 03

I was freestyling a little bit. Don't know if I was writing anything down. Had to come off the dome, you know?

• 6:14Speaker 01

I was all off the dome, off the top, as they say in the streets.

• 6:17Speaker 03

You get drunk, you freestyle with your friends, you know?

• 6:20Speaker 01

Sure, I've been to those parties. Man, with you, Steve.

• 6:24Speaker 03

  I'm not hiding it.

• 6:25Speaker 01

  No, I respect it. Alright, let's, let's.

• 6:28H. Foley?

  Alright, yes.

• 6:29Speaker 01

We gotta get the backstory of how a guy decides to get dreads. Are you from Delaware?

• 6:34Speaker 03

  Yeah, Wilmington, Delaware.

• 6:35Speaker 01

  Wilmington, Delaware.

• 6:37H. Foley?

Okay, take us back to there. Wilmington, Delaware. Mom, dad?

• 6:41Speaker 03

  Yeah, grew up, mom, dad.

• 6:42H. Foley?

  Brothers, sisters?

• 6:43Speaker 03

  Older sister, younger sister.

• 6:44H. Foley?

  How far apart are they?

• 6:46Speaker 03

  Five years each.

• 6:46H. Foley?

  Five years each?

• 6:48Speaker 03

Yeah, so they're 10 years apart and they're like best friends.

• 6:50Speaker 01

  Really?

• 6:51Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm out of the mix.

• 6:53H. Foley?

And you guys grew up in a house?

• 6:54Speaker 03

Yeah, I guess you would call it a single family home on this program.

• 6:58Speaker 01

  Sure, we would.

• 6:59Speaker 03

I will say, it was a neighborhood of row homes.

• 7:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 7:03Speaker 03

Our house was in the middle of the block, not only connected on one side, and in between our house and the next house was a shared driveway.

• 7:14Speaker 01

  Okay, wait.

• 7:16H. Foley?

  One garage or no garage?

• 7:17Speaker 03

No garage, just led to the backyards.

• 7:19H. Foley?

  So...

• 7:20Speaker 03

It was basically like an alleyway. No one parked in there.

• 7:22Speaker 01

That's where people running from the cops. No garage.

• 7:25H. Foley?

  You ran down the alleyway!

• 7:28Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 7:28H. Foley?

  Not your shared driveway, buddy!

• 7:31Speaker 01

Get the hell out of my shared driveway!

• 7:33Speaker 03

Talking to the cops. I don't know, we have a shared driveway, not an alleyway.

• 7:36H. Foley?

So I don't know if that would necessarily count as a single family home.

• 7:38Speaker 01

That's not. So you were connected on one side?

• 7:41Speaker 03

So what, I don't, I don't understand what a single family home is then.

• 7:44H. Foley?

A freestanding building. Or a family who loves each other.

• 7:49Speaker 03

A townhouse doesn't qualify as a loving home.

• 7:51Speaker 01

No, no, you, not the ones I've stayed in. They were, they were not...

• 7:55H. Foley?

  Their sons don't have dreadlocks.

• 7:57Speaker 01

Wait, let's get the actual definition. Single family, see if you can get a single, what the, what the proper definition of a single family home, domicile. I believe it's standalone.

• 8:07H. Foley?

What did your mom do? What did your dad do?

• 8:09Speaker 03

My dad at, at one point, he owned an accessibility company. He sold...

• 8:14Speaker 01

  Okay, like, for like...

• 8:15Speaker 03

Wheelchair ramps, that kinda stuff, you know?

• 8:17H. Foley?

  At one point.

• 8:18Speaker 03

  Yeah, that wasn't a...

• 8:19Speaker 01

  That was a good week.

• 8:20Speaker 03

  That wasn't the whole time.

• 8:21H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 8:22Speaker 03

Um, and then he eventually, uh, sold life insurance, uh, after that.

• 8:27H. Foley?

  What happened to the business?

• 8:29Speaker 03

I think he grew to hate handicapped people after some time of working with them and then didn't want to be in that business.

• 8:34H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 8:35Speaker 01

What did he do before that, do you know?

• 8:37Speaker 03

Uh, before that, I think he worked at a hardware company.

• 8:41Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 8:42Speaker 03

Um, that I think was my grandfather's at some point.

• 8:47H. Foley?

A lot of it's some point.

• 8:49Speaker 03

Yeah. Yeah, a lot of it's murky, a lot of blurry memories.

• 8:52H. Foley?

Talking about rising and falling in America.

• 8:54Speaker 01

  Wilmington.

• 8:55H. Foley?

  What'd your mom do?

• 8:56Speaker 03

My mom worked for a lawyer, you know, a secretary, but

• 9:00H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 9:01Speaker 03

More of a legal assistant kind of thing, you know?

• 9:04Speaker 01

  Paralegal type person.

• 9:04Speaker 03

  I think secretary is downplaying.

• 9:06Speaker 01

Drafting documents and stuff like that, probably.

• 9:08Speaker 03

She's, you know, transcribing whatever the guy says in the tape recorder, all that stuff.

• 9:11H. Foley?

The whole time that you were growing up, that was her main thing?

• 9:14Speaker 03

Yeah, she was stay at home until maybe my sister was in kindergarten or something.

• 9:19H. Foley?

  Your younger sister?

• 9:20Speaker 03

Yeah, my little sister, and then, uh, I guess she started back full-time when I was like eight or 10 or something like that.

• 9:26H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 9:27Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 9:28H. Foley?

Would you say that the folks were doing well? Did your dad do good in the insurance game?

• 9:32Speaker 01

  He mentioned the shared driveway.

• 9:35H. Foley?

  I mean, that's just a house, though.

• 9:36Speaker 01

Sure, of course. What were the cars? That's a big indicator.

• 9:40H. Foley?

  And did you share those?

• 9:42Speaker 03

  They had a car each.

• 9:44Speaker 01

  Okay, that's pretty good.

• 9:45Speaker 03

  At some point.

• 9:45Speaker 01

  Two cars at some point.

• 9:48Speaker 03

Mom was always rocking a Buick.

• 9:50Speaker 01

Okay, well, okay. Shout out to a nice Buick, American car.

• 9:54Speaker 03

Pup-Pup worked for GM, so they had the GM discount, so it was always Buick and then...

• 9:58Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 9:59Speaker 03

And then my dad had a minivan at some point, a nice Town and Country, once we had three kids.

• 10:03Speaker 01

Dude, when the Town and Country's hit, that was a good vehicle.

• 10:07Speaker 03

Let me slap a big old Santa Cruz sticker on the back of it.

• 10:10Speaker 01

  Really?

• 10:10Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 10:11Speaker 01

On the back of the van?

• 10:12Speaker 03

  Uh-huh.

• 10:14Speaker 03

He was good to me when I was skateboarding, you know?

• 10:16Speaker 01

  That's, I respect that, that's a good dad.

• 10:18Speaker 03

  He was my cameraman.

• 10:19Speaker 01

  Really?

• 10:20Speaker 03

Oh yeah, he did my sponsoring me tape.

• 10:22Speaker 01

Your dad filmed your sponsor me tape.

• 10:24H. Foley?

  Hold on.

• 10:25Speaker 03

  Angles were shit.

• 10:25H. Foley?

We're getting way ahead of ourselves here.

• 10:27Speaker 01

  This is crazy.

• 10:28H. Foley?

Back this up. Do they still live in that house?

• 10:30Speaker 03

  Uh, no.

• 10:31H. Foley?

They moved. What was the name of the street that that was on?

• 10:33Speaker 03

  That street was Charles Place.

• 10:35Speaker 01

  Charles Place?

• 10:36Speaker 04

That sounds pretty nice. It sounds like a sitcom.

• 10:38Speaker 01

  Something from England or something.

• 10:40Speaker 03

Sounds nice, but the neighborhood was Cleland Heights.

• 10:43H. Foley?

  Cleland?

• 10:44Speaker 03

Cleland. That ain't a great sound.

• 10:47Speaker 01

  It's not good.

• 10:48Speaker 04

  Do you have the definite?

• 10:51Speaker 04

  Drop the V.

• 10:52Speaker 01

What, uh, do you have the definition of a single family home?

• 10:55Speaker 04

A single family home is a freestanding dwelling that is designed to be occupied by one household.

• 11:00Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 11:01Speaker 04

  It has its own land.

• 11:02Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 11:03Speaker 04

Like a kitchen and a driveway.

• 11:04Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 11:05Speaker 03

What a hard way to find out that I did not grow up in a single family.

• 11:08Speaker 01

Single family home, connected on both sides. And another family lived in there.

• 11:15H. Foley?

And a Quiznos on the roof. Okay. All right. And how close proximity did you live to your grandparents?

• 11:21Speaker 03

Grandparents, uh, were a two-minute walk away.

• 11:25H. Foley?

Two-minute walk away. So you're, so is that your mom's parents or your dad's parents?

• 11:29Speaker 03

Mom's parents lived right up the street.

• 11:30H. Foley?

Okay. So that's the neighborhood she grew up in?

• 11:33Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 11:33H. Foley?

Okay. And where was your dad? Was your dad from Delaware as well?

• 11:36Speaker 03

He was. I believe all of my grandparents were born in Delaware, which is kind of remarkable.

• 11:42H. Foley?

  And you're in Wilmington?

• 11:43Speaker 01

That's crazy. I don't, dude, that's insane. Everybody that I, everybody that I know that's ever lived in Delaware is like, moved there to get away from something.

• 11:50H. Foley?

Some type of tax break or something.

• 11:52Speaker 03

  Been trapped there.

• 11:53H. Foley?

Really? And you're in the city of Wilmington proper?

• 11:56Speaker 03

Uh, I'd say a thousand feet from the city line.

• 12:01Speaker 03

I spent some time on Google Maps, so I know exactly how far I was.

• 12:04Speaker 01

A thousand feet from the city line?

• 12:06Speaker 03

I walked home from school every day. Never walked to school.

• 12:09Speaker 01

  Why?

• 12:09H. Foley?

  Why?

• 12:10Speaker 03

  I was fucking running late.

• 12:11Speaker 01

Okay, so they would drive you?

• 12:13Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 12:14Speaker 01

Your parents would drive you or a bus? Parents would drive you?

• 12:16Speaker 03

  Parents would, yeah.

• 12:16Speaker 01

  Drop you on their way?

• 12:17Speaker 03

To get a bus five minutes would be insane.

• 12:19Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 12:20Speaker 03

I don't think that was an option. Uh, so the school was in the city.

• 12:24Speaker 01

So you were a proper walker?

• 12:25Speaker 03

Yeah. School was in the city, house was just outside of the city limits.

• 12:29H. Foley?

  Gotcha.

• 12:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 12:30Speaker 01

I don't think that's legal, is it? I think that's the whole thing about the city.

• 12:33Speaker 03

  Catholic school.

• 12:34Speaker 01

  Ah, okay, that makes sense.

• 12:37Speaker 03

  People were coming from everywhere.

• 12:38H. Foley?

Who sprung for that? Your parents paid for Catholic school for all three years?

• 12:41Speaker 03

Yeah, they both went to Catholic school.

• 12:43Speaker 01

I gotta say, the public school, I don't know, the public school system in Wilmington, Delaware, probably ain't great, right? I'm assuming, I don't know.

• 12:49Speaker 03

I think the district I was in specifically, probably not great.

• 12:52Speaker 01

Uh huh, but it's got some good.

• 12:53Speaker 03

I mean, public school still seems scary to me.

• 12:55Speaker 01

Dude, you drop me in any public school right now, I'd fucking...

