Whenever fall comes back around, it always feels like a fresh start. This year, I've been layering in some styles from the new Lululemon fall drop, because the weather is shifting and I find I have to be ready for the entire day and not just one part of it. Lululemon's fall line has some really versatile transitional pieces, so I can just wake up, throw on a matching set, add a jacket or a fleece, and head out, knowing that I'll feel comfortable enough to go wherever the day takes me. Check out the new fall arrivals in store and online now at lululemon.com.

• 1:07Brooke Averick?

This is gonna be a doozy. You're sick?

• 1:13Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:13Brooke Averick?

  Actually?

• 1:14Connor Wood?

  I'm always sick.

• 1:15Brooke Averick?

Yeah. I've been sick for like a week and a half now.

• 1:19Connor Wood?

Let's like not start the episode with us like falling apart.

• 1:22Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 1:24Connor Wood?

  Or do you want to?

• 1:25Brooke Averick?

I think that's fine. Like, I feel like everyone's kind of in the same boat.

• 1:44Brooke Averick?

I sound really, I will sound really bad this episode and I'm very sorry.

• 1:49Connor Wood?

You just sound like you're about to cry.

• 1:51Brooke Averick?

I'm sorry. I'm really stuffy, but thankfully Evan and Ryan teamed together to make me this soup.

• 1:56Connor Wood?

  That's awesome.

• 1:57Brooke Averick?

So I might be sipping on my mug soup.

• 2:00Connor Wood?

  Mug soup.

• 2:01Brooke Averick?

  Mug soup.

• 2:05Connor Wood?

You heard the girl. I I had mug soup this week too.

• 2:11Connor Wood?

  It was just to go.

• 2:11Brooke Averick?

Did you? I prefer mug soup. I got, don't tell you about my powdered miso soup from TikTok shop.

• 2:16Connor Wood?

  Hold up.

• 2:18Connor Wood?

I had miso soup in a, in a to-go coffee cup like this.

• 2:21Brooke Averick?

  Oh, that's fine too.

• 2:22Connor Wood?

When I ordered it to go and I was like, this is how soup, this is the best method of consuming soup on the go.

• 2:27Brooke Averick?

I love it in a mug.

• 2:28Connor Wood?

  But.

• 2:28Brooke Averick?

And a home mug as well.

• 2:30Connor Wood?

I was looking around, I was like, nobody knows I'm sipping on some miso.

• 2:34Brooke Averick?

The only problem is like getting the accoutrements.

• 2:38Connor Wood?

  No.

• 2:38Brooke Averick?

  Like, I want the tofu.

• 2:39Connor Wood?

Yeah, but, oh, the tofu, that's tough.

• 2:41Brooke Averick?

It's hard. And then at the end, it's just a huge glob of seaweed and it's like, I don't want to eat the whole lob.

• 2:47Connor Wood?

It will come through the hole if you suck.

• 2:50Brooke Averick?

  If you suck hard enough.

• 2:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 2:52Brooke Averick?

Well, I do it in just like a mug at home.

• 2:55Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 2:55Brooke Averick?

It's like more of like a, it's like I would have to like open my mouth like and pour, like knock it back.

• 3:01Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 3:03Brooke Averick?

  Knock them back.

• 3:04Connor Wood?

  Oh, yeah.

• 3:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 3:07Brooke Averick?

  So mean, my powdered miso.

• 3:09Connor Wood?

Yeah, I haven't ordered any food from TikTok shop yet.

• 3:12Brooke Averick?

  Ooh, maybe soon.

• 3:14Connor Wood?

Maybe soon. Then I'll do all my grocery shopping on TikTok shop.

• 3:17Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Oh, my God. I mean, that is my home.

• 3:19Connor Wood?

I might get like six, seven bananas.

• 3:23Brooke Averick?

Not on, not on this pod.

• 3:25Connor Wood?

Speaking of, speaking of the devil, I got these bananas from Target and there's something about Target produce that it's like, is this a prop? I had that banana and it made my tongue taste bad.

• 3:38Connor Wood?

  You know?

• 3:39Brooke Averick?

Bananas always make my tongue taste bad.

• 3:40Connor Wood?

No, but sometimes, you know how all the strings that come off bananas, it's like.

• 3:44Brooke Averick?

  Oh, banana strings?

• 3:45Connor Wood?

  Banana strings.

• 3:46Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 3:46Connor Wood?

And then, and then like the, the nub at the beginning and the end.

• 3:50Brooke Averick?

Yeah, sometimes it's like hard in an edible way.

• 3:53Connor Wood?

Yeah, it's just like, we have, we've, we've, we've done so much as a people. We can't remove the banana nub and the strings, the strings, the strings.

• 4:05Brooke Averick?

I feel like the strings are generally on a more unripe banana.

• 4:10Connor Wood?

  I think all bananas.

• 4:11Brooke Averick?

  Or all too.

• 4:12Connor Wood?

  I've had a very.

• 4:13Brooke Averick?

  I guess they're just harder.

• 4:14Connor Wood?

Delicious banana that I have to untie, you know, from its strings. Take its little.

• 4:19Brooke Averick?

What do you think the evolutionary purpose of the banana strings are? Are they kind of like nose hairs, like protecting the banana?

• 4:25Connor Wood?

But it's from the inside of the peel.

• 4:27Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that's so true.

• 4:28Connor Wood?

I guess our last Google of 2025, why do bananas have hairs?

• 4:32Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I want to say hairs.

• 4:34Connor Wood?

They're foul, right? You know, like it's like when you're eating lobster and then you get to the poop sack and it's like.

• 4:39Brooke Averick?

You think the banana strings are the poop sack of the banana?

• 4:43Connor Wood?

Those strings of bananas are called.

• 4:45Brooke Averick?

  Oh, it's the.

• 4:45Connor Wood?

Flome bundles. The flome bundles, which acts as the plant's plumbing system.

• 4:50Brooke Averick?

  You were right.

• 4:51Connor Wood?

  They're the poop sack.

• 4:52Brooke Averick?

  It is the shrimp strings.

• 4:55Connor Wood?

  Whoa, it's completely.

• 4:56Brooke Averick?

Transporting water, nutrients and sugars from the leaves to the fruit as it grows, making them edible nutritious.

• 5:03Brooke Averick?

We would not have bananas without the flome bundles, so.

• 5:08Connor Wood?

So I guess we'll take this time to thank, thank, to say thank you, flome bundles for all that you've done.

• 5:14Brooke Averick?

Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah to flome bundles only.

• 5:23Brooke Averick?

Lord help me, I'm really serious.

• 5:27Connor Wood?

If you're not flome, if you're not flome bundles, keep scrolling. Hey, what are you doing? Yeah, no, today's gonna suck in a huge way.

• 5:37Brooke Averick?

No, it's not. It's already been so amazing.

• 5:41Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, we've been in the studio for about two hours.

• 5:44Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it took us about 48 minutes to get through the ads.

• 5:47Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 5:48Brooke Averick?

  I had started choking.

• 5:49Connor Wood?

She choked and a literal since I was doing the Heimlich on her.

• 5:52Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, so.

• 5:53Connor Wood?

  We were whipping her.

• 5:54Brooke Averick?

Make sure to watch those ads.

• 5:56Connor Wood?

Yeah, watch those ads. I'm assuming the one where I was performing the Heimlich wrong on Brooks from behind will probably not make the cut.

• 6:04Brooke Averick?

  You don't think?

• 6:05Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 6:06Brooke Averick?

Well, you were still reading the ad, so it might have to make the cut.

• 6:11Connor Wood?

You can't like, the show must go on, you know?

• 6:16Connor Wood?

  We have to. Go ahead.

• 6:17Brooke Averick?

I was about to start singing, so I stopped myself.

• 6:21Connor Wood?

Yeah, wait. So it is gonna be, so this is, um, I know like, everyone's like, no way. That's crazy, cuz you guys seem like so up and at 'em today. This is our last episode. Before, before the holiday break. Christmas and New Years and Hanukkah and all that jazz. Um, so, this is our legacy episode.

• 6:43Connor Wood?

  This is what was-

• 6:44Brooke Averick?

  Happy Hanukkah!

• 6:44Connor Wood?

  Happy Hanukkah.

• 6:45Brooke Averick?

Also, flagging that I said that you light the menorah from right to left last week, and I do know it's left to right. Thank you.

• 6:53Connor Wood?

  Like reading.

• 6:54Brooke Averick?

Wait. Actually genuinely, might not know. What did I say? Left to right? It's right to left.

• 7:04Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 7:04Brooke Averick?

It's right to left. Izzy, what is it, though? Like, if it wasn't right to left? What would it be, for example? It's, what I had said earlier-

• 7:14Connor Wood?

  Reading.

• 7:15Brooke Averick?

You light the menorah from left to right, but you place the candles from right to left as you add them each night.

• 7:22Brooke Averick?

  Okay, that's why I'm confused.

• 7:24Connor Wood?

What, you light it from here and then you put it on the end?

• 7:27Brooke Averick?

So like, depending on what day it is, you would put the candles in, like, from right to left, and then if it's the fourth day, you start lighting on the fourth.

• 7:36Connor Wood?

  Oh, I see, okay.

• 7:37Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 7:38Connor Wood?

  What day are we on?

• 7:42Brooke Averick?

Sunday night was the first night.

• 7:43Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I knew that.

• 7:44Brooke Averick?

Now, then it was Monday night.

• 7:45Connor Wood?

  So it's day three.

• 7:45Brooke Averick?

And now, tonight will be the third night.

• 7:48Connor Wood?

And by the time this comes out, it'll be day five.

• 7:52Brooke Averick?

All the things she said, all the things she said running through my head.

• 7:56Brooke Averick?

That song, I'm glad you asked, was from the last episode of Heated Rivalry. The final scene. This show, Connor?

• 8:06Brooke Averick?

  I think this is what-

• 8:07Connor Wood?

I started it, I have thoughts.

• 8:08Brooke Averick?

  Did you?

• 8:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:09Brooke Averick?

  How far did you get?

• 8:10Connor Wood?

I'm in the first episode still.

• 8:12Brooke Averick?

  What's happening?

• 8:14Connor Wood?

Well, I'd like to say, and like, this is gonna be, I mean, it's porn, so... It's crazy that I've-

• 8:22Brooke Averick?

