  This is a HeadGum Podcast.

• 1:18Fortune Feimster?

  Pretty little episode.

• 1:20Mae Martin?

Welcome to a pretty little episode. I feel like my voice got quite vulnerable and quivery there.

• 1:25Fortune Feimster?

  Welcome, welcome.

• 1:28Mae Martin?

To a pretty little episode. I'm one of your handsome hosts, Mae Martin.

• 1:34Fortune Feimster?

I'm another handsome host, Fortune Feimster.

• 1:37Mae Martin?

  You know what?

• 1:38Fortune Feimster?

And we're so excited to be doing this. What were you gonna say, May?

• 1:41Mae Martin?

I was just gonna say, you know, I'm on testosterone, like, and still, my voice is so much higher than my co-stars, like, the woman playing anyone. And there's even, like, teenage girls in the show who are like, "Hey, what's up?" And I'm like, "Hello!" Good morning.

• 1:58Fortune Feimster?

  I like your voice.

• 1:59Mae Martin?

Thank you. I like your voice.

• 2:02Fortune Feimster?

But you want it to be a little deeper?

• 2:04Mae Martin?

Maybe a little, but I think I don't have a clear, I think I, I don't see or hear myself very, very accurately.

• 2:11Fortune Feimster?

  Like, right, oh, same.

• 2:13Mae Martin?

Really? Cause in my mind, I'm a, I'm like, and I don't think I'm like that.

• 2:17Fortune Feimster?

You definitely don't sound like that at all.

• 2:19Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 2:20Fortune Feimster?

I know that I have a southern accent, but I can't hear it. And then when I listen to myself on like a stand up clip or something, I'm like, wow.

• 2:31Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 2:33Fortune Feimster?

  A thick accent.

• 2:34Mae Martin?

  That's so funny.

• 2:35Fortune Feimster?

But I can't really hear it myself.

• 2:37Mae Martin?

Like just then, you couldn't hear?

• 2:39Fortune Feimster?

Not really. It's, it's, to me, I think I sound like middle America.

• 2:45Mae Martin?

  Right, right.

• 2:46Fortune Feimster?

Totally, totally middle ground. And then, yeah, it definitely is not that.

• 2:51Mae Martin?

It probably gets a little stronger when you're on stage too, like.

• 2:55Fortune Feimster?

  I think so.

• 2:56Mae Martin?

Do you think I sound Canadian?

• 2:57Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, you have certain words that definitely are Canadian, like sorry.

• 3:02Mae Martin?

Oh, man, that's, I've probably talked about this already, but I, I only remembered halfway through the shoot of this show I'm filming that my character's from Detroit. And I've been saying.

• 3:13Fortune Feimster?

  You were saying sorry?

• 3:14Mae Martin?

The whole time, I've been saying sorry and, sorry, sorry. And I've been adding the word to lines that's not even in, just apologizing so much.

• 3:23Fortune Feimster?

Truth be told, if you told me right now, do a Detroit accent, I wouldn't really know, even though my wife is from technically Michigan.

• 3:30Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 3:31Fortune Feimster?

To me, Detroit is a different accent than other parts of Michigan.

• 3:36Mae Martin?

  Yeah, isn't it?

• 3:37Fortune Feimster?

And so I wouldn't know what accent to do.

• 3:39Mae Martin?

Is it like eight mile? I mean, all I know is they would say so- sorry, not, how do you say sorry?

• 3:44Fortune Feimster?

  Really?

• 3:44Mae Martin?

  How do you say?

• 3:45Fortune Feimster?

  I say sor- sorry.

• 3:47Mae Martin?

  Sorry, sorry.

• 3:48Fortune Feimster?

So it has more of an A sound to it than a su-.

• 3:51Mae Martin?

  Sorry.

• 3:52Fortune Feimster?

But Jax is Michigan, so she'll say like, oh, my God.

• 3:55Mae Martin?

  Oh, my God.

• 3:56Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, my God.

• 3:57Mae Martin?

Okay, watch me throw in a few, oh, my Gods.

• 4:00Fortune Feimster?