• 12:59Speaker 03

Yeah, I'm getting my ass beat as an adult.

• 13:01Speaker 01

Sure, I'm gonna act like a cop.

• 13:03H. Foley?

He's over at Grover Cleveland High School?

• 13:06Speaker 01

That's pretty good. Uh, what were the vacations like?

• 13:09Speaker 03

We did Disney, a number of times.

• 13:12Speaker 01

  Really?

• 13:13Speaker 03

Yeah, that's probably why we were stuck in that shared driveway. We could've probably moved on up if we had cut Disney down to half.

• 13:20H. Foley?

  Who was the Disney fan?

• 13:22Speaker 03

  Um...

• 13:23H. Foley?

Was it like a parents thing?

• 13:24Speaker 01

  I have a guess, probably.

• 13:26Speaker 03

  Okay.

• 13:26Speaker 01

The fact that there's a 10-year gap in kids, it's like each, like, at some point they're like, "Well, we gotta take John now, and then we have to take Bethany, now that she's older and can enjoy it."

• 13:37Speaker 03

Yeah, but no, we were going like...

• 13:40Speaker 01

  Went for high school graduation.

• 13:42Speaker 03

We definitely all remember going at least five times.

• 13:45Speaker 01

  Really?

• 13:45H. Foley?

  Five times?

• 13:46Speaker 03

Even my little, dude, I probably have been to Disney World 10 or 12 times.

• 13:49Speaker 01

  What?

• 13:52Speaker 03

Not creative, I guess. We went to the beach, too, Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, those were our low-key...

• 13:58Speaker 01

Your low-key weekend getaways or whatever.

• 14:00H. Foley?

So, almost every summer, you went to Disney?

• 14:03Speaker 03

No, no, it's maybe every other, maybe every third summer.

• 14:07H. Foley?

And how long are you going? For a week?

• 14:11Speaker 03

  Maybe a week.

• 14:11H. Foley?

Is it just you, the immediate family, or would you take your grandparents, or your cousins, or anything like that?

• 14:15Speaker 03

At one point, my grandparents had a condo down there, a timeshare, maybe?

• 14:20Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 14:21Speaker 03

Oh, no, I haven't said that out loud yet. Garbage. Um, so at some point, the grandparents were there, my mom's parents, mostly it would be us, we would stay, they would do it nice, we'd stay at the Polynesian.

• 14:33H. Foley?

  So you'd stay on campus?

• 14:34Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 14:34H. Foley?

  As they call it.

• 14:35Speaker 03

  On the monorail.

• 14:36H. Foley?

  Really?

• 14:37Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 14:37H. Foley?

All right. That's an expensive trip.

• 14:40Speaker 01

  That ain't cheap.

• 14:41H. Foley?

You throw in Catholic school in that, plus all the stuff for the dreads.

• 14:46Speaker 01

  That Santa Cruz sticker?

• 14:47H. Foley?

  That Santa Cruz sticker?

• 14:48Speaker 01

You weren't driving down to Florida, right? You were flying.

• 14:50Speaker 03

No, we never did that. We always flew.

• 14:51Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 14:52H. Foley?

What was the first time you were on a plane? Do you remember?

• 14:54Speaker 03

First time I was on a plane was probably to go to Florida.

• 14:56Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 14:58Speaker 03

Maybe before kindergarten, but I remember doing it in kindergarten.

• 15:01H. Foley?

  No kidding?

• 15:02Speaker 03

Wow, this is... I never said this out loud either. One time, my dad took me to Disney World. Just me and him.

• 15:08Speaker 01

  What?

• 15:08Speaker 03

So he could buy a lottery ticket in Florida because the jackpot was so high.

• 15:13Speaker 01

That's a guy. That's a guy. Putting it all... Talk about laying it all on the line.

• 15:18H. Foley?

I think Plan B was selling you. That's crazy, dude.

• 15:22Speaker 01

That's nuts. To fly down for a lottery ticket?

• 15:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 15:26Speaker 01

  I... That's pretty good.

• 15:27H. Foley?

How come the other kids didn't go?

• 15:29Speaker 03

Uh, my mom was probably pregnant. I was in kindergarten, so you can miss Color Day or whatever, you know?

• 15:34Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 15:35Speaker 03

But... My older sister was probably in like, 5th grade, so she's not gonna get taken out of school.

• 15:40H. Foley?

  This was during school?

• 15:41Speaker 03

Yeah. Pretty cool little trip for little Johnny to go on.

• 15:45Speaker 01

Was it a short one, or did you do like a...

• 15:46Speaker 03

  I think like, 2 nights.

• 15:47Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 15:48Speaker 03

Go down, buy the ticket. Could've just been 1 night.

• 15:50H. Foley?

  Hit the park?

• 15:50Speaker 03

And then we went to Magic Kingdom for 1 day, yeah.

• 15:53Speaker 01

  That's nuts, dude. That's a level of...

• 15:56H. Foley?

  Did he win?

• 15:56Speaker 01

  That's a level of...

• 15:58Speaker 03

  He did not win.

• 16:00H. Foley?

  Fuck!

• 16:01Speaker 01

  That's a level of trash that's like...

• 16:02H. Foley?

  Let's go, we're leaving.

• 16:04Speaker 01

It kinda makes sense, though. I mean, we used to do it, obviously, like, for out... Living in... Outside of Philadelphia, we would do it. You'd go to Jersey, if there was a big jackpot or whatever, you'd buy your tickets.

• 16:14H. Foley?

  Jersey, Florida?

• 16:15Speaker 03

Take your kid out of school to take him to Jersey for the afternoon.

• 16:17Speaker 01

Let's go, we're going to Trenton.

• 16:18H. Foley?

How does he even hear about that? Like, on the news, they're probably talking about it, and the jackpot in Florida?

• 16:23Speaker 01

  Yeah, of course.

• 16:24Speaker 03

Cause like, I guess like, the Mega Millions and Powerball were specific states back then, you know what I mean?

• 16:28Speaker 01

Yeah, but I would have to argue, you could've... So, the Mega Millions and the Powerball...

• 16:33H. Foley?

Why didn't he have his grandparents buy him a ticket down there?

• 16:36Speaker 03

That fucking condo folded years before that, probably.

• 16:40Speaker 01

He's trying to get the condo back.

• 16:42Speaker 03

It wasn't the time of the timeshare, alright?

• 16:44Speaker 01

  Uh...

• 16:45Speaker 03

  Wrong time of year.

• 16:45Speaker 01

But, uh... But those Powerball and those Mega Millions, they were like, 13 or 11 different states all combined. I'm sure he could've gotten a Mega Millions ticket closer, or whatever it was.

• 16:56Speaker 03

He probably could've like, driven to Virginia, but he was like, "Ah, it's in Florida, we can take..."

• 17:01Speaker 01

  2 birds, 1 stone.

• 17:02Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 17:02H. Foley?

How'd he pitch that to your mom?

• 17:04Speaker 03

  I don't know.

• 17:05Speaker 01

"I'm gonna come back with $400 million." That's how he pitched it.

• 17:08Speaker 03

  And some Mickey ears.

• 17:10Speaker 01

If you play your cards right.

• 17:12H. Foley?

Let me tell you about PrettyLitter.

• 20:19H. Foley?

So multiple trips to Disney World.

• 20:21Speaker 01

  Mm-hmm.

• 20:22H. Foley?

  All right.

• 20:23Speaker 01

Have you gone as an adult?

• 20:24Speaker 03

I did. I went with, uh, with Mike Rainey and Jake Matera.

• 20:29Speaker 01

Right. That makes sense. Rainey's a Disney adult.

• 20:32Speaker 03

He was a Disney adult. We were in Florida for a, for a little stinkers trip.

• 20:35Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 20:35Speaker 03

And a fan of ours hooked it up with free tickets, so.

• 20:39H. Foley?

  There you go.

• 20:39Speaker 03

Got to spend a free day in Epcot and the MGM Studios or whatever it is now.

• 20:44Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 20:45Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 20:45Speaker 01

  That's pretty good.

• 20:46Speaker 03

I did not drink enough in Epcot. I really regret.

• 20:49Speaker 01

  Ah, we got blocked out.

• 20:50Speaker 03

  Not doing around the world.

• 20:51Speaker 01

We blocked out in two hours, dude.

• 20:53Speaker 03

  Yeah, I should have.

• 20:54Speaker 01

It was like 12 beers in 90 minutes.

• 20:56H. Foley?

They do it right down there. They really do it right. What was the grocery store that your mom went to growing up?

• 21:02Speaker 03

Uh, we had ShopRite, Acme, and also Zingos.

• 21:06Speaker 01

  Zingos?

• 21:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 21:08Speaker 01

Was that a single, like, there was one Zingos?

• 21:11Speaker 03

There was, there was two. Uh, the one we went to was not in the nicer area.

• 21:16Speaker 01

Zingos? Zingos supermarket and convenience store.

• 21:19Speaker 03

Is it still kicking on Maryland Avenue?

• 21:21Speaker 01

Uh, no, this one's on, this is on Polydrum and, and Polydrum and Shopping Center.

• 21:27Speaker 03

  That's the nice one.

• 21:29Speaker 01

  Whoa. 4.3 stars.

• 21:31H. Foley?

Sounds like a killer clown's name.

• 21:33Speaker 01

Don't close your eyes, Zingo's gonna get you.

• 21:37Speaker 01

Wow, huh. They got private brands?

• 21:42H. Foley?

  What does that mean?

• 21:43Speaker 01

I don't know. Shit you ain't never heard of.

• 21:46Speaker 03

Is this their website? They have a website?

• 21:47Speaker 01

Yeah, they still got a red box? What's a private brand?

• 21:52Speaker 03

Damn, they sell a red box. Is it outside or inside?

• 21:54H. Foley?

  Fruity Loops.

• 21:54Speaker 01

  No, Fruity Hoops.

• 21:55H. Foley?

  Fruity Hoops.

• 21:56Speaker 01

Dude, the mac and cheese is called Shells and Cheese?

• 22:01Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 22:02Speaker 03

Hey, that's a central brand. That's not just Zingos.

• 22:05Speaker 01

  They're all that is.

• 22:06Speaker 03

  That's it. Migos, Pingos.

• 22:08Speaker 01

  Essential every day. Alright.

• 22:10H. Foley?

Who babysat you as a kid? Your older sister?

• 22:13Speaker 03

  Grandparents.

• 22:13H. Foley?

  Your grandparents would.

• 22:14Speaker 03

Well, my mom was working and I was still in grade school. We would go to my grandparents after school. I guess she was working Tuesdays. Tuesdays we would go to Mom, Mom and Pop Ups.

• 22:22H. Foley?

That's probably not a bad gig. Go over there. Grandma put something out for you, that's a little snack?

• 22:26Speaker 03

They got, uh, Tostinos, they got Hot Pockets, they got, uh, Tombstones, ice cream sandwiches. Caffeine-free Pepsi. Get lost.

• 22:39Speaker 01

Was that the, was that the... Gold can?

• 22:43Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 22:44Speaker 01

  Aw, man, those hit different.

• 22:46H. Foley?

It was alright. You could tell there was no caffeine in there.

• 22:48Speaker 03

  Yeah, something was different, but...

• 22:49H. Foley?

  Guilt-free.

• 22:50Speaker 01

Dude, grandparents in the 90s loved that shit.

• 22:53Speaker 03

  Why?

• 22:54Speaker 01

If my grandfather was coming over, you had to have a 12-pack of that for him.

• 22:57Speaker 03

They were still drinking coffee. Like, what's the point of having the caffeine?