  With a lot of characters.

• 8:23Connor Wood?

I've seen actual porn with more, more of a storyline, that, like, that lead up than-

• 8:29Brooke Averick?

It's not about the storyline, it's about the characters' growth and emotions, like-

• 8:34Connor Wood?

I, I'm, they were growing immensely, almost right when the show started.

• 8:39Brooke Averick?

  Is that not amazing?

• 8:39Connor Wood?

They were growing, you know, they were-

• 8:43Connor Wood?

  Girth Master.

• 8:44Brooke Averick?

  It is about their journeys.

• 8:45Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 8:47Brooke Averick?

  This show, I imagine-

• 8:48Connor Wood?

You finished the whole show though, right?

• 8:50Brooke Averick?

  And the book, thank you.

• 8:51Connor Wood?

You finished the book and the show so quick?

• 8:53Brooke Averick?

Well, the show's not, the show's only on episode four. There will be seven episodes. This is what I guess you guys felt when you were watching The Summer I Turned Pretty. But I imagine, I feel that. Double it, add nitrous. Explode the code.

• 9:09Connor Wood?

I want to say really quickly, I don't know if anybody, anybody recalls an older episode where I was trying to find something that we could, and a shared interest that we could have together, that like a niche interest that maybe like happens a lot, you know, like a sport, and we, we don't care about baseball, you know, like football, whatever. I was like, what if we got into hockey? And you were like, I am not interested in hockey. You weren't interested in hockey because it wasn't gay yet.

• 9:32Brooke Averick?

It wasn't gay yet. I want to go to a hockey game. Hand on my chest, to God.

• 9:41Connor Wood?

He did rivalry did for hockey what Taylor Swift did for the NFL.

• 9:47Brooke Averick?

  I, I, I, I haven't felt this way since Kurt and Blaine.

• 9:52Connor Wood?

  What's that?

• 9:52Brooke Averick?

And I felt a lot. Kurt and Blaine were the original Glee couple that like sent me into my fanfiction era.

• 9:59Connor Wood?

I thought you said Kurt Cobain.

• 10:00Brooke Averick?

No, Kurt and Blaine. And I just like can't believe it took me so long, like if that was my blueprint, like why did it take me this long? I'm just like annoyed at myself, but like this, I mean, these boys, Ilya and Shane, they mean everything to me and more. I'm so serious, they, they are my family and I'm like developing like a pretty tier one crush on Hudson Williams, who plays Shane.

• 10:27Connor Wood?

  Like the actual person?

• 10:28Brooke Averick?

  The actual person.

• 10:28Connor Wood?

  Not the character?

• 10:29Brooke Averick?

  Both, both.

• 10:31Connor Wood?

  Both of them?

• 10:32Brooke Averick?

Yeah. That's all, that is always the most dangerous type of crush when you're in love with the character and the actor. I love him. So much. He looks like somebody?

• 10:43Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 10:43Brooke Averick?

I actually feel like he doesn't. Like I feel like he's totally a new look. New look, new look.

• 10:52Brooke Averick?

And he literally, like, if you read the book, like, it's like the author, like, wrote him into existence. Like Shane is described exactly the way he looks. It's insane.

• 11:03Brooke Averick?

  Hi, my boys.

• 11:05Connor Wood?

Good for them. This is so.

• 11:06Brooke Averick?

  Hi, my loveies.

• 11:09Brooke Averick?

I love them so much. They are really, like,

• 11:12Brooke Averick?

and I love the way they are in interviews. Like, we do not see men interacting like this. Like, they're best friends. They are best friends, and they're not afraid to show up physically. It's the most amazing thing.

• 11:25Brooke Averick?

  I love them so much.

• 11:28Connor Wood?

There's so many shows that are getting renewed, like, before, like, I think, I love L.A. got renewed.

• 11:32Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 11:34Connor Wood?

On episode before, even if episode four was out. They have to renew this, right?

• 11:39Brooke Averick?

  It's renewed.

• 11:40Connor Wood?

  Oh, it's renewed?

• 11:40Brooke Averick?

  Oh, god, yes, Connor.

• 11:42Connor Wood?

  I didn't see that.

• 11:43Brooke Averick?

There is a scene coming up, and this is, like, not like a plot spoiler. It is something that happens in the book, so I guess it's a spoiler, but it's not like giving away anything, but plug your ears if you don't want to hear this for the next 30 seconds. There's a scene in the book where Shane gets hurt, and he crumples down to the ice, probably goes unconscious for a second.

• 12:05Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 12:05Brooke Averick?

Paramedics come out. Ilya pushing, pushing through the paramedics to get to Shane. Thank you. I can't, I can't wait to see that. I'm gonna freak out. I'm gonna freak out. That's like my, like, one bed at the motel is going down on the ice, pushing through the paramedics to get to your man.

• 12:25Connor Wood?

Only one bed at the motel.

• 12:26Brooke Averick?

Like, that's my favorite thing in, like, a book, when it's like the two characters checking into a hotel, and it's like, sorry, there's only one bed. Guess you'll have to figure it out.

• 12:34Connor Wood?

  I see.

• 12:35Brooke Averick?

And this is my new favorite thing, is like, one man down on the ice, the other man fighting through the paramedics. I'm looking forward to seeing that play out on my TV, hopefully in episode six, maybe.

• 12:47Connor Wood?

So there's only four episodes out right now and you feel this way about this?

• 12:51Brooke Averick?

Very deeply, but I finished the book now, so I know what's gonna happen.

• 12:55Connor Wood?

Okay. I'm really happy for you.

• 12:57Brooke Averick?

Thank you. I haven't been obsessed with something in so long. It feels so right.

• 13:02Connor Wood?

I do. Do you feel like this is another perfect example of like, how come I didn't? This is like a show that just like everyone's on on episode four of and I didn't know it was happening? I guess this one I could have caught up pretty easily because there's only four episodes out.

• 13:13Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:15Brooke Averick?

  You should watch.

• 13:16Connor Wood?

I will. I'm in a hotel that only has, it has Discovery Channel, so I'm learning a lot about World War II.

• 13:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 13:23Connor Wood?

And it has that Bravo show about all the people on the boat.

• 13:26Brooke Averick?

  Below Deck?

• 13:28Connor Wood?

  Below Deck.

• 13:29Brooke Averick?

  Below Deck?

• 13:29Connor Wood?

  Below Deck.

• 13:33Connor Wood?

Yeah, and then basically Friends and that's it. Which is fine.

• 13:39Brooke Averick?

It is like hotel TV is meant to be hotel TV. I wouldn't want them to change it.

• 13:44Connor Wood?

I do a little bit because they, they need to have Netflix and stuff on hotel TVs. I shouldn't be, because.

• 13:50Brooke Averick?

  They do.

• 13:52Connor Wood?

I don't know how to work the TV.

• 13:53Brooke Averick?

  Well, that's your problem.

• 13:56Connor Wood?

  Oh, Jesus Christ.

• 13:58Brooke Averick?

I'm sorry. That came out harsher than I intended.

• 14:00Connor Wood?

It's okay. You got, you got one scoop of your mug soup to calm down.

• 14:04Brooke Averick?

I just said, I'm just saying they do have Netflix, so I can tell you more about heated rivalry than that's all I can do.

• 14:10Connor Wood?

Oh, no, that's not good, though.

• 14:12Brooke Averick?

It's not good. It's all the only thing in my brain is. Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane. Oh, yeah, Shane, Shane, oh, yeah, Shane, Shane. I ordered a pillow.

• 14:21Connor Wood?

  What kind of pillow?

• 14:22Brooke Averick?

  It's just Shane.

• 14:23Connor Wood?

  Is it life size?

• 14:25Brooke Averick?

  I got the 20 by 20.

• 14:27Connor Wood?

12, 24. So it's less than two feet.

• 14:30Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's a little pillow that I will hold. I got it from TikTok Shop. I got Tristan one and I got Megan one.

• 14:36Connor Wood?

You, you're like shopping on TikTok Shop now is what it sounds like.

• 14:40Brooke Averick?

  I'm shopping on.

• 14:40Connor Wood?

You keep sliding in the fact that you're buying all of your goods.

• 14:43Brooke Averick?

  That's probably not good.

• 14:45Connor Wood?

Your goods and wares from TikTok Shop.

• 14:47Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's probably, I'm not seeing my pillow up. Represented up there.

• 14:51Connor Wood?

Can you like, can you like actively go on to TikTok Shop and be like, I need this and like search for stuff?

• 14:57Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 14:57Connor Wood?

  Oh, my God.

• 14:58Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's, it's the end of the world as we know it.

• 15:02Brooke Averick?

Eee, that's my pillow. I don't think I got shirtless, Shane.

• 15:07Brooke Averick?

I wanted that one, but it came out after I had already purchased mine.

• 15:11Connor Wood?

  Is that AI?

• 15:12Brooke Averick?

Yeah, it's gotta be. But I didn't get that one.

• 15:19Brooke Averick?

I like the size of that one.

• 15:25Brooke Averick?

I got that, he's in the jersey. Yeah.

• 15:31Brooke Averick?

I got that pillow. I also, I asked for the matching blanket for Hanukkah.

• 15:36Connor Wood?

  From who?

• 15:37Brooke Averick?

From my friends from home. We do a secret snow person.

• 15:41Connor Wood?

  Secret snow person?

• 15:42Brooke Averick?

Yeah, snow individual. So I asked for the heated rivalry blanket.

• 15:48Connor Wood?

You asked for a gift for secret snow individual?

• 15:52Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 15:53Connor Wood?

  I don't, that's not how it works.

• 15:54Brooke Averick?

It is. You can put like, this is what I want, like on the website where you draw your names.

• 15:59Connor Wood?

Oh, that's like Candace, that's... You gotta...

• 16:03Brooke Averick?

I would want like... The thing is, nothing's gonna make me happier than the heated rivalry fleece blanket.

• 16:09Connor Wood?

I think an aura frame would make me happier. You can preload them.

• 16:18Connor Wood?

No, like I like that secret snow individual. I think you could do snow. I know, I get, I get what you're saying with snow individual. But I...

• 16:26Brooke Averick?