But don't, but I don't think people in Detroit sound like that. So see, that's where it's tricky.

• 4:04Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 4:05Fortune Feimster?

Hers is like, um, a different part of Michigan kind of thing. And she only has certain words she says like that.

• 4:11Mae Martin?

I mean, people even have, like, within their families, they develop their own unique accent.

• 4:16Fortune Feimster?

Well, I grew up thirty minutes, twenty to thirty minutes from Charlotte, depending on what side of Charlotte. No one from Charlotte sounds anything like the people in my hometown.

• 4:27Mae Martin?

  That's so wild.

• 4:28Fortune Feimster?

It's really crazy. We're separated by a bridge.

• 4:32Mae Martin?

  That's crazy.

• 4:33Fortune Feimster?

  And that's it.

• 4:34Mae Martin?

And are you, is your hometown super like, ah, not patriotic, but like town proud?

• 4:40Fortune Feimster?

I mean, anyone that's from Belmont is like, they're not embarrassed of it. They're like, I'm from Belmont.

• 4:46Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 4:46Fortune Feimster?

  But they're not like.

• 4:47Mae Martin?

They're not like Belmont rules, Charlotte.

• 4:50Fortune Feimster?

  Rule, strong.

• 4:54Fortune Feimster?

No, but they're like, yeah, I'm from Belmont. It's, it's a source of pride, I guess, for themselves, but not, they're not overboard.

• 5:01Mae Martin?

Wait, we haven't introduced what this episode is. I forgot. Um, if you're listening for the first time, this is a pretty little episode where you send in your questions and we answer them.

• 5:11Fortune Feimster?

That's right. Because we had so many lovely listeners who would listen to the podcast and they would chime in on things that we were answering from, from our, our guests on the reg, or they were sending us questions on the Instagram. And we were like, you know what? We would love to be answering our listeners' questions on a podcast.

• 5:35Mae Martin?

I love to hear it. I'm so curious about what people, yeah, what they, what they want to hear from us.

• 5:43Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. Well, this is our chance, May. You want to hear a question?

• 5:47Mae Martin?

  Yeah, desperate to.

• 5:48Fortune Feimster?

  I'm desperate to.

• 5:52Speaker 03

Hello, handsome. My name is Amy and I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. And my question for you is if there was a perfect food item and beverage combination that described who you are, um, described your, yourself perfectly, um, what would that be and why?

• 6:13Mae Martin?

God, that's good. That is one of my favorite questions.

• 6:17Fortune Feimster?

  Beverage combo, is it?

• 6:18Mae Martin?

  I don't know.

• 6:19Fortune Feimster?

I was just thinking about food because you're eating pads, you?

• 6:22Mae Martin?

I am eating pads, you. Thanks for blowing up my spot.

• 6:25Fortune Feimster?

Well, you're not, you're not, you're eating it at appropriate times. You're not like over here smacking your lips.

• 6:31Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 6:31Fortune Feimster?

But you showed me a little peek of it and I've never been more jealous in my life. It looks so good.

• 6:37Mae Martin?

I love a, like a, it's a shrimp and vegetable pad, see you.

• 6:40Fortune Feimster?

Oh, I love Thai food. We talked early on in our podcast about I could, if I had to be on the run. I could do it in Thailand. And it really is because of the food.

• 6:53Mae Martin?

Yeah. Oh, man, I love it. And I think I've talked about how I'm embarrassed whenever people ask my favorite food. I have to say like shrimp dumplings or shrimp spring rolls or things like that. Cause it just, A, the word sounds gross to say shrimp.

• 7:05Fortune Feimster?

  Shrimp.

• 7:06Mae Martin?

It's just, it's just, yeah. But, okay, a food and beverage combo that really sums you up or, yeah. Okay, that's really, I want to get this right. I just, it tickles me, that question.

• 7:19Fortune Feimster?

I had a friend in college actually answer this question for me.

• 7:23Mae Martin?

  No.

• 7:24Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. And I, and, and I thought, what made her think of this?

• 7:29Mae Martin?

  If I guess it.

• 7:31Fortune Feimster?