• 23:00H. Foley?

Caffeine-free Pepsi. Diet caffeine-free Pepsi soda, whatever.

• 23:07H. Foley?

Diet root beer was huge with them. And I remember diet chocolate soda being a big thing with grandparents for a while.

• 23:13Speaker 01

I don't think I've ever seen chocolate soda.

• 23:15Speaker 03

  No, that's not real.

• 23:16H. Foley?

  Strange. Strange taste.

• 23:18Speaker 01

Maybe you were dreaming. Uh, huh. Alright, what was the high school mascot?

• 23:24Speaker 03

  Viking.

• 23:25Speaker 01

  Pretty good.

• 23:26H. Foley?

  Any sports to speak of?

• 23:28Speaker 03

Yeah, played, uh, football and wrestling.

• 23:32Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 23:33Speaker 03

And baseball. Baseball my whole life. Football started in 4th grade.

• 23:37H. Foley?

  Pretty good.

• 23:38Speaker 03

4th grade, B-team QB right here.

• 23:40Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 23:41Speaker 03

First day of practice. Didn't even know it was the day that practice was starting. We were coming home from the beach, and I saw everybody at the football field at the park by my house, and I was like, "I think I'm supposed to be at football practice." Ran over there with my chain wallet and cargo shorts. Big skateboarder already at the time.

• 23:55Speaker 01

Cause back then, I don't know if it does now, skateboarders in sports did not mix.

• 24:00Speaker 03

  No.

• 24:01Speaker 01

It was like one guy in each school who walked in both worlds.

• 24:03Speaker 03

All my friends skateboarded, but they also all played.

• 24:06Speaker 01

  Really?

• 24:06Speaker 03

All the sports, yeah. And, uh, and the first day of practice, the guy, one of the coaches was like, "Who's left-handed?" And I was like, "Me," and he was like, "You're the quarterback." Still have no idea what logic that is. It's not baseball. It's not like I'm throwing to right-handers, you know? I don't think I threw a single fucking pass that season.

• 24:21H. Foley?

  Who's the southpaw?

• 24:22Speaker 03

  Lot of QB sneaks.

• 24:24Speaker 01

  Lot of toe spooks.

• 24:25Speaker 03

I found my way into the zone.

• 24:27H. Foley?

And did you do this in high school? Were you playing sports in high school?

• 24:29Speaker 03

I think I quit a sport every year in high school.

• 24:31H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 24:32Speaker 03

Football, freshman year, quit after that.

• 24:34H. Foley?

  Got ya.

• 24:35Speaker 03

Played basketball, freshman, sophomore. Don't think I scored a single point, quit after that. And then I played baseball till senior year, and then I quit mid-season after the coach put in a 5 footer over me at first base. And I was like, "He might be making contact with the ball, but DH for him. Come on. Let me play the field."

• 24:53Speaker 01

He might be making contact with the... Listen, you can't take that away from him. Guy's hitting .333, but...

• 24:59H. Foley?

  We're skateboarding this whole time?

• 25:01Speaker 03

Skateboarding from, uh, 3rd or 4th grade till 7th or 8th grade, whenever we'd started.

• 25:06Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 25:06H. Foley?

And then you were done with the skateboarding?

• 25:09Speaker 03

I picked it back up in high school and college a little bit, but was not skateboarding every day.

• 25:12H. Foley?

When was your dad filming your promo tapes?

• 25:14Speaker 03

  I was probably like 10.

• 25:16Speaker 01

You were trying to get a sponsor... You were doing a sponsorship tape at 10 years old?

• 25:18Speaker 03

Some company was doing like, uh, an open call.

• 25:21Speaker 01

Sure. Like a local skate shop?

• 25:23Speaker 03

No, I was, I think it was like somebody that you'd see in a, uh, CCS magazine.

• 25:27Speaker 01

  Gotcha.

• 25:28H. Foley?

And did you have some skills? Could you do tricks?

• 25:30Speaker 03

Yeah, I mean, I was like, I think my big thing was I dropped down a pretty big ledge, just ollied off of it, you know? I don't even think I ollied.

• 25:36Speaker 01

  Yeah, rode off it.

• 25:37Speaker 03

Little bit of a kickflip up a curb, heel flip down a curb.

• 25:40Speaker 01

  Got serious.

• 25:41Speaker 03

Ollied a 5 set. Not a bad day.

• 25:44Speaker 01

I mean, for what, you're 10 years old?

• 25:45Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 25:45Speaker 01

  That's... For a 10-year-old.

• 25:47H. Foley?

  That's good?

• 25:47Speaker 01

  That's, yeah.

• 25:48Speaker 03

Not bad. Uh, got some free stickers out of the, uh...

• 25:51Speaker 01

  Out of the deal?

• 25:51Speaker 03

Yeah. So not a total L.

• 25:54Speaker 01

Your dad probably bought them and sent them to you, if we're being honest.

• 25:59H. Foley?

How was mom in the kitchen?

• 26:01Speaker 03

Pretty good, pretty good. She still makes some staples to this day that uh

• 26:04Speaker 01

  Hit me.

• 26:05Speaker 03

Gulash, which is not your typical Hungarian.

• 26:08Speaker 01

  Lava goulash.

• 26:08H. Foley?

  Sure.

• 26:09Speaker 03

This is just ground meat, some kind of red sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.

• 26:14Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 26:14Speaker 03

Put that in the oven, let the cheese get a little brown, melted.

• 26:18H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 26:19Speaker 03

And I can't get enough of that.

• 26:20Speaker 01

  I don't know if that's a goulash.

• 26:20H. Foley?

Were you putting it on rag noodles?

• 26:22Speaker 03

  No, ma- uh elbow macaroni.

• 26:24H. Foley?

Was that in the pan with it?

• 26:26Speaker 03

Elbow macaroni down first, then the ground beef, then the sauce, and then the cheese on top.

• 26:30H. Foley?

  That's not a casserole.

• 26:31Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 26:31H. Foley?

  That's fucking, that's hamburger.

• 26:35Speaker 01

But listen, if you're, if you're in fucking Delaware and you ain't never seen nothing like that and someone says that's goulash, you run with it.

• 26:41H. Foley?

I might as well be fried rice down there.

• 26:46H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 26:47Speaker 03

Uh, then we had, you know, your classic, uh, hot dog casseroles. Shit that has not seen the light of day since we moved out of that house.

• 26:54H. Foley?

And would you just eat together as a family every night?

• 26:57Speaker 03

Yeah, maybe not every night, but uh, it was a big, can't go out till after dinner.

• 27:02H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 27:03Speaker 03

Or be home for dinner. Nobody, uh, answers the phone during dinner.

• 27:07H. Foley?

  Would it be ringing?

• 27:08Speaker 03

I mean, if it was like a telemarketer, you'd just say, we're eating.

• 27:11Speaker 01

  Skateboarding companies are going.

• 27:12Speaker 03

You know, or if somebody's calling for me, uh, we're eating, you know, he'll call you back later.

• 27:16H. Foley?

  Oh, really?

• 27:17Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 27:17Speaker 01

  John Brandon called, yeah.

• 27:19Speaker 03

Yeah, he can come out after dinner.

• 27:21Speaker 01

  Religious family at all?

• 27:22Speaker 03

Had to go to church every week, but I would not say.

• 27:25H. Foley?

  Catholic.

• 27:26Speaker 03

  Religious, yeah, yeah.

• 27:27H. Foley?

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 27:27Speaker 03

Which is probably the reason I am not religious. Having to wake up every single fucking Sunday. That was the bane of my existence, man.

• 27:34Speaker 01

Trying to hit this rail down here.

• 27:35H. Foley?

Would there be a, um, would there be a system, like when we would do that when I was a kid, it would be, get up, go to church, come home, dad would make a nice breakfast?

• 27:44Speaker 03

Uh, at some point we were doing church and then we were hitting, uh, either the Sheraton or the Marriott for brunch.

• 27:51Speaker 01

Wait, you're going to a hotel for brunch?

• 27:53Speaker 03

We would do a nice brunch buffet at a, uh.

• 27:54Speaker 01

  What?

• 27:55Speaker 03

Yeah. That was a, maybe a special occasion.

• 27:59H. Foley?

  We're staying in room 902.

• 28:00Speaker 01

  I've never heard of that.

• 28:03H. Foley?

  That's crazy.

• 28:04Speaker 03

We weren't stealing continental breakfast. We had to pay. It was fifteen bucks a head, at least.

• 28:09H. Foley?

Going to the Sheraton with your family.

• 28:12Speaker 03

I think it was the Sheraton.

• 28:13H. Foley?

  Whoa, that is next level.

• 28:16Speaker 03

Everybody was dressed up. It was like, uh, it was Easter Sunday every weekend.

• 28:19H. Foley?

Yeah, they were on business trips.

• 28:20Speaker 01

It was Easter Sunday. They were, they were, they all just had a wedding the night before, dude.

• 28:26H. Foley?

  Holy shit.

• 28:28Speaker 01

Wow, that's a first. Hey, Kai, I gotta give it to you, it kinda makes sense a little bit. You're like, hey, they, they throw out a good breakfast, they're good at doing breakfast. I just never heard anybody just go into like...

• 28:39Speaker 03

  A hotel.

• 28:40Speaker 01

  I mean, like, like a...

• 28:40H. Foley?

  With children.

• 28:41Speaker 01

Like a fancy hotel that has a nice restaurant in it.

• 28:43H. Foley?

  That's not a fancy hotel.

• 28:44Speaker 01

I'm saying, I get that. Like, we're going to the, the fucking whatever to go, you know. And not that, you're not hitting a Hilton for the, for the generic, uh, breakfast, I feel.

• 28:54Speaker 03

They had a fucking nice bread, man.

• 28:58Speaker 01

You probably do. I love a kind, how, you like a, you like a nice continental breakfast?

• 29:01Speaker 03

  Oh, yeah.

• 29:01Speaker 01

  Man, it's the best.

• 29:02Speaker 03

Yeah, and sometimes I'll even set my alarm for it.

• 29:05Speaker 01

Oh, yeah, like if you're on the road.

• 29:07H. Foley?

  If you're at a hotel.

• 29:07Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 29:08Speaker 01

  No, I don't miss it.

• 29:09Speaker 03

Really? You'll, and then you'll go back to bed?

• 29:11Speaker 01

We have, uh, when we're on the road, we have a system. We have a group chat for everybody who's on the road together. It's about, usually about five of us. Then, we meet, that won't get text. Me and Foley wake up about the same time every day, give or take an hour.

• 29:22H. Foley?

  Nervous kids.

• 29:24Speaker 01

We are in the same bed. Uh, and we'll fire a private text to each other. I'm, I'm gonna hit Brecky.

• 29:31Speaker 03

  Uh-huh.

• 29:32Speaker 01

See you down there in ten, or whatever.

• 29:33Speaker 03

  Gotcha.

• 29:34Speaker 01

Me and him have breakfast, catch a heater, go down, shut it back down.

• 29:37H. Foley?

Slide back into the sheets for a little while.

• 29:39Speaker 03

I usually can't, uh, put my face on in time to make last call for continental breakfast.

• 29:44Speaker 01

I don't miss it. I got, if I'm in Colum- Columbus, I ain't got nothing better else to do than hit that fucking breakfast.

• 29:49Speaker 03

  I'm getting late checkout. I'm...

• 29:51Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 29:52Speaker 03

I can sleep till eleven thirty and still make it out of there by noon.

• 29:54Speaker 01

You do have very still, like, teenager energy in the sense of like, you're like, I could, I could just rock till noon.