Well, you know, my, my very progressive school, it started a secret snowman and then it just like gradually devolved over the years. Cause we did a school-wide one. Oh, it started a secret Santa. Then devolved to secret snow man, then devolved to secret snow person. And then kind of everyone was just making fun of it and calling it like secret snow individual, secret snow entity, like...

• 16:48Connor Wood?

  That sounds scary.

• 16:49Brooke Averick?

And then, so that's what we call it. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Who gives a fuck?

• 16:54Connor Wood?

I don't really understand why Santa was ever an issue in your progressive school.

• 16:58Brooke Averick?

  Cause not everyone celebrates Christmas.

• 16:59Connor Wood?

He's not Jesus. It's not, Santa is not religious.

• 17:03Brooke Averick?

I know, but like they're like obsessed with including everyone. So like if you don't observe a holiday that includes Santa.

• 17:11Connor Wood?

That would just make you anti-capitalist, I think. I just, I think that...

• 17:15Brooke Averick?

I get not doing Secret Santa. I think we're Secret Snowman. I'm like, that's fine, baby.

• 17:21Connor Wood?

Secret Snowman is good, but it's...

• 17:22Brooke Averick?

  It's a secret snow person.

• 17:24Connor Wood?

  Yeah, a snow person.

• 17:25Brooke Averick?

Yeah. So it was three years of changes as the years went on.

• 17:30Connor Wood?

  Imagine that meeting.

• 17:32Brooke Averick?

  That would be hard.

• 17:34Connor Wood?

That would be an email, in a meeting that could have been an email. Hey, we're not...

• 17:38Brooke Averick?

No, but the thing is, not where I went to school. They were probably there till midnight talking about it.

• 17:44Connor Wood?

What are we gonna do about Secret Snow?

• 17:46Brooke Averick?

Talking about Secret Snow Individual? Yeah.

• 17:50Connor Wood?

Like, you guys at that point, you just made up a new, like, Garrett, secret Garrett. Like, just name it, name it something.

• 17:57Brooke Averick?

  Where'd you get Garrett?

• 17:57Connor Wood?

I don't know. I was looking at that stuff.

• 17:59Brooke Averick?

It is time for the annual Garrett.

• 18:01Connor Wood?

  Okay, I am, I am...

• 18:03Brooke Averick?

You were looking at stuff. What were you looking at that made you say Garrett?

• 18:06Connor Wood?

That, like, stuffed monkey over there in the corner.

• 18:08Brooke Averick?

  That's Garrett to you?

• 18:09Connor Wood?

  To me, that's Garrett.

• 18:13Connor Wood?

Okay, um, who'd you get as your secret Garrett?

• 18:18Brooke Averick?

Who did I get? I don't know. It was like random people, because our school was so small, it was just like anyone in the school. So I don't think I knew them each year. I think I just got them like, probably like a candle or some shit.

• 18:28Connor Wood?

Yeah, okay. But now, as an adult, you say, I'm good, I want this, just someone needs to buy me this?

• 18:34Brooke Averick?

  But...

• 18:35Connor Wood?

  There's no magic in that.

• 18:37Brooke Averick?

  You know Lindsay?

• 18:37Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 18:38Brooke Averick?

Lindsay was in love with one of our teachers, and so made it her mission to find whoever drew our teacher through the school-wide Secret Santa, managed to trade with them, secret Garrett, managed to trade with them, and sent the teacher on like a week-long scavenger hunt. Like, it was pretty romantic. That ended with her finding the gift that was extremely personalized and handmade. Can't stress enough, Lindsay never had a class with this teacher.

• 19:08Connor Wood?

Just from, just from sight alone?

• 19:11Brooke Averick?

  Sight and aura.

• 19:13Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 19:15Speaker 00

• 20:16Connor Wood?

There's something that you guys all had in the water at whatever school you went to that made you all very, very unique.

• 20:21Brooke Averick?

  Totally.

• 20:22Connor Wood?

Like your actual, your actual experiences day to day.

• 20:26Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 20:28Connor Wood?

Like you've created your reality, sure, but they shaped it.

• 20:31Brooke Averick?

They shaped it. I really am very lucky that, yeah, that I grew up there because I'm scared to think what I would be like if I didn't because they really embraced. You know, they let me carry around my trash can for a few years.

• 20:44Connor Wood?

There was one girl like you at my school.

• 20:46Brooke Averick?

  Really? Whatever happened to her?

• 20:48Connor Wood?

I don't know what happened to her. But there was like a group of boys that would pull their eyelashes out and put all their eyelashes on her desk like every day.

• 20:56Brooke Averick?

And when you said she was like me, like what was her thing?

• 20:59Connor Wood?

  Who's different?

• 20:59Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, in what way?

• 21:01Connor Wood?

Like, she was not, she stepped out in the hallway if we were watching anything that.

• 21:09Connor Wood?

  Was like.

• 21:11Brooke Averick?

  She was sensitive?

• 21:12Connor Wood?

No, she was like, I'm, uh, she was like the only progressive person like at my, and it was like elementary and I was like middle school or something. But I remember she had to step out like all the time because it didn't align with her something.

• 21:25Brooke Averick?

  Her belief system?

• 21:26Connor Wood?

  And, yeah.

• 21:26Brooke Averick?

  I wasn't stepping out.

• 21:28Connor Wood?

Well, it was like real, yeah, I guess. I don't know what we were watching that she had to actually step out.

• 21:34Brooke Averick?

I would say I wasn't stepping out. I was having additional help come in.

• 21:39Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 21:41Connor Wood?

She, but I'm, I just started thinking about her because of the eyelashes thing. And I remember she got upset about all those.

• 21:48Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I wouldn't like it if boys were picking out their eyelashes and throwing them at me either.

• 21:51Connor Wood?

I don't have enough to pick out, so I didn't participate.

• 21:54Brooke Averick?

Would you have if you had, being honest?

• 21:55Connor Wood?

I was looking for community back then, so I.

• 21:58Brooke Averick?

  I know you would have.

• 21:59Connor Wood?

Well, I was in the gifted and talented program.

• 22:00Brooke Averick?

  I believe that.

• 22:01Connor Wood?

Which we figured out later on gifted and talented, growing up means like you're neurodivergent, I think.

• 22:10Brooke Averick?

  I don't think in Texas.

• 22:11Connor Wood?

It wasn't smarter. No, no, it was like I, I had to take my tests in a different room because I was like,

• 22:20Connor Wood?

  I couldn't focus.

• 22:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, you had ADHD.

• 22:22Connor Wood?

Yeah, but they had us on like a very special little room. It was like 15 of us.

• 22:28Brooke Averick?

It's cool. It was cool being a teacher when I was teaching in second grade and seeing the behind the scenes of all the like groupings. You know? And like the logic behind it, like of making the reading groups.

• 22:41Connor Wood?

Were they putting like some heavy hitters in with like some bozos?

• 22:45Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 22:46Connor Wood?

  Whoa, they were putting all.

• 22:47Brooke Averick?

They really were like it was grouping by skill level.

• 22:49Connor Wood?

Like moron group, like smarty pants?

• 22:52Brooke Averick?

I wouldn't have called it that.

• 22:53Connor Wood?

  Right.

• 22:53Brooke Averick?

  But yeah.

• 22:55Connor Wood?

  Oh my.

• 22:55Brooke Averick?

Just so, because it's like, how else are you gonna like,

• 22:59Brooke Averick?

teach? You know, you can't teach to like 10 different kids at varying skill levels at the same time.

• 23:05Connor Wood?

  I would delegate.

• 23:05Brooke Averick?

  In small groups.

• 23:06Connor Wood?

I would delegate some of the teaching to the smarter kids. So that I didn't have to do that much, but I guess it makes sense that, that they're not there to teach.

• 23:16Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, they're not.

• 23:17Connor Wood?

I certainly was not there to teach. I talked about that one time in class that haunts me to this day where I just had like,

• 23:25Connor Wood?

I was supposed to have my bears in the cave and I clapped. I know we're supposed to be very quiet.

• 23:31Brooke Averick?

  I did that once too.

• 23:33Connor Wood?

  It's really scary.

• 23:33Brooke Averick?

  I screamed.

• 23:35Connor Wood?

  It's a really.

• 23:35Brooke Averick?

I thought someone said scream as loud as you can.

• 23:38Connor Wood?

I, I just remember being like, imagine if it's so quiet. Like imagine if you clapped. I clapped, they grabbed my shoulder and I went right to in-school suspension.

• 23:47Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 23:47Connor Wood?

  Yep.

• 23:48Brooke Averick?

I remember we were doing freeze dance and I know, I swear the teacher said, when you freeze, scream as loud as you can.

• 23:57Brooke Averick?

So I froze and screamed at the top of my lungs and no one else screamed. So I had heard that like a phantom whisper.

• 24:03Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 24:04Brooke Averick?

And then everyone was like, what happened?

• 24:09Connor Wood?

  Get her out of here.

• 24:10Brooke Averick?

No, I didn't get in trouble, of course, but I screamed as loud as I could.

• 24:17Connor Wood?

What are you, what are you, what else are you supposed to do in that situation?

• 24:23Brooke Averick?

  One time, no.

• 24:25Connor Wood?

I want to hear it, please.

• 24:27Brooke Averick?

  Cause we're too gross.

• 24:29Connor Wood?

What could it be that we haven't already touched on?

• 24:33Brooke Averick?

It is, it is poop forward and I just.

• 24:36Connor Wood?

  Forward?

• 24:37Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 24:40Connor Wood?

  It's giving notes of poop.

• 24:41Brooke Averick?

And I just don't want to.

• 24:43Connor Wood?

I think you, I think you can touch on it very quickly and I can fill in the blanks.

• 24:47Brooke Averick?

  There's no story.

• 24:51Brooke Averick?

I was just thinking about the time that I'm, no, no, I'm putting my foot down. No.

• 24:57Connor Wood?

  Oh geez, okay.

• 24:58Brooke Averick?

  There's no reason for it.

• 25:00Connor Wood?

  Okay, you brought it up.

• 25:01Brooke Averick?

I know. And I'm putting my foot down. All the things she said, all the things she said running through my head.

• 25:10Connor Wood?

Like I need to regroup. I don't have any.

• 25:13Brooke Averick?

  What will we do?

• 25:14Connor Wood?

  I don't know.

• 25:17Connor Wood?