Oh, yeah. Guess what it is?

• 7:33Mae Martin?

Will you freak out if I guess it right?

• 7:35Fortune Feimster?

I would be so impressed. It's hard because there's a lot of food and there's a lot of drinks out there.

• 7:40Mae Martin?

Yeah, but I'm thinking if it's something she just volunteered out of nowhere, then it's probably something iconic.

• 7:46Fortune Feimster?

  Hmm, I don't know.

• 7:48Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 7:49Fortune Feimster?

One I think is pretty iconic and one's pretty run of the mill.

• 7:53Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 7:54Fortune Feimster?

One's simple and one's got some pizzazz, which I guess is me.

• 8:00Mae Martin?

I was gonna say a cold glass of milk and a chocolate chip cookie.

• 8:07Fortune Feimster?

That could work. That wasn't what she said, but that could work.

• 8:11Mae Martin?

  Joyful.

• 8:12Fortune Feimster?

  I feel like I'm sweet.

• 8:13Mae Martin?

  Sweet.

• 8:14Fortune Feimster?

  And dependable.

• 8:15Mae Martin?

There's a sort of nostalgia even to, yeah, but, okay. Okay, did, uh, an aperol spritz and a hot dog.

• 8:26Fortune Feimster?

Those are just two foods I really like.

• 8:28Mae Martin?

Yeah, yeah, that don't go particularly well together.

• 8:31Fortune Feimster?

That's, both of those are very solid guesses, May.

• 8:35Mae Martin?

Okay, what, what did she say?

• 8:37Fortune Feimster?

She said, if I could compare you to any sandwich.

• 8:40Mae Martin?

Okay, was she in love with you?

• 8:41Fortune Feimster?

It would be a chicken sandwich.

• 8:43Mae Martin?

  A chicken sandwich?

• 8:44Fortune Feimster?

But she didn't say why. I think it was just because I love chicken sandwiches. I've had people be like, what are you eating? And I'm like, a chicken sandwich. They're like, why? And I'm like, they're delicious.

• 8:56Mae Martin?

They're delicious. I love chicken between bread is the way to go.

• 9:00Fortune Feimster?

I don't know if she said that because I'm southern, you know, we like fried chicken.

• 9:04Mae Martin?

  And did she say?

• 9:04Fortune Feimster?

  Sandwiches.

• 9:05Mae Martin?

Did she say a drink as well?

• 9:07Fortune Feimster?

  She did say drink.

• 9:08Mae Martin?

  Oh, my God.

• 9:09Fortune Feimster?

If I could compare you to any drink.

• 9:11Mae Martin?

Okay, this woman is in love with you. She keeps being like, let me compare you to a summer day.

• 9:16Fortune Feimster?

  This was years ago.

• 9:18Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 9:18Fortune Feimster?

  In college.

• 9:19Mae Martin?

  Uh huh.

• 9:20Fortune Feimster?

And she said you would be a Shirley Temple.

• 9:22Mae Martin?

That's true. That is one hundred percent true. Because you, but you look like Shirley Temple.

• 9:28Fortune Feimster?

That thing, that's part of it. Yeah.

• 9:29Mae Martin?

  Okay.

• 9:30Fortune Feimster?

I look like, if you saw a picture of me as a child, I look just like Shirley Temple.

• 9:35Mae Martin?

Oh, oh, my God. Shirley Temple.

• 9:36Fortune Feimster?

Probably didn't have the personality yet that she had. I was, it took me a while to work on that.

• 9:40Mae Martin?

  You were just like, hey.

• 9:42Fortune Feimster?

Hey, do I really have to be in this dress?

• 9:45Mae Martin?

A Shirley Temple and a chicken sandwich.

• 9:47Fortune Feimster?

Lollipop. I'm like, get me out of this dress.

• 9:51Fortune Feimster?

But I had the blonde curls. But yeah, I love Shirley Temples. I don't drink them often. Sprite just came out with a Shirley Temple mix.

• 9:59Mae Martin?

  Really?

• 9:59Fortune Feimster?

  In a can.

• 10:00Mae Martin?

  No way.

