Hi, Telepathy Tape listeners. This is Laura Lynn Jackson. I'm thrilled to be part of Season 2 of the Telepathy Tapes and share my story with you. Thank you for writing in, and I'm so excited to answer your thoughtful questions. Let's get started. Hi, Laura. Is there anything that you did to practice your ability, or has it always been natural? Did you have any guidance? Well, I really love this question, and I feel like it's a little bit of a trick question from the start, because of course I had guidance in the sense that we all are guided in every moment that we're here on Earth School. So I think from the moment my soul came here, my team of light on the other side, you know, because I believe we all have a team of light that's made up of God energy, this force

of love that connects us and inspires us and guides us every day, as well as what I see as spirit guides, which are advanced angelic beings, who are really our teachers and our mentors. They're nobody we knew this lifetime, but they guide us from the other side, and our souls contracted with them before we came here to Earth School to kind of nudge us, get us in the right place at the right time, help us avoid things. And then the third part of our team of light is anyone we loved who's crossed, including our ancestors. So when our Souls arrive here on our school, we're already open and in a state of guidance. And quite honestly, before we acquire language and start formal schooling, we're using that guidance to understand the world around us, to understand the energies, to feel the love surrounding us.

So, most children between age five and seven will tend to tune out from that ability that they have to really tap into their inner guidance, really feel that deep connection with their team of light, and really be shown a path by them. And the reason for that is because we start formal schooling. And so we retrain our brainwave activity into the frontal lobe of our brain. And the frontal lobe is what is in charge of analytical thinking, critical thinking, math skills, language skills, all the day to day stuff. And I think we distance ourselves from that connection to the other side, to our team of light, to our inner light and all of those things, because we get trapped in that frontal lobe. And researchers have studied this, and 98% of people's brainwave activities

takes place in that frontal lobe exclusively during waking hours. It's only during sleeping hours that we can shift and receive guidance again and make that reconnection, at least most of us. So, when I first arrived here as a soul on earth, I was definitely open to the guidance of the other side, just like we all are. I think perhaps the difference about me was once I started formal schooling and school tried to retrain my brainwaves, part of me sort of left this switch that can connect with the other side and with other parts of my brain, open. Scientists have said to me, perhaps your switch was a little wonky or loose, or you just always knew where it was and how to access it.

• 3:50Speaker 02

I can't say for sure why these abilities just came so much more fluidly and pronounced for me than for others, but I can say that they've always been there. Now, anyone listening, I want you to know, there's really nothing special about me. Everything I have, you have as well. It's just that you probably listened to the directions a little more when formal schooling started, and you probably really did a great job of retraining your brainwaves into that frontal lobe and pretty much closing out the other information. Well, what I've come to understand is that this guidance is helpful on all our paths. And opening to it can have practical, wonderful implications and really powerful, personal ones, too. Anything from being able to tune in and guided to a really great parking spot,

to being able to tune in and gain confidence and an understanding in being guided to our highest path, perhaps in careers, perhaps in our personal lives and relationships and journeys. But it can be really powerful. So, yes, it's always been there for me and it is natural for me. But it has also always been there for you and it is actually your natural state of being. It's just a matter of tuning back in. A lot of times people will say to me, "Well, how do I go about doing that? How do I even get back there?" And here's the truth. What I've learned is that intention is the most powerful tool we can use to re-access that connection.

• 5:18Speaker 02

It is setting the intention with that frontal lobe, you know, what meditation teachers refer to as the monkey mind, setting the intention in that area of our brain to reopen, to ask to be guided, to open our minds and hearts, to being able to perceive and receive the signs and messages and guidance that has been there for us all along. All right, so next question. What advice would Laura have for other non-speaking children who are learning to navigate these amazing but sometimes overwhelming gifts?