I have, I have a bunch of stuff that I want to do, but I have to kind of keep it for the bonus.

• 25:23Brooke Averick?

  I mean.

• 25:24Connor Wood?

Keeping poop, poop forward. Did you see the word of the year? Merriam-Webster is slop.

• 25:29Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 25:30Connor Wood?

Yeah. I think it has something to do with like AI slop, but I like to think of it as like, that's how I describe.

• 25:35Brooke Averick?

What's AI slop? Digital content of low quality that is produced usually in quantity by means of artificial intelligence. Wow.

• 25:45Connor Wood?

Yeah. And it's, AI slop is like.

• 25:49Connor Wood?

When a little cat is like,

• 25:53Connor Wood?

or no, a baby is thrown out of a plane and you're watching it and then a cat in a boat,

• 25:56Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 25:57Connor Wood?

A buff cat in a boat picks up the baby.

• 25:59Brooke Averick?

I wish, I wish more than anything, I didn't enjoy it.

• 26:02Connor Wood?

Brooke, I'm watching that start to finish every time.

• 26:05Brooke Averick?

More than anything. I wish more than anything. I wish more than anything.

• 26:08Connor Wood?

This is the shit I'm staying up till one in the morning watching, by the way.

• 26:12Brooke Averick?

  I wish more than anything.

• 26:14Connor Wood?

When people are like, why don't you get, why is your sleep schedule so screwed up? I'm like, because of this. Because I'm, that was, that was so me.

• 26:22Brooke Averick?

My god, that was a tough one.

• 26:23Connor Wood?

Sorry, was that adult sized cat poking out beans?

• 26:26Brooke Averick?

A cat laying down in a pajama set, having diarrhea on the bed. Image description.

• 26:34Connor Wood?

It was beans. It was big pinto beans.

• 26:36Brooke Averick?

  No, it wasn't.

• 26:37Connor Wood?

Can we pull that back up?

• 26:39Brooke Averick?

  That was explosive.

• 26:41Connor Wood?

  It's beans.

• 26:41Brooke Averick?

  Coming out of its butt.

• 26:42Connor Wood?

My god. And there's that buff cat. Oh, oh my god.

• 26:46Brooke Averick?

No, we, we can't. We can't. We can't condone this.

• 26:51Connor Wood?

No, like, why am I watching an AI feline domestic violence case right before my eyes?

• 26:59Brooke Averick?

Because our brains have rotted to the point of no return.

• 27:04Brooke Averick?

I actually think I'm at the point of no return. Stop watching the gorilla on the ring camera.

• 27:08Connor Wood?

  No.

• 27:09Brooke Averick?

Look at me. Stop watching the gorilla on the ring camera with the squirrels. Look at me. Look at my eyes.

• 27:14Connor Wood?

I already saw it. I wanted it to play again. Um, I, like, you know, here's, here's the downfall of humanity. I promise you, this will be, this will be the point of no return, I promise. When you're, you're at a bar or a restaurant or something and they usually have the chive TV playing and it's like, ten crazy slam dunk.

• 27:36Brooke Averick?

  Chive TV?

• 27:37Connor Wood?

Correlation. It's called chive TV. I can't take my eyes off of that. It's like, it's like America's Funniest Videos. It's like, dogs saving the day. It's like themes like that. Like, like kids hitting the T-ball into their parents.

• 27:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 27:49Connor Wood?

  Penis.

• 27:51Connor Wood?

Once, once AI slop gets on there in the TV, eyes crossed, drool coming out.

• 27:56Brooke Averick?

It's so bad. It is so bad. I can't stress that enough. Yeah, I do. I feel like a baby watching those fruits.

• 28:05Connor Wood?

Everyone was watching those fruits bounce around.

• 28:08Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 28:09Connor Wood?

I have a game I want to play in the, in the bonus.

• 28:12Brooke Averick?

Oh, let's play it in the main.

• 28:15Connor Wood?

I don't think so. This is kind of like so last day of school vibes right now. This is

• 28:20Brooke Averick?

This is last day before holiday.

• 28:21Connor Wood?

The vibe that we're giving off right now, this feels like, like finals in, in college. The vibe we're giving off right now is like, teacher has rolled in a TV into the classroom and it's like, Animal Farm, you know?

• 28:32Brooke Averick?

I was thinking Snoopy, Charlie Brown.

• 28:35Connor Wood?

  Pushing through my

• 28:36Brooke Averick?

  Who's calling you?

• 28:37Connor Wood?

Someone pushing through my do not disturb.

• 28:39Brooke Averick?

  Who's calling you?

• 28:40Connor Wood?

  There's truly.

• 28:42Brooke Averick?

That, that is, that is for emergencies. That is for like, someone's in the hospital.

• 28:49Connor Wood?

If someone pushes through my do not disturb, I punish them by not talking to them the rest of the day.

• 28:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, it's not a, it's, it's, it's a faux pas.

• 28:59Connor Wood?

  Shoot me a text.

• 29:01Brooke Averick?

  I, I'm not a caller.

• 29:03Connor Wood?

No, if you, if you call me, just know I'm saying, how dare you?

• 29:07Brooke Averick?

You used to call all the time.

• 29:11Connor Wood?

  I did?

• 29:13Brooke Averick?

  All the time.

• 29:15Connor Wood?

  When? You never call anymore.

• 29:17Brooke Averick?

Back when we first start, got together.

• 29:19Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 29:20Brooke Averick?

You used to call all the time. And I was always like, here he is again.

• 29:27Brooke Averick?

But we would talk all the time on the phone.

• 29:29Connor Wood?

We would talk. It was COVID.

• 29:30Brooke Averick?

But you know, I like, I never call.

• 29:32Connor Wood?

  Yeah. You never called.

• 29:33Brooke Averick?

I never called. But for you, I will answer.

• 29:38Connor Wood?

That is so sweet. Lucky for you, that phase of my life is completely over and done with. I don't call. If I'm on a long walk and I just want to like catch up with someone, I'll call.

• 29:51Brooke Averick?

  That's nice. I wish I called more.

• 29:53Connor Wood?

MD foodie boys right now. I don't call. I don't text.

• 29:57Brooke Averick?

I don't call. I sometimes like to call. I like texting too. I like FaceTiming sometimes.

• 30:04Connor Wood?

I have, I have the notification on my phone and it's like 26 always on my call thing, which always freaks me out, but it's all voicemails. And it's voicemails from like my grandma and stuff where I'm like, I want to keep that and like my friend, I'm like, what if, what if they die and this is the last voicemail?

• 30:19Brooke Averick?

  What's your last voicemail?

• 30:21Connor Wood?

It's from, okay, this is really bad. So I signed up, I guess a long time ago to be an organ donor. And I am a match for someone. So I need to address that.

• 30:35Brooke Averick?

That is not how, oh, like a living organ donor?

• 30:40Connor Wood?

Yep. Hopefully someone's not here to harvest my organs. Um.

• 30:48Connor Wood?

  No, it's this. I.

• 30:52Connor Wood?

It's this. Hey, this is, oh, for a plat- for plasma. Wait. This is for.

• 31:01Connor Wood?

Or, okay. Okay, yeah, it's, it's for like blood or something. I'm a match.

• 31:07Brooke Averick?

  I can't give blood.

• 31:09Connor Wood?

  Why?

• 31:09Brooke Averick?

  I, I'm too short.

• 31:12Connor Wood?

  That is not an excuse.

• 31:14Brooke Averick?

It is. Like, you need to weigh a certain, you need to have a certain height to weight ratio.

• 31:18Connor Wood?

  She's got plenty of blood.

• 31:19Brooke Averick?

No, I don't. You need to have a certain height to weight ratio.

• 31:25Brooke Averick?

It's like, if you're like 6'4", you don't have to weigh that much, but if you're like 4'11", you do, you have to have, there's a weight requirement, basically is what I'm saying.

• 31:31Connor Wood?

  What?

• 31:32Brooke Averick?

Yeah, is he, we're trying to look that up, how much you have to weigh to give blood.

• 31:37Brooke Averick?

Specific height to weight requirements, very slightly.

• 31:42Connor Wood?

You have to weigh 110 pounds.

• 31:46Brooke Averick?

  Wait.

• 31:47Connor Wood?

Oh, male donors must be at least five feet.

• 31:49Brooke Averick?

Female have to be 5'3" and 150 pounds. That's, that's specialized donations. What's regular blood?

• 31:57Brooke Averick?

General requirements, minimum weight usually, I do definitely weigh 110 pounds.

• 32:02Connor Wood?

A five, five woman would need to be 115 pounds. Well, 5'6" and taller might.

• 32:06Brooke Averick?

  Where are you seeing that?

• 32:07Connor Wood?

This, these numbers aren't really adequate.

• 32:09Brooke Averick?

I just remember I wasn't, when I, when my school had a blood drive, I was not eligible. That's all I can tell you.

• 32:15Connor Wood?

So interesting. Mine's for plasma, though. And I heard it really hurts.

• 32:20Brooke Averick?

I, I, I started to get sick just then, when you were talking about plasma.

• 32:24Connor Wood?

  Why?

• 32:26Brooke Averick?

Because it hurts and I don't, I don't want to talk about plasma. To donate blood, your weight must be at least 110 pounds. Okay, I guess I was like in a crazy skinny era. Oh, additional height and weight requirements apply to women shorter than 5'5". Yeah, there were additional requirements. Because I don't think I've dipped below 110 since I was like six.

• 32:50Brooke Averick?

If you know what I mean.

• 32:52Connor Wood?

  Yeah, what's your last voicemail?

• 32:55Brooke Averick?

  Let's see.

• 32:56Connor Wood?

  Etsy?

• 32:58Brooke Averick?

Oh, it says it's from my mom. But it's not.

• 33:02Connor Wood?

  Ooh, spooky.

• 33:06Brooke Averick?

  It's like a fake, it's a fake person.

• 33:11Connor Wood?

  Turn it up.

• 33:12Brooke Averick?

Oh, I guess it is my mom, just like listening to TV.

• 33:15Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 33:18Connor Wood?

  That's just the TV.

• 33:19Brooke Averick?

Yeah, sorry. I thought it was a deep fake.

• 33:24Connor Wood?

That's good, good for you for being wary of that.