• 10:01Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 10:02Mae Martin?

There's a kid on TikTok who goes around reviewing the best Shirley Temples and he's like, this one is great. It's a little, it's tart and a little sweet as well.

• 10:12Fortune Feimster?

I would think that they were pretty similar everywhere, but good for him.

• 10:16Mae Martin?

Every time I have a chicken sandwich now, I'm going to think about you. That is so good.

• 10:20Fortune Feimster?

That's me, bud. What about you?

• 10:22Mae Martin?

Well, I'm open to thoughts, obviously, or in input. Um.

• 10:27Fortune Feimster?

  Let's see.

• 10:28Mae Martin?

I'm tempted to say something cool, but I'm like, the reality is probably like, you know. I don't know, like a sachet of soya sauce and.

• 10:39Fortune Feimster?

You would be something that both men and women like to eat.

• 10:43Mae Martin?

Oh, interesting. And you think a chicken sandwich is more of a gendered food?

• 10:52Fortune Feimster?

Oh, no. The chicken sandwich is just predictable, simple.

• 10:56Mae Martin?

Okay, I think I feel like.

• 11:00Fortune Feimster?

  A beef Wellington?

• 11:02Mae Martin?

Whoa, that was out of left field. I am flattered.

• 11:12Mae Martin?

  Beef Wellington.

• 11:14Fortune Feimster?

I was gonna say. It's like a nice cut of meat, but it's wrapped in a crust. And it also is popular in London.

• 11:25Mae Martin?

Oh, I like that as a logic. Um, I mean, oh, fuck, why am I finding this so hard? I'm like, I'm taking it too seriously. I gotta just take a, take a punt. Uh, well, I'm just thinking about the best combination of foods I've had. Not that I think I'm the best, but the best thing was a, a chicken souvlaki in Greece. That was like in a fresh baguette and it had just been grilled and like nothing on it except lemon and salt and pepper. And then some oregano, they put it in a fresh baguette and then give you a Mythos beer, which is not a good beer, but it's so hot outside and that beer is so cold and it's, and you're in Greece.

• 12:01Fortune Feimster?

  I like all this.

• 12:02Mae Martin?

Yeah, like that's, that's one of my happiest food memories. So I guess that's where I'm going. I want to be that.

• 12:09Fortune Feimster?

That's you out in the Greece sun with your shirt off.

• 12:11Mae Martin?

Yeah. Back in the day, I, I did it. I used, when I look at old family photos, I'm like shirtless until I was like too old to be shirtless.

• 12:22Fortune Feimster?

I did get upset when I played soccer and they would split us up into shirts and skins.

• 12:28Mae Martin?

Oh, that's so, I've never heard that shirts and skins.

• 12:31Fortune Feimster?

So yeah, when you played soccer in order, we didn't have jerseys, like we didn't have different colored jerseys to distinguish who's on what team. So one team would keep their shirts on shirts. And the other team would take their shirts off, skins. And so I would always have to be on the shirts team. Cause as a girl, they told me I had to keep my shirt on and I was like, what? I want to be on that team.

• 12:57Mae Martin?

Well, my buds are on that, but that is kind of.

• 12:59Fortune Feimster?

It wouldn't have been great. They really saved me from myself. Nobody needed me running around.

• 13:05Mae Martin?

But that also sounds like Lord of the Flies to me, just like some of the kids just take their shirts off because they don't have

• 13:11Fortune Feimster?

Eighties, you know, we did everything. We were drinking out of a spigot.

• 13:16Mae Martin?

I mean, I just today, not to, okay, you're gonna, okay, not to talk about my driver Joe again. But I will say

• 13:25Fortune Feimster?

Why would we not, May? Why would we not?

• 13:27Mae Martin?

I said something like about a cast member who's 14. I go, you know, he's 14, this cast member. And Joe goes, hmm, there's always a long pause. And then he goes, when I was 14, when I was 14, I hitchhiked down to Toronto and was picking tobacco at a tobacco farm. And I, I, I made $50 a day. I made enough to buy my own car and drive home. I was like, what is your life?