• 30:02Speaker 03

Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I think that's because I went to church every Sunday. I still wake up at one PM.

• 30:07Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 30:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 30:08Speaker 01

  I love it.

• 30:09Speaker 03

  I'm catching up.

• 30:10Speaker 01

  Johnny D, baby.

• 30:11H. Foley?

Could you eat in your room as a kid? Were you allowed to eat up there?

• 30:15Speaker 03

  I don't know if I ever even tried, like. It wasn't, I didn't have a, I didn't have a TV in there, so if I'm.

• 30:22Speaker 01

Oh, that dude knows he's just eating in your room, no TV.

• 30:24Speaker 03

What the fuck am I gonna do?

• 30:25Speaker 01

  It's crazy.

• 30:26Speaker 03

Look at my incubus poster and eat a fucking Hot Pocket?

• 30:29H. Foley?

I didn't think you didn't have a TV. Where was the gaming system?

• 30:32Speaker 03

Uh, living room was whatever was the newest thing, and then the basement had the, uh, the Sega.

• 30:38Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 30:38H. Foley?

Would they keep up with the, with the times with that?

• 30:41Speaker 03

We had Nintendo, and then Sega, and then Playstation original was the last one that the family bought.

• 30:46H. Foley?

Was that a big Christmas present?

• 30:48Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was like.

• 30:49H. Foley?

Was that yours or the everybody's?

• 30:51Speaker 03

Families. It was separated from the rest of the piles, like, oh, Santa brought something for everybody.

• 30:55Speaker 01

Dad was a big Crash Bandicoot fan.

• 30:58Speaker 03

  Spyro.

• 31:00H. Foley?

Okay. What was the first concert? I think it's gonna start getting sticky in here.

• 31:08Speaker 03

First concert might have been, I got brought to New Kids on the Block.

• 31:13Speaker 01

  Alright.

• 31:14H. Foley?

  Whoa!

• 31:14Speaker 03

  Older sister was going.

• 31:16Speaker 01

But your older sister was going?

• 31:16H. Foley?

  That's pretty good.

• 31:17Speaker 01

  That's a great one.

• 31:18Speaker 03

First by myself with like my friends. Maybe, uh, it was either Oasis or Bush.

• 31:24Speaker 01

  Whoa!

• 31:25H. Foley?

  Really?

• 31:25Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 31:26H. Foley?

Get the fuck out of here. You're all wrong. I apologize for everything I said up until now. You saw Oasis.

• 31:32Speaker 03

  Uh huh.

• 31:32H. Foley?

What year would this have been?

• 31:34Speaker 03

  I would say ninety-six or ninety-seven.

• 31:37H. Foley?

Get the fuck out of here.

• 31:38Speaker 03

We might have been twelve years old.

• 31:40H. Foley?

  In their prime.

• 31:40Speaker 01

  That's amazing.

• 31:41H. Foley?

Where are they playing in Delaware? Did you go up to Philly?

• 31:43Speaker 03

Up to Philly, I think it was in, uh.

• 31:45Speaker 01

Played the Starberg down there in Rehoboth or Dooey's.

• 31:47Speaker 03

I think it was the, uh, the Tweeter Center, but it was closed, like, um, the outside was closed.

• 31:52Speaker 01

  Right.

• 31:53Speaker 03

So it was just the inside, which is probably only like five or ten thousand on the inside.

• 31:56Speaker 01

It's probably not even that big, yeah.

• 31:57Speaker 03

Seems small for Oasis back then.

• 31:59H. Foley?

That must have been fucking ripping.

• 32:01Speaker 03

  Yeah, it was sick.

• 32:02H. Foley?

  Wow, that's pretty good.

• 32:04Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 32:04Speaker 01

  That's really good, actually.

• 32:05Speaker 03

  Thank you.

• 32:06Speaker 01

  Hmm.

• 32:07H. Foley?

Fucking turn it around like that.

• 32:10Speaker 01

Ice Cube chants in hell you got right here. What was the first job?

• 32:14Speaker 03

First job was, uh, I think I was a parcel delivery guy, like a runner, like a courier.

• 32:24Speaker 01

  Who says that?

• 32:25Speaker 03

  In Wilmington.

• 32:25Speaker 01

You just said five different words and you could've just said that.

• 32:27Speaker 03

  A bicycle messenger.

• 32:28Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 32:29H. Foley?

  What?

• 32:30Speaker 03

I don't know if that was my first job, though. Um, either that or a golf course.

• 32:35H. Foley?

  For that first. Bike messenger.

• 32:37Speaker 03

I think bike messenger in high school was my first, uh...

• 32:41Speaker 01

And then you hit a golf course.

• 32:42Speaker 03

  And then, yeah.

• 32:43Speaker 01

Where were you, what were you doing there?

• 32:44H. Foley?

Where were you bike mess- how, where were you bike messaging, like in Wilmington?

• 32:47Speaker 03

Downtown Wilmington, all the legal documents that go around.

• 32:50Speaker 01

  Every corporation's based there.

• 32:52Speaker 03

File this in Chancery Court, go, uh, pick this up at 222 Delaware Ave, bring it down to the courthouse.

• 32:59H. Foley?

  Uh, 10-speed?

• 33:00Speaker 03

Um, I was mostly on foot.

• 33:04Speaker 01

  He's big pedaling.

• 33:05Speaker 03

Due to the fact that they wouldn't let me ride with the training wheels.

• 33:10Speaker 01

  I was seven.

• 33:11Speaker 03

But I think they were 10-speeds, yeah.

• 33:12H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 33:12Speaker 03

They just had a bunch of bikes in the window of this place, so if you were going way uptown, 10 blocks, you'd go grab a bike on your way out the door.

• 33:20Speaker 01

Oh, so it was like you went back to home base and then moved to...

• 33:24Speaker 03

  Between every delivery, yeah.

• 33:25Speaker 01

Were you? That's, that's a pretty good gig.

• 33:27H. Foley?

I thought you had to have your own bike for something like that.

• 33:29Speaker 03

No, I think, uh, independent couriers will have their own thing and just be, uh...

• 33:33Speaker 01

They worked for big, it was a big carrier, big carrier industry.

• 33:36Speaker 03

Man, the messenger wars of downtown Wilmington, you wouldn't believe what was going on in the mid 2000s.

• 33:41H. Foley?

  Are you being serious?

• 33:42Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, like people getting fired from companies, starting their own companies, at some point there was like four different courier companies, you don't need that many in a town that small, like...

• 33:50H. Foley?

And you were caught up in the middle of it, huh? Like Henry Hill.

• 33:54Speaker 03

  Catching strays.

• 33:56H. Foley?

There I am, delivering packages on foot. Okay.

• 34:00Speaker 01

What was the first, your first car?

• 34:02Speaker 03

My first car was a hand-me-down from my grandparents, it was a Grand Am.

• 34:06H. Foley?

  Sweet.

• 34:07Speaker 01

  Nice. What color, what year?

• 34:09Speaker 03

  Gold colorish.

• 34:09Speaker 01

  I know that gold color.

• 34:10H. Foley?

  Oh shit.

• 34:11Speaker 03

  Roll windows still.

• 34:13H. Foley?

Good condition when you got it?

• 34:15Speaker 03

  Oh, grand, good condition.

• 34:16Speaker 01

What are we talking, like, mid 90s?

• 34:17Speaker 03

  Probably, maybe like a 99, 2001, possibly.

• 34:21Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 34:22H. Foley?

  That's not bad.

• 34:23Speaker 03

I didn't get my hands on it until...

• 34:26Speaker 03

  Until college.

• 34:27Speaker 01

  Sure, no, until college.

• 34:29Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 34:29H. Foley?

I thought you got it then, what the fuck?

• 34:32Speaker 03

  I didn't, I didn't have the wheels until college.

• 34:34Speaker 01

Was it this body style or that body style? The old or the new?

• 34:38Speaker 01

  Or none of those.

• 34:39H. Foley?

  That's trash.

• 34:40Speaker 03

Ah, I don't know if it's either of those.

• 34:42H. Foley?

Was it in good shape when you got it?

• 34:44Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 34:45Speaker 01

  That's all that matters.

• 34:45H. Foley?

How many miles were it? Do you remember when you got it?

• 34:48Speaker 03

Nah, nah, probably less than 50,000.

• 34:50H. Foley?

Really? Is that, now is that a hand-me-down straight, or was there some money exchanged?

• 34:55Speaker 03

I think, as far as I know, my mom could have given my grandparents a couple bucks for it, and then just given it to me. But I think she was just tired of picking me up in fucking school for Sunday dinner, you know?

• 35:04H. Foley?

And now you said nobody parked in the shared driveway, so you're parking on the street?

• 35:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 35:08H. Foley?

Was there tickets? Was there alternate side parking or anything like that?

• 35:10Speaker 03

Nah, nah, nah, just regular suburb, I mean, that aspect of this neighborhood was suburban, I guess, you know what I mean?

• 35:17H. Foley?

  Alright.

• 35:17Speaker 01

But, uh, I assume there had to be some sort of hacky-sack phase?

• 35:23Speaker 03

  What makes you say that?

• 35:25H. Foley?

Let's get into that. Let's get into the many personalities of John Doe.

• 35:29Speaker 01

  Yes.

• 35:30Speaker 03

Sure, I mean, we're on the boardwalk, we're getting our devil sticks, our hacky-sack on.

• 35:35Speaker 01

Devil stick, man, that's why, that's always one of my best friends.

• 35:38H. Foley?

  What age is that?

• 35:40Speaker 03

  That's probably a skateboarding era.

• 35:41H. Foley?

  So, fourth, fifth, whatever, grade?

• 35:43Speaker 03

Eight, nine, 10, 11 years old.

• 35:45H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 35:46Speaker 03

I could do it all. You ever skateboard and do devil sticks?

• 35:50H. Foley?

  Still doing the chain wallet?

• 35:52Speaker 03

That was pretty short-lived. I think that was probably only a-

• 35:54H. Foley?

  Kept tripping over himself?

• 35:56Speaker 03

Two-year phase, maybe, but there's a good chance I was doing devil sticks on the Rehoboth boardwalk with a chain wallet.

• 36:01Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 36:02H. Foley?

  Okay, any overalls?

• 36:04Speaker 03

  I don't think so.

• 36:05H. Foley?

Never overalls? What was the pants? Were you wearing like the big, big puffy pants?

• 36:09Speaker 03

I didn't wear the Jencos, no.

• 36:10Speaker 01

Not Jencos, there was another, UFOs or something was a big, was a big-

• 36:14Speaker 03

  Uh-huh.

• 36:14Speaker 01

Like, there were big cargos, they were like real baggy cargos, they were like breakdancer. There was, there was a store called Mr. Rags we used to go to, man, it was like a breakdancer clothing store, we were losers.

• 36:28Speaker 03

  Mr. Rags.

• 36:29H. Foley?

Any sneakers with no laces in them?

• 36:32Speaker 03

Uh, like you mean, I took them out and-

• 36:33H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 36:34Speaker 03

  I don't think so.

• 36:35Speaker 01

Was there like a thug phase?

• 36:37Speaker 03

  Yes.

• 36:37Speaker 01

Where you were like, you were trying to be a gangster?

• 36:39Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 36:40Speaker 01

  What did that entail?

• 36:41Speaker 03

Oh dude, everything, man. Johnny Blaze, woo wear, Pelly Pal, PNB.

• 36:48Speaker 01

  Whoa!

• 36:48Speaker 03

  Bro.