• 33:25Brooke Averick?

  Here's a voicemail from Susu.

• 33:29Speaker 04

Oh, my God, I am totally freaking out. I don't know if that's real or not.

• 33:35Brooke Averick?

Oh, I played this when I met Robert Pattinson.

• 33:39Speaker 04

Call me when you can, but don't FaceTime me because I look like shit. But call me. I am freaking out.

• 33:47Brooke Averick?

  I played that.

• 33:47Speaker 04

  You look so gorgeous.

• 33:49Connor Wood?

  Oh, she's so sweet.

• 33:50Speaker 04

  I can't believe that. Goodbye.

• 33:51Brooke Averick?

She really is the greatest. Let me see if I have any more from her.

• 33:57Connor Wood?

Did you see that they, they were trying to make a, like a gender swapped version of holes? And they had to scrap it because like,

• 34:07Connor Wood?

  people were like,

• 34:10Connor Wood?

it's, people are gonna call it like girl holes.

• 34:14Connor Wood?

We can't come out with that.

• 34:16Brooke Averick?

I would not have thought of girl holes until you said girl holes.

• 34:19Connor Wood?

Well, it would be like, did you watch the boy holes or the girl holes?

• 34:22Brooke Averick?

Like, sometimes that just happens, you know? And it is what it is.

• 34:26Connor Wood?

Disney Plus is not proceeding with its, its pilot holes, a reimagining of the 1998 novel and the 2003 with an, with a, with an adaption with a female lead.

• 34:39Connor Wood?

  Girl holes. That's funny.

• 34:45Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 34:46Connor Wood?

  You okay?

• 34:46Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, I am.

• 34:49Connor Wood?

  What?

• 34:54Brooke Averick?

  I am fine.

• 34:55Connor Wood?

  What were you laughing at?

• 34:56Brooke Averick?

  I was just...

• 35:00Brooke Averick?

  I'm fine, thank you.

• 35:01Connor Wood?

What were you laughing at? You were thinking about something.

• 35:03Brooke Averick?

I was just wondering if this is the, if this was the project that was gonna be directed by Loose Asshole.

• 35:22Connor Wood?

And produced by Holden Two Dick?

• 35:23Brooke Averick?

Yes, Holden Two Dicks. Oh my god, I completely forgot about him.

• 35:26Connor Wood?

Love his work. That was good, Brooke.

• 35:29Brooke Averick?

Thanks. I bet you didn't see anything coming.

• 35:32Connor Wood?

  No, I really didn't.

• 35:36Connor Wood?

  Thanks for sharing.

• 35:37Brooke Averick?

  Things are bleak.

• 35:38Connor Wood?

Thanks for sharing that. Fuck. That was awesome.

• 35:42Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, we needed that.

• 35:44Connor Wood?

Oh, so nice to let go.

• 35:48Brooke Averick?

If you don't get it, um, loose asshole.

• 35:52Connor Wood?

No, I think everyone got it.

• 35:53Brooke Averick?

Okay, because I didn't at first. I was screaming, "Who's loose asshole? Who's loose asshole?"

• 36:00Brooke Averick?

So some people might not get it.

• 36:03Connor Wood?

  Who's loose asshole is this?

• 36:06Speaker 00

Coca-Cola. For the big, for the small, the short, and the tall. Peacemakers, risk-takers. For the optimists, pessimists. For long-distance love. For introverts and extroverts. The thinkers and the doers. For old friends and new. Coca-Cola. For everyone. Pick up some Coca-Cola at a store near you.

• 37:06Brooke Averick?

Wait, you wanna hear about my other friends?

• 37:08Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:09Brooke Averick?

Obviously Tristan's been texting everyone non-stop about Loose Asshole and shit like that.

• 37:16Brooke Averick?

You got one? Izzy, how about, what was yours? You got one?

• 37:18Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 37:19Brooke Averick?

  How about you read yours?

• 37:20Connor Wood?

Okay. It's funny that Tristan won't make up stories about stuff too. Connor, do you remember that girl from the house party? I said, "Which one?" He said, "I think her name is Anna Bortion." Or something. She's dating Holden Two Dicks. And he goes, "Holden was there too and I still didn't catch it." Cause I was like reading it.

• 37:38Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 37:38Connor Wood?

And then Kat goes, "I think she's friends with Dixie Normus." Or was that a different girl? Tristan was like, "They're roommates." And Mike Oxlong wants to join as well.

• 37:50Brooke Averick?

You didn't, they didn't tell you about Dix's insider?

• 37:55Brooke Averick?

  And Hugh Jass?

• 37:56Connor Wood?

Hugh Jass is a classic one.

• 37:59Brooke Averick?

It's like not funny and like at all, but it's just like, you know, when someone does a bit past the point and then it becomes funny.

• 38:08Connor Wood?

  Yes.

• 38:10Connor Wood?

That was good. You holding that in? I'll always laugh at a joke when someone's already laughing at it.

• 38:17Brooke Averick?

I've been trying to say it for a really long time too.

• 38:20Connor Wood?

  You were holding that in?

• 38:21Brooke Averick?

Yeah. And then I was like, "Oh, this is good. Cause Loose Asshole could have directed girl holes."

• 38:30Brooke Averick?

And then I couldn't, and then I started laughing.

• 38:32Connor Wood?

No, that was so funny. That was a perfect time to slip in Loose Asshole.

• 38:35Brooke Averick?

  Thanks.

• 38:37Connor Wood?

And then it's like, where do you go from Loose Asshole?

• 38:39Brooke Averick?

Right. It's like, I see how we got here, but I don't see how we can get away from here.

• 38:44Connor Wood?

I went to an awesome dinner last night.

• 38:45Brooke Averick?

  What was it?

• 38:46Connor Wood?

I went to the Waldorf Astoria Roof.

• 38:48Brooke Averick?

  The Waldorf Astoria, did you?

• 38:50Connor Wood?

I was at the Waldorf Astoria last night.

• 38:52Brooke Averick?

  How was it?

• 38:52Connor Wood?

Having dinner. It was really good, but I obviously

• 38:56Brooke Averick?

  What is this boy?

• 38:57Connor Wood?

I got a stomach ache. Right away.

• 39:00Brooke Averick?

  What did you eat?

• 39:01Connor Wood?

  I had...

• 39:03Brooke Averick?

  This is empty foodie voice.

• 39:05Connor Wood?

Yeah. Well, no, here's the thing. Like I, I thought I invented this new thing last night where it's like, I'm gonna have beef and I'm also gonna have fish. Weirdly, it didn't sit right on my stomach.

• 39:16Brooke Averick?

What kind of fish did you have?

• 39:18Connor Wood?

  Um, it was a Branzino.

• 39:21Brooke Averick?

  You like that shit?

• 39:22Connor Wood?

No, fuck no, it was disgusting.

• 39:23Brooke Averick?

  I didn't think you did.

• 39:24Connor Wood?

I got, I, as soon as it came, I said that we should be sitting in the smoker's section. This smells so gross.

• 39:29Brooke Averick?

People really like, I don't know if it's Branzino or Bronzino.

• 39:34Connor Wood?

  It doesn't matter.

• 39:36Brooke Averick?

  People really like that fish.

• 39:38Connor Wood?

It's just weird to have a carcass on the table, no matter what animal it is. Like that shit, that belongs at the bottom of the sea.

• 39:45Brooke Averick?

  Do you like beef tartare?

• 39:47Connor Wood?

  Yes, are you joking?

• 39:48Brooke Averick?

  No, I wasn't.

• 39:50Connor Wood?

  No, I don't like it.

• 39:51Brooke Averick?

  Oh.

• 39:53Connor Wood?

  I like tuna tartare.

• 39:54Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 39:55Connor Wood?

  Thanks.

• 39:55Brooke Averick?

  You're welcome.

• 39:57Connor Wood?

Yeah, so I got, for some, we did like a, it was like five people, so we did like a, everyone, we're all just split, which you know I don't like that.

• 40:07Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 40:08Connor Wood?

I don't like ordering family style, because I'm keeping it in an eye, it's exhausting for me because I'm keeping an eye on how much everyone takes of everything. You know? And then I get a little bit competitive, I'll be full, but if I didn't get my, my section of that yet, hand it over.

• 40:24Brooke Averick?

I love sharing food. I find myself like eating less in a like good way, like I don't eat till I'm like exploding.

• 40:32Connor Wood?

  I'm, I'm-

• 40:32Brooke Averick?

  I stop when I'm full.

• 40:33Connor Wood?

I'm eating in a way that is as if I don't know if I'm, I don't, I don't know when, when my next meal will be.

• 40:38Brooke Averick?

  I get that.

• 40:40Connor Wood?

Because I'm like, oh, we're splitting this, like, I want everything. I even eat stuff that I didn't want to eat. Curry with shrimp in it?

• 40:48Brooke Averick?

  I don't, I wouldn't want, I don't think I would want that.

• 40:50Connor Wood?

No, there shouldn't be shrimp in curry, no offense.

• 40:53Brooke Averick?

I, I don't think there should be curry and shrimp.

• 40:56Connor Wood?

There isn't curry and shrimp, the shrimp is in the curry.

• 40:59Brooke Averick?

I'm just saying I like shrimp and not curry.

• 41:02Connor Wood?

  You would like curry.

• 41:03Brooke Averick?

  No, I wouldn't.

• 41:04Connor Wood?

  Curry is amazing.

• 41:05Brooke Averick?

  I don't like curry.

• 41:05Connor Wood?

  Curry's my favorite food.

• 41:06Brooke Averick?

  I know, I don't like it.

• 41:09Brooke Averick?

  And that's fine.

• 41:10Connor Wood?

  It's fine.

• 41:13Brooke Averick?

Um, I went to Hellstone for the first time.

• 41:16Connor Wood?

  Okay, Rich.

• 41:17Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 41:18Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 41:20Brooke Averick?

I love that like sushi that looks like a sandwich. Do you know what I'm talking about? Or like little finger sandwiches. It was as good as everyone says it is.

• 41:28Connor Wood?

Did you go to one in Santa Monica?

• 41:29Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 41:31Connor Wood?

  That's a good one.

• 41:31Brooke Averick?

I went to one in Beverly Hills.

• 41:35Brooke Averick?