• 13:49Fortune Feimster?

$50 a day back then. That's pretty good.

• 13:51Mae Martin?

  14, you're picking tobacco?

• 13:54Fortune Feimster?

  Joe's, Joe's lived a life.

• 13:56Mae Martin?

Dude, I haven't even scratched the surface. He worked in a uranium, he worked in a uranium mine for two years.

• 14:03Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, of course he did.

• 14:05Mae Martin?

Yeah. And there are a couple of guys got flat and flat as a pancake, he said.

• 14:08Fortune Feimster?

  And he glows at night.

• 14:09Mae Martin?

  Probably.

• 14:12Fortune Feimster?

He's like, back when I was a sea captain.

• 14:22Mae Martin?

All right. Should we listen to the, oh, I want to hear the answer.

• 14:25Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 14:25Mae Martin?

I wish, maybe she'll tell us who we are, like what we are.

• 14:29Fortune Feimster?

Maybe. Tig would be a salad or some kind of vegetable.

• 14:32Mae Martin?

  She'd be a falafel ball.

• 14:35Speaker 04

A handful of nuts and tap water.

• 14:43Speaker 03

For me, I think that the perfect food and beverage combination that would sort of describe my personality is a corned beef Reuben sandwich with fries and a dirty gin martini. I think that that's just, I'm a little bit dry. I'm a little bit salty. And I just, I just really love those food items. All right. Thanks so much. I love the pod.

• 15:13Fortune Feimster?

I think we're all just naming food and drinks we like.

• 15:16Mae Martin?

I know. It's like, it's also, it's kind of aspirational too. We're saying like what we want to be like, I'm, there's no way I'm a beer and a souvlaki. I'm definitely like. It's a weird little noodle and a, you know.

• 15:30Fortune Feimster?

But that's what I like about this podcast. I would never think of this.

• 15:35Mae Martin?

You know this question? You better believe I'm writing it down.

• 15:37Fortune Feimster?

I'm just sitting around pondering life in this way. So this really pulls it out of me.

• 15:42Mae Martin?

You gotta ask Jax on your next sort of.

• 15:43Fortune Feimster?

  Okay, I will.

• 15:45Mae Martin?

And I want to know what she thinks you would be as well.

• 15:47Fortune Feimster?

Yeah. Oh, that's a good one. Yeah, I'll ask both of those things.

• 15:52Mae Martin?

You better believe I'm gonna be busting these out, these questions.

• 15:54Fortune Feimster?

  Better believe it.

• 15:56Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:57Fortune Feimster?

Shall we listen to another question?

• 15:59Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 15:59Fortune Feimster?

  All right.

• 16:00Speaker 05

Hey handsome pod. My name is Sam. I'm calling in from San Francisco and I'm a huge fan of the podcast. My question is, have you ever had a strange amount of things in common with someone? Similarities that you weren't expecting or didn't see coming or just weird coincidences? Uh, what were the similarities and, and who was the person you had things in common with?

• 16:25Fortune Feimster?

  Hmm.

• 16:26Mae Martin?

  Hmm.

• 16:27Fortune Feimster?

  I've never thought about this.

• 16:29Mae Martin?

Yeah, that's a great question. I mean, I definitely have had the feeling of having known some, like met someone and there's like instant familiarity and. But I don't know if that was because we had specific things in common. It was more just like our souls have met.

• 16:45Fortune Feimster?

  Uh huh.

• 16:46Mae Martin?

  You know what I mean?

• 16:47Fortune Feimster?

  Absolutely.

• 16:48Mae Martin?

I am, I'm working right now with someone who, and, cause I've, I've been working in England for 12 years and then in LA. And this is the first time I've worked in Canada in a long time. And my, my co-star is my exact same age and from Toronto. So there's a real reference. Like very niche references. Like we're like, remember the Royal Winter Fair where Kiwanis would go and tour and then you could. Yeah. And it's really niche and fun.

• 17:16Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, that's cool.

• 17:18Mae Martin?