• 36:49Speaker 01

Talk about a blast, dude, there's a specific, you're a little older for this, there's a specific kind of dirtbag that will wear a Johnny Blaze hoodie. That kid, I mean, the fact that your parents were together is crazy.

• 37:01Speaker 03

Yeah. Yeah, I don't look back on it fondly, but uh, that's probably what started the...

• 37:06Speaker 01

  Pele, pele.

• 37:07H. Foley?

Are you selling any bags at the time?

• 37:08Speaker 01

  Woo wear? Any woo wear?

• 37:10Speaker 03

  Woo wear, mhm, yeah.

• 37:12H. Foley?

  Are you moving any weight?

• 37:13Speaker 03

  Not till high school.

• 37:15H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 37:16Speaker 03

And uh, by that point, I was probably shopping at uh, Abercrombie.

• 37:20H. Foley?

  Okay, let's talk Tushy.

• 37:21Speaker 01

  Let's talk clean bee holes.

• 37:23H. Foley?

Yeah, look a nice clean butthole, don't you?

• 37:26Speaker 01

Something you can eat off of.

Woo, and you feel fresh back there. How you don't feel fresh is using toilet paper like you're in the goddamn 1800s.

• 37:34Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 37:52H. Foley?

  It's what animals do.

• 37:54Speaker 01

  Primates.

• 37:55H. Foley?

  Primates.

• 37:55Speaker 01

  Reptiles.

• 37:56H. Foley?

  Neanderthals.

• 37:57Speaker 01

No, reptiles probably got clean bee holes because they're in and out of the water, they're sprucing you up a little bit.

• 38:02H. Foley?

  The original Tushy.

That thing don't fit anymore. Neither does the motorcycle.

• 41:32Speaker 01

You were super thin, good looking, good head of hair. Like, he was like, I was like, this guy is fucking, this guy's a movie star.

• 41:39Speaker 03

So funny you say that. This is the year I turn it all around, so be prepared for me to get back to that look.

• 41:44H. Foley?

And how long were you in LA for? Was that, was that the last time we saw you? Or did you come back?

• 41:48Speaker 03

I came back and did, uh, I'm not there anymore, so. I was there for like a year and a half, maybe, and then came back 2013, 2012, something like that.

• 41:58H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 41:59Speaker 03

Yeah, and then you guys were probably.

• 42:06Speaker 01

  But like, that was.

• 42:06H. Foley?

  250. See you around, losers.

• 42:09Speaker 01

  Suck my dick, nerds.

• 42:11Speaker 03

Ran out of gas money by Texas.

• 42:15Speaker 01

  Made it to Pittsburgh?

• 42:16H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 42:17Speaker 01

Oh, man. Alright, so, what the, so that was, uh, high school was the Johnny Blaze phase?

• 42:25Speaker 03

Seventh and eighth grade, big time.

• 42:27Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 42:27Speaker 03

  Thug phase.

• 42:28Speaker 01

Then Abercrombie in high school, you said, when you started moving units?

• 42:31Speaker 03

Yeah, uh, before the units, I, I started shopping at Abercrombie, still buying things three times too big.

• 42:38Speaker 01

  Uh-huh.

• 42:38Speaker 03

For me, you know, I'd filter my way into it.

• 42:41Speaker 01

  Yeah, yeah, yeah.

• 42:42Speaker 03

Um, I know, all those pants fit again.

• 42:45H. Foley?

  You still have those clothes?

• 42:46Speaker 03

  No.

• 42:48Speaker 01

  Everything's going up, Johnny.

• 42:49Speaker 03

I don't know, I don't throw much out. It's probably in my mom's basement. But yeah, thug phase was, uh.

• 42:55H. Foley?

What kind of weight were we moving? Twenty bags?

• 42:58Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 42:59H. Foley?

Selling some twenties, smoking some shit.

• 43:01Speaker 03

Grams in, uh, in college. Nobody was buying fucking eights. Nobody had sixty dollars.

• 43:06Speaker 01

  Where'd you go to college?

• 43:07Speaker 03

  University of Delaware.

• 43:09H. Foley?

  You of thee.

• 43:10Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 43:10H. Foley?

  How you doing?

• 43:11Speaker 01

  Fighting blue cock.

• 43:13Speaker 03

Whoa, brother, watch your mouth. Blue hands.

• 43:15Speaker 01

  The blue hands.

• 43:16Speaker 03

  There's a, it's a lady, alright?

• 43:18Speaker 01

  I'm sorry. Fuck, I wasn't that far.

• 43:20H. Foley?

Hey, what you and your buddies did in your dorm room is.

• 43:24Speaker 01

Fighting red stingers, that's what he did.

• 43:27Speaker 03

  Blue hands and red gauze.

• 43:28Speaker 01

  And you live on campus?

• 43:29Speaker 03

  Mm-hmm.

• 43:30Speaker 01

How far is that from your house?

• 43:32Speaker 03

  Twenty minute drive.

• 43:35Speaker 01

  I did the same thing.

• 43:36Speaker 03

  Yeah, yeah.

• 43:36H. Foley?

Run home Sunday for dinner if you wanted to, do a little laundry?

• 43:39Speaker 03

  Laundry, yeah.

• 43:40Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 43:41Speaker 03

Yeah, and I think that was a big part of my mom giving me the car at some point. Cause she, they had to come pick me up.

• 43:47H. Foley?

  Ah, get back and forth.

• 43:48Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like just fucking, I'm not doing this, I'm not doing this three days a week.

• 43:51Speaker 03

Yeah, and then 10pm on a Sunday, they have to fucking drive to Newark, Delaware. Not far, but.

• 43:55H. Foley?

What was the pet situation growing up?

• 43:58Speaker 03

No, uh, no pets outside of a, a fishbowl or a hermit crab cage, you know?

• 44:05Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 44:07Speaker 01

Was there a lot of those? Or just like, you, every couple of years?

• 44:11Speaker 03

Fish at the carnival, uh, got the hermit crab at the beach one year, and then that thing.

• 44:15H. Foley?

Fish tank with the, with the filter or just a bowl?

• 44:18Speaker 03

  Just a bowl.

• 44:19H. Foley?

  So, a couple of days?

• 44:20Speaker 03

Maybe a month, the most, yeah, yeah. Fun to feed those little guys for that period, though, you know?

• 44:24H. Foley?

You're on borrowed time, you ain't got a filter there, dog.

• 44:28Speaker 01

  Cloudy ass water.

• 44:29H. Foley?

You're just sitting in a glass of water.

• 44:31Speaker 03

I did have turtles in college, so.

• 44:33H. Foley?

Why? In the dorm or in an apartment?

• 44:37Speaker 03

  Apartment.

• 44:37Speaker 01

  That apartment had to stink.

• 44:39H. Foley?

  How many turtles?

• 44:40Speaker 03

You know it did. My sister found one in the park, and I was like, whoa, a turtle, I'm fucking 20 years old. And I'm like, wow, a turtle, I didn't know these were real. And so I got a terrarium, and put it in my apartment, and then, you know, I got the filter going and all that shit, and then it, god, those things stink. Let my friend, uh, watch it when I went to LA, and he let it die, so, still on my shit list.

• 45:04Speaker 01

What was that apartment like? How many, uh, how many bedrooms, how many people?

• 45:08Speaker 03

That specific apartment was fucking sick, it was on top of like a Asian grocery store. And it was four bedrooms, and my room, it was like total bachelor pad, my room went out to the deck.

• 45:18Speaker 01

Not one lady went in there.

• 45:19Speaker 03

  No.

• 45:21H. Foley?

Asian grocery store turtles? Sounds like a real swinging spot.

• 45:26Speaker 01

  That place had to stink.

• 45:28Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, that turtle had plenty of mice for friends. But I had a deck outside of my bedroom door.

• 45:33Speaker 01

That's pretty good, dude, 20 year old with a deck and a turtle, you can't tell me nothing.

• 45:37H. Foley?

  Captain Grant, damn this.

• 45:38Speaker 03

Still was wearing a medium shirt, Jesus Christ.

• 45:41H. Foley?

Hey, you sold some 20 bags in college at the time?

• 45:43Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 45:43Speaker 01

  Making ends meet.

• 45:44H. Foley?

  People coming over, hanging out?

• 45:46Speaker 03

  Yeah, I mean, uh...

• 45:48H. Foley?

Or would you go to them?

• 45:49Speaker 03

If you got the bros and you got five, or three friends that are trying to smoke a blunt, bring over a gram, they both give me, they all give me five bucks, I throw the other five myself. Get high for an hour, and then, do it all over again, baby.

• 46:04Speaker 03

  You guys know their drill.

• 46:05H. Foley?

That was the cover at your apartment? That's crazy, dude.

• 46:10H. Foley?

Wow, Johnny, you are a different level of trash.

• 46:14Speaker 03

I'm gonna turn it around, I know it.

• 46:18H. Foley?

Unless you win a Nobel Peace Prize between LA and now.

• 46:24Speaker 01

  Alright, I mean...

• 46:26H. Foley?

What kinda mayonnaise growing up? Was it Hellmann's? Was it Miracle Whip?

• 46:30Speaker 03

I don't really fuck with white condiments.

• 46:32Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 46:33Speaker 03

But I think we had Hellmann's.

• 46:35Speaker 01

What else falls in, besides mayo?

• 46:37Speaker 03

  Ranch sour cream.

• 46:38Speaker 01

  Whoa, I stand corrected.

• 46:39Speaker 03

  Cottage cheese, any of that.

• 46:42Speaker 01

Oh, you're the guy who's never had a bowl of cereal?

• 46:44Speaker 03

Yes, well, at this point I have.

• 46:46Speaker 01

This point you had, I remember. He'd never had a bowl of cereal up until a couple of years ago?

• 46:50Speaker 03

You're a picky guy too, right?

• 46:51Speaker 01

Hey, don't drag me into this, you fucking weirdo.

• 46:53H. Foley?

  Wait, what?

• 46:54Speaker 01

I am a picky eater, yes.

• 46:55Speaker 03

I used to, I ran a little show for a couple of times called New Foods with JDC, where I would have a guest bring me a food that I had never tried. One of them was cereal with milk. Also, it was the first time I-

• 47:06H. Foley?

  You're joking.

• 47:06Speaker 01

  No.

• 47:07H. Foley?

You didn't have, as a kid, you didn't have cereal?

• 47:08Speaker 03

I didn't try milk till college. It wasn't for me.

• 47:13Speaker 01

  What?

• 47:14Speaker 03

Yeah, I think my first memory is my mom trying to shove a Cheerio into my mouth, and me just being like, "No, no, no." So as soon as I could make conscious decisions about food, it was like, they submitted pretty quickly and were just like, "Fine, you're getting McDonald's."

• 47:28H. Foley?

What'd you eat for breakfast when you were a kid?

• 47:30Speaker 03

Pop Tarts, toaster strudels, sometimes my mom would make some eggs or pancakes.

• 47:35Speaker 01

Kids living the fuck, you guys are kind of in a breakfast where I go.

• 47:39H. Foley?

I know why you like the hotels.

• 47:42Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 47:43H. Foley?

  Really?

• 47:43Speaker 01

So would you do dry cereal at any point, or no?

• 47:46Speaker 03

Uh-uh, I think I tried Cookie Crisp Dry, and I was like, "This ain't a fucking cookie, brother. What the fuck is this?"

• 47:50Speaker 01

Yeah, I used to go get a real cookie. What the hell we doing here?

• 47:53H. Foley?

Wow, that's crazy. Never had a bowl of cereal.

• 47:56Speaker 03

A banana somebody brought to try the first time.

• 47:58H. Foley?