With Lou Sassel. And I think Mike Oxlong met us there. Yeah, I love that shit deeply.

• 41:44Connor Wood?

That's really great. I'm really happy for you. You've been kind of crushing it as of late.

• 41:49Brooke Averick?

  In what could pass.

• 41:50Connor Wood?

You're loving your TV shows. You're going to new restaurants.

• 41:53Brooke Averick?

  You could say that again.

• 41:54Connor Wood?

Me being in LA as a visitor. I am like having the time of my life. I'm doing so much stuff I've never done.

• 42:03Brooke Averick?

  Like what?

• 42:04Connor Wood?

Last night, we, I was with my, we had like our team dinner like end of year. Cause I'm in town, so we went and then my, my manager was like, let's go to the rooster fish in West Hollywood.

• 42:16Brooke Averick?

You went to the rooster fish in West Hollywood and didn't tell me?

• 42:19Connor Wood?

It was closed. I wanted to tell you on the podcast. So we went.

• 42:21Brooke Averick?

Well, I would have met you.

• 42:22Connor Wood?

We went to, I didn't, no, you weren't gonna come out on Monday night.

• 42:26Brooke Averick?

It would have been nice to hear from you.

• 42:27Connor Wood?

We went and I wasn't trying to have an evening at all. But like my, my, my, everybody was having so much fun. I was like, I can't leave. So we went to the Abbey.

• 42:37Brooke Averick?

You went to the Abbey last night?

• 42:39Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 42:40Brooke Averick?

  You are kidding.

• 42:41Connor Wood?

No, I'd never been and it was like karaoke night or something. And we sat there and we, and we had a time.

• 42:47Brooke Averick?

  Wow.

• 42:48Connor Wood?

Sat outside, there's heater on, it's all Christmas vibes.

• 42:51Brooke Averick?

If Tristan found out you were at the Abbey last night and didn't reach out to him, I think he would like genuinely off himself.

• 42:56Connor Wood?

If I was like looking to have, like have a time, I was with like my coworkers in the space or else I would have, but.

• 43:03Brooke Averick?

I just can't believe you were at the Abbey.

• 43:04Connor Wood?

I can't either. I didn't see myself going to the Abbey. The Abbey is the, uh, bar that Chapel Rohn wrote Pink Pony Club about.

• 43:13Brooke Averick?

  Really?

• 43:13Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 43:14Brooke Averick?

I didn't know that. But also.

• 43:16Connor Wood?

  I think.

• 43:16Brooke Averick?

There's just like a, a strip of gay bars in West Hollywood. And on the strip is also High Tops, which is I feel like where I go the most. And our friends go the most. Guess who showed up at High Tops the other night?

• 43:29Connor Wood?

  Who?

• 43:31Connor Wood?

  The Hudson.

• 43:34Brooke Averick?

  Hudson and Connor.

• 43:35Connor Wood?

  Oh, both of them?

• 43:36Brooke Averick?

  Both of them.

• 43:36Connor Wood?

  Wow, damn.

• 43:38Brooke Averick?

Made an appearance. So I went to High Tops on Sunday, just kind of hoping. I just wanted to be in the same space.

• 43:44Connor Wood?

You kind of just always need to have your shoes on.

• 43:46Brooke Averick?

  Exactly.

• 43:46Connor Wood?

Because if they start posting, then you need to be heading out the door.

• 43:49Brooke Averick?

I think I would be good with them, like, talking to them, in a way that I wouldn't be good talking to other celebrities that I like. Because I could say something.

• 43:57Connor Wood?

  Like what?

• 43:58Brooke Averick?

Like about how much their work means to me.

• 44:01Connor Wood?

They would appreciate that, I think. I feel like those are two individuals that we'll be in the same room with at some point.

• 44:08Brooke Averick?

  I can't wait if that's the case.

• 44:14Connor Wood?

Yeah, I do think that that is the case.

• 44:18Brooke Averick?

  Wow. I mean, I can't, like...

• 44:22Connor Wood?

But you know what's gonna happen, and I know this is gonna happen?

• 44:24Brooke Averick?

  You're gonna meet them first?

• 44:25Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 44:26Brooke Averick?

  I'm so mad at you.

• 44:27Connor Wood?

  I don't...

• 44:28Brooke Averick?

  Already.

• 44:29Connor Wood?

It's something, I think it's because... It's not supposed to happen. That's why it always happens.

• 44:34Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 44:35Connor Wood?

I haven't seen Matthew Gray in a second.

• 44:37Brooke Averick?

  I know, I'm worried.

• 44:38Connor Wood?

I'm worried too. I should check on him.

• 44:39Brooke Averick?

  You should check on him.

• 44:40Connor Wood?

  He doesn't...

• 44:41Brooke Averick?

Have you ever, you should try DMing him.

• 44:46Brooke Averick?

Just say, "I haven't seen you in a long time. I miss you and hope everything's okay. Checking on you."

• 44:51Connor Wood?

Yeah, you know what? I will. That's my friend.

• 44:53Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, that is your friend.

• 44:55Connor Wood?

  MGG.

• 44:55Brooke Averick?

It's a nice thing to do.

• 44:57Connor Wood?

  Matthew. What should I say?

• 45:01Brooke Averick?

  Hey, buddy.

• 45:02Connor Wood?

  Hey, buddy, yeah.

• 45:04Brooke Averick?

  I haven't seen you in a while.

• 45:05Connor Wood?

  Gooplergram, okay.

• 45:10Connor Wood?

Okay, I'm gonna unsend a couple messages very quickly.

• 45:12Brooke Averick?

  What did you send?

• 45:14Connor Wood?

I asked him to come on the podcast on October 2nd.

• 45:18Brooke Averick?

  Of this year?

• 45:19Connor Wood?

Yeah. He didn't read it, it's okay. "Hey, buddy.

• 45:26Connor Wood?

Haven't seen you in a minute or so."

• 45:32Brooke Averick?

  Give or take.

• 45:33Connor Wood?

  Give or take.

• 45:36Connor Wood?

  Hope you're well.

• 45:37Brooke Averick?

Lou Sassel and I were just catching up.

• 45:41Brooke Averick?

  Lou Sassel.

• 45:43Connor Wood?

And I were just catching up.

• 45:49Connor Wood?

"Miss you. Hope to see you."

• 45:52Brooke Averick?

  And you came up.

• 45:54Connor Wood?

  Over the holiday.

• 45:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 45:59Connor Wood?

Loose asshole and I were just catching up.

• 46:01Brooke Averick?

And you came and you came up.

• 46:04Connor Wood?

  And you came up.

• 46:05Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 46:10Connor Wood?

  Perfect. Sent.

• 46:11Brooke Averick?

  Sent?

• 46:11Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 46:11Brooke Averick?

  Nice.

• 46:12Connor Wood?

Hey buddy, haven't seen you in a minute or so, give or take. Loose asshole and I were just catching up and you came up. Miss you. Hope to see you over the holiday.

• 46:20Brooke Averick?

  P.S.

• 46:21Connor Wood?

  P.S. I love you.

• 46:22Brooke Averick?

Mike, Mike Literus sends his regards.

• 46:24Connor Wood?

No, I can't. Not to MGG. I can't say Mike Literus. Also sends, also sends his regards.

• 46:33Brooke Averick?

  Why?

• 46:34Connor Wood?

I don't know if he's into that type of stuff.

• 46:37Brooke Averick?

  That's true. He's probably not.

• 46:40Connor Wood?

  Loose asshole?

• 46:41Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 46:42Connor Wood?

  He might be into that.

• 46:43Brooke Averick?

Genuinely, when you read Loose Asshole, like that doesn't, like, cause Lou and Sassel both like, they check out.

• 46:51Connor Wood?

I want him to read it to someone. Yeah. What's so weird is you know, I've met his parents.

• 46:56Brooke Averick?

  I do know that.

• 46:58Connor Wood?

It's crazy. Um, another, another celeb thing. I was talking to someone last night and they work out at this gym that Will Ferrell frequents and.

• 47:10Brooke Averick?

  Equinox?

• 47:10Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 47:11Brooke Averick?

I used to see him when I went.

• 47:12Connor Wood?

Yeah. Said that she was watching our podcast on her phone and he was over, watching over her shoulder and laughing.

• 47:18Brooke Averick?

  There's not, that's a lie.

• 47:19Connor Wood?

  Will Ferrell.

• 47:20Brooke Averick?

  I hate to tell you.

• 47:22Connor Wood?

  It's not like I didn't.

• 47:22Brooke Averick?

  She was watching without headphones?

• 47:24Connor Wood?

  No. So he wasn't.

• 47:26Brooke Averick?

There's no way he was looking at her phone with no volume and laughing.

• 47:29Connor Wood?

  Okay, maybe we could just.

• 47:30Brooke Averick?

Unless he was making fun of the way we look.

• 47:34Connor Wood?

  Yeah, that sucks.

• 47:37Connor Wood?

Let's, let's, let's switch because that bummed me out. Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

• 47:43Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I genuinely want to walk for 30 minutes every day.

• 47:48Brooke Averick?

I have to start writing my next book in January.

• 47:52Connor Wood?

Could you, is there a world where you could write while you walk?

• 47:56Brooke Averick?

  No.

• 47:57Connor Wood?

  Cause you have to.

• 47:59Brooke Averick?

The only thing I do when I'm walking is think, I hate this.

• 48:02Connor Wood?

You and, you and cousin Logan hate walking.

• 48:04Brooke Averick?

  I just.

• 48:05Connor Wood?

She'll walk a little bit and she goes, my ears are hurting from walking.

• 48:07Brooke Averick?

My thighs start to itch so badly whenever I walk.

• 48:11Connor Wood?

I am a walking, you can't, you can't sit me down in a chair.

• 48:15Brooke Averick?

I used to be so good.

• 48:17Connor Wood?

I love walking. We used to walk a lot during COVID.

• 48:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, we did.

• 48:22Connor Wood?

We'd walk to all the pet stores and try to find a frog.

• 48:24Brooke Averick?

Yeah. How crazy is it that very pet stores where I got Jonathan?

• 48:29Connor Wood?

  It is.

• 48:30Brooke Averick?

Where we were looking for frogs.

• 48:32Connor Wood?