Or the other day, there was this guy on the, one of the grips, he's like, I was like, have I met you before? He's like, Dan. I was like, Dan what? He's like, Dan Stanit. I was like, Dan Stanit. Yeah, I've just partied. I was like, oh, I know you.

• 17:30Fortune Feimster?

  That's hilarious.

• 17:31Mae Martin?

Tons of the same parties. Yeah.

• 17:33Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah.

• 17:33Mae Martin?

It's a small town, even though it's a big city.

• 17:36Fortune Feimster?

  I bet.

• 17:37Mae Martin?

Things in common. Cause are you and, you and Jax are kind of like opposites attract almost, right?

• 17:43Fortune Feimster?

  Well, it's funny.

• 17:44Mae Martin?

  Same values, but.

• 17:44Fortune Feimster?

I was just thinking that, like, we are opposite in a number of ways. I'm definitely like more go with the flow and chill and she's a little bit more rigid. But we both are the, we're the same age, so we have a lot of reference points that line up and our morals are very similar. Families like, you know, grew up Methodist and um, just have similar like family stories. Uh, and so she and I always want to spend time the same way. We're very simpatico with like what we think is fun and what we don't think is fun.

• 18:25Fortune Feimster?

And how we want to pass the time, like that lines up super well, like really, really well in a way I've not experienced with anybody else.

• 18:34Mae Martin?

  I love that. That's crucial.

• 18:36Fortune Feimster?

But, you know, am I leaving crumbs in places that she's, that's making her head explode? Yes.

• 18:43Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 18:44Fortune Feimster?

She like, get a plate. Why are you eating that cheese? Just willy nilly across the room.

• 18:51Mae Martin?

  Crumbling as you go.

• 18:53Fortune Feimster?

Let me live. Let me live. You know what I mean?

• 18:58Mae Martin?

I wonder if you guys knew each other in another life, though, and made a soul contract?

• 19:03Fortune Feimster?

  I don't know.

• 19:04Mae Martin?

I just talk, I talk about these things as if.

• 19:06Fortune Feimster?

  Felt like strangers.

• 19:07Mae Martin?

Like they're accepted fact. Uh, did you make a soul contract? Like, it's just some.

• 19:11Fortune Feimster?

I will see you in the next life, milady.

• 19:14Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 19:15Fortune Feimster?

That's what she said to me.

• 19:16Mae Martin?

Yeah, cause you were in Elizabethan England and you were like.

• 19:19Fortune Feimster?

  Milady?

• 19:20Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 19:22Fortune Feimster?

But I know I've had friends in my lifetime that are like, we just laugh at similar things, like our senses of humor are very simpatico and what we, the dark things we think that are the same, like you can like, you know, those friends that you can just like say things and you know they're, they're gonna take it the exact way you're meaning for it to be taken.

• 19:46Mae Martin?

  Yes, yes.

• 19:48Fortune Feimster?

I have a couple of friends like that and I love that.

• 19:51Mae Martin?

Yeah, me too. The ones where you become a weirder version of yourself around them, like a, like a really unleashed version.

• 19:59Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, like I know my friend's going through this thing and I can say this thing to her in regards to that and she, anybody else would be horrified. She's gonna think it's hysterical.

• 20:09Mae Martin?

Oh, completely. Yeah, yeah. My friend, Jo, who wrote, uh, Feel Good With Me, we're like, we're like that, like, and it became almost a game of who could be more offensive and like, it, it's really fun to have that outlet sometimes.

• 20:23Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, just the, yeah, just the like silly, ridiculous versions of yourself with people.

• 20:31Mae Martin?

Yeah, also people you could, I, this is controversial, but like a friend who you can fart in front of and that is a punchline to things. That's, I've never had that before and Jo was my first friend.

• 20:42Fortune Feimster?

  Your fart friend.

• 20:43Mae Martin?

Fart friend and it was such a release because I never farted around partners or anything. It was a real release. I had gas I'd been storing up for decades. Yeah.

• 20:54Fortune Feimster?

I love it. Let's hear what our fart friend had to say.

• 20:57Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 20:58Speaker 05

So my answer is actually nay, uh, which is why I wanted to ask this question. Um, other than the gender presentation and sexuality parallels that are so cool to see represented in media for what feels like the first time. Uh, Feel Good is one of my absolute favorite shows and probably always will be.