  He's never had a banana.

• 48:00Speaker 03

  Really?

• 48:00Speaker 01

  Respect.

• 48:00Speaker 03

Yeah, now we're talking. I'll never do it again, so you're not missing much.

• 48:03Speaker 01

Thank you. I'm gonna, next time they try to get me, I'll say, "Dokalo did it for me, and he didn't like it." No way.

• 48:08Speaker 03

Put it in the smoothie, blend it up.

• 48:10Speaker 01

Cut to me and you with devil's stick. Who needs potassium anyway?

• 48:14Speaker 03

  Can't land a kickflip.

• 48:15H. Foley?

Kevin, you are 10% weirder now. Now I know what the barometer of not eating a banana is. This guy's never had cereal? That's... whoa.

• 48:24Speaker 01

So then, what led to the milk in college?

• 48:28Speaker 03

I think we, uh... Some friends were over for dinner with my family. And they were like, "You seriously have never tried milk as an adult that you can remember?" Or like, as a child, yeah. And I think I had a sip of it in front of my friends.

• 48:44Speaker 01

Ah! Spits all over the table.

• 48:46Speaker 03

It's not bad. It's kinda just like a watery vanilla milkshake, you know what I mean? But I don't go back to the tap for it, you know?

• 48:54H. Foley?

So you're not a milk guy?

• 48:55Speaker 03

No. I know you guys are big on, uh, milk for dinner. That was my dad's move.

• 49:00H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 49:01Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 49:01H. Foley?

At least there's one normal person. He took you to Disney World for 48 hours.

• 49:07Speaker 03

Yeah, the milk was flowing that weekend.

• 49:08Speaker 01

Oh, okay. Um... Wow. Uh, what other... okay. Hmm.

• 49:17Speaker 01

  That's a lot. I mean, I'm a picky eater, but...

• 49:20Speaker 04

What was the first bowl of cereal?

• 49:21Speaker 01

  Oh, good... great question.

• 49:23Speaker 03

Uh, we did a little trio of three. One was Honey Nut Cheerios. I think the other was regular Cheerios. Honey Nut blows regular out of the fucking water.

• 49:34Speaker 01

  It's not even corny.

• 49:35Speaker 03

Yeah. Honey Nut Cheerios might as well be candy compared to the other shit. And then, uh...

• 49:41H. Foley?

  Welcome to Earth.

• 49:43Speaker 03

And then something like one of the cinnamon... Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

• 49:45H. Foley?

Okay, so you just took a couple of bites of each? So they stood around and watched you do this?

• 49:50Speaker 03

Audience full of people who paid five bucks to see it.

• 49:55Speaker 01

Man, what a country we live in. Step right up, step right in!

• 49:59H. Foley?

  Are you flossing every day?

• 50:01Speaker 03

  I do not floss, no.

• 50:02H. Foley?

  Never?

• 50:05Speaker 03

  Couple times a decade, maybe?

• 50:06H. Foley?

You go to the dentist regularly?

• 50:08Speaker 03

  No, heavens, no.

• 50:09H. Foley?

Did you have braces as a kid?

• 50:12Speaker 03

  I did, yeah.

• 50:13Speaker 01

Do you have dental insurance now?

• 50:15Speaker 03

I just re-upped my Obamacare and I added dental.

• 50:18Speaker 01

  There you go.

• 50:19Speaker 03

Yeah, so I think this year's my year. I only go to the dentist in recent years when I can feel one of my wisdom teeth coming in. And then I go in and I'm like, "What is it?" And they're like, "It's your wisdom teeth." Same thing as last time. And then they give me a slip for an oral surgeon. And then the pain stops and now they've...

• 50:34H. Foley?

  And you never go.

• 50:34Speaker 03

  They've all grown in completely.

• 50:35Speaker 01

Yeah, mine are in pretty heavy.

• 50:37Speaker 03

Yeah. Never got them taken out?

• 50:39Speaker 01

  No.

• 50:39H. Foley?

  No.

• 50:39Speaker 03

Man, we gotta use those pills, right?

• 50:42H. Foley?

I used to always say that, "Hey, man, when you get it done, don't take all the pills." Save a little something for Uncle Hank. Could be the bitch.

• 50:49Speaker 03

  It don't hurt that bad.

• 50:51Speaker 01

  Uh, everyone a lava lamp?

• 50:54H. Foley?

  Had to.

• 50:55Speaker 03

I think during the turtle apartment, I had a lava lamp in there, yeah. The turtles needed something to look at.

• 51:00Speaker 01

I'm hell on day. Anybody, any, uh, black light posters or anything at any point?

• 51:04Speaker 03

Uh, I don't think so. My sister had them in her room.

• 51:08Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 51:09Speaker 03

  Growing up, yeah.

• 51:09H. Foley?

Did you ever blow, blow weed in the turtle's face?

• 51:13Speaker 03

  I must have, yeah.

• 51:15Speaker 01

You must try to teach him karate.

• 51:17Speaker 03

Come on, come on, Leo, you got this.

• 51:19H. Foley?

  Was that his name?

• 51:20Speaker 03

Yeah. I do believe it was a girl, though.

• 51:24Speaker 01

Don't want to assume. Uh, if you're driving, what kind of car do you have now?

• 51:29Speaker 03

  No car.

• 51:29Speaker 01

  No car.

• 51:30Speaker 03

  My girlfriend's car.

• 51:30Speaker 01

Your girlfriend's car. You live in the city?

• 51:33Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 51:33Speaker 01

You live in the city, yeah, yeah, okay. Do, if you're driving that, just you, will you drive with headphones in?

• 51:39Speaker 03

  No.

• 51:39Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 51:40Speaker 03

  No. I, I have.

• 51:41Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 51:42Speaker 03

With AirPods a couple times, but I don't make that a habit.

• 51:45H. Foley?

  What's she whipping around in?

• 51:46Speaker 03

That is a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.

• 51:50Speaker 01

  Respectable, respectable city car.

• 51:52H. Foley?

  You like rotisserie chicken?

• 51:54Speaker 03

  Love it.

• 51:55H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 51:56Speaker 03

Just had one at Costco last week.

• 51:58H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 51:59Speaker 01

  At Costco?

• 52:01Speaker 03

  In the parking lot, baby.

• 52:02H. Foley?

  Why?

• 52:02Speaker 03

  Ate the bones and all.

• 52:08H. Foley?

You're not supposed to eat the bones?

• 52:09Speaker 01

  Uh, ever...

• 52:10H. Foley?

  He went three other pigeons.

• 52:13Speaker 01

Bopping his head. Um, uh, any Axe body spray at any point?

• 52:19Speaker 03

Oh, yeah, dude, I did the thing that they do on the commercial around the body.

• 52:23Speaker 01

  The Axe, yeah.

• 52:23Speaker 03

  I honestly don't know.

• 52:26Speaker 03

Like, there's part of me that is like, I wasn't getting laid because I was handsome. I was getting laid because they smelled the Xbox. That's how good that marketing was.

• 52:33Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 52:34Speaker 03

  I was so much-

• 52:35Speaker 01

Dude, that would start, I'd start chubbing up on those videos. The broads ripping the guy's clothes off.

• 52:40H. Foley?

Oh my god. It wasn't crazy how that went from like, such a pleasant smell of like, wow, this smells really good. Till just at a certain point in maturity, you're like, this stinks.

• 52:52Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 52:52Speaker 01

Yeah, it's like so fa- it's so fake.

• 52:54H. Foley?

So baby powder. It's like, ew.

• 52:57Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 52:57H. Foley?

I don't know how that happened. It's gotta be psychological, because it was the same smell when it first came out. But then after like a couple of years, everybody using it and the weed and this, you're just like, god, this fucking stinks. Are you a cologne guy now?

• 53:12Speaker 03

I am not, but uh, you know, if I pick up a GQ every once in a while, I'll rub my wrist on the inside, you know?

• 53:21Speaker 01

Are there any milk crates in your apartment at the moment?

• 53:23Speaker 03

  There certainly are.

• 53:24Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 53:24Speaker 03

  And they're filled with GQs.

• 53:26Speaker 01

  Really?

• 53:27Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 53:27Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 53:27H. Foley?

  Why? Is GQ your thing?

• 53:29Speaker 03

I had every ep- every, every episode, every issue uh, for about 20 years.

• 53:34H. Foley?

  Why?

• 53:34Speaker 03

Year 2020 to the year 202- uh, year 2000 to the year 2020.

• 53:38H. Foley?

  Why?

• 53:39Speaker 01

  Really?

• 53:39Speaker 03

  Subscription.

• 53:40H. Foley?

  You just like GQ?

• 53:41Speaker 03

Yeah, I like reading the articles, I like getting style inspiration. How do you think I dress like a fucking teenager from the future now?

• 53:46Speaker 01

He is a stylist, you've always, you were ahead of, he used to show up to an open mic and I'd be like, who the fu- I would take pictures and make fun of him. He sho- he, this guy showed up with a fanny pack 11, 12 years ago to an open mic.

• 53:59Speaker 03

  Yeah, 13 years ago.

• 54:00H. Foley?

You might be the first guy I ever saw wear like a Marc Jacobs leather jacket. Remember that one leather jacket that you had?

• 54:05Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 54:06Speaker 03

  Was it?

• 54:06H. Foley?

  It didn't have the collar.

• 54:07Speaker 03

It had a white, it was like a motorcycle jacket, right?

• 54:09H. Foley?

  Yeah.

• 54:10Speaker 01

That was a fucking, he was a cool guy.

• 54:12Speaker 03

Do you guys remember me wearing that? I don't even remember wearing that.

• 54:14Speaker 01

  I wanted to be, John.

• 54:17H. Foley?

  That was all GQ?

• 54:18Speaker 01

I gotta get myself a GQ. Hey, look, get a subscription here. I need a couple of tips.

• 54:23H. Foley?

So you have a collection of 20 year uh, GQ magazines in your apartment?

• 54:27Speaker 03

It's the bane of my girlfriend's existence, yeah.

• 54:29H. Foley?

  And why?

• 54:30Speaker 03

Don't throw those out. Those are good.

• 54:32H. Foley?

You don't wanna throw them out?

• 54:33Speaker 01

  I'm not cologne in there.

• 54:34Speaker 03

I think it's a cool uh, time capsule to hold on to, you know? I don't have any fucking records or anything. CDs are all in the fucking Goodwill.

• 54:42Speaker 01

  Don't you have children?

• 54:44Speaker 03

She'll sleep on them. She'll use them for fire.

• 54:48H. Foley?

Oh man, you're gonna be leafing through those with her one day like, eh, pretty cool, eh?

• 54:52Speaker 03

Yeah, and that's what inspired me to wear a scarf that summer.

• 54:55Speaker 01

  This is an MP3 player.

• 54:58H. Foley?

Whoa, um, if you and the lady go out to a nice dinner now, okay?

• 55:05Speaker 01

  Talking wah-wah.

• 55:07Speaker 03

You talking every third birthday for her?

• 55:09H. Foley?

Sure. Do you have a spot that you like? Is there any casual dining spots that maybe you went as a kid? Your parents take you or that you have an affection for now?

• 55:18Speaker 03

Um, I think you know well that I'm a chain restaurant guru.

• 55:22Speaker 01

I would not push back on that fact.

• 55:25Speaker 03

And like, live in a city with plenty of nice restaurants, mom and pop places. I will be like, hey, do you want to go to Chili's in Cherry Hill? And that's like-

• 55:34Speaker 01

  Cherry, that's a nice one.

• 55:35Speaker 03

  Yeah, that's a parking lot.