My new year's resolution is to start responding to texts as they, as they come in. Because my phone, which by the way, I got the new phone over the weekend. I fucking hate it. I don't get how to use any part of this phone.

• 48:52Brooke Averick?

I really, I hate the new texting interface where it's like, if you want to screenshot a text, like the text above it will always be a little bit visible. Do you know what I'm talking about?

• 49:03Connor Wood?

No, but I don't like when you screenshot now you have to be like, you have to save it to your phones. And this also sucks when I complain about stuff like this. That's like, okay, that's really not an issue. Like people are starving. But, and it makes me think of, I think Jake Cornell, the comedian, he said, he was talking about people in favor of AI, like using chat GPT. He's like, people that are saying that like now you can ask chat GPT something. You don't have to scroll to a second page of Google. He's like, and was that hard for you to do scrolling to the second page of Google? It was so hard that we had to create a solution for that. And it's true. Life is becoming so easy that that screenshotting is hard for me. I need a reality check.

• 49:48Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I completely agree, Connor. It's not good.

• 49:51Connor Wood?

  No.

• 49:52Brooke Averick?

And I'm a victim to it.

• 49:54Connor Wood?

  Here's something that I hate a lot.

• 49:56Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 49:57Connor Wood?

Hey, we've updated the phone. We put the camera button here because everyone's taking their photos this way. And then what you're going to love next is when you take the picture, the photos go into a secret place where you can't find them. And by the way, you want to send your friend a couple? Guess what? iPad link. They're gonna get them and they're gonna see that they're there, but they'll never, they'll never be able to save them to the phone.

• 50:21Brooke Averick?

No, but that's nothing new. I just can't find my photos.

• 50:25Connor Wood?

No, I'll, I'll save a photo from someone and I know that it's somewhere, but there's no, it's like a needle in the haystack. I would love to find a needle in the haystack. That's something that I feel like I would-

• 50:37Brooke Averick?

That doesn't seem very hard to me.

• 50:38Connor Wood?

I feel like I'd be really good at it.

• 50:40Brooke Averick?

I know, I do think I would be able to do that.

• 50:43Connor Wood?

Can we do that as a YouTube video?

• 50:45Brooke Averick?

Brooke and Connor find a needle in a haystack? What kind of needle?

• 50:50Connor Wood?

  A needle, a standard needle.

• 50:52Brooke Averick?

Like a classics needle and thread?

• 50:54Connor Wood?

Can I say something? That's my perfect day.

• 50:58Brooke Averick?

Finding a needle in a haystack?

• 50:59Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 50:59Brooke Averick?

Yeah, I can see you becoming hyper focused on a task that has no significance or meaning.

• 51:08Brooke Averick?

  Dream, my dream date, cute.

• 51:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah, I love untangling things.

• 51:11Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, you're good at that.

• 51:12Connor Wood?

I am good at that. And I think it's funny, I, I, I remember in like high school and stuff, people would always be like, is anyone good at this? Cause they'd like manipulate people into being like, I am. I was like, I know that they're manipulating me, but like, I'll bite. I am good.

• 51:25Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 51:25Connor Wood?

Girls would always like, put like six necklaces into their makeup bag and be like, can you untangle these six?

• 51:29Brooke Averick?

  Oh my god.

• 51:30Connor Wood?

Perfect. That's a great project for me.

• 51:32Brooke Averick?

I, that is really sweet thinking about if they had a crush on you, like at home tangling their jewelry. To bring them, to bring it in for you to untangle.

• 51:38Connor Wood?

  Oh yeah, wow.

• 51:40Brooke Averick?

  I would have done that.

• 51:40Connor Wood?

Maybe put that in your back pocket.

• 51:42Brooke Averick?

  I would have done that.

• 51:43Connor Wood?

For the novels, for the novellas.

• 51:46Brooke Averick?

One time when I was in first grade, I asked a boy I liked for a goldfish.

• 51:51Connor Wood?

  Like a snack?

• 51:52Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, because I-

• 51:54Connor Wood?

  The one that smiles back?

• 51:54Brooke Averick?

Yeah, cause I wanted to like, keep it and like, in a treasure chest. I wanted to make a box of treasures. And I said, can I have a goldfish? And he said, no, because I know that you like me.

• 52:08Brooke Averick?

Can you, like, I was like, how did he know I wanted to keep it? You know, like, how did he know I had a sinister plan?

• 52:14Connor Wood?

You know what he said in so many words?

• 52:16Brooke Averick?

  What?

• 52:16Connor Wood?

  I'm not, I'm not looking

• 52:18Brooke Averick?

  I'm not looking

• 52:18Connor Wood?

for anything serious right now. And, and me giving this goldfish would...

• 52:23Brooke Averick?

He didn't want to give me the wrong idea. I think, I think he was like trying to be like, clear. I think he was trying to be clear about his intentions.

• 52:30Connor Wood?

Yeah, he's keeping things casual right now.

• 52:32Brooke Averick?

I just remember being really like, whoa, by that.

• 52:35Connor Wood?

I kind of, he set a boundary very early.

• 52:37Brooke Averick?

Six years old, no, because I know that you like me. He didn't, and he didn't want to share his goldfish with me. He was the hottest guy in school.

• 52:45Connor Wood?

  He was six?

• 52:47Brooke Averick?

  So was I.

• 52:47Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 52:51Connor Wood?

I don't really postpartum, calling a six-year-old hot is kosher. Yeah.

• 52:54Brooke Averick?

I, when I was six, and my six-year-old peers and I viewed him as the hottest guy in school. And when I was 18, he was still the hottest guy in school. Still didn't, still wouldn't share the goldfish with me.

• 53:09Connor Wood?

  Did you ask?

• 53:10Brooke Averick?

  No, obviously scarred.

• 53:12Connor Wood?

  Was it crispy?

• 53:14Brooke Averick?

  Was it crispy?

• 53:15Connor Wood?

  Right, right.

• 53:16Brooke Averick?

  Right. Right.

• 53:22Connor Wood?

I can't believe you have so many memories of when you were six. I didn't have my first...

• 53:24Brooke Averick?

Well, that's like, is about, like, that, like, sticks with you.

• 53:28Connor Wood?

No, you remember almost everything. I don't, I don't have a memory of a year ago. And I figured out why. It's because my ADHD is so severe that I'm so thinking about the next thing that's gonna happen while the thing is happening that I don't compartmentalize or save memories to my brain.

• 53:44Brooke Averick?

I realize I've like never been in the moment. Recently, I've been thinking that.

• 53:48Connor Wood?

Well, the thing that helps with that is five things you can see, four things you can hear, three things you can

• 53:55Connor Wood?

  feel,

• 53:58Connor Wood?

  two things you can...

• 54:01Connor Wood?

Smell and be crazy smelling two things at once. And then one thing you can taste, which is always just like my tongue.

• 54:08Brooke Averick?

I've, um, you know, I've been on a few dates recently. And, um, I realized like when I'm talk, was talking to these, these young men. There was not one second where I was like, listening to what they were saying. It was all just like thinking about the situation.

• 54:28Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 54:29Brooke Averick?

  Five steps down the line.

• 54:30Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 54:31Brooke Averick?

I couldn't tell you what I, what their, what their jobs are.

• 54:34Connor Wood?

  That's not important.

• 54:36Brooke Averick?

But it's just like, I would like to be in a conversation.

• 54:40Connor Wood?

  Sure.

• 54:41Brooke Averick?

But I, I found myself not in them recently.

• 54:44Connor Wood?

I remember one time we talked about. I, or I posted like, how am I, how do I, how do, I Googled like how to care when someone's talking. Cause I was sometimes in situations where I'm just like, oh my gosh, I really don't care. And someone sent me the meanest message.

• 55:00Brooke Averick?

  What did they say?

• 55:01Connor Wood?

Like something about, I'm a narcissist. I don't, I don't know. I didn't really read it, but it was mean.

• 55:05Brooke Averick?

I don't think that, well, maybe if you just like genuinely don't care, it's not great. But I care. I just, I can't, I'm thinking about something. I have to think about something else right now.

• 55:14Connor Wood?

Yeah. You, yeah. But I'm talking about like, I'm, I'm, I'm cornered by this person, this individual at like a party or something.

• 55:21Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 55:22Connor Wood?

Oh, get me out of here.

• 55:23Brooke Averick?

Yeah, no, that's not your fault that you don't care about that.

• 55:25Connor Wood?

And it's like someone would walk up to me and be like, my parents met on a cruise in the eighties. And it's like, okay.

• 55:29Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, exactly.

• 55:30Connor Wood?

Well, that has to do, what, maybe this is the issue. I'm a narcissist. What does that have to do with me? How does that affect me?

• 55:36Brooke Averick?

  That is narcissism.

• 55:37Connor Wood?

Yeah. Unless I can, unless I need something from this individual.

• 55:40Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 55:41Connor Wood?

Then it has a lot to do with me. No way, a cruise?

• 55:43Brooke Averick?

  Still narcissism.

• 55:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 55:46Connor Wood?

At least I'm a self-aware. Although I don't think many narcissists would be like, I'm a narcissist and I know it.

• 55:53Brooke Averick?

I think Izzy, can we look up our narcissists self-aware of their narcissism?

• 55:58Connor Wood?

I think historically, I don't think they are.

• 56:00Brooke Averick?

  I don't think self-awareness absolves you.

• 56:03Connor Wood?

I think you could have narcissistic traits without being like a.

• 56:06Brooke Averick?

Ooh. Well, they generally have a significant lack of awareness.

• 56:12Brooke Averick?

So maybe you have narcissistic tendencies.

• 56:15Connor Wood?

  Yeah, sure. Personal gain is-

• 56:17Brooke Averick?

You might be too anxious to be a narcissist.

• 56:19Connor Wood?

Yeah, cuz I am worried about how people perceive me.

• 56:21Brooke Averick?

Yeah. Which I feel like a narcissist maybe wouldn't be.

• 56:26Brooke Averick?

Wanna take the "Am I a narcissist?" test?

• 56:29Connor Wood?

  Yeah. Is it really long?

• 56:30Brooke Averick?

  It's just a five-minute quiz.

• 56:31Connor Wood?

Five-minute quiz, okay. I need to be constantly praised. Strongly agree. Thank you. Next.

• 56:38Connor Wood?