• 21:16Mae Martin?

  Amazing.

• 21:17Speaker 05

Three things, the three weird parallels that make me laugh is, one, we're both allergic to coconut, very particular allergy. Two, my middle name is May, M A E. And three, I am also a full grown adult who cannot drive, never got my license.

• 21:33Fortune Feimster?

  Y'all are twins.

• 21:35Speaker 05

Fun little similarities with my, one of my heroes. I love all of y'all. Funny as hell. Keep it up.

• 21:40Fortune Feimster?

  Oh, I love that.

• 21:42Mae Martin?

  Sam.

• 21:43Fortune Feimster?

  Uh.

• 21:43Mae Martin?

  Sam May.

• 21:45Fortune Feimster?

  Zing.

• 21:46Mae Martin?

That's so cool. The coconut allergy is just so validating for me whenever anyone has it because people doubt that it's real. And when, yeah, so Sam, I feel you. I'm your comrade.

• 21:57Fortune Feimster?

I see you. I hear you.

• 21:58Mae Martin?

  I see you.

• 22:00Fortune Feimster?

I miss you from the time we were in the womb together.

• 22:03Mae Martin?

I miss you from old and timey England where we made the sole contract.

• 22:07Fortune Feimster?

That's what you said to Sam.

• 22:09Mae Martin?

And we were like, well, we'll see.

• 22:11Fortune Feimster?

  My lady.

• 22:12Mae Martin?

Yeah. What was the other thing Sam said? Oh, can't drive. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like that they can't drive. I don't think we should ever learn, Sam.

• 22:21Fortune Feimster?

  Yeah, don't do it.

• 22:22Mae Martin?

Well, thank you so much and for saying those nice things as well. Thank you to everybody who sent in a question.

• 22:29Fortune Feimster?

What a treat to, um, answer these questions, May.

• 22:33Mae Martin?

Like a Shirley Temple and a chicken sandwich.

• 22:36Fortune Feimster?

I have been thinking since that question that maybe I am more like chocolate chip cookies and milk.

• 22:43Mae Martin?

For some reason, when I picture it, it's in the nineties. It's Christmas Eve and it's a crisp, cold glass of milk. Yeah.

• 22:50Fortune Feimster?

And you get presents as a result of them.

• 22:54Mae Martin?

  Yeah.

• 22:56Fortune Feimster?

Although not, the only thing about the milk.

• 23:00Mae Martin?

  I know.

• 23:00Fortune Feimster?

Is that not as many people are drinking milk right now.

• 23:03Mae Martin?

This is, I'm glad you brought this up.

• 23:05Fortune Feimster?

I don't want to be like, only a couple of people like to drink me.

• 23:08Mae Martin?

Yeah, maybe we could add a clause that's like, oh, Santa Claus, am I right? Uh, that's like, uh, it could be almond milk or, um, like if Tig is gonna have to be an almond milk for Tig, right?

• 23:20Fortune Feimster?

Right, right. Or a milk in the eighties when everyone loved it and they.

• 23:25Mae Martin?

That's, maybe that's why I wanted it to be the nineties because it was Got Milk.

• 23:28Fortune Feimster?

Yeah, yeah, I got milk. Big time milk drinkers back then. It was, milk was so popular that they would put the faces of missing children on the cartons because they knew so many people would have this carton of milk in their kitchen and it was. A way to spread the word. That's how many people drink milk.

• 23:50Mae Martin?

Isn't that crazy? And it would, and they'd give it to you at school for lunch. They'd give it to you everywhere. And they had a thing in Canada where if you, you knew, they said that some milk cartons and you opened it, it would go moo. And so, but there was actual recording devices in there. And if you did it, you won like, I don't know, a hundred grand or something. If you found the one and moo. So everyone's like shaking their milk and trying to find the one.

• 24:14Fortune Feimster?

Oh my God. Never heard of such a thing, but that would get people to drink milk for sure. So.

• 24:21Mae Martin?