• 55:36Speaker 01

  Sure parking, that's big.

• 55:37Speaker 03

Yeah, I, if I get the inkling, we usually end up going to a chain restaurant.

• 55:42H. Foley?

Really? And Chili's would be the top?

• 55:44Speaker 03

Chili's, I mean, I'll go to these places by myself too. I'll sit at the bar at Chili's and order fucking nachos.

• 55:50Speaker 01

  Have a beer?

• 55:51Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 55:52Speaker 01

  Yeah.

• 55:52Speaker 03

I went to Olive Garden by myself a couple of weeks ago. I'm not fucking around. I walked in there and when the server came to my table, I was like, I'm going, I'm going, I'm gonna take the tour of Italy, but here's, here's what I'm here for. I'm gonna eat 12 breadsticks and four bowls of soup before I even touch that entree. And she was bringing me soups two at a time.

• 56:10Speaker 01

Did she do, did you do it?

• 56:11Speaker 03

  She played ball.

• 56:11Speaker 01

Did you knock it out of the park?

• 56:14Speaker 03

Uh, had some breadsticks to bring home, but I did polish off four bowls of soup and I tipped the lady 45%, alright?

• 56:20Speaker 01

That's pretty good. What kind of soup?

• 56:22Speaker 03

Supa descana. There's kale in there, it might as well be a salad.

• 56:25H. Foley?

  What's 45% of $13?

• 56:29H. Foley?

Wait a minute. Holy, four bowls of soup, dude.

• 56:33Speaker 03

  I was-

• 56:33Speaker 01

  He likes soup.

• 56:34Speaker 03

Floating out of that place. And guess what? I had a full meal when I got home the next day.

• 56:39Speaker 01

  Yeah, huh, okay, um-

• 56:42H. Foley?

  Was this lunch?

• 56:44Speaker 01

This was, this is the way home from church.

• 56:46Speaker 03

This was dinner. If I get in a little, uh, you know, me and the lady aren't talking for a couple of hours and I'm gonna, I'm gonna head out, I'm gonna get some food, I'm gonna go to Trader Joe's, but I'm really just going to Olive Garden by myself.

• 56:56Speaker 01

You'll do that and say, hey, I gotta, I got something. You'll go blow off some steam at the garden?

• 57:00Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 57:01Speaker 01

Okay, what, um- What is the last place you ordered takeout from?

• 57:06Speaker 03

Um, just picking up Burger King last night, it counts?

• 57:10Speaker 01

If that's your answer, then yes.

• 57:12Speaker 03

If I ordered on the app, it counts, right?

• 57:14Speaker 01

Well, you got the Burger King app.

• 57:15Speaker 03

Brother, I got 30 food apps in my.

• 57:17Speaker 01

  If you roll.

• 57:18Speaker 03

  You wanna roll through them?

• 57:20Speaker 01

  Okay, yes.

• 57:22Speaker 03

  Let's go to food.

• 57:23Speaker 01

  Uh huh.

• 57:24Speaker 03

You know it's food because it's labeled food.

• 57:26Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 57:26Speaker 03

Front row, we got all your big dogs. You got your. Um, there's nine there.

• 57:31Speaker 01

There's Domino's. Wait, go back. Let's see. You got Domino's, Wawa, Honeygro. I don't know what that is.

• 57:38Speaker 03

  Uh, Honeygro's great.

• 57:39Speaker 01

DoorDash, Uber Eats, Scrub Hub. You got everyone possible. Go Puff. Then you got Slice, Little Caesar's, Pizza Hut, Chipotle.

• 57:48Speaker 03

I saved three bucks on a pie with that app, alright?

• 57:50Speaker 01

Shake Shack, Sheets? Dude, you don't live within 100 miles of his Sheets.

• 57:54Speaker 03

But when I'm there, I'm ordering ahead of time.

• 57:56Speaker 01

He's got the Chili's. You got the Annie Hens Pretzels app, dude.

• 58:00H. Foley?

What? At the mall? Do you have computers there?

• 58:03Speaker 03

I downloaded it for one purchase at an outlet.

• 58:06Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 58:06Speaker 03

And I got like a free smoothie or something.

• 58:09Speaker 01

  You got a Wingstop?

• 58:10Speaker 03

  And here's the fast food.

• 58:12Speaker 01

This is it. Dunkin', Taco Bell, McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Jack in the Box.

• 58:17Speaker 03

I don't live anywhere near Jack in the Box.

• 58:19H. Foley?

Love it, Jack in the Box.

• 58:20Speaker 01

  Chick-fil-A, Arby's, KFC.

• 58:22Speaker 03

What about, we got some more.

• 58:24Speaker 01

  What's that?

• 58:24Speaker 03

  Some grocery store stuff.

• 58:25Speaker 01

Wegmans, Lidl, Acme, Mr. Salt- you got the Mr. Softy app. Papa John's and Applebee's.

• 58:32H. Foley?

That way you're gonna chase the truck down the street.

• 58:35Speaker 03

That's where the truck comes to me.

• 58:36H. Foley?

  Wait, does it?

• 58:38Speaker 03

  Uh, I forget.

• 58:39H. Foley?

What do you do with the Mr. Softy app?

• 58:40Speaker 01

Drop a pin, let them know.

• 58:41Speaker 03

I thought I could locate a truck with the app. I don't think it works like that. Ended up having to go to the brick and mortar location in Jersey.

• 58:47Speaker 01

  Oh, God.

• 58:48H. Foley?

Is it brick and mortar, Mr. Softy?

• 58:50Speaker 03

Year round, baby. It's in Pensacola or something.

• 58:54Speaker 01

  Shout out to Pensacola.

• 58:54H. Foley?

  Do you live in Jersey?

• 58:55Speaker 03

  No, I'm.

• 58:56Speaker 01

  I frequent there.

• 58:57Speaker 03

I go there three times a week, though. Just to park in a parking lot.

• 59:00H. Foley?

  Oh, my God.

• 59:01Speaker 03

  It's nice over there.

• 59:04Speaker 03

You got the mall, you got Costco, Wegmans, Trader Joe's.

• 59:07Speaker 01

  Uh, um, wow, okay.

• 59:09H. Foley?

Sao Paulo, I mean, what the fuck?

• 59:13Speaker 03

  Am I doing good?

• 59:15H. Foley?

  Hey buddy, you're doing great.

• 59:18Speaker 01

Don't let anybody tell you different. Uh, god, that's a lot of... All right, let's, let's, I mean, you, like, you are, you know, you're a connoisseur of these type things. We, we talk about them a lot on the show. Let's say you're at your local mall, maybe not the, uh, you do the Cherry Hill Mall, whatever, you're at your local mall. You're in your local mall food court, it's about 5:00 PM. You're hungry, you're not, the, the wife's work, whatever, you're just going, like, I'm, it's just you tonight.

• 59:47H. Foley?

You're at the mall by yourself, for whatever reason.

• 59:50Speaker 01

What are you, where, what are you hitting in the mall food court?

• 59:54Speaker 03

First thing I'm doing, bury me with an Annie Anne's Original with Salt and a Jamba Juice Strawberries Wild in the other hand.

• 1:00:01Speaker 01

That's just to get things going.

• 1:00:02Speaker 03

That's just to find the food court. That's just to get there.

• 1:00:05Speaker 01

And I've located the store on my app. I've located the Annie Anne's.

• 1:00:09Speaker 03

And then if it's din-din time, I'm going, uh...

• 1:00:12H. Foley?

  If it's soupy time?

• 1:00:14Speaker 03

I'm going probably like, uh, like a chicken teriyaki place.

• 1:00:19Speaker 01

  Really?

• 1:00:20Speaker 03

With the fried rice and the, uh...

• 1:00:22H. Foley?

  I respect.

• 1:00:22Speaker 03

They make it, it's the one that always has the longest line.

• 1:00:24Speaker 01

Sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just straight up chicken, just give me the chicken teriyaki, chicken rice.

• 1:00:29H. Foley?

Are you a free sample man? Would you, you take a little toothpick?

• 1:00:32Speaker 03

I'll do a lap. Whoever's got the toothpicks out. I'm usually not buying there, if that's the case, you know. Why buy the cow when you're getting the milk for free, buddy?

• 1:00:44H. Foley?

I'm not really in the market right now.

• 1:00:46Speaker 03

  Free toothpick, though.

• 1:00:50H. Foley?

Got my tour of Italy out.

• 1:00:51Speaker 01

You pull up, I haven't, I, I got something stuck in my teeth, have a toothpick, oh, there's chicken on there? Um...

• 1:00:59Speaker 01

  All right, okay, that's respectable.

• 1:01:02H. Foley?

The double stop is wild, the Jamba Juice and then the pretzel.

• 1:01:06Speaker 03

You need something to wash that salty pretzel down.

• 1:01:07H. Foley?

You won't have the lemonade at Annie Anne's or anything like that?

• 1:01:10Speaker 03

  Every once in a while.

• 1:01:12Speaker 01

Have you ever had their breakfast? Annie Anne's breakfast.

• 1:01:14Speaker 03

  At the airport.

• 1:01:15Speaker 01

  At the airport.

• 1:01:16Speaker 03

Yeah, I have had it at the airport.

• 1:01:18Speaker 01

I've seen a sign and I went, who?

• 1:01:19H. Foley?

  I don't know about that.

• 1:01:20Speaker 03

Sausage, egg and cheese on a, on a pretzel roll.

• 1:01:23Speaker 01

  What?

• 1:01:23Speaker 03

  Salty.

• 1:01:25Speaker 01

  It's pretty crazy.

• 1:01:26Speaker 03

Too much salt for a breakfast sandwich, but I get it down.

• 1:01:29H. Foley?

I like the cinnamon ones, the little Swiss cinnamon nuggets.

• 1:01:31Speaker 03

  You're a dessert boy.

• 1:01:33H. Foley?

  I like the sweets.

• 1:01:37Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:01:38H. Foley?

Any vacations now to speak of? Have you and your girl ever gone away?

• 1:01:44Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. I drag her to the Sierra Nevada Mountains every single year.

• 1:01:47Speaker 01

  Right, you're an outdoorsy guy.

• 1:01:49Speaker 03

Yeah, I like to go to Yosemite or Tahoe. Started with her in a tent for the first couple of years.

• 1:01:57H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:01:57Speaker 03

Now, we, she hasn't slept in a tent in a number of years, so we're on the hotel tip in the mountains now. But if she had it her way, we would go to.

• 1:02:05H. Foley?

What do you eat out there?

• 1:02:06Speaker 03

Miami or something, you know, some beach.

• 1:02:10H. Foley?

She don't get it her way.

• 1:02:11Speaker 03

  Yeah, no she doesn't.

• 1:02:13H. Foley?

What do you eat out there?

• 1:02:15Speaker 03

  Uh.

• 1:02:15H. Foley?

  Will you camp out?

• 1:02:16Speaker 03

  If I'm camping?

• 1:02:16H. Foley?

Yeah, you'll do the like hot dogs or whatever?

• 1:02:18Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah. If I'm just doing two nights, I'll just grab a pack of hot dogs and some chips or something like that.

• 1:02:22Speaker 01

You would do that if you were staying at your apartment?

• 1:02:26Speaker 03

Got some Annie Anne's in here.

• 1:02:29Speaker 01

Tracking down a Mr. Softy through the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Shh, I think I hear him.

• 1:02:36H. Foley?

He's gonna get stuck going over Donner Pass.

• 1:02:39Speaker 01

There's no way that truck can make that turn. Dead man's elbow or whatever.