I worry about my image all the time. Yep, that's a strong one. I can be extremely competitive. Yeah, I can't play Monopoly anymore. Yes.

• 56:47Connor Wood?

I am more generous and kind when I have an audience. Go ahead and put me down for strongly agree.

• 56:52Connor Wood?

  I rarely hold a grudge.

• 56:53Brooke Averick?

  Strongly disagree.

• 56:54Connor Wood?

Hit me with the opposite. Yep, strongly disagree with that. I often experience a deep feeling of shame.

• 56:59Brooke Averick?

  Ooh.

• 57:00Connor Wood?

Hmm. I don't know if it's a deep feeling of shame. I'm gonna just say

• 57:06Connor Wood?

  often, no, I don't think I, neutral.

• 57:11Connor Wood?

I can be described as a shy person. No.

• 57:15Connor Wood?

I struggle to read people or determine how they feel. No. Okay, I'm reading everybody. And I'm making up my version of them.

• 57:22Brooke Averick?

I don't think you're reading them correctly all the time.

• 57:24Connor Wood?

To determine how they feel. I think I'm, oh, I struggle to read people. I'm gonna say disagree, but not strongly disagree.

• 57:32Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 57:34Connor Wood?

Doesn't even make sense for the individual that's trying to see if they're narcissists to take a test like this, you know? Cuz it's like, I rarely feel guilt or remorse. I disagree.

• 57:44Connor Wood?

I do my best to avoid conflict. I agree.

• 57:49Connor Wood?

I think most people are doing the best they can with what they have.

• 57:54Connor Wood?

  Disagree.

• 57:58Connor Wood?

I often disagree with someone else's feedback on my- Strongly agree. Strongly agree. I am extremely adverse to mediocrity.

• 58:08Connor Wood?

  That one's interesting.

• 58:09Brooke Averick?

  That is interesting.

• 58:10Connor Wood?

  I am ad-

• 58:10Brooke Averick?

  I think you are.

• 58:11Connor Wood?

I am extremely adverse to mediocrity.

• 58:13Brooke Averick?

Both for yourself and with others.

• 58:14Connor Wood?

  Yeah, okay. I agree.

• 58:19Connor Wood?

I have an overly defensive attitude. I strongly agree.

• 58:23Connor Wood?

  I strongly agree with that.

• 58:24Brooke Averick?

  I very strongly agree.

• 58:25Connor Wood?

My close friends rarely disappoint me.

• 58:30Connor Wood?

Yeah, no one really disappoints me. Yeah, I agree.

• 58:36Connor Wood?

This is gonna be longer than five minutes. Do you see the little loading bar?

• 58:43Brooke Averick?

Yeah, is that the loading bar?

• 58:44Connor Wood?

  Yeah, it is.

• 58:45Brooke Averick?

We can finish it in the bonus.

• 58:47Connor Wood?

Okay, well, this is in the bonus. Because I want to finish with my, I want to finish right now with my, um, my New Year's resolutions.

• 58:55Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, what are they?

• 58:55Connor Wood?

One, I want to read my tax.

• 58:58Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 58:59Connor Wood?

Which like seems so easy, but it's a real heavy lift for me. But then I got the new phone and it started over. So now I only have, now I only have 105 unread since I got the phone on Sunday.

• 59:12Brooke Averick?

  That's ridiculous.

• 59:19Connor Wood?

  One is that.

• 59:22Connor Wood?

Two, I was, I was trying to train to run the marathon next year in New York.

• 59:26Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 59:26Connor Wood?

But then, this is a douchebag in this next sentence. Then someone was like, if you run a lot, you don't retain as much of the like muscle gain on your body from lifting. So I'm cutting back on running. So I need to figure out a new fitness goal.

• 59:42Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 59:47Connor Wood?

And then the rest I can't say.

• 59:50Brooke Averick?

  And the rest is history?

• 59:51Connor Wood?

  Herstory.

• 59:54Brooke Averick?

I'm just really want to go outside of my comfort zone.

• 59:56Connor Wood?

Yeah, I think you're doing that.

• 59:57Brooke Averick?

  I think I really am.

• 59:58Connor Wood?

How nice to have started on

• 1:00:00Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:00Connor Wood?

  New Year's resolutions before.

• 1:00:01Brooke Averick?

I got a head start, but I'm gonna do it even more, which is crazy.

• 1:00:05Connor Wood?

  That is crazy and awesome.

• 1:00:07Brooke Averick?

  And very awesome.

• 1:00:09Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:09Brooke Averick?

My bangs changed my life. I'm not even, I'm not just saying that.

• 1:00:14Connor Wood?

  Maybe I gotta get banged.

• 1:00:15Brooke Averick?

  Maybe.

• 1:00:16Connor Wood?

I come in for the next episode in the new year and I'm full blown, I have a bowl cut.

• 1:00:20Brooke Averick?

Yeah. You would look good with the Will Byers cut. Because you guys have the same shaped face, kinda.

• 1:00:26Connor Wood?

Can you pull up Will Byers?

• 1:00:27Brooke Averick?

Do you know who that is? Snowmishap? Does that make sense?

• 1:00:32Connor Wood?

I wouldn't look good with that, and we do not have the same shaped face.

• 1:00:35Brooke Averick?

Look, I'm thinking of him like the one below, Izzy. Yeah.

• 1:00:39Connor Wood?

  Coconut head?

• 1:00:42Connor Wood?

  You think I look like a 12-year-old?

• 1:00:44Brooke Averick?

  You do look young.

• 1:00:46Connor Wood?

  Wow.

• 1:00:47Brooke Averick?

  But in an amazing way.

• 1:00:48Connor Wood?

It's a hyaluronic acid that I'm soaking in it every night.

• 1:00:53Brooke Averick?

  Are you?

• 1:00:54Connor Wood?

  Yeah.

• 1:00:55Brooke Averick?

Okay, well, let's wrap this one up.

• 1:00:58Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:00:59Brooke Averick?

Let's put us out of our misery. Put you out of your misery, the listeners.

• 1:01:03Connor Wood?

Yeah, well, happy holidays, happy Hanukkah, happy Christmas, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.

• 1:01:09Brooke Averick?

We love you. Thanks for an amazing year.

• 1:01:11Connor Wood?

  Thanks for an amazing year.

• 1:01:12Brooke Averick?

2026 is gonna be balls to the wall, like, good.

• 1:01:15Connor Wood?

It is. Oh, my gosh, we have so much fun stuff.

• 1:01:18Brooke Averick?

  Yeah, we really do.

• 1:01:19Connor Wood?

And then we filmed a new YouTube video last week. And that will be out.

• 1:01:26Brooke Averick?

  Eventually.

• 1:01:28Connor Wood?

  Soon.

• 1:01:28Brooke Averick?

  Soon.

• 1:01:31Connor Wood?

Oh, Izzy, that was the day I really actually thought my hair looked good.

• 1:01:35Brooke Averick?

That was your bowl cut. I told you, like...

• 1:01:38Connor Wood?

You know what's crazy is that was like, that was like clip farming. We had so many clips from that episode and I was like, "Gosh dang it, that sucks. What the hell? No one said anything."

• 1:01:50Brooke Averick?

I did. Because you've always said you would want to know.

• 1:01:55Connor Wood?

  Yeah, but...

• 1:01:55Brooke Averick?

I said, Connie, baby, I don't think you want to do the bangs. I said, I don't think you want to do the bangs. I don't think you want to do the bangs.

• 1:02:01Connor Wood?

Where are your friends at a time like this?

• 1:02:03Brooke Averick?

  I was right there.

• 1:02:05Connor Wood?

  Oh, my gosh.

• 1:02:05Brooke Averick?

You weren't listening, you got defensive.

• 1:02:07Connor Wood?

It looks like I'm wearing a wig, like a bat wig.

• 1:02:09Brooke Averick?

  You got defensive.

• 1:02:10Connor Wood?

Oh, my gosh, it looks like I skinned a raccoon on the way in.

• 1:02:14Brooke Averick?

  You got defensive.

• 1:02:16Connor Wood?

Oh, my God, I look like David Bowie.

• 1:02:17Brooke Averick?

Any... And with David Bowie, we leave you.

• 1:02:22Connor Wood?

I stand with David Bowie. Hang on, don't hold me on that. I can't remember the history of David Bowie.

• 1:02:28Brooke Averick?

  Connor, baby, it's Bowie.

• 1:02:30Connor Wood?

No, no, no. Type in David Bowie, raccoon.

• 1:02:37Connor Wood?

Ooh, you were about to get learned today.

• 1:02:40Brooke Averick?

Is that who you were talking about, though?

• 1:02:42Connor Wood?

David Bowie at the Alamo. Hell, yeah. Okay, so this is just AI-generated images of raccoons dressed up as David Bowie? No. This is not who I'm thinking of. Perhaps I flubbed a bit. But hang on, I'm on to something. There's Alamo.

• 1:03:00Brooke Averick?

  People look up Alamo raccoon.

• 1:03:02Connor Wood?

No, it's something Bowie. Something Bowie. Alamo raccoon hat guy.

• 1:03:12Connor Wood?

  It's Davy Crockett, sorry.

• 1:03:22Brooke Averick?

All right, we are going to head on out for the year.

• 1:03:28Connor Wood?

God knows we could use a little bit of a breather.

• 1:03:30Brooke Averick?

And some grace while you're at it.

• 1:03:33Connor Wood?

I think we could leave. I think we all owe everybody enough grace.

• 1:03:39Brooke Averick?

  Okay.

• 1:03:40Connor Wood?

  I'm leading with love.

• 1:03:41Brooke Averick?

Um, Lou Sassel just got here, so I genuinely do have to go.

• 1:03:44Connor Wood?

And Holden Two Dicks is staring at me like I owe him money.

• 1:03:48Brooke Averick?

  Yeah.

• 1:03:48Connor Wood?

So I'm gonna head out over there, too.

• 1:03:50Brooke Averick?

  Love, yeah.

• 1:03:51Connor Wood?

We love you, guys. Sorry about that. We'll see you in the new year. Hope everyone's well.

• 1:03:56Brooke Averick?

  I do genuinely do, too.

• 1:03:58Connor Wood?

  Okay.

• 1:04:00Connor Wood?

  Bye.

• 1:04:40Speaker 01