• 1:02:45H. Foley?

He's stuck in the mud, get him! We're all eating waffle cones today, baby.

• 1:02:51Speaker 01

What are you, what are you cooking at the house if any, or what are you eating at the house? It's not takeout or something, like what's that looking like?

• 1:02:59Speaker 03

If I'm cooking, I made filet mignon the other night.

• 1:03:03Speaker 01

  Whoa, what?

• 1:03:04Speaker 03

  Foley mignon with some, uh.

• 1:03:06Speaker 01

Padda pats with the Burger King beef patties.

• 1:03:10Speaker 03

Some heirloom carrots, some scalloped potatoes.

• 1:03:13H. Foley?

  Whoa.

• 1:03:14Speaker 03

Carrots were from Trader Joe's. Scalloped potatoes were just a microwavable.

• 1:03:18H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:03:19Speaker 03

  Plastic dish.

• 1:03:19H. Foley?

  From Trader Joe's?

• 1:03:20Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:03:21H. Foley?

  They're pretty good.

• 1:03:22Speaker 03

  Not bad.

• 1:03:22H. Foley?

All their stuff like that's top shelf.

• 1:03:24Speaker 03

Heat up some ciabatta rolls, some par-baked ciabatta rolls. But that's about, I don't, I order food most of the time.

• 1:03:32Speaker 01

Are you guys eating together a lot?

• 1:03:36Speaker 03

A couple of days a week, yeah.

• 1:03:38H. Foley?

He answers, oh, you were a jerk off.

• 1:03:41Speaker 01

Why you gonna make me say this?

• 1:03:44Speaker 03

  I mean.

• 1:03:45Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:03:45H. Foley?

  Different schedules?

• 1:03:47Speaker 03

  Yeah, oh yeah.

• 1:03:48Speaker 01

  Different lifestyles, I believe.

• 1:03:49Speaker 03

Two ships passing in the night.

• 1:03:50H. Foley?

  Different world.

• 1:03:51Speaker 03

We are two ships passing in the afternoon.

• 1:03:53H. Foley?

And you're eating on the couch in front of the TV, I would assume? Or you sit at the table?

• 1:03:57Speaker 03

If the baby's eating in the high chair, if Maggie cooked something for the baby to eat.

• 1:04:01H. Foley?

  Uh huh.

• 1:04:02Speaker 03

We'll all eat around the kitchen counter.

• 1:04:04H. Foley?

Now, who'd you, the filets, they weren't just for you, right? They were for you and her.

• 1:04:07Speaker 03

Yeah, yeah, two pack. I wish it sold them in ones.

• 1:04:12Speaker 01

You gotta make her one then.

• 1:04:13Speaker 03

Twenty bucks for two little fucking nice medallions? Thick boys, too. Ended up coming out rare.

• 1:04:18H. Foley?

  He's such a strange combination.

• 1:04:20Speaker 01

  I know.

• 1:04:21H. Foley?

It's nuts. I can't believe you know what an heirloom carrot is. Which, I think you're thinking heirloom tomato. Are there heirloom carrots?

• 1:04:27Speaker 03

I don't know if they're called heirloom carrots.

• 1:04:29H. Foley?

  I don't think they are.

• 1:04:30Speaker 03

  They're carrots of many colors.

• 1:04:31Speaker 01

  Ah.

• 1:04:32Speaker 03

You know, the purple ones, the yellow ones.

• 1:04:34H. Foley?

Confirmed heirloom, wow. That's a nice pull.

• 1:04:37Speaker 04

  The purple ones.

• 1:04:38Speaker 03

Yeah, I like the purple ones.

• 1:04:40Speaker 01

You're nuts. You won't drink milk, but you eat a purple carrot? That is upside down in my brain. That's nuts, dude.

• 1:04:46Speaker 03

You won't eat a purple carrot?

• 1:04:47Speaker 01

I will, but you don't, I think in my head, I would draw the line at.

• 1:04:51H. Foley?

It's got enough ketchup on it, yeah.

• 1:04:54Speaker 03

I'll fuck with carrots. I'll eat anything in a soup. If you put it in a soup, I'll eat anything.

• 1:04:58Speaker 01

  You're a soupy guy.

• 1:04:59Speaker 03

Or if it's fried. I'll eat a boot if you fry it.

• 1:05:01Speaker 01

  Uh.

• 1:05:02H. Foley?

Number one. Have to, gun to your head, fast food chain. Only one for the rest of your life.

• 1:05:10Speaker 03

  It's gonna be Taco Bell.

• 1:05:11H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:05:12Speaker 03

Taco Bell has been treating me pretty nicely. Out of the air-mingo cluster of, uh, fast food places, they really take their time and they put some care into the, uh, into the package you're getting.

• 1:05:22H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:05:26Speaker 01

  Uh, I mean, hmm.

• 1:05:29H. Foley?

  Can you whistle?

• 1:05:31Speaker 03

  Yes, but not well.

• 1:05:32H. Foley?

Can you whistle with your fingers?

• 1:05:34Speaker 03

  No.

• 1:05:34H. Foley?

  Or you double joint it?

• 1:05:36Speaker 03

  What does this mean?

• 1:05:37Speaker 01

  Whoa, he's popping and locking.

• 1:05:39Speaker 03

  That's all I got.

• 1:05:41Speaker 01

That's, now, I feel, I can feel the click.

• 1:05:43Speaker 03

Is there an urgent care near here?

• 1:05:48H. Foley?

  And/or an Olive Garden.

• 1:05:50Speaker 01

A bowl of soup, I'll get my head on straight.

• 1:05:52H. Foley?

Ever been bitten by a dog?

• 1:05:54Speaker 03

Um, not to break skin, no.

• 1:06:00Speaker 03

I mean, we've all been nipped by a dog that's too...

• 1:06:02Speaker 01

  Sure.

• 1:06:03Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:06:08Speaker 01

He broke the skin! I would classify that as a bite.

• 1:06:12Speaker 03

Now I gotta get a tetanus shot.

• 1:06:18Speaker 01

When was the last time you went to a Renaissance fair?

• 1:06:20Speaker 03

  Never.

• 1:06:21Speaker 01

  Whoa, wouldn't he guess that?

• 1:06:23Speaker 03

  Really?

• 1:06:24Speaker 01

Uh, hmm. Have you had poison ivy in the last 365 days?

• 1:06:29Speaker 03

  I don't believe so.

• 1:06:31Speaker 01

Okay. Have you ever cut the sleeves off a hoodie?

• 1:06:34Speaker 03

  Not a hoodie, no.

• 1:06:37Speaker 01

Okay, when was the last time you ordered a shot of Fireball?

• 1:06:39Speaker 03

Aw, man, uh, over five years.

• 1:06:42Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:06:43Speaker 03

Probably longer. That shit is not for me. I don't drink liquor at all, so...

• 1:06:47Speaker 01

  Okay.

• 1:06:48H. Foley?

Do you keep beers in the house?

• 1:06:50Speaker 03

Uh, rarely, if like, I brought them home from like leftover party or something like that.

• 1:06:55H. Foley?

  How's that happen?

• 1:06:56Speaker 03

If we're all drinking on my boy's porch, and I'm like, I might want these six when I get home. I'll take them home. Only have one when I get home, and then I got five in the fridge that are just...

• 1:07:03H. Foley?

You'll take the beers back from a party?

• 1:07:05Speaker 03

We're living a dirtbag lifestyle over on my buddy's porch, alright?

• 1:07:09Speaker 01

  My buddy's porch? I don't think it's connected to a house.

• 1:07:11Speaker 03

You think he needs 40 Miller Lights? He drinks too much as it is.

• 1:07:15H. Foley?

Has there ever been a time where you went over and hung out at that porch and didn't go into the house?

• 1:07:18Speaker 03

  Uh, no.

• 1:07:19H. Foley?

You run into pay or something like that?

• 1:07:23Speaker 03

A certain backyard porch, yeah. I have gone over and not entered the house, yeah.

• 1:07:29H. Foley?

  That's trespassing.

• 1:07:31Speaker 03

I don't typically keep beer in the fridge, no.

• 1:07:34H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:07:35Speaker 01

  You open your eyes underwater?

• 1:07:37Speaker 03

Um, I think I do, yeah.

• 1:07:40H. Foley?

Any of the baby snacks that you particularly enjoy?

• 1:07:44Speaker 03

  Uh, not yet, no.

• 1:07:47Speaker 01

Have you given the baby soup yet?

• 1:07:50Speaker 03

I don't think so. No. Today's the day.

• 1:07:55H. Foley?

  You have a passport?

• 1:07:57Speaker 03

  Expired.

• 1:07:58Speaker 01

  What?

• 1:07:59Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:08:00Speaker 01

  You have an expired passport?

• 1:08:01Speaker 03

And too, too over-expired to redo, I have to go through the whole process again.

• 1:08:06Speaker 01

Oh my, that's like losing your license.

• 1:08:08Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:08:10Speaker 01

  Whoa.

• 1:08:12Speaker 01

I don't think I've ever met anybody with an expired passport.

• 1:08:14H. Foley?

  Seriously?

• 1:08:15Speaker 01

It's spies. When, when did it expire?

• 1:08:19Speaker 03

Uh, I got it when I was probably 20, so it expired about eight years ago.

• 1:08:26Speaker 01

  Ten years ago.

• 1:08:27H. Foley?

  Where'd you go?

• 1:08:28Speaker 03

  I went to London.

• 1:08:29Speaker 01

  Hello.

• 1:08:30Speaker 03

With the first trip, and then I have been to Costa Rica and Canada as well with it.

• 1:08:35H. Foley?

  Okay.

• 1:08:35Speaker 03

  Yeah.

• 1:08:36H. Foley?

Costa Rica, what were you doing down there?

• 1:08:37Speaker 03

  Studying abroad.

• 1:08:39H. Foley?

  Really?

• 1:08:39Speaker 03

  And doing some schoolwork.

• 1:08:44Speaker 01

  Uh, I mean, I don't know.

• 1:08:46H. Foley?

  What, it's what?

• 1:08:47Speaker 01

  Yeah, this guy's Delaware trash.

• 1:08:49H. Foley?

  Man, climbing the charts quickly.

• 1:08:52Speaker 01

  That's crazy, dude.

• 1:08:53H. Foley?

Coming in out of nowhere with a heater.

• 1:08:55Speaker 03

It was the shared driveway, I knew it.

• 1:08:58H. Foley?

  That's, that's the, the-

• 1:08:59Speaker 01

That's the least of your worries.

• 1:09:01H. Foley?

At, when we got to the, the repetition of "at one point",

• 1:09:06Speaker 01

  Oh, yeah.

• 1:09:06H. Foley?

You were in a lot of trouble.

• 1:09:07Speaker 01

My dad owned this at one point, my grandfather owned that at one point.

• 1:09:10H. Foley?

Gang, you can hear him every week on his amazing podcast, Little Stinkers, Mr. John Del Calo.

• 1:09:16Speaker 03

  Thank you guys so much.

• 1:09:18H. Foley?

  Grade A.

• 1:09:19Speaker 01

  Trash.

• 1:09:20H. Foley?

  Duty free. Delaware. A gurby.

• 1:09:24Speaker 01

  Tax-free trash, baby.

• 1:09:25Speaker 03

  I had a feeling.

• 1:09:28H. Foley?

  Bike messenger on foot.

• 1:09:29Speaker 03

  Oh, man.

• 1:09:31H. Foley?

Uh, what do you got coming up? What do you want the folks to start telling you now? Hit them.

• 1:09:33Speaker 03
